Comment on When Nightmares Come Alive

  1. see. Hank walking into a wall here and Connor propping Hank against that wall in Russian Roulette... parallels... idk it just made me giggle 😂😂

Logan being a bit of a rowdy drunk... yeah. that fits. barking at Sumo had me JFIO;WAHIFOE;JWA p l e a s e, Logan, stop it, stooooooop. fr, though, that's kind of cute, him wrestling with Sumo. I'm sure the big lug appreciated the attention <3 esp since Connor isn't around to shower him with love. ...also, the sacrificed hoodie. I love how its fate is implied, just WHAT did they get up to??

WEH, okay, but Gavin determining to add a picture of Logan to the photo wall??? has me all soft. he cares, so much, in his own way <3

the boys' differing sleeping positions. sighs. I love details like that. there are entire character studies to be written about such simple but telling information. I melted a bit here

also I just... really like this whole conversation between Gavin and Hank. the way it ebbs and flows, the give-and-take of information and dynamics, it feels so good. writers too often apologize for chapters that are "mostly dialogue," but these are the scenes I live for. so much characterization happening <3

MMMMMMMMM. Gavin's stress level. I'm. yeah. here for this. aLSO. "You and I both know we function fine up to 80% with no issues to our processors." THAT isn't foreshadowing. surely. :)

speaking of foreshadowing... Gavin promising to lean on Hank if he needs it? hm. h m m. yeah that. seems like SURELY it won't come to pass either :) hhhhhh you've set so many plates spinning here, I DESPERATELY want to know what's going to happen next

    1. I like my parallels and my foreshadowing, what can I say. <3

I’m glad the dialogue has kept its natural flow! Admittedly this has felt like my weakest point, especially when I have more than two characters in a scene at once. It’s one of the things I’ve been trying to pay extra attention to and work on.

      1. oh I FEEL that. trying to juggle more than two characters in a conversation is hard, but I haven't noticed any problems with it so far, so I'd say you're killing it!
