Summary
The fight with Teja has helped reveal several secrets that explain Vijay's personality. One of them being his attraction to his friend and mentor, Sher Khan. Sher Khan returns the attraction, but insists on giving Vijay some time and space to process what he's been through. (Ch1 summary)
Recognizing he's falling back into old patterns several weeks later, Vijay decides enough's enough (Ch 2 and main story).A reimagining and extension of the movie with the idea that animal shifters exist.

“What are you doing, Vijay?” Sher Khan asked, brows raising but otherwise. . . not startled, not upset. Sounding endeared, intrigued, interested.
“You've helped me so much with police work, you deserve a reward,” he answered easily, tugging the bright pink kurta up by the hem.
“A reward? Isn't doing the right thing reward enough?” The mirth in Sher Khan’s voice and the lack of any rejection urged him on, to continue.
“But you've done more than that for me, gone above and beyond your civic duties,” he rebutted, pulling the drawstring loose and pushing the waist of the other man's trousers down.
