Comment on The Goodness of Glinda Upland

  1. OKAY I may have mentioned a couple of times on Tumblr how much I love your prose. Like, I actually believe that this is the voice of a brilliantly talented journalist, which I think is a difficult feat to achieve.

The tragedy of Vinkus, the Witch and Wizard's path of mutual destruction creating collateral damage is such a delicious concept, and Glinda being caught in the middle but still looking good? yes yes yes

I love the dissection of Glinda from a more skeptical eye, because it's all SO valid, but also, she doesn't know anything about Glinda's past yet. A great way to explore more dimensions of Glinda that aren't just "she's a poser" or "she's truly good and moral".

Love the idea of Glinda becoming a wizened older woman. Mommy Glinda; Nor is not immune and neither am I.

You're so good at describing Glinda's character in a way that confirms what we know from the movie/musical--her hair, her cheekbones, her demeanor--but also changing it to such a believable aged version. I feel like I would understand her even if I had never seen Wicked, you know?

In short, I'm very excited to be on this journey for real this time.
