Chapter Text

Alya Cesaire, Nino Lahiffe and Lila Rossi were watching from their hiding spot as Ladybug and Chat Noir had defeated the latest Akuma. They had big grins after Ladybug made their Miraculous Ladybug (though if anyone had a look at Lila's, it looked to be more forced); Lila filmed it on her phone and her grin got bigger as Chat Noir once again asked Ladybug out for a date...

However the three teenagers witnessed as Ladybug uncharacteristically angry pushed him back and snapped at him saying "I am NOT in the mood to be dealing with your nonsense right now Chat... It seems that you have trouble comprehending that I will NEVER like you like that!" Ladybug with a glare to the shocked partner then used her yoyo to swing away with Chat giving chase up a building.

"Dude... What was that about? Is Ladybug having a bad day..." Nino asked as the three were stunned about Ladybug acting like that.

"Maybe we can catch her for a quick interview and ask..." Alya asked with a frown thinking that there had to be more to this than just Ladybug stubbornly not seeing the perfect guy for her (seriously her favourite superhero could be as annoyingly stubborn as her best friend Marinette sometimes). She then put away her phone and grabbed both of their wrists to start running to the direction.

"Come on Alya..." Nino complained to his girlfriend and Lila trying to think of an excuse not to go while trying to free her wrist; not wanting Ladybug to destroy Lila's illusion of them being close friends.

Alya had them chase around the area for minutes and Lila was about to give an excuse to leave when they came across Adrien quickly closing a trashcan lid onto it. "Hi Adrien; what are you doing here?" Alya asked with Lila giving flirty eyes as Adrien gave a cough and looked nervous.

"Just that... I was finishing a photoshoot and I saw Ladybug being harsh to Chat Noir." Adrien then said quickly as Alya and Nino seemed to accept it.

"Didn't know about any photoshoot Adrien; was this an emergency one?" Lila asked with a frown and Adrien looked to panic.

"...One that my dad had me do last minute... How about you?" Adrien asked as Lila made an act to look depressed with Alya comforting her and Nino sighed.

"...I knew it was never going to work..." Nino muttered with a sigh as Adrien looked confused and Alya sighed.

"I thought that it was what Marinette needed... I put together a special picnic with several of our friends and I asked Marinette to come over... I wanted to surprise her with Lila so they could work through their differences but..." Alya sighed as Adrien had a bad feelingabout this.

"I didn't mean for things to get this bad..." Lila cried as Nino looked to Adrien who just took this in.

"She was mad at getting tricked... Alya convinced Alix and Ivan to try and help her force her to stay so that she could give an 'intervention'... Never thought that thought that she could elbow someone as big as Ivan like that and Marinette snapped at all of us asking that even if they didn't want to believe her about Lila's stories being 'lies' that they shoudln't try and trick her like this... Alya and Marinette argued at this and most of them left... Rose and Mylene were in tears..." Nino explained using air quotes and Alya looked upset and Adrien was taking this in.

"Wow... Marinette should be making more of an effort..." Adrien forced himself to say as they nodded.

"I love my girl but seriously... Lila was in so much tears that we said that we would go get snacks together on our treat... Then the Akuma happened..." Alya continued with a sigh.

"...You know how Marinette can be but still... Can't she see how much she is bringing unncessary drama... That if she just got along with Lila... Is she trying to make me wish that she was never in the class?" Adrien asked shaking his head as Nino and Alya then sighed but Lila fought back a grin.

"The wish has been made." they heard a voice say to the confusion of all but Adrien looked in horror and panic.

"Gimmi no..." Adrien yelled as there was a flash and he opened up the trash can to find nothing there.

"Dude... Did you just remember that you put gummy bears in there or something?" Nino asked as they blinked with Nino mishearing what his best friend said; but Adrien gave a nervous cough.

"...Oh hey look... There's Ivan and Mylene..." Adrien said trying to think fast and the four then called out to them and waved.

The couple smiled and went to look but they looked oddly at Lila. "Adrien... It' s been a while... But while are you, Nino and Alya with... her?" Ivan asked as he and Mylene gave a look towards Lila making them stunned. Lila started crying causing the couple to shake their heads

"Did Marinette get to you? How could you upset Lila?" Alya asked furiously as the two just stared.

"Like we care about upsetting her considering everything that she pulled..." Mylene snorted and the couple then left leaving the four in a huff.

"Did she just..." Nino asked thinking it was a dream as she never imagined Mylene to act like that or say that. Adrien nervously looked to his fingers and noticed in a panic that a certain ring wasn't there and then checked his ears.

Adrien got an alert on his phone and then said "Nathalie is calling asking that I return home... See you at school tomorrow..."

"I should go as well... I got some calls to Prince Ali to prepare for." Lila then said as they then started to leave with Nino and Alya waving to them.

"Let's go to our homes ourselves and relax to get over what happened... Ladybug is probably long gone now and I should think about what to say to Marinette the next time we see eachother..." Alya then told Nino who then nodded.

"For the best; I don't think that she is in a mood to talk anyway..." Nino then said as they then leaned in to give eachother a goodbye kiss.

Nathaniel Kurtzberg was outside doing some sketching of the buildings outside with his notebook and ended up noticing Alya and Nino kissing at the other end of the street. "...Wow... Are they a couple now... Didn't think that they spent enough time for that to happen..." Nathaniel muttered before shrugging and getting back to work.

It was a simple get together and a cunning plan that fell apart rather quickly; the moment that Marinette saw that Lila was there to be exact and especially when she realised this was a scheme to force her to spend time together.

"...I have tried so hard to be patient with you about Lila and yet you overreact like this... You ruined this get together and you got Rose in tears..." Alya told Marinette trying to sound calm but Marinette was beyond the point of trying with Nino trying to keep the piece with everyone who was still there just watching. Ivan had to be taken away  by Mylene due to the pain in his stomach.

"I ruined this? You invited me over not to hang out as friends but to trick me into spending time with someone who I clearly do not like! Even if you don't want ot hear me out about Lila; I could accept that... I would still be hurt but it definitely hurts more when you pull something like this trying to force me to like her..." Marinette snapped back with her arms folded and Alya just gave a big exasperated sigh with Lila making a big show of looking upset.

"Why don't you get over this thing you have with Lila... You are taking your jealousy to new lows this time Marinette... If you could just spend time with her and get to know her..." Alya asked as Marinette raised her eyebrow.

"How about you spend time with Chloe and get to know her; maybe you both will have as much a chance to be friends?" Marinette snapped back with wide eyes from the class and Alya had her mouth wide open.

"How is it comparable?" Alya asked in disbelief shaking her head as Marinette just kept her arms folded.

"You both can't stand eachother and same with Lila and me." Marinette replied simply as Lila made herself look more hurt.

"Dudette... That's an exaggeration... We are doing this to help you and you keep disrupting the class with your dislike of Lila... We are all friends..." Nino asked as Marinette gave a big sigh.

"You know... Alya disappoints me as I expected her to have my back like she did with Chloe... I have come to expect everyone else to leave me be... I still remember that none of you all tried to help me when she targeted me because better me than any of you all? Worth it as long as she wasn't tormenting you... You said that we were friends and acted like it when she wasn't around but when she was being herself..." Marinette fired back and Alya looked around as Nino was silenced and the rest of the people there besides Lila looked stung and guilty seeped into their faces.

"I am gonna go..." Marinette then said leaving before Alya could recover enough to stop her; most of the others leaving awkwardly as well.

This was certainly a day; a big argument with her best friend after her little plan backfired, Ladybug being harsh with Chat Noir and now a weird conversation with Ivan and Mylene... She never saw Mylene like that...

She got home and to her room; her big sister was with the twins and their parents were still working. So the home to herself for now and she needed the time to relax. It was certainly a day and she needed to sort things out...

Maybe check the Ladyblog and see the comments on the latest video; see how people are reacting to Ladybug's uncalled for outburst against Chat Noir.

She checked it and saw the latest post; the comments were not what she expected... Praise for Ladybug and Cat Warrior... Who the hell is Cat Warrior?

She had a sneaking suspicion and checked the video she posted and... The Akuma was the same but Ladybug seemed to be in a much better mood and... Instead of Chat Noir there was a serious looking girl using the Cat and they looked to be in sync...

"What the hell is going on?" Alya asked thinking that she needed to call someone; Nino yes... She looked to her contacts and... Why isn't Nino there?

Why isn't Marinette there...

Plus no Lila either...

Alya was resisting the urge to throw her phone to the ground and just scream in frustration; "Did an Akuma send me to another world... That has to be it... Hawk Moth akumatized Chloe the same day that he did the same to her mother so he can do it... That has to be it..." Alya reasoned trying to relax; she will meet back up with Lila, Nino and Adrien at school the next day and they can work out what to do...

Adrien got home and went straight to his room; he checked his finger and no Miraculous ring. His fears continued on as he checked his phone and no Marinette... "Oh man... I thought that I could get Gimmi out of the trash can after I was done talking to the others and make my wish then... But I said the wrong thing and... Plagg would be telling me that he tried to warn me right about now..." Adrien muttered and gave a big sad sigh.

HIs room felt lonely again; before Plagg came into his life...

"So... Marinette was never in our class and somehow that resulted in the class knowing that she is a liar... And hostile to her as well... So they are not able to put it behind them yet..." Adrien said before giving another sigh; he always expected when Lila's lies did come out, the class would be able to forgive her and they they could put it behind them and welcome her as a friend... Once she saw that she didn't need to lie for attention...

She, Nino and Alya were clearly the only ones with him who still had their memories of how things were and they were bound to notice when Marinette wasn't in class the next day. He just had to think of how to explain and they could work from there...

"Adrien; is everything alright? You coming home in a state like that?" Nathalie asked opening the door making him jump.

Adrien realised that him running in and to his room like that was suspicious and he put on a smile; "Sorry... Just thinking of what to do for school tomorrow?" Adrien asked with a fake smile causing Nathalie to raise her eyebrow.

"You mean your lessons since you know that you don't go there anymore?" Nathalie asked as Adrien then nodded and she then closed the door behind him. Then it struck him...

"Wait WHAT? What does she mean... I don't go to school... How could that... I know that Father pulled me out once but I got in after..." Adrien thought in his head in a panic before a realisation hit him. "Marinette not being in my class meant that he didn't find his book and father never let me get back in..." Adrien thought with dread before groaning silently.

Lila got to her home in a bit of a panic; actually a complete panic to be exact, since it was clear that things had gotten bad very quickly. Things were just great with the picnic; she didn't' know what Alya was thinking with this scheme but she knew Marinette would react badly and would further alienate her from the class while she would put on the crocodile tears and say that it was her fault. What she said was a surprise but she had given her plenty fo material to further turn the class away from them.

Things did get annoying when she was dragged to watch Ladybug and Chat Noir fight the latest Akuma and not act like she was rooting for the Akuma. The goody two shoes heroine; the other person apart from Marinette that she hates the most and in her head she wishes that she was the Akuma that finally manages to beat her and take her Miraculous for... Whatever Hawk Moth wants with them...

But afterwards and how Ladybug acted towards Chat Noir... It was shocking and didn't even look like someone who was finally fed up with having to keep saying 'no' to a person; it looked like she was real angry beforehand and was just not in the mood.

Then Alya dragged her to try and find Ladybug which she was not keen for; trying in her head to think of a way to excuse the bad reception that Ladybug would have against her probably and be in a perfect position to debunk whatever Alya told her...

Luckily they found her future meal ticket in Adrien and the talk of what happened between them and then... Adrien said that sentence and the voice that appeared...

Then they were met with Ivan (who didn't look like he was still in pain from being elbowed in the gut by Marinette with more strength that she should have had considering her size) and Mylene and the reaction they had to her... Especially the uncharacteristically cold Mylene...

Clearly Hawk Moth had sent another Akuma who heard Adrien's comment and registered it as a wish; if only she was made aware and the wishes she could have made! Plus she didn't know what this new Akuma looked like and only knew that the Akuma had some sort of booming voice.

"It still doesn't make any sense... How does making it so that one of the few in the class who knows that my stories are lies was never in the class made it so that it got out... Clearly Those two knew and what is going to happen in school... I am going to have to make an excuse of this Akuma twisting things around with wishes to get them on my side... Adrien can easily be convinced to follow my lead... Only until the heroes finds the Akuma and undoes this... I can't believe that I want them to win this time..." Lila complained in her head looking at the Ladyblog on her phone as she walked home.

Searching her name in the results and... Only one result and it's a retraction... She would have to definitely make an excuse for when Alya finds out about this article...

She got through her door and was met with the unusually stern face of her mother; she gave a look at the panicked state at Lila as she practically dragged her in. "You haven't done anything else that would get you into trouble again... Have you Lila?" her mother asked sternly that caught Lila by surprise.

"What... No... HEY!" Lila replied only for her phone to snatched away as she tried to get it back with no success.

"You know the rule; no phone outside the house. Now to your homework and make up assignments." her mother ordered as Lila was met with shocked horror and confusion. Lila held her fury in as she reluctantly went up the stairs.

"Even my mother found out and... Clearly something big happened in how it happened... Make up assignments and I can't expect anyone to do them for me..." Lila said as she got to her room and had her mouth wide open as she saw the reminder on the planner on the wall about what she still had to do. "Suck it up until the heroes get to the Akuma... At least this isn't permanent..." Lila thought as she forced herself to start the work.

The next morning and Alya met with Lila and Nino as they discussed how clearly there was a wish making Akuma that took Adrien's comment as a wish and they were stuck until the heroes could stop the Akuma or until they find this Akuma themselves and use their powers against them to undo whatever wish they made.

"...These twisted events have gotten our class messed up about Lila, there's a new cat hero and we can expect Marinette not to be in the class or to even know us..." Alya whispered to them and they nodded in the courtyard of the school. "Plus we don't have eachother on our phones somehow... Can't call Adrien to ask how long is he going to be..." Alya muttered as Nino sighed.

"Dude is still on my phone and he called me... Saying that he won't be in our class... Here his old man never let him return to school..." Nino whispered with a sad sigh causing Alya and Lila to open their eyes wide. "Dude even explained that he relented after Marinette returned this book that he borrowed without asking... So without her in the class then she didn't do so..." Nino explained and Alya was shocked and Lila had a look of panic and was mentally kicking herself.

"Girl... You do all these things for him and yet you still can't go further..." Alya whispered to herself with a sigh. "I hate to imagine how much worse Marinette is without us to hold her up..." Alya asked and then they spotted a group of girls that they knew came from other classes including Aurore, Mireille...

And Marinette who was walking a lot more confidently than they expected. Plus with this group was Kagami and... Juleka?

"...I bet it kills you that Marinette trounces you in that fighting game; that you are not as good as that fencing character as you are with the sport in real life..." Juleka teased Kagami; Juleka looking more upbeat than Alya, Nino and Lila were used to. Kagami gave a huff.

"Just a silly game..." Kagami retorted pretending that she was not as affected as she was.

"Just a silly game for fun Kagami; I know you wouldn't mind me making your character's jacket for you in real life." Marinette told Kagami who gave her a look as if to say 'if you please'. Alya looked at her talking like best friends to the two with a hint of jealousy and watched them go forward. "Let's all go to class." Marinette said as they then went forward and the trio was met with Nathaniel who gave an eye to Lila.

The trio tensed but just kept going and started going to their class and watched in the hallways as Marinette's group walked into their class together... Which included Juleka...

"Hold on... How does Marinette not being in our class leads to Juleka not being in either?" Nino asked them in confusion as Alya and Lila both shrugged. The trio got to their class and found most of the classmates their and there were eyes to Lila. Alya and Nino held it in; trying not to make a scene as they knew that it was just because of whatever the wish changed.

Lila tried to smile but the glares continued on and Alix pointed to a desk that was set up in the front row in eye view of Ms Bustier and Lila reluctantly complied. Alya had to fight to keep in her frustration thinking this was unfair and clearly something happened here which led to Lila being ostracized. "Until things are back to normal... Still... Feels lonely without my girl here..." Alya thought in her head as she looked at the door as if to expect Marinette but knew that she wasn't coming. "I should lay off her for now once things are fixed... Let her calm down and let us be ourselves for now before I fix the thing with Lila..." Alya thought in her head as she took deep breaths as Ms Bustier came in.

Chapter Text

Ms Bustier had came into the class to start the lesson and Alya and Nino noticed that when Lila greeted Ms Bustier with a sweet smile; their usually kind teacher only gave a her a firm look of disappointment and a hint of sternness which was so unlike her. Alya and Nino fought back reacting and they went through the classes but it wasn't the same without their friends Marinette and Adrien there.

Things came to lunch and they watched as Lila got looks and stares and she looked to be close to tears as she went to a small table by herself. Alya was close to angrily confronting them but a look from Nino reminded them that they had to reluctantly play along for now. They both went to a table where there was Mylene and Alix with other classmates of there's.

They started their lunch and Alya noticed the table where Marinette was laughing with several of who was now her classmates; it made her feel jealous as Marinette was supposed to be her best friend. "When the Akuma is found and beaten; I will arrange for proper get togethers... Just the two of us honestly girl... Give you space on the Marinette issue..." Alya swore in her head.

"So Alya... Nino... Sorry what happened yesterday but what were you two doing with Lila and you were defending her?" Mylene spoke up to Alya which made her and Nino tense but the others looked to be in disbelief.

"Yeah.. Seemed that you three were friendly going into the class... What gives?" Alix decided to ask and the stares were on them and Alya was fighting back speaking her mind.

"Just that... Is she really all bad?" Nino asked and the looks he got was as if he had lost her mind.

"Are you kidding? Is this a joke... After all she had done and scammed... I am surprised that Alya isn't yelling at you for saying that..." Alix retorted and and Alya and Nino blinked; were they saying that in this weird new demented timeline Lila scammed them? "What gives Alya... Especially you as you hate her more than anyone else in this class?" Alix asked as Alya was just at a lost for words.

What possible reason could...

"Yeah... She conned us out of all that money for the bogus charities and the career opportunities but you kept yelling about the fake stories she gave that you put on your blog. Plus that your family were potentially facing charity fraud lawsuits because you promoted her scams there." Kim then said with nods and Alya stopped and blinked...

Scams... Fake charities... She knew that she promoted Lila's actual real charities that she all to ready to put on her Ladyblog to promote but Marinette asked her to hold off on it just to make sure it was legit and not 'something taking advantage of teens' hard work;. Alya could tell it was just an excuse because it was Lila but Alya decided to humour her by holding off on promoting them and be like 'don't say that I don't listen to you girl'. But if she did promote them and they turned out to be fake... They weren't fake though...

They couldn't be...

Alya just had an awkward look as she looked to Nino as if pleading for him to change the subject. "So... What do you think of Cat Warrior?" Nino decided to ask and Alya was grateful; seemed to be working as they were ready to direct the conversation away but get info about this new cat hero. Alya could barely look at the new Ladyblog in this timeline as the shock was too much.

"Oh... I was so sad when Ladybug revealed that Chat Noir was no more and I was scared of Cat Warrior at first because of how scary she looked... But Ladybug and her work so well..." Rose said excitedly as Alya took this in. Ladybug approved of her partner and future boyfriend being 'retired'...

"Yeah... As soon as she said that he wasn't taking the job seriously enough; I could kind of see it because they did used to fight a lot..." Alix said simply to nods with Alya fighting back a frown. It was just Chat Noir showing his love and Ladybug being stubborn...

"Alya... I am gonna call Adrien..." Nino said as he then gave Alya kiss on the cheek and then left with Alya waving to them and the rest looked at Alya surprised.

"Are you two dating? Since when?" Rose asked excitedly and Alya was now dumbfounded... She and Nino weren't together? How does Marinette not being in the class leads to this...

"Just now..." Alya replied and was beginning to panic; she and Nino should get their stories straight about how it happened. "Sorry but I am gonna go now since I am finished..." Alya then said as she then got up and put her tray and leftovers away.

Ladybug and this Cat Warrior couldn't find and beat this Akuma quick enough...

She ended up finding Nino outside on the phone; "...Keep an eye on Marinette? What for? Adrien dude; the best thing that we can do is wait for Ladybug and the cat hero warrior to find and beat this wish making Akuma... I don't see how Marinette could be the key to reversing this?" Nino said to the phone looking confused and Alya shook her head.

What kind of plan did Adrien had that involved her girl being needed to reverse what an Akuma had done?

Nino noticed Alya and put the phone on speaker; "Hey Adrien... Can you believe it... The class hates Lila and apparently I do as well because I got mixed up in charity fraud... Plus me and Nino aren't together..." Alya said and there was a suspicious gulp from the other end.

"So that means that you didn't say Alya's name accidentally to Marinette then Nino?" Adrien asked as Nino was close to panic but Alya looked confused.

"What do you mean Adrien?" Alya asked as Nino was ready to end the call but Alya suspiciously stopped him.

"I was helping Nino try to confess to Marinette but he accidentally said your name instead and she helped set you two up. Funny how things work out..." Adrien then said and sounded amused but no one else was laughing.

Alya blinked and saw her boyfriend look down; "Nino... Is this true?" Alya asked at once and Nino then gulped. She blinked thinking it over; "Wait... Do you actually like me? Was our relationship a lie?" Alya asked stunned and Nino shook his head.

"Off course I do and it's not..." Nino asked as Alya was feeling hurt.

"So if you didn't accidentally say her name then would you have ever thought of liking me like that or would you just continue crushing on her?" Alya asked as calm as she could and Nino was silent; unable to find words.

"Come on Alya; it's not that big a deal... It's just a happy accident..." Adrien said as Nino shook her head.

"I need some alone time..." Alya almost snapped as she then stormed off feeling hurt inside.

She found a lonely corner to sit down and almost kicked the wall; "Are you okay?" asked a familiar voice and Alya slowly turned and jumped as she saw Marinette there looking concerned.

There was Marinette in front of Alya; not angry with her because of an argument that never happened in this reality. "Alya right? The Ladyblogger?" Marinette asked looking like she was trying to remember and Alya nodded trying to hide how crushing it felt that her best friend didn't know her here. But here she was being friendly...

"Yeah... You are not trying to judge me because I didn't know those charities were fake..." Alya replied trying to play the part and hoped Lila would understand but off course she probably would.

"Don't worry... I didn't think it was fair when people tried to rope you into her in trying to scam people and those false stories she sprung... Your retraction and apology should have been enough." Marinette said with a sympathetic sigh and Alya fought back anything she was thinking because off course Lila's stories would be false as well here. Which they weren't because they couldn't...

"Thanks... I try my best and sorry... Came here as... I had a spat with my boyfriend..." Alya replied trying to think of the best excuse which was correct and not lying.

"Sorry to hear about that... Hope you sort things out; things are never serious with my one when we disagree and I hope that when we do end up argue; we can solve it. But if you asked Juleka; the idea of us having a serious fight is laughable..." Marinette said then and gave a sigh rolling her eyes.

Alya caught into the meaning; did this mean that she and Luka were still together? She suppose it would be more than possible for them to still end up meeting with Juleka being in Marinette's class somehow and being friends with her. Would the different class lead to the circumstances between their mysterious breaking up never happening?

"How are you friends in your class?" Alya blurted out and almost kicked herself mentally but she had to be curious...

"Great... They have really been helpful when I need help like with a busy schedule and encouraging me... They gave me good advice when dealing with an annoying co-worker in a side activity who wasn't taking it seriously and whenever I need help with my designs. If you want to hang out then you can join us but be warned if you want to go to sparring practice with Kagami... She could be fierce..." Marinette replied with a smile and looked to her as if a warning.

"Marinette still seems like Marinette only more confident... Without Chloe to bully her in the class and the class not standing by to be away from her wrath..." Alya thought in her head with her last conversation with Marinette the previous day on her mind causing her to frown.

"Don't worry Alya... They won't hold it against you being from 'the Akuma class'... I never liked that term..." Marinette said as if to reassure her and Alya was tense. That nickname around the school; so what if their class at school got more Akumas than others and it's not like no one else from the other classes got Akumatized...

"The people there aren't bad." said a new voice and Alya almost jumped as there was Juleka smiling at Alya. "You're Alya right? You know that I used to be in the class that you were in before I transferred out." Juleka asked and Alya had to admit that confident and smiling Juleka as if it was normal and default was weird to Alya.

"Oh really... Why did you transfer?" Alya asked wanting to get to the bottom of it as Juleka blinked with a sigh and Marinette gave her a comforting hug which made Alya gasp. "Sorry..." Alya said but Juleka waved it off.

"Don't worry... I am over it as the others made me feel welcome and helped me... My future sister in law especially..." Juleka said as Marinette smiled with a roll of her eyes and that definitely put to bed any doubts about who Marinette's boyfriend was here. "You know that Chloe girl... She really liked to pick on me until I couldn't take it anymore..." Juleka sighed sadly and Alya's eyes widened.

"So Juleka was her favourite target instead of Marinette... Sadly I can see that..." Alya thought in her head as Juleka got out of Marinette's embrace.

"Marinette helped me out and was leading the others to defending me when Chloe decided that she wanted to try and target me again... They all stood against her and Alan threatened that his dad worked for her dad and knew where all the skeletons were buried. Chloe laughed it off but first thing the next morning she had her head down and forced herself to apologise to me... It was unbelievable and she never targeted me again..." Juleka continued on and Alya was open mouthed.

"Where is that wish making Akuma because I so badly want to see what that looked like..." Alya thought in her head and did recall hearing that a kid from that class Alan did have a father who worked in the mayor's office.

"I heard rumours that her father had to put the foot down and seriously threaten to send her to an overseas reform school." Marinette said as Alya was now wondering what kind of dirt did Alan's father have on Chloe's pushover dad to put the foot down with a threat like that one?

"Just amazing... So you cool with us spending time together at some point?" Alya asked unable to stop any laughs from the mental images in her head from going out.

"Off course; more the merrier." Marinette said with Juleka nodding as they waved to Alya and she waved back with a smile. She watched them wave with a sigh.

"I didn't realise how much I missed just spending time with her..." Alya thought with a sigh but then thinking about Chloe from that conversation made her realise something. "I don't think that I saw Chloe in class today..." Alya thought as she decided to put that thought away for now.

She was feeling better now so she should rejoin Nino and Lila; they could work through her knowing that he didn't intend to pursue her... They had great times ever since they got together so it couldn't be nothing from his end.

"Another day; another Akuma stopped and Hawk Moth doesn't get our Miraculouses to..." Adrien sighed as he just finished an Akuma as Chat Noir; arriving home after de-transforming and Plagg helping himself to cheese in Adrien's room as soon as they were in there. Adrien stopped as he realised; he really didn't know why Hawk Moth was after his and Ladybug's Miraculous. Was it because being able to come up with whatever object was needed or to destroy anything in his path really that useful to him? Okay the Cat's power perhaps or maybe he would be better fitted for a staff or a yoyo...

Had to be more...

"Plagg..." Adrien asked as Plagg finished his bite to face up at Adrien from sitting on top of his drawers with his smelly cheese. "Why is Hawk Moth after mine and Ladybug's Miraculouses?" Adrien asked curiously and Plagg blinked before shrugging.

"Oh... You see if someone had both yours' and the Ladybug; with a special incantation they can summon Gummi the kwami of reality and you do that... You can make a wish." Plagg then said as Adrien blinked taking it in.

"What would a bad guy like Hawk Moth wish for... Probably bad guy stuff like taking over the world or something... But a wish... If me and Ladybug summoned Gimmi then we could wish for my Mum back or... For Hawk Moth to be stopped... If he wasn't around making Akumas then we could have a simpler time patrolling and helping with easier tasks... She would go easier on the secret identity thing and perhaps she would give me a chance..." Adrien pondered but then started muttering about the possibilities with his eyes widening at the possibilities.

Plagg then looked more alarmed and said "let me stop you right there kid... The wish comes with a price... Something great value must be sacrificed for something gained... You wish someone alive and someone else close to you or related to someone close to you dies instead..."

"Uh huh... So Mum coming back isn't an option..." Adrien replied absentmindedly thinking that this could be the answer to our problems.

Plagg looked frustrated with an uncharacteristically serious glare as he said "I am serious Adrien... The wish is dangerous and actually destroys the world and replaces it with a similar one for your wish... It almost never works out... Trust me as us Kwamis have memories of all worlds destroyed by this wish... You know that it was hawks who were extinct originally and not the dodo? Merlyn thought that he knew everything about magic when he came across the Miraculous and now Avalon and Camelot is no more..."

Adrien was barely paying attention; it was just Plagg being overdramatic as usual; he was always acting like it was a life or death situation when they were close to running out of his favourite cheese. He was blowing things out of proportion.

This wish... Something to think over...

Adrien forgot about how much it sucked with his schooling being done at home but it appeared that he was at least allowed to go out when he was free and be with his friends. Hearing from Nino what happened...

Somehow Marinette not being in the class led to Lila being known as a liar and everyone hated her. This was a bit much; he always thought that they would put it all as water under the bridge after Lila got caught out on her own and apologised to the class. Like it would be if Chloe did ease up on being her current self and be the good person that he knew that she was underneath who was only acting out because of abscence of her mother. He knew what it was like trying to face the standards sent by strict parents.

However; it didn't seem to be the case which seemed to be disappointing but hopefully this will be a learning experience for Lila to change quicker.

But was concerning was that she, Alya and Nino had come to the conclusion that his accidental wish was made by a wish making Akuma which was the best conclusion for them to come true on their own. However the trio believed that all they had to do was simply wait for Ladybug and the new cat to stop this imaginary Akuma.

He was trying his best to convince Nino to keep an eye on Marinette without explaining why; that the best way to start with was to see about getting her on their side. Marinette was still Marinette and she would help them once Adrien found out the best way to ask her to without revealing why. She was still Ladybug so she had the earrings and hopefully Tikki wouldn't hold it against him and discourage her from hearing him out. Tikki didn't know why he did this and perhaps she would trust that there was an explanation.

Alya befriended her easily and despite the rough start thanks to Chloe; he and Marinette became good friends easy enough.

Now the hard part would be this 'Cat Warrior' since he had no idea who she could be and she would have Plagg who knew exactly what Adrien was doing and was even shouting at him to stop as Gimmi was being summoned...

"Gimmi... Are they a separate mind that only exists when summoned or a combination of both Tikki and Plagg's mind... Did Plagg have a hand in how my 'wish' went out... I can see why Marinette not being in the class would lead to me not being in school anymore but did he have a part in to play how things worked out is this the price he was telling me about... Of all the times for him to be serious and to be right..." Adrien thought as he looked at his phone and Ladyblog posts about Cat Warrior and comments about how 'better' she was. This had to be some price by the wish because no way would Ladybug take his ring from him if the only divergence was Marinette not being in class.

Or maybe those in her new class were a bad influence on her...

"Hope Alya calms down... So what if Nino wanted to pursue Marinette; they were both happy with eachother and it's like a silly romantic comedy plot that they can laugh about... No need to take it seriously..." Adrien thought as he looked to the posts as trying to speculate was all he could do outside his lessons and schedule until he met up with the others again.

Chapter Text

This was no doubt the worst day of Lila's life; waking up to her scornful mother and having to go to school where not only was her class of sheep in the know but were actively hateful of her. The school as well and only Alya and Nino there on her side. Adrien there but not attending school anymore; unable to be there and unlike that goody two shoes brat Marinette, knew that confronting her was pointless even as he thought that she could change.

Her future meal ticket not being available to her at the school... All because of a stupid book... She should have just gave it back to him...

Now she was all alone because her two sheep left had to steer clear for appearances sake... Her making herself cry for any sympathy failed miserably... How did that brat not being in the class make it so that not only did her empire fall; but fall so much that the school and her mother pretty much hated her...

She checked and... She couldn't even count on spending time with Adrien on modelling because it appears that she never worked as one! Without Marinette getting herself expelled for crossing her in their class meant that Adrien couldn't use her as a bargaining chip to get her a lucrative job! Plus this meant that she would be wasting her time coming to Gabriel and her nobody assistant because they wouldn't know her.

Adrien not being in school meant that they had no use of her as someone to keep an eye on Adrien from inside his class.

Looking at her bank app and it was practically empty... Nothing of the money she got scamming from her class for 'charities' or chances for them to succeed in their hopeful careers. Nor any salaries for modelling...

Then a reminder on her phone telling her about an after school job...

At a lousy cheap fast food restaurant...

How long does it take for an Akuma to be found and fought by those heroes? Seriously?

However there was a screeching alarm alert from her phone saying 'Akuma sighting nearby'. It sounded like everyone's phones had the same alert and they were close to panicking. "About time..." Lila thought as she took a moment to be weirded out by the alert on the phone... Where did it come from? On the phone; it seemed to be a government mandated app on behalf of Mayor...

Mendeleiev?

She had no time to think about it as she practically pushed away as everyone started going to the doors. "Principal Scanlon speaking... his is not a drill. There is an Akuma on school ground. Single file please." said an unfamiliar voice on the intercom and Lila thought that at least things would be over soon...

Nino was freaked out by the Akuma alert on the phone as it seemed to be something introduced in this timeline. He was wondering if Alya was alright and hoped that she wasn't still mad at him for finding out how their relationship got started. It was true that he didn't intend to pursue her and her name was a spur of the moment thing when trying to confess to Marinette; but he really did end up liking her a lot as they spent time at the zoo and they were happy together.

Nino followed everyone outside and to the back fo the school and it didn't look like this was something new or at least they had time to get used to it. Everyone seemed to be joing with their classmates and she managed to find his one with Ms Bustier. "Alya..." Nino asked finding his girlfriend as Alya looked at the school annoyed as she had her phone out.

"Nino... Sorry; it's just that I was dragged out before I could try and find whatever the Akuma is for the Ladyblog..." Alya said as Nino looked at her with a gulp. Alya put her phone down with a sigh and said "Nino... I'm not mad... Not as before... I still like you so... Let's just focus on everything else..." Alya asked and they nodded.

"...Ryan from my art club... He was upset that everyone thought that his drawings were too scary and he got Akumatized..." Nathaniel told his freaked out classmates and Nino processed it.

Things didn't seem right...

"Hang on... This Akuma just happened... So what happened to the one that granted Adrien's wish yesterday..." Nino whispered after a realisation kicked in and Alya blinked taking this in.

However soon they saw the Miraculous Ladybug Wave being made so the Akuma was dealt with; Alya looked disappointed at not being able to film the battle and Nino noticed. He pulled her in and she smiled at it.

"I am just happy that everyone is alright and restored..." Lila sighed out loud dramatically and their other classmates gave her a look along with Ms Bustier. "Things are back to normal..." Lila said happily taking Mylene's hand only for it to be snatched out of her hand.

"Get away from me Lie-La! You know that thanks to listening to you that I have a hard time convincing charities to let me help out!" Mylene snapped at Lila causing her to blink and the students gave glares to Lila and Ms Bustier shook her head sadly.

"Huh... Hang on..." Alya muttered as she and Nino looked at this exchange; Alya showed Nino the Ladyblog on her phone which was as it was previously: all about Ladybug and her replacement partner Cat Warrior. Lila was still in stunned shock as Ms Buster told everyone to wait to be looked at before they were allowed back into school.

"So... It wasn't an Akuma that granted Adrien's wish... Then what happened..." Nino asked Alya finding her voice and Alya looked like she was at a lost...
