Summary
Hanma Shuji finds himself in deeper than he planned when Bonten’s newest cash-cow refuses to play by the rules of the games he’s ruined so many women with. After she refuses to bend the knee to those with the egos to believe they’re above her, what was initially a dismissal of his own jealousy takes him down a path he’d never considered when he is relegated to being a bench-warmer for Haitani Rindou.
Rejecting her spurn for his actions which have always been brushed off due to his good looks and cocky attitude that never failed to charm, Hanma is left with no choice but to accept his losses, or get exceedingly extreme in order to win the woman back as she quickly makes a name for herself in the criminal underworld and no longer needs him at all.
Hanma Shuji was known for many things: losing had never been one.

Rindou Haitani’d thought he was straight until he started to become aware that the magnetism he felt towards Sanzu Haruchiyo wasn’t just curiosity, fear and some kind of twisted admiration, no. No admiration implied him moaning Sanzu’s name after thinking of him for too long. The way his long and pale fingers closed around a gun before he pulled the trigger, the way his body moved like a dance while he cut people in half with his katana.
Love wasn't for the weak, but could it belong to those who weren't worth of it?
