Goku & Superman: The Threat of Brainiac and Cell [EN]

Summary:

(English Version of my first Db/Dc fanfic)

After Demigra's defeat in "Dragon Ball: Xenoverse," several holes connecting various points in space and time were created, and one of them ended up sending Cell, the powerful android responsible for Goku's death, to the DC universe, where he will encounter and join forces with one of the most dangerous beings in that universe: Brainiac. Now, it's up to the two greatest heroes of each universe to unite and stop them.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Toki Toki City, home of the Time Patrollers. Dragon Ball Universe.

Everything has been calm for Trunks and the other Time Patrollers since Demigra's defeat months ago (that is, if we can count time outside of it), but everything is about to change.

Shortly after breakfast, Vegeta's son received an urgent message from the Supreme Kai of Time, asking him to meet her in the Time Scroll Room. Immediately after receiving the message, he hurried to the location, disturbing the calm in the city.

Trunks arrives, panting, and finds the leader of the patrollers with her arms crossed and tapping her right foot repeatedly on the ground.

Kaioshin of Time: The entire space-time fabric is about to collapse, and it takes you this long to get here?!

Trunks (panting): Sorry, Madam Supreme Kaioshin of Time... (now in a more surprised voice) Wait, the universe is collapsing again?!

Kaioshin of Time: Calm down, Trunks. Let me explain. When we defeated Demigra, several wormholes connecting different time periods were created, which led to that unfortunate incident with Broly and Bardock that you resolved yesterday.

Trunks: Oh, so that's it. When did the wormhole open this time?

Kaioshin: That's the problem, I don't know. I only know where it connects: another dimension.

Trunks: Does that mean I'll have to go to that other dimension?

Kaioshin: No, that's a problem I'll have to solve myself. I just need you to keep an eye on it and let me know if you can figure out when it opens in our dimension.

Trunks: You're welcome, Madam Kaioshin.

Trunks leaves for the watch room, where he will look for any space-time alterations, and leaves the Supreme Kai with her bird.

Supreme Kaioshin: I just hope Demigra is the cause of this problem...

Chapter 2: The Return of Cell

Chapter Text

Dr. Gero's Secret Laboratory. Dragon Ball Universe. One month after Majin Buu's defeat.

A bald, Caucasian man in his early 40s is finally finishing the experiment of a lifetime. He takes a cable and connects it to a capsule containing an inert, lifeless body: Cell.

This scientist was one of Dr. Gero's assistants before Goku overthrew the Red Ribbon Army. Months after his death, he broke into the remains of his former leader's laboratory, managed to find the remains of the computer, and salvaged some of the data it contained. This data contained information to recreate Cell, the android with the combined power of Earth's greatest fighters. Thinking of selling the android to the highest bidder, he rebuilt it, and now, after months of genetic manipulation to achieve its perfect form, the scientist is finally ready to power this empty shell and breathe life into it.

He places his hand on the lever that activates the generator, smiles, thinking of the fortune he'll make by selling it, and finally pulls it, beginning the process.

At first, everything seems to be going as planned. The charge percentage indicator on the capsule gradually increases, and after 50%, Cell's hand twitches. What the doctor doesn't know is that, just like someone revived with a defibrillator, by rebuilding the body so perfectly and providing energy, he created a vessel that brought Cell's soul, with no memory of his time in Hell, back to Earth.

The indicator reaches 100%, and seconds later, Cell regains consciousness, blasts the glass door of his capsule, and emerges. He looks around, then at his own hands.

Cell: What happened? Where am I?

He ponders for a few more moments.

Cell: I remember. Gohan killed me, but how did I come back?

Suddenly, the man who brought him back to life, who had seen the entire scene from a distance, approaches the android.

Scientist: But what? Return to your capsule immediately. I am your creator, and I am ordering you.

Cell grabs him by the neck and lifts him up.

Cell: Do you really think I would obey a worm like you?!

He then closes his hand and crushes his "creator's" throat, killing him. Cell throws the body to the ground, ponders for a moment what he should do, and then takes flight.

Forest near Goku's house. Dragon Ball Universe.

It was a very tiring week for Son Gohan. Aside from meals, sleeping, and chatting with Videl, his girlfriend, on the computer, all he did was study. As Saturday approached, he decided to invite his father and brother to training so he could get some rest. The two readily agreed, but Chi Chi, Gohan's mother, said (actually yelled) that before anything else, Goku needed to clean up the mess he'd left in the kitchen, so Gohan and Goten decided to go ahead and warm up.

The two young men arrive in a more open area of the forest near their house and begin their warm-up. It consists of a classic attack and defense training, where one participant must attack and the other must defend themselves in any way possible.

Gohan starts as the attacker and confronts him with a series of punches and kicks, but Goten quickly dodges all the blows. The older brother stops attacking, slightly out of breath.

Gohan: "Very good, Goten, your speed is great, but now try defending instead of dodging."

Goten nods, and the fight resumes. Gohan first lands a powerful punch on his brother, which sends him backward, even though he defended with his arms.

Son Gohan advances, preparing to deliver another blow, when suddenly he senses an evil ki in the distance and stops. It takes a few seconds, but Goten feels it too.

Gohan: What could be the source of this...

Gohan is carried away. What his brother saw was only a green blur carrying him, but the truth is that this was one of the Z Fighters' worst adversaries: Cell.

The android carries Gohan to a slightly distant area and then throws him forward. The Saiyan gets up, still a little confused by what happened, and in front of him he finds Cell in his perfect form with his arms crossed.

Cell: Well, you've grown up, Gohan.

Gohan (still a little surprised): Cell?! How did you... I KILLED YOU!!!

Cell: Yeah. I remember that. Now that I'm back, I'll pay you back in kind.

Cell smiles. Gohan transforms into a Super Saiyan and gets into a fighting stance. Cell advances, and the fight begins.

The battle between the two unfolds at an insane pace. Both opponents unleash powerful punches and dodge them in a seemingly endless sequence. Seeing this, Cell creates a static energy field around himself, stunning Gohan enough for him to land two punches to the torso and one to the chin, sending him flying. While he's still flying, Cell teleports behind him and kicks him in the back, sending him back to the ground, creating a small crater.

Gohan slowly gets up. Cell appears right in front of him and begins punishing him with a series of punches to the torso. Just as he's about to punch him in the face, Gohan defends himself with his arm and follows up with several blows to the android's stomach, neck, and head, finishing with a two-handed position near his own head.

Gohan: Masenko!!!

As soon as he shouts, a blast of yellow energy shoots from his hands, sending the android crashing into a large rock nearby. Cell gets up, slightly injured but already regenerating, and Gohan clasps his hands together at the wrists near his waist.

Gohan: KAMEHAMEHA!!!!

The blue energy blast shoots from their still-bonded wrists and heads straight for Cell. Seconds before the blast hits and disintegrates him forever, a portal opens behind him and sucks him inside.

The energy blast ends, and nothing it touched remains intact, forming a small trench for miles ahead. Seeing this, Gohan is certain that Cell has truly been destroyed this time. Goten flies in shortly after.

Goten: I found you. What happened?

Gohan: It was Cell. He's back, but I've already taken care of him.

Suddenly, Goku flies in.

Goku: I'm here. Have you guys finished warming up?

Goku sees Gohan panting and notices the destruction caused by his battle with Cell.

Goku: Hey, did I miss something?

Chapter 3: In The Ship of Brainiac

Chapter Text

Space. Near Jupiter's orbit. DC Universe.

A space-time portal opens, and Cell and some of Gohan's Kamehameha energy emerge. The energy hits him, leaving him injured and unconscious, but slowly regenerating.

Minutes later, Braniac's ship appears at hyperspace speed. It was heading toward Earth to try to capture the city of Metropolis and place it in the Coluan's collection, but it slowed down when the onboard computer detected the presence of an unidentified life form.

A small door opens, and four of Braniac's drones emerge, picking up Cell's inert body and carrying him into the ship.

Some time passes, Cell's regeneration finally completes, and he wakes up on a stretcher, with his arms and legs tied, a tube in his mouth, two cables stuck in his forehead, and several drones surrounding him.

Drones: Prisoner is waking up. Prepare the...

Cell creates an energy blast that destroys part of the room and all the drones, preventing Braniac's servant from finishing his sentence. He destroys the restraints on his wrists and ankles, stands up, and removes the tube from his mouth and the cables from his head.

The android leaves the room and enters a seemingly endless corridor, and begins to reflect.

Cell: What is this place? How did I end up here? Did I die again?

He walks a few more meters when he suddenly encounters a squadron of Brainiac's drones prepared to defeat him.

Braniac's Drone: Prisoner 141, return to the intubation room now.

Cell: Or what?

Drone: Or we will be forced to use force.

Cell smiles confidently and makes the "bring it on" signal with his hands. The drone in front transforms its hand into an electric prod and charges at the android. He tries to hit him, but Cell dodges, rips the robot's staff off, and rams it into his head.

The other drones, seeing the threat the "outsider" poses, rush toward him, intent on extinguishing or, if necessary, destroying him. Cell stretches his arms forward, and two balls of yellow energy form in his palms. When Brainiac's soldiers get close enough, Cell unleashes a blast of energy that disintegrates them.

Dr. Gero's ultimate creation, realizing that waiting to fight other soldiers won't get him out of there, decides to advance to the room where he senses the greatest amount of power. Upon arriving, he finds the being who commands the place standing there, staring directly at him. He is the great collector of worlds: Brainiac.

Brainiac: Return to your cell, or this damage will not go unpunished.

Cell: I heard it the first time.

Cell teleports on top of Brainiac and hits him in the face with a powerful punch that sends the alien plummeting through the ground. Cell teleports again and kicks the still-falling Brainiac, changing his course 90 degrees, heading straight for a distant wall. As his opponent crashes into the wall, Cell places his hands in the same position Gohan had just before finishing him off.

Cell: Kamehameha!!!

Shortly after he says this, the same blue blast that injured him earlier shoots from his hands and hits Brainiac, sending him crashing through not only the wall in front of him, but also the one beyond.

After the android's sequence that killed Goku, Brainiac lies limp and far from his opponent, giving the impression of already being defeated. To be sure, Cell flies toward the alien, but when he gets there, Superman's enemy is already back on his feet. He wipes the small amount of blood from his mouth and then stares at Cell.

Brainiac: Predictable and insignificant.

Cell, enraged by the insult, punches Brainiac in the face, but Brainiac defends himself with one arm and responds with a punch to the stomach, stunning Brainiac, and a kick to the torso that sends him flying.

Cell flies toward his opponent and tries to hit him with a flurry of punches, but Brainiac dodges them all and punishes his enemy with a flurry of blows of the same number and even greater force, sending him straight to the ground.

Brainiac lunges forward and is about to stomp on Cell's face when, suddenly, the android places his hands on his forehead.

Cell: Taioken!!!

A bright light emits from his hands, blinding Brainiac, who staggers back. Cell stands up, and from beneath his "wings" emerges a tube with a tip that somewhat resembles a plunger. The object approaches Braniac, the tip opens exponentially, and swallows him. The Coluan's body passes through the tube and then enters Cell's body, completing the absorption process.

The android's body begins to transform and glow as a result of the absorption. The white parts of his body change to a green hue, while the rest turn black, and purple lights appear on his arms, legs, and sides.

The transformation ends, and Cell smiles as he realizes his current power level. The level of power necessary for him to finally exact his revenge against Son Gohan. For no reason and without warning, he begins to feel unbearable pain throughout his body.

Cell: (sounds of pain) But what is this? (more sounds of pain).

Suddenly, Brainiac's symbol appears on his chest.

Braniac: Did you really think you could defeat a twelfth-level intellect simply by absorbing it?

Cell's lack of response marks the end of his control over his own body and Brainiac's victory. The Coluan looks curiously at his new body, analyzing it, and then, unconscious, teleports to his main hall.

Braniac: Impressive.

He goes to his central computer and activates it with his mind.

Braniac: Computer, analyze body.

Computer: Analyzing him

A mechanical arm with a rectangular tip emerges from the computer, and from its tip, a large beam of light illuminates Cell's body from head to toe.

Cell: What happened?

Braniac: Curious. I took complete control of his body, yet his consciousness remains. A problem to solve later.

Cell: WHAT?? Get me out of here!!!

Braniac: Shut up.

As soon as Brainiac speaks, Cell falls silent, fearing he'll be erased from existence, and at just the right moment, the computer finishes the analysis.

Computer: Analysis complete. Results: Body composed of human cells and cells from uncatalogued species. Internal vibration inconsistent with that of beings in this universe. Universe of origin: not yet visited.

Braniac: Ship control: Enter the body's vibrational coordinates into the transdimensional transporter and activate transport.

Brainiac sits in his armchair, and outside, from the eyes of the giant, tentacled skull that is his ship, two beams emerge. When they meet up ahead, they open a portal that leads to Cell's universe. The ship enters the portal and disappears with it.

Chapter 4: Brainiac's Plan

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Space, 400 kilometers from the Sun. Dragon Ball Universe.

A portal opens in space, and Braniac's ship emerges.

Ship computer: Trans-dimensional transport successful.

Braniac: Excellent.

Computer: Warning, microscopic life form inside nearby star.

Braniac: Analyze.

Computer: Analyzing...

A beam of light similar to the one that analyzed Cell's body emerges from the ship's eyes and travels directly to the Sun. After a few minutes, the analysis ends, and the beam is turned off.

Computer: Analysis complete. Results: Cell still alive. Energy levels released above normal rates. Similarities detected: Cell is the same species as one of the types in his new body.

Cell: He's a Saiyan.

Braniac: Explain.

Cell: Saiyans are a race of extremely powerful warriors.

Braniac quiets for a moment and begins to formulate a plan.

Braniac: Computer activates capture drones. Take specimen to the analysis room.

Braniac heads to the room, and one of his drones launches directly into space. It heads toward the sun, and before reaching it, it activates its heat shields. It enters the center of the star and waits a few moments until the cell's exact location is sent to its system.

The data finally arrives, and the drone heads to the exact coordinates. Upon reaching it, it extends its hand and opens a small hole in its palm, sucking the cell into itself. Having completed its mission, the soldier returns to the ship.

Braniac's Ship Analysis Room.

The door to the room opens, and Brainiac enters. It is a small room surrounded by various tissue analysis devices and also some tubes containing still-living specimens waiting to be dissected. Brainiac looks at a table and with a small gesture of his hand, several specialized cellular analysis devices appear.

Footsteps are heard, and Brainiac turns to see where they're coming from. The source is his drone, which arrived with the specimen. The Coluan doesn't need to say anything, and his servant quickly goes to the table and places his hand on a tube, which picks up the cell and prepares it for analysis.

The drone leaves, and a screen descends from the ceiling, showing the cell in detail.

Brainiac: Fascinating.

After hours of analyzing the Saiyan cell, the course of action becomes obvious to the villain, but first, he knows he needs to take care of a possible unforeseen event.

Brainiac: Tell me: are there Kryptonians on your planet?

Cell: I've never heard of Kryptonians.

If Brainiac had emotions, he'd be smiling right now.

Earth Orbit, Two Months Later

Meanwhile, Brainiac and his computers analyzed Cell completely and managed to use it to perfectly reconstruct his original body. The specimen was restrained with a collar, which controls his energy level, and placed in stasis so he could be used in future missions.

Also during this period, the alien also discovered that the Earth of the current universe is much richer in specimens of various species than that of his home dimension. With this discovery, Brainiac devises a new plan of action: He will attack this Earth and capture one of its cities, then send his newest slave to his home Earth to destroy his greatest enemy.

The capsule containing the now-named Soldier 1 is being prepared to be sent directly through a portal created by Brainiac's ship that leads directly to the DC universe.

Cell: I already understand all the details of your plan, but I still don't understand one thing: why send him to another universe when he would be much more useful here against Goku, Gohan, and the others?

Braniac: To destroy the Kryptonian from my home universe and prevent him from coming here.

Cell: Oh, that Kal-El guy, right? Don't you think you're overestimating him?

Braniac: I'm a machine. My calculations have no margin of error, and there's a 67.8% chance Kal-El will come here to stop me. Furthermore, based on the data I've obtained from his cellular structure, I won't need any help against these so-called Saiyans.

Cell falls silent once more, somewhat afraid that his existence will be ended.

The preparations are complete, and the computer begins a countdown. At the end of the countdown, the small capsule exits the "mouth" of its mothership and enters the portal, which closes shortly after. Once this process is complete, the skull-shaped spacecraft heads toward Earth.

Orbit of Mars, DC Universe

The capsule leaves an open portal in the middle of space and heads toward Earth at an increasing speed. Upon reaching the orbit of the small Blue Planet and beginning reentry, the onboard computer alters the ship's path to head straight for its target: downtown Metropolis.

The route changes are successful, and the capsule lands in the middle of a street, causing a minor car accident and, as a result, a traffic jam.

Drivers a little closer to the alien object get out of their vehicles to investigate. Suddenly, the capsule opens, and out steps a man just over two meters tall, extremely muscular, with unnaturally spiky blond hair. He is Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan.

Notes:

So, it's important to note that this story was written in 2015, shortly before the release of Resurrection F, so the version of Broly that will be used will be the one from the old movies, not the one from the 2018 one. Despite that, it's worth noting that even if I were writing it today, I would still be using this version just because it fits the story better.

Chapter Text

Daily Planet Cafeteria, Metropolis.

It was a busy morning for the reporters at the Daily Planet: Superman defeated an army of lizardmen from the center of the Earth, and the newsroom scrambled to report the incident and all its repercussions before other newspapers.

Fortunately, Clark Kent managed to get the news to his newspaper before anyone else could gather their reporters to investigate. Everyone thinks he got it thanks to an anonymous source he said he found who saw the invasion from the beginning, but the truth is that Clark, in his other identity, was the one responsible for stopping the attack.

He managed to fool everyone except Lois Lane, who is currently trying to get the truth out of him in a small talk during their coffee break.

Lois: Tell me again how you got that story about the underground people's invasion.

Clark: I have a friend who works at a bar near where the invasion began, and he called me when he saw a lizard man.

Lois: And what's this friend of yours's name?

Clark: Hmm, Bibbo Bibbowski.

Lois: And when did you meet this Bibbo guy?

Suddenly, an explosion is heard from the street. Lois and Clark immediately get up and head straight to the newsroom to try to find out what's going on. When they get there, they run into the newspaper's head photographer, Jimmy Olsen.

Clark: What's going on, Jim?

Jimmy: Didn't you hear? A crazy guy emerged from a spaceship and is destroying things while screaming...

Broly: KAKAROT!!!

Hearing the scream, the three run to the window and find Broly furiously fighting the Metropolis police task force, specialized in metahumans, but they're having little success.

Lois: This story is much better than the invasion of the subterranean men, Clark, Jimmy, you're watching with me!

Clark: Sorry, Lois, but I'm feeling a little dizzy, so I think I'll rest at my desk.

Lois: Your call, Smallville.

Lois and Jimmy rush to the elevator, and she quickly reflects on her fellow reporter's obvious cowardice. Little does she know that Clark hasn't gone to his desk, but rather to the janitor's empty closet, where he trades his suit and glasses for a red and blue uniform, all too familiar to the people of Metropolis, and joins forces with one of Earth's greatest heroes: Superman.

Downstairs, the battle between the task force and the mighty Saiyan continues. While some are evacuating civilians, the rest are firing at Broly, but their bullets melt upon contact with the energy aura he emits. He retaliates by firing green energy balls at his opponents, evaporating some of them, injuring others, and destroying several buildings.

The task force leader, now clad in his combat armor, strong enough to defeat Blockbuster, decides it's time to put an end to this massacre. He runs up to the villain and throws a punch at him, but Broly grabs his fist and begins to squeeze.

Soldier: AHHHHHH

Broly lifts the soldier into the air and stares at him with his white eyes.

Broly: Bug.

The Legendary Super Saiyan throws him into the air so he dies from the fall. The soldier reaches a height above the skyscrapers, looks down, thinks of his family, and then begins to fall. He closes his eyes, preparing for certain death, when suddenly his speed begins to slow and he slowly lands on the ground. The leader of the Anti-Metahuman Task Force opens his eyes and finds Superman, the one responsible for saving his life.

Superman: Sorry I'm late, Captain. I was helping get the civilians out of here. Get your men out while I deal with him.

The Captain nods and turns, signaling his men to retreat. Soon, all the soldiers leave.

Superman turns and faces the furious being. He calmly approaches and gestures with his hands, demanding that his adversary not attack him.

Superman: If you calm down, we can resolve this situation so no one else gets hurt.

The collar Braniac placed around the Saiyan's neck begins to glow as its sensors detect the Man of Steel's presence.

Collar (Computer): Kryptonian detected. Activate 50% energy release.

The aura around Broly increases in brightness, and the increased power makes him more irrational than he already was. He then forms a ball of green energy and throws it at the Last Son of Krypton, who is momentarily distracted, trying to recognize the collar's voice. The ki ball explodes upon contact with Superman's torso, sending him crashing into a nearby wall, which is shattered upon impact.

The Man of Steel stands up and, realizing there is no other way to resolve the situation, flies toward the confrontation.

Goku and Chi-Chi's home, Dragon Ball Universe.

Today marks exactly one year since Goku defeated Kid Buu and brought peace to Earth. Since it's a celebratory date, he and his wife Chi-Chi decided to throw a small party at their house for all their friends. Fortunately, everyone was able to attend and are having a great time. Piccolo and Krillin are performing a karaoke duet. Hercule is telling Goten and Trunks about his great feats of strength, trying to convince them that he is the most powerful warrior in the universe, while his daughter Pan, hearing these stories, dies of embarrassment. Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Tenshiham, and Puar are chatting and reminiscing. Master Kami and Oolong are doing what they always do at these kinds of parties. And Goku and Vegeta, well, they're ravenously eating all the food Chi-Chi prepared.

Everything seems to be going well when, unexpectedly, Goku's wife arrives angrily at the table where he is eating.

Chi-Chi: Goku, stop eating like an animal. You're going to ruin all the food at the party!!!

Goku: Oh, sorry, Chi-Chi, I was so hungry, and you cook so well, and Vegeta challenged me, and...

Chi-Chi is about to explode on her husband to show her unhappiness with the ridiculous arguments he and Vegeta always start when they meet, when suddenly she notices Goku has gone silent and is starting to make a strange expression. Not only him, but also Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Gohan, Yamcha, and Tien are doing the same, creating a brief moment of silence at the party, which is then broken by Piccolo.

Piccolo: Can you feel that ki? It's coming from the desert and it even looks like Cell's ki.

Goku: But how is that possible?

Goku turns to his eldest son.

Goku: Didn't you kill him last month?

Gohan: I thought so, but there must be something left of him.

Goku gets up from the table, and Vegeta gets up soon after. Both are happy to have another opportunity to engage in combat, and confident, as they've evolved a lot since they first faced Cell. However, they're still a little worried about the possibility that the android might have done the same.

Goku: Piccolo, Vegeta, and Gohan, come with me to the desert; the rest stay here.

Most of them agree to the plan, but Goten and Trunks are a little nervous about not being able to participate. However, their mothers, Chi-Chi and Bulma, respectively, refuse to let them go, remembering what happened the last time the Warriors faced Cell.

The four heroes go outside and hold hands, even though Vegeta complains about how ridiculous it was. Goku places the index and middle fingers of his left hand on his forehead and concentrates on sensing the precise position of Cell's ki. Once he succeeds, the four are teleported to the desert.

Upon arriving, they encounter the giant tentacled skull that is Braniac's ship.

Inside the ship, Cell, still only conscious, becomes a little apprehensive upon sensing the Ki of those warriors, and Brainiac senses this. He then, with a wave of his hand, activates his ship's optical sensors, and almost instantly, a screen appears showing the heroes and their respective analyses.

Braniac: Are these the powerful warriors you warned me about?

Cell: Yes. Shall we go down to face them?

Braniac: I see no reason to.

Cell: Then what are you...

Braniac: Computer activates defense plan alpha 17.

Computer: Activating release of Kryptonian beast clone.

Outside, the four warriors are about to attack the ship when, without warning, a small capsule, similar to the one that contained Broly, emerges from its mouth. The capsule is destroyed from the inside, revealing the presence of the creature responsible for killing Superman: Doomsday.

Sky of Metropolis, DC Universe.

The battle between the two superpowered beings continues. After an exchange of powerful blows between the two combatants, Superman took the battle to the skies to minimize damage.

The two hover for a moment: Broly, restrained by the collar around his neck, is analyzing the situation and releasing some more power to the Saiyan, and Superman, who is waiting for his opponent's next move.

The moment finally arrives, and Broly, freed by the collar, charges at his enemy and attacks him with several powerful punches. However, Kal-El, using his super-speed, dodges them all and responds with more punches, which are barely felt by Broly.

Increasingly furious, the Saiyan grabs his opponent by the head and tries to crush his skull. Superman uses his heat vision to injure his hand and force him to let go. However, the villain's response is somewhat different, and he simply throws him forward.

While the hero is still flying away, Broly throws several ki balls in his direction. As soon as he recovers, Superman encounters the energy balls and destroys them with his heat vision. With this threat resolved, the Man of Steel flies away, both fists out in front of him, to strike his opponent. Broly, distracted by the thought that his enemy has been destroyed, is surprised by the arrival of the red and blue human missile, which hits him in the torso and continues to push him away. He counterattacks with a two-handed strike to Superman's back, sending the Kryptonian crashing directly to the ground below.

Superman's fall leaves a small crater in the ground and surprises some nearby civilians. Yes, the blow ended up sending him to one of the parts of the city that hadn't been evacuated. He gets up, still a little dazed, and soon after, Broly slowly descends to the ground.

For a moment, Superman catches Broly staring at the civilians with a malevolent grin, contemplating the destruction he will wreak after killing his adversary. Seeing that several lives are now at risk, Kal-El realizes he can no longer hold back and charges at his adversary, landing one of the most powerful punches of his career.

Kakarot's eternal enemy staggers back, then wipes the blood from his mouth. He becomes more enraged than ever and prepares to slaughter Superman, when suddenly the collar around his neck locks him in place.

Computer/Collar: Chances of victory have dropped to 78%. Unacceptable percentage. Activate full power release.

The collar begins to glow, and Broly's aura reemerges, brighter and more tangible.

Broly: What power...AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The glow intensifies to the point where Broly is no longer visible. Unaware of what's happening, the Man of Steel decides to attack him, but his punch to the ki barrier has no effect. Within seconds, the barrier expands exponentially and then disappears, as if in an explosion, sending Superman and some nearby civilians flying away.

The light fades, and Superman, still a little dazed, looks at his enemy and sees that his hair is much longer and that his collar has been destroyed. He doesn't understand the reason for this change, but if he knew a little more about Saiyan transformations, he would know that Broly has just become a Legendary Super Saiyan 3.

Broly looks at his hands and clenches them, feeling the extent of his newly acquired power. A semi-psychotic smile takes over his face, and he turns to see his, until then, super-powerful enemy, still somewhat shaken by the ki blast.

He charges at him, striking him with powerful punches to the torso and head with at least four times the force and speed shown previously, rendering the Kryptonian unable to react.

As soon as Broly's sequence ends, Superman attempts to deliver a punch with the same power as before, but it has no effect. Before he has a chance to throw another, Broly creates another ki ball and blasts it at close range into the Man of Steel's torso, sending him crashing into an abandoned car, which explodes shortly after.

Superman tries to get up after the blow, but before he can succeed, Broly approaches and begins to punish his body with repeated stomping. Once the Man of Steel is nearly unconscious, the Legendary Super Saiyan decides the fight is no longer worth it and forms another energy ball, larger than the others, intending to vaporize his enemy.

Suddenly, a nearby police officer begins shooting at the Saiyan. He turns around in anger, dispels the energy ball, charges at the officer, grabs him by the head, and crushes his skull. As he stands up, still badly injured, Superman sees Broly standing next to the corpse with his head crushed.

Broly: That's what I'm going to do to everyone on this planet after I kill you.

Threatening humanity like this was a mistake. Until now, Superman still had hope of defeating him without killing him, but, just like in his fight with Doomsday, Broly has just proven with his actions that he will not stop until he kills everyone on the planet, and that is something Superman cannot allow under any circumstances.

The Man of Steel, his eyes glowing red, flies toward Broly, grabs him in a bear hug, and flies with him toward the sun at speeds exceeding the speed of sound.

When the two get very close to the great star, Broly breaks free and begins attacking the Man of Steel. At first, the blows are effective due to Superman's fatigue and weakness, but the longer they spend near the Sun, the more the hero's strength returns, until he reaches the point where Broly's punches, kicks, and energy blasts no longer have any effect on the Kryptonian. Now at full power, the Man of Steel attacks Broly with his most powerful punches, the same ones used against heavyweights like Darkseid or the Anti-Monitor, and the villain can neither dodge nor absorb them with minimal damage.

In the end, both opponents are exhausted, but Broly is about to fall. Realizing this, Superman gathers his last strength in one blow to finish his adversary off once and for all. He delivers a punch so powerful that it breaks Broly's jaw and knocks him unconscious. The Kryptonian's victory over the Legendary Saiyan is finally achieved.

Superman decides to stop for a moment to absorb more solar energy to recover and then decide what to do with Broly. Suddenly, a bright glow appears, and when it disappears, the presence of the Supreme Kaioshin of Time is perceived.

Kaioshin: Superman, I need your help.

Desert, Dragon Ball Universe (before Broly's defeat)

Piccolo holds his index and middle fingers to his forehead, charging as much ki as possible to perform his most powerful technique: the Mekankosappo. In front of him is Doomsday, finishing off his attack on Gohan. The beast has already practically knocked Goku and Vegeta down with powerful punches, then charged at Gohan. All this with incredibly high speed compared to his size.

Doomsday is about to finish off his current victim when he senses the energy particles forming in Piccolo's hand, one of his many gifts acquired through his repeated deaths and resurrections. He turns, sees the Namekian, and then decides to abandon his current target to go after the next corpse he'll create. Seeing the beast rushing toward him, Piccolo almost uses his technique, but he knows he needs to gather as much ki as possible to destroy something like it. When Doomsday is a meter in front of him and about to attack, Piccolo removes his fingers and points directly at the monster.

Piccolo: Mekankosapoo!!!

The moment he utters the name of his attack, a powerful energy beam shoots from his fingers and strikes the creature in front of him square in the chest. The monster stumbles back slightly due to the force of the blow, but when the beam dissipates, it's clear he only received a few scratches. The beast roars with rage, and before Piccolo can express his surprise at the blow's ineffectiveness, the monster kneed him in the chin, which, besides slightly cutting his throat due to the exposed bone in Doomsday's knee, sends him flying.

Doomsday then punches the falling Piccolo in the back and digs his bony claws into his knuckles. The Namekian screams in pain and is soon dropped to the ground like trash, while Doomsday decides to go after someone else. Realizing he will soon be defeated or killed, Piccolo extends his hand and sends some of his energy to his companions to get up. Doomsday notices the energy movement again and turns to Piccolo again. He grabs him by the shirt and lifts him above his head. Gohan, still somewhat weakened, manages to get up and sees the injured Piccolo above Doomsday, who then immediately plants the Namekian's body on the ground, with the head being the part that is buried. The former Demon King narrowly escapes death.

Gohan: Lord Piccolo!!!

The beast hears Gohan's scream of despair and turns around, almost going to kill him again, but then he sees a being enveloped in golden energy coming toward him: it's Vegeta in his Super Saiyan form. He stops floating just above the beast and points at it.

Vegeta: Get ready, you damned worm, because now you're facing the Prince of Saiyans.

Doomsday roars in response, and Vegeta opens his hand toward him. Then a ball of yellow energy shoots out of the Saiyan's palm and heads toward his enemy. The contact between the two creates a powerful explosion. Vegeta smiles, thinking he's defeated his enemy, but as the dust settles, he sees that Doomsday is still in one piece.

Vegeta: Impossible!!!

While Vegeta is still in shock, the beast leaps toward him and only misses him because Goku manages to teleport to save his rival, taking him to Gohan's side a few hundred meters away at the last moment.

As soon as Goku arrives with Vegeta, he's about to attack the monster, but he's stopped by Gohan, who places a hand on his shoulder.

Gohan: Dad, he's too powerful for us to fight him alone. To defeat him, we need to unite.

Goku: You mean...

Gohan: Yes, we need to fuse.

Vegeta: You can do it, I'm not going to fuse with Kakarot again.

Goku: Okay, son, let's do it.

Gohan and Goku move away to do the Metamoru dance, which will fuse them, but before they can, a giant rock comes toward Gohan and hits him: an attack from Doomsday.

Angered by the monster attacking his son, Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan, and he and Vegeta fly off to attack the monster. Vegeta stays high up, attacking him with ki blasts, while Goku attacks him from in front of him with a series of punches and kicks. Unfortunately, the combination has little effect on Doomsday, other than making him more irritated and somewhat defensive, with his arms shielding him from the ki blasts.

The sequence of attacks is interrupted when Goku injures his hand punching one of the bony protrusions on the monster's chest. Doomsday sees his opportunity, grabs Goku, and throws him at Vegeta, who can't dodge. They both fall to the ground and are attacked by the monster, but at least they manage to get up before it happens.

The fight is tough for the Saiyans: every blow they land on the beast seems to have no effect, and each blow they take hurts them more and more. When all seems lost for both of them and death seems ever closer, hope appears in the form of Gohan, who catches the monster in a rear naked choke and keeps pulling him back. Doomsday tries to keep going, but Gohan uses all his remaining strength and manages to hold him back for a while.

Gohan: You need to fuse now; I won't be able to hold him for much longer.

Vegeta stands there without saying anything. The proud Saiyan refuses to become one with his rival again. Goku senses this.

Goku: Vegeta, if we don't fuse, we won't be able to stop him, and he's capable of killing everyone on Earth, including Bulma and Trunks.

Vegeta has never admitted it, but he cares deeply for his Earth family. When Kakarot reminds them of the danger they could be in if they don't kill Doomsday, Vegeta decides to put his pride aside.

Vegeta: Alright, Kakarot, let's fuse.

Goku: Thank you, Vegeta.

The two move a little further away from Doomsday and then walk a few steps in opposite directions.

Gohan: Do it quickly, I don't think I can hold out much longer.

Goku puts both arms to the left with his fingers glued together, forming something similar to a fin. Vegeta does exactly the same, but to the right.

G/V: Fuuuu...

The two approach each other in slow, spaced steps, while moving their arms to the opposite side like clockwork.

G/V: Yeah

The arms return to their original sides, only this time quickly and with closed fists. Furthermore, Goku's left knee rises to his abdomen, and Vegeta's right knee does the same.

Before the fusion is complete, Doomsday, now a little further away from the two thanks to Gohan, makes one of the bony protrusions on his back grow until it pierces Goku's son. He tries to resist the wound for a bit, but the pain is too great, and he eventually succumbs to unconsciousness and lets go of the Kryptonian monster, who runs toward Goku and Vegeta.

G/V: Ha!!!

The raised leg of both falls to the ground, and the other stretches to its respective side. The arms make a movement similar to the first stage, except with only the index fingers extended. When Vegeta and Goku's fingers meet, forming a small arc, a large, glowing device appears, marking the beginning of the transformation. All this happens seconds before Doomsday can attack them both.

The bright light blinds the beast for a moment, and when it disappears, Doomsday, even with his low intelligence, realizes that his two targets have disappeared and a new one has appeared, his blond hair standing on end.

Gogeta: I am Gogeta, the supreme Saiyan, and I will finish you, monster.

Doomsday roars once more to mark the beginning of this new battle. He charges forward with powerful punches, but Gogeta, who has Goku's speed combined with Vegeta's, dodges every blow. The fusion lands a right hook straight to Doomsday's chin, leaving him slightly dazed. Gogeta then uses instant transmission to land several kicks and punches on various areas of Doomsday's body, leaving him unable to defend himself.

The Saiyan steps back and sees his enemy, badly injured by his actions. He raises his hand, and a ball of multicolored energy forms above it. The sphere shrinks and falls to his palm, which closes around it.
Even more furious after the beating he suffered, Doomsday charges at Gogeta, and Gogeta does the same. When the two meet halfway, Gogeta dodges Doomsday's two fists, coming from above like a mighty hammer, and plunges his glowing hand into the Kryptonian monster's stomach, then rips it open. The energy released from Gogeta's hand spreads throughout the beast's body, disintegrating it from the inside out. Seconds after this blow is delivered, Doomsday is no more.

Chapter Text

Braniac's ship, above the desert, Dragon Ball Universe.

Braniac is completely surprised by Apocalypse's defeat at the hands of Gogeta.

Braniac: That was... unexpected.

Cell: I warned you they were powerful.

Braniac ignores the voice's comments in his head and turns to the console in front of him, pressing several buttons.

Computer: Activating contingency plan.

Outside the ship, Gogeta is preparing to fly toward the skull-like object to destroy it, but without warning, he transforms back into Goku and Vegeta in their base forms.

Vegeta: What the?!!! Why did we split up, Kakarot?

Goku: I don't know. I think we must have used too much ki in that final blow. We'll have to recharge.

Vegeta growls with anger and anxiety. He wants to defeat this enemy as quickly as possible, preferably before Kakarot can, but he knows he needs to recover. The two place their fists near their waists, preparing to recharge, when suddenly, several beings similar to the current Brainiac, but small and white instead of black, emerge from the "mouth" of the ship.

During the months between Brainiac and Cell's first encounter and the invasion of Earth, the Coluan did much more than clone Broly and prepare his plan; he also studied all the abilities of his new body, including the ability to create smaller versions of himself. Seeing the possibility of creating an army if the beings were controlled, Brainiac created some, cloned them to increase their numbers without having to use his own energy, and modified their minds to become more obedient. Cell nicknamed them Brainiac Jr. The Coluan didn't understand the humor.

The swarm of hundreds of Brainiacs Jr. charges straight at the two weakened Saiyan warriors. They confront them with their most powerful punches, kicks, and Ki blasts like the Kamehameha, the Big Bang, and the Gallick Gun, but for every ten they destroy, a hundred more appear. The high numbers, combined with the fatigue and injuries from the battle against Apocalypse, prove too much for the two Z Fighters. Vegeta is the first to be defeated, receiving ten energy blasts at once. Goku still holds out a little longer, thanks to his immense willpower, but he is about to fall, surrounded by some 300 small Brainiacs.

Just when all seems lost for Son Goku and the Earth, hope appears in the form of an intense glow that suddenly appears in the sky. As soon as the bright light disappears, the figure of Superman is there.

Faster than a speeding bullet, the Man of Steel slams down onto the ground, destroying several Brainiacs, and then uses his heat vision more broadly to destroy all the remaining drones.

Inside his ship, Brainiac is enraged by the sight of his worst enemy.

Braniac: Kal-El

Cell: So this is Superman? I guess you were right after all.

The Coluan is silent for a few moments, knowing that with the Kryptonian's presence there, his chances of victory have diminished significantly, but he doesn't intend to give up so easily.

Braniac: Cell, this time I will kill Kal-El, but I will need your help to deal with the Saiyan.

If Cell still had a body, he would smile.

Superman waits a few more moments for reinforcements, but when he realizes they won't come, he turns his back on the ship and goes to Son Goku.

Superman: Goku? My name is Superman, the Supreme Kai of Time sent me here to help you.

He extends his hand to help the warrior up.

Goku: You're right on time, I thought I was going to die again.

Goku grabs Superman's hand and stands up. Kal El reaches into a pocket in his cape and pulls out a seed of the gods.

Superman: Here, the Kaioshin said she'd help you.

Goku: Thank you (chewing noise).

Suddenly, a door on the side of the ship opens, Brainiac emerges, and slowly descends toward the heroes.

Superman: Get ready.

The hero turns to his old enemy and stares at him as he descends, then confidently opens his arms.

Brainiac: Hello, Kryptonian.

Superman: Brainiac.

Goku: Brainiac? That's weird, I thought he was Cell.

Upon hearing this, the Coluan's expression changes from one of emotionlessness to one of arrogance.

Cell: But I'm here too, Goku. See, Brainiac and I have completely united, and now we will destroy you and your new friend.

BrainianCell: If you want, you can call us BrainiacCell. I know, it's not very creative, but it will do.

Kakarot's expression also changes to a serious one. He transforms into a Super Saiyan and then enters a fighting stance, as does Superman, who does the same. BrainiacCell smiles arrogantly and charges at them both.

The two heroes attack together, thinking they'll stop him. Superman attacks from the right with several powerful punches, while Goku does the same from the left. Unfortunately, this technique doesn't work against someone who possesses the skills of some of Dragon Ball's greatest warriors combined with the analytical mind of an alien computer, and he can block attacks from both sides with his arms.

BrainiacCell retreats a few inches, places his hands on the backs of each hero's neck, and makes them slam their heads together. With both still stunned, he strikes Superman with the side of his arm, forcing him to retreat slightly, then grabs Goku and throws him toward the caped crusader, sending them flying away.

Looking at his fallen and humiliated enemies like that, BrainiacCell laughs. Goku, hearing the laughter, becomes enraged and flies headlong toward the villain. He throws a punch at Goku's green face, but the blow is deflected and countered with a powerful punch to the stomach, knocking the wind out of Goku. BrainiacCell then lands a sequence of one left and three rights to Goku's face and then finishes with a powerful double-handed strike to the chin, sending him flying backward.

Just as he sees his teammate being sent flying, Superman, still behind, attacks BrainiacCell with heat vision beams, which are intercepted by a force field the villain possesses. Superman increases the power of the beam and manages to penetrate the shield, hitting his opponent in the shoulder.

BrainiacCell: (screams in pain)

While he's healing his shoulder, Superman flies at his enemy and directs his fist at his face, but BrainiacCell grabs his hand and then punches him in the stomach and backhands him, sending him flying. He extends his hand, preparing a blow that could end the Kryptonian's life, when suddenly, Goku teleports and kicks him in the back of the head.

BraniacCell ignores Superman for a moment, turns to Goku, and punches him, knocking him back a few steps. Then he points both hands at Goku and releases a blast of fire-like energy, knocking him back a little further.

Preparing to finish the Saiyan, BrainiacCell strangely feels someone tapping him on the shoulder. He turns and sees Superman punch him in the jaw so hard that he flies upward.

Goku teleports to strike the villain while he's still in the air, but when he gets there, BrainiacCell grabs the hero's arm, sends him straight to the ground, and then points his hand at Superman.

BraniacCell: Gallick Gun!!

As soon as he speaks, a red beam shoots out from the palm of his hand and hits the Man of Steel.

Goku, who sees everything from afar, despairs and flies toward his teammate. He finds him badly injured and with a bit of smoke coming from his clothes, but still alive.

Goku: Are you okay?

Superman: I'll stay. He's too strong for us to stop him by attacking. We need a plan.

The two think for a moment, while BrainiacCell floats and stares at them, curious about their next move. After a few seconds, Goku breaks the silence.

Goku: And what about those red beams you used? They injured him. If you can fire a bigger blast, maybe we can destroy him.

Superman: It's impossible. I'm too injured to use a blast like that.

Goku: In that case, I have an idea, but I need you to distract him for a while while I recover.

Superman nods and charges toward his enemy, while Goku begins to recharge his ki.

The Kryptonian flies until he reaches Brainiac Cell's height and then pauses for a moment.

BrainiacCell: So, what were you doing down there? Developing a strategy? That's useless. Your abilities and Goku's are far inferior to mine. I am the perfect union of brain and brawn. I am superior to you in every way. There's no way you can win.

Superman: You'll be surprised by the result.

Irritated by his opponent's supposed arrogance, BrainiacCell charges at him and unleashes several punches. Superman takes every blow but remains standing, knowing he must resist so Goku can defeat the villain. Surprised by the hero's resistance, BrainiacCell unleashes another flurry of blows so fast he can't defend, but the Man of Steel still persists. Unable to understand how Kal-El hasn't fallen yet, he raises his hands to his forehead and gathers as much ki as possible.

BrainiacCell: Masenko!!!

A blast of yellow energy shoots from his hands and goes directly toward the Last Son of Krypton, forming a smokescreen. As soon as it disappears, the figure of Superman with his arms crossed in an "X" is revealed. BrainiacCell is stunned.

BrainiacCell: But how?

Superman: My turn.

Clark Kent ponders all the damage Brainiac could do to this Earth and his own. With this in mind, he gathers his last strength and attacks the still-shocked villain with a flurry of powerful punches to the torso and head, as well as small, localized bursts of heat vision. BrainiacCell manages to dodge a few blows, but most do serious damage, sending him crashing to the ground.

Superman: Goku, now!!!

Heeding his teammate's warning, Goku stops charging his ki and cups his hands near his waist.

Goku. Kame...Hame...

A blue ball of energy forms in the palm of his hand, but he holds it in, as his target is still lying on the ground, and if he lets go, he's likely to miss.

Every second he waits is painful, but after a while, the villain gets up. As soon as he stands up, he sees Goku with an intense blue glow emanating from his hands and knows it's not good.

Goku: Ha!!!!!

Goku puts his hands together toward BrainiacCell, and a blast of blue energy shoots out. Goku manages to maintain it for exactly ten seconds, but after that, it disappears, and to the Saiyan's delight, nothing is there: The villain has been disintegrated.

Superman flies to his friend to congratulate him.

Superman: You did it, Goku.

Goku: That was easier than what... Wait, I can still feel his ki.

The two look at the spot where BrainiacCell was and see an amorphous mass emerge and begin to take human form: He's regenerating.

Goku: Damn, I guess the Kamehameha wasn't enough.

For a split second, the Man of Steel despairs, unsure of what to do, when suddenly an idea pops into his head: if Goku's blow didn't completely destroy him, perhaps a mass of energy several times the size of Earth could.

Superman: Goku, this time I need you to distract him. I know what to do.

Goku nods, and Superman flies away. As soon as he leaves, BrainiacCell's regeneration ends.

BrainiacCell: So the Kryptonian left you here to die, Saiyan?

Goku: I don't need his help to destroy you.

He transforms into an SSJ2 and gets into a battle stance.

Goku: Bring it on.

The two fly toward each other, and the final confrontation begins. BrainiacCell attacks the Saiyan with several punches aimed at various parts of his body, but Goku manages to defend himself from most of the blows and even retaliate a few. Had this confrontation occurred at the beginning, Goku would have been lost, but the injuries from the android/Coluan fusion, combined with Kakarot's increased power, prove to be a great advantage for Earth's protector.

This cycle of attack and defense seems never-ending, but it comes to an end when Goku sees a blue speck approaching. He steps back, places his fingers on his forehead, smiles, and teleports away.

BrainiacCell is confused for a few seconds, after all, he knows Goku would never shy away from a fight, especially one smiling. The answer to his confusion comes in the form of the Man of Steel, who, coming at extremely high speed, grabs the villain from behind and blasts him off into space. BrainiacCell tries to break free, but Superman's strength is immense, especially when he needs to save his planet. Only when they're almost in orbit around the Sun does he release him.

BrainiacCell: So this is how it ends, huh, Kryptonian? You alone against the most powerful being in the universe.

Just as he finishes his sentence, almost ironically, Goku appears on the teleporter.

Superman: It's the end of the line, Brainiac.

Almost in despair, BrainiacCell goes all-in against his enemies. Only now, unlike at the beginning of the battle, Goku and Superman are working almost as one.

The villain charges at Superman, but Goku attacks him with ki blasts from behind. When he turns to attack the Saiyan, Superman hits him with heat vision, and when the villain turns toward him, he is met with a powerful punch to the face. He staggers back and is then hit with a series of blows by Goku, who finishes by placing both hands above his forehead in a triangle.

Goku: Taioken.

A powerful light appears and blinds BrainiacCell. When he finally regains his sight, the two heroes are in front of him. At the same time, they punch the villain in the jaw, breaking his neck and sending him straight into the Sun.

While Cell's body is heading toward the Sun, Brainiac's mind begins to analyze the probabilities.

Brainiac: Time from neck repair to return to movement equals T minus 16 seconds. Time until entry into the Sun equals T minus 12 seconds. Chance of survival from a plunge into the Sun: 0.0007%. I must be preserved by sending consciousness back to the ship.

Cell finally regains consciousness.

Brainiac: Goodbye, Cell.

Cell: Nooooo ...

The two heroes watch the body enter the flames and are certain the job is finally done.

On Brainiac's ship, the Coluan's consciousness travels to one of his backup bodies, which are stored in capsules. He leaves it, goes straight to the ship's control console located in the ship's command center, and finally programs the ship to return to its home universe.

Brainiac: Next time, Kryptonian. Next time.

The ship opens a portal in front of it and then enters it.

Near the Sun's orbit, Superman and Goku are resting a bit before returning to Earth.

Goku: So it seems this is the end for Cell and Brainiac.

Superman: Not Brainiac. I heard his ship activate and then disappear. He probably returned to my universe, but the important thing is that we managed to prevent him from succeeding here.

Suddenly, a very familiar glow appears, and the Supreme Kai of Time appears.

Kaioshin of Time: Hi Superman, time to go home. Oh, hi Goku.

Goku: Have we met?

Kaio: Of course...

Kaio remembers that in this time period, he hasn't met her yet.

Kaio: No, we haven't. It's just that you're kind of famous in the future, so I kind of know who you are because of that. Nice to meet you, I'm the Supreme Kai of Time.

Goku: Nice to meet you, Madam Kaioshin.

Kaioshin opens a portal to the DC universe.

Superman: Well, I guess that's it. It was a pleasure working with you, Goku.

Goku: Likewise.

The two shake hands and Superman enters the portal, which closes shortly after.

Kaioshin: Oh, before I forget, here are some Senzu Beans for you to give to your friends.

Goku: Thank you very much, Madam Kaioshin.

Chronoa smiles and then disappears in a glow as bright as the one that erupted when she first appeared. As soon as she's gone, Goku teleports back to Earth.
