The footage linked was grainy and static, the image fluttering around as it was repositioned. The man working the camera was dressed in complete black, a gaiter concealing the lower half of his face. Dread coiled around Phil’s gut as the man stepped to the side, allowing the camera to try to refocus on the other subject.
Seated in a metal chair sat Techno’s slumped body, a head wound obvious in the way blood clung to the black balaclava staining it darker. If this was a ransom message these fuckers were going about it weirdly.
No, this wasn’t a ransom. This was an interrogation.
Or; Techno is taken hostage, and the entire torture session is videoed and sent to his teammates (read: family)

Phil soared through the sky as he searched for his sons. He hadn't seen them all day and had started to worry.
He dived down and landed next to his youngest, Tommy. Wilbur was nowhere to be seen and, judging by his youngest’s crying, he had a bad feeling.
Without disturbing him, Phil held Tommy in his arms and silently comforted him.
“Why’d he leave, dad?” Tommy said after a few minutes of silence.
