Summary
Mount Ebott: Everyone always told me it was a cursed mountain. Rightly so too. It’s always spewing out smoke and ash. Thankfully the wind blows the gray clouds away from the city most days. Even so, it’s mandatory that everyone keeps a gasmask on their person at all times. The wind can change at any second.
Researchers say that they can’t figure out where exactly the mountain’s emissions are coming from. Everyone has their own thoughts. Some say that it’s just a volcano that’s really deep in the surface of the earth, others think it’s a portal to hell. I think that these rumors were what initially tempted me to climb the mountain.
I still remember the day that I gathered the determination to leave home and go adventuring. My parents were both late coming home from work. I gathered the items needed for my expedition: my gasmask, a bottle of water, a camera, my phone, a small first-aid kit, a couple of filters for the mask, all of which I put in a small backpack. I left a note on my room’s door that read, “Out for a hike. Be home later. Love you - Frisk.”

Summary
We join Professor Hilbert as he lectures freshman inductees on higher-dimensional space and the freedoms and constraints that attend these, the practical considerations, psychological effects (can one ever truly go home?), and the subtler geometric and topological quirks of ordinal (not cardinal) physical dimensions (e.g.: how while an n-1 boundary manifold could be viewed as having two distinguishable faces w.r.t. the n-body, the same isn't arbitrarily true when considered from the perspective of n+1 dimensional rotations). A fair bit of hyperdimensional terminology is introduced, and Flatland and Planiverse references are made in the analogies.
Some of it is certainly true of n-dimensional geometry for a given set of axioms, some of it (the physics in particular) is peculiar to the story setting. Except where noted otherwise, the illustrations herein are my own work entirely (please let me know if they miss their mark in visualizing the relevant material).

Now cast away, ze learns from a local — Avery, a Deathworlder — adapts, overcomes, and survives.

Summary
Tails the Fox and Amy [Wong] (an AI) were long star-crossed, lost to each other for over a decade of his life, though only a blink of the eye in her discontinuous existence. Reunited of late through the magnanimity of a god-like being, they began their life together again, and Tails designed a variant liquid Terminator body for Amy (at her request) soon thereafter (fear not: he's more Doctor Who than Doctor Doom). A few months into their adjustment period, we join them now in quieter moments to see what things are like when they're not busy fighting dragons and saving the world.
“Dimidium” is intended to look at a slice of life, presented as a set of vignettes. They don't tell a continuous story as such, instead filling in the flavor of things in the between moments.
