Notes: I have been working on this meshed-up idea for a while, so we will see where it leads. In this alternate/warped universe, Zatanna started in the Teen Titans before moving to the Justice League. I ignore the idea of a shared childhood between Zee and Bruce and have made him older than her. I've played fast and loose with some of the backstories and story lines, so if you're super precious about that, you might not enjoy it. If you, like me, want to see some ZZ/BW fic, hop on board! It's angsty!...duh, it's Bruce Wayne. ;) -

“Clark,” Bruce starts, and then pauses for twenty—slightly faster than usual, Clark notes—heartbeats. Clark wets his lips, anticipation hot and fluttery in his gut as he waits for Bruce to continue. “Would you like to be a good boy? For me?”
His answer is yes; he feels it immediately like a rush going through his body, from the rapidly-heating tips of his ears to where he rocks back on his heels, stunned backwards by the question. He needs to ask, though, even as embarrassment tinges his words. “As… ah, as your dog?”
(Clark got transformed into a dog. After he gets turned back to normal, he and Bruce have some Normal Feelings about it.)

He knows it’s been three days because the half dead billboard has changed back to the same shitty “Wayne Foundation!” ad six times. Once at sunrise and once at sunset. Followed by a generic PSA ad about gun safety.
And, just his luck, he has the perfect front row seat atop his abandoned rooftop, decorated with a stolen tarp. His only source of entertainment at the moment, watching the blinding smile of one Bruce Wayne – written at the bottom underneath the man's photo – holding, what he assumes is, a new phone model. Staring at Wayne’s face got really old really fast.
