Mera’s trust and affection, both exceptionally rare commodities, lie with you more than anyone else on Earth. And Batman,” Barry didn’t miss the way Superman spit the name out like poison, “thinks of you like a son. If I kill you, I martyr you.”

    It's been a year now since they killed Superman. A year since he took two of Barry's only closest friends with him. A year since Barry last saw the closest thing he still has to family.

    It's been a bad year.

    By the time Bruce bothers to check in, it's almost too late.
