Safety Rat scurries through a hallway and into a lobby. He hurries to climb the small table in the middle. He gets to the top before immediately laying down to calm his breathing down. He closes his eyes for a moment. He could hear the others easily getting up the stairs. That's good. He can at least distract the cat for them. He pushes himself to sit up onto his knees. He looks over the edge of the table to see the cat looking up at him. He slowly tries to back away, but the orange tabby cat jumps up onto the table.
He squeaks before trying to back away. The orange tabby cat sits in front of the rat before chuckling. "No need to be scared, little friend!"

Jimmy runs away from a cat only to end up befriending the weirdo.

“Scott!!!! Come on! You have to wake up for today's session” The person speaking was also pounding on a door. It was a deeper voice. One he….didn't recognize.
“Scott. If you don't come out in the next 5 seconds i'm coming it. Leaders rights” a more feminine one also spoke.
Scott more quickly became aware of his surroundings. He was in a small cottage made of an unfamiliar wood with other unfamiliar voices.
Not wanting the woman's threat to be true he quickly scrambled out of bed. Only to fall to the floor as he was left without a tail to balance
