Something flashed across Navia’s expression, too dark to properly see, but all the same the sense and realization she’d been outpacing came in a shot of momentary panic. Had she revealed too much? Navia, in her brilliance, could very damn well intuit the weight of her words—the foreboding acceptance there that has become a great burden. Navia had to know. It was naive to think that she could keep anything from her, and secrecy had turned the past week into an entire lifetime.

well. to call it her house is a little bit of a stretch, seeing as it is a terrifyingly immense maze and also does not belong to her, but it is the shelter she has claimed for herself for the past weeks and so the name stays. it would be almost peaceful, here.
almost, if it weren’t for the horrors lurking outside of the safety of the maze, and the mirror spirit that lurks within the glass in the center of it.
(or, clorinde falls into another dimension. the only way she can make it back is with the aid of a mysterious spirit, but the first rule of dealing with spirits is that they never do anything without taking something in return.)

“Yes, yes it is,” Clorinde admits, taking a bite out of a macaron herself. Clorinde isn’t the biggest fan of sweets but she tastes nothing wrong with the macarons she bought, why is Navia mad? Considering Navia expressed her love for macarons many times before, it surprised her to hear such disdain from her voice. “Why? Is something wrong with it?”
