Yeah it really was an emergency because he almost swerved into the river when the Yorozuya suddenly leaned over to him from the passenger seat, so close that he could hear him breathe in for a millisecond.

What if Gintoki lost his memories after an accident(just like those few Gintama episodes) but for some reason Hijikata is the only person he sort of remembers? Of course then it somehow falls on Hijikata to help him with all that even though he'd rather do just about anything else with his life

"«Oh, una favola dici? Mi sembra davvero un’ottima idea» Un ghigno inquietante nacque sul volto dell’Amanto. «Che ne dite se portiamo con noi tutti i vostri amici? Sembrate conoscervi da tempo.»
Quella frase destò il sesto senso del gruppo, improvvisamente ognuno di loro percepiva il pericolo. Forse, quell’Amanto non era debole come appariva.
