Summary
All Yunho wanted was to avoid execution, escape the Hala Navy, and live peacefully without his late mother’s piracy hanging over his head.
Mingi, explosives master of the Wanderlust, simultaneously ruins his plans and offers him purpose using outlawed magic. Offers him family. Offers him love like he's never known.
Only, Mingi kidnapped him. Mingi is a killer. Mingi and his crew represent everything he's spent his life refusing. A game of deadly cat and mouse.
Led by the infamous Pirate King, a bizarre crew of misfits outrun the Navy, High Mage, and the ocean itself, while Yunho battles his mother’s conflict, unexpected understanding, and the question of what he truly wants. (Because maybe it involves pirates he's supposed to hate, and maybe it involves Mingi.)

Seonghwa scoffed. “ Men are strong, not beautiful.”

“Delicate things crack under pressure.” Seonghwa’s voice was as soft as a feather, barely audible over the crackling of the fire. “I can’t afford to break.”

Summary
Park Seonghwa has been an assassin since he was 16. After being separated from his best friend in the Academy he grew up in, he joined the Guild: an organization that provides work for mercenaries and takes on agents to fulfill certain missions that protect the organization's interests. When Seonghwa's team is assigned a mission at the highest level, the last thing he expects is to have a bunch of mercenaries brought in to supplement their forces.
Scratch that, actually. The actual last thing he expected was for one of those outside forces to be Kim Hongjoong, who he hadn't seen since they were accepted into separate factions when they graduated from the Academy.
The knife Hongjoong had at his throat was actually the most expected part about this whole thing.

Summary
As the rainy season swept over Seoul, it also brought forth the harsh realities of life for the young singer. Jongho, a modest college student working at a bar nestled in the depths of a darkened alley, found himself burdened by the relentless challenges life threw at him.
The same sound of his alarm clock piercing through the silence, signaling the start of another grueling day. The smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air, a feeble attempt to awaken his senses from the fog of exhaustion. The weight of his responsibilities hanging heavily on his shoulders, like a relentless tidal wave crashing down upon him, its deafening roar drowning out all other sounds.
He feels as if he’s drowning—panic clawing at him; his lungs burn, and he gasps for air as the darkness consumes him.
Yet, amidst the darkness, a glimmer of light flickers at the surface, offering a fleeting glimpse of hope. He knows he can’t resurface without help, but it’s okay to ask for help to get to that light.
However, within that light, there is also darkness. There always is.

Summary
“Sometimes I wonder how I got this lucky.” He whispers and Mingi lifts his head to kiss him again. It’s less rough, a lot more soft than the one beforehand and it has Yunho sighing as they pull apart once more.
“Me too, but it seems we were just destined to be.” Yunho snorts at the cheesy line but Mingi doesn’t miss the way his eyes light up at that.
Yunho and Mingi have been dating for a while now, but when Mingi's true profession breaches the surface, it seems they have a lot more to figure out about one another.

Summary
The days and nights were monotonous in the city of a thousand lights, especially when those lights gave no warmth to those who stepped under them. They served only to show, unveil, betray and spy; that was what the neon lights in the main streets did, the one and only function of the jagged streetlights in the back alleys that always threatened to go out. They bared all who roamed the city and smiled at them with crooked fangs, waiting for them to fall in the hands of those who were born to punish. The cold city lights knew everyone, for better or worse.

Summary
Standing next to Yunho is a guy just as tall as him with dyed bright-orange hair and wearing rounded glasses. Similar to Hongjoong himself, he wears an all-black ensemble, complemented with a leather jacket and heavy combat boots. Tattoos peek out from the sleeves of the jacket as well as the collar of his t-shirt, a floral pattern climbing up his neck. When the guy turns, he catches the subtle moment where his face darkens as he looks at Hongjoong.
The sinking feeling only worsens, but Hongjoong doesn’t know why. Is this a gang member he used to work for? Or does the guy just simply hate the sight of him?

Hongjoong finally meets Yunho's boyfriend. Yunho's boyfriend doesn't like Hongjoong, and he can't figure out why.

Summary
Mingi grumbles to himself as he sets up his equipment, a strong and frigid breeze biting at his ink-covered skin. The building across from him is lit up from the inside, lights shining brightly and showing a large number of people conversing, drinking, and some even dancing. The annual gala hosted by Kang Younghyun’s gang was being held, the largest event of the year for the gang. The information Yeosang had passed on to Mingi had revealed that this particular gathering was a cease-fire for the gangs attending, no fighting or altercations supposed to be happening.
Mingi huffs to himself. Won’t they be surprised.
—
Mingi is assigned to assassinate one of the most prominent gang leaders in South Korea. Things go south.

Summary
The third time they met, Seonghwa was a mess of blonde hair, dark bags under his eyes and loose clothes walking in the university’s corridor and looking for his classes. Damn classes.
“I’m sorry. Do I know you?” the voice behind him was smooth, almost teasing if he dared to say.
“I don’t think you…” the sentence died on his lips, as he turned around to see Hongjoong standing there, freshly dyed blue hair poking out of his beret and a smirk on his lips. “Yeah, I definitely don’t know you,” he teased, lowing the hand that held his schedule. “But you do remember me of a short guy I met a few weeks ago,” Hongjoong’s eyes widened, as he slapped Seonghwa’s chest lightly, laughing at the joke.

Summary
The living room of the penthouse is silent and calm, just it has always used to be.
From the glass door facing the night landscape of Seoul, everything seems as usual: the skyscrapers stand out against the pitch black night sky with their glinting neon lights, the cars and buses crowd the streets, like an extremely orderly swarm of bees channeling itself in the arteries of the city, poisoning it with the mediocrity and the misery of their very existence.
Everything seems the same as usual.
Except it is not.
-Seonghwa's hands are cold and sweaty against the grip of the gun and, once again, he finds himself cursing his human fallacy.
Nothing can go wrong.
Nothing must go wrong.
His heart hammers against his ribcage as he looks at Mingi and Jongho, strutting at the back of the two guards with extreme confidence, head held up high, as they rightfully should, and firing their guns at the exact same moment.
Not a moment of hesitation.
Not a false step.
Not a flinch.Series
