“I think-” Ollivander says, pausing to reach behind him to select a deep, rich purple box covered in dust from the floor- “we try something a little unusual.”
Julie’s hand shakes as she picks up the wand. She shuts her eyes before twirling it timidly. Rose gasps as Ollivander claps his hands delightedly. She prises her eyes open and her lips part in surprise.
Julie knew this wand felt different. Swishing it had given rise to a warm golden glow inside of her but opening her eyes to see a flock of delicate, pastel coloured butterflies fluttering around her is almost too much to believe.
