Comment on Queen of the Seven Kingdoms

  1. I can not express to you how excited I am at the prospect of this story!! I have loved everything you have written the these two-although The Admiral's Eyes is still my all time favorite.
I'm excited to see you work with more of a cannon typical Sansa. Young, inexperienced, not having learned that beauty can be used to mask and disguise ugliness. I am anxious to read what her catalyst will be for growing up and maturing and seeing people for who they really are.
I loved the simple description you gave of Cersei "Sansa knew Cersei had committed treason, but the queen had always been so kind to her… and she had been so beautiful and splendid." That felt 100% like something to book Sansa would think.
You have a true gift for writing, and an amazing talent for bringing characters together in an authentic way. Thanks for sharing with us!

Oh, I love the Admiral's Eyes. That story just sort of wrote itself. I had so much fun with it. Thanks for letting me know it's your fave!

And yes, the challenge in this story - much like in LoSE - was working with a more naive Sansa. She's not quite as naive as LoSE Sansa because she does go through the trauma of losing Lady, having the Hound tell her about his terrible childhood, and obviously she lives through a year of war though I gloss over it in this chapter. But yeah, she's going to be in for some interesting times in the Red Keep.

I'm really glad you liked Sansa's thoughts re: Cersei. It's kind of a shame that Sansa never sees Cersei's true colours in this story.

I'm so flattered you think I have a gift for writing! Thank you so much for making my day with such a sweet compliment! ♥
