Summary
Arthur wakes up in modern Glastonbury and to his unfathomable relief finds Merlin. But nothing is simple. Everything he knew is gone, for one. He wonders what of his achievements were actually his own, and not just Merlin's magic, for another. Arthur also has to face the fact that he kept the ban on magic going. Was he ever truly a good king?
There is also the “I love you” he mouthed to Merlin before dying. Something he cannot afford to focus on, because, as Merlin tells him, Albion’s time of greatest need is upon them.
Then comes the unthinkable. Merlin’s magic, which has been growing over the last thousand years, is suddenly too strong for the sorcerer's human body to handle. Faced with the prospect of losing Merlin, feelings suddenly come out and Arthur realizes that if he can save the man he loves and the land of Albion, he might be able to forgive himself for his mistakes and everything he is not.
The question is, can he?
Expect fluff, angst, humor, banter, hurt/comfort, whump, and lots of Merthur!

Arthur thinks he's done for. He has finally managed to push everyone he cares about from his life.
But Merlin... is not any ordinary servant. And Arthur is not any ordinary prince. Now, to only find proof.-

Summary
Arthur was a battle-hardened warrior, trained to think in a snap and move quickly on his feet.
But at that moment, he froze.
He heard a cry of pain.
Merlin's cry of pain.
After a mission gone wrong, Arthur and Merlin, both terribly injured and barely upright, have to make their way through the forest and reach safety in Camelot. But even then, Merlin's still not safe, for the bonds of class and hierarchy put his life at risk, especially as Uther as king.

The implications of the last statement sent shudders into his body and the crowd rose in volume and even more in price.
Arthur shut his eyes. This was him now. A slave. His past life forgotten save for the appeal of selling him off to a new master. He had tried to escape so many times and had the scars to count them, but he could escape no more now. He had accepted it months ago.
Suddenly, a voice rose.
“Twelve hundred gold pieces.”
And the crowd fell into a hush.

So when he goes to college, he expects nothing short of what he had. What happens instead is the inevitable freshman 15—some of which is muscle from football, but most of it is not. Then it all comes crashing down. 12 years and broken self-esteem later, Arthur, now 30, meets Merlin, a 29-year-old personal trainer, and things start to look up again. But can Arthur be the same person he was after dealing with so much?
Or: Fat!Arthur tries to become healthier after years of self-esteem battles and failed attempts at relationships, and Merlin is a personal trainer who just might help. But he’s not so perfect himself.
