Galadriel turned towards the sea. She saw him there at last, a lonely dark figure at the edge of the Arûkhôzân’s outer balconies. The wind and the rain lashed at his raiment and hair. The mighty black blade rested limp in one hand, and his fair face was angled towards the Undying Lands. Lightning irradiated the entire sky, and he laughed.
Galadriel confronts Tar-Mairon, high priest of Melkor, in the last moments before Númenor is sunk by the Valar.
