Summary
Tommy waits with bent knees and outstretched arms for the other team's serve. A heavy silence washes over the gymnasium until he hears the oh-so-familiar sound of a hand hitting a ball. It flies over to Tommy’s side of the net with ease, but he has no time to feel impressed.
The ball is flying right towards him. He can see it, but he hesitates for just half a second too long. Tommy sets the ball for the other spiker, but he can already see the ball doesn’t go high enough. It lands in the net before it can even get blocked.
He hears the familiar sound of a whistle. The game’s over. Tommy wasn't good enough.

Tommy and Wilbur are young Pirates Sailing on a ship to find a Sea-monster. With Phil as their captain they set sail into stormy waters. Suddenly, their ship sinks due to water flooding, leaving Tommy and Wilbur separated.
Wilbur wakes up on an abandoned island and is forced to fend for himself and survive while trying to find a way off it.
Tommy was about to drown when a siren saved him. In order to save him though, Tommy was given a curse that bounded him to the sunken shipwreck.
