Summary
The Dance of the Dragons began with the murder of Lucerys Velaryon. And that was what it had been called - murder. Even though a body had never been found. To the surprise - and horror - of everyone, Lucerys Velaryon hadn't actually died. His dragon, Arrax, was ripped apart, and they both fell from the sky, that much was true. But Lucerys survived his fall and later joined the war despite no longer having a dragon. Now, he is a hero, known throughout all the realm for his resilience and bravery in the face of his monstrous uncle.
And Aemond just doesn't think that any of it is fair. An eye is a dragon, and a dragon is an eye. Lucerys took his eye, but Aemond took his dragon. They should be even, but Aemond doesn't think they are. Aemond is still a kin-slayer. His dragon is dead. And he's an omega being offered as the prize of a tournament.
Lucerys gets to spend the rest of his life as a hero but Aemond must spend the rest of his as a whore.

“She said he’s being difficult.” Rhaena said, twisting her fingers and refusing to look at Luke.
“How difficult could one Omega be?” Luke asked incredulously.“It’s Aemond.” Rhaena chuckled humorlessly. “Like as not, he spilled blood again.”
Rhaenyra won. The Greens are scattered to the corners of the Seven Kingdoms. But Aemond remains a conundrum. Luke, who has loved him his whole life, would take him in a heartbeat. But after 4 dead guards and Luke's constant defiance of his mother, Rhaenyra is reluctant to give him what he wants. So maybe it's time for him to take it like the dragon and future King he is.

Lucerys was finally going to see his older brother after 6 long years of separation. Saying that he was excited would be an understatement. Unfortunately, Luke seemed to have underestimated the effects Jacaerys had on him. The fact that he'd outgrown Jace by a lot certainly did not help. It's too bad that his brother still saw him only as his sweet little Lucerys.
Or in other words,
Lucerys was fighting demons. Jacaerys was too good of a brother. Joffrey was a victim.
