The Butterfly Fall

Summary:

How much would it cost for Sakura Haruno to recreate her failed dance attempt that she did with Hinata & Hanabi Hyuga? Sasuke Uchiha's willing to pay...

Of course, Rin Nohara & Obito Sasuke find the whole ordeal to be amusing.

Notes:

To Macondo, maybe this could make you laugh?

Koda Kumi's song, Butterfly, was featured in the shoujo manga Dengeki Daisy by Motomi Kyousuke, and that's how I know the song...I had no business reading that so young, but I first read it when 11 and I didn't finish it until I was 16...It's still a fire song to do karaoke to!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Rin Nohara was a simple person; her grandfather's tea room would always be open 24/7. But right now, Sakura Haruno was attempting to lock the doors from the incoming stampede of wild deer.

"Do you need any help, Saku-chan?" Rin asked the pink-haired university student.

The twenty-two-year-old in particular was currently stacking multiple wooden chairs on top of each other.

Sakura shook her head. "No, Sister Rin, I'm good."

"Sometimes, I wonder what it would be like to live in Suna. I don't think they ever have to deal with the usual deer stampedes," said a voice, belonging to a dark-haired man around Sakura's age, Sasuke Uchiha.

Sakura shrugged her shoulders. "These deer stampedes beat the sandstorms in Suna, engulfing the city. I don't know how Temari could deal with that."

The older man sitting next to Sasuke, Obito Uchiha, checked the local news on his phone, "Apparently, the Nara clan will be handling the deer once again. This time, they're getting the Yamanaka clan to help them bring the deers to the Juhua Stadium."

Rin's eyes widened at the name. "Juhua Stadium...isn't that where...," Rin trailed off, glancing at Sakura, whose face turned bright pink, almost competing with her infamous hair color.

"Oh, be quiet," Sakura demanded, crossing her arms across her chest, "I don't need to remember the incident."

"What incident?" Obito asked, raising an eyebrow at the playful smile on Rin's face and the embarrassed expression on Sakura's.

"Sakura, Ino, Temari, Hinata, Hanabi, TenTen, and I snuck inside Juhua Stadium at midnight because Kushina Uzumaki told us that it's the best place to have karaoke due to the echo. Unfortunately, Sasuke, Sai, Shikamaru, Naruto, Konohamaru, and Neji came to spy on us. When Sakura was singing Butterfly by Koda Kumi in the outfit she was wearing underneath with Hinata and Hanabi as her backup dancers in matching outfits to complement Sakura, Konohamaru's fake prank snakes decided to finally make an experience. Hanabi, in a state of shock and distress, rushed to Hinata, but Hinata ended up tripping over Sakura, and the three of them all fell to the ground. Of course, Sasuke and Shikamaru just had to record the event, and now, the Juhua Stadium incident will forever be called the Butterfly Fall."

Sasuke couldn't help holding his chuckle. "If you ever want a good laugh, this video will give you just that."

Sakura glared at Sasuke. "Maybe I should get Temari to belly dance tickle you...Better yet, I could do that right now."

Sasuke closed his mouth at the threat.

Obito facepalmed. "Is that why Itachi and Shisui will laugh whenever Mother Mikoto mentions butterflies in her garden?"

Rin nodded her head. "Shisui approached me one day to ask me about having Sakura, Hinata, and Hanabi perform for Sasuke's twenty-first birthday."

Obito pointed out, "But, for Sasuke's twenty-first, we got to rent out Raja Hotel courtesy of Mother Mikoto, and that was fun, especially when a drunk Naruto attempted to do a Killer Bee choreography and failed miserably."

With that, Sakura giggled, "Luckily, Shikamaru offered to sing Stronger(What Doesn't Kill You) by Kelly Clarkson; that was sweet of him to do."

Sasuke pulled out a checkbook from Obito's bag and gave it to Sakura. "How much would it cost you to perform Butterfly like you once did at the Juhua Stadium?"

Notes:

I'd pay good money if Sakura Haruno could perform for me, too!
