Summary
The Gong and Zhang families have been good friends for many years. Therefore, both families decided that their children should marry each other once they grow up.
Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan were introduced to each other as children. They were told that they were soon-to-be engaged, and that they should get along with each other. However, for a reason even he did not know, Gong Jun was unable to stand the side of his future fiance and left him on the spot.
Yet unable to go against their families' wishes, their dysfunctional relationship continued until one day, Gong Jun committed an irreparable mistake that caused Zhang Zhehan to disappear from his life — and only then did he finally realize how he truly felt toward that person.
Ten years later, fate brings them to meet once more.

One rainy night, an Alpha medical student, Gong Jun, came across a wounded man collapsing in a dark alley on his way back home. He recognized this unknown man as an Omega, and he also discovered that there were people in the vicinity desperately searching for this Omega, bearing an obvious ill will. Afraid that those people might find them, Gong Jun decided to bring the man home with him and tended to his wounds.
However, the man disappeared the next morning. Several days later, he showed up without notice at the pet cafe where Gong Jun was working part-time, introducing himself as Zhang Zhehan and expressing his wish to thank the younger man in person.
Little did Gong Jun know, that this seemingly refined and gentle Omega was hiding a dark secret behind his tender smile.
