Summary
Officially, the Coruscant Guard were a collection of specially-produced batches of Clones designed and trained for Military Police work, collected together to defend the Military and Political infrastructure of Coruscant. To the Senate, the Jedi, and the Public, they are a constant reminder of how much the war has consumed the daily life of the Republic. To the GAR, they're some warped mirror of their Brothers, enforcing strict regulations and uncaring for their own struggles.
Unofficially, the Coruscant Guard are the willing tools of the Sith, trained since they were decanted or pulled from the ranks of the GAR to be loyal not to the Republic, but to the Dark Lords. To the Guard, everyone else are ignorant fools who don't see what's right in front of their faces.
All of these viewpoints are, in some way, correct. And where there is a shared truth, there is overlap. And where there is overlap, there is potential for change.
(The Coruscant Guard are born, bred, and raised Sith. Now if only everyone else didn't try and bridge the gap.)

It almost feels like treason to make such a comparison, but it appears to be the truth. Cody has always struggled with privacy and intimacy in a way most of his brothers didn’t, constantly stopped in his tracks by the nagging thought that he’s crossing some invisible line.***
“As I was saying before,” Cody continues, jaw clenched and molars grinding against one another, “the General seems uneasy with too much familiarity, and if he prefers to keep his distance, we should all try to respect his wishes. It’s the least we can offer him after all he has done — and is doing — for us.”

Summary
The war is over, and there is a new Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. One would think that this would make passing the Clone Rights Bill easier, what with the former Sith Lord no longer in charge. Unfortunately, one would be wrong.
Clone Representative Cody and his former general Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi have decided to get married for the sake of the Clone Rights Bill.
Problem: they have framed this marriage as a marriage of convenience, even though they are madly in love with one another. Can they keep up the hoax? Or will their relationship be revealed for the truth it actually holds?
(a rewrite of The Convenience of Marriage, now with an actual outline so i know where the story is going. the first few chapters will likely stay pretty similar to the original, but they will have at least minor changes. chapter 1 is extended quite a bit, for example)

He rounded the corner towards the square right in front of the Temple– it was different than before because there had never been a square in front of the Temple.
Obi-Wan froze in place the moment he looked up. His eyes observed the large statues one by one.
Plo Koon, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto– they were all Councillors during the War.
Obi-Wan stood in front of the statues as tears welled up in his eyes. He hadn’t seen them in a long time and these statues looked exactly like them. From facial features and expression down to the way they were seated– as if they were in a regular Council meeting.
“Look Uncle Ben! It’s–” Obi-Wan leaped to Luke and covered his mouth before he could say anything else.
“Yes, I see, it’s General Kenobi.” He hoped the beings whose attention was drawn towards them would move on quickly. “But try not to shout, Luke, alright?”
His eyes left the boy to observe the statue of himself.
