Chapter Text

It was meant to be a normal year, then the incident happened and we needed a fresh start. So here we are, in Seoul. It’s different then the western place we came from but honestly, we love it already.

“Hey, Eve you in there?” Ben waved his tan hand in front of my face, I shook my head and looked at my best friend. Ben Draper, dirty blonde hair, tan skin, the early signs of a moustache and goatee and black rimmed glasses. He was the epitome of perfect to some, the ideal catch. People ask me all the time why we aren’t together, the answers simple. I don’t like dudes, he does.

“Yep, what’s up?” I sigh and keep walking by his side, running a hand through my Auburn hair, before we left I cut it so now it only reaches my shoulders.

“We gotta get jobs soon. Our savings will only last so long.” Ben groaned, raising his head to the sky.

“I know, I’m working on it, so are you but jobs aren’t just gonna fall into our laps.” I rolled my green eyes, picking at my freckle covered skin. I stuck out like a sore thumb here, on the chubby side, unusual hair colour for this region and a more masculine style. People weren’t exactly lining up to hire me.

“We gotta try harde-” Ben was abruptly cut off by a flyer hitting his face. I couldn’t help chuckling.

“Careful there Benny, you’ll ruin that pretty face of yours.” I crossed my arms, a smirk on my face. Ben reached up and pulled the flyer away from his face, staring down at it.

“Seems like our prayers have been answered.” Ben shoved it towards me and fixed his glasses. The flyer said,

MANAGER NEEDED FOR UPCOMING BOY GROUP
SAJA BOYS!

PAY IS GOOD, WE’LL FEED YOU!

OTHER POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE SUCH AS CHOREOGRAPHER, ASSISTANT, STYLIST, ETC. PLEASE INQUIRE AT INTERVIEW!

Followed by an address for the place. I raised a brow at Ben, passing the flyer back to him.

“How exactly does this answer our prayers?”

“C’mon, you could totally be a manager, you’re super bossy-”

“Rude.”

“And I could be their choreographer!” Ben started to bounce on his feet just talking about the idea.

“How do we know they’ll even be successful? I haven’t heard of them before.” I scoffed, starting to walk away.

“Have a little faith. They said they’d feed us, that’s good enough for me!” Ben jogged to catch up to me, waving the flyer around.

“I don’t know.”

“C’mon, let’s just go! If we aren’t qualified then whatever, we’ll find different jobs. There’s no harm in trying.” Ben nudged me slightly, still looking down at the flyer. He’s not being this pushy just cause it’s a job, it’s his dream job. He’s always wanted to be a famous choreographer, and he’s trying to be nice by getting me to apply at the same place. I swear this man will be the death of me.

“Fine. Only doing this for you though.” I mumbled, shoving my hands in my pockets.

“Yes! Let’s go! Interviews are today!”

“Wait, wha-” Ben snatched my hand in his and bolted off. We did have resumes on us, so we’re not totally unprepared. Fuck it, let’s go.

We stood in front of what appeared to be an abandoned building. It was old and degrading around us, spiders and god knows what other bugs were crawling around everywhere. A thin layer of dust covered everything.

“If I die I will be coming back just to haunt you.”

“Okay, it doesn’t look… great.”
“Safe.”

We spoke at the same time, me rolling my eyes once again.

“Let’s go in, if it’s creepy we leave!” Ben tried to look on the bright side and be positive but his mask was cracking, he was worried just like me.

“Okay, just be careful.” I sighed, walking to the door and slowly pulling it to the side, the wheels on the roller made an irritating grating sound, making me cringe. A foul smell came from within, the smell of death, decay and dust. “Nope.”

“Wait! C’mon, let’s go.”

“Dude we will die going in there.” I looked at Ben like he was insane, cause he was.

“Just, follow me.” Ben started walking in, leaving me behind. I looked to the sky, silently praying to whatever god there is to not let us die here. I quietly followed behind him, not making a sound. As we walked through the building we tripped several times over old things left here to rot, rats scaring us as they scurry past and a bad case of sneezing from the dust. Finally we saw a light, was it this supposed group or was it death himself welcoming us into hell? At this point I had no clue.

The floor boards creaked as we walked into the room, it was bright, too bright. I had to squint to let my eyes readjust, when they finally did the contrast of this room and the rest was so obvious. It was clean, brightly coloured, even smelt better, like flowers. Sitting at a desk were five boys, two pink haired ones, however one had long hair and the other short. A blue haired boy, and I think a purple toned hair, it was hard to tell. Right in the middle though was a black haired boy, he had an aura of authority, this would mostly likely be the leader of the group.

“Woah…” Ben mumbled, a small blush appearing on his face. They weren’t ugly by any means, the exact opposite really, I could understand and appreciate their good looks but they weren’t my type. However, with a group with this many good looking guys, yeah they were going to be popular in no time.

“Welcome, come to apply for a position?” The leader stood and looked at us both.

“Y-yes....” Ben’s words failed him so I sighed and mustered up the courage to speak,
“Yes, I’m Evelyn but please call me Eve. This is Ben, he’ll be applying to be a choreographer.”

“And you? What job are you looking for?” The leader raised a brow at me, smiling softly.

“Manager.” I stared him down, I barely wanted to be here, if I was going to apply it’d be for the best position or nothing. Not that I actually plan on trying, if by some miracle I get in it'll be nice to have a good spot.

“Confident. Good.” He smiled and sat back down. “I’m Jinu, this is Abby, Romance, Baby and Mystery.” Jinu pointed at them all one by one. “Who’s first?” Jinu looked between us. I slowly nudged Ben forward, he seemed to finally snap out of it and walked to the table. He placed a copy of his resume in front of each boy before taking a step back.

“Hi, I’m Ben. As you’ll see on my resume I went to school for ballet, however I know a variety of dance styles. I won a competition for best hip hop freestyle dance. I’m confident I could give you boys a dance that’ll make the ladies swoon. It’s not all about good looks and good voices, when people see boys that can dance they’re impressed.” Ben smiled at them all, crossing his arms. It was quiet for a moment as Jinu read over the resume carefully, the other boys seemed less interested in the paper, more bored.

“Show us something.” Abby called out, breaking the silence. “A dance to make the girls swoon.” Abby smirked, leaning back in his chair.

“Uh, right now?” Ben nervously looked at the boy group.

“Yes, please.” Jinu spoke up, placing the paper down. “Let’s see if it’s as good as it looks on paper.” Ben nodded after that and walked back to me, handing me his glasses and pulling out his phone. Walking back to the desk he placed his phone down, song selected before walking to the middle of the room.

“I’m ready when you are.” Ben smirked, waiting for the music to start. Baby moved forward and pressed play, music filled the room, a more upbeat song. Almost immediately Ben started to move his body, slow at first, warming up, before springing to life when the beat dropped. The way Ben’s body moved, it was like he was one with the music. You couldn’t tell where Ben started and where the music ended. They were one in the same. Ben moved his body like he was made for this, in a way he was. He’s been dancing since he could walk. When he first asked his parents if he could take ballet classes they yelled at him, telling him to do a real sport, however when Ben started high school and his asking became more frequent and insistent they finally caved. Since his first lesson to his very last he’s been the best one on the stage. He moved so naturally and in tune.

Before I knew it the song finished, Baby leaning forward again to pause before the next song started. Ben was out of breath, chest heaving as he stared at the group. Silence filled the room, you could almost hear the sweat dripping off Ben’s body.

“You’re hired.” Jinu smiled wide, standing up and politely clapping. Ben stared wide eyed at him, my smile couldn’t be hidden, proud of him.

“Really?” Ben was shocked, surely there were other applicants they had to consider.

“Really.” Jinu sat, looking towards me. “You ready Eve?”

“Let’s get this over with.” I sighed and walked forward, handing Ben his glasses as he walked to the desk to grab his phone. As his hand reached out to grab it Baby grabbed his hand and whispered something. I couldn’t tell what it was but it made Ben’s face redder than a tomato. I throw my resume towards the group, sighing.

“As you’ll see I am super excited and cheery! I would love to be your manager.” I say through gritted teeth. Jinu raises a brow at me, skimming my resume. I don’t say anything else, waiting for the rejection. Ben looks at me like a wounded puppy but I just don’t care to work for a few arrogant boys.

“You’re not qualified-”

“Oh darn, I’ll be going, good meeting-”

“I wasn’t done.” Jinu stared at me, I shut up and crossed my arms. “You’re not qualified, you’re aggressive, you’re bored, yet you’re here. Why?” Jinu placed my resume in front of him.

“Honestly? To support Ben.” My gaze flickers over to him. “I’m not qualified, I wouldn’t put up with your shit, I would probably be strict and mean, and I don’t like how you look. Like you know something I don’t, that stupid smirk on your face is annoying. This place? Don’t even get me started. It’s a mess! I’m sure you scared most the applicant away before they could even find you! Seriously, what were you thinking when choosing this place?” I huff after finishing my tangent. If I somehow had a chance I certainly don’t now.

“You’re hired.” My eyes go wide, as well as the rest of the boys.

“What?” I chuckle a bit, not believing this.

“Yeah, seriously, what?” Romance stared at Jinu like he had two heads.

“We need someone that will kick our butts if we mess up. Someone to keep us focused and on track. Most people, what’d you say Ben? Swoon, at the sight of us. You won’t be using us for your own personal gain, cause you aren’t swooning. You’ll start Monday, you too.” He looked at Ben as he stood.

“We’re not meeting here are we?” I raise a brow at the boys.

“What’s wrong with it?” Abby mumbled.

“It’s creepy. If you’re going to be a boy group then you can’t be doing creepy things. If you really like the place then clean it up. Otherwise as your new manager,” A smile appeared on my face, “I’ll find us somewhere new. Got it?” The boys all stood,

“Yes, Ma’am.”

“We’ll have the place cleaned up by Monday, see you in the morning.” Jinu walked away, the others following suit. A moment passed, complete silence.

“What just happened?” Ben asked, walking up to me.

“I’m the new manager of the Saja Boys.”

Chapter Text

Stress. That’s all I feel 24/7. The Saja Boys were preparing to debut. Ben has been teaching them a dance he prepared after listening to their song “Soda Pop”. It’s catchy, annoyingly so. Which is perfect. The only thing not perfect was that venues didn’t want to take a chance on an unknown KPOP group. Can’t blame them really, I didn’t even wanna take a chance on them. Regardless, I need a venue, ASAP.

“Eve, relax. We’ll find a place.” Ben placed a coffee in front of me as I rubbed my eyes. They burn from staring at this stupid laptop all day.

“We? It’s my job. You don’t need to help Ben. You go make sure the boys are ready.” I mumble before chugging my coffee.

“I’m always here to help.” Ben reminded me before walking back to the boys. They were all taking breaks, some drinking water, others on their phones. I swear they were addicted to them, as if they’ve never seen a phone before. “Okay! From the top!” Ben clapped his hands and played the track. The boys moved in perfect sync as they danced, we hadn’t yet made them sing at the same time. We’re perfecting the dance first, so as of right now they’re just mouthing the words.

After another successful run through Abby spoke up, “C’mon, we’re ready! Let’s just go out there and do it!” Wait…

My eyes went wide as a smile crossed my face.

“Abby you’re a genius!” I quickly stood and pulled out my phone.

“Abby? A genius? Yeah right.” Baby mumbled under his breath, chuckling a bit.

“Hello? Yes, I’m wondering how much it’ll cost to print a few hundred flyers?” I turn my back and walk out of the studio. We were still in the building we meant the boys in. They like this place, thankfully they cleaned it up. It is not nearly as creepy. Some parts are still falling apart but when we start making money we’ll fix it up. “Okay, amazing! I’ll email you the flyer with the amount and when I come to pick them up I’ll pay with a credit card. Deposit? Of course, how much? I’ll stop by today! Alright, bye, thank you!” I hung up and jumped for joy. I rushed back into the studio and grabbed my laptop.

“So? Where are we preforming?” Romance asked, nosey as ever.

“The street.”

“What?” Romance cringed and looked visibly sick.

“Look, you’ve not got a single published song! No one wants to work with nobodies. So, we’re going to make you famous by getting fans first then record deals and all that other shit!” I smile widely and start to walk out again.

“Eve!” Jinu calls out to me, I turn my head to face him. “Thank you. We put our faith in you.” Jinu bowed, the other boys following suit not long after.

“No sweat. Ben, have them take the next step, I’ll be back by dinner.” I quickly walked away leaving Ben to keep the boys in check for now. I quickly typed an email to the shop and grabbed my keys.

As soon as my ass hits the seat I press send and turn the car on. It’s nothing fancy, just something I picked up after getting hired. Figured I’d need it if I was going to be a manager. I stepped on the petal and watched the building fade in the distance.

I walked the streets of Seoul. I know what to do, just where? What place gets a lot of foot traffic? As I’m making my way through the streets I spot an area with food carts and stalls. Maybe here? It’s a Wednesday yet it’s packed, I should check if it’s always like this. I walked up to the closest stall and smiled.

“Hi, I’m new to the area, is this place always filled with stalls?” I ask the older woman manning the shop. She turns and faces me, giving a soft smile.

“Oh, no dear. Only on Wednesdays and weekends.” She stuttered out before turning her attention to a customer. Okay, so we have at least two days to prepare. Sweet. I thank the lady and make my way back to the car, switching the radio on. I heard the new song “golden” by KPOP group, Huntrix. They were good, I wonder if the Saja Boys will ever reach their level? That’d be crazy! I’d be happy if they were half as popular as those girls. I couldn’t imagine being a manager to a group that famous, sounds even more stressful. The pay would be good though.

Saturday quickly approached as I discussed with the boys what to do. “So, Ben and I will throw the flyers around and you guys will perform Soda Pop near this building here.” I point at a map of the place that I drew, it was rough but it’ll work.

“Sounds good, manager.” Jinu smiled at me.

“What if there were fireworks!” Romance suggested, eyes twinkly.

“No.”

“Awww.”

“Smoke show?” Mystery asked, he doesn’t talk much but when he does it’s soothing.

“Uh, what do you mean?”

“As our entrance, so people don’t see us just walk up.” Mystery tilted his head in my direction, his hair making it hard to see what he was looking at in particular.

“I don’t know if we have the budget-”

“Don’t worry, manager! We’ll take care of it!” Abs exclaimed, flexing.

“Uh, sure then. It’s not the worst idea.” I mumbled, looking over the boys. “Look, people are going to love you guys! So, just go out there tomorrow and make me proud!”

“Us!” Ben exclaimed, pouting.

“Ha, yeah, us!” I giggled a little and looked at the boys again. “See you tomorrow.”

Ben and I drove back to our small apartment, a calm quiet filling the drive.

“You think they’ll be good?” Ben nervously asked, biting his nail.

“They’ll be great. Have faith.” I placed a hand on his shoulder and parked the car. We made the climb up to our floor, the elevator is still “broken”, I don't think it ever worked to begin with.

“Eve?”

“Hm?” I turn to look at Ben, pushing the door open.

“No matter how famous we get, I'll always be your best friend.” His voice shook, I nodded my head.

“Same.” There was an underlying promise in our words, neither of us brave enough to say it aloud. “Sleep well. Big day tomorrow.” I smiled at him and walked to my room. Tomorrow will make or break it. If we’ll still have jobs or not. If the Saja Boys suck then we’re out, they won’t have money to pay us. Ben will be stuck with some job he hates and, well I don’t know what I’ll do. Work until I die probably. Oh how cruel the world is. Let’s hope they don’t fuck up.

“Today’s the day! Let’s go, Eve!” Ben shouted from the door as I struggled to put my shoes on.

“I’m coming!” I call out, rushing to the door. I promptly fall on my face, untied shoes are the culprit. “Ow…” A heard a giggle above me and as I looked up, a hand stretched out for me.

“C’mon Eve, wouldn’t wanna ruin that pretty face of yours.” Ben snickered and dragged me up.

“Whatever.” I mumble and dust myself off before rushing down the stairs.

“Wait up!

“Catch up!”

The drive was quiet, Ben bouncing with excitement as we pulled up. I hand Ben half the stack of flyers and nod at him. We knew what to do. We went our separate ways, Ben literally throwing flyers everywhere, the wind carrying them. I made my way around passing them out, shoving them into the hands of people even if they didn’t want them.

Turning the corner I bump into someone, causing all the flyers to go everywhere and my ass on the ground.

“Ow.” I quickly glanced up to see three girls. They looked scared and were trying to hide their faces as quickly as possible. “Sorry?” I mumbled out, looking around at all my flyers. “Fuck.” I quickly move to my knees to start gathering them. If I don’t hand these out how will people know who’s performing? God dammit. A hand suddenly reached out in front of my face. Looking up I see the lady with long pink hair, and glasses wanting to help me up, then I notice the lady with black hair and a bucket hat picking my flyers up. Meanwhile the one that bumped into me just watched in shock, she had really familiar hair. Wait a minute. Is that a purple braid? No it can’t be them…

“You okay?” The deep voice of the pink haired woman cut through the air, snapping me out of it.

“Yeah…” I reach my hand out and grab hers. She pulls me up with no effort, we stand face to face, literally. I could practically feel her breath on me as we looked at each other. Her brown eyes captured my gaze, a heavy blush crossing my face. I noticed just the faintest of pink filling her checks. She was… so hot.

Mira stared down at the short girl, staring into her green eyes. There was a twinkle in them, determination? Maybe something else. Mira was great at reading people however at this moment it felt like she couldn’t even breathe right. Who is this girl?

“Here!” The black haired woman shoved the flyers into my hands and I quickly stepped away to grab them.

“Thank you!” I quickly stutter out, my nerves getting the best of me. “Um, nice meeting you. Huntrix, right? I won’t tell anyone, don’t worry.” I softly smiled at them all. I wouldn’t have even noticed if it wasn’t for Rumi’s signature braid and colour.

“Oh! Thanks.” Rumi barely managed to get out, looking around the area.

“Look, this might be a long shot but I manage a new boy group, would you like to come and watch? They’ll be performing in a few minutes in the courtyard. I totally understand if you say no, I’m sure idols like yourselves are super busy and-” I was cut off from my rambling by footsteps and laughter coming down the other alleyway.

“Fans! We can’t let them see us!” Zoey quickly exclaimed, hiding behind me, Mira following suit. Rumi had to be dragged behind me and her hoodie pulled tightly closed.

“Be cool. Look normal.” Mira said, as if that was the easiest thing in the world when you have three idols behind you.

“Please help, we owe you.” Rumi quickly muttered. Now that she’s behind me I realise she’s holding a box, I know because it’s digging into my back.

“Okay, yeah, totally.” I tried to play it cool and slowly walk forward. Coming around the corner is none other than the boys minus Jinu. The breath I was holding was released and I could feel myself relax just a bit. Mira and Zoey peaked their heads out from behind me, looking at them.

“Woooooaa.” Mira and Zoey say in sync. Right, of course they’re going to think the boys are attractive. They’re obviously straight. Rumi doesn’t join them and actually seems to be silently judging them. She’s probably concerned about their image since she’s the leader. Up ahead I could see Abby stretch and the buttons on his shirt threaten to give way. “So hot.” Mira and Zoey mumble.

“Ugh, you guys are so gross…” Rumi cuts herself off as Jinu comes out from behind them. There goes all my wishful thinking.

“Eve! Hey, bro.” Abs gives me a side hug and walks past.

“Wait, is that the shirt you’re wearing for the performance? It’s too tight! You might take someone’s eye out if the button pops!” I start to yell out after him but he’s ignoring me. I sigh and slump my shoulders. Next thing I know Rumi takes a fall due to Jinu bumping her, thankfully he’s going to help her up-

“Watch where you’re going.” Jinu brushes his shoulder and keeps walking.

“Jinu! I know you didn’t just say that!” I march up to him and grab his ear, dragging him back to Rumi.

“Ow!” He pulls away and rubs at his ear. “What the hell?”

“You bump into someone, you apologise you douchebag! You don’t want potential fans to think you’re an arrogant dickhead!” I scold him and cross my arms, waiting.

“I’m not a child-”

“Then don’t act like it.” I glare at him, he glares back and after a few seconds his shell breaks and he flinches.

“Sorry.”

“Like you mean it!”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t make me cancel the show!”

“I’m sorry for bumping into you, please forgive me!” Jinu bows low to the ground.

“Better, now c’mon. We need to work on your people skills if you’re gonna be an idol.” I drag him away, following the other boys, the whole time Jinu pouts. As we’re walking away I hear giggles and muttering from the girls behind me. Jinu ruined my chance to get an autograph! Ugh, imma beat him when we’re home.

Jinu quickly jogged away as the music started. Here we go, make it or break it. Pink smoke filled the courtyard, people started turning to look, confused, curious, wondering. Ben appeared by my side, us in the front of where they’d be. The smoke disappeared as the boys started their routine.

Don’t want you, need you
Yeah, I need you to fill me up!

Ben started humming along and doing very small movements of the dance he prepared. I heard a voice behind me go.

“It’s those stupid jerks again!” Turning around I see Huntrix watching. Great, they don’t like Saja Boys because Jinu was a jerk.

“What’s that cute fan doing with them? She mentioned a boy group right? This has to be it, ugh.” Zoey grumbled and crossed her arms. Cute… fan? An older lady rushes forward to try and grab Jinu however it’s like an invisible wall stopped her and she bounced back.

Looking like snacks!
Cause you got it like that!
Take a big bite, want another bite, yeah!

Jinu drank a juice pouch? Okay I guess he decided to use a prop instead of his fingers. That’s fine! It’s still going well.

“Did he? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6- That jerk stole one of my pouches!” I heard Rumi exclaim. What the fuck. Jinu! He’s definitely getting a beating.

Can’t let go, no, no, not tonight!

I should do damage control, especially if it’s Huntrix! I give Ben and the boys a thumbs up and slowly make my way further into the crowd towards them.

“Hey! I’m sorry! Let me buy you a new one. Jinu can get a little excited!” I rapidly approached the girls and tried to offer a solution, Zoey looked at me and her face turned red, oh no. She’s pissed!

Zoey nervously looked at the girl, the stranger was slightly taller than herself. Her freckles were so cute! Oh and she's offering to buy them a replacement? That's so sweet! They're rich and totally don't need it. But regardless Zoey found it adorable! Zoey totally needs to give her an autograph.

“It’s okay. Not your fault.” Rumi looked away.

“It is, I’m their manager. They’re just ugh, well, they’re boys! They suck sometimes. Lemme make it up to you?” I tried to convince the idols that the Saja Boys weren’t the worst things alive.

“Okay, sure. No need to buy another pouch though.” Mira stepped forward and grabbed a pen from her pocket. She quickly snatched my hand towards her and wrote something down. Is that… HER NUMBER? “Call me.” It wasn’t a question, more so a demand.

“Uh, yes.” I stuttered as I backed away and went back to my spot, next to Ben. My face felt hot, like it was on fire.

I’m empty you feed me
So refreshing!
My little soda pop!

My head turned back around to Huntrix, I noticed Zoey dancing. Yes! Okay, that’s good!

Cool me down, you’re so hot!
Pour me up, I won’t stop!

Suddenly Rumi started moving to the beat as well, I couldn’t help the smile that crossed my face. Mira didn’t dance, she was scowling however, that’s kind of her whole vibe so I’m not too shocked, especially after how the boys acted. Wait… She’s moving her shoulders! Yes! Good job boys! I’m so proud of them.

The boys stopped dancing and rushed past the audience. They went and helped a few people, singing the whole time. They even gave some presents to kids! Well, you can certainly buy love from fans. Smoke faded in again as the music rose, suddenly the boys were on top of a giant soda can! Where was this in the plan? Ugh, there goes what little budget we had!

You’re my soda pop!
Gotta drink every drop!

“That’s it for now! See you tonight on everyone’s favourite variety show.” The boys all pointed up at the screen behind them. Okay good promo, glad we could get the show to agree, only took us finally recording a video of the song and showing it to them but still! Okay, keep going Jinu! “Saja Boys love you!” The boys made hearts with their fingers then disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Finally I let my excitement show and I started punching the air.

“Yes! They did it! Ben, we’re going to be working for famous people!” I shout out as Ben turns to me, red faced.

“Eve! Where’d that soda can come from?”

“I don’t know! The boys must have blown the budget already.” I then get angry again thinking about how reckless they are. “Forget it! We gotta meet up with them!”

Huntrix watched as the cute fan and some other guy walked away. They overheard them say they work for them, that and the girl mentioned being their manager.

“She’s gotta be a demon too.” Mira growled, now embarrassed she gave the girl her number.

“Well if she rings you can be bait.” Rumi mumbles and walks away.

“I don’t know guys, she didn’t seem like a demon…” Zoey pouted, not wanting to accept the fact a cute fan was a demon.

“Zoey, there is a 99 percent chance that she is a demon.” Mira glared in the direction the girl left.

“Well maybe she’s not! Maybe the Saja Boys are using her.” Zoey raised her voice, pouting at her tall companion.

“Rumi, help me out here.” Mira glanced at their leader.

“What? Oh, um. I don’t know Mira.” Rumi sighed, this whole thing was confusing.

“You don’t know?” Mira looked at Rumi in shock.

“My gut says she’s a demon but-”

“But what? There’s no way demons would just bring on a human girl for no reason!” Mira exclaimed. How was Rumi to explain her heart was telling her otherwise. The way the girl had looked at her, the way she heard how upset Rumi was and offered to fix what those demons did wrong, the way her short auburn hair would flow in the wind… God it made her heart doubt.

“Rumi?” Zoey lightly touched Rumi’s arm.

“Sorry.” Rumi rapidly blinked, bringing herself back to the present. “Maybe the demons are using her to look more real and professional? I can’t see why else they'd would be working with a human.” Rumi tried to come up with some logical conclusion but the one that made the most sense was the girl being a demon.

“Yeah, right.” Mira rolled her eyes.

“Look I’m not saying we spare her, but let’s not kill her immediately! Let’s try and question her or something. We haven’t seen any patterns on her.” Rumi logically told the other girls.

“Okay, I guess we could.” Zoey pouted and shoved her hands in her pockets.

“I can live with that.” Mira sighed and kept her gaze locked ahead.

“Okay. Let’s get battle ready.”

Chapter Text

I let out a sigh as the boys continued with the games on the show. Watching from the sidelines Ben and I were ecstatic, not only were we now managing a famous group and we were doing it together. Ben’s socials blew up within the last hour due to the boys thanking him and announcing him as the choreographer. As for me the boys gave a brief thank you before moving on, my socials stayed relatively quiet, while managers are important I’m not as interesting as the rest. That’s okay, I know that what I do is important and that’s all I need.

“Welcome back to who can chug the most hot sauce?” One of the hosts points are the group. The boys were all in several stages of struggle except for Baby. One time I watched Baby eat a six pack of wings and he used an entire bottle of Da Bomb hot sauce. It was ridiculous. The crowd giggled and people cheered.

“That’s one flaming hot Jinu! Oh and that’s Abby down!” Jinu and Abby both slumped over in the high chairs the show provided and Jinu looked ready to puke. Abby on the other hand was fanning his mouth and drooling. “Mystery is History!” A single tear fell down his face. “Looks like Romance is out due to heartburn?” Romance held his chest and flopped over. I should check on him when this is over.

“It’s a dead heat between my handsome co-host and Baby Saja. Can our host catch up?” As soon as those words left his mouth the host spit the bottle out and started crying.

“So spicy! Spicy!” Despite having already won, Baby was still drinking the hot sauce casually.

“He can’t! Baby Saja is the winner!” The other boys stood behind Baby, proud of him.

“Goo goo ga ga.” Baby stared out into the crowd as he finished his hot sauce. The crowd exploded in cheers.

“It’s hard to say goodbye when you’re having this much fun!”

“Then why say goodbye,” Jinu snatched the mic from the host. What is he doing?! I swear these boys are making me age twice as fast. “When we have an extra special quest coming up.” Who is he talking about? “Please welcome, Huntrix!” Jinu gestures to the top of the stage and the spotlight moves to Huntrix. What are they doing here? Did Jinu somehow invite them? I doubt it. Why else would they be here then? Oh god I hope he didn’t promise to pay them, our budget may have increased now but we can NOT afford Huntrix!

“We just wanted to stop by and congratulate our hoobaes on their debut and-” Rumi waved at the crowd, was she nervous? What are they actually doing here, it feels like they’re hiding something.

“And of course, play games with us!” Jinu called out, waving his hand.

“Dude, good job getting Huntrix! Saja Boys will skyrocket even more after being seen with them.” Ben clapped his hand on my shoulder.

“Right, yeah, totally.” I mumble, furrowing my brows at the girls.

“Bring out the slides!” Jinu called out as the other boys ran off stage and past us to grab the slides. The girls looked even more nervous now, Mira was even frowning, which wasn’t super uncommon but I’ve never seen her do it at a press event.

“Oh no. We couldn’t possibly.” Rumi tried to decline and it’s around now that I finally noticed their outfits, are they going for a metal look now? Seriously this is not the Huntrix I’ve been a fan of.

“In the balls! In the balls!” The fans started cheering and waiting for the moment they’d join.

“Sure, for the fans!” Rumi nervously chuckled as all the girls climbed over the slides and got ready to go down. Is it bad if I say they look sexy right now? All that leather hugs them nicely-

As the girls started the slide they couldn’t go all the way down and a horrible screech echoed throughout the room. Damn leather. They slowly dragged themselves down until they landed in the balls. They all quickly got out and Rumi smiled.

“Well, this was fun.”

“It was truly an honour to share the stage with you.” Jinu placed a hand over his heart and smiled before all the boys bowed.

“Oh no, the honour is ours.” Rumi said back, the girls bowing lower.

“No ours.” The boys bowed even lower.

“Ours.” The girls lower once more. It went like that until I was cringing for their backs, so was Zoey who was certainly not used to going that low. As the lights dimmed and the curtain closed the girls looked up and scowled at the boys, however they were long gone, running away.

“What? Saja Boys get back here!” I yell out, realising they’ve just left us here when we were meant to do a debrief and go over our schedule for the next week. “Ugh! If I catch them I will kill them.” I mutter, slowly walking out with a stunned Ben. Huntrix ran past us, Zoey glancing back at us before they left the building.

“Dude, why was Huntix dressed like that?” Ben chuckled as he followed me, both of us slowly walking out the building.

“No clue, new style?” I shrug, scratching my neck.

“They looked good!” Ben smiled as he pushed the door open, I looked around, searching for anywhere the boys would be.

“What’s the bet they went into the bathhouse?” I sighed again and crossed my arms.

“Everyone needs to relax, even them and even you! Let’s go!” Ben started to drag me towards it but I stayed still.

“No thanks. I’ll be all by myself in there and I’d rather wait out here and get some work done. The press run isn’t gonna do itself.” I pulled out my phone and went through my emails. That was part of the reason but honestly? I am chubby, I know that! There's no way I'd be comfortable in a bathhouse naked, essentially showing off how big I am...

“Boring but fine. I’ll try and make sure the boys don’t take too long!” Ben rushed into the bathhouse and left me out here all alone. I slowly dragged my body to the curb and sat down. Let’s see, the boys have lots of offers but we only want the best. Podcast, no. Radio, yes. Billboards, yes. City screens, yes. Collab with a sports drink? I’ll have to ask them.

As Eve sat there, minding her own business she didn’t notice the bathhouse opening and a demon slowly stalking its way over to her. Its lanky arms reached out to her and were about to start sucking her soul, however Huntrix exited the building looking exhausted and their eyes went wide.

“Eve!” I quickly turned my head around as Zoey tackled me.

“Ow! What the-” I tried to look around but Zoey slapped her hand over my eyes. I heard the sound of a pop as I tried to push her off. Why is she so strong? “What are you doing?” I ask, shaking my head to see past her hand.

“Oh, uh, nothing! Just saw a spider!” Zoey jumped off me and reached a hand out. I looked at her like she grew three heads because there’s no way she reacted that way due to a spider.

“Are you serious?” I questioned her as I used her hand to pull myself up.

“Yep! Sorry, I’m terrified of them.” Zoey awkwardly chuckled, rocking back and forth on her feet.

“Sure…” I reluctantly accept the answer and notice Rumi and Mira behind her. “Why’d you come to the show? Did Jinu invite you? If he promised money I’m so sorry but there’s no way we can afford you guys, I hope you don’t hold it against us, I promise to pay you back in the future-”

“No! We just wanted to congratulate them!” Rumi quickly cut me off and smiled.

“Right, I don’t believe that considering how Jinu acted earlier today.” I remind them of the incident.

“Do you know where they’re from?” Mira asked, glaring at me.

“What? Uh, no? Sorry.” I looked around for Ben or any of the Saja’s.

“How long have you known them?” Mira took a few steps forward, making me back up.

“Like, a month or so?” I raised a brow at her, why was she so interested?

“How’d you meet them?” Mira kept walking towards me. I backed up more and tripped a bit on the curb, making me look back.

“They were hiring, I needed a job.”

“You like them?”

“They’re okay?” I hesitantly said. “I mean, they’re great but at the end of the day they’re boys and every boy I’ve met has been an idiot.” I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. My back hit the wall and suddenly I felt trapped.

“Do you know who they really are?” Mira placed her hands on the wall, each hand on either side of my head as she stared down at me.

“Um, I mean, I haven’t known them long? So, no? Why’re you interrogating me right now?” I whispered, worried she might do something if I was any louder.

“Mira! Sorry about her! We’re just curious about the Saja Boys.” Rumi forced out a laugh as she dragged Mira away.

“And you! I mean, in a professional way.” Zoey blushed hard and looked anywhere but me.

“Um, okay…” I coughed and tried to hide my face. It felt like it was on fire. Suddenly I spotted Ben waving me over, I guess there was another exit. “I gotta go.” I quickly walk away and run up to Ben.

“Mira. What was that?” Rumi stared at her in shock.

“I was trying to figure out if she was a demon or not.” Mira scoffed and looked away.

“Yeah but now she thinks we’re weird!” Zoey complained, pouting.

“I think she’s human.” Mira mumbled, confused.

“Why would demons use her?” Zoey questioned, looking over at where Eve was.

“Use her to look more real. As well as that choreographer. They thanked them earlier in the show, now they look legit.” Rumi grumbled, walking away.

“We have to protect her- them! Both of them.” Zoey blushed again.

“Yeah, we can’t let the demons hurt them.” Mira looked at their leader, waiting for her word.

“You’re right. We have to get close to them, not only to protect them but to maybe get a chance to kill those stupid Saja Boys.” Rumi looked back at her girls and smiled. “Let’s do it.”

“Jinu?” I knock lightly on the door. We’ve really turned this place around. I don’t know how the boys did it but this abandoned warehouse is now an office, studio and home. “Jinu?” I twist the handle, unlocked. “Hey, I just wanna talk bout Hun-” As I look in the room I notice the empty bed and open window. “Oh Jinu…” I frown a bit and close the door. Out of all the boys Jinu is the one that seems to see this as a job. The others have fun and mess around, never Jinu.

“Hey, Jinu in there? I wanna congratulate him!” Ben walked up to me, smile wide.

“Oh, uh. Passed out, sorry.” I let out a soft laugh and grab Ben by the arm, “Let’s get drunk. We have to celebrate. Let the boys rest.”

“Oh, yeah okay.” Ben looked disappointed for a moment before getting excited. “Soju?” I throw my head back and laugh.

“You’re tryna get me fucked up.”

“You said celebrate!” Ben laughed as we got in my car.

“True. Can I ask you something?” I glanced over at Ben as we drove off.

“Yeah?”

“Have you noticed anything weird about the boys?” I chewed on my lip, waiting for the answer.

“No?” Ben raised a brow at me, “Why?”

“Nothing, I’m just worried about their image.” I quickly brush him off. Why did Huntrix, or I suppose Mira, care so badly about the boys? Oh god, maybe they’re crushing! That would explain the uninvited entrance and all the questions! Man, I hope they don’t think I’ll be their wingman.

“So, what’s next, Miss manager?” Ben teased, letting out a giggle.

“Well, talk shows, billboards and I’m in talks with a manufacturing company for merch.” I casually mention, making a turn to our place.

“Merch? Wow, already?” Ben looked at me with shock.

“Yeah Ben, things move quickly in this world. If we don’t get merch out soon people will lose interest.” I quickly explain why as we pull up. “Here, read my emails, get a feel for it.” I quickly pass my phone to Ben and get out.

“Holy shit! That’s a lot of zero’s.” Ben must have been staring at one of the offers from record labels.

“Yep. Saja Boys are going to be big.”

Chapter Text

Blood on my lips, iron in my mouth. Fuck. Biting them has always been a bad habit but now it’s only gotten worse. I quickly lick away the residue and rub my eyes. It was late, or I guess it’s early? The sun was starting to rise as I sent through one last email. I could maybe get a bit of sleep? Fuck it, too much to do. Looking out my window I see a Huntrix screen turn into Saja Boys.

A part of me feels bad but at the same time Huntrix has plenty of time in the spotlight, it’s our time now. I yawn, slugging my way to the kitchen I start the kettle. I’m not one for coffee so it’ll have to be caffeinated tea. I go to wash my hands but then I see it. Mira’s number. Do I bother? They probably want me to hook them up with the Saja Boys. I let out a deep sigh and stared at it. It was taunting me. Showing me something I could never have…

My phone buzzed and I reached forward, snapping out of it. Another email, how exciting. I roll my eyes and turn around, leaning against the counter as I read it.

Hope you’re not ignoring us xoxo.

What? I blinked, once then twice. Looking at the sender my eyes go wild. Huntrix. Speak of the devil and they shall appear. How’d they get my email? The kettle whistled, steam pouring into the kitchen. I snatched it and placed it down on the counter. Fuck it.

Hello?
Creepy email lol

Had to get your attention somehow.
Also that was Zoey.

Okay, so it was them and they didn’t give me a fake number.

Ur up early

So are you.

Guilty

We’re practicing, wanna get a drink in 30?

With lil ol me? Im honoured

That a yes?

Text me the address

My hands moved before I could even process it. Great, a date with Mira, what could go wrong?

She’s late. She invited me and she’s late! Who does that? I groan and get up. This was stupid, of course famous idols don’t want to hang out with you.

“Sorry, I’m here!” I snapped my head around.

“Rumi? Thought Mira was meeting me?” I ask, raising a brow at her. She had her casual clothes on, hood up.

“She was! She just got caught up with something else, so here I am! I hope that’s okay.” Rumi smiled softly at me, rubbing her arm.

“Uh, yeah. That’s fine.” I sit back down and offer her the seat across from me. “Not everyday I get to speak to someone as famous as you, what brings you to me?” I smile, looking into her eyes. Her chocolatey brown eyes, dark and mysterious.

“You’re the manager for the Saja Boys, you’re with famous people all the time.” Rumi chuckled a little.

“Not as famous as you.” I emphasise that part and look at the menu.

“Oh, well, get used to it. Those guys are climbing quickly.” Rumi muttered the last part, almost annoyed.

“Riiiight…” I awkwardly chuckled and buried my face in the menu. “So, gonna get anything?” I waved the menu around a bit. Rumi turned red and picked it up.

“Right! Yes!” Rumi hid her face.

“My treat, see it as payback for Jinu stealing one of your juice things.” I smile softly at her, looking around for the line. I’m not that familiar with Korea in general, so to add in a new area I’ve never been? Big yikes.

“You really don’t have to.” Rumi slowly peered over her menu.

“No seriously, it’s eating me alive.” I chuckle, placing my menu down.

“Okay. Green Tea, extra strong.” Rumi placed her menu down and smiled.

“Any food?” I questioned. Tea makes sense, needs to soothe her throat in between press and tours.

“Oh! No thanks.” Rumi slumped back in her chair, pulling her hood closer to her.

“Oh, okay.” I nervously smile and walk to the line. I was going to get this really delicious looking cake but now I’ll just seem big. I can always eat later, right? “One green tea, extra strong. As well as a hot chocolate please.” I slowly ordered. My Korean was not bad by any means but when it comes to ordering or big social events it always seems to slip my mind.

Minutes went by as I waited there, standing. I could have gone back to my seat with Rumi but it was so awkward! It would have been awkward with Mira as well but since I wasn’t even expecting Rumi it feels worse. I slowly pulled out my phone and yawned, looking over the schedules. All the boys got a copy of it, let’s hope they read it. The lady calls my name and I thank her, taking our drinks to the table.

“One tea.” I placed it in front of her and sat.

“Thank you.” Rumi quietly started sipping her tea, face still red. “So, any big plans?”

“Hm? Oh, the boys? Just press things. I’m sure you know how it is.” I smiled softly at her and stirred my drink. “It’s a bit hectic but they’ll get used to it. If their small brains let it.” I mutter the last part, sipping my drink.

“You don't seem to like them that much.” Rumi giggled a bit.

“Ugh, no, I do! I just, they’re boys. All boys suck, including them.” I laugh a bit and roll my eyes.

“Even the choreographer?”

“Nah he’s chill.” I shrug and yawn. “I’ve known him since we were little. He’s the only acceptable one.” I jokingly say as my phone buzzes.

“Where are you guys from? I don’t mean to sound rude but…” Rumi trails off, trying to figure out how to put it nicely.

“I’m as pale as a ghost? Trust me, I know. We’re from some city in America, isn’t important.” I wave her off with a chuckle and look at my phone.

Where are you????

I quickly glance at the time.

“Shit. Uh, I gotta go.” I quickly stand and leave my barely touched drink. “It was nice speaking to you. Have Mira give you my number and we can hang again sometime!”

“Wait! Where are you going?” Rumi stands and grabs my wrist. My face flushed red, staring at her hand.

“Um, work. Boys need me…” I whisper, looking up at her, staring into those big brown eyes. Rumi flushed pink, slowly pulling her hand away.

“Oh! Right… Good luck.” Rumi smiles at me, there’s a hint of disappointment? No, that can’t be right. I don’t know, I don’t have the time to think about it.

“Bye!” I quickly rush out of the cafe and jump into my car.

As I arrived at the studio I was immediately surrounded by fans.

“Eve! When will the Saja boys play next!?!”
“We love Saja!”
“I got a tattoo of the Saja Boys!!”

I quickly pushed through them all into the building. Letting out a sigh I lean against the door. Is this my new life? Listening to screaming fans. Goodbye eardrums.

“Eve!” Ben rushed up to me. “Saja Boys need your help.” Ben slapped his hands onto my shoulders and stared into my eyes.

“What’d they do?”

“They forgot what to say for the interview! They’re talking nonsense! Cute nonsense but still nonsense!” Ben started dragging me to the dressing room.

“Ben. Calm down.”

“Sorry!”

“It’s fine, just chill out.” I push past Ben into the dressing room. Shirtless men, everywhere. Ew. Should have knocked.

“Eep!” Ben hid behind the wall, I could feel his face heating up from here.

“Why is Benny telling me you forgot what to say? How do you forget?! You thank the fans, be nice and professional, tease new music! That’s it!” I stormed into the room and crossed my arms.

“Woah, Eve, babe. Changing here!” Abs scoff and flexed a bit.

“As if I care! Get your asses ready before I hurt you!” The boys quickly started running around the room, finishing their outfits and getting their final touches ready.

“Yes, Ma’am!” They all called out, fear in their eyes. The only way to control a bunch of boys is with a stern attitude and hard resolve. They just won’t listen otherwise.

“Jinu.” I narrowed my eyes at him.

“Um, yes?” His voice went up an octave.

“Take the lead. Don’t let the boys answer any questions unless they are directly asked. Got it?” I glared at him, ready to start fighting if he disagreed.

“Yes! Yes, Ma’am!” Jinu bowed low and started telling off the other boys.

“Seriously. Be yourselves to a degree. Don’t tell the world about your sexual habits, don’t be inappropriate." I side eye Abs. “Do not bring up anything that is unrelated to the question, and for the love of god, please do not ruin your image.” I let out a sigh and walked away. “Fuck me gently with a chainsaw.” I mutter in English, done with this press tour already. I heard Ben chuckle before letting out a squeak from Abs flirting. Abs is such a bisexual and it pains me that he doesn’t even know it. Wait. Fuck I should have told them to be as straight as possible! These boys will get touchy with each other so often it makes me question them. Fuck-

“Saja Boys to the stage. Live in 5!” A voice over the speaker called out, causing the boys to run out and past me. I hear a chorus of thank you’s and similar words.

“Good luck Saja. Lord, do you need it.” I mumble, walking to the stage, hanging out behind the camera.

After a few hours of press the boys are on their way to get their picture taken, again. They’re going to be in a magazine for up and coming KPOP groups. No stress, won’t be too hard.

I said, too hopeful. Abs is insisting on being shirtless! The company is agreeing if ALL the boys go shirtless! Do we really want them to be seen as degenerates already!?

“No, no. Look. My other boys aren’t comfortable with that. Abby does not make decisions for the group. If he wants to go shirtless and you’re okay with that then great! Do NOT force the others to do it! Understood!?” I point in the photographer's face, snarl on my face.

“Y-Yes!” He whimpered out, running away. I sigh and brush off my clothes. Maybe that was a bit harsh, but to be fair I am running on zero hours of sleep and can’t deal with bullshit right now. Looking back at the boys I see Jinu and Baby give me appreciative looks. They’re so lucky to have a manager as amazing as me. I won’t let this industry exploit them. Slowly I walked back up to the boys, a strained smile on my face.

“So! No one else needs to go shirtless. It’s too early in your career to be doing that anyway. We’re trying to build a brand around all of you separately and as a group. Abs, if you want to then great! That will fit your brand amazingly. Do not force your band mates to do the same. Not only is it bad for their image, it makes them uncomfortable, okay?” I weakly smile at the himbo.

“Okayyyy, I get it. Sorry dudes.” Abs wraps them in a hug. They all hug back, some of them slower than others.

“Get back out there guys. You got this.” I encourage them and start to shoo them away. They quickly and naturally pose for the camera. Shouldn’t be here for much longer. Hopefully. Looking at the time we should have time to get the boys lunch. It’s only 1pm.

“Hey, lunch?” I call out to the boys, they start yelling over each other and forget the camera. “One at a time, please.” I chuckle a bit and look at them all.

“Dumplings!” Abs smiled brightly, shaking Mystery.
“Ramyeon.” Mystery quietly muttered.
“Tteokbokki, please.” Romance smirked, quickly going back to posing. Is he mogging?
“Something spicy.” Baby of course gave me nothing else to work with.
“Whatever is easiest, Miss Manager.” Jinu bowed his head a little bit.

Oh Jinu, always the most considerate. Ben walked up to me and wrote down a list of places in the area with those food items.

“How’d you get that so quick?” I smirked.

“Oh! Uh, was also hungry! Yup!” Ben stuttered out.

“Really? Not cause you have a big fat crush and know what the boys like?” I whisper, teasing him.

“No! Uh, bye!” Ben ran off to, well I don’t know, away. I chuckle a bit and look at the list. Okay, sounds doable. I quickly send a text to Ben to have the boys meet in the lounge for lunch when they’re done.

Walking the street wasn’t difficult. Walking the street when your arms are full of scalding hot food? That was difficult. I quickly mutter to the people passing by, hoping they can hear my apologies as I push past. Right as I’m about to enter the building I walk into someone.

“Sorry!” I called out, moving the food in my arms to see if they were okay.

“Eve?” Zoey smiled up at me, taking a step back. “What a coincidence! Funny seeing you here.” Zoey said, not suspicious at all. "What're you doing here?"

“Uh, working?” I smile a bit and walk past her. “Can’t talk, sorry. Boys need food! Text me?” I call out to her as I start to walk away.

“Yeah! Sure!” Zoey cheerfully exclaimed.

Zoey watched the girl walk away. Her heart was racing. She couldn’t let this cute fan get her soul taken by some smelly demons. Zoey frowned and slowly followed her, stopping at the building she had just gone into. Would it be weird if she followed her? Yes. It would. Zoey sighed and pouted. She pulled out her phone and messaged her girls.

“Here we go.” I carefully placed the food down and the second it hit the table the boys rushed forward to get their food. I giggled, handing Ben a bag of food as well. “Eat up!” I called out.

“You gonna eat?” Baby questioned, tearing into his extra spicy food. I had to beg them to make it spicier than normal so Baby could actually feel the kick.

“Huh? Oh…” I looked down at the bags, realising I forgot to get myself something. “Nah, ate a big breakfast!” I smiled at the group, lying.

“Want some of mine?” Ben offered his food and I quickly shook my head.

“Gotta go. Tell the other interviewers that we won’t be answering any questions that aren’t related to their song.” I scoff, earlier some guy was asking them personal questions. Had to cut the interview short, the boys looked super uncomfortable. If they don’t want to talk about their past, they don’t have to.

The rest of the day went smoothly, although around 3pm my stomach started growling up something fierce. Ate a protein bar and moved on, didn’t have time for anything else. I drove behind the boys SUV, arriving at their warehouse slash home. Stepping out I hugged them all one by one.

“We'll do it all again tomorrow guys. Hope you’re ready. Get plenty of sleep.” I sent them off to their place and dragged my feet back to my car. Ben hopped in the driver's seat before I could. “Ben.”

“You’re dead on your feet. Lemme drive.” I sighed and crawled into the passenger’s side, curling up, ready to sleep. “Good work today. Take a nap and I’ll cook dinner when we’re home.”

“Not hungry.” I mumbled, closing my eyes.

“Fine, but you’re eating breakfast with me tomorrow.”

“Deal.” I smile softly. Quickly it disappeared as my phone buzzed.

“Leave it.” Ben drove off, frowning.

“Could be important.” I mumble, blindly reaching for it. I hold it up to my face and squint as it blinds me.

Hope you had a good day.
Dinner?
Feel bad bout this morning

A smile reappeared before I let out a sigh.

Tired.
Raincheck?

Tomorrow.

perfect

Text me your address, i’ll pick you up at 8.

I send through my address and look at Ben.

“Guess who’s got a date.”

“For real?!”

“Nah.” I laugh, swinging my head back.

“Rude.” Ben pouted as we pulled into the driveway.

“Mira invited me to dinner. So don’t worry, I’ll eat plenty for dinner.”

“Oh? Yeah?” Ben smirked, wiggling his eyebrows.

“Not like that!” I blushed and hid my face. Ben roared out in laughter and pulled me into a hug. “Probably wants me to set Huntrix up with the boys. Totes crushing on them.” I mumble, shaking the blush off. Yeah, that’s all it is. They want me to be their wingman. Right?

2k words Can't seem to write more than that for a chapter sorry! I tend to try and write (or aim to write) 3-5k, so this is a lil disappointing for me, regardless. hope you like! I tend to have 1 chapter written in advance, so chapter 5 is done while I'm working on 6 and omfg. i hope we're excited to see the next chapter, it's fantastic
