Chapter Text
Once upon a time, on planet Earth, when all continents were one, united by a name and ruled by a single, glorious kingdom blessed by the sun. There once existed a prince. He was handsome, dashing even, a splendid warrior, and a dedicated scholar, but none of his many many virtuous qualifications were his greatest virtue. It was his care and love for his people. Making him beloved by the folk of the Earth.
One seemingly unremarkable full moon night when the moon shone as brightly and gloriously like a shining pearl, a beautiful fledgling goddess descended from the heavens. Attracted by the untamed beauty of the land and it differing customs, she visited the royal gardens of the land, a place frequented by the prince of our tale.
Upon seeing the prince, she fell in love instantaneously. Blinded by love, the angel made the treacherous journey countless times to see the face of her beloved prince again. Careful not to be discovered, she abandoned her home, the kingdom of the heavens, itself just to admire him from a far. Inevitably, one night, the prince discovered his godly admirer, flatter and amused by her antics, he couldn't bring himself to be enraged by such a pure and beautiful creature, all though he still scolded her for her recklessness. He offered her his friendship and allowed her to return to his gardens.
Enthused by those words, the young goddess traveled to Earth more frequently, and the prince charmed by her personality, increasingly looked forward to their night meetings. They talked about their lives, the differences between their cultures, and their desires. They toured the vast garden together. Soon, the prince took the goddess to other places on Earth, marveling at the sand, the ocean, the animals, and the trees, but most of all, the people. Over time, the love between the two blossomed like roses in a garden. Finally, the prince asked the goddess for her hand in marriage.
That would be the classic ending: the protagonists marry, uniting their two worlds with their love.
.
.
.
But reality is rarely as forgiving as fiction and there are rarely any happy endings.
Many voices were raised in protest at having a queen from the kingdom of the heavens.
The strongest was that of a sorceress, who had known the prince from childhood and coveted his heart. Jealous of the couple's happiness, she sold her soul to darkness, for a chance that if she herself ascended godhood the prince would offer his hear to her instead.
With her new powers granted by darkness, she bewitched the minds of all the inhabitants of the land so that they would rise up in war against the kingdom of the heavens.
Only the prince resisted the spell, managing, after overcoming a series of obstacles, to come to the rescue of his beloved. Unable to fight his own people, his comrades, his mentors, his dearest of friends, the prince attempted to flee with his beloved, but the jealous newly turned witch refused to allow it.
In her rage she aimed her spell at the goddess, only for the prince to take the fatal blow.
In her heartbreak the the goddess felled herself to reunite with her beloved dying by his side.
And thus the two kingdoms collapsed into ruin.

Chapter Text
It was a peaceful moonlit eve, you could even see the morning star in the sky, ideal for a romantic lovers' reunion, rather than the escape route of the increasingly infamous jewel thief Sailor Earth, nicknamed Tuxedo Mask, as known by the public for dashing attire A cross between a tuxedo and a formal naval officer's suit, the black jacket featured gold buttons, a white lapel with two black stripes, and matching cuffs. Held up by rectangular, fringeless epaulettes was a black cape lined with red.
The jacket was open, revealing his white shirt and vest, plus a green straw, where he wore a golden brooch. On it was the planetary symbol for Earth, a circle crossed by a horizontal and vertical line, representing the four corners of the world. Inlaid in the east was a blue jadeite, in the south a yellow nephrite, in the north a green zoisite, in the west a lilac kunzite, and finally in the middle, a black onyx. A gold medal resembling a cross hung from a red ribbon around his neck. His legs were covered by black pants and black shoes with a golden toe reminiscent of the sun. On his hands were white gloves with two gold accessories. His face was hidden by a white mask with a black border and a jewel in the center. To complement his look, he wore a black top hat on his head. His current heist, Ponte Vecchio, a jewelry store known for its elegant and sophisticated designs with an emphasis on precious stones. They had apparently caught his attention. His improving skills were noticeable.
Months ago, security alarms would have alerted the police to his presence, but now he was escaping with his loot in complete silence. Suddenly, a silver, crescent-shaped boomerang violently cut through the bag containing the stolen jewelry. The weapon flew back to its owner, a young woman with platinum-blonde hair loose except for the wavy side swept loose braids framed by a red bow, whose face was hidden by a red mask, dressed in a blue sailor suit with red ribbons.
"I am the beautiful masked guardian, guided by the light of the moon! Fighter for justice and protector of the night! Sailor V! Suffer the divine punishment of love for your misdeeds!" Without hesitation, Sailor Earth tightly grabbed what remained of his loot and leaped with all his might at the masked heroine. A confrontation with her was the worst-case scenario. Of course, thanks to previous encounters with security guards and police officers when she couldn't deactivate the alarms, her fighting skills had greatly improved, but against someone with superpowers, it was a different story. Furious at being ignored, Sailor V began chasing the thief. She had to admit, he was very fast, almost out of breath.
Fortunately, she had a few tricks to put an end to Tuxedo Mask's criminal career. - -Crescent Boomerang - She threw her gun at the thief again, but he intercepted the attack by throwing a red rose as if it were a dart. How corny and extravagant could he be. - Surrender, Tuxedo Mask, otherwise I'll be forced to resort to harsher methods. Although it didn't seem like it, Sailor Earth was truly scared. In addition to catching criminals, Sailor V was famous for defeating monsters that had been tormenting people for a few years. Circulating on social media were the creative ways the masked heroine dealt with these beings, from dismemberment to being melted with toxic smoke. It wasn't a pleasant way to leave this world, even if you were a monster.
He had to flee quickly from her, not far away. There were some forgotten tunnels, he could use them, but he had to stay out of Sailor V's radar. He threw another rose at her, this time in the direction of her eyes. He didn't intend to blind her, just to be able to run toward his escape route without incident. Unfortunately for him, the heroine was able to dodge it. Angry, she managed to summon some kind of chains with links shaped like shiny golden hearts, which bound the tuxedo-clad thief, preventing him from escaping justice. "I finally caught you, Tuxedo Mask!" Sailor V couldn't help but gloat. Once again, she managed to outwit the police, catching the troublesome Tuxedo Mask. She could already read tomorrow's headlines: "The great and beautiful Sailor V apprehends the brazen thief Tuxedo Mask, saving the jewels. Doesn't she deserve a statue for her heroism?" "Oh, Sailor V caught Tuxedo Mask!" A boy's voice interrupted her reverie.
"Sailor V, do you have anything to tell my subscribers about the robbery you just foiled?" The boy named Gurikazu Amano held a smartphone, which he used to record the fight between the two masked men live for his thousands of followers. Although annoyed by Amano's intrusion, Sailor V wasn't going to turn down the opportunity to brag a little, so with her best smile, she recounted the events of the night, as if on one of her usual night patrols, she noticed Tuxedo Mask in the middle of a robbery at the Ponte Vecchio jewelry store. Meanwhile, Sailor Earth took advantage of Sailor V's distraction answering more questions to break the chains with her roses.
She barely managed to free her limbs and ran to the first sewer she saw. "Where is he?" Sailor V shouted, finally noticing the absence of her prey in her trap. "I'm sorry, V-Chan, but I think Tuxedo Mask got away from you," replied Usagi Tsukino, a normal fourteen-year-old girl and a fan of Sailor V, in her room. She watched the entire fight from her computer. She was about to sleep when she received a notification that AmanoVQuest was livestreaming another of her heroine's adventures. If she was honest, she was glad Tuxedo Mask escaped. After all, he wasn't a yakusa or a monster, just a cute boy who made some mistakes. Surely with the help of someone like her, he could get back on track.
"Usagi, are you still awake? Tomorrow is school?" Her mom opened her door, annoyed. She didn't like it when she and Shingo, her little brother, stayed up late, especially if it was for something like watching celebrity videos and playing video games. "Yes, sorry, I hadn't finished my homework yet," Usagi lied. She didn't like doing it, but her mom didn't understand the importance of supporting her heroine, Sailor V. Even if she couldn't fight by her side, Usagi felt that if she cheered her on, even behind a screen, Sailor V was capable of anything. "And the homework was about "Sailor V to the Rescue: Theft from Ponte Vecchio"?" Her mom asked after reading the title of the stream. "It's about current news. And what's more current than Sailor V foiling a robbery tonight?" Usagi replied, beads of cold sweat falling on her forehead. If she didn't convince her mom, she'd almost certainly confiscate her computer.
"I hope so, Usagi. You barely make it to school on time, falling asleep at the right time. Mugen Academy is one of the most prestigious academies in all of Japan. It was a stroke of luck that you got a scholarship thanks to your drawings." "I know, Mom." Usagi didn't need to be reminded how miraculous it was that a lazy idiot like her managed to get into that high-performance school for rich and famous people, but she tried not to get discouraged. After all, two of the most important people in her life attended there: her best friend Naru-chan and her other biggest idol, Mina-Love. "Okay, turn that off and go to bed, okay?" Mom sighed as she closed the door.
Of course Usagi did, after reading the comments. Most of them were supportive of Sailor V, only a few criticized her for letting Tuxedo Mask escape, there were some happy like her for the escape of the man in a tuxedo and mask. They even shipped him with Sailor V. With Sailor V! Please, maybe she couldn't explain, but she knew that dark mysterious thieves were not V-chan's type, but the shining gentle and mature knights. She wrote a comment thanking Amano for the broadcast, after all, without him she would not be able to see firsthand the adventures of Sailor V. Well, on one occasion she had been able to see her idol in real life, but Usagi barely remembered him. Honestly, she envied Amano, she was lucky enough to regularly bump into Sailor V in action, to the point of being able to create her own YouTube channel where she posted videos of Sailor V's battles, her number of subscribers growing along with the fame of the heroine in a sailor suit. He was also very funny and good at video games. Thanks to his tutorials on his secondary video game channel, he was able to defeat that Legend of Zelda boss.
With nothing more interesting to read, Usagi turned off her computer and went to bed to sleep. Her mind transported her to a strange room made entirely of marble whiter than snow, the walls decorated only with mirrors. A sad voice echoed inside the largest and most luxurious mirror. She wanted to go over and help it. But her legs were too short; she couldn't reach it. The alarm clock rang sooner than her body could recover, but if she didn't get up now, her mom would scold her for staying up late watching Sailor V videos. With a superhuman effort, she managed to make it to the bathtub, and the hot water finally woke her up. She quickly dressed in the red and green sailor uniform with the Mugen insignia, arranged her socks so they were loose, imitating Mina-Love's style. She dried and styled her light brown hair in its usual wavy, pigtailed hairstyle.
Looking in the mirror, she remembered her dream. Normally, she wouldn't think anything of talking mirrors, but nowadays, it was almost normal to encounter monsters straight out of a horror movie in the middle of the street. Did it have some meaning? Was she going to be attacked by a mirror monster? "Usagi, come here!" Breakfast! - Well, her dream could wait. Breakfast was already served on the table. She kissed her dad good morning and thanked her mom for the food. Shingo, thanks to his short hair, didn't take that long to get ready; he had already sat down. He was grumbling in front of his phone. Apparently, one of his friends told him about V-chan's adventure last night, which was broadcast on AmanoVQuest, but since he fell asleep early like a baby, he missed it. Usagi didn't waste the opportunity to brag to Shigo; her little brother was always obnoxious, reminding him how smart and athletic he was in contrast to his disappointing older sister. That's why she enjoyed rubbing it in his face that she had already seen the video, even if she risked being discovered by her mom. But apparently, it was her lucky day, because her mom only scolded Shingo for using his phone at the table. Encouraged, she arrived safely and punctually to class.
Another sign it was her day. During recess, she was the center of attention among her group of friends for watching last night's live stream. Only Umino, her friend with thick glasses and messy hair, had also seen it, but she explained things better. "I wish I were also a superhero like Sailor V," said Kuri, her somewhat short friend with her dark brown hair cut in a bob. She was a very diligent student, attending an after-school seminar. "But you'd have to kill those horrible monsters," exclaimed Yumiko, a girl with straight, shoulder-length black hair. She loved shopping and reading romance novels. "But famous series like Sailor V," said Umino. Throughout the conversation and the rest of the day, Naru remained silent.
Usagi knew she only acted like that when something was worrying her. On the way out, she tried to ask if anything was bothering her. At first, Naru denied it, but with a little prodding, she admitted to being worried about her mother's new store. The area where it was located had suffered multiple robberies, with hers being the only one yet to be robbed. Naru believed this situation was due to some conspiracy among the security guards to turn off the security cameras, preventing any record of the thefts. Usagi's father also thought the same. During dinner after covering the robbery of another jewelry store in the same area, not only the cameras failed, but every other security system as well. But he believed that sooner or later Sailor V would come to the rescue. Of course, lately, kicking monsters' butts was taking up her schedule.
And as Naru mentioned, they had no way of contacting her. If even Sailor V showed up, even for a brief moment, or if someone similar to her, like that other girl in red who incinerated ghosts, the robbers would give up immediately. That was the answer! "Naru, let's be Sailor V!" "What?" - "If we dress up like Sailor V, the thieves will think we have superpowers too, and they'll be so scared they'll run away," Usagi exclaimed excitedly. "It's actually a good idea, Usagi-chan. Last month in Yeoju, some grave robbers were driven away by the red Sailor V." Out of nowhere, Umino appeared, scaring Usagi and Naru, who, annoyed, lightly hit him on the head. "Hey, I just wanted to help," Umino said through tears, a bump sticking out on his head.
"You're not helping by terrorizing us with your presence," Naru replied, still angry. "You almost gave me a heart attack, Umino," Usagi complained breathlessly. "I was trying to say that your idea wasn't so crazy. The Sailor V costume can give you authority and respect." Umino imagined himself as Sailor U, defeating the bad guys and earning the appreciation of his friends. He adored them, but he'd be lying if he denied that he'd like to be treated better by them. "Just think about it." Naru imagined herself chasing away the thieves as Sailor N, saving the store, and helping her mother, who with great effort had managed to turn her small jewelry store into a successful franchise known for its high-quality gems. She wasn't going to let anyone shatter her mother's dreams. Usagi also wanted to support her friend, but hopefully, she could be like her idol, Sailor V.
Her most fervent wish was to help people. "We need to get organized. We can ask Kanami and Momoko for help, maybe include Yumiko and Kumi." The larger the group, the more intimidating we'll look. This was one of the few times Usagi agreed with Umino: if they were all together, they'd be unstoppable. Although he wouldn't admit it, it was after Naru, his closest friend. The three had known each other since preschool; they both enjoyed playing video games, watching Super Sentai, and cosplaying. Activities Naru deemed unladylike. If only Umino weren't so boastful about his good grades, knowing how stupid she was, how inexplicable her transfer to Mugen was compared to Umino's excellent grades, which earned him a scholarship for academic excellence.
She would value their friendship more. She immediately went to Yumiko and Kuri, who were still close to the school, unlike Hanami and Momoko, who attended her old school. In her usual effervescent manner, she told them her plan. Kuri immediately saw herself on the front page of the newspaper titled "Sailor K Solves the Case." Yumiko, on the other hand, wasn't so sure; she was terrified of being surrounded by criminals late at night. She didn't even know how to get her parents' permission to go out so late. But like her best friend, the desire to rise to fame as Sailor Y, Sailor V's partner, was stronger than her insecurities.
Without them realizing it, a pretty girl with short black hair and blue-framed glasses was listening to them. She didn't do it on purpose; eavesdropping was impolite; she simply liked Sailor V, so she was inevitably drawn into the conversation. For a brief moment, she allowed herself to dream of being Sailor A, the beloved ally of justice and protector of the innocent. Surely being a hero would make you accepted by everyone.
You would never feel alone, nor would anyone speak ill of you. You would be loved by the whole world. "Is something wrong, Ami-chan?" A person with a strong French accent and a sweet cherry blossom fragrance approached her gently. "Björn," she sighed, unable to stop herself from blushing. The sun's rays bathed Björn's strawberry blonde hair in gold. They looked angelic made of flesh and blood, with their long eyelashes, porcelain skin, and rosy lips. "It's late. Let's go home together, Ami. After all, borta bra, men hemma bäst."
She gently took their hand. Kuri watched their entire interaction with disgust. To some, it seemed like nothing, just a boy being kind enough to escort an antisocial girl like Mizuno home so no monsters would attack her. But the boy in question was Björn Johansson, the prince of Mugen Academy. They were a foreigner, born in Switzerland, but lived mostly in England. His family was descended from ancient nobility and was one of the richest in the world. Aside from being incredibly handsome, he stood out for his high grades, his elegant bearing, and his skill at playing the piano. He even had the privilege of performing concerts in several prestigious amphitheaters, sometimes with other outstanding musicians, such as Michiru Kaiō.
Naturally, someone like that would be very inquisitive when interacting with others; he couldn't simply smile or hold hands with just anyone. They acted with a certain distance and pride, otherwise people would believe the could easily win their favor. So what did they see in Mizuno's unpleasantness to make them so pleasant towards her? While she could admit that she was a genius among geniuses with a beautiful face, these two qualities were wasted on a creature as retarded as Mizuno Ami. She was always as still as a statue, and when he managed to get her to talk one time when they both attended the same high school, he had to listen to her talk only about equations and computer programs, in a tone as monotonous as her face was expressionless. Not wanting to get any more upset, she left with her friends. Now the priority was Naru; later, she would deal with Mizuno.
Usagi sent a message to Kaname and Momoko to meet at the Crown Parlor Karaoke;. It was part of the successful Crown chain of establishments in Juuban, run by the Furuhata family. They served the best cakes and chocolate milkshakes. She could also meet Motoki-niisan, the Furuhata's eldest son, a very handsome boy who always treated her well. He helped his family by working mostly at the Crown Game Center, but she had also seen him running Crown Karaoke on several occasions.
So her hopes weren't in vain. Kaname and Momoko were waiting for them at their favorite table near the window. They had been her friends since elementary school, and until the previous year, they had attended Juban High School with Naru and Umino. Kaname was tall and slender, with freckles on her face. She seemed very calm, but when she got comfortable, she could be very direct. Momoko was shorter and somewhat stocky.
She loved idols and dreamed of becoming one someday. She and Usagi often sang Mina-Love's hits at the top of their lungs at Crown Karaoke. Perhaps with a bit too much enthusiasm, she explained her plan. Kaname looked incredulous at what she said, but Momoko's eyes shone like stars. She could already see herself atop a mountain made of her defeated enemies, Sailor M. She practically hugged Usagi, swearing that together they would protect Osa-P and honor Sailor V.
Shocked, Kaname tried to reason with the whole group. They didn't have magical powers like Sailor V, hell, none of them were especially athletic, except for Naru, who played tennis with Rui and liked to play volleyball. She would lose her breath after just five minutes of running, while Usagi and Umino were experts at tripping on perfectly smooth surfaces. And while she didn't spend much time with Yumiko and Kuri to get to know them.
Their physical abilities, none of them seemed to pose much of a threat. Was a sailor suit really enough to turn you into Sailor V and defeat the bad guys?
But everyone was too caught up in their daydreams to pay attention to Kaname's good points about how their idea was terrible and that it was better to leave the task to the proper authorities. In the end, Kaname agreed, only because someone had to have a phone with speed dial to call the police.
"But where are we going to get seven Sailor V costumes before nightfall?"
Those words fell like cold water on their heads, just as Kaname's sensible advice hadn't. It was already very late, almost all the stores were about to close, and under no circumstances should they wear their school uniforms to a battle. What would they do? Luckily, Usagi found a solution. She kept enough Sailor V cosplay outfits at home to equip her friends.
They left for home; luckily, her parents were away that day. Dad was covering an important interview with some politicians about security in the wake of the monsters, and Mom was having a meeting with her team to promote a new mascot created by her idol, Mina-Love. She didn't know the details, despite his insistence, because Mom claimed the information was confidential and would violate her contract with her client. Only Shingo remained at home, but he was immersed in a League of Legends campaign, so he wouldn't threaten to rat her out.
With "C'est la vie" playing on his music player, they prepared to be a masked vigilante for a day. Years of cosplay filled Usagi's closet with enough Sailor V outfits in different colors and sizes, plus the posters plastered on the walls, dolls, comics, and other accessories to open her own store dedicated to the superheroine. But it wasn't her fault; sellers often lied about the characteristics of their products or they didn't look anything like the photo. She always forgot to return them, and honestly, they weren't too expensive to be a priority on her to-do list. And honestly, it was the best. The one that was too tight fit Kaname like a glove, the other one that was too loose accentuated Momoko's figure, the one with the very short skirt looked sensational on Kuri, and the one with the bra that always made her breasts stick out, to her father's horror, Yumiko wore it chastely.
Naru looked great, not just because she was wearing her best Sailor V outfit; she also had a perfectly conditioned body. A pretty face with wavy auburn hair and blue-green eyes. A blue bow decorated her head, perfectly imitating Mina-Love's red bow. If anyone could be Sailor V, it would definitely be Naru.
Absent-minded, she failed to notice Umino taking the super-special limited-edition Sailor V outfit out of his secret trunk, which she begged for Dad as a birthday present. Now her precious thing was desecrated by Umino's thick limbs. Instead of supporting her, her friends congratulated Umino, saying he was almost as cute as Sailor V. What did he do to deserve such a betrayal?
"Usagi-chan, what are you going to wear?" Naru asked.
"To pay tribute in style to the extraordinary Sailor V and protect Osa-P, I'll be wearing this incredibly glamorous outfit." Excitedly, she opened a pink box, revealing her favorite costume: a splendid pink satin sailor outfit with glitter, a stuffed bunny nestled in the middle of a red bow covered in sequins.
"It looks like something an elementary school girl would wear," Kuri opined, disgusted by Usagi's childishness. Damn, it was too much to ask her to act maturely in such a complex situation.
"Usagi-chan, how old were you, at that age, did you buy that costume?" Momoko's arm was covering her eyes from the terrible brightness of the outfit.
"Who in their right mind mixes glitter with sequins! It only makes it look cheap and tacky!" Fashion was very important to Yumiko; her dream was to become a famous clothing designer when she grew up. Under no circumstances would she allow herself to appear on the cover of a magazine with such a shabbily dressed girl. Her reputation was at stake.
"Maybe you shouldn't bring something so valuable to a fight." Naru would have preferred to use the word "horrible," but she wouldn't be the one to hurt her best friend's feelings, especially if she had devised this plan to help her and her mother. "Why don't you choose this one? It's simpler? That way you won't regret it if it gets damaged." From the pile of clothes, she picked up a blue suit with a magenta bow on the chest and a circular gold brooch, much more presentable. No matter how much she tried to sound comforting, Usagi looked like she was about to cry. She looked at Umino for support to convince Usagi not to wear that ridiculous outfit without hurting her.
- It's incredible, this is the collaboration that the Hello Bunny stuffed animal company did! It's very difficult to get, seriously.
USAAA, you're sooo lucky, im jeeeaaloussss
"I know that's why. Today I'll use it to protect my friends with style." Usagi mimicked Sailor V's pose.
"Umino, I hate you," Naru thought as she smacked the boy with thick glasses against the hard head for the second time.
In a high-end shopping mall, in the darkness, a group of thieves tried to blend in with her. They worked on commission. A month ago, two women appeared in their hideout, acting as intermediaries for a mysterious client, offering them good pay in exchange for "borrowing" precious stones for their boss. Although it wasn't unusual for their employers to hide their identities and send their henchmen to hire them, these women gave him a bad feeling. Their faces, their bodies, and even their voices were too perfect to be human. Perhaps seeing so many monsters on the news made him paranoid, but oftentimes, caution was what kept you alive in this profession. Getting rid of those intruders didn't seem like a difficult task, but even before he could act, one of his guys tried to lift the skirt of the pink-haired woman dressed as a Gothic Lolita. He didn't know how, but that damned creature grabbed his arm and snapped it like a twig. Frightened, he shot her, only for the bitch, dressed in a black three-piece suit, to dodge the bullets with a real sword. Realizing that if he rejected his offer, they would be eliminated, he accepted the job. Anyway, they needed him urgently; with Sailor V, stealing became dangerous even for good thieves like him. On top of that, that Tuxedo Mask gave them competition, robbing first the stores they'd spent weeks researching to pull off the perfect operation. That lunatic always returned the stolen jewelry, leaving a pink note. Clearly, he was some kind of madman who did these kinds of things in search of thrills. He wasn't like him, a poor soul in need of a decent living without having to get up before sunrise to feed the animals, clean the barn, and milk the cows; on his family's gruesome farm in the middle of nowhere. Had he been born into a wealthy city family, he would never have been forced to turn to this life of crime to escape the torturous countryside.
This wasn't the first time they'd broken into this mall for the jewelry; somehow, the woman with the sword managed to knock out the guards and turn off the cameras, making things easier. Although he didn't bother to speak to them and always looked at them with disgust, he preferred her more than his cotton candy-haired colleague. She was perpetually smiling and charming, never showing anger, even at the guy who tried to spy on her underwear. Her syrupy tone sent more chills down his spine than any pair of contemptuous eyes. Fortunately, he never accompanied them on their work; he only appeared to give orders and take the loot.
Years of experience allowed him to open the locks and chains that kept the doors of the only jewelry store they hadn't visited sealed. Afterward, his "boss" would probably order them to rob jewelry stores in another area. He didn't like to go so often to the same place they had already robbed, as it increased the chances of being arrested by the police. But according to cotton candy-haired, his "boss" was a very thorough person who would leave no stone unchecked. Of course, probably because that idiot didn't risk his neck in every robbery, otherwise he wouldn't be so thorough.
The jewels were missing from the glass shelves. Damn, with so many robberies in the same place, surely the scared owner had hidden them all in a safe, instead of just the most valuable ones. Logically, he had to be there if he wanted to make money selling them, but having to search for them would have meant wasting precious time getting away from Sailor V's map.
Suddenly, all the lights turned on, revealing five girls in sailor suits standing on top of a display case.
"We are beautiful masked warriors! Comrades of Sailor V! Fighting the bad guys!" shouted a red-haired girl in a blue sailor suit, a green bow in the center, another bow in her hair, and a matching mask. "I'm Sailor N-"
"I'm Sailor Y!" "Screamed a different girl in a light blue sailor suit with a ribbon in the center and her straight black hair colored red. A red mask also complemented her.
"I'm Sailor M!" cried a chubby girl in a red sailor suit, with a bubblegum pink ribbon in the center and a bubblegum pink mask. Because her wavy hair was cut in a pixie cut, her bow wasn't tied behind her hair, but with a hairpin on the right side of her head.
"I'm Sailor K!" bellowed a skinny, lanky girl with a stick, wearing a purple sailor suit. Her mask, the ribbon on her chest, and the one on her shoulder-length black hair were pink.
"No, I'm Sailor K!" she demanded angrily.
a short girl in a yellow outfit with red ribbons and a mask. Like her fat friend, she had short hair, so her bun was more of a headband with a bow in the middle.
"Girls, this isn't the time to argue," the girl with the green ribbon tried to calm things down.
"But I'm Sailor K, it's the initial of my name," the yellow girl continued to complain.
"Just use the initial of your last name instead," the skinny purple girl suggested calmly.
"Why don't you use the initial of your last name then?"
"Obviously, I said I was Sailor K first," the skinny purple girl smiled triumphantly. "A shrimp that falls asleep is carried away by the current."
"YOU LOOK LIKE A CAMERON, YOU'RE SO FLAT! YOU DON'T HAVE BOOBS OR A BUT!" –
The thieves could only stare in bewilderment. Could these immature girls be Sailor V's comrades? Honestly, none of them seemed tough at best; they all looked ordinary, even in their outfits, which, upon closer inspection, looked more like cheap cosplay. But if they were what they said they were, they might have superpowers, and they'd be finished.
"Enough with the antics, Black Spider Web." A thick black web shot out of the palms of his hand, trapping the self-proclaimed warriors, leaving everyone silent. How had he pulled that web out of nowhere? Did he have superpowers, or was he a monster?
What the hell had they all gotten themselves into? They might be thieves, but they weren't going to betray their race to be collaborators in the plans for the worldwide denomination of creatures from hell.
"What are you looking at?" "Eliminate those brats." The woman threateningly brandished her sword at Sailor V's comrades.
This wasn't looking good. How many years in prison do you get for being an accomplice to monsters from another dimension? Surely they wouldn't even get a life sentence for betraying humanity; capital punishment would be their fate. Even if they completed their work, those girls would be witnesses, but if they eliminated them, their list of crimes would grow, and the rope would no longer be a possibility. But if they betrayed the monster, the punishment they would suffer at the hands of their human peers might be the least of their worries. Fear left them motionless, stunned, praying for a miracle. If there was a superheroine with magical powers, this was a good time to appear and save them.
-Rabbit Frisbee Action-
A pink Frisbee with a Sailor V cover shot out, slamming into the creature's sword-wielding hand, landing with a thud.
"I am the beautiful masked guardian, guided by friendship! Protector of the jewels! I am Sailor Rabbit, and I will punish you in the name of the bunnies!" From the shadows emerged what could only be described as the worst imitation of Sailor V. A little girl in a pink glitter outfit with bunny heads decorating the red bow on her chest and the other two on the waves of her pigtails. She had even put a bunny-shaped sticker on her forehead. The least ridiculous thing about her costume was her red mask.
- Black spider web-
Again, the black web shot out of the creature's palm, but Sailor Rabbit counterattacked with the store's fire extinguisher. She'd forgotten to bring her pepper spray, so she'd grabbed it as a replacement. What a great idea! The white foam managed to block the strange web.
"You see how futile your efforts are. Leave this store right now, or else the noose of justice will fall upon you."
"Isn't it the hammer of justice?" Sailor Y whispered.
"Way to go, Usagi-chan. Show them who's boss!" Sailor M supported her friend.
"Shhh... You don't want to reveal Sailor Rabbit's secret identity, do you?" Sailor K in yellow tried to move her hand to make a silence gesture, but she couldn't; the noose was too strong. Her purple counterpart was trying to do the same, not to reprimand her companion, but to reach her phone and call the police. The situation had clearly gotten out of hand; the thieves had someone with powers and had caught them in less than five minutes. The strange woman lunged at Usagi, who tried to hit her with her own version of Sailor V's kick, but without success. She wanted to go home. This was a mistake. They weren't scary enough to scare some guys who've committed who knows how many horrific crimes they've committed to be afraid of schoolgirls.
Sailor Rabbit barely dodged the strange woman's punches, holding the fire extinguisher as a shield. With effort, she delivered a few blows with the extinguisher to her enemy, infuriating her even more, her eyes almost popping out of their sockets. She wasn't going to be defeated by that insignificant brat. She threw her net at her a second time, but Sailor Rabbit ducked, or rather tripped, sending the black net flying into the wall.
Naru couldn't tear her gaze away from her best friend in danger. This shouldn't have happened. Usagi was cute and defenseless; that thing must have been a monster. Her friend now climbed onto a shelf, fleeing from her attacker. They should have killed her.
They ran away after hiding the jewels in the safe, instead of playing Sailor V. Yumiko, Kuri, and Momoko cheered Usagi on as if she were a racehorse in the middle of a competition instead of a deadly battle with everything against Usagi. Only Kaname understood the danger, trying to free himself from the black net. Naru began to do the same. If he got Usagi into this, it was his duty to help her out of it. He felt a cold mental thing on his head.
"Where are the jewels, you little shit?" The leader of the thieves was tired of watching the fight. Or rather, he was tired of following orders from prissy guys who later turned out to be monsters. He would complete this job and cut all ties with those monsters. To achieve that, he wouldn't shy away from dealing with those fools.
"Wait, I'll tell you where the jewels are hidden only if you free my teammates." Usagi wanted to cry. Not only did that strange woman keep trying to hurt her, but that evil man was also threatening Naru with a gun. If only she had Sailor V's powers, she would save them all.
"Please don't." Although she was very afraid, Momoko preferred to stay trapped in that sinister net all night, hoping all her efforts would be in vain.
"Shut up! They'll kill us if we don't do what they say." Kuri didn't want to be the coward of the team; they already had Kaname for that. But with a gun to Naru's head, it wasn't wise to risk herself any more for a few shiny stones. Surely Naru's mother had insurance; if they obeyed, nothing would be more than a simple scare, right?
"Show me where they hide my master's jewels!" "The creature roared. It retained its human appearance, but its gestures were increasingly bestial. Its canine teeth protruded grotesquely, the veins on its head seemed about to burst, and its gaze reflected madness. If she weren't afraid for her life, Usagi would have found its expression so similar to a rabid dog's funny. Its words also angered her; the jewels belonged to the mother, not to the generic demonic dark lord served by that strange woman. She was going to teach it a lesson, but right now the priority was to save all her friends.
"The jewels belong to the owner of the place, but they're in that safe." Sailor Rabbit, who crawled onto an even higher shelf, pointed at a locked box located behind the cash register. "Keep your gun away from my friend, or you'll have to say goodbye to the only key that opens that safe." She reached into her cleavage, pulling out a silver key that hung from a pink rabbit-print necklace.
"Don't listen to her, she's lying," Naru shouted, earning him a blow with the gun.
"TOUCH HER AGAIN AND I'LL EAT THE KEY!" He threateningly brought it closer to her comically open mouth.
"Shit," the leader muttered. "Okay, bunny girl, no more guns." He put his pistol back in its sheath. He just wanted to get this over with quickly to say, "Goodbye, Monster!" Maybe he could take all the loot. He deserved it after being tricked by that abomination to risk perishing at the hands of Sailor V. He knew where to sell the jewels at a very good price without being asked any awkward questions. With the money, he would go to Okinawa, to a nice hotel in Miyako where celebrities like Mina-Love and that new actor Jade Blue vacation.
"DON'T KILL THEM ALL, and TAKE THE KEY FROM HIM!"
"How am I going to get that key if you block the way with your mass?" – It was really difficult for her to snatch the key from the bunny girl because of the height of the shelf.
– WORM, YOU'LL BE SORRY! BLACK SPIDER WEB! – A black web flew at the head of the leader of the thieves, causing him to fall to the ground like a sack of potatoes.
– Boss! – The thieves came to their leader's aid, some trying to free him from the web, while others began shooting at the strange woman. Most of the bullets hit their target, but without causing any significant damage. It seemed more like the strange woman had been bitten by mosquitoes rather than being shot.
The loud noises and the scent of smoke terrified Usagi. She wanted to hide in her makeshift tower, waiting for anyone willing to save her, but the screams of her friends forced her to move. She had to take advantage of the criminals' distraction to rescue her companions. With great effort, she managed to lower the shelves that protected her from that strange woman. She still held the fire extinguisher as a shield and weapon.
"Don't let the bunny escape!"
"IT'S SAILOR RABBIT!" Furious, she almost threw the fire extinguisher at him, but thought better of it; it could kill him, so she threw an empty box that surely once contained very beautiful jewelry.
The sound of the crash alerted everyone who was undoubtedly going to hurt her to get the jewelry. She didn't even take two steps when the strange woman and some thugs began trying to catch her. Only by invoking years of running like Sonic to avoid being late to school did she manage to outrun them and arrive cheering for herself
The jewelry store's small warehouse.
"Damn, she got away from us."
"She couldn't have gotten far. Watch that little group while I hunt down that bunny."
The vigilant thief stared at the captives. Those short skirts stirred certain things in him. Every time he went to the supermarket, he couldn't help but look under the skirts of the pretty girls with long legs, butts, and generous breasts. These brats really weren't worth it; they were flat with ordinary faces, except for the redhead. She looked like a doll with her blue-green eyes, and her figure wasn't too bad. Why not have some fun while the others hunted down that bunny?
"Miss, would you like to get out of here with your friends?" He approached Naru creepily.
"Stop right there, thug!" Moonlight bathed a figure dressed in a blue sailor suit with a red bow in the middle, golden shoulder pads that resembled armor, white gloves with orange elbow pads, and blue high-heeled shoes tied with a bow at the ankles. Her long, platinum-blonde hair waved heroically.
"SAILOR V!" everyone shouted in surprise.
Sailor V held a firearm pointed at the criminal. "Electric stun shot." In an instant, a kind of red tampon shot out at the robber's head, delivering a powerful electric shock that left him on the ground as hard as a rock.
"Thanks for saving us, Sailor V!" In tears, the girls couldn't believe their luck; their heroine had come to the rescue.
"You're welcome, girls." As they approached, they noticed Sailor V's red mask taped to a pair of thick glasses.
"Umino?" –
“I'm not that handsome and intelligent boy,” Umino replied in the most overacted feminine voice. “I'm Sailor U, Sailor V's comrade.” He imitated the heroine's famous pose.
“Where have you been, Umino?” “Finding out that her savior was Umino frustrated Naru. Now how would you help Usagi?”
“I thought you got scared and went back home,” Yumiko sighed.
“Well, between putting on a blindfold and adjusting my taser, it took me longer than expected.” Umino let out his classic annoyed chuckle. “By the way, did you also bring self-defense weapons?”
A somber silence was all the answer Umino needed. Neither of them thought carefully about what to do if things got dangerous and they had to defend themselves. They really thought putting on a Sailor V outfit would scare the bad guys.
“Umino, thank you so much for saving us from that pervert,” Momoko continued to cry.
"Get us out of this stinking net!" Kuri demanded.
Umino tried to break the net with the knife her dad gave her for her birthday. The strands must have been made of something harder than steel, as she broke the blade without even managing to sever a single thread. Hell, she didn't have any other sharp object with her, and even if she did, it wouldn't be as successful as her knife. She looked around for something useful, her glasses flashing when she spotted a seemingly European sword lying on the ground. It took both of her arms to barely hold onto the sword, and with effort, she managed to break the threads that held her friends prisoner.
"Okay, team, let's rescue Sailor Rabbit!" Naru, determined, would lead them to victory.
"Wait, Naru. Shouldn't you have planned things better?" I mean, none of them seemed to have put up much of a fight before being captured. Usagi at least managed to distract those guys.
"You were hiding, watching Usagi in danger without doing anything!"
"Naru, calm down. I couldn't just defeat criminals with a rousing speech. It was best to wait for the right moment to rescue them."
"You meant the moment to show off," Naru exploded. If Umino weren't so arrogant, Usagi wouldn't have lied about having the key to the safe where they hid the jewels. In reality, they hid them in another safe located in her mother's office, and that safe was opened by entering a code, the date of her birthday. No key was necessary; Usagi tricked them by using her house key.
"Can you both be quiet? I'm trying to call the police." Kaname loudly dialed the emergency number on her cell phone. "Hello, good evening. I'm calling to report a robbery at the Osa-p jewelry store."
"Kami-San, please help me in this time of need." "Is that the prayer your Grandpa taught you? Damn, you should have paid more attention to his teachings."
"I saw it over here!"
"Kami-San, I know I'm not the best believer. I could never learn to pray the Lord's Prayer , I don't even know how to communicate properly with you. Honestly, learning things isn't my thing; I'm lazy, greedy, clumsy, and stupid. The very opposite of someone deserving of your help, but my friends need you. Unlike me, they are good, intelligent, very brave, and worthy." Please save them-
-Check in that corner, the one near the mirrors-
-But in your infinite kindness, protect me. I'm too beautiful to die-
My mom always said that all living beings, natural forces, and even objects have a ramat, the extension of a greater Kami, so the mirror in front of her was, in theory, a Kami. "I implore your help, Lord Kamuy of the mirror, give me the strength to protect my friends."
She would never know if it was her imagination, if the mirror was magical, or if a Kamuy intervened. It just shone like crystal, and a voice emerged.
"How willing are you to save your little friends?"
Usagi almost fainted from fright, but her desire to save them all kept her lucid and steadfast.
"I'm willing to sacrifice my life for my loved ones." Her hands were shaking, her vision blurry, but she could see in the mirror. It reflected only the pale figure of a beautiful woman with a crescent moon symbol, just like Sailor V.
"Little girl, there are already many lambs eager to have their necks raised to the butcher."
"Please, it's my greatest wish to become someone capable of helping others."
"Your greatest wish? That sounds interesting."
"If I want to be strong, I want to kick the asses of those thieves and that strange woman." She stood up and acted with her right leg as if crushing a criminal's head.
"How violent you are, I love it." The beautiful lady smiled. "I'll grant your wish, but that won't be enough; you'll have to fight to make it come true."
"Of course, Mrs. Kami." Mirror. She bowed respectfully. "I'll do my best."
"I'm a young lady, and my mouth stays right there." Damn it. Who did she think she was, calling her an old lady? – This is going to hurt a little-
– Wait, is it going to hurt? – She barely reacted to the lady's words when she felt a sharp pain inside her, as if something very secret and intimate had been revealed. A kind of reflective disc emerged from it. It was beautiful, its shape reminding her of a star or a small sun, the colors of the rainbow shining.
– We'll need a small piece –
Only a small fragment was what remained of that beautiful multicolored sun. In that fragment, she saw reflected her desire to be like Sailor V, a brave heroine who defended the innocent and the weak. A symbol of justice that not only offered protection, but also hope. How many times she daydreamed about it in class, drawing herself as Sailor V's companion in her textbooks. That fragment was covered in a golden substance, forming a brooch. It gently fell into her hands.
Her eyes beheld a masterpiece worthy of a princess. The brooch was a round gold brooch decorated with a crescent moon and a pink diamond in the middle with four smaller circles, one in each quarter. A ruby in the south direction, a sapphire in the north direction, an emerald in the east direction, and a topaz in the west direction.
"But how is this going to save my friends?"
"Don't be impatient. Put it on and shout True Moon Power, Make Up!"
"True Moon Power, Make Up!" Ribbons of embracing power covered her body, changing, strengthening, and improving it in ways she would never understand. She observed the result in the mirror: the crescent moon lady had vanished; the image that replaced her was of a young woman in her twenties, blonde, with blue eyes, taller, and an hourglass figure. She wore a sailor outfit similar to Sailor V's, consisting of a white shirt with three shoulder pads that exposed her stomach, with an indigo line at the bottom. Her indigo collar has three stripes, white gloves with three dark pink arm accessories that reach just below her elbows, and a pleated indigo skirt with a white belt with a crescent-shaped pendant on top, lace petticoats underneath, and shorts of the same indigo color, along with chest armor that has a pink bow on top and another pink bow on the back of her belt. She also wore a pair of dark pink knee-high boots with a white triangular border on the top that points upward with crescent moons, dangling pearl earrings with a crescent moon underneath, and a dark pink choker with a golden crescent moon. Her hair grew to almost touch the floor, but was still styled in its classic style, with two pink jewels decorating her ears and two white clips made of feathers and pearls in her hair. A golden tiara with a dark pink oval gem in its center sits on her forehead. Its brooch is worn in the middle of her chest bow. A white mask covered her face.
"It's amazing! I'm Sailor V!" Usagi jumped for joy.
"You're not Sailor V, silly." The same voice from the mirror now sounded inside the brooch, whose appearance had changed. Instead of the gem and the crescent moon, the fragment of the rainbow sun was now visible. "Listen carefully. Right now, although you have received the best physiques of anyone who accesses the power of a Sailor Senshi, in practice you possess no powers of your own. Therefore, you are barely able to
It's better than an ordinary civilian, so I'll give you a hand—
—What's a Sailor Senshi?—
—Warriors protected by their guardian planet and sometimes also by a deity, whose duty is to defend the universe from the forces of darkness and chaos... blah blah blah. But that doesn't concern us yet; the priority is to get out of this mess and become a Sailor Senshi in the future.—
—That's impossible. You said I don't have powers—
—However, you have the highest magical potential I've ever known in my long life. With proper training, I promise you that you will become the most powerful Sailor Senshi in the universe—
—Really?—
—Of course, I know attack spells that will help you, but I can't teach them to you now. You'd most certainly collapse before you even cast a spark—
—SO HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO FIGHT EVIL? Every word that came out of the mirror frustrated Usagi. The thieves would find her at any moment, but apparently she must be the weakest Sailor Senshi in the universe if she didn't have powers like Sailor V. Fate definitely hated her; she was always useless in whatever she was a part of. Surely if Naru-chan had been the one who managed to transform into Sailor V, she would immediately cast Crescent Beam.
"Don't raise your voice at me. Your body is too weak to perform magic. You need to build some muscle. Luckily, I have something that will help you."
The gem on her tiara shone, ejecting a golden circular object with a sharp outer edge. It was embedded with a gemstone similar to the one on the tiara.
"Great! I have a boomerang like Sailor V!"
"It's not a boomerang, boomerangs are open. This is a closed circle, a chakram." I triumphed in countless battles thanks to it, so I'm lending it to you so those thieves don't leave you in pieces.
"But I want a boomerang like Sailor V!" Usagi wept as she tried to lift the heavy weapon, but the thicker outer edge cut her palm. Only the sound of enemy footsteps managed to make her hold back a cry of pain.
"LISTEN, UNGRATEFUL BRAT! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DIE, THROW MY CHAKRAM AT THE HEAD OF THE NEXT CRIMINAL YOU SEE! Understand?"
Usagi nodded with more enthusiasm than she actually had. She barely managed to lift the boomerang by its thin edge; it was too heavy for her to use effectively. Every second she dreaded dropping it on the ground, causing another cut, but on her feet.
"Do you think you're capable of using it?" The mirror lady's voice laced with concern.
"I don't think so. It's too heavy. Frisbees are lightweight for better aerodynamics."
"Frisbees? Do you know how to use them?"
"Of course, I've been the undefeated champion of the regional Frisbees throwing championship for four years."
"I have an idea." The boomerang flashed again, taking on a flatter, completely closed shape. "We'll start from the lowest level. This "frisbee" isn't as powerful as the chakram, but for you, for now, it's perfect. I don't want you to end up with an amputated limb."
Usagi easily took the Frisbees. Now they looked like a flatter version of her transformation brooch.
"Go hunt down those criminals, and when you want to eliminate them, shout 'Moon Frisbee Action. Don't embarrass me, bye." The brooch returned to its original form, with the crescent moon and pink diamond.
"Wait, what do I do?"
"I FOUND IT!" –
A man in black approached menacingly, Usagi quickly reacted – Moon Frisbee Action – The Frisbee glowed brightly, flying directly at the thief's head, knocking him unconscious, and returning to Usagi's hands.
- THERE IT IS – The other thieves tried to approach her, only to be knocked down like bowling pins by that strange woman on all fours, herding like a dog, which made Usagi more disgusted than scared.
- Moon Frisbee Action –
The Frisbee knocked down the strange woman. As the monster fell, the thieves stared in awe and fear at the new heroine.
- Don't tell me... ANOTHER BRAT WITH A COSPLAY! –
- Hey, did you see the bunny? –
- Can I have your number? You're hot-
A vein popped out in his head. – I'm a Sailor Senshi who fights for love and justice. I am... I am...
"Well, another cheap imitation of Sailor V."
The moonlight entered through the skylight, comforting and guiding her. "I am Sailor Moon, and I will punish you in the name of the Moon." She struck her best dramatic pose, which she practiced while looking at herself in the mirror, in preparation for a cosplay contest.
"Punish us?" They laughed.
"Of course. Don't you see how that dog woman left us? Dare to steal a single needle from this jewelry store, and I will throw this ancient deadly weapon at you!" She threateningly raised her Frisbee as if it were a knife.
That gesture made them process the previous scene. The creature that resisted their bullets was defeated by that Sailor Moon.
"That. It's...true...I saw it...you took her down."
"SHIT HAS POWERS!"
"LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!"
The thieves immediately left.
Leaving only a trail of dust in her wake, Usagi jumped for joy. She had protected Osa-p and saved her friends. She just had to find them. Suddenly, she felt dizzy; first, she had to sit down. She found a box to serve as a seat; her eyelids were getting heavier and heavier. She would only rest her eyes, for a second. Her transformation faded in ribbons, returning to her original form.
"Usagi, where are you?" Naru could barely see in the darkness. Those men fled desperately, babbling about a new Sailor V who had killed the monster. She didn't care about meeting a new superhero; she just wanted to find her dearest friend.
"Look, here's Usagi." Kuri found Usagi asleep on the boxes.
"Naru, does your mom have ropes?" Umino saw the woman on the floor, who was surely a monster. After making sure Usagi was in good health, Naru went in search of duct tape; it was the closest thing to rope they had at the jewelry store. Together, they tied and gagged the creature.
Meanwhile, the thieves ran toward the mall's exit. They hadn't even taken two steps when the headlights of the Tokyo police cars illuminated them.
"Tokyo Police! You are under arrest on suspicion of theft!" the officer said loudly.
In a nearby temple room, a beautiful young woman meditating in front of the flame opened her eyes, sensing a strange disturbance. What was its meaning? Was it the enemy? Or another disturbance in her mission?
In another city, a very beautiful, strong, and gentle girl was finishing packing her few belongings from her uncle's small apartment. If all went well, she would never return. Strangely, she felt in her chest that something very important had happened, and that she should have prevented it. A feeling of guilt, to which she was accustomed.
On her balcony, gazing at the moon, Ami experienced a strange happiness. As if deep in her heart, she knew that a beloved friend had finally been able to fulfill her greatest wish.
High on the roof of a skyscraper, about to defeat a youma mantis, Sailor V had a strange feeling: things were going to change. But that wasn't important; this time, she wouldn't fail; she would do her duty.
In a dark room, with only the moonlight illuminating it, a man held a ring with a huge diamond in his bare hands. No matter how hard he concentrated on searching for a special energy in the gem, he couldn't find it. He looked at the jewels scattered around him; they were all ordinary. He had worked so hard to borrow them, and he still had to return them. Surely next time, he would use his power better before bringing them with him. A sharp headache knocked him to the ground. It couldn't happen again, not now, so far away yet close to his goal. She dragged her body to the bathroom. If she took an aspirin, the pain would go away. It had to be this way; she wasn't going to depend on anyone else. Before reaching her destination, the image of a princess invaded all her senses, bringing the relief she so desperately needed.
Luna the cat gazed longingly at the moon. She would soon find the Sailor Senshi and their princess.
What neither of them knew was that there was already a new Sailor Senshi in the city, Sailor Moon, and she would punish the villains in the name of the moon.

Important Notes: (Translated)
Okay, if you noticed that Usagi's awakening completely changed, why did I break with decades of tradition? Simple, no matter how much I thought about it, I couldn't make sense of Luna giving her the ability to be Sailor Moon or even seeking her out to be a Sailor Senshi. Usagi wasn't a Sailor Senshi in her past life; Sailor Moon didn't exist in the Silver Millennium; it makes no sense for Luna to recruit her. She's searching for the princess's guardians; she shouldn't be interested in a complete stranger.
This also explains why Usagi always has a different magical transformation item than her companions; she got her powers from another source.
Momoko and Kaname are the names of the live-action equivalent of Kuri and Yumiko. I gave them to Usagi's fat friend and thin friend, who appeared in a single episode, "Learn to Be Thin with Usagi." For obvious reasons, I wanted to give them a name and a more important role in the plot. I liked their designs for breaking the mold and standing out from other characters.
Huci is a grandmother in Ainu.
Kami is a divine or spiritual being in Ainu mythology, a term denoting a supernatural entity composed of or possessing spiritual energy.
The Ainu are an indigenous ethnic group of Hokkaidō and northern Honshu, in northern Japan, as well as the Kuril Islands and the southern half of Sakhalin Island, Russia. If you've seen the Golden Kamuy series, you should have some knowledge of this people. If not, watch it and research the Ainu. I gave Usagi a connection to this people in response to numerous Tumblr posts that changed the race of one of the Sailor Senshi (usually Minako) to African American. Knowing this indigenous group from their own country, I wonder if it might be interesting to make this race change to raise awareness of multiculturalism in a country that denies it as much as Japan. In Japanese media, it's easier to find a person of African descent than an indigenous person.
If you've seen the live-action Sailor Moon series, released in 2003, specifically the special: Act 0 - The Birth of Sailor V! This chapter is based on that special.
I don't have any beta readers; if anyone is interested, I'd be very grateful.
Minor notes: It was tedious to describe all of Sailor V's costumes, except for Usagi. I like the Sailor Rabbit design, so I kept it. But the rest didn't convince me. I changed the colors to the clothes they wear as civilians. Naru, in that sense, was the easiest; she was an important supporting character, after all. But the rest only made sporadic appearances, usually wearing their school uniforms. As for Sailor Moon's costume, I decided to redesign it, but focusing on Usagi's desire to be a hero like Sailor V. Many choose to focus on the character's cute aspects when redesigning her, but I want a more badass Usagi.
Edit: I modified the costume for the second time, inspired by Cure Black's design from the first season and this image https://www.designideas.pics/sailor-moon-usagi-tsukino-character-redesign/#google_vignette.Third Note: I made changes again, now Tuxedo Mask is Sailor Earth, I made him a woman, no. One day I simply told myself, screw canon, that's why I'm making a rewrite fanfic. In my work, Tuxedo Mask is the first cisgender man to become a Sailor Senshi in the entire universe. I based her costume on this work https://cl.pinterest.com/pin/135671007502597403/
My Notes:
I changed Zoisites name to Björn as a reference to the Swedish actor Björn Andrésen and changed Mina's description a bit to make her afro puffs braids
