Chapter Text
Not long ago, the monotonous daily life in the familiar world came to an end with the sudden appearance of “Scenario”—the Star Stream, Dokkaebi, and constellations.
To ordinary people, it must have been bewildering—what on earth had happened?
Ordinary people might be confused, wondering what on earth was happening. But for those who’d read the novel ‘Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse’, they understood immediately what had occurred.
That novel had become reality—emerging in the real world they lived in.
The corpses left behind after the conclusion of the “Main Scenario #1” was proof that everything was happening for real—and that humanity must accept this truth, as if it were the beginning of Apocalypse.
Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse would proceed with what was called “Scenario”. Each Scenario comes with its own details, rewards, and punishments. People could only follow along as dictated.
And now, One of the most important Main Scenario in the Seoul Dome was about to begin: Main Scenario #10 – “73rd Demon King”
Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Dokja, the Dark Castle Ranking 1 and 2, had the right to lead this Scenario. Each could bring along a select number of team members into the Scenario.
After discussing and organizing their teams, everyone set off to the site for Scenario #10, a white marble temple on a nearby hill.
However, as soon as they stepped onto the entrance steps, something strange happened.
Suddenly, A dome of red light materialized, enveloping the entire temple like a large dome. It was the Scenario’s boundary—impassable by force or high-level weapon.
A bright red alert window popped up in front of Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk, completely different from the usual blue notifications.
[Warning! A dimensional anomaly has been detected!]
[The area for the main Scenario #10 is in a state of temporal stasis.]
“What? The Scenario area is in a state of temporal stasis? Is that area frozen in time?” Kim Dokja opened the Scenario info window to verify. He noticed the original time limit—30 days—was gone, replaced by meaningless characters that flickered and scrambled unpredictably.
As the only reader of Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse, Kim Dokja couldn’t recall such an event ever happening. He fell silent, pondering, then gathered everyone to discuss.
Suddenly, something drew their attention: a new blue-framed rectangle appeared, like a giant door, along with a new secret Scenario that pops up in front of everyone.
[Secret Scenario: Clear Dungeon ???]
Category: Secret
Difficulty: A
Clear Conditions: Eliminate all monsters in the dungeon
Time Limit: ???
Reward: ???
Penalty for Failure: ???
“Wait a minute, that kind of door— Is that a dungeon door? This plot feels familiar” Han Sooyoung commented. As a novelist, she knew what the popular fantasy novel plots were like these days. The young woman whispered to Kim Dokja.
“That plot, ‘Strange doors appear all over the world. People don’t know what they are or where they come from. Then one day, BOOM! A lot of monsters emerge from the door. A number of people awaken special power to fight them and become Hunters!’ Or what’s called a Hunter-Gate-Dungeon fantasy plot or something like that.”
“Ah, that’s the genre that was at the top of the list on the fantasy novel website where you posted your plagiarized novels” he replied.
"Hey! This guy! I told you I didn't plagiarize!"
"Oh…yes, I believe you," Kim Dokja replied perfunctorily. "In most plots, the world remains normal, with ordinary people still living their lives. Only awakened hunters have to fight monsters in the gate, right?”
Kim Dokja responded, “But TWSA is set in a Apocalyptic world. There’s no normal life here. Everyone has to use everything they have to survive."
"That's true, TWSA is a different plot. I just saw this style of door and thought of those novel plots," Han Sooyoung shrugged. "Perhaps that door accidentally connects to another world with that kind of plot. Who knows?"
"You have a great imagination."
Since the main scenario had mysteriously come to a standstill, the Dokkaebi seemed so preoccupied with the anomaly that they didn't bother to inform the avatars who were about to participate in Main Scenario #10.
Their only option now was to proceed with the secret scenario that had appeared.
"Given the current situation, I think we should enter this dungeon door to clear this secret scenario."
Kim Dokja said, glancing around at the members present. "We'll split into two groups. One group will enter the dungeon to proceed with the secret scenario, while the other group will stay here and observe the situation."
The team entering the dungeon consisted of Kim Dokja, Yoo Junghyuk, Han Sooyoung, Yoo Sangah, Lee Gilyoung, and Shin Yoosung.
They didn't take long to prepare before setting off through the blue gate. The atmosphere upon entering the gate was completely different from the outside.
A vast expanse of golden grassland, with scattered fragments of ruined temples visible. The air was hot, but there was an occasional breeze.
And most importantly,
[Warning! This area is beyond the reach of the Star Stream]
A region beyond the reach of the Star Stream?
In this dungeon?
It seems like everyone received the same notification at the same time. Kim Dokja scanned the other members. No one showed any signs of illness or abnormality.
This meant that the area beyond the Star Stream had no effect on anyone's avatars.
Yoo Joonghyuk was also curious. How was this area different from the normal scenario area?
He tested it by using his own skills and weapons.
"Skills and weapons can be used normally" he said.
"But the Channel system can't be used," Kim Dokja continued to check other things.
"The coin system and the Dokkaebi shop can't be used either."
After checking several things, they concluded that various skills and abilities can be used normally in this dungeon.
However, because it's outside the area, what's happening here isn't visible to the Dokkaebi or the constellations.
"Will it be okay if it's like this?" Yoo Sangah asked Kim Dokja worriedly.
"It should be okay for now."
the young man in the white robe replied before turning to the rest of the team. "Everyone, let's defeat all the monsters in this dungeon and exit quickly."
This dungeon is a vast grassland terrain, with mid-to-high level monsters scattered about. Given the monster levels and the sheer size of the dungeon, if they had slowly explored the area and slaughtered monsters along the way, it would have taken them nearly four or five days.
However, due to the greatly improved skill levels of each team member, their strength and speed, they had already cleared almost all of the dungeon in just two days.
Only one monster remained, resembling a giant leopard. Its power was the most powerful of all the monsters in the dungeon.
It was the final boss of the dungeon.
"Ahjusshi, is that the boss monster? The final monster of this dungeon, right?"
"Just defeat it and we'll clear this scenario!"
The six members were now hiding in the bushes. Shin Yoosung and Gilyoung were eager to go out and fight the monster, but Kim Dokja quickly stopped them.
"We don't know what special abilities this boss monster has, so let's use the basic battle formation we've been practicing."
The young man explained the plan to everyone. "Yoo Joonghyuk and I will be the front line, Han Sooyoung and Yoo Sangah-ssi will attack from mid-range, and the kids supporting from behind."
It was a simple battle formation, but it was effective. With the current skill of the team, it shouldn't take long to take down a single high-level boss monster.
After all the members worked together to fight the giant leopard boss monster, which had been severely injured and was in critical condition.
Suddenly, something unusual happened.
The giant leopard's body glowed with a strange red light and exploded violently. The blast sent Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk, the closest to the front line, bounce off several meters away.
"Dokja-ssi! Yoo Joonghyuk-ssi!"
Yoo Sangah rushed to the two men, worried. She scanned the smoke and saw a figure in a white coat lying face down in the distance.
As for Yoo Junghyuk, he wasn't far away. He was getting up from the ground, clutching his head with his left hand, as if he had a headache.
Judging from the rest of his body, he appeared to be fine and had not sustained any serious injuries.
“Yoo Joonghyuk-ssi, you're safe, right?” Yoo Sangah said to the young man in front of her, looking in another direction.
She saw the small figures of Shin Yoosung and Lee Gilyoung approaching Kim Dokja at the same time.
"I hope Dokja-ssi is safe as well."
"...you" a deep voice rang out from the man in front of her. His expression was one of obvious confusion and doubt.
"Who are you?"
"What did you say?" she asked back, equally confused.
Yoo Joonghyuk (?) turned his head left and right, examining the surroundings.
He saw a young woman with long brown hair in front of him, a petite woman with short black hair behind him, and in the distance, a man in a white coat lying on the ground, watched closely by a young girl and a boy in his late elementary school years.
With the eyes of an S-class Hunter, besides the white-coat man lying face down on the ground, he could clearly see the faces of those people.
There was no one he was familiar with.
"Who are you?" he asked again.
"What's wrong with you? Don't you remember us?" Han Sooyoung joined the conversation. She noticed that the situation was getting worse, Yoo Joonghyuk was acting strange.
Perhaps, the boss monster's explosion had affected this regressor in some way.
Not getting the answer he wanted, Yoo Joonghyuk (?) frowned, his eyes gleaming with coldness.
Just now, he remembered fighting a solo A-rank dungeon boss that looked like a giant leopard, while his brother was hiding behind a large rock a bit further away.
The boss monster had been severely injured, it exploded violently. Then, when he recovered from the explosion, five strangers appeared in the dungeon.
It was strange, because the dungeon's gate would close within an hour of the first person entering. It wouldn't be open until the person inside had cleared the dungeon and defeated the boss monster.
The only people inside were him and his brother. It had been almost two days, so they shouldn't have appeared in this dungeon.
And most importantly, his brother wasn't here right now.
"Where's my older brother?"
His tone became harsher, but his manner of speaking was polite, unlike Yoo Joonghyuk's usual manner. Han Soo-young was now certain that something was up with this guy.
"You don't have an older brother, Yoo Joonghyuk-ssi. You only have a younger sister, don't you?" Yoo Sangah replied honestly, determined to help Yoo Joonghyuk (?) regain his memory as quickly as possible.
But it backfired. The tall man's gaze darkened even further.
"It seems you can't give me an answer" he swept his hand to the side, and then, black flames that they had never seen before appeared and burned all over the area.
"Then, all of you should disappear, so I can go to find my brother" Yoo Joonghyuk (?) said coldly.
The situation was getting worse. Yoo Sangah and Han Soo-young quickly retreated. They signaled Shin Yoosung and Lee Gilyoung. The two children nodded and summoned monsters to distract him.
It's possible that Yoo Joonghyuk received a psychic attack when the boss monster exploded.
Although he was powerful, because he was a regressor, he has a weakness in being weak against mental attacks.
There was one person who could best handle Yoo Joonghyuk's situation.
Han Sooyoung rushed towards the man in the white coat, who was still lying on the ground. She grabbed his collar and shook him.
"Kim Dokja! Wake up! Go smack that guy in the head and bring him back to his senses! I don't know what psychic attack he's been dealing with. He's been unleashing black flames!"
Finally, the petite woman's efforts paid off.
Kim Dokja (?) opened his eyes. However, his expression and eyes were confused.
“Uh… who are you?”
“WHAT?!” Han Sooyoung shouted, stunned. "Don't you remember us either!?"

Hello, dear readers !. This is my first time posting fanfic on ao3.
This is Crossover fanfic of ORV & My S-Class Hunters. I wrote it because I read both webtoons and really liked them a lot.1.English is not my first language. I tried translating this fanfic into English. (I like this fanfic. It's really funny. I want foreign readers to get to know it too)
2.Most of the content is based on the webtoon versions of both series. I mainly read them in my own language, so some names may difference from the English version.
3.The timeline in this fanfic:
- ORV Webtoon, around chapter 213 (before entering the main scenario #10)
- My S-Class Hunters, around chapter 153 (end of Season 1).4.There are spoilers from both My S-Class Hunters novel and ORV novel. The spoilers are hidden, not too obvious (kind of like Easter eggs). Readers who don’t know the story might not notice, but those who do will probably catch on right away to what’s being spoiled, LOL.
As for the major, direct spoilers, I’ll put up a clear spoiler warning beforehand.
Chapter Text
“WHAT?! Don’t you remember us either!?”
The short-haired women's voice made him blink in confusion. Rather than saying he didn't remember these people, he should have said he didn't know them, that he had never seen them before.
His name was Han Yoojin, an F-rank Hunter.
About two days ago, he had invited his younger brother, Han Yoohyun—an S-rank Hunter, to enter a dungeon together in order to inquire and verify some information from the System's administrator.
The dungeon they chose was a D-rank dungeon with moderate monster difficulty. It was a dungeon that S-rank Hunter Han Yoohyun trusted could protect his brother safely.
Han Yoojin had a special agreement with the System's architects. If he knocked three times at any dungeon door, that door would lead to a special dungeon created by the System's administrator. It was a place without regular monsters, making it easy to talk to the System about various matters.
However, there seemed to be a problem this time.
Even after knocking three times, the dungeon inside remained its original form. It hadn't transformed into the special dungeon with the snowy mountain environment it was supposed to be. Furthermore, there was no response from the System.
Han Yoojin felt confused, but he had no other choice. He had to proceed with his brother and clear the dungeon as usual before returning to the dungeon gate.
Thanks to the S-rank Hunter’s skills, clearing the D-rank dungeon was swift and easy.
With the skill of an S-rank Hunter, slaying monsters in a D-rank dungeon like this was easy and fast.
In just a moment, almost all the monsters were defeated, leaving only the final boss of the dungeon, a giant deer-like creature.
But suddenly, something unusual happened. The giant deer had its throat ripped open by a giant leopard monster that appeared out of nowhere, splattering blood everywhere.
The Han brothers instantly realized that the giant leopard monster had become the dungeon's new boss.
Moreover, the dungeon’s difficulty had been upgraded from D-rank to A-rank.
Han Yoohyeon told his brother to hide while he faced the boss alone. Han Yoojin judged the new boss to still be within his brother’s capabilities, so he relaxed a little.
The S-rank hunter had chased the leopard boss monster and suffered a fatal wound. Everything was proceeding as it should.
...until the monster's body suddenly glowed bright red and exploded violently.
That was all Han Yoojin remembered before waking up in front of these unknown people.
" What happened? Is Dokja-ssi experiencing the same symptoms as Yoo Joonghyuk-ssi?"
A woman with long brown hair hurried over and spoke to the petite woman in front of him.
“Yes, he doesn’t remember any of us.”
"W-what can we do now? Both Yoo Joonghyuk-ssi and Dokja-ssi are like this already."
"How would I know?"
Despite his confusion, Han Yoojin quickly took stock of his surroundings.
The first thing he noticed was Eunhye. His highest-level damage-reduction item wasn't on his wrist. His clothes had changed—He was wearing a black shirt under a long white coat.
‘If I heard correctly, what did they just call me? Dokja... or was it? Who is that?’
To be sure, Han Yoojin called up his status window to check.
Awakened: Kim Dokja (Han Yoojin)
Current Rank: S
Potential Rank: ???
The name prominently displayed on the status window wasn't just 'Han Yoojin' as it should be. Instead, there was 'Kim Dokja' alongside it.
‘Could it be...?’
Han Yoojin immediately had a certain possibility flash through his mind, but he didn’t have the time to confirm that thought—because the current situation had far more urgent matters to deal with.
“Damn it! What should I do now? If no one snaps Yoo Joonghyuk out of it, we’re in big trouble!”
The petite short-haired girl scratched her head in frustration. She turned to look not far off, where a tall man in a black coat fighting a monster. Looking closely, it became clear the monster was trying to hold off and stall him rather than actually fight to the death.
Right now, the man known as Yoo Joonghyuk was unleashing his power like crazy. He was a tall, muscular man with slightly tanned skin, like someone who had been exposed to the sun, and wavy black hair. He had a handsome face and fierce eyes.
Han Yoojin wasn't familiar with the other man's face, but he recognized the black flames burning around him. The scorching heat had condensed into a pitch-black color.
[Blackfire] (SS)
"Yoohyun?"
It was his younger brother's skill.
Awakened: Yoo Joonghyuk (Han Yoohyun)
Current Rank: S
Potential Rank: ???
The status window that appeared after using the [As the twig is bent, so grows the tree] (S) detection skill confirmed that the man was indeed Yoohyun.
And he was also in the body of someone else, just like Han Yoojin.
He knew his younger brother's personality well. That younger brother could burn a forest dungeon to ashes simply because Yoojin had disappeared.
If Yoohyun hadn't calmed down quickly, it would have been a real problem.
With that thought in mind, Han Yoojin in Kim Dokja's body, hurriedly ran towards the tall man in black.
Yoojin's status was currently S-rank, so he was confident that he could brave the heat of the black flames and reach his brother without sustaining any serious injuries.
But as he approached the fire, Han Yoojin could feel that the black flames didn't feel hot to him at all.
Yes, it was the same back then. When Han Yoohyun had his memories stolen by a jellyfish, despite his memory loss, Yoohyun's flames never harmed him.
'Yoohyun... Even though he didn't know I was here, his flames were still the same. They hadn't changed at all.'
The corner of Yoojin's mouth twitched slightly with a proud smile. This little brother was still a good boy who always cared for his older brother.
But Yoojin knew that Yoohyun's black flames weren't safe for others.
Especially when surrounded by strangers like this, it would be easy to mistake them for enemies. So he had better stop him as soon as possible.
Han Yoojin's expression became more serious than before and he shouted loudly to his younger brother.
"Yoohyun! I'm here! Stop using your skills!"
"...Hyung?"
Although his tone sounded slightly different, the speech pattern was definitely his brother's.
Han Yoohyun turned quickly toward the source of the voice. He saw Han Yoojin standing there. His brother's clothes had changed. He wasn't wearing the clothes he'd worn in the last dungeon, but a long white coat he hadn't seen before.
The black-haired man was looking back at him with concern, but also with joy at the reunion.
"Hyung! Are you okay?"
The S-rank hunter's eyes widened. He deactivated his Blackfire skill and lunged at him. He gripped his upper arm tightly, scanning his brother from head to toe, searching for any injuries.
"I'm fine. Don't worry," the man in the white coat said, smiling widely.
Seeing his face up close, Han Yoohyun paused for a moment.
'This person... isn't my brother, but he looks so much like him?' He felt confused. 'But his inner personality... it’s definitely still Yoojin-Hyung. What's going on?'
Sensing his brother’s thoughts, Han Yoojin spoke with a thoughtful expression.
“Yoohyun, I think we're experiencing something strange”
A short distance away, where Kim Dokja (?) had just regained consciousness, Han Sooyoung, Yoo Sangah, Shin Yoosung, and Lee Gilyoung were gathered, watching and discussing the odd behavior of their two seemingly changed teammates.
"It seems... things have cleared up now? Their memories should be back to normal."
Yoo Sangah sighed in relief. As soon as Kim Dokja (?) woke up, he went to talk to Yoo Joonghyuk (?) until the man calmed down and stopped going on a rampage, no longer sending black flames everywhere.
But Han Sooyoung disagreed, crossing her arms.
Han Soo-young disagreed, crossing her arms across her chest.
“No... I think it’s way more complicated than it looks.”
The petite, short-haired woman could roughly guess what had happened when she heard Kim Dokja (?) calling Yoo Joonghyuk (?) by an unknown name.
Before she could say anything more, Shin Yoosung called out that Kim Dokja (?) is heading this way and Yoo Joonghyuk (?) followed closely behind.
The man in the white coat asked everyone.
"Excuse me, do you have a mirror I can borrow?"
"Oh, I have one. Please wait a moment."
Yoo Sangah answered, rummaging through her purse and handing over a make-up mirror. Kim Dokja(?) thanked her before using it to look at his reflection and the man in black beside him.
"... That's right, it's exactly as I thought."
“Who is this guy?”
"Yoohyun, we really are in someone else's body," he said, frowning. "...Wait a minute, this guy looks so much like me. What a coincidence, huh?"
Their muttering confirmed Han Sooyoung’s suspicion. Her sharp eyes narrowed.
"You two... you’re not Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Dokja, Right?
The two men exchanged looks for a moment, as if they were having a conversation through their eyes. Then, the one in Kim Dokja’s body replied.
"Yes, it seems so," he introduced himself and briefly explained his background.
"My name is Han Yoojin, and this is my younger brother, Han Yoohyun." He gestured to Yoo Junghyuk (?) and continued explaining.
"We went into a dungeon together. My younger brother was fighting monsters in the dungeon, and suddenly, the dungeon's boss monster exploded. The blast knocked us out—and when we woke up, we were in Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk’s bodies.”
“That’s exactly what happened to us too,” said Yoo Sangah.
She introduced herself and her teammates, then explained what had happened in the dungeon. All six of them had cleared the dungeon as described in the Secret Scenario, and encountered the same dungeon boss explosion.
"Secret Scenario? What is it?" Han Yoojin asked when encountering the unfamiliar term. "Are you actors? Do you have to memorize scenario, scripts or something?"
“Huh? You’ve never heard of it?”
"I've never heard of it before," Han Yoohyun, in Yoo Jung-hyuk's body, confirmed.
“Then… are you two from outside Seoul?”
"No, we've been in Seoul all along."
There's no way anyone in Seoul wouldn't know about the 'Scenario' or the Star Stream. Now, people have already made it to the Main Scenario #10. Not knowing about this was just too strange.
Amidst the team's confusion, one person understood the situation better than anyone else.
“What’s hard to understand? These two are from another world. A world where Seoul is still normal, and the scenarios never appeared.”
As a novelist, Han Sooyoung figured she has a fairly good sense of imagination and logical deduction. Combining all the information she’d gathered since the halt of the Main Scenario #10—the sudden appearance of dungeon gates, the Secret Scenario that required dungeon clearing—it led her to a certain conclusion.
“In your world, did anything like this happen?” She then quoted a sentence she had spoken to Kim Dok-ja in full.
‘Strange doors appear all over the world. People don’t know what they are or where they come from. Then one day, BOOM! A lot of monsters emerge from the door. A number of people awaken special power to fight them and become Hunters!’
Since the current world was one where the novel "Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse" had become reality, then it was possible there were other worlds where other stories became real—like one with a Hunter-Gate- Dungeon plotline or something similar.
"...Yes, that's right." Han Yoojin agreed, her dark eyes narrowing slightly. “So your world... has experienced something entirely different, then?”
“Very different. No gates, no Hunters. This world has become a stage for the higher beings to observe for entertainment. People are forced to follow the Scenario, becoming actors who create unique and impressive stories...
Most of the Scenario focus on survival—from monsters, from fellow humans. Probably because the drama and tension make it more exciting, right? That's why the current state of the world is close to the Apocalypse."
Despite the cruel and terrifying tone of her words, Han Sooyoung shrugged indifferently.
"But whatever. You two don't need to worry about all that right now. What matters most—for both you and us—is getting you back into your original bodies. Without real Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk, it’s going to be difficult to progress through the Scenario.”
The petite, short-haired women was impressively knowledgeable. Maybe she even knew how to reverse the body swap. Thinking that, Han Yoojin asked her hopefully
"So, Han Sooyoung-ssi, Do you know how to get us back into our original bodies?"
"No, if I did, I would have done it already! Do you think I'm Google, able to answer any questions?"
"You seem to know a lot about the current situation, so I figured you'd know how to solve this problem."
“This kind of thing needs brainstorming, doesn’t it? Like... maybe we find a dungeon boss and make it explode again, to replicate the event or something.”
“Please, don’t start with the violent option”
The tall man in all black watched the two of them discuss for a while. He then suggested a seemingly plausible idea in the middle of the group.
“Hyung, how about we ask the System?”
“Oh right! That’s an option.”
In fact, that should’ve been Han Yoojin’s first course of action.
The otherworldly hunter in Kim Dokja's body looked up at the sky and shouted into the void, amidst the confused looks of the two girls and two children.
"Helloooo! System! Newbie! Volleyball! Are you there!? My brother and I had a problem — we swapped bodies with someone else. Come out and fix it!"
"What is he doing?" Han Sooyoung asked curiously, and received a reply from the stern-faced man standing nearby.
"My brother is contacting the System administrator. If there's a problem with the dungeon, only the System administrators can handle it."
"...Is that so?" She replied softly.
Judging by Han Yoojin's words to the system, he didn't use the same polite language as he used to address her and the rest of the team. It was clear that the person was quite familiar with the identity called 'the System administrators.'
After a moment of shouting, Han Yoojin fell silent, staring ahead in deep thought. A blue system window appeared—it was trying to send a reply but was flickering, with garbled symbols making it unreadable.
“Looks like we’ll need to wait for the signal to stabilize before they can send a complete message.”
Since the current plan was to wait for a system response, Yoo Sangah suggested they all take a break. During the pause, Han Yoojin locked eyes with a boy and girl who seemed unusually quiet. They flinched before averting their gaze.
'Those kids... Shin Yoosung and Lee Gilyoung, huh? They must be younger than Yerim.'
He noticed the eyes of the children looking at him—no, at 'Kim Dok-ja.' They looked at him with respect and affection, but also with a hint of awkwardness.
‘From their eyes, it’s clear Kim Dokja-ssi must be someone very important to them. But now that I’m in his body, they don’t know how to act.’
The man in the white coat decided to approach Shin Yoosung and Lee Gilyoung. He crouched down to be about the same height as the children, offering a gentle smile and eyes full of apology.
“I'm sorry, you two. It must have been quite a shock to suddenly have someone else switch bodies with Kim Dokja-ssi and Yoo Joonghyuk-ssi. My brother and I will try to find a way to return to our original bodies as soon as possible so that both can return here as before.”
The children were quiet for a moment, then exchanged a glance before replying.
“It’s okay. It was just an accident. Han Yoojin-ssi didn't mean for it to happen." said Yoosung.
"Yes, instead of worrying about that, I think we should also try to help you get back to your bodies,” said Gilyoung.
They were late elementary school children, but their thinking was even more mature than he'd expected. Han Yoojin's eyes widened. He was impressed by the two children.
“Wow, you two are so mature. Kim Dokja must’ve raised you well. That’s something to be proud of.”
The young man in the white coat smiled brightly.
Perhaps Lee Gilyoung and Shin Yoosung 's expression reminded him of Yoohyun and Yerim. Without realizing, he reached out and gently patted both children on the head.
The children paused for a moment when their heads were suddenly patted, but this was because the person in front of them was Kim Dokja's body, and he had a gentle, kind, and mature personality.
Although they felt a little embarrassed, they didn't object to Han Yoojin's actions.
After a moment, Yoojin let go of his hand. He looked at Gilyoung's face, his dark eyes shining with tenderness as he recalled the past.
“Come to think of it, Gilyoung looks like my younger brother when he was little. It’s nostalgic and so cute."
“I’m cute?” the boy asked flatly.
“Yeah.”
"Actually, I’d prefer you said I’m cool, but cute is okay too.”
Despite his boastful tone, Gilyoung's face lit up with a slight smile. It was easy to see that he was pleased to receive the compliment.
Seeing this, Not wanting to be outdone, Shin Yooseung tugged on Han Yoojin’s white sleeve.
“What about me? Am I cute too?”
“You’re just as cute, Yoosung,” Han Yoojin replied casually. Having dealt with Park Yerim before, he was used to handling kids’ need for attention.
“Hyung... what about me?”
Suddenly, a deep voice interrupted the group. A tall, muscular man in black was standing there, waiting for Han Yoojin's answer.
Realizing what he'd just talked about with the children, Han Yoojin blurted out.
“You too!?”
“Well, I am your real little brother, aren’t I?”
Seeing Yoojin complimenting the other kids, his younger brother immediately became irritated and openly expressed his feelings.
Part of Han Yoojin found it hilarious that this guy wanted to compete with the kids, even though he was already the tallest in the group.
Furthermore, he was now in the body of Yoo Joonghyuk, a handsome, cool, and stern young man. Making puppy eyes didn’t suit him at all.
But still, Han Yoojin was ready to slap the “My Yoohyun, little angel baby brother” filter onto him. To him, his little brother was adorable either way.
“No need to worry, you're the gentlest and most lovable little brother! I always love you, Yoohyun."
With that, Han Yoojin spread his arms and gave him a big hug. Yoohyun looked delighted and hugged him back.
“Love you too, hyung...”
It was a heartwarming scene.
What they didn’t know was that behind Han Yoojin’s back, Yoohyun’s lips curved into a smug, unreadable smile. His eyes glinted as he stared at the two kids like a victorious rival.
Lee Gilyoung and Shin Yoosung were instantly startled. Even though they knew the person in white wasn't the real Kim Dokja, they had been fighting for Kim Dokja's love (as brother and sister) for a long time.
Now, a powerful and terrifying rival, Yoo Joonghyuk (?), had suddenly appeared.
'A new enemy (?), huh? I can't give up!'
The two kids thought with fiery resolve, their eyes blazing with the spirit of battle.
Han Sooyoung, who had been watching the scene for a long time, twitched her eyebrows.
'What am I seeing? Yoo Joonghyuk (?) giving Kim Dokja (?) puppy-eyes, competing with the child, and hugging him intimately in front of all of us?'
She really wanted to know what expressions the two real owners of the bodies would make if they saw this scene.
Notes:
Hello, thanks for the comment.
From following fanart in the fandom, I think Yoohyun (25) looks like Junghyuk, but Yoohyun (20) looks more like Gilyoung. Dokja looks exactly like Yoojin, lol.
