"Tell them that you killed me…" he said. I expected his voice to wobble as mine would've, but that was foolish of me. Claude never wavered in his decisions. "...that you killed me and joined the rebel forces."
He pushed the dagger closer, blood already flowing, his body already slumping against the hall's wall. "Please forget me and be happy…"
"Ok…"
"...Cien..?"
In what will be the most haunting moment of my life, he gave a tragic, mournful laugh. The tyrant Emporer, who killed thousands for the sake of mine, looked at me with unshed tears as he bled out at my feet.
With one last breath, Claude's smile fell, and the light dimmed from his vibrant gaze. The world went deathly silent as I stared. As I sat there with the corpse of the man I loved.

Or: Cierra falls into a doomed love with a fellow illegitimate heir. Ruining her pre-determined life in the worst way when he goes insane and murders everyone they knew. When given one more chance, she swears to change and leave behind her awful fate. So she runs.
