Alex fidgeted with the rings Allison had gotten him, staring at his probably atrocious new haircut without the wig on. Was he actually going to do this? Actually come out to everyone on his and Allison’s 14th birthday?? Was this stupid- Fuck he was being stupid- He should put the wig back on-
“Cuz! You in there? Party’s about to start, come on! The ice cream is melting!”
Bucky’s voice cut through his whirl wind of thoughts, and he took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.
“Yah, of course- just, uh- bed-head, yknow?”
Bucky didn’t answer. Well, that was never good. Well, he could easily expect Bucky to come back with all of the Acey’s and Addison, saying there was a “hair emergency that just must be dealt with!” Alex smiled a bit at that, since he knew his cousin would say that.
He heard a knock on his door and his smile disappeared. Oh well. He could do this.
