Summary
Candace simply waved off his protests and slapped a piece of paper into Kaveh's hand, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. Kaveh blinked, puzzled by this unexpected gesture. "A ticket?" he inquired, squinting at the paper as if it might reveal its secrets.
"For you," Candace declared, "to attend the Scribe's next concert in a few weeks."
"…Who is that?" Kaveh asked, his expression a perplexed masterpiece.
Candace's face contorted in exaggerated disbelief, her jaw dropping so low it could have excavated ancient ruins. "You're kidding, right?" she deadpanned, her voice dripping with incredulity.
Kaveh couldn't help but feel like he'd just stumbled upon a desert mirage of pop culture ignorance.
