He knows that Ilia has to fight to feel, let alone process, his own emotions, knows that they don't come naturally nor easily, knows that this builds a frustration within him. Feeling nothing, after a time, brings him to long for a release of anything. Emmrich is immeasurably honoured that Ilia entrusts him to be the provider of this.
