Chapter 1: Prologue
Chapter Text
Life is sometimes hard.
Every day we encounter difficulties. Sometimes it's rude customers, a terrible boss, or coworkers. Sometimes it's about health, when our bodies undergo changes that are often difficult to accept or fight. Sometimes it will be a low paycheck that will make you feel like someone spat in your face as a thank you for your hard work.
As we go through life, we encounter various hardships. Heartbreaking loss of loved ones, financial problems, relationship problems, problems with children or other things that are difficult to categorize.
Sometimes you have to push your body beyond its limits to achieve something you desire, but it often takes a long time.
The road is never straight.
It's a damn winding road.
Some are too poor to buy basic necessities, including food. You've probably met someone who, through unfortunate fate or poor choices, has ended up on the street, sitting on cold, wet concrete, begging for money, bread, or water.
Others choose between paying bills and medicine or food. Others, on the other hand, work until they drop in several jobs just to ensure themselves at least a minimal level of prosperity. Nobody wants to worry about whether they will have enough money until their next paycheck, whether they will be able to buy new shoes, a jacket, or school books for their child this month.
Besides, people were fucking unfair.
Sometimes, even blood ties didn't matter. Family members turned their backs on one of them, leaving them to fend for themselves. For some, the reason was serious, for others, trivial. People often judge others without knowing the situation or simply don't want to listen, and the easiest thing is to cut them off, leaving them to their fate.
Life is unfair.
Because there are often moments that make you feel like giving up. When everything is falling apart and no one is willing to help. When you break down wondering if you'll survive another day, month, or year.
Felix and Hyunjin experienced firsthand how hard life can be.
They met as teenagers. They both came from families with an average standard of living, where there was always little space at home. However, the cramped confines of their apartments weren't the worst that could have happened to them.
A dysfunctional childhood left them both without a will to live or hope for a better tomorrow.
In Felix's home, his father's alcohol was more important than his clothes or food. It all started when his mother cheated on her husband and abandoned them both overnight. Felix's father drank himself drunk every day after she left, until he was finally fired from work for not showing up at all. As a child, Felix worked at a local store to earn money for food.
Hyunjin's mother sold her body just to buy another hit of heroin. He never met his father, who died shortly before he was born. From childhood, he watched his mother tighten a belt around her arm and administer the drug to herself with a syringe. Hyunjin had to grow up quickly. He shopped, cleaned, made dinner, and visited his grandfather, who, despite his best efforts, was unable to take him away from his mother.
They had a miserable life since childhood. They fought daily for survival, even though they had support through it all. Felix in the form of a friend, and Hyunjin in the form of his grandfather—the father of Hyunjin's deceased father.
The boys met at school, and their first meeting was like love at first sight. Or rather, a last resort in this terrible and brutal world. Both were criticized by their worn-out clothes, emaciated bodies, and the sheer destruction they both felt.
However, this didn't stop their sad lives from igniting a fire in their hearts that motivated them to continue surviving. Innocent teenage glances at the object of their affections as they passed each other in the hallways eventually turned into a great love.
"Your relationship won't last. You're too young and haven't had a good example of love and a successful relationship."
They heard it often. Too often.
But they didn't care as long as they had each other and could spend cold nights in each other's arms.
They also found another way to warm their bodies and release their love than just blankets and hot tea. They compulsively pressed their bodies together, as if they were both trying to keep each other warm during the bitter winter. It wasn't just about love; it was also a process that demonstrated their mutual care for each other.
Words whispered like promises, declarations of their deep feelings and hot, passionate love. They were teenagers who saw no world beyond themselves. It didn't matter that their home was still full of fights, alcohol, and drugs, as long as they knew they could find a place in each other's arms.
But there was a problem—two lines on a pregnancy test.
Felix was distraught, devastated, and lost. He didn't know what to do, even though terminating the pregnancy was the most sensible option in his situation. He was only sixteen, and a new life was growing in his belly.
Hyunjin also didn't know what to do. He tried to support his little boy, but they were both still young. Hyunjin had just reached adulthood at the time. He was terrified, especially since he had just graduated from high school and didn't know what to do next. He was sure he would have to work full-time, although he had taken on various jobs before, but unfortunately, his mother often found his money in bouts of drug cravings and rage, then spent it all on heroin and alcohol.
Felix's father was furious as soon as he found out, uncontrollably lashing out at the pregnant teenager, who was in immense pain at the realization of his fate. His father wanted to get rid of the problem and the subsequent expenses. Felix's pregnancy prevented him from working after school, which further infuriated his father. And when the teenager refused an abortion, his father threw him out the door within ten seconds, leaving him without even a change of clothes. Felix would have ended up on the streets at sixteen, four weeks pregnant, if not for Hyunjin's grandfather.
The ailing elderly man took the two into his home, also offering Hyunjin a job with a friend who owned a construction company. His grandfather's friend was only waiting for young Hwang to become of age to hire him.
Hyunjin practically kissed the man's and his grandfather's hands when he learned he had been hired and could earn enough money to finally improve their standard of living.
They couldn't have asked for more in such a situation. They were expecting a child, whom they selfishly wanted to bring into a world that had previously been set up like hell for them.
It was hard.
Hyunjin spent his days at the construction site just to earn money and support himself, Felix, and their child. He worked like a dog, learning everything from much older coworkers. The men showed him everything related to electrical work and finishing work.
The young man was strong and motivated to push himself beyond his limits just to get home, where Felix and his sickly grandfather were waiting for him with dinner and warm tea.
He loved the evenings when, washed up, he sat on the couch next to his boyfriend. His grandfather always sat in the armchair next to him, watching the three of them's favorite daily show. Hyunjin always fondly and lovingly caressed his boyfriend's belly, feeling their baby kick.
The calm smile Felix gave him then was worth everything. It was worth every cry of effort, every drop of sweat, every scratch that bled, every hammer that hit a finger instead of a nail. One smile from Felix during an evening sit on the couch made Hyunjin forget all the effort he put into earning money to support them. Felix did not work because he was pregnant and caring for his sickly grandfather. He baked fresh bread every day, went shopping, cleaned, and helped his grandfather with daily chores.
Felix never complained, even though he was carrying a new life. His child.
That's why Hyunjin never complained either, especially when, after shopping for the baby that was due in a few months, and calculating their remaining bills, he finally had some extra money left over.
He could do whatever he wanted with it. He could have bought himself warmer shoes, because the winter was harsh and his shoes were worn out. He could have bought himself a new jacket or paints, which were expensive, and he truly loved painting.
But no.
Hyunjin bought his beloved boyfriend flowers. Pride filled his chest as he left the flower shop with a large bouquet of red roses. He felt like dancing and singing with joy as he returned home.
He had given Felix flowers before, but only in the summer, when he could pick them from the glades. Now, however, he bought him real roses, which spoke volumes about his love, though their beauty never equaled Felix's.
Nothing could compare to Felix's beauty and kindness.
Nothing.
And Felix cried with happiness and love, because he knew he had found a real treasure.
Maybe they hadn't had much good in their lives, maybe they lived frugally, denying themselves everything just to buy another pack of diapers for the fruit of their love, who would soon be welcomed. Maybe they dressed in secondhand clothes. They were left without a family, and Felix hadn't finished school.
But the love they felt for each other was more precious than anything.
And fate soon smiled on them.
Two years later, Hyunjin became a construction crew manager. He earned more, so he proposed to his beloved, and just a week later, they had a small wedding, accompanied by Hyunjin's grandfather, Felix's friend Jisung, his boyfriend Minho, who was Hyunjin's best man, and their little eighteen-month-old son, Freddie.
They were both huge Queen fans. Many times they just sat together and listened to the band's songs and danced as joy spread through their bodies. There was nothing deeper in the choice of name than the fact that they really liked it.
A year later, Hyunjin took over the company. The man he worked for had died in a car accident. He had no wife or children, and therefore no heirs or successors. He left everything he owned to Hyunjin, and the brunet, seeing the amount in his account, fortunately didn't lose his mind.
As a young, thoughtful man, he focused on expanding the company in honor of the deceased and as an act of gratitude. Felix by his side, with their son in his arms, suggested home decorating ideas, and that's how it all began.
Thanks to their dedication, Hyunjin, at the age of twenty-two, became the owner of the most sought-after construction company in Seoul.
Besides renovating his house, he also bought old buildings to renovate them, redesign them to reclaim their souls, and sell them for up to five times their original purchase price.
At twenty-four, he built a house—a sanctuary for his family. A place where his beloved could pursue his hobby of baking sweets for customers for various occasions. It was also a place where they both returned with a smile and peace of mind. A place where there was no room for arguments or drugs. It was also the place where their son grew up. There could be nothing better for them.
By the age of twenty-five, Hyunjin had accumulated such a vast sum of money that, if he wanted, he could stop working and live out his old age peacefully with his beloved husband and son.
He never even dreamed of it. When he thought about his teenage years, when he prayed for someone to finally end his suffering, he felt compassion and tears pricking his eyes.
He was no longer that teenager who was frail, without a trace of strength. Now he was a tall, muscular man, the head of his family. He had a beautiful husband by his side, who was rather small in build and delicate in stature, but the strength that gathered within him made it impossible for Hyunjin to ignore him.
All the hard work he had put in over the years was paying off, and when he went to bed at night after putting his son to bed, he would snuggle into his husband's back, wrapping his arms around his waist and resting his hand on his eight-month-old belly, which held their second son.
It was something beautiful, unique, and so precious that nothing could compare. His family gave him strength, motivated him every day to be even better, to provide them with the best. To make Felix forget how hard his life was for sixteen long years.
And at the age of twenty-six, Hyunjin almost lost his beloved family.
Chapter 2: Day one
Chapter Text
The weather was rainy.
The gray sky was weeping, soaking the roads, trees, and leaves. The atmosphere was typical autumn. Felix sat in the backseat of the car with their one-year-old son. Freddie sat in a special car seat next to his father, who was driving.
It was very spontaneous.
Felix found a house for an incredibly low price, but with a huge soul. Hyunjin had already visited the building to check if the price was due to any damage, moisture, or pests, but fortunately, it wasn't. Seeing the house's beautiful yet dark architecture, he almost immediately decided he wanted to give it a new lease on life.
But there was a problem.
He still remembered sitting next to his husband on the couch, who was in his pajamas, watching a movie with a cup of tea in his hand. That day, Hyunjin returned home much later than planned, so all he could do was kiss his sleeping children on the forehead and cuddle his beloved, hoping it would help calm his anger.
The worst part was that he had some rather unpleasant news to tell him, and he knew Felix wouldn't be thrilled.
"I already have buyers for this house. They've seen my plans and want it after the new year, but every construction crew I have is booked until spring. There's not that much work; the house mainly needs renovating, and I could handle it myself, but—"
"Are you crazy? You want to go away for almost three months and leave us here? Hyunjin, it's almost half a thousand kilometers from Seoul! How can you imagine that?!" Felix immediately put down his tea, which had become completely uninteresting.
"Lix, this is a great opportunity. I would come back every three weeks and—"
"No, Hyunjin." He interrupted, glaring at him, then laughed without a trace of amusement. "Do you even hear yourself? You want to leave me and the kids and come visit us every three weeks for the weekend? Are you crazy? I know it happened once, but you were only a hundred kilometers from Seoul and you were home every week." He sighed, sinking onto the couch as he remembered how difficult those days were for him. He didn't remember them fondly. He was pregnant at the time and coping well with his son, but the absence of his husband made him sad. They had been together through the worst time of their lives, and Felix was struggling without even the physical support of his husband. Hyunjin didn't need to say anything, because Felix was satisfied with just his presence and his gentle gaze.
"Baby, you know I don't want to do this. I'd love to be close to you, but… I don't know how I'm going to reconcile that. This is a really good opportunity, especially since the location is difficult to find buyers, and these people are determined." He sighed, causing Felix to lean his head back on the couch to calm down and think things over.
Thoughts were swirling in the blond's head. He tried to find a way to deal with it all, but there was no way. The opportunity was truly good, and it was a shame to miss it.
"Maybe you'll come with me?" Hyunjin asked, hugging his husband. Felix snuggled into his body and thought things over quickly.
That wasn't such a bad option.
Hyunjin got out of the car once it was parked in front of the house. Golden, damp leaves were scattered across the ground, blown from the surrounding trees by the strong wind. There were many trees, and when the wind blew, the large trees rustled, giving the impression that they were trying to convey something.
Freddie almost immediately ran out of the car, eager to explore. Ever since he could walk, he had been a curious boy who liked to look everywhere when he was in a new place. Hyunjin smiled as he stepped out of the car, watching as his son fell into a pile of leaves with a loud laugh.
Felix shook his head with a smile, taking their younger son into his arms. Hyunjin walked around the car and stood behind his husband to wrap his arms around him and look at the sleeping son in his arms.
"So, how do you like it, baby?" Hyunjin asked, resting his chin on the blond's shoulder. Felix grunted softly and rested his head against his husband's.
"It's nice. It has very unusual finishes and it gives it character..." He replied, looking uncertainly at the house.
"But...?" Hyunjin asked, knowing his husband all too well. Felix sighed slightly and bit his lip.
"It looks terrifying. Like something out of a horror movie." He grimaced. Felix hated horror movies, terrified of attics and basements, so much so that when his husband built the house, he omitted both the basement and the attic for Felix's comfort. Hyunjin sighed beside him and rubbed his hips.
"Only the outside. It just needs a refresh," he replied confidently and excitedly. "You'll see, you'll like the inside of the house," he assured him, kissing his neck. They were both quiet so as not to wake their sleeping son.
"I don't doubt your skills, honey, but I have a strange feeling." Felix sighed and looked away from the house to look at his other son, who was running around, throwing leaves into the air until he found a ball.
"Daddy!! Come play!" Freddie shouted, kicking the ball awkwardly. He often played soccer with his father.
"Later, son! Now we have to unpack!" he shouted, moving away from Felix for a moment, keeping an eye on the sleeping Timotheè in the blond's arms.
"Hyunjin, pull out the stroller. I'll put Timo in it." Felix rocked his son, who, due to his cries, began to squirm in his arms. Their son's nap definitely needed to last at least another hour, because if not, he'd be cranky for the rest of the day.
Shortly afterward, Felix wheeled the stroller with his son and several bags inside the house. Making sure everything was in order, he placed the stroller next to the piano, which was standing right next to the stairs. He was surprised to find the instrument still inside and that the previous owners hadn't wanted to take it, but seeing as his beloved could play the piano, he was glad. He had sat next to his husband many times, listening to him play.
"Baby, can you tidy up down here? I'll go down to the basement and light the furnace and turn on the water valve. I'll start with the upstairs renovations, since there's the least to do there, and I'll finish it all quickly." Hyunjin entered the house carrying toolboxes. Felix smiled and couldn't help but scan his husband's body. Hyunjin was strong, and the mere knowledge of that sent a shiver through Felix.
So, right after quickly tidying up the downstairs, Felix prepared their bedroom and another room for the boys. He also had to go out and bring his son inside because he kept running around with a ball and playing with leaves, making piles of them and smashing them with the ball.
"Mommy? I feel sleepy. Can I take a nap?" The boy asked with red cheeks and his big eyes that were practically shining. Felix crouched down in front of him and pulled off his jacket and his splashed, wet shoes.
"Of course, honey. Daddy and I will order dinner, and then I'll wake you up to eat," he smiled and gently lifted his son's leg. "But first, let's take off your wet socks so you don't get sick. Put on your slippers, sweetie." Felix handed him plush slippers with a cartoon character and immediately led him to the couch, not far from the stroller with his other son.
"Mom? It's nice here, but when can we get home? I miss my bed." Freddie pouted, snuggling into the pillow Felix had prepared for him earlier. The blond smiled and covered his son with a blanket.
Felix also wanted to go home.
"You just have to hold on a little longer. Daddy will try to finish everything as soon as possible, and with our help, we'll definitely get through this even faster." He smiled, comforting his son, and kissed his forehead. He saw that Freddie was very tired from the journey and running, so it was no wonder that after a while the boy fell asleep, cuddled up to his favorite teddy bear.
Felix got up and quietly locked the door to the house, knowing that Hyunjin had already unpacked everything from the car and immediately moved on to the first room. The buyers for this house were delighted with the layout of the rooms, and everything suited them except the decor and the old style. They wanted something new and fresh, and Hyunjin was the perfect fit.
The blond changed into leggings and a sweatshirt, though he felt that Hyunjin must have turned on the heating in the meantime, as the house was much warmer than it had been three hours ago when they had just arrived.
His beloved thought of everything.
He checked on both sons again, adjusting their blankets, then headed upstairs to find his husband.
"Oh, there you are." Felix stepped inside, looking around. Hyunjin really had a fast pace, because the floor was covered with painter's foil, and on it lay the wallpaper that had already been completely torn off, and the man was holding a roller in his hand. Felix licked his lips at the sight of his husband's tense muscles and moved closer to him, leaving the door to the room open.
"Did you come to help?" He asked, looking at Felix, who began to collect the wallpaper from the floor.
"If you'll let me." Felix smiled and stood to his feet.
It was true. From the very beginning, Hyunjin rarely let him touch anything related to the renovation. It wasn't that he was afraid Felix would break something. Hyunjin had always cared for him like a treasure, the most precious thing he had in his life, and it was true in that respect. His dream since his teenage years had been to provide his beloved with luxury and break the chains of hard work.
As a teenager, Felix would take on any job just to eat, as his father drank away any money he found. Hyunjin often saw his bruises, scratches, and the wear and tear evident on his already emaciated face.
He vowed then that he would strive to ensure his beloved was always fed, never thirsty, and above all, never overworked. He didn't want that, not when Felix was a delicate creature carrying their two children.
Hyunjin didn't look at him as someone weak. Felix, in his opinion, was much stronger than him, bringing the fruits of their love into the world. That's why he never wanted to give him extra responsibilities. He wanted to take care of him and provide him with everything he needed, because Felix had already given him everything Hyunjin needed.
"Thank you for agreeing," Hyunjin whispered, appearing right behind him and wrapping his arms around his waist, resting his chin on the shorter man's shoulder. "Having you here gives me so much motivation to finish this as quickly as possible and return to our home."
"You have nothing to thank me for. You know neither I nor our sons could have lasted this long without you," he replied with a tender smile. He slid his hand into his husband's hair and turned his head towards him, feeling Hyunjin's hands slip under his hoodie and tighten around his body. The blond raised an eyebrow, looking at his husband.
"I need to feel the warmth of your body. It's grounding," he replied, not needing to ask. He knew exactly what Felix was thinking.
"You love me so much, don't you, Hyunjin?" he asked, looking into his husband's eyes, who was still hovering just above his shoulder. He felt the man's fingers tighten against his body—possessive and loving, as if to reassure himself that Felix was still here and this wasn't a dream.
"Maybe I'll show you tonight how much I love you?" he asked, brushing his lips just behind the blond's ear. Felix only chuckled and pulled his husband in for a short, yet tender kiss.
"We both know you'll fall asleep as soon as you get into bed," he teased, gently catching the brunet's lower lip between his teeth. "You won't have the strength to make love to me. You know I'm demanding," he added, feeling Hyunjin place his fingers on his stomach, slipping under his sweatshirt.
"Do you doubt my strength, Hwang?" he asked, turning Felix around to face him. Felix chuckled and stood on his tiptoes, wrapping his arms around the man's neck.
"I know you'll be exhausted after today, so don't get my hopes up, Hwang." Felix whispered, then kissed his husband, squeezing his bicep as soon as he felt Hyunjin crush his plush buttock in his hand. "Get to work, Daddy." He urged him on, running his tongue along the brunet's lower lip.
"I hate you." Hyunjin sighed, watching Felix roll up the sleeves of his gray sweatshirt and dip a paint roller in the paint.
"You love me as much as I love you." He winked and set about the only thing his husband would let him help with.
An hour later, they had finished painting all the walls in the room and replacing the baseboard. In the meantime, Felix also ordered dinner for them, which turned out to be pizza that day. He reluctantly agreed, preferring to prepare healthier meals for their family, but figured that since they'd already done the grocery shopping, they could at least have a nutritious dinner that evening.
They went down the stairs after washing their hands and discussing further plans for other rooms, but then Felix stopped before taking the next step.
He felt a shiver run through his body, and his heart almost stopped beating. He opened his mouth, trying to find a rational explanation for the situation.
"Baby? Why did you stop?" Hyunjin reached for his hand, amazed at how Felix had changed in an instant.
"Hyunjin…" Felix began quietly, feeling a shiver run through his body. "The stroller with Timothée was in a different place." Felix grabbed the railing, rushing down the stairs to see his son, still asleep but three steps away from the piano. Heart pounding, he quickly glanced at Freddie, who thankfully remained asleep in the same position he'd left him in.
"Are you sure, Lix? Freddie's asleep, and the door's closed, so maybe when you were adjusting his blanket, you moved him a bit." Hyunjin approached him, almost hearing his husband's sharp intake of breath. "Hey, calm down. Everything's fine, and—"
"Don't tell me to calm down." He huffed, irritated by his husband's feeble attempts to calm him down. "I left him at the piano, Hyunjin, and there's no way the stroller could have moved on its own." Felix bit his lip, feeling an unpleasant shiver run through his body until he started looking around.
Hyunjin sighed and crouched down, looking directly at the stroller. Within seconds, he began to laugh.
"Baby, you didn't hit the brakes." He snorted, touching Felix's back. "The floor here might be a little tilted, and the stroller might have moved a bit on its own." He added, amused, kissing Felix's temple before going for a drink of water. "Everything's fine, relax, Lix."
But Felix continued to stare at the stroller, despite his son's cries. He stood there numbly, even as Hyunjin pulled Timothée out of the stroller and began soothing him in his arms. He didn't move even when Freddie, awakened by his brother's cries, asked for a drink.
Because Felix was sure he had hit the brakes. It was something he always double-checked to make sure he'd done.
The blond again felt discomfort and a hint of panic, but when his son approached him, pulled his hand and said quietly, sleepily, "Mommy, I'm thirsty," he pushed away the disturbing thoughts to take care of him.
After all, he was responsible for these two little beings, and despite his anxiety, he had to take care of his sons, even though he could already see Hyunjin feeding Timothée with the milk he had previously expressed from his breast.
"Come on, I'll get you some juice, and then we'll have a warm dinner." Felix petted his son's hair as he crouched down next to him and kissed his forehead. "Hyunjin, do you remember when they were supposed to bring food?" He glanced at his husband, leading his son to the kitchen connected to the living room.
"They should be bringing the order soon." He replied, checking his watch as he put down their son's empty bottle and pacifier. "Freddie, don't touch that. The piano is dusty."
Felix briefly glanced at his son, who had moved away from the piano and sat on the rug, grabbing his crayons and a dinosaur coloring book.
"I'll make us some tea to warm us up," Felix murmured, starting to boil water while Hyunjin knelt beside their son and placed Timothée on the rug. The boy immediately crawled on all fours toward the kitchen, toward Felix.
"Mo-mmy..."
"No, no, son. You're staying with daddy and big brother." Hyunjin grabbed him under the arms and sat him on his lap, taking a teether for the baby and handing it to his son.
The rest of the day flew by. After picking up the pizza they'd ordered, everyone dug in. Everyone was exhausted from the long drive, which was evident in their older son, who barely napped during the day anymore, and he had to do it today.
After eating, Hyunjin returned to the room he'd started renovating earlier. Felix took care of the children, doing puzzles with Freddie, and in the meantime, he entertained Timothée, who was babbling and definitely wanting to learn to walk steadily. Felix had to be very careful with him, because the boy could disappear from his sight on all fours in a second.
That evening, after dinner, he bathed his younger son, and Hyunjin helped Freddie, who was already doing well on his own. Luckily, putting his sons to bed wasn't that difficult, and after they finished dinner, he managed to lull both of them to sleep while Hyunjin took the bath Felix had prepared for him.
He loved taking care of his family.
He tiptoed out of the boys' room, leaving the door open so he could hear if anything happened during the night.
He slowly climbed the stairs, heading for the bathroom, and opened the door without knocking, finding his husband in all his glory. He raised a slight eyebrow with a smile and approached the brunet, who was brushing his teeth and shaking his head at his gaze. Felix slapped his husband on the buttock and, without a word, began to undress himself.
"Go to sleep, honey. You must be tired." Felix touched his arm as Hyunjin put on his pajamas.
"Are our little boys asleep already?" He asked, wanting to make sure.
"Of course. Mom has ways with his sons." He tossed his hair playfully and laughed along with his husband until he finally slipped off his leggings and panties, tossing them to the floor. He looked up at the brunet, whose gaze changed immediately as he surveyed his body. Felix saw Hyunjin already reaching out to him, licking his lips. "No, no, no. Don't even try."
"But I just-"
"Baby, you know I'd love to make love to you too, but we're both too tired today." He interrupted, watching Hyunjin make a sad face. Felix shook his head with a chuckle and walked over to him, pulling him in for a short kiss. Almost immediately, he felt large hands on his soft body, gripping him as if the mere touch would remind Felix of who he belonged to.
Though the wedding ring on his finger meant only one thing. Felix loved looking at it.
"How about we—"
"Hyunjin, baby, please. I really don't feel like it tonight and I want to go to sleep." Felix smoothed his damp hair, kissing the corner of his mouth. "Be good, and tomorrow you'll wake up to me sucking your cock." He whispered in his ear, watching Hyunjin pull away in surprise, his eyes widening. Well, Felix wasn't a fan of blowjobs, because the gagging he felt always made him lose all motivation to please his husband.
And although Hyunjin loved it, he accepted that Felix didn't like doing it. Once Felix was sucking him off, he treated the day like a national holiday.
"Promise?" He asked, looking at Felix like a little boy whose mother had promised him a lollipop for good behavior. The blond chuckled again and, smiling, kissed his husband again.
"Promise."
As soon as Felix entered the bedroom, his beloved was already fast asleep. He chuckled and shook his head at the quiet snoring from the brunet. He took off his slippers and robe and climbed under the covers in his satin nightgown. The bed was older and creaky, but luckily he'd changed all the sheets beforehand, and the bed was ready for sleep.
Felix looked at his husband, who was sleeping on his back, and, having learned not to feel sorry for him, simply grabbed his hand and tossed it back onto the pillows, allowing him to lie on his shoulder and snuggle into Hyunjin's warm body. He purred softly as he swung his leg over his and wrapped his arm around him, snuggling into the man's chest.
And despite Felix's anxiety that day, he fell asleep almost instantly, enveloped in his husband's warmth.
But the sleep wasn't as deep as usual.
Notes:
So I'm here earlier than I intended because I really couldn't wait. What did you think of this chapter? The Hwang family is so cute, aren't they?
See you soon
With all love
