Summary
A mysterious entity from another plane of reality has triggered the apocalypse by using a virus that causes those infected to experience a dream in which the entity offers a Faustian bargain. Those who accept have their souls ripped from their bodies, and the form that remains becomes a warped, mutated monstrosity. Those wise enough to reject the offer awaken to find their bodies mutated and changed for better or worse. Some are fortunate and gain new powers from the change others are cursed by change some are changed so drastically that they stretch the nature of being human, and for a few of them the change is merely cosmetic.
This is the story of two sisters trying to survive in a world gone mad after everything they know is torn away. The end of the world is upon them and the virus has reached their home state of North Carolina, people they know are becoming mutated husks and civilization is collapsing. -

Using only the power of her incredibly potent stomach, her two remaining brain cells, and the ability to set herself on fire, nothing will stand in her path on her quest for dog girl tummy.
A self-indulgent fanfiction about one of the best games I've ever played. If you haven't played Apocalypse XL, I highly encourage you to play it before reading this, or else you're probably going to miss out on a lot of background context. Also, in case you somehow didn't read the tags, this contains a great deal of belly fetish content.

Summary
The apocalypse happened about half a year ago, but nobody's really keeping track at this point. The population of the world was infected by a hyper-contagious virus that rewrote the bodies of anyone who contracted it. And then stole their souls. Or at least, most of them. For the rest, life is now a matter of dealing with mutants whose souls assimilated with the virus' source, finding food, and surviving. It can get kind of repetitive, if you're the sort of person who chases excitement and experiences.
All it can take is a single unexpected encounter to completely upend an otherwise boring day, turning what should have been a simple outing into a full-fledged adventure complete with new friends, enemies, and, in typical fashion for Amber, copious amounts of food to stuff in her stomach.
