Bucky got injected with some hostile nanobots on a mission, and he and Steve have to have sex to keep the nanos inactive until the cure is completed. What makes this worse is that Bucky has really not been wanting to have sex with anybody after everything HYDRA did to him. But Bucky and Steve are in this together, and they are by God going to get through it.
Based on a capkink prompt asking for Steve/Bucky fuck or die after past HYDRA sexual trauma, with lots of emphasis on trust.

[05 March 2003, approximately 16:45]: James Buchanan Barnes and his best friend Steven Grant Rogers, then 13 years of age, said goodbye to each other on the corner of York and Bridge St. after stopping at Nelson’s Deli to pick up some small items for their mothers. They had been delayed at school to serve a detention received for a fistfight in the schoolyard at lunchtime, departing at 16:10. S. Rogers was the last person to see him.
James B. Barnes vanished without any leads, two blocks from his house. A few drops of blood and scattered groceries were found at the scene. No security camera footage.
[04 June 2015]: James B. Barnes (26) found alive, along with Timothy Dugan (28), Gabriel Jones (25), and James Morita (27), in a bunker hidden beneath a cornfield on the farm of Johann Schmidt (58) outside of Shelbyville, Indiana.

As she looked down with dismay at her old body and Steve sobbing beside the corpse, it occurred to her that in whatever future she had as a dead person, it would be both a blessing and curse to go on. Was she a ghost or simply a hindrance? It wasn't any concern to her because there was nothing there could be done about the matter, heroic tales be damned.
