Today was supposed to be a celebration.
Dazai and his crew had successfully raided a merchant ship earlier that day and acquired gold, spices, silk, and rum (like a lot of rum). So why not throw a celebration and put the rum to use?
But god, Dazai was pissed right now. He hadn’t even touched his first bottle yet, when he’d usually be gulping down the alcohol any other day. And why was that?
It was because Chuuya was drunk. And he was getting way too close to the other crewmates.

Summary
If he had to describe what he was looking for, it would be a lighthouse for himself. Hence, he decided this would be the location for his final goodbye to a world that did not need him and that he felt he was not made for. He was a failed barged at sea that could not steer clear at the young age of thirteen. There was no light to follow, no captain behind his ship.
He knew it would be painful to drown, to hit the stone as the waves break, thrashing his body around, and to be eaten by ocean life. He thought of a million scenarios in his head of the pain he would feel by following through with this decision and why he shouldn’t do it, but not one of those thoughts screamed at him loud enough to stop his body from inching toward the ledge.
In his final moments, he recalls how the flashing storm filtered through the water in photographic snaps with a figure reaching out for him from above. He watched as the shadowy figure swam quickly against the current. It was as powerful a sight as the outside tempest: faint images of fiery red and wide, panicked blue eyes holding him close.
A small smile parts his lips to reassure the other with a thank you, and the world around him suddenly falls quiet…

There were tales about him, how he was the one to finally kill Fyodor Dostoyevsky, who was the cruelest of all pirates, and was responsible for much suffering. People talked about how Dazai became one of the most famous pirates within a year, how he searched the sea and claimed every treasure buried deep in caves, and how he was the one to finally find The Book. All of those stories were true, yet no one knew why Dazai did all these things with such a flame in his eyes, what he used The Book for, why he was covered in bandages, or what he was searching for all this time with such desperation. Some said it was obviously for power, some said for love, that there was an unknown woman who claimed his heart, and some said it was all from greed. Only Dazai knew the answer to that. Others were left to wonder, forever fearing the Captain of the Demon Prodigy.
Dazai and Chuuya meet again after four years and things don't go as Dazai planned.

Hi this is my first multi fandom so yeah. I read this good Dazai x reader and I was also watching ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ so this is what it turned out to be.
The fanfic is ‘Where the Sea Changes Colour by Jewels1421’ and I was so inspired by it. If you don’t like this story then please go and read that fanfic. But I hope you like this anyway.Series
