Summary
I can’t sleep. It doesn’t make sense. Last year you disappeared and my hawk never came back and I don’t think my letters were sending at all ... I don’t know how to describe what’s happening here in town. They banned travel for airbenders, shut down the newspapers, and now we only get something called "The Imperial Bulletin".
When Aang runs away from the Air Temple without a trace, Kuzon is left alone in the wake of his closest friend's disappearance, amidst rumors of war, turmoil, and rebellion brewing on the Fire Nation homefront, still finding reasons to write.
Or, how Kuzon never gave up looking for Aang, through colonialism, a Fire Nation draft, a resistance movement, and continents setting them apart. Collections of letters and written records of Kuzon's life, from childhood until the very end.

Raison d’être
(n.) a reason for existing[Aang stared at the familiar shapes and colors of the Air Temples, considering. Every crack and crevice the Fire Nation left was long since remembered.
What he was pondering now, was the fact all scorch marks and destruction was gone, and it was instead full of young children, monks, and nuns.]
Or, Aang travels back in time to the past after one week of restoring balance to the world.

Summary
|"The Air Nomads had no care for their children. They abandoned them to the temples and never came back for them, neglecting them and only finding them important for their airbending. This is why our fire lord Sozin is urging family's to be closer than ever, respecting and loving each other."
That was what Kuzon's teacher said. It was bullshit to put it quite simply.|
Or, Kuzon remembers his experience with Aang and children.

The Fire Nation keeps archives of it's citizens and sometimes adds things like letters and reports to those.
So Zuko gives Aang's old 'friend''s archives to him as a surprise gift. And Aang?
Aang gets to read all that Kuzon wrote after he desapeared and learn about what happened to the hotman. Aang gets to have something physical to remember of him.
Or
Aang reads letters and other things that Kuzon had held dear to him until the day of his death.

Summary
“How’d they do it?” Kuzon notices that the tattoos on his arms fade away as they reach his shoulders. Pale blue peppers his skin, ducking under his armpit, and connecting the arrows on his arms very faintly to the one on his spine. To most, the blue is almost unnoticeable, but up close, Kuzon can see the faint streaks that connect the seemingly disconnected arrows. “Tattoo you, I mean.”
[In the end, Kuzon keeps nothing. There is nothing worth keeping. Nothing will ever compare to Aang. Kuzaang. Oneshot. Canon compliant.]

Summary
Kuzon would never admit it, but he hated the plan as well. He had longed for Aang more than he would ever know. The tears shone in his eyes as his deep voice shook, “I can’t stay with you all the time, Aang. They’ll follow me, they’ll find you and-”
Aang raised his head sharply, one of his piercing eyes catching the small line of light as he said “So what if they do, Kuzon? What can they do to the most powerful guy in the world?”

Summary
Kuzon grinned, shifting on the tree branch to face Aang directly. The wood creaked as their legs continued to dangle off the sides, bare feet occasionally brushing. The evening breeze threaded around the two of them, rustling the tree’s dying leaves and sending Kuzon’s hair that had fallen from his topknot in a million different directions. “It was with Bumi.”
Aang’s jaw dropped. “It was not.”

Summary
During their most recent interactions, Aang couldn’t deny that something had… maybe changed between them. To Aang, they’d grown closer than ever, holding hands and tackling each other into hugs on sight and finishing each other’s sentences. Sometimes a joke, sometimes planned, and sometimes not.
Aang couldn’t go without visiting Kuzon one last time. Not when he hadn’t - he hadn’t -
(A pre-canon Kuzaang fic. Fate is a cruel mistress.)

Summary
Everyone knows the story of how Avatar Aang was trapped in an iceberg for 100 years. What they didn't know until much later, however, was that there was more than one person who survived that that storm. Kuzon of the Fire Nation is many things: a decent firebender, a dutiful daughter, and a loving friend. And, perhaps, the last known member of a Nation once peaceful and brilliant, hollowed out by one hundred years of war. She is out of place, on the run, and maybe even out of time.
Or, the story of how Aang's best friend Kuzon is trapped in the iceberg with him for 100 years, and the two of them find a family.

Ship: The crown prince of the Fire Nation and a wise-cracking swordsman, obviously. Zukka? Nope, it’s Iroh/Piandao!
Young Iroh is kind of a bastard, Piandao is an arrogant dumbass, and together they experience Character Growth.
(Regarding archive warnings: Kuzon dies of old age, and Lu Ten dies as in canon. No unexpected deaths I promise.)
