Chapter Text
Something was wrong with him.
Something was so very wrong with Giyuu down to the fundamentals of his own mind.
He knows that he should be able to feel something, but he can’t. Everything is bland and tasteless.
He understands the idea of emotions, but nothing can be mustered up, no matter when being rocked to sleep by his older sister, or whenever he would be around that peach colored boy his sister has him have play dates with.
She always said it was good for him to at least know how to feign emotion, then how to feign calm, and she isn’t wrong. It’s worked wonders for him so far. Especially right now, while he tries to hide his seething jealousy.
See, Giyuu’s problem for so long was that he couldn’t feel anything, but that was before he met him. Shinazugawa Sanemi.
When Giyuu met him, it was like he saw color for the first time, but when they walked away from each other, the feeling dwindled and Giyuu found himself chasing that same high.
Unfortunately, it’s rather difficult to get time with Sanemi, as he’s unfortunately popular.
Maybe it’s the scars, or the rough attitude, Giyuu isn’t sure. But he knows he hates the attention on his only way to feel anything.
It’s not fair. They get to feel all the time. It’s not like their time to feel something is limited to only when being around Sanemi, they’re just selfish. So damn selfish.
Another misfortune to this situation is the odd feeling of anger and jealousy Giyuu has started to feel.
It seems like it’s the only thing he can feel when Sanemi isn’t around.
Speaking of, it seems yet another girl approaches Sanemi this morning, twin butterfly clips in her hair and uniform perfectly aligned. She must think she’s so perfect and pretty.
And, well, that statement wouldn’t be inaccurate, Giyuu does have eyes, he can tell the girl is very beautiful and outwardly seems so perfect and pristine.
Either way, she’s getting far too close, closer than most and it makes Giyuu’s blood boil at the sight of it.
I wish I could gouge her eyes out so she could never look at Sanemi like that again, maybe rip out her tongue too so she couldn’t blabber on and on about nothing, like some pest.
Giyuu finds himself surprised at the violent thoughts. However he had heard from his sister it wasn’t an incoming train of thought by this point—he trusts her on that, having gone through the same thing when she was his age, maybe younger though, as he seems to have found his perfect match fairly late—, she had told him by now he would be feeling jealousy and even bloodlust. So the shock only lasts a moment before his mind wanders into the what ifs and maybes, eventually formulating a plan.
As he does so, he observes the two, from the way she greeted him earlier—‘Hello Shinazugawa-san! How are you today?’—To now.
“Kocho, I’m doing alright.” So her name was Kocho? Right, she’s the older one isn’t she?
Well, he thinks, It won’t matter much when she’s gone.
By the end of the day he’s already made a plan on exactly how Kanae will vanish by the end of the week.
————
The next day Giyuu walks to Kanae after school as she’s leaving.
Tapping her on the shoulder she turns around with a curious look and he takes that as his sing to start talking.
“Kocho, right? If you don’t mind… Could I have your help on this assignment for anatomy? If I’m not mistaken you’re doing well in the class…” He feigns nervousness, hoping to use the other’s good nature to his own advantage.
It works, he can see it in the soft look she gives him before agreeing.
“Of course I’ll help you Tomioka, when would you like help?” She asks, unaware of her own fate being sealed with the simple answer.
“Tonight would be wonderful, since we have a test this week, I’d like to get as much help as I can.”
After a bit more talking, Kanae, much to Giyuu’s dismay, tells her parents where she’ll be headed as they agreed to go to Giyuu’s home to study.
“I’ll have to tell my mom and dad, they’d be worried if I didn’t come home like usual with no warning!” she explains. Why does she have to be such a goody two shoes?
He’ll have to make up an excuse for that one. At least its the only issue she gives im in his plan, and it’s fairly easy to manage.
“I can drive us both to my place if you’d like” Giyuu offers, given he actually has a car, and he’d rather not take the bus.
“Oh, thank you Tomioka-san, that would be appreciated.”
Giyuu feels almost giddy at the thought that soon, he’ll be making the first step to finally ensure Sanemi is his. Almost, it’s fairly dim of a feeling but it feels so wonderful after never feeling anything.
“So what sort of help would you need?” she asked simply.
“I’m having trouble with naming all the things for our skeletal system project” he lies easily.
Time seems to fly as they arrive at his home and he opens the door, greeting his sister in the kitchen before heading to the basement where his room is. It’s a rather nice room, he has the whole basement area all to himself.
He lets this part play out, after all, Giyuu might as well get a bit of anatomy help out of this for real. He is a fair bit behind, though not nearly as much as he made it seem.
Eventually though, the time on his clock reads 9 pm and Kanae speaks up.
“Oh, it’s gotten late. I’d better be home soon, I hope I was helpful though Tomioka-san!” Kanae says, heading up the stairs.
When she gets there though, she finds the door locked.
Confused, she attempts turning the doorknob again. He didn’t lock her down here did he? No, it must have been a mistake, habit maybe!
During her confusion Giyuu approaches behind her and blocks her only other escape back down the stairs.
“You were most certainly helpful, Kocho. Really, this was shockingly easy to do.” Giyuu says, smiling coldly as he corners her in the thin stairwell before knocking her out cold and dragging her back down the stairs.
Now to avoid any suspicion on his end, he grabs her phone, flipping the phone open and , much to his delight, finds she doesn’t even use a password for her phone, making it far too easy to open it and take a bit to study her texting style.
He takes a bit to falsify a text to her parents about how she's on her way home using the bus, and turns off the phone afterwards.
As Giyuu does so he drags the girl’s unconscious body back down the stairs and into his private bathroom, putting her in the tub so he can easily wash away any blood.
Thinking about the clean up, he decides to change into just some shorts that were already black, meaning blood wouldn’t show up on them. He, after all, doesn’t want to have to wash blood out of clothing. It would just be such a hassle given they don’t own a washing machine at the moment.
Giyuu decides he’ll kill her by stabbing, a simple method and it shouldn’t be too difficult. He’ll just stab her in the chest a few times and wait for her lungs to fill with her own blood and choke her.
Going into the kitchen he borrows a knife his sister won’t miss and heads back down before stabbing once, twice, thrice into Kanae’s chest.
Just as he had planned, her lungs fill with blood and she reflexively tries to cough it up, but there’s too much and she can’t get any air, so it’s not long before she drowns in her own blood.
And just like that he was one step closer.

Notes:
Still not a new chapter, just a rewrite of the old one, but also I not only might get a beta reader soon, but my birthday is tomorrow‼️
Chapter Text
Kanae’s disappearance is noticed quickly.
It was expected, given her popularity. Especially with some people, which of course is what got her killed.
Speak of the devil and Giyuu heads inside and spots Sanemi around a corner. Now he’ll be able to talk with him now that the pest has been dealt with.
But as he rounds the corner to hopefully speak with the other man, he sees reddish pink hair with yellowish green tips that reminds him so much of the coloring of a damn watermelon that it just can’t be natural, and feels that now far too familiar feeling of jealousy build up with a vengeance.
Giyuu glares so intently at her from around the corner he’s almost surprised it doesn’t burn a hole in the back of her head as he watches the two interact.
“Here! Compliments of the baking club!” The girl says so joyfully while offering a tray of sweets that it makes Giyuu’s glare worsen.
How dare she be so happy when talking to Sanemi. He has a right to be that happy if he got the chance to speak to him, but that’s because it’s such a new feeling! Giyuu would frankly be completely reasonable acting like that.
Giyuu gets so lost in his internal ravings he almost misses Sanmi’s reply as he takes one of the sweets. They look western inspired the closer he looks.
“Thanks,” Sanemi says, taking a bite and pausing to be respectful. “This is good. What was your name? I’d love to get more of these.”
“My name is Kanroji Mitsuri, yours?”
“Shinazugawa Sanemi” Sanemi replies after finishing his sweets.
Mitsuri Kanroji, huh? Giyuu thinks spitefully. Whatever, she’ll be in the same predicament as Kanae soon. She seems even more gullible, if that’s possible.
———————
Turns out, this was going to be more difficult than he had initially thought. See, Mitsuri and Kanae are both very sweet, but where Kanae has seemed rather sickly in the way she was sweet, seemingly like she had no other flavors–if he continues using the food analogy–, Mitsuri has other things to balance her out.
She’s sweet, but it feels like there’s actual substance with it.
It makes it much harder to really think of killing her whenever she's near enough to see this sweetness.
“Good morning Tomioka-San! Would you like some of today's baked goods? You seem like you need a pick-me-up” She says nearly every morning.
It makes it so damn difficult to make any sort of plan, he feels too bad. He doesn’t think too hard on why he can feel bad around her when Sanemi is nowhere near, barely even pays attention to it, it simply seems natural to feel bad when she’s the way she is.
See, originally, when Giyuu had been making the rough draft of his plan to get rid of her, she had appeared next to him as if sensing the negative thoughts and immediately offered him the same sweet she offered Sanemi earlier, and he had taken it mostly out of curiosity.
“Compliments of the baking club!” She had exclaimed in that bright voice.
After he had taken a bite she continued talking for a little while, speaking so happily it should’ve been sickening but it was fairly easy to get used to, and it had halted his progress on making a plan at all.
It kept happening after that and eventually he just gave up on planning to kill her, but there were still options for halting her advances on Sanemi.
When he invited her over, reminding him of how he had disposed of Kanae, Giyuu mentioned to her his own concerns.
“Kanroji, you like Shinazugawa, don’t you?” He asked.
“Wh-what?! Well, I-I guess he is really handsome and all- but I don’t know if I’d say I liked him- Not- not like, like him anyways” Mitsuri immediately exclaims after hearing the accusation, but the bright red blush and her nervous attitude gave her away.
“Please don’t lie to me, I brought it because I like him, I have for a while and I was wondering if you would let me have the chance?” Giyuu admits, it’s a little odd saying it aloud instead of thinking of it. He also tries to play up the unsure and hopefulness of the tone he uses so she, being the giving person she is, is more likely to agree.
“You do? Well, I guess it is more of a passing attraction, and you seem so enamored! I think I can do that for you, you are my friend” She replies, looking a little upset, but not very.
But Giyuu is stuck on one particular thing she said.
“Friends?” Giyuu isn’t really sure he’s had a friend since that peach haired boy, and they drifted apart so long ago, he barely even remembers the boy’s face other than that scar on his cheek.
“Of course! I think you’re my friend Tomioka-san– u-unless you don’t want to be friends of course!” She quickly adds on.
“No no, I don’t mind. It’d be… nice to have a friend.” He quickly reassures, shocking himself with the kind tone he uses.
And that was that. Mitsuri was no longer a concern in his pursuit of Sanemi.
———————
Unfortunately, it seems that whenever he resolves one problem, yet another reveals itself.
The most recent complication being Kocho Shinubo, Kanae’s little sister.
She quickly proves to be very difficult. He can barely go anywhere without seeing a missing poster of the already dead and buried girl, not only that but she keeps badgering him with questions about when Kanae left, if he made sure she got to the bus stop, why he didn’t drive her home to make sure she was safe.
That’s not even mentioning her weird ass coping mechanism.
She keeps acting like Kanae. It’s like she just stole the dead girl's personality but very poorly. She is horrid at hiding her anger or annoyance.
And god, it’s so annoying constantly having to keep the same lie over and over at it, to the point he just decides she needs to join her sister, be her problem instead of his.
As he’s making this plan, a wonderful opportunity presents itself when Mitsuri offers he joins the baking club, as both he and Sanemi enjoy the food and it could be a good way to start talking with him, it is how she became friends with him, was her argument.
Unknowingly giving Giyuu the perfect cover up.
See, there’s another girl in the baking club who keeps offering people baked goods, particularly Shinobu, to try and raise her spirits over her sister’s disappearance, a noble effort, but there are other issues that make her a perfect scapegoat.
The girl, Ozaki, he thinks is her name, likes Sanemi, and had been offering him sweets as well, though he had denied hers after a while, a thankful thing given how he planned on killing Shinobu, can’t risk Sanemi in this. Either way, she liked Sanemi, was the point and that means he can kill two birds with one stone.
Giyuu heads home and picks some of the belladonna growing in his sister’s garden, making sure to grab enough to kill someone of Shinobu’s stature. And when he gets back, he slips the toxic berries into a berry pie Ozaki had been making, and walks away to wait.
While it will take awhile for the poison to kill Shinobu, not only is she stubborn enough to not believe she needs help, but by the time she realizes the danger she’s in, it will be too late. Her parents work later than she’ll live to, and she’ll be too nauseous to move, he is after all, giving her more than the lethal dose for her size.
By the next day, Shinobu is gone and there is a memorial service, as well as Ozaki has been taken in for questioning given she was the one to give Shinobu the pie that they found to have the traces of belladonna that killed the girl.
It doesn’t take too long after for the innocent girl to be convicted, and just like that, one more threat is gone.
Feeling so well about removing another pest, Giyuu goes to find Sanemi, hoping to finally have a chance to just talk with him.
But as he rounds the corner, a disappointingly familiar sight awaits him. Someone else is speaking with Sanemi. The sight that greets him is a heterochromic boy with black, choppy hair speaking to Sanemi. And the worst part?
Sanemi seems by far the most interested in this one.
Chapter Text
Iguro Obanai is a pain.
Since he showed up–or, according to Mitsuri, came back because he had been gone from school for a while– he has been so damn close with Sanemi. Apparently they are close and have been since middle school.
Just Giyuu’s luck, getting rid of the worst threat of being found out only to be met with someone Sanemi might genuinely like back.
Sure with the other ones, there had been a chance. That’s why Giyuu killed them–that and he felt jealous, but it was mostly for the threat they brought– but now he has someone Sanemi has shown real interest in!
Just the way they interact makes Giyuu anxious and he hates it. It feels like some bug is crawling all over him.
But, it doesn’t matter. Giyuu will get rid of him, like he always does, and he can make sure Sanemi isn’t too sad about it.
———————
Unfortunately, it’s starting to seem like Giyuu’s success rate is going down.
Giyuu tried poisoning Obanai. His fucking snake sniffed it out and alerted him.
He tried to stab him once they were alone. Sanemi walked in and he had to cover up what he had been trying.
Giyuu has been trying to kill the damn man for so long someone else has shown up.
Some loud blond. Seriously, Giyuu had thought Mitsuri was loud, clearly he was wrong.
Sanemi is actually talking with the blond one now, and he overhears his name to be Rengoku something, it does ring a bell but Giyuu really doesn’t pay attention to most other students unless it’s important.
“Shinazugawa-San! Would you like to join me for food later?! I know a place I believe you’d like!” The man practically bellows, it hurts Giyuu’s ears and he isn’t even near the man.
He sees Sanemi wince at the volume as well and glares harder at the bright haired man next to him.
“Yeah, I can join you Rengoku, but can ya keep it down? I’m gonna burst an eardrum” Sanemi grumbles.
“What?!” Rengoku questions. Somehow not having heard Sanemi from the looks of it.
“I said I’d join ya” Sanemi repeats, louder than before.
“What?!” Rengoku asks again.
“I’ll join you!” Sanemi half shouts. “God, you really need to get yer ears checked.” he grumbles before walking off to class.
Giyuu walks to class as well, he needs more info before he can do something about this most recent problem.
———————
Finally, Giyuu has a bit of luck.
Kyojuro, as he finds his first name to be, happens to live with Obanai. Or, he supposes it’s the other way around, Obanai living with Kyojuro’s family.
But, this means he can get rid of two birds with one stone now. He could burn that damn house down when Kyojuro gets back from his little date with Sanemi.
He could care less on whether the father and youngest brother get out or survive, but he hopes to whatever divine being there may be that he can get both of his current targets.
As of right now he watches Sanemi and Kyojuro’s dinner date or whatever it is. Waiting for it to be over.
Maybe he could take Sanemi on a date like that at some point.
He begins to daydream about it to pass the date until finally the date is over and the two bid each other farewell.
Giyuu follows Kyojuro home at a distance. He had already made sure to take precaution to not be recognized.
As Kyojuro heads in, Giyuu peaks in through a few windows to follow where he goes, and waits for everyone in the house he wants dead to fall asleep, he doesn’t pay any mind to the other two though.
Finally, finally, the two are asleep and Giyuu sneaks in to turn off all the smoke detectors and make as many fire hazards as possible. Turning on the oven and stove and spilling oil on and in them, turning on space heaters in enclosed rooms. Anything he can think of before he sneaks out to wait and make sure this goes as planned.
It doesn’t take long for a fire to start. It seems Kyojuro is the first to notice the smoke and quickly gets up to wake everyone else. The fire is already bad and there looks to be a lot of smoke in the house.
Giyuu sees the youngest run out seemingly ushered by Kyojuro. Then, much to Giyuu’s annoyance, Obanai is quickly gotten out next.
“Kyojuro! We still need to get your dad” Obanai protests, though it's hard to hear over the sound of roaring fire.
“No! I’ll go get him, you make sure Senjuro gets away from the building- and the smoke!” Kyojuro gives the other a tight hug before rushing back into the burning building to go try to save the final member of their family.
He’s gone far longer than the other two trying to get him, before finally Rengoku senior is out of the house.
Giyuu can see through a window that Shinjuro only just makes it out of the building before a beam falls down from the fire wearing it down. The impact knocks Kyojuro down and before he can react further, another part of the beam falls down and there’s a disgusting sound as it pierces through his stomach, trapping him in the fire.
By the time the firemen get there, it is far too late to save Kyojuro. No one had been able to get inside before the fire spread throughout the house, meaning all that was pulled out of the wreckage was a charred corpse and horribly burnt wood still sticking out of the man’s stomach.
At the end of it all, Giyuu at least can congratulate himself for managing to get rid of one problem.
Chapter Text
The funeral was closed casket and there was yet another memorial at school, similar to the one for Shinobu.
Giyuu however, has been annoyed because his pride at the successful murder was now being blemished by how Sanemi has constantly been at Obanai’s side, comforting him about the death of Kyojuro.
And still, still, his attempts on Obanai’s life have proved fruitless.
It just means he’ll have to be more creative for this one.
Giyuu finds out that Obanai had been staying after school to clean up, seemingly to stay away from where Shinjuro and the youngest Rengoku are staying.
It gives Giyuu a useful opportunity. The school will be completely empty and cameras are usually turned off that late.
All Giyuu needs is something to knock Obanai out with.
See, when he does this, he doesn’t want to kill him. Not yet.
After all the annoyance the man has caused, Giyuu wants to draw it out for a while. So he’ll need Obanai alive and well when he kidnaps him.
———————
Giyuu asks his sister for chloroform when he gets home, she doesn’t question it and just gives him the stuff, and explains the lethal doses for weight groups, as an extra precaution.
Just to be certain he doesn’t kill the other too early, Giyuu uses a bit less than he thinks he’ll need, he’d rather be sure rather than miss out on a much needed way to vent out all the annoyance of the last month or so.
After driving back to the school he sneaks in with his face covered and the car he drove further away to not be noticed.
Sneaking in and searching only for a few minutes before finding Obanai, he finds it to be shockingly easy to sneak up on the other, and he supposes it makes sense given just how emotionally numb the other had been since Kyojuro’s death.
Either way, it makes it easier for Giyuu to grab the other around the arms and waist with one arm as the other forces the chloroform soaked rag against his face.
Obviously the other does try to fight back, but Giyuu is much larger than him so it’s a losing battle, and Giyuu can feel as the other inhales more and more of the chemical as he can't hold his breath forever.
Giyuu waits a bit longer after Obanai goes limp, just to be sure he isn’t faking, before removing the rag and picking the other up over his shoulder, carrying the shorter man to his car and strapping him in as he notices the other is still just barely conscious.
Giyuu’s fine with that. Just means the other can sit and stew in dread over what’s going to happen.
Getting into the front seat Giyuu drives off and doesn’t spare the other a glance, or even a word. Just heading home, picking him back up, heading inside and downstairs, and plopping the other down into a chair he ties Obanai to before finally speaking up.
“You are awake, aren’t you Iguro?” Giyuu asks, looking the other in the eyes. He looks rather dazed, but still aware.
Obanai certainly tries to say something, but he can't string together a sentence with the drug still active.
“Don’t worry, it’s just chloroform, after all, I do need you alive to really get the chance to drag all this out.”
Giyuu sees a slight look of fear pass over the other’s face but ignores it for now, looking around for the knife he’d used on Kanae before finding it and starting to clean it. He doesn’t want Obanai dying of infection of all things, after all, Giyuu will be in complete control of what it is that kills the other.
———————
Giyuu fully finishes cleaning just a bit before Obanai finally regains most of his muscle functions.
“What the hell do you have planned?” Obanai hisses out.
Speaking of hissing. Giyuu had noticed that dumb snake Obanai always carries around and placed the little guy into a terrarium he had lying around from when his sister kept having him take care of animals to help him adjust a bit better.
“Well, I sort of thought it was obvious by now. I’m going to kill you, and I’m going to take a good long while, you’ve just been such a pain in the ass.” Giyuu replies simply.
“You… I’m not the first one you’ve killed, am I?” Obanai seems to realize.
“Very perceptive, no, no you aren’t. You were going to be earlier but you just had to be so damn difficult, but I suppose if you had died earlier Rengoku would’ve managed to escape with that extra time, wouldn’t he?” Giyuu is intentionally trying to distress the other, and it seems to work. “Oh, I suppose that is a sore subject, so sorry.” He mocks, and it’s especially clear given his flat tone.
“You’re a bastard- a rat faced bastard!” Obanai yells, clearly having been provoked by the jabs.
“I think you’re forgetting who has a knife, Iguro, so I’d shut my mouth if I were you.” He points the knife at Obanais’ throat to further prove his point.
Obanai concedes but still glares. Well, not everything can go the exact way as wished for, Giyuu supposes.
“I suppose you want to know why exactly you’ll be killed?” Giyuu asks, he doesn’t wait for an answer before continuing “You love Shinazugawa, and he might’ve even liked you back, so just for that I’ll make your death worse.”
“You’re sick- are you seriously killing people because you’re jealous?! It won't make him any more likely to-” Obanai is cut off with a shriek as Giyuu stabs into his shoulder.
“I did tell you to shut up, didn't I?” Giyuu questions with a flat tone, pulling the knife out and licking the blood off.
Obanai does manage a disgusted face at what Giyuu does, but it’s far more pained than disgusted.
After letting the other bleed a little longer Giyuu sighs before heading to his adjacent bathroom to grab some bandages and such.
Giyuu unties the arm to make it easier to treat the wound and he decides instead of dealing with the hassle of removing the whole uniform top to get to it to instead just cut off those bits of fabric.
“Why-” Obanai has to stop to hiss at the way talking disturbs the wound. “Why are you treating that if you’re just going to kill me anyways?” He asks shakily.
“You are going to die by my choice. Something as dumb as sepsis isn’t going to take that satisfaction from me.” Giyuu responds.
When Giyuu is done treating the wound, he steps back after retying Obanai’s arm to the chair, inspecting his work. Deeming it good enough to prevent infection, Giyuu heads over to turn out the lights.
“Goodnight Iguro, maybe you’ll be less loudmouthed from now on after that warning, hm?”
The lights go out and Obanai is left to stew in his thoughts.

Chapter Text
His shoulder feels like it’s been dipped in acid.
Obanai thought people over-exaggerated how painful stab wounds were, but the horrid feeling that feels like it’s dipping into his bone is proving that theory wrong.
Still, he needs to focus, that sicko is sleeping, so maybe he can escape.
But- how can he when not only does every movement jostle his arm and restart that burning feeling, but any movement seems fruitless given how tightly he’s been tied up.
There’s a small rustling sound that causes him to look up. Obanai can just barely see, it’s so dark it takes a while for his eyes to adjust, but he thinks he catches the glimmer of scales coming out of that cage the bastard put Kaburumaru in.
The serpent manages to get out and starts to crawl over to Obanai, and climbs his leg before starting to bite at the ropes tying him to the chair until they fray and snap.
Obanai feels unmatched relief at seeing Kaburumaru, completely unharmed, he hadn’t managed a good look at his reptilian friend but he at the very least seems in better condition than Obanai himself.
Once his arm is free Obanai uses it to free the injured one, wincing anytime he moves a bit too harshly but determined. This could be his only window for escape at all.
As he does that Kaburumaru free his legs, and finally he can move.
Picking up the snake he walks slowly and quietly to the closed door, opening it and taking only a step before the floor creaks loudly under him.
Shuddering, he looks behind him to see if maybe, just maybe, he didn’t wake up from it.
He meets two raging blue eyes glaring at him.
———————
That difficult shithead is trying to escape!
Giyuu bolts up just as the choppy haired man bolts up those stairs. Going for the door it seems.
Giyuu chases after him and sees him climbing the stairs and just barely brush his hand to the door handle before Giyuu tackles him down the stairs, landing atop him when they make it to the ground.
“You really thought you could get away that easily?” Giyuu mocks, smiling dangerously at the other.
The snake he’s glimpsed around Obanai’s neck is gone, and he only just realizes it before something bites his hand harshly and he winces, grabbing the damn thing as it tries to flee and forcing it’s mouth shut so it can’t try that again.
“Told it to do that, didn’t you? Real funny, but if it does it again and the next thing I use to tie you down will be that thing’s skin.” Giyuu’s bluffing, he’s not that shitty, but Obanai doesn’t know that, and the look of horror that spreads on his face is exactly what he was looking for.
Obanai tries to buck Giyuu off of him but Giyuu has the upper hand in weight, so it doesn’t do much and he snickers at the attempt.
“Get off of me you sick fuck!” Obanai yells at him, but all it takes is Giyuu harshly grinding his hand into that shoulder wound to shut him up.
“How many times is it going to take me telling you before you keep your mouth shut?” Giyuu sighs at the continued defiant look he gets from Obanai, so much fire still. He really just refuses to give up even slightly doesn’t he?
“I do wonder though, what should I do for this little stunt you pulled? I don’t quite enjoy you trying to escape. Probably trying to run back to Shinazugawa…” Giyuu grumbles.
“What, jealous still that I actually talked to him?” Obanai taunts.
Giyuu wants that stupid shimmer of glee at his growing annoyance gone already. But nothing he’s done so far has gotten rid of it, not since the slight disgust that came with licking Obanai’s blood off his knife. That’s been the closest thing thus far to any lack of that gleam.
Maybe…
Obanai certainly doesn’t expect the other to lunge at him, given he’s already right above him. But least of all does he anticipate the sinking of teeth into his -previously- uninjured shoulder.
It startles something reminiscent of a scream out of him. Then, then, there’s a suction on the wound because that shit head is drinking his blood again.
Obanai finds his face turning red at the moan-like noise that spills from his mouth at the sensation.
He can feel Giyuu’s breath hit his neck with every exhale, dancing across sensitive skin.
It makes something far different than fear run through him.
Giyuu leans further in to be able to drink more deeply- only to feel something poking him on the leg. To which he backs away slightly, breath still hitting Obanai’s neck.
“Are you…hard?” Giyuu questions, voice having a tint of humor mixed in.
He doesn’t need confirmation aside from Obanai’s deepening blush before bursting out laughing, cold and cruel.
“That’s pathetic! Is that all it takes? And a bite?” Giyuu chuckles, still licking some of the blood dripping down off of Obanai’s shoulder as he does so.
“What an utter freak. Are you getting off on me hurting you? Seriously?” Giyuu laughs in the other’s face, such a hollow and yet manic sound.
Seeing humiliation flash across Obanai’s face, Giyuu has a sense of pride run through him at the sight. Obanai deserves it, for being in love with Sanemi, for Sanemi loving him back, for refusing to be easy to kill.
“Imagine being so easy that you could get turned on from something like this… if I could I would feel utterly humiliated in your position..” Giyuu whispers into the other’s ear, grinning sadistically.
Obanai’s face reddens with the taunts and Giyuu decides to leave him alone, on that aspect anyways.
Instead he gets up and drags the other with him, still holding the other’s precious pet in one hand so he won’t fight it, not wanting to risk the damn thing.
Giyuu first pushes Obanai back into the chair and looks around for anything better he could use to restrain the other one. Searching around he finds quite a few of his old uniform belts he outgrew and uses those, given they’d be far harder to bite through for a snake.
“Now, since you did try to escape, I will warn you. Try that again and I’ll break your leg when I catch you again.” Giyuu explains so simply you’d think he were talking about the weather and not threatening another as he ties them to a chair.
Giyuu then deposits Kaburumaru back into the terrarium, this time ensuring it’s properly closed and locked to avoid further issues.
“Oh, before I forget- I should do something to make sure you don’t get any ideas about trying that again, don’t I?” He wonders aloud, beginning to search through all the fun things he has.
Finally, he pulls out a much smaller, and yet serrated blade. Walking back over to Obanai and tracing the point over his knee, before speaking, “Now, this one would be such a pain to be pulled out, wouldn’t it, Iguro?”
“Get-get that away from me you psycho!” Obanai shouts, fear clear in his eyes. It’s a look that suits his face far better than the seemingly smug look he always seemed to have in school, Giyuu thinks.
“Still so rude. Not even an apology…” Giyuu mutters, still pushing the edge of the blade lightly into Obanai’s knee, just enough to feel the point.
Slowly he begins to push the knife with more and more pressure, just barely keeping from breaking the skin as he waits for what he wants.
It’s horribly nerve wracking for Obania, the worsening pressure from that sharp edge promising an even worse drawback if-when- it is pulled out.
Giyuu makes sure to drag out the wait for nearly a minute, letting Obanai just stew in terror before he finally gets what he wants.
“Fine-fine! I’m sorry- I won’t try it again!” Obanai very clearly hates and disagrees with every word he says, but that's hardly the point.
Just that feeling of defeat is enough for Giyuu to take away the knife, not even having managed to pierce the skin yet, given how slowly he was increasing pressure.
Giyuu gives the other a hollow smile before turning off the lights for a second try with this.
If this one fails, the consequences will be far worse on the following attempt.
