Chapter Text

The burrow was dimly lit, the soft glow of a holographic screen casting eerie shadows across the walls. Alix Kubdel sat in her ergonomic chair, her eyes fixed on the replay of "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir." The seasons were a whirlwind of emotions, but something felt off. She leaned forward, her brow furrowed in concentration.

"Season 4," she muttered, her voice barely audible. "The stakes seemed high, but the resolution... it lacked depth."

She fast-forwarded through the episodes, her mind racing with thoughts of what could have been. "The final battle was rushed. The emotional weight was missing."

Alix paused the playback, her gaze drifting to the ceiling. "And Season 5... It had potential, but the character arcs were inconsistent."

She reached for a nearby tablet, her fingers dancing across the screen as she jotted down notes. "Marinette's struggle with her identity... it needed more depth. And Adrien... his journey was cut short. And Chloé, oh beautiful Chloé what had they done to you. At least in Season 4 I can understand you crashing out, but here they fried your brain girl."

Alix leaned back, her eyes closed as she pondered the possibilities. "I can fix this, I have to! I can give them all the closure they deserve, the endings they should've gotten!"

With a determined nod, she opened a new window on her holographic screen. "Time to rewrite history." She stared at her Miraculous, kissing it for good luck. "I hope granny doesn't think bad of me."

Her fingers flew across the keyboard, lines of code appearing as she manipulated the timeline. "I'll give them the battles they deserved. The emotions they needed, the end result needs to be more satisfying!"

Alix's eyes gleamed with anticipation. "And when I'm done, everyone will see the true potential of Miraculous."

She settled back, a satisfied smile on her lips as the screen flickered to life, revealing a new, improved version of the series. "Now, let's fix a few things." She placed the Rabbit Miraculous in the disk reader, an incision was made for the Rabbit. She knew meddling with time had consequences, but after seeing this she had to step in.

A flash of light The screen flickered, revealing a vast, empty space filled with familiar faces. Marinette, Adrien, Chloé, Luka, Kagami, Alix (younger self), Félix, Zoé, and many more stood in a circle, their expressions a mix of bewilderment and curiosity.

Alix's voice echoed in the void, clear and commanding. "Welcome, everyone. You're here because your stories deserve to be told. Your journeys deserve to be explored."

She paused, her eyes scanning the faces before her. "But first, we need to understand. What makes you tick? What drives you? What are your dreams, your fears, your hopes? Is there something you all regret? Something you wished you done differently? Well we're gonna help you figure it out before it happens!"

"Uhh, what?" Kagami asked.

"This is your chance," Alix continued. "To be more than just characters in a story. To be heroes, to be villains, to be everything in between."

She settled back, a satisfied smile on her lips. "I'll give you a moment to get your bearings and I have plenty of snacks I ain't finishing on my own so help yourself!"

"Ah, mini-me!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of amusement and affection at the sight of her younger self.

"You're getting a front row seat. I want you to see your future self kick some ass!"

Her younger self looked around, confusion and curiosity etched on her face. Older!Alix chuckled, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Trust me, you're in for a ride. You'll see how far you've come, how much you've grown."

Chloé stood completely nude as she was just finishing up a shower, her blonde hair cascading down her back, water droplets still clinging to her skin. She quickly covered herself, her eyes wide with shock. "What, how did I?! I haven't had time to get dressed! Sabrina was supposed to bring me my clothes!"

Sabrina, standing on the opposite end of the room, chuckled nervously, her gaze flicking between Chloé and the floor. "Heh heh, sorry Chloé," she said, her voice laced with a mix of amusement and apology.

Marinette took off her jacket and offered it to Chloé. "Here, you can wear this," she said softly.

But Chloé refused, her expression a mix of pride and defiance. "I'm not wearing your baker girl clothes," she snapped.

Marinette shrugged. "Fine, I like what I see anyway."

Older!Alix, watching the scene unfold, laughed heartily. "Well Chloé, guess you'll just have to do this in your birthday suit. This is after all, the naked truth."

Chloé snarled, her eyes flashing with anger. "This is ridiculous!" she hissed, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment and rage. "Get me my clothes, now!"

"No time!" Older!Alix insisted. "It'll take me too long to start another warp."

Zoé, standing nearby, snickered softly, her eyes gleaming with a mix of amusement and schadenfreude. "Looks like someone's caught with their pants down, literally," she quipped mockingly.

Alix, still chuckling, leaned back in her chair, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, this is going to be fun," she murmured, her fingers poised over the keyboard, ready to dive deeper into the chaos.

Alya and Nino were engrossed in a intense game of Super Penguino, their eyes glued to the screen, completely unaware of the chaos unfolding around them until they finished their session. "Where are we?" Nino asked, his brow furrowed in confusion as he looked around the void.

Suddenly, his eyes widened, and he pointed at Chloé. "Hey look, Chloé's naked!" he exclaimed, his voice a mix of surprise and amusement.

Alya, finally tearing her gaze away from the game, looked up and blinked in disbelief. "What the...? Chloé, what's going on?" she stammered, her eyes darting between Chloé and the others.

Chloé, still snarling, shot Nino a glare. "As if you've never seen a girl naked before, perv!" she snapped, her cheeks flushing a deeper shade of red.

Nino shrugged, a smirk playing on his lips. "Well, not like this, no. Usually they're not so... angry about it."

Marinette got them up to speed as Luka and Kagami chatted in the distance.

"So, you been good?" Luka asked.

"Yes, I've been good, and you you must be good if you're asking me if I was!" Kagami said quickly, flashing a smile before returning to her deadpan expression.

Luka, unable to keep up with all that just flashed a thumbs up.

Félix looked around, unamused by his surroundings, he had a plan to carry out, but there was no escape at the moment. For now he'd let this little charade play out. Probably one of uncle Gabe's tricks anyway he thought to himself. But then why would uncle Gabe be there?

Chloé sat angrily, her arms crossed protectively over her chest, her eyes blazing with frustration. Marinette took the seat next to her, offering a small, supportive smile that Chloé barely acknowledged.

Alya and Nino, still in disbelief, sat across from them, their eyes wide and curious. Adrien, ever the gentleman, sat to Marinette's left, his expression a mix of concern and confusion. Félix, sipping his tea with a casual air, leaned back in his chair. "You can put your arms down, there's nothing there I want to see," he remarked to Chloé nonchalantly, earning a glare from Marinette.

"Wow, rude," Marinette muttered under her breath, her eyes flashing with irritation.

Younger!Alix, sitting next to Alya and Nino, watched the scene with a mix of amusement and curiosity. Luka and Kagami took their seats behind Marinette, their expressions thoughtful as they surveyed the room.

Sabrina, still chuckling nervously, sat behind Chloé, her eyes flicking between her friend and the others. Zoé, with a smirk, took the seat next to Chloé, her gaze lingering on the uncomfortable scene before her.

The rest of Miss Bustier's class filled out the second row, their whispers and murmurs filling the air. In the third row, the adults sat in a mix of confusion and bewilderment. Gabriel, Nathalie, Andre Glacier, Marinette's parents, Audrey, and Caline Bustier all exchanged glances, trying to make sense of the situation. Harry Clown, bafflingly present, sat at the end, his expression a mix of amusement and curiosity.

Alix, watching the scene unfold, leaned back in her chair, a satisfied smile on her lips. "Oh, this is going to be a fun ride," she murmured, her fingers poised over the keyboard, ready to dive deeper into the chaos.

“Oh boy,” Older!Alix lamented, she pointed to Luka and Kagami. “You two… deserve better,” she then guided her index finger to Marinette and Adrien, “and you two, are idiots!”

“Why? What’d we do?!” Marinette asked defensively.

Alix shook her head and played the first episode. “See for yourself.”

Nathalie: (voice-over) Dust from the sky, now precious, will fix the wings of the injured animal. Combine the molten gold with the meteorite powder. Then, add the peacock feather.

Gabriel: Miraculous, repair yourself! (the miraculous glows and hovers, then lands in his hand repaired) It's perfect, as good as new! Now it's completely safe to use. (puts Miraculous on)

“Yeah well, you’re still dying,” said Alix pointing to Nathalie. “What’s the point of fixing a Miraculous if it doesn’t undo the damage it caused to you?”

Nathalie twiddled her fingers, she didn’t have an answer. “Gabriel… was going to leave me to die?”

Gabriel shamefully averted his gaze, Harry patted his shoulder. “It’s okay Gabe, we’ll all get a good laugh out of this huh?” He honked his nose, this cheered him up a bit.

Duusu: (appears from the Miraculous) Wow, I feel so much better! What happened? Huh? Nooroo! (hugs Nooroo) Oh wow, everything was so chaotic in my head, like a nightmare where I'd fallen into very bad hands!

Nooroo: Sorry, old friend, but I'm afraid the nightmare is not over yet. (points to Gabriel, wearing both Miraculous)

[Transformation Sequence]

Gabriel: Nooroo, Duusu, Unify!

(Gabriel transforms into Shadow Moth)

Scene: Marinette's room. Marinette looking at a sketch and the Miracle Box

Marinette: So, they all live in there?

Tikki: Yes, except for Nooroo and Duusu, who are being held captive by the bad guys.

Marinette: Master Fu never let them out?

Tikki: (trying on hats) Only Kwamis like me who have a holder like you can go out into the human world, Marinette.

Older!Alix groaned. “It should be Fu telling her this, not Tikki!” Younger!Alix added.

Marinette: But... (takes the box in her hands) isn't it a bit cramped in there?

Tikki: Oh no! There's a whole parallel world inside! Of course, being out here is much more interesting. You humans are so inventive!

Marinette: (notices button on the top of box, pushes it, causing all the kwamis to be freed. She falls over) I thought they couldn't get out.

Tikki: Now that you're the Guardian, the box has become just like you! Full of surprises! That's amazing!

Marinette’s brow furrowed. “Isn’t that kind of a dead giveaway who the guardian is? What if the box decided to model itself after Marinette instead of Ladybug?”

Alix gestured the remote towards Marinette. “Ha ha! You’re catching on quick!”

Mullo: (snatches Tikki's hat off her head) Thanks, Tikki!

Tikki: Hey! Marinette made that for me! (chases after Mullo)

Marinette: (sees Trixx looking at her diary, gasps) That's my secret diary! (tucks diary away in drawer)

Daizzi: (bouncing on an on/off switch of desk lamp) Day! Night! Night! Day! (continues in background)

Ziggy: (phone rings, holding Marinette's phone) Wow! It makes music, I love music! (Marinette tries and fails to grab the phone away, trips)

Marinette: Careful with my phone!

Kaalki: (phases through window and looks out to the street in awe) Oh my, you have to see this! The carts are all moving on their own! There isn't a single horse here to pull them! (grabbed by Marinette)

Kid: (pointing up in disbelief at the scene above) Look, mom!

Kid Mom: Huh?

Marinette: (pulls Kaalki closer, pretending she's a toy) Uh haha, it's a talking squishy, but it's not for sale yet! (closes window, sits down, exhausted by the kwamis antics. At the desk, Stompp and Xuppu jump on the keyboard which turns on the news)

Alix pinched the bridge of her nose. “How Fu kept you from roaming all this time I’ll never know.”

Nadja Chamack: (on computer) The city of Paris is getting ready to celebrate famous Prince Ali's birthday! (alert comes on that Alya is calling. Marinette rushes over, grabs keyboard away from kwamis, and answers)

Alya: Marinette?

Marinette: (still holding Kaalki while the other kwamis watch the monitor) Oh, Alya! What do you think of my new squishies? Pretty cute, right?

Alya: What new squishies?

Marinette: Uh- (looks at Kaalki, confused)

Tikki: Marinette, we're magical creatures, remember? We can't be seen or heard on screen or in photographs.

“Can remember Adrien’s schedule, but not how to manage your Kwamis?” Alya giggled.

“What was I supposed to do? Read the manual?” Marinette asked defensively.

Max rolled his eyes. “Only lazy gamers rely on on-screen tutorials.”

Ziggy: Ooh, so that's why I'm not showing up on these magic paintings!

Marinette: Right, she can only see me and I look completely ridiculous, don't I?

Alya: Marinette, are you feeling okay?

Marinette: (attempting to recover) Aaah! Hey, girls! So happy to see you! Now is just the perfect time for a chat!

Rose: (excitedly) Did you say new squishies? Show us!

Marinette: Uh, squishies? What squishies? (she tries to move the kwamis away and falls) Ah!

Alya: Marinette, you okay?

Roaar: How'd your friends lock themselves in this picture frame?

Daizzi: They look so cute. (referring to Alya) I want her as my holder.

Trixx: She's taken.

“Indeed I am,” Alya giggled, nuzzling up to Nino.

Mullo: (whines) Why does Trixx get to have a holder when we don't?

Alya: Marinette, you're acting weirder than usual.

Marinette: Eh heh! I'm just... working out! (posing) I came up with this work out- it's uh- super special work out, hehe, to uh, be in shape before making squishies!

Mylène: You should get some fresh air, you look overwhelmed.

Alya: Wait a minute: awkward gesturing, ridiculous babbling, weird excuses, clumsiness overload...

The girls: (gasp) Is Adrien there?!

“Yes Alya, the sheltered boy who almost never gets to go anywhere is there, seriously use your brain.” Older!Alix grumbled.

“Does my pushing really get worse?” Alya wondered. Nino shrugged.

Marinette: What? Of course not. (Her phone rings, Ziggy throws it, she catches it and sees who's calling) Luka? (drops the phone onto the keyboard, ending the video call)

Scene: Alya's room.

The girls: (adoringly) Luka...

Juleka: (mumbles)

The girls: (reacting to what Juleka said) Aw! That's so cute!

Older!Alix looked ready to scream, her gaze shifting back to Marinette who’s eyes widened nervously. “You… didn’t tell us you were with Luka?” She asked before turning to Luka. “And you… didn’t tell Juleka?”

“I didn’t think it was important,” Luka sighed.

“So we almost set up Marinette to cheat on you cause neither one of you communicated this to us?” Younger!Alix teased.

“Fine, I’ll just wear a neon sign for the next girl I date.” Luka joked back.

Younger!Alix gestured to the blue-haired boy. “I like him,” she whispered to her older self.

Marinette: (answering the phone) Wow, Luka! Hi.

Luka: Hi and thanks for the pictures.

Marinette: What do you mean "thanks"?

Luka: Thanks for the photos of your bedroom (Marinette checks phone and discovers the accidentally-sent pictures by Ziggy) and of Adrien.

Marinette: Ah, my room! Yeah, I- uh- it's full of photos of Adrien because I uh... I'm using them for fashion pics for my blog and I need your opinion on them because I know you have great taste, Adrien.

Luka: My name is Luka.

Marinette: Haha yes of course, Adrie- I mean, Luka. You're Luka, obviously, hehe, because you're you, and I am me, Marinette. Hehe, uh, I'm so sorry, it's just that I've been so busted- uh I mean, busy!

Luka: No problem, Marinette, it's cool. So you ready?

Marinette: (blankly) Ready for what?

Luka: Well... our date. (shot widens to reveal that he is in her house, waiting)

“Wow!” Chloé giggled. “You won’t even remember your date? That’s funny!” She waved her hand, exposing her breasts to Marinette.

“At least I remembered my clothes!” Marinette retorted. Chloé growled, covering back up.

“Was I really this oblivious?” Luka wondered.

Sabine: (calling to Marinette from downstairs) Marinette, Luka is waiting for you!

Marinette: Right! Haha okay. I'll be right there! (grabs the kwamis and the Miracle Box and shoves them into an empty cabinet. The kwamis phase their heads through the door) and remember, be good. Hide, Tikki. (opens purse, Tikki immediately gets in. She runs to her bedroom door and opens it)

Scene: Dupain-Cheng living room.

Sabine: (right outside Marinette's door) Wasn't your date with Luka supposed to be yesterday?

Marinette: (gasps, runs down stairs) No! I completely forgot about yesterday's date!

Luka: (Marinette standing in front of him) That's why we agreed that I'd come pick you up today, Marinette. It's the last screening, we can't miss it.

Marinette: (pretending to know what Luka is referring to) Of course, it would really be a shame to miss uh... (looks around, hoping someone else will finish. They don't, she continues) the thing we're gonna watch at this screening.

Tom: I can't believe they're showing it again! It was so silly when it came out 15 years ago, it can't be any better now.

Sabine: Oh honey, it was his first movie. Think about your first baguette, it was pretty bad, too.

Luka: Sure the movie's a bit mindless, but Marinette and I love him so much that we swore we'd see it together.

Marinette: (remembering, claps her hands excitedly) I know! We're gonna see "Crocodile Heart", Jagged Stone's first movie.

Luka: Did you forget?

Marinette: (denying) Of course, not! And I don't have any other emergencies right now either. So... (walks over, grabs Luka's arm, and they both head out) come on, let's go.

“You’re a bad girlfriend,” Chloé said gleefully.

“Wanna bet nudie Queen?” Marinette asked, once again scanning the blonde’s bare body up and down.

“Oooh a date, maybe after I see how you fuck this one up!” Chloé shifted in her seat, Marinette giggled, Chloé really was hot when she swore.

Scene: Movie Theater. Marinette and Luka play a game where they complete the lyrics in Jagged Stone's songs.

Luka: "You are?.." "You are?.."

Marinette: (entering the movie theater) Is it "you are the popcorn of my life"?

Luka: (hands tickets over counter) Nope. It was "the donut of my life".

Marinette: Of course! "The donut", featured on the "Candy Apple" album! His food phase, my favorite! Two points for you.

Luka: (to the snack attendant) Two orange juices please. (takes the cups) Thank you. (to Marinette) I got another one: "I gave up everything..."

Marinette: "... but my dreams!"

Luka: Nice! Another point for you.

Marinette: (taking their seats as they continue their game) I got one: "my guitar..."

Luka: "... is my only family", featured on the "Alone on the Road" live concert. I love that song.

Marinette: (impressed) Whoa, twenty points to twelve. Luka Couffaine, you're officially Jagged Stone's number one fan! (nervously) And uh.. you uh.. (pulling out a small pink box from her purse) you win a prize.

Luka: (smiling, takes and opens the gift) Whoa!

Marinette: Jagged came by the bakery the other day, so I asked him to sign it for you.

Luka: The rules are clear, Marinette. This gift entitles you to a second round. "Under the moonlight, by the sea..."

Marinette: "Under the moonlight, by the sea..." Oh, it's on the tip of my tongue! (excitedly) I know! His very first song! "Under the moonlight, by the sea, KISS ME!" (theater goers look towards Marinette, confused. She giggles nervously, embarrassed)

Luka: Okay, I mean, if you want to.

Marinette: I do... want to. (both leaning in for a kiss but interrupted by a loud thud)

Luka: What was that?

Marinette: (stands up suddenly, making up an excuse) Uh, probably the subway. It passes under the theater. I'm so thirsty all the sudden, I'm gonna go get some water. (leaves)

Luka and Marinette looked awkwardly at one another. “You know you can just cancel a date if you’re too busy,” Luka said.

Marinette giggled nervously.

Scene: Restroom at the Movie Theater.

Tikki: (Marinette shuts bathroom stall door) You're gonna leave Luka there all alone?

Marinette: What would I say? "Be right back, Luka, gotta go fight some bad guys" or "Gotta go Luka, by the way, I'm Ladybug"? Now that I'm the Guardian, I have to keep my identity a secret more than ever. Tikki, spots on!

“Maybe, ‘hey Luka I’m not feeling well. Maybe we can do this again when I feel better’?” Younger!Alix quipped.

“Man your excuses get really sloppy by this point,” Alya agreed.

Marinette wept.

Scene: Ladybug yoyos to Montparnasse Tower. She sees Mr. Pigeon and checks her voicemail.

Cat Noir: (on voicemail) Hey you, Bugaboo! Well, here I am, your faithful companion at our rendezvous point just like always. It's time for our daily patrol, I hope you haven't forgotten! (sneaking up behind Ladybug while she is completely distracted) Buga-Boo! (Ladybug reflexively throws him) Waaah!

Ladybug: (realizing) Cat Noir? (catches his leg with her yoyo)

Cat Noir: Wah! (slams into the window of the tower, cracking it) Oof!

Woman inside building: (conversation interrupted)

Ladybug: Will you cut it out with the practical jokes? I could have really hurt you!

Cat Noir: (answering while hanging by the yo-yo) M'lady, the only thing that really hurts me is when you make me go on patrol by myself. (sighs, relaxing his posture) I even missed your little angry pout.

“Boundaries, learn about them,” Félix told his cousin.

“Says the guy who tried to kiss Marinette without her permission pretending to be me!” Adrien pointed out defensively.

Félix sipped his tea. “Touché.”

Ladybug: Sorry, Kitty Cat, I'm a bit over my head at the moment. (pulling him up)

Cat Noir: I bet! "Guardian of the Miraculous", big name, big responsibility!

Ladybug: (helping him up) I promise, I won't ever forget our patrols again. (Cat Noir winks at her, both head to defeat the villain)

Cat Noir: Woohoo!

Scene: Movie Theater. Credits roll for the movie as Luka looks to Marinette's chair and sighs. Just then she runs back to her seat.

Marinette: (trying to act normal) Phew, there was a huge line at the water fountain, so I went out to buy bottles at the corner market but then there was an akuma alert. We were stuck in the store and they wouldn't let us out. Good thing Ladybug saved everyone! (sighs, content but then the screen goes dark as lights come back on) Oh no, is it over already? (Luka gives her an understanding smile)

“You could’ve called a bomb threat, and it would’ve been more believable than this,” Younger!Alix sniffed.

Marinette was puzzled. “I thought I’d be over the lame excuses by now.”

Scene: Marinette and Luka get ice cream from André.

Marinette: (seeing Lollipop Boy) Uh, the ice cream is gonna melt, we need napkins. I'll be quick! (hands him the ice cream and runs off. Luka stares down at it disappointedly)

Scene: In front of Collège Françoise Dupont, Marinette waves to Alya, Nino, and Adrien before getting on Luka's bike

Alya: Bye!

Adrien: (receives message from Kagami) Bye guys! (hurries to car waiting for him)

Marinette: (sees an akuma) Luka, stop! (gets off bike, handing him her helmet) Sorry, I just remembered that I promised I would help a friend! I'll call you later! (disappears into the subway entrance, reappears on the other side as Ladybug)

“Maybe we’re just not meant for each other,” Luka told Marinette.

“Just friends?” Marinette asked, holding her fist out.

“Just friends,” Luka agreed. “I know you don’t really love me, but be honest.”

Marinette nodded. “I’m sorry.”

“Remember, it hasn’t happened yet,” Kagami pointed out, making the two feel better.

Scene: Kitty Section performing in front of a small gathering of friends on the Liberty

Luka: I'd like to dedicate this song to Marinette, a girl… (looks around, realizing Marinette is not there, dejectedly) who's not here as usual.

Rose: ♫ I love unicorns! I love unicorns! And cute little fluffy cats! ♫ (Luka playing his guitar solemnly. Marinette then arrives, takes a seat, and waves. He notices but doesn't acknowledge)

Scene: Under a bridge. Luka stops Marinette as they go on a walk.

Marinette: I'm sorry about earlier. There were mosquitoes on the boat, I thought we needed some insect repellent but the drug store was closed so I had to-

-

The two Alixes groaned, casually writing down more idiotic excuses Marinette was making.

Luka: Shh, listen, the song of the water. If you listen carefully at this very spot under the bridge, you'll hear a melody. (They listen to the river and smile at each other.) You know, I never knew my father and my mom would never bring herself to tell me. So when I just couldn't deal with it all, I would take refuge here and the melody of the water would console me. What about you, Marinette? Where do you go when you disappear?

Marinette: Uh-

Luka: You tell me, I'll accept it. If you're still in love with Adrien, I'll understand. I won't be jealous you know.

“If you were competing against me, you’d have something to be jealous of!” Chloé snarled to Luka.

“And what would that be? The bare necessities?” Luka asked, noticing that Chloé threw her hands out so Luka could see everything. She furiously covered up again. “Seriously though,” he continued, “I have a long fuse, but I think even I’d get a little annoyed by this point, she’s literally ducking me!”

“Sorry,” Marinette said in a low, mouse-like tone.

“Hasn’t happened yet,” Younger!Alix retorted.

Marinette: That's not it, not at all.

Luka: Whatever it is, I just want it to be the honest truth.

Marinette: The truth, Luka... is the only thing I can't tell you.

(This word hits Luka so much that he suddenly feels heartbroken, upset and betrayed.)

Scene: Shadow Moth's lair. Shadow Moth senses Luka's sadness.

Shadow Moth: Is there betrayal worse than the lies of the one you love? (He takes a feather from his fan, evillizes it into an amok. A butterfly lands in his other hand which he evilizes into an akuma.) Fly away my evil akuma, fly my beautiful amok, and rewrite the song of this heartbroken boy!

Scene: Under the bridge. Luka, still upset, looks down and closes his eyes, very rejected as the akuma and amok fly into his guitar pick necklace.

Shadow Moth: Truth, I am Shadow Moth. I'm giving you the power to force people to tell you their most sacred secrets.

Luka: (struggling against it) Truth needs to be shared, not taken by force, Shadow Moth!

Marinette: (shocked what he just said) Uh! Shadow Moth? No! Luka, please resist. I am so sorry!

“Seriously, how did I not see that one coming?” Marinette said, narrowing her eyes and feeling irked.

Shadow Moth: Why should you resist when she doesn't trust you?

Luka: Marinette does trust me!

Marinette: I do! Of course I do!

Shadow Moth: If she trusted you, then she would tell you the truth! (Upon hearing this, Luka becomes shocked, so he kneels.) Accept my power and you will know everything. And all I ask of you in return is to expose Ladybug and Cat Noir's little secrets.

Luka: (succumbing) Run, Marinette! (As he succumbs, a purple ether appears and covers him. Marinette, horrified that Luka is akumatized, she runs away. Luka transforms into Truth by the akuma. He now wears black and blue bodysuit with three eyes, and now he is determined to find out Marinette's secrets.)

Shadow Moth: (creates a Sentimonster) In addition to your power, you will be aided by Lighteye. (Lighteye is giant angry eye ball sentimonster) This sentimonster will be under your control. (Lighteye is created by the amok) It's time to expose the truth.

“Man, that thing is hideous!” Younger!Alix called out, stuffing her face full of popcorn.

Scene: The streets. Marinette hides to transform.

[Transformation Sequence]

Marinette: (unhappily) Tikki, spots on! Ah!

Scene: The Liberty. Alya and everyone else are leaving.

Alya: Bye guys, see ya. (Lighteye immobilizes her) Oh... (Truth shoots his beam at Alya)

Truth: Tell me the truth! What is Marinette's secret!

Alya: She is... in love with Adrien Agreste.

Truth: (already knows it; annoyed) That's not a secret! (Lighteye lets Alya go and immobilizes Mylène. Truth then shoots his beam at her.) Tell me the truth! What is Marinette's secret?

Mylène: Marinette is in love with Adrien Agreste.

Truth: (determined) She must have another secret!

“I’d have told you that without the eye!” Alya rasped to Luka. “You could not have been this oblivious!”

Older!Alix snorted. “Oh, we’ll get to you in a bit, missy!”

Ladybug: (leaving a message on her yo-yo) Cat Noir, Hawk Moth's merged his powers with the Peacock to become Shadow Moth. He's created a supervillain and a sentimonster at the same time. I need you out here!

Rose: (Truth walks towards Rose) Marinette doesn't have any secrets because she's the most honest girl in the whole world. (before Rose can be immobilized, Juleka protects her and is immobilized instead. Truth shoots his beam at her)

Truth: What is Marinette's secret?

Juleka: She loves Adrien, I guess.

“Wow! Thanks for shielding me in the future, Juleka!” Rose squealed.

“A lot of good it did,” Chloé sneered, once again unintentionally exposing herself.

“Seriously, at this point just put your hands down,” an unamused Félix said, not even looking her way.

Ladybug: I'm the one waiting for you this time! (confronts Truth) Enough! (Truth starts shooting his beams at Ladybug. She dodges them but notices the guitar pick necklace) Luka? (gets immobilized by Lighteye and hit by Truth's beam)

Truth: Now, you must tell the truth to anyone who asks you a question. I'll do the honors. Who are you, Ladybug?

Shadow Moth: I'll finally find out Ladybug's true identity!

Ladybug: I... am...

Cat Noir: (interrupts and pushes Ladybug into the water with him in order to not let Ladybug tell him her real identity) A super swimmer!

Shadow Moth: (impatiently) Pull them out, Truth! Pull them out now!

Truth: I must know Ladybug's secret identity!

Anarka: (notices Truth) Hey! what are you doing on my ship, pirate? (gets immobilized by Lighteye and struck by Truth's beam)

Truth: It's time to tell me the truth, Mom! Who is my father?

Anarka: Luka, your father is... Jagged Stone.

Truth: (shocked) I want the truth! Who is really my father?

Anarka: Jagged Stone.

Truth: (flabbergasted) Sorry, Shadow Moth, but that truth can't be put on hold! (jumps away)

“Really? Nah, who would’ve guessed?” Younger!Alix said sarcastically.

Scene: Cat Noir helps Ladybug out of the water.

Cat Noir: (noticing Ladybug is nervous about being compelled to tell the truth) Don't worry, I'll never claw a secret out of you, M'lady. (Ladybug relaxes and points to his belt.) Uh? (He gives it to her and she wraps it over her mouth, thus gagging herself.)

Ladybug: (muffled) Mhmm! (thumbs up)

“Do you even know where that thing’s been?” Older!Alix gagged. Marinette, processing her answer, soon gagged as well.

Scene: Le Grand Paris rooftop. Truth confronts Jagged Stone as he rehearses a song.

Jagged Stone: ♫ Oh Prince Ali you're one year older but to us you're still a real rock and roller ♫- (Gets immobilized by Lighteye) Hey! Easy on the spotlight buddy, it's only a rehearsal.

Truth: I am not your buddy. I'm here to find out if I'm your son.

Jagged: Uh, depends on who you are.

“Raise your hand if you’re a bastard kid of Jagged,” Older!Alix said. Only Luka and Juleka did. “Thank, God!” She said.

Cat Noir: Hey, I wanna play too. Truth or dare?

Ladybug: (muffled) Mmhm.

Truth: Truth and dare. Lighteye, freeze Ladybug and Cat Noir! (Lighteye distracts Ladybug and Cat Noir so Truth can talk) My name is Luka Couffaine and I have the right to know the truth! (shoots his beam at Jagged Stone) Are you or are you not my father?!

Jagged: Luka Couffaine? Yes, I am your father.

(Truth becomes stricken with so much shock to hear that the most famous rock guitar player was his father this entire time and he didn't notice. Ladybug and Cat Noir are shocked as well.)

Ladybug: (muffled) Mmm?!

(Cat Noir gasps)

“Okay, fucking seriously, it could not have been that hard to figure out!” Older!Alix shouted.

Adrien sighed. “I wish he were my father.”

“Hey!” Gabriel shouted from the back.

Truth: (shocked and upset) Why would you hide this from me and why did you abandon me?!

Jagged: I was too lame to take care of a kid. I'm sorry, son, but I spent my whole life on tour. I live in hotels with a crocodile. I could never be the father you'd need me to be. Besides, it made for a super cool song! Have you heard "My guitar is my only family"?

Truth: Why don't you write a song about THIS?! (Still angry that Jagged left him, in his rage, Truth tosses Jagged into an alleyway; Ladybug and Cat Noir leap after him)

Shadow Moth: Follow them!

Truth: Sorry Shadow Moth, I still have one last truth to uncover.

Shadow Moth: (annoyed) How can I be sure that it's really the last one?

Truth: Because I always tell the truth!

Older!Alix just lightly banged her head on the wall. Younger!Alix patted her shoulder.

Scene: Alleyway. Ladybug uses her yo-yo to save Jagged Stone.

Jagged: Woohoo! My son is out of sight!

(Lighteye almost catches sight of the heroes, but they hide, so the sentimonster moves on)

Cat Noir: Now you stay out of sight while we deakumatize him. (jumps)

Ladybug: (muffled) hmm! (jumps)

Cat Noir: (attempting to get Lighteye's attention) Yoohoo!

Scene: Dupain-Cheng living room. Sabine and Tom are interrupted by Truth while playing a video game.

Truth: (shoots his beam at Tom) What is Marinette's secret?

Tom: She's in love with Adrien Agreste.

Truth: Not that secret! '(shoots his beam at Sabine) Does she keep a diary?

Sabine: Yes, she hides it in her room.

Truth: Perfect. That should hold all her secrets.

“Tell that to my hand,” Sabrina said, holding her left hand up and recalling the time Chloé made her steal Marinette’s diary.

(Tom attempts to block him from going up the stairs, but he is unsuccessful)

Truth: (realizing Lighteye has spotted "Ladybug" and "Cat Noir") Good job Lighteye, stay where you are, I'll be there soon.

Scene: Ladybug and Cat Noir from behind a bush, watch Lighteye fall for the decoy they set up.

Cat Noir: Your idea was "spots on", Bugaboo!

Ladybug: (muffled) Mhmm.

Scene: Marinette's room. Truth searches for Marinette's diary, rummaging through her things. Barkk notices this and heads back inside the cabinet with the other kwamis.

Barkk: (panics) He's gonna find the Miracle Box, Hawk Moth will capture all of us and it'll be the end of the world!

Xuppu: (determined) Not if I can help it! (attempts to leave cabinet and use the power)

Wayzz: (stops Xuppu) Wait, you know your magical force is too powerful without a keeper to control it! Remember when Plagg sunk Atlantis?

Ziggy: (worried) So we have a choice between the end of the world and the end of the world?!

“Gabriel, you are an unexceptional villain to allow him to take this long!” Audrey bellowed.

“It’s okay Gabe, watching you fail like this is funny, huh?” Harry said, hugging his friend affectionately. Audrey tries to join, but Harry shoots a glare. “Back off, sister.”

Scene: Marinette's room. After rummaging, Truth then turns to the cabinet the kwamis are currently hiding and approaches it. The kwamis gasp in shock.

Truth: (about to open cabinet containing the Miracle Box but is stopped by Ladybug's yo-yo wrapping around his wrist) Lighteye, come back. Now!

Ladybug: (muffled) Mmm hmm! (motioning to the akumatized object)

Cat Noir: Hmm? (understanding what Ladybug meant) That's the akumatized object! Got it! Cataclysm!

Ladybug: (muffled, thrown into trunk by Truth) Mmmm!

Cat Noir: M'lady whenever you're ready you can call up your Lucky Charm!

Ladybug: (muffled, pointing out she's still gagged) Mmhmmm!

Cat Noir: Take it off. I have a plan! (Ladybug takes the belt off her mouth)

“Why am I not trying to get Chat’s identity?” Luka lamented.

“I am kinda forgettable,” Adrien answered.

Truth: Ladybug, tell us what's your-

Cat Noir: (trips Truth) Top three favorite qualities in Cat Noir!

Ladybug: I have to say it's his courage, his self-confidence, but really the quality I like most in Cat Noir is his humor.

Cat Noir: So you're saying you actually like it when I clown around?

Ladybug: Yes, and I couldn't do without it today!

Truth: Ladybug, under your mask, what do you- (knocked over by Cat Noir)

Cat Noir: Use when all seems lost? (winks at her)

Ladybug: My Lucky Charm! (receives a box of aluminum foil). Before she could use her Lucky Vision, she gets interrupted by Light-Eye breaking in from behind her. She sees Cat Noir get immobilized and hit by Truth's beam) Cat Noir!

Truth: Cat Noir, tell me what- (interupted by Ladybug throwing a present at Truth)

Ladybug: (covering her parasol with foil) ...do you think about my new role as guardian!

“You handed them this fight,” Kagami said stoically.

-

Cat Noir: If it doesn't change things between us, then I'm good with it!

(Ladybug finally uses her Lucky Vision and spots Lighteye, a parasol, and the box of aluminum foil that she's holding. She grabs the parasol and wraps the aluminum foil around it as she pulls Lighteye to Cat Noir and cataclysms it. Lighteye starts to move uncontrollably around the room.)

Truth: Lighteye, stop!

(Ladybug attaches her yo-yo to Lighteye, and aims it at the parasol, which reflects its beam back to Truth. Ladybug throws her yo-yo at Truth's necklace, freeing the akuma and amok.)

Ladybug: No more evil doing for you little akuma! Time to de-evilize! (captures akuma and amok and purifies them) Gotcha! (Releases the now purified butterfly and feather) Good-bye! Miraculous Ladybug! (Throws the Lucky Charm into the air, and it explodes into a blast of energy. It turns everything back to normal, everyone's lips are now normal, the broken wall in Marinette's room is fixed, and Truth turns back into Luka)

Luka: What am I doing... in Marinette's room?

Scene: Shadow Moth's lair

Shadow Moth: Thanks to my new powers, truth is underway, Ladybug, and nothing will stop it!

“Are they? My first upgraded akuma and it went defiant on me,” Gabriel lamented. Harry patted him on the back.

“If you keep sulking, I’m just gonna have to kiss you, huh?” Gabriel then kissed him instead, worried that he may not get another chance to do so.

“So, romantic…” Rose sighed dreamily. Adrien on the other hand retched.

“Hey! You’re not a homophobe are you?!” Nathaniel asked curtly.

“Gay or not, no one likes to watch their folks kiss,” Adrien said.

“Can’t argue with that,” Marc agreed.

Scene: Random rooftop during the night.

Cat Noir: Woo hoo! (sighs) M'lady, it's been awhile since I've had that much fun.

Ladybug: If battling a supervillain with three eyes and a giant monster buddy is your idea of fun, I can't imagine what your other days are like.

Cat Noir: A baddie, a sentimonster, and Shadow Moth. It's even more exciting with his new name, don't you think?

Ladybug: He can change his name as often as he likes. He'll still never win.

Older!Alix cackles knowingly at what Ladybug does in the Season 5 finale before letting out a content sigh. Marinette grew nervous seeing this.

Cat Noir: You can count on me and my jokes, Bugaboo.

Ladybug: Well... you don't have to overdo it.

Cat Noir: Truth is, I only ever have this much fun with you. Catch you later! (vaults away) Wee!

Scene: Under the bridge. Marinette breaks up with Luka.

Marinette: I don't want to lie to you Luka. I don't think I can- I mean... maybe we should... (Luka hugs Marinette)

Luka: When you're ready, I'll be here, Marinette. (Marinette leans her head on Luka's shoulder and closes her eyes.)

“And this is why we’re never getting together,” Luka declared.

“Agreed!” Marinette said.

Scene: Jagged comes to see Luka outside the Liberty and hugs him.

 Jagged: If there's one thing I can do, son, it's taking emotions and turning 'em into great songs! Should we write one together? (Luka nods; Jagged smiles)

“I had a girlfriend, she ghosted me and dumped me, but I got a new dad so it evens out,” Luka murmured in a derpy voice.

-

Scene: Marinette's room. Marinette starts crying

Marinette: (sobbing in despair) As long as Shadow Moth is a threat to the people I love, I can't have a boyfriend. It's too dangerous. (starts crying)

(Fluff, Daizzi, Kaalki and Trixx approach her)

Kaalki: What is that strange liquid running from her eyes?

Trixx: It's tears. That's so sad!

Daizzi: Are we supposed to do something?

Marinette: (moans) Just give me a hug. (The kwamis hug Marinette to comfort her.)

(The end card shows Luka hugging Jagged Stone in the center, Ladybug and Cat Noir, surrounded by kwamis, running towards right and left respectively with their respective weapons and Shadow Moth in the background.)

“Okay… let’s take a break.” Older!Alix said, trying to process all of this. “Part 1 of 2, mini-me since you’re the one who’s gonna need to know all this stuff I think you should be the one to rate this akuma.”

“Oooh! Judge it’s powers!” Kim said eagerly.

“And it’s style,” Chloé added.

“Maybe how effective the akuma was?” Marinette added in.

Younger!Alix put a hand to her chin.

“I’d say it was a pretty cool power, it did its job of getting the truth out but other people being able to ask it to tell them is a design flaw and a pretty bad one. 8 for that. The design is actually kinda cool, and the eye does look pretty scary so 10 there, and it was pretty effective if Gabe wasn’t an idiot so 10 there too.” (28/30)

“Okay, now we move on to Part 2: ‘Lies’!” Older!Alix said. She gazed towards Adrien. “You… are an even bigger idiot than Marinette.” She then turned to Kagami. “And you? For someone so perceptive and smart the fact that you never picked up on what’s about to come is just sad.”

Adrien and Kagami shift uncomfortably, dreading what they’re about to see.

Alix played the episode.

Scene: Marinette's room. Marinette is frustrated that she can't figure out a riddle in the Miraculous spellbook.
Marinette: Tikki, I'm so confused! These riddles Master Fu translated are too cryptic.
Tikki: Their meanings are hidden on purpose, to protect the secret of our magic powers.
Marinette: Yeah but what good does it do if even the Guardian of the Miraculous, can't figure them out?

“Wow, he really did leave me with jack to go on,” Marinette rasped, “I feel duped.”

Tikki: Master Fu had trouble too with the first ones and remember, you were the one who helped him with the aqua power!
Marinette: (stands up, determined) You're right, I'm gonna figure this out! (Xuppu and Mullo grab an apple)
Tikki: (to Xuppu and Mullo) What are you doing? (They drop the apple on the keyboard, turning on the news)
Nadja: (on computer) The city of Paris is getting ready to celebrate the famous Prince Ali's birthday— (Xuppu and Mullo step on keys of the keyboard while struggling to move the apple and turn it to another news segment)
Alec: (on computer) This special report on the fascinating life of Adrien Agreste!
Marinette: (Marinette stops what she's doing and watches dreamily) Adrien…

“Oh come on, I’m the guardian! I should be focusing more on that, not him!” Marinette yelled before turning to Adrien. “No offense.”

“No, I’m with you,” Adrien agreed, “maybe I lucked out not getting the box.”

Scene: News segment on Adrien's life
Alec: We were able to spend the entire day with this famous, young model! (Adrien yawns while posing for a wax statue)
Vincent: (taking pictures of Adrien while he poses) Perfect! Just-a Stunning! Mwah! I need a smile more al dente! Haha!
Adrien: (performing on stage. Talking with a pencil in his mouth) How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Sarah: (judging Adrien) Not bad but could you do it for me with a bit more… orange? (Adrien laughs awkwardly)

Scene: Marinette's room
Marinette: (sighs and smiles) What a fascinating life.

“I was really in love with that?” Marinette said, her brow furrowing.

“Wow, and you wonder why I keep him to myself,” Chloé snarked, her arms still over her nude form.

“I can handle myself, Chloé.” Adrien insisted.

Scene: Adrien's room.
Adrien: (sighs) What a boring day.
Plagg: Without even a lunch break. Ridiculous!
Adrien: (plays piano music from his phone to make it seem like he's practicing) Finally! Free at last! Plagg, claws out!
Plagg: (holding a piece of Camembert) What? Oh no! (gets sucked into the ring)

Scene: Cat Noir on patrol, waiting for Ladybug.
Cat Noir: (using his staff to travel) Haha, Woohoo! Haha! (looks around) Bugaboo? (checks his phone)
Ladybug: (voicemail) Hi! It's Ladybug, leave a message!
Cat Noir: (leaving message) Hey, Bugaboo. Well here I am, your faithful companion at our rendezvous point just like always. It's time for our daily patrol, I hope you haven't forgotten. (waits awhile for Ladybug to show but she never does)
Plagg: (from phone) No messages. Don't forget my cheese!
Cat Noir: What could she be doing?
Ladybug: (voicemail) Hi! It's Ladybug, leave a message!
Cat Noir: (leaving another message for Ladybug, discouraged) Maybe it's because now since you're Guardian of the Miraculous, (finger quotes) you've got all sorts of more important things to do (tries to cheer up) but hey, no biggie. I'm just the Cat for this job. I'll start without you. Hope to meet up with you later. Let me know. (looks disappointed again but starts his patrol)
Citizens: (see Cat Noir and excitedly call for him) Cat Noir! Cat Noir! Cat Noir!
Cat Noir: Time for some action, finally! (goes down to see them, gets into a fighting stance)
Citizens: Cat Noir! Oh my gosh. (three kids crowd around him, take a photo, then leave) Oh wow. Thank you Cat Noir.
Cat Noir: (unenthusiastically) At your service. (checking for a message again)
Plagg: (from phone, annoyed) No messages. Don't forget my cheese!

Scene: Place des Vosges. Cat Noir sitting on a bench with Mr. Ramier and Mr. Banana.
Cat Noir: So Mr. Banana, life's peachy huh? Peachy, banana, get it? (Mr. Banana doesn't respond) Forget it. So Mr. Ramier, it's been awhile since you were akumatized right? Don't ya kind of miss being Mr. Pigeon? You haven't been feeling a bit depressed or desperate or angry? Annoyed maybe? Not even a little perturbed?
Mr. Ramier: Thank you for asking Cat Noir but I am in the best of spirits, really!
Cat Noir: Well I guess I'm out of here then. (gets up and slowly walks away, feeling low)
Mr. Ramier: (waves) Say hello to the lovely Ladybug for me!
Cat Noir: Sure thing… if I ever see her…
Plagg: (from phone, more annoyed) No messages. Don't forget my cheese!

Scene: Le Grand Paris Hotel. Cat Noir drinking milk while watching Chloé berate Sabrina.
Armand: (placing glass on a coaster) A glass of milk as usual, Mr. Cat Noir?
Cat Noir: (nods head weakly) Mhm
Armand: How is Ms. Ladybug? (starts pouring milk into glass) I haven't seen her for a while?
Cat Noir: (takes the milk and downs it) It's… been a little quiet recently.
Chloé: (angry, yelling at Sabrina) That purse was my life Sabrina! And you, you have gone and lost it! You are forbidden to speak to me ever again!
Sabrina: But Chloé— (trying to point to the purse that Chloé has on her)
Chloé: Shh, No talking! Zip it!
Sabrina: But—
Chloé: Shh!
Sabrina: But—
Chloé: (puts her finger over Sabrina's mouth) Zip it! And don't even look at me either! Hands over your eyes! (Sabrina gasps, upset, and uses her hands to cover her eyes)
Cat Noir: (hopeful) Something tells me an akuma is going to show up!
Chloé: Hmm? (notices she's wearing her purse) Oh my purse! (to Sabrina) You dingbat! (hits Sabrina with the purse) You could have told me that I was wearing it!
Sabrina: (attempts to explain) But I wasn't allowed to speak to you—
Chloé: (interrupts) And you still aren't.
Sabrina: Uh—
Chloé: Shh! (walks away, Sabrina follows her)
Cat Noir: (sighs, disappointed. Turns back to counter) Make that (pushes empty glass towards Jean) a large milk pal. (Jean gets out a pitcher and fills it with milk)

“Note to dumbass, waiting for akumas is not the way to get Ladybug’s attention,” Younger!Alix said.

Adrien rolled his eyes. “How else was I gonna get to see her?”

“Oh if only you knew,” Alya whimsically pointed out.

Sabrina watching the scene giggled. “At least you can all thank me for getting Chloé naked for you.”

“Thank you, Sabrina,” Marinette said to the redhead while gazing coquettishly at Chloé.

“Pervert,” Chloé muttered, fighting the smile on her face at Marinette’s attention.

Plagg: (from phone, frustrated) No messages. Don't forget my— (Cat Noir clicks away before he finishes)
Ladybug: (voicemail) Hi! It's Ladybug, leave a message!
Cat Noir: (leaving another message for Ladybug, slightly annoyed) Hi again, Bugaboo. Guess who this is. Give up? It's the guy you stood up— (stops abruptly upon hearing Kagami)

“Really dude,” Older!Alix said, shooting a disapproving glare at Adrien. Marinette matched the glare, equally annoyed.

Kagami: Yes, never let yourself be weak, mother. I know that lesson well.
Cat Noir: Huh? (observes the practice from the roof)
Tomoe: And never be—
Kagami: Taken by surprise.
Tomoe: (aggressively attacking with her bokken) Don't apply these principles to fencing, you'll never be as good as Adrien Agreste!

“I heard that!” Audrey shouted.

Zoé sat on Kagami’s lap. “Wanna talk about it?”

Plagg: (over a picture of Adrien's fencing class where Kagami stands out in her red uniform) So your favorite cheese is missing from the plate and it's as if the others don't exist? Try another type, you might be surprised how much you like it!

Scene: Both Kagami and Adrien in their cars, headed to Collège Françoise Dupont for their fencing practice.
Tomoe: (on phone, speaking to Kagami) All these scheduling changes requested by the Agrestes are annoying. But you can use it to fit in another hour of Russian.
Kagami: (weakly) Yes, mother.
Gabriel: All these scheduling changes requested by the Tsurugi are annoying. When you get home, make sure you try on the outfit I've just completed for your next photoshoot.

Scene: Adrien and Kagami enter School. Fred Haprèle is confused to see them.

“You could’ve taken lessons with us,” Nathaniel said, gesturing to himself and Marc.

“I was too focused on Adrien,” Kagami replied.

“No, but we all have clothes,” Adrien replied snarkily, causing the crowd to all laugh and Chloé even joined albeit shrilly.

Kagami: (takes his hand and directs him to the platform in the room) Pose for me, I want to sketch you.

Kagami: (crumples paper and tosses it in the trash) Try a different pose. It should be easy to do a beautiful sketch of you because you're so handsome but what I want is to capture the real you inside. (Adrien tries another pose. Kagami starts drawing but stops) No, still not good. Change again (throws it away and Adrien attempts another pose) These are all modeling poses! (throws another away) Try something that's more natural, more you.
Adrien: Hmm, what about MEOW! (strikes Cat Noir pose, Kagami looks unimpressed) Uhh… (awkwardly) I mean now? (laughs nervously)
Kagami: No, you're not at all natural.
Adrien: (earnestly) Yes, I am. I promise, this is me!
Kagami: NO! (stands up, slamming sketchpad on table) That's you when you're being silly!
Adrien: (conflicted) What if when I'm being silly, I'm really me?
Kagami: (Kagami stares then walks towards Adrien. She takes his hand and moves it to his chest then pushes him back to the wall) There. This is really you.

Adrien: (checks his phone. Kagami does the same) Now it's really time for our fencing class. (Both he and Kagami smile)

“Okay, red flag!” Older!Alix called. “You’re more assertive and certain of yourself, but you’re just as bad as Marinette when it comes to idealizing people.”

Kagami and Marinette droop their heads and sigh.

“We really need to stop doing that,” Marinette lamented.

Mr. D'Argencourt: En garde! Prèt, allez!
Kagami: (they fence, then Kagami takes off her mask and kisses Adrien's) Touché.
Adrien: (Adrien takes off his mask and tries to kiss her) En garde. (sees Ladybug pass the school, chasing Mr. Pigeon's pigeon plane) Uh… sorry. (backing away) I forgot something in the locker room… (he leaves and Kagami gives a small smile)

Scene: From "Truth" — Montparnasse Tower. Cat Noir sneaks up on Ladybug.
Cat Noir: (Ladybug listening to Cat Noir's message on her phone) —Just like always. It's time for our weekly patrol. I hope you haven't forgotten! (sneaking up behind Ladybug while she is completely distracted) Buga-Boo! (Ladybug reflexively throws him) waaah!
Ladybug: Hi-ya! (realizing) Cat Noir? (catches his leg with her yoyo)
Cat Noir: Wah! (slams into the window of the tower, cracking it) Oof!
Ladybug: Will you cut it out with your practical jokes? I could have really hurt you.
Cat Noir: (answering while hanging by the yoyo) M'lady, the only thing that really hurts me is when you make me go on patrol by myself. (sighs, relaxing his posture) I even missed your little angry pout.

Scene: Luka leaves André's ice cream stand after the events of "Truth". Adrien meets Kagami there to get ice cream.
Adrien: (runs to meet Kagami) Kagami! (Takes ice cream but sees Ladybug fighting Lollipop Boy so he gives it to Kagami) I gotta get going my father's probably worried. (leaves, Kagami looks down, disappointed)

“Something I didn’t point out last time, recycled villains!” Younger!Alix noted, glaring to Gabriel. “Are you just that creatively bankrupt? This is the kind of thing Saturday morning cartoons do!”

“I still have to come up with them,” Gabriel said.

“And yet you akumatize a baby, more than once no less.” Older!Alix added.

Scene: From "Truth" — In front of Françoise Dupont. Adrien receives message from Kagami.
Adrien: (to his classmates) Bye guys! (Adrien gets into his car, Kagami's pulls up beside it. They roll down their windows and attempt to kiss but he sees Ladybug) Uh… forgot something in my classroom, (opens car door and runs back inside) call ya later!
Kagami: (frustrated, sighs) Tatsu, let's go!
Cat Noir: (appears from the roof, launches himself with his staff) Wee!

Scene: The Liberty. Adrien and the rest of Kitty Section perform the end of the song they started in "Truth".
Rose: (Finishing a song) Yeah!
Marinette, Nino, Alya: (Stand up, cheering. Kagami claps) Yeah! Woohoo!
Nino: (runs over to Adrien, showing him his phone) I got it all on video dude! You guys were awesome!
Adrien: (critical of himself) I wasn't Nino. I messed up the intro.

Kagami banged her head against her hand. “I shouldn’t have been so demanding! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!” Zoé stopped her.

“It’s okay, you’re learning,” she said soothingly.

Scene: Just outside the Liberty, both wait to be picked up while Kagami tries to talk to Adrien.
Adrien: Our cars aren't here yet. That's too bad; we could have played the song again.
Kagami: But this way we have a little time together.
Adrien: (not understanding) We'll have plenty of time together when we go to Prince Ali's birthday.
Kagami: Together (takes his hand) just the two of us, I mean. I'm so happy when I'm with you. (Adrien sees Ladybug and gets distracted) I have a feeling we're a lot alike. Do you feel the same way? Do you also- (realizes Adrien isn't paying attention, turns around to see what he was looking at) Huh?
Adrien: Sorry, I thought I saw a wasp.

Kagami: (car pulls up and Kagami gets in, upset) Tatsu, take me to the city hall.

Ladybug: (from message) Cat Noir, Hawk Moth's merged his powers with the Peacock to become Shadow Moth. He's created a supervillian and a sentimonster at the same time. I need you out here!
Truth: Now you must tell the truth to anyone who asks you a question, I'll do the honors. Who are you Ladybug?

Cat Noir: (interrupts and pushes Ladybug into the water) A super swimmer!

Scene: Hôtel de Ville. Kagami arrives at Prince Ali's birthday party.
André: (shaking hands with Prince Ali) Dear Prince Ali, on behalf of the city of Paris we all wish you a very happy birthday.
Tomoe: (somehow notices Kagami walk up beside her) Didn't I arrange with Gabriel Agreste that his son would accompany you here?
Kagami: Oh um… he's here mother. A journalist's interviewing him outside. I'll go and find him. (leaves room)

“How’d she notice you?” Zoé asked.

“Have you read Daredevil?” Kagami asked back.

“I’m an actress, not a comic buff!” Zoé giggled.

“I need to catch you up on all of them,” Kagami said, flickering through her phone and sending the link to Zoé.

Scene: Ladybug and Cat Noir talking after just defeating Truth.

Ladybug: (laughs) If battling a supervillian with three eyes and a giant monster buddy is your idea of fun, I can't imagine what your other days are like…
Cat Noir: A baddie, a sentimonster, and Shadow Moth. It's even more exciting with his new name don't ya think?
Ladybug: He can change his name as often as he likes, he'll still never win.
Cat Noir: You can count on me and my jokes, Bugaboo.
Ladybug: Well… you don't have to overdo it.
Cat Noir: Truth is, I only ever have this much fun with you. Catch ya later! (vaults away) Wee!

Both Alixes glared, but caught themselves. “Adrien…” Older!Alix said her tone slowly rising. “The citizens of Paris are not toys for your amusement, nor are they excuses to get into Ladybug’s pants. UNDERSTAND!?” She yelled.

Adrien nodded fearfully.

“Okay good, let’s move on,” Older!Alix smiled.

Scene: Kagami confronts Adrien outside the City Hall.
Cat Noir: Claws in. (detransforms)
Adrien: (runs to meet up with Kagami) Kagami. I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long.
Kagami: (hiding the charm behind her back) And I hope you found what you were looking for.
Adrien: Huh?
Kagami: Back at the barge.
Adrien: (nervously) Uh, the barge right. (gives thumbs up) Yeah I found it thank you.
Kagami: What was it?
Adrien: (dismissively) Oh you know just that thing, that Lucky Charm that Marinette gave me. (attempts to take it out of his pocket to show her but realizes it's not there, worried) Ah no, did I lose it?! (attempts to cover up his accidental admission) Again…
Kagami: You mean… (shows him the charm in her hand) this one? (Adrien is shocked) You know, I lied too. I lied to my mother so that we could see each other. I even lied to her when I said you came here with me tonight. I lied at every fencing lesson so we could spend more time together. You see, we're both a couple of liars. Except I lie because I want to be with you. (points at him accusingly) You lie… because you don't want to be with me.
Adrien: (outstretches his arm) Kagami!
Kagami: I'll go in first. (opens door and sighs)

“This coming from the one who pisses off Parisians on a daily basis?” Adrien replied.

Shadow Moth: One simple lie and trust crumbles to nothing. And what if in the end everything in our world is just a lie? Fly away my evil akuma and plague that deceived heart!

Scene: Inside City Hall. The akuma infects Marinette's bracelet, in Kagami's hand.
Shadow Moth: Lies, I am Shadow Moth. I bestow on you the power to rid the world of liars. All I ask in return are Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous! Do I have your word?
Kagami: Trust me, no more lies will be allowed in my new world Shadow Moth.
Adrien: (opens door, sees the akumatized bracelet) No!… (closes door; Lies starts creating a sphere) This is all my fault. I've gotta save Kagami!

[Transformation Sequence]
Adrien: Plagg, claws out!
Scene: Lies goes after people at Prince Ali's birthday party. Cat Noir shows up to stop her.

(the audience claps; Penny attempts to stop Fang from eating the guests' cakes)
Roger Raincomprix: (notices Lies' sphere) In the name of the law, what is that! (aims his taser at it)

(André hides in a corner but is paralyzed; Prince Ali tries to run away but trips; Bob Roth and XY attempts to hide behind some boxes)
Cat Noir: Kaga— (stops himself) Lies! Stop this right now!
Lies: Oh look, let's see if this new candidate can pass my lie detector test.
Cat Noir: I'm not lying when I say I'm gonna free you from that evil Shadow Moth.
Jagged: And I'm gonna help ya. Yeah!
Cat Noir: Get away, Jagged.
Jagged: I'm not afraid, I'm an artist. I'm always keeping it real with my fans.
Bob Roth: That's not true! You lie about your age! (uses the box covering XY to cover himself)
Jagged: Hey, this is not rock and roll! ("disappears, Lies starts to come closer to Cat Noir")

“So, what exactly was your plan if she found out you were lying about your intentions too?” Younger!Alix asked Gabriel.

Gabriel said nothing.

Scene: Outside City Hall. Ladybug and Cat Noir back away from the ever-growing sphere.
Cat Noir: (attempting to summon his power) Cata— (Ladybug stops him)
Ladybug: No! If you touch the sphere, you'll freeze.
Cat Noir: Not if I've always told the truth.
Ladybug: Yeah, but is that the case?
Cat Noir: Hardly. How 'bout you?
Ladybug: Of course not Kitty, we're supposed to lie. If only to keep our identities a secret. And if we touch that thing they'll be no one left to stop her from swallowing all of Paris!

“And yet, we don’t communicate with each other,” Adrien groaned.

“I’m not the one who keeps pressing for information,” Marinette retorted.

Cat Noir: Okay, so what do we do?
Ladybug: Lucky Charm! (receives a box larger than her; she opens it to reveal a camera drone with a remote) Uh..
Cat Noir: I can't wait to see what you're gonna do with a drone.
Ladybug: Okay, we can't go inside, but I doubt this machine ever lied. Which means… keep her busy while I send this spy bird inside! We'll stay in touch. (puts in earpiece)
Cat Noir: (puts in earpiece) Your wish is my command, M'Lady. And that's no lie. (teasing Lies from the top of an advertising column) Yoohoo! My name isn't Cat Noir, I'm not a superhero, I hate Ladybug, and I think Shadow Moth should have been called Peacock Moth! Way funnier! I forgot, my favorite dish is cauliflower with béchamel sauce.
Shadow Moth: Lies, catch that deceiving Cat and seize his Miraculous!
Lies: You have my word Shadow Moth. (Ladybug discovers Lies' bracelet) Liars will always have to pay in the end!
Ladybug: I know what the akumatized item is.
Cat Noir: Great, so break it!
Ladybug: How do I do that when I can't touch it?
(Ladybug, through the drone's camera, notices all the guests at Prince Ali's party paralyzed, except for Fang)
Cat Noir: You're right, only someone who's never lied can get into that sphere and do it but that doesn't exist!
(Ladybug notices Fang, four slices of cake, and the drone's remote)

Scene:Streets of Paris. Cat Noir runs across the rooftops from Lies' rapidly expanding sphere.
Ladybug: Yes, it does Cat Noir! It does exist! Fang! Jagged Stone's crocodile. He's never lied. He's an animal, he wouldn't know how!
Cat Noir: You're right!

“Marinette, you do know Fang is a predator by nature and they require cunning and trickery?” Younger!Alix said. “Animals can lie you know.”

Marinette twiddled her fingers.

Scene:Hôtel de Ville. The drone attaches its four arms to the slices of cake. It flies outside the building, chasing Fang, who has broken away from Penny's leash.
Scene:Streets of Paris. The drone and Fang pass by paralyzed Parisians. Ladybug follows it, past the Arc de Triomphe and the Montparnasse Tower.
Ladybug: It's working!
Citizens: (screaming) Ah! Help! Help!
(Lies stops at the Montparnasse Tower, which is now shorter than her sphere. Cat Noir extends his staff so he can be safe above the sphere.)
Ladybug: But if Lies sees him coming we're toast!
(Fang gobbles one of the cakes)
Cat Noir: There are only two liars left in Paris and one of them knows the ultimate way to catch her attention.
Ladybug: No way! Don't do it! What if I fail?!
Cat Noir: You know what? I trust you.
(Cat Noir detaches himself and deliberately falls into Lies' sphere)
Ladybug: Cat Noir no! You're completely crazy!
Cat Noir: Crazy about you, M'lady.
Ladybug: No, just plain crazy… reckless…

“This doesn’t impress me,” Marinette said, unamused. “You do realize if I messed up we’d have both been fucked?”

Adrien looked away, ashamed.

(Lies spots the paralyzed Cat Noir)
Shadow Moth: The moment of truth is near! Grab Cat Noir's Miraculous, then it'll be Ladybug's turn!
Ladybug: Hurry up!
(As Lies begins to take Cat Noir's ring, the drone drops the last cake near her bracelet. She screams as Fang bites it, also breaking the akumatized object)

Scene: Shadow Moth's lair.
Shadow Moth: NOOO!!!

Scene: Streets of Paris.
Ladybug: No more evil doing for you little akuma! Time to de-evilize! Gotcha! Bye bye little butterfly! Miraculous Ladybug!
(The Miraculous Cure unfreezes everyone, including Cat Noir, who reacts in fear as Fang licks him)
Citizen: Yeah!
Ladybug: (yo-yos over to Cat Noir, frustrated) Seriously, you've got to stop doing this to me!
Cat Noir: (teasing) Yeah, but I can't resist this angry little pout of yours when you bring me back. (Ladybug's frustration subsides)
Ladybug and Cat Noir: Pound it.

Younger!Alix nonchalantly etched on her notebook more times Chat was a total simp.

Scene: An alley. Cat Noir detransforms.
Cat Noir: Claws in.
Adrien: (sighs, dreamily) Ladybug.
Plagg: Oh how romantic! I get it, even if I do love every cheese on the plate, I always come back to my favorite, Camembert. (Adrien takes out a wedge of Camembert, Plagg takes and eats it)

“Boo!” Chloé heckled.

“Watch it, nudie,” Adrien joked.

Scene: Kagami takes out her frustration on Adrien during fencing class.
Mr. D'Argencourt: En garde, prèt, allez!
Adrien: (Kagami fences very aggressively and forcefully knocks him into a pole) Ugh ah ouch!
Mr. D'Argencourt: (blocks Kagami's saber) Stop it! This is a fencing class here, not a joust. Fall out!

Scene: Locker room. Kagami breaks up with Adrien.
Adrien: I'm really sorry I hurt you Kagami. You know, all those wonderful times we had together… they weren't lies.
Kagami: I know. I know that you're hiding something but I also know that there is sincerity in you too.
Adrien: So… can we still be friends?
Kagami: How can you trust someone who's lied to you? (hands him his charm) When I'm ready to see you again, I'll let you know. (she leaves; Adrien stares down at the charm, sadly)

Scene: Ladybug and Cat Noir sitting on a ledge in view of the Effiel Tower.
Cat Noir: You know the difference between us and the rest of the world M'Lady? We can't be completely honest with each other. We keep secrets and… sometimes we have to lie.
Ladybug and Cat Noir: But we always trust each other. (they pound it)

“Okay… wow… that was bad.” Adrien said.

“Really bad,” Kagami agreed.

Younger!Alix got to ranking the akuma.

“Nothing new, it’s just a short range Lady Wifi, so I guess 6. The design is an easy 1 though, how am I supposed to take a glob of cum seriously? And the top of her head screams ‘phallic symbol’. As for effectiveness, it’s useless long range and only got Chat cause he was an idiot so 2.”

Scene: At a top of a building. Ladybug and Cat Noir land on the building after finishing a battle while the Miraculous Ladybug power is launched.
Cat Noir: Wow, you are on fire, bugaboo. We never beat villains so fast. Pound it! (Cat Noir realizes that Ladybug is acting differently) Bugaboo? Something wrong?
Ladybug: (nervously) Uh, pound it - yeah. Hey, why don't we check one more time that everything's okay in Paris? (uses her yo-yo to perch herself to the top of the building) Like, an extra patrol?
Cat Noir: You wanna tell me what's going on? You didn't even scold me when I called you bugaboo.
Ladybug: There's nothing going on, everything is super great. I just have some extra time and I really don't feel like chit-chatting.
(Cat Noir joins Ladybug into the top of the building)
Cat Noir: Then I know the perfect place when there's no talking.

“That’s your hint something is up?” Younger!Alix gestured to the screen, Adrien sunk into his seat.

Scene: At the cinema.

Cat Noir waves at them and shushes at them. The civilians smile as they return watching the movie. Cat Noir tries to place his arm around Ladybug, but Ladybug stands up, right when it happens and explodes in total fury.)
Ladybug: (to the movie; furious) Are you kidding me? Don't tell him anything, you fool!
Cat Noir: Could you keep it down, m'lady?
(Ladybug then rants on the movie, and Cat Noir listens to the rant in a shocked manner.)
Ladybug: Romantic comedies are lame anyway, and you know why? It's totally not realistic! In real-life, the girl would take forever to tell the guy she loves him without stuttering. Bla-bla-bla! So how can see she know if he loves her back? It's impossible, so then she decides she can never ever be with him, and then BAM! She falls in love with another guy, and everything is so cool. Almost too easy, no stuttering, they hold hands, they get all kissy-kissy, and then, SURPRISE! She has secrets! And him, he hates secrets, of course. So as they break up, and everyone lives un-happily ever after, the end. And that's why romantic comedies are so lame. (Ladybug gets her drink)
(Cat Noir notices the civilians' reaction to the rant and they're very upset. Fearful, Cat Noir decides to leave right away to not cause any extra issues.)
Cat Noir: (whispering) So sorry, we'll be going now. (pushes Ladybug as they leave)

Scene: Ladybug and Cat Noir leave the theater, while Ladybug continues ranting on.
Ladybug: Stay AWAY from the romantic comedy, go for heroic heroes instead. Special effects, heroes saving the world, no feelings, no questions, nobody talks because there is NOTHING to say! That is good entertainment for sure.
(Cat Noir is again shocked by the rant, while the civilians in the queue are shocked).
Cat Noir: (laughs nervously) Sorry! (runs quickly to Ladybug)

Scene: Outside the theater.
Cat Noir: Listen m'lady, I didn't get everything you said and obviously, I know nothing about your private life, but I do know what heartbreak sounds and feels like, and-
Ladybug: Heartbreak? Me? (laughs nervously) That is not it at all, everything's fine. In fact, I feel like swimming, let's go to the pool! (prepares her yo-yo to transport herself to the swimming pool)
Cat Noir: You know, if you ever want to talk about anything, I'm here for you.
Ladybug: SWIMMING! Woo-hoo!
(Ladybug goes to the pool off-screen, while Cat Noir feels unhappy about Ladybug.)

“Remember this for when Marinette suddenly develops a fear of water,” Older!Alix said.

“What? That’s insane, I’d never-”

“We’ll get to it later buggy,” Older!Alix zoomed in on the screen.

Scene: Marinette's room. Aquabug lies down on the bed, crying.
(Ziggy and Barkk notices Aquabug and decides to comfort her. Aquabug looks at the pictures of Adrien, Luka, and her friends, struggling with the feelings of heartbreak and lying.)
Ziggy: It's so sad!
Barkk: I told you we should've taken those photos down!
(Barkk and Ziggy start to take the photos down, but Marinette stops them.)
Aquabug: Stop, I'm not sad and these photos don't bother me, at all. They're just shots of fashion and friends, and I love fashion and I love my friends, so it's all good. (struggles with her emotions) There's no problem, see?
(Barrk and Ziggy leaves Marinette.)

“Oh please, none of you cried when I lost the Bee Miraculous!” Chloé scoffed.

“Cause you sided with him,” Marinette gestured towards Gabriel.

“And I regret it, every second of it!” She turned to Gabriel. “And you were a terrible ally!”

Gabriel averted his gaze, shuddering at Chloé’s nudity.

Scene: Alya's room.
(Alya uses her tablet to show moments regarding Marinette's love to Adrien, and then Luka).
Alya: So, Marinette's got a problem. Her heart's been broken. At first Marinette is crazy about Adrien but she's never been able to tell him about her feelings because well.. she's Marinette and he's.. well.. Adrien. Then comes along Luka, Marinette can talk to him because he's.. well.. Luka. So they start dating.
Rose: They were so cute together!
Alya: Yeah, except they broke up.
Juleka: He was like super sad when they did.
(The group sighs sadly.)
Alya: But the real problem here is that Marinette never told us anything. If Luka hadn't told Juleka, who told Rose, who told Mylène, who then told Alix, who finally told me. Then I, her BF in the whole world would still be in the dark! Yesterday I was in the restroom and I heard her crying.

Older!Alix rolled her eyes and turned to Alya. “No, the real problem was you idiots were snooping in her private life, you all hang out at the Liberty how did any of you not know they were dating.”

“To be fair, you were part of this, so you’re an idiot too, idiot,” Alya said defensively.

Rose squinted. “Now that I see it, they were never gonna last. Or, never will… D’oh!” Rose put a hand to her head.

Marinette: (crying)
Alya: Marinette? Have you been crying?
Marinette: (whilst faking the emotion) Me? Crying? Are you kidding? I'm super happy! Let's celebrate and have a party! I'm so happy!

“Another bad lie,” Alya muttered, Marinette elbowed her.

Scene: Alya’s room.
Rose: Why is she keeping all these secrets from us?
Alix: If she's not even telling Alya, then there's a real problem!
Mylène: What do we do?
Alya: What Marinette needs is a friendly intervention. Let's all call her up together and see how she's doing.
Girls: Rabbit check! (whistle)

(Marinette's phone is ringing, but she doesn't pick up.)

Scene: Alya's room.
Alya: She's not picking up.
Marinette: (over voicemail) It's Marinette, leave a message, beep!

Scene: Marinette's room.
(Aquabug answers the voicemail.)
Alya: (over phone) Hey Marinette, it's us!
Girls: (over phone, enthusiastically say hi to Marinette)
Alya: (over phone) We were just calling to tell you that we're here if you need to talk, whenever you want, wherever you want, call us back!
Girls: (over phone) We love you, big hugs!
(Aquabug stills struggles with her emotions while multiple kwamis fly over her.)
Barkk: We gotta do something!
Wayzz: We need Tikki!
Trixx: I got this! Why aren't you using the talking light box to speak to your friends?
Aquabug: About what? Everything's fine.
Trixx: Don't you think you should detransform then?
Aquabug: No, I'm better off like this, if Shadow Moth attacks Paris, I'll already be ready for action at any time.
Trixx: Yes, but what about Tikki? She might need to rest a bit, or maybe eat something.
Aquabug: (frantically) Oh no! Tikki, spots off! (Aquabug de-transforms into Marinette)
Marinette: (with tears on her eyes) Are you okay, Tikki?
Tikki: Better than you, Marinette. We should have a little talk.
(Marinette looks down, still tearful and heartbroken.)

Scene: Alya's room
Alya: Maybe we should go to her house. What do you think?
Mylène: We'll give her an eternal friendship bracelet so she never forgets that friends can tell each other anything and that we'll always be there for her.
(Mylène gives one bead for each group member)
Mylène: I read in a magazine that an ancient South American tribe did something like this. You tell a secret to the bead in your mind, once Marinette adds her secret to the bead this bracelet will unite us all forever. Ready?
Alix: Seriously, wouldn't it be more logical to take her out for a smoothie and help her work out her love problems?
(The group reacts to the idea badly)
Alix: Okay.

“You… are all… morons.” Older!Alix spluttered.

“Smoothies solve everything!” Younger!Alix retorted.

Juleka ran a finger around Rose’s lip. “They solved a lot of problems we had.” Rose giggled at this remark.

Scene: Marinette's room.
Marinette: As long as I'm Ladybug, I can't have loved ones in my life.
Tikki: What makes you say that Marinette?
Marinette: You know why. I had to break up with Luka because I couldn't tell him the truth, it'd be the same thing with Adrien. I can't share my secret with either of them. I can't be honest with my closest friends or my parents about anything. I'm doomed to be a big liar to everyone, forever. What do I do Tikki?
Tikki: I wish I could tell you but... kwamis don't fall in love.
Marinette: You see? No one can help me. My life as Marinette is too complicated. I should just be Ladybug all the time! Tikki, spots on! (Marinette transforms into Ladybug.)
Alya: Marinette? Marinette?
(The kwamis hide into the Miracle Box).
Rose: (realising the house) Wow! Check this out girls! This is new! Oh, it's so cute!
Mylène: Another one of Marinette's cool creations.
Alya: She must be up on the patio, I'll go get her.

Scene: Marinette's balcony.
Ladybug: What are you waiting for, Shadow Moth?! Here I am!
(Ladybug decides to go back into her room.)

“Dumbass! Akumatizing myself would just make things worse!” Marinette shouted.

Chloé giggled at Marinette calling herself a dumbass.

Scene: Marinette's room.
Alya: Marinette?
Ladybug: (gasps) Spots off.
Alya: Marinette!
Marinette: What are you doing here?
Alya: We're just checkin' in on you, girl.
Rose: Aw, it looks just like a real house, look how the roof comes off to show the inside!
Marinette: (frantically) No! No, don't touch that! Move away!
(As Rose opens the roof, Marinette gets down, pushing past through her friends and Rose as she hides what is inside of the dollhouse, while Rose accidentally drops the roof, which cracks. The girls gasp in shock.)
Rose: (kneels to pick up the cracks) Sorry, Marinette!
Marinette: (angrily) Will you please leave my room?!
Alya: Chill out Marinette, it's just a doll house. We'll totally help.
Marinette: No you won't, please go!
Alya: Okay Marinette, there's clearly something wrong and we're not leaving you like this till you tell us what it is.
Mylène: Each of us told our secrets to this bracelet. It's your turn now.
Marinette: (angrily) The only thing that's wrong right now is you guys still hanging out in my room, which is not cool!
Alya: If we're really your friends, you can confide in us.
Rose: Real friends don't ever let each other down.
Marinette: (lashes out at them in rage) Well then maybe I don't want you to be my friends, GET OUT!

Marinette winced at this.

“Yeah, you seriously didn’t know this was gonna cause an akuma?” Younger!Alix asked.

“You’d have probably had better luck just asking us to come back tomorrow,” Juleka added, holding Rose in her lap lovingly.

(The group of friends are shocked and heartbroken by this, and exit her room right away. Alya looks at Marinette one more time before finally leaving in sadness. Once they're gone, Marinette drops to her knees and sobs, shattered over what she has done.)
Marinette: (struggling with her emotions) I had no choice Tikki, I had to do it.
Tikki: (sadly) I know, Marinette.
Marinette: At least now I won't have to lie anymore, since, there'll be no one to lie to.

Scene: Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie.
(The group of friends leave sadly. Tom and Sabine are working and notice them, but Sabine realizes their emotions.)
Sabine: Is everything okay? Girls?
(Alya, Rose, Juleka, Mylène and Alix leave and are outside, heartbroken over what happened.)

Scene: Shadow Moth's lair. Shadow Moth senses how much the girls are saddened with Marinette for not telling them her secrets and breaking their friendship.
Shadow Moth: Several fragile hearts that break all at the same time. What a lovely symphony for my akumas. (creates the akuma) Fly away my akuma, and evilize them!

“They’re gonna be the same akumas, they’re gonna be the same akumas,” Alix chanted, highlighting Hawk Moth’s predictability.

Scene: Place des Vosges
(The bracelet is passed to each friend before the akumatization, all in a sad mood.)
Alya: (heartbroken) I just lost my best friend.
Mylène: (deeply hurt) I really thought it would work.
Rose: (sobbing) This is so sad!
Juleka: (mumbling sadly)
Alix: (both sad and angry) This cannot end like this!
(Alix crushes bracelet in anger and sadness. The akuma enters the bracelet, and Alya, Mylène, Rose, Juleka and Alix are all akumatized. There's a five-split scene, where in front of the girls appear purple butterflies.)
Shadow Moth: (from his lair) Gang of Secrets, I am Shadow Moth. Your friend won't reveal her secrets to you? I will give you all the powers you need to force her to give them up! All that I want in exchange are Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous.
Alya: Marinette will stay our friend.
Alix: Whether she wants to or not.
Mylène: And she'll keep no secrets from us.
Juleka: (mumbling) Can't believe she'd do that.
(All five get transformed to their previous akumatized forms.)

Younger!Alix looked back at Gabriel. “Could you be any more obvious? Really, why not give us new ones?”

“It’s obviously not in the budget! Huh?” Harry noted.

“Not even upgrades then?” Max asked.

Gabriel pouted. “You try coming up with new akumas every day.”

Lady Wifi: I'll be in charge of capturing her.
Princess Fragrance: I will force her to reveal what she's been hiding from us.
Timebreaker: (enthusiastically) And I'll turn back time to return everything to the way it was.
Reflekta: We'll comfort her and she'll be our friend again.
Lady Wifi: And if Ladybug and Cat Noir try to stand in our way, Horrificator will keep them busy!
(Horrificator roars as the Gang of Secrets are on their way to go after Marinette.)

“Reflekta can’t do shit you know,” Juleka noted.

“Also we’re going full blown Yandere on Marinette I just realized,” Younger!Alix sighed. “Not healthy, not healthy at all.”

“And you call my friendship with Sabrina toxic!” Chloé bragged.

Scene: Marinette’s room.
(Marinette throws away the mess that was made in the event, and has created a storage box for where the Miracle Box will be held. Marinette closes her eyes and sighs in relief. Lady Wifi teleports to her phone, startling her.)
Lady Wifi: (to Marinette; optimistically) I'm here for you Marinette, I'm your friend. (menacingly) You will tell us all your secrets and you will feel so much better!
(Trixx, Wayzz and Barkk all transport themselves to the storage box.)

Scene: The storage box.
(Trixx prepares his power.)
Wayzz: You really shouldn't be doing this, Trixx!
Barkk: (frantically) Remember the last time you used your power of Illusion without a holder?
Trixx: (determined) Marinette must not reveal her secret. Mirage!

Scene: Marinette's room.
(Marinette runs to the balcony of her room, while Lady Wifi tries to stop her with her pauses. Noticing Marinette on the balcony, Lady Wifi jumps up.)

Scene: Marinette's balcony.
(Lady Wifi looks around for Marinette, who is nowhere to be seen. She eventually sees Trixx's illusion of Marinette running towards Collège Françoise Dupont, which bewilders her.)
Lady Wifi: How did she? (She moves to the school)

Scene: Collège Françoise Dupont's entrance.
Lady Wifi: Don't run away Marinette, we're friends aren't we? (The other 4 members of the Gang follow.) Follow me.
(Marinette's illusion disappears.)

Scene: Marinette’s room.
(The real Marinette reappears.)
Marinette: Thanks Trixx.

[Transformation Sequence]
Marinette: (unhappily) Tikki, spots on! Ah!

(Ladybug prepares to go to the balcony but is stopped by a thought)
Ladybug: When a kwami uses their power without a holder to channel its energy, doesn't it often set off some kind of catastrophe?

Trixx: My power creates Illusions, (Wayzz and Barkk look shocked with their mouths open) so the side effects will hopefully just be in their imaginations.
(Ladybug goes to the balcony, while Wayzz and Barkk are annoyed by his recent action.)
Trixx: Oh come on, her Miraculous Ladybug will make everything alright anyway. (his expression droops) I hope.

Scene: Marinette's balcony.
(The Eiffel Tower dances in a strange way as a result of the Mirage.)

“Congratulations, you made the Eiffel Tower do a fucking disco,” Younger!Alix murmured.

Ladybug: Oh Trixx… (uses her yo-yo to transport herself)

Scene: Adrien's room. The tower keeps dancing crazily.
Nadja Chamack: (on TV) A strange phenomenon has just hit the Eiffel Tower. We advise all Parisians to stay home… (continues in background)
Plagg: I'll bet you an entire Camembert that this is Trixx's doing.
Adrien: Trixx?
Plagg: The kwami of Illusion.
Adrien: What's not an illusion is the fact that Ladybug needs our help!
Plagg: Great. Even when I'm not the one who made the mess, I still have to help clean it up.
Adrien: Plagg, claws out!

“It’s your job, kitty cat,” Marinette giggled. Adrien mumbled something under his breath. “What was that?” Marinette said.

“Nothing, nothing,” he replied sheepishly.

Marinette folded her arms, closed her eyes and smiled. “That’s what I thought.”

Lady Wifi: Marinette…!
(Lady Wifi slingshots her pauses, while Timebreaker touches the people inside the library, increasing her power.)

Scene: The restroom.
Students: (run and scream in fear of Horrificator)
(The Horrificator increases her size and leaves)

Scene: The Art classroom.
(Princess Fragrance and Reflekta enter.)
Princess Fragrance: Has anyone seen Marinette Dupain-Cheng?
Students and Jean-Pierre Monlataing: Huh? (all of theme shake their heads)
Princess Fragrance: Then you're gonna help us find her!
(Reflekta uses her power on the students, while Princess Fragrance spews her perfume to them. The victims cough, and once the perfume disappears they all become obedient clones of Reflekta.)
Students and Jean-Pierre Monlataing: At your service, Princess Fragrance.

Scene: Collège Françoise Dupont's entrance.
(The copies of Reflekta run to find Marinette, while the Gang of Secrets meet up together.)
Lady Wifi: She's got to be here somewhere. Let's split up.

Scene: The streets of Paris.
(Horrificator scares more civilians as her power increases.)

Scene: Parisian rooftops.
(Cat Noir notices the multiple super villains. He then hides and calls Ladybug.)
Cat Noir: Hey there, m'lady. Somebody is having a super villain party and didn't invite us.
Ladybug: They're looking for Marinette Dupain-Cheng, one of their classmates.
Cat Noir: Haven't we already saved her a bunch of times? Funny you'd think everybody would like her.
Ladybug: Well apparently, she's managed to alienate all her friends at once. (struggles to think about the recent event)

Older!Alix sighed. “Alienate would imply we abandoned you, which we weren’t doing.”

Cat Noir: You still there?
Ladybug: Just thinking. With five villians it's not gonna be easy finding the object that has the akuma.
Cat Noir: I bet you already have an idea, right?
Ladybug: I'm going to isolate one of the villains from the others and get her to tell me where the akuma is. Meanwhile, you find Timebreaker to stop her from going back in the past, otherwise she could really screw up my plan.
Cat Noir: Good luck, M'lady.
Ladybug: Thanks, you too.

Scene: The streets of Paris.
(Timebreaker continues to touch nearby civilians, and increases her power.)
Cat Noir: Hey, it's been awhile. How's it ticking Ms. Time Keeper?
Timebreaker: It's Timebreaker. And I don't have a second to lose talking to you.
(Timebreaker attacks but Cat Noir blocks her with his staff.)

Scene: The alleyway. Ladybug captures Lady Wifi.
(Ladybug breaks her phone, but it is not where the akuma is.)
Lady Wifi: Ha, bummer for you, Ladybug. I don't have the akuma.
Ladybug: No biggie, I just wanted to talk to you anyway.
Lady Wifi: I've got nothing to say to you.

Scene: The streets of Paris.
(Cat Noir fights off Timebreaker.)
Shadow Moth: (with telepathy) Your friend, Lady Wifi is having some trouble with Ladybug. (all girls grunt and escape)
Cat Noir: (chasing after them) Hey! Don't you wanna play anymore?

Scene: The alleyway.
Ladybug: Alya, from what I understand, you've been having some issues with your best friend. Her name's Marinette, right?

“Problems you caused!” Marinette spat defensively.

Scene: Parisian rooftops and the streets of Paris.
(The rest of the gang runs to go near Ladybug, and Cat Noir is on their tail.)

Scene: The alleyway.
Ladybug: I don't know what happened between the two of you, but I wanna tell you about a friend of mine. She's a superhero. You know Rena Rouge right?
(Lady Wifi realizes her superhero identity)
Ladybug: Of course, we keep secrets from one another, mainly because of my secret identity, but even though we can't tell each other everything, we trust each other. And that's why we can fight side by side. You can reject the power that Shadow Moth gave you.
(Lady Wifi begins to break free)
Shadow Moth: (from his lair) Don't listen to her Lady Wifi. If you do that, you'll never know your friend's secrets! Or Ladybug's!
Ladybug: I trust you completely Alya. And I need you! I.. need Rena Rouge! (un-tangles Lady Wifi)
(Lady Wifi struggles to break free, with Ladybug feeling hopeful. Finally, Lady Wifi screams and breaks free of Shadow Moth's control.)

“I did that and no one cared!” Chloé sneered.

“Well, no one actually saw you do it, honeytits!” Alya noted as Chloé fidgeted once more.

Scene: Shadow Moth's lair. Suddenly, the purple butterfly mask that was seen in Shadow Moth's face has became shattered, due to Lady Wifi breaking her hold of it.
Shadow Moth: (feeling pain from the break. As he gazes his head up, Shadow Moth is completely stunned that Lady Wifi completely broke his hold.) That's.. impossible!

Scene: The alleyway.
(Lady Wifi de-transforms into Alya, nearly fainting.)
Ladybug: Wow. No one has ever done that... you're amazing!

“Liar!” Chloé yelled. Marinette grabbed Chloé and sat her nude body on her lap. “I told you, we didn’t know about it cause we never saw it.” She booped Chloé on the nose, causing her to blush.

Alya: It's 'cause you're an amazing friend, Ladybug.
Ladybug and Alya: Pound it.
(Ladybug's phone is ringing.)

Scene: The Canal Saint-Martin.
Cat Noir: Ladybug, the Gang of Secrets is looking for you, I'm on it, but I don't know how long I can hold them off all by myself.
Shadow Moth: (from his lair) Your friend Lady Wifi has betrayed you, she chose Ladybug's side. Hurry up and seize his Miraculous so you can take care of the bug!

Scene: The alleyway.
Ladybug: Which object holds the akuma?
Alya: It's in a bracelet. Timebreaker must have it, but you and Cat Noir will never be able to take on four villains at once.
Ladybug: I think this calls for the master of Illusion. (opens her yo-yo and takes out the Fox Miraculous)
Alya: Woah! How'd you do that?
Ladybug: There have been a few upgrades since I became Guardian of the Miraculous.
Alya: You're Guardian of the- (gasps)
Ladybug: Yeah, keep it on the down low. Not a word about it on the LadyBlog.
Alya: You know I know how to keep a secret.

“That’s still a thing? I thought it was shut down,” Alya said.

(She puts on the Fox Miraculous and Trixx appears)

Scene: The Canal Saint-Martin. Reflekta pins Cat Noir to the ground with the gang (and unknowingly to them, Ladybug and Rena Rouge) watching.

“You wouldn’t if you did your fucking job,” Marinette retorted. Chloé giggled, she thought Marinette cussing was hot.

Reflekta: No Cataclysm to save you this time.
Ladybug: We need to hurry! Lucky Charm! (a pool lifesaver appears from the air, and Ladybug looks around for ideas.) Okay, I got a plan, listen. '
Cat Noir: At the very moment you touch it, I'll summon my power and then who knows what's gonna happen to you.
Princess Fragrance: Why bother taking it, when I can make you my slave and order you to give it to me?
Ladybug: Give them what they want, now!
Rena Rouge: Mirage!
Marinette Illusion: Cat Noir, no!
Gang of Secrets: Marinette!
Princess Fragrance: Catch her!
(The gang starts running after the Marinette illusion)
Shadow Moth: (from his lair; angrily) No! Take his Miraculous first! Come back!
Cat Noir: Thank you, M'ladies. I was a whisker away from cat-astrophe.

“Do… your… job!” Marinette growled, she tweaked Chloé’s nipple in frustration, the blonde let out a moan.

Ladybug: That's what friends are for, my kitty cat. Okay, you two get to the pool, now.
Cat Noir: What about you?
Ladybug: I'll keep our guests busy. Rena Rouge will explain the rest of the plan.

Scene: Outside the swimming pool.
(The Marinette illusion runs to the Swimming pool, along with the Gang of Secrets.)
Shadow Moth: (from his lair) Seize Ladybug! Take her Miraculous!
Timebreaker: You take care of her. I'll deal with Marinette.
(Ladybug tries to fight back, but is captured by Horrificator)
Reflekta: You're on Princess!

Scene: Inside the swimming pool. The Marinette illusion keeps running away from Timebreaker.
Timebreaker: It's time to give up your secret, Marinette!

Scene: Inside the swimming pool.
Timebreaker: There's nowhere to go!
(The Marinette illusion runs to avoid Timebreaker. Timebreaker nearly gets ahold of her.)
Rena Rouge: Mirage, Vanish!
(The illusion disappears, and Timebreaker lands in the pool, confused. Aqua Noir, who is in the pool, uses the lifesaver to trap Timebreaker.)
Aqua Noir: Cataclysm! (uses to disintegrate the bracelet)
(The akuma is released. Timebreaker is de-transformed.)

Scene: Outside the swimming pool.
(Princess Fragrance, Horrificator, and Reflekta de-transform. Ladybug catches Rose.)
Rose: Thank you, Ladybug.
(Ladybug notices the akuma)
Ladybug: No more evil doing for you little akuma! Time to de-evilize! (captures the akuma and purifies it) Gotcha! Bye bye little butterfly! (throws the lifesaver) Miraculous Ladybug!
(The Miraculous Ladybug undoes all of the damage, including the Eiffel Tower moving in a strange way. Ladybug feels guilty about abandoning her friends.)
Rena Rouge: Pound it?
Ladybug, Rena Rouge, and Cat Noir: Pound it!

Scene: Shadow Moth's lair.
Shadow Moth: You've made mistakes before Ladybug, and you'll make them again! One day, I will discover your secret! (the window closes)

“I thought the rule of the show was I make mistakes and learn from them.” Marinette said.

“Except you never learn, you do the same shit over and over,” Older!Alix said.

Scene: The alleyway.
Rena Rouge: Let's rest. (de-transforms and gives a high-five to Trixx.)
Alya: Thank you, Ladybug.
Ladybug: You know, without you and Cat Noir, I wouldn't have made it through today. I'm really lucky to have friends like you. So, thank you.
(Ladybug and Alya hug each other.)

Scene: Marinette’s room.
(Marinette is holding the friendship bracelet, and admits to the breakup.)
Marinette: It's true, breaking up with Luka broke my heart. And never being able to tell Adrien how I feel is just as painful. Love is too difficult. I think- I think I'm gonna stick to friendship, that's about all I can handle right now.
Rose: Take your time.
Mylène: It'll all work out.
Alya: And whatever happens, we'll always be here for you. (the girls hug Marinette)
Alix: When you're ready for love, just make sure you tell us, so we can help you with a sick new plan to win over Adrien, Luka or whoever!
Girls: (laugh)

“Hey, we were just trying to back her up,” Younger!Alix said defensively. Rose and Juleka exchanged glances and started kissing while Mylene snuggled up to Ivan.

Marinette: Girls, it's you who I love. (all the girls hug again)

“Oooh, something you wanna say Marinette?” Chloé teased only to be met with a kiss on the lips from Marinette.

“Do as I say, not as I do,” Marinette replied.

Rose: Bye, Marinette.
Alix: Bye! See ya tomorrow.
(Marinette once again looks distraught; Alya notices)
Alya: You go ahead girls, I just have one last thing to say to Marinette. (closes the door to Marinette's room) You didn't tell us everything, did you? A journalist and a BFF can tell these things.
(Marinette feels guilty and sadly sits down.)
Alya: I won't try to figure it out or force it out of you. (sits beside her) If you can't tell me what's in your heart, it's your right.
Marinette: Will we still be friends?
Alya: Marinette. I'm your best friend, and I'll always be. That's why it kills me that I can't help you with whatever's making you feel so alone.
(Alya sighs, and is about to leave Marinette's room when Marinette grabs her hand.)
Marinette: Alya, wait! Stay. You're right, I am alone. (grows increasingly emotional) More than ever before. I can barely take it anymore! You know why I broke up with Luka? Not because I don't like him, he's amazing! It's 'cause there's something that I can't tell him. You know why I have to forget Adrien? For the exact same reason! You're right, I keep secrets, I lie all the time! I lie to my friends, to my parents, to everyone and the worst thing is, I can't do it any other way!
Alya: There's always another way.
Marinette: No, not this time. I have no choice. All this is bigger than us, Alya. Way too big.
Alya: If it's too big, two of us can handle it better than one.
Marinette: If I tell you, things will never be the same between us again. (shakes her head) It'll mess up everything, maybe even destroy it.
Alya: (voice breaking) Marinette, I'm your very best friend.
Marinette: And I… I'm Ladybug.
(Alya becomes surprised, that someone, whom she admired the most was her best friend, before she hugs Marinette, with the kwamis looking on, possibly distressed and worried.)

“Okay, that was actually really sweet Alya,” Marinette complimented, with Chloé now completely intoxicated in her lap.

“Hey, girl I’m the head on your shoulders,” Alya assured her.

“Touching,” Older!Alix said, “okay, ranking time!”

Younger!Alix observed once more.

“Four recycled akumas and none of them were particularly interesting to begin with, hell they don’t even work together effectively and completely botch even catching the stupid incompetent Chat so obviously 0 just for that, none of their designs were to write home about especially Reflekta who’s just at this point overused so again 0, as for effectiveness they really fell off since their last appearances so 1. Yeah this group sucked.”
