Summary
Breaking the distance between them felt natural, like two magnets drawn together with the simple feeling of Torch’s hand coming to rest on Clancy’s shoulder in a friendly touch. He didn’t let it linger for too long, pulling away just before his attention was drawn to the sound of twigs snapping in the woods behind them.
And then everything turned weird.
The next five or so minutes only played out in flashes, like old photographs capturing the odd moment here or there.
Clancy was beside him, and then he wasn’t.

Clancy just escaped the dark and emprisoning city of Dema. He's so tired of Nico and his homies, the bishops (even if in Morph he say he got no frens). Of all the escapee thing. Yeah, that makes him special and kinda famous, but he just wants to destroy their city. One day, Nicolas Bourbaki came to snatch Clancy in the city of The Towers of Silence again. But who knows how this snatching back will finish?

You try to run. You must not return to the city. You stumble. You fall. The bishop follows you, and an icy hand clamps down on the back of your neck, pinning you into the water. He turns you over and pulls you to your feet with hidden strength.
You continue to struggle, and the bishop's grip tightens on your jaw, cradling your face with both hands. Your body slumps slightly, unconsciously calmed by the presence of your bishop, and you lift your eyes to his.
He tilts his head, his painted bottom lip pulling into a slight pout. "Child," he says softly, "don't you want to come home?"

Before Tyler has the chance to wonder whether Dema hired a new torturer, the grand doors fly open. Judging by the person’s silhouette, it’s not one of the other Bishops. There’s no flowing cloak, just broad shoulders and soft steps. Tyler can barely make out their form through the icy mist in the air, but once it clicks, he shivers, and it has nothing to do with the cold. That frame is unmistakable.
