Squiddo's Super DUPER Silly Guide to Becoming God/President and NOT dying along the way!

Summary:

This is my first long story!! I've only ever written one shots so this took some planing lol

What if Squiddo and the rest of Lifesteal all were gods of different things(peace, war, fortune), and that means they all have special abilities that no one else has and a will to kill. No one can take their powers unless they get killed, but who will die first, and what chaos will ensue?

or

Squiddo and all the other Lifestealers are actually gods and all get cool powers???

Notes:

(See the end of the work for notes.)

Chapter Text

OKay so this is just the backstory because I hate reading fics where you're thrown into the story with no clue what's happening and the world explodes

This is a parallel universe of Lifesteal where everyone are gods and gets powers associated with their godhood.

also this takes place in season five and takes inspiration from the events in season five

another also, because I didn't know anything about people other than Squiddo, I did watch hours of content from everyone else so hopefully I can write everyone accurately and all the different powers make sense with their personality.

I actually had the motivation to write again thanks to the wonderful people that commented and gave me kudos on my last work so I wanted to thank you guys as well!!

Chapter 2: Step One: Don't Die

Summary:

Squiddo Is part of the Lifesteal SMP until one day they all wake up, inside of the game and now gods. They have no way out and must work together to figure out why they are in Minecraft, but knowing them, peace is easier said then done.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

You never know how quickly your life can change until it does.

You’ll never know that one day you can wake up and everything you’ve ever done is suddenly gone, and you have no clue how to get it back.

Squiddo sat on the cold, hard clay ground of spawn, biting at her legs. The colorful mesa and cherry blossoms towered around them, along with all the blocky spawn builds. Frustated screams rang out around them, but it wasn’t enough to let the realization of what was happening to them finally sink in.

“What the fuck do you mean you just woke up here?”

Ash started, yelling over the other people so they could hear him. He was always headstrong in these situations.

Chaos took over the whole server. Some people ran away as soon as they woke up, while others watched from a distance. However, some stayed at spawn and tried to talk it out. They tried to be diplomatic.

Key word: tried

It’s not that easy on a server filled with the deadliest players, esceapically with people like ClownPierce.

ClownPierce, Jumperwho, Ashswag, 4cvit, Squiddo, and Spoke were all at spawn. They were the group that tried to talk this out, that tried to figure out why they were all in Minecraft.

“I mean what I said, I woke up here and watched everyone spawn in,” ClownPierce replied calmly, but there was a hint of mockery in his tone. However, he was probably the calmest anyone was in this situation. Even Spoke, who was floating, looming over the group, seemed more panicked than him.

“Yeah, I heard you, but no one just wakes up in a fucking videogame.” Ash spat back, seemingly angry at Clown, like he had personally put them all there.

Squiddo shifted, moving to look at Ash as he argued with Clown. The mood was dire as everyone continued to fight each other. Jumper sat next to Squiddo, holding her hand as they both quietly watched the scene unfold. She hoped she didn’t have to intervene.

“Well, we all did.” Clown responded and stood his ground, not willing to let Ash win this argument.
The wind whipped softly, blowing against the nearby builds and people. They all wore diamond armor to protect themselves, and a few people(cough cough Mapicc and PrinceZam cough cough) flashed their swords before they left for the wilderness.

“Guys, guys, calm down, we’ll figure this out together.” 4cvit interrupted, stepping in between Ash and Clown in an attempt to de-escalate the situation. The tense air was almost suffocating.

Just then, a blue nametag appeared over his head, stopping everyone as they stared at him.

4cvit: God of Unity

“What the hell is that, 4c?” Ashswag muttered in pure disbelief, backing away from him and closer to where Squiddo and Kaboodle were sitting. ClownPierce did the same, stepping away from the group and pulling out his sword.

“I don’t know?” 4cvit replied, looking up at his own name tag as if it would explode. For all they know, it could. No one else had a name tag, so they had no clue what it meant.

“Well, it’s your name, 4c.” Ash continued cautiously, looking 4cvit up and down as he struggled to figure out why only he had a nametag over him. “And still, what the fuck did you do, ClownPierce?”

His focus shifted back to Clownpiece, still convinced that he did something to them. Then, quietly, 4cvit let out a sigh of relief when Ash stopped interrogating him.

“Why are you so convinced that Clown did something to us, Ash?” Jumper spoke up from behind him, standing up and taking Squiddo with her. They both inched away from the group that was growing more and more paranoid.

“Because he was the first one here!” He spat, frustration dripping from his voice as he continued to question Clown. “We all heard him talk about how he watched everyone spawned in. What else could that mean other than he had something to do with this shit?”

As Ash continued yelling at them, Clown stood there, just enjoying the show that he was putting on. He didn’t even have to do anything for a dispute to start; everyone just assumed it was him.

ClownPierce: God of War

Ashswag froze and turned to look at ClownPierce, staring at him in disbelief.

“What. The. Fuck.”

Squiddo grabbed Ash’s hand, turning him around to look at her and whispering something to him. They’d been awfully quiet since this whole ordeal started, unusually quiet.

“What, you need your girlfriend to calm you down?” ClownPierce mocked, as if looking for a fight from Ash.

And with that, Ash snapped, quickly turning around to face Clown who was staring into his soul, unwavering and ready to fight.

“What’d you say?”

Again, the silence was suffocating. Squiddo could feel the breath leave her body as she waited for either of them to speak, but no one did for one long, excuitrating moment.

“You heard me.”

Ash rushed towards Clown, pulling out his sword in preparation to fight. His hands gripping the sword like his life depending on it, his knuchles turning white.

“Guys, stop.” 4cvit repeated, tiredly stepping in between them again. “Fighting gets us nowhere, and we have no clue how dying works here.” He paused to collect his thoughts. “We’ve accomplished nothing in the past 30 minutes.”

By now, the shock of waking up in a literal video game had started to wear off, and people were starting to become more aware.

“Well, he fucking knows-” Squiddo cut Ash off, talking over him. ”We should leave for the night and meet up tomorrow when we’re all calmer and can actually contribute to this conversation.” This led to Ash side-eyeing Squiddo as he frowned slightly.

“We can’t just ignore that 4C and Clown are literal gods!”

Clown scoffed, rolling his eyes before he spoke.

“Oh, yes we can.”

Then, he abruptly turned around and left the group, disappearing into the inky black darkness of the night.

“Did he just leave?” Spoke finally spoke(get it? Haha i’m super funny kill me now) for the first time since they woke up.

No one replied for a long while and they just sat there in awkward silence.

“We should go now.”

No one replied, but still headed their separate ways, old teams forming again as people wanted to feel safe in this new environment.

Ash, Squiddo, Jumper, and 4cvit teamed, even though they all didn’t fully trust each other, they had teamed in the past.

The group walked in silence, footsteps crunching on coarse red sand as they descended into a nearby canyon. The sun dipped low over the mesa, casting long shadows and bathing the land in burnt orange.

Ash trudged ahead, still fuming. Jumper whispered something to Squiddo, who only shook her head. They were all thinking the same thing.

ClownPierce: God of War.
4cvit: God of Unity.

If that was the start, what came next?

“Do you think we’ll all get titles?” Jumper finally asked, nervously looking down at the sand underneath them as they traveled through the desert.

4cvit glanced over, his name still glowing blue overhead. “I don’t know. I didn’t even feel anything happen. It just… appeared.”

“It’s probably tied to who we were before,” Squiddo said. “War fits Clown. He was always that guy in fights. Reckless. Brutal.”

“And you?” 4cvit asked gently, turning his attention towards Squiddo. “What would your title be?”

Squiddo hesitated for a moment, quietly thinking about it. Then, without looking back: “I don’t… want one.”

After a bit longer of walking, they found themselves at a small cave.

They set up camp in the small cave, dim torches lighting the stone walls. Jumper built a quick barrier around the entrance—muscle memory kicking in from years of survival instincts—and 4cvit placed down a crafting table. The silence was heavy, awkward.

Ash sat apart from them, sharpening his sword on a stone. His jaw clenched. “I’m not just gonna sit around and wait for Clown to come back and kill us.”

“No one said you had to,” Squiddo said. “But if you charge at him again, we’ll all end up dead. Or worse.”

Ash said nothing, but his grip on the sword tightened.

The night grew colder. The Minecraft ambience played quietly through the night. 4cvit leaned against the stone wall, arms crossed. Jumper sat near the fire, knees drawn up to her chest, eyes staring into the pixelated flames.

“We need a plan,” she finally said, voice quiet but steady. “We need to understand what the hell is happening. This isn’t just a server anymore. This is something else.”

Ash scoffed. “You think?”

Jumper ignored him. “We’re not in Minecraft. We’re in some twisted version of it — where rules don’t apply like they should. We have god powers. I saw PrinceZam eat a chorus fruit and disappear across dimensions.”

4cvit nodded slowly. “And the titles. They’re not just labels. I feel... different. Stronger, but not in a way I can explain. Like I can see people’s connections. Who trusts who. Who wants to betray who. I can see how to make the server better”

Ash looked up at him. “Seriously?”

4cvit gave a solemn nod. “Seriously.”

“Then who here’s gonna stab me in the back first?” he challenged.

There was a pause.

“Probably yourself,” Jumper said, not unkindly.

A small smile tugged at 4cvit’s lips. Even Ash let out a humorless chuckle. It didn’t last long, though.

The fire crackled. For a moment, the only sounds were the occasional cave drip and the rustle of armor.

Then Jumper winced.

Her head snapped up as a sharp pain sliced behind her eyes, a searing heat that made her stumble to her feet. She clutched her temples, the world spinning.

“Jumper?” Squiddo moved to her side immediately.

“I’m fine,” Jumper said, but her voice shook. “Just, fuck, my head-”

Then it happened.

Jumper’s name tag slowly appeared, glowling pink and illunmating the cave. Ash scrambled to his feet.

And above Jumper’s head, the words formed.

Jumperwho: God of Intelligence

The title shimmered, gently pulsing like a heartbeat.

Jumper staggered back, breath shallow. Her eyes had changed, a glow behind them now, like stars barely restrained.

“I didn’t do anything,” she whispered, voice barely audible. “I didn’t… I don't want this.”

Ash stepped back, wide eyed. “Shit.”

“You okay?” Squiddo whispered, steadying her and handing her a golden carrot.

“I think so,” Jumper breathed. Then she turned to the others, slowly regaining her composure. “Something happened to me. It’s not just a name. I see things now.”

“See what?” 4cvit asked cautiously.

Jumper’s eyes narrowed. “Connections. Logic threads. Probabilities. I know Clown’s planning something, but I don’t know what exactly. Soon. I think... I think he wants to provoke more gods.”

Ash shook his head. “This is messed up. We’re not gods. We’re just players.”

“No,” Jumper said. “We were. Not anymore. The rules are changing. This world... it’s alive.”

A long silence.

Then Ash said, “So what now, genius?”

Jumper met his gaze, calm now, centered.

“Now? We stop playing like it’s just a game. We learn the rules of whatever this new system is. We find the others. We track down Clown before he forces another ‘awakening’ the wrong way.”

4cvit glanced at her name, still glowing, then nodded. “We’ve got three gods. Unity. War. Intelligence.”

“War has already moved,” Squiddo murmured. “Unity wants to hold things together.”

“And Intelligence…” Ash muttered. “What’s your move?”

Jumper turned toward the cave mouth. Her eyes gleamed with purpose.

“I build the board. Then I move the pieces.”

4Cvit moved next her her, staring in the same direction she was and put his hand on her shoulder.

“Then, you won’t be alone.”

As the first light of dawn stretched across the red desert, painting the mesa in soft pinks and golds, the group packed up in silence. The weight of the previous night’s revelations hung over them like a storm cloud, but Jumper's clarity seemed to lift the burden, if only just.

At least they had information from their favorite source.

The world felt different today. It wasn’t just the sky or the landscape. The air felt thicker, charged with something unknown. The soft crunch of sand beneath their diamond boots sounded louder than usual, and even the blocks around them seemed more… real. There was no mistaking it now. This wasn’t just a game.

Squiddo, still a little uneasy, glanced over at Jumper as she tightened her gear, making sure her enchanted bow was in place. "You really think Clown’s going to go after more of us?"

Jumper’s face was impassive, but her eyes held a flicker of concern. "I don't think he cares who he provokes at this point.”

"Could he be trying to control the gods?" 4cvit asked from the rear of the group, his voice steady despite the gravity of the situation. "If he’s the God of War, maybe he’s looking for total dominance."

Ash snorted from ahead, still walking with his sword loosely in hand. "That’s great and all, but what if he’s just trying to get stronger by triggering everyone else’s powers? Not every god has a god complex. Not yet, anyway."

"Then we stop him before it gets worse," Jumper said, her voice firm. "That’s our goal."

The group moved forward, staying on high alert as they crossed the dry, cracked earth. In the distance, the spires of a tall structure loomed—a castle or fortress of some kind. They'd seen it from afar the day before, but now it was more than just a landmark. It felt... significant.

"That’s new," Squiddo murmured, pointing toward the structure. "I don’t remember seeing that before."

4cvit’s blue glow flickered for a second. "I saw it last nigh, but it’s not something we made on our server. It’s... almost like it manifested when we got here.

"Manifested?" Ash scoffed. "You sound like a chronically online teenage girl.”

"We need to check it out," Jumper said, ignoring Ash’s sarcasm. "If Clown’s doing anything, it could be there. We might find other people, too."

Without another word, they began making their way toward the structure. The closer they got, the more they could sense the intensity in the air. The stone walls of the fortress seemed to hum, almost like they were alive. A dim glow emanated from cracks in the stone, casting eerie patterns on the sand below.

The group moved cautiously, their footsteps muffled by the quiet tension. As they reached the base of the structure, they saw a single door, large and imposing, like the entrance to an ancient temple. It was ajar, as if someone had left it intentionally open.

Jumper exchanged a glance with 4cvit. "We should go in. But keep your weapons ready."

Ash cracked his knuckles, his sword still loosely held in his hand. "After you, babe." He whispered without thinking; he was just trying to hold the door for her.

"Not now," Squiddo muttered and shot him a look, clearly not in the mood in light of recent events.

No one knew about them yet, at least they tried to convince themselves that no one knew they were dating, but that was too much to handle. First, they’ve got to get out of this messed up place.

The door creaked open, revealing a grand hall beyond. The stone walls were lined with towering columns, and the floor was covered with intricate carvings, glowing faintly with some kind of strange energy. A chill ran down Squiddo’s spine as they stepped inside. There was no sign of anyone, no players, no mobs, no animals. Just an eerie, almost unnatural stillness.

"Does anyone else think this is a trap?" Squiddo whispered, her voice carrying just enough to break the silence.

"It’s not a trap," Jumper replied, her eyes scanning the room, tracking the flow of energy. "This place is connected to something bigger. It’s like a central hub."

4cvit raised an eyebrow. "Connected? How can you tell?"

Jumper was quiet for a moment, then spoke slowly. "The connections. I can feel the energy. There’s a pattern to it. It's... pulling at something, like it wants us to be here." Her pink nametag was lighting up the dark hallway, mixing with the blue from 4cvit’s.

As if on cue, a rumble shook the floor, and the light from the carvings flickered. Squiddo tensed, but Jumper held up a hand to steady her.

"Stay calm," she said, her voice low and steady. "Something’s coming."

Just then, a giant door at the end of the hallway opened.

ClownPierce stepped forward, his grin wide and maddening, glowing faintly in the dim light. His dark red name tag flickered in the distance: God of War.

"Did you miss me?" Clown's voice echoed through the hall, smooth and taunting.

Ash’s hand immediately went to his sword, but Jumper held up a hand, stopping him. "Clown."

He didn’t react to the calm way she said his name. His eyes locked onto her, then shifted to 4cvit, his smirk widening. "So, we have Unity and Intelligence playing Gods, huh? That’s adorable."

"Cut the shit, Clown," Ash snapped, taking a step forward. "What are you trying to do?"

Clown’s eyes gleamed. "Oh, just looking around, exploring the place, y’know?"

“So, you’re not trying to take over the world?” Squiddo asked, tilting their head in slight confusion.

He glanced at Jumper, not answering Squiddo’s question, his gaze sharpening. "And what did you see? The threads? The connections, like the New York Times?"

Jumper didn’t flinch. "I see you, Clown. We’re here to team with you."

Clown’s grin turned into a full-on laugh. "Team? Teaming in a time like this? I’m good on my own, thanks."

Squiddo spoke quietly, looking around, her heart racing. "We’d be much safer in bigger groups."

Jumper’s expression hardened. "I don’t trust him anyway," She stepped forward, eyes narrowing. "He’s the God of War. Why did you guys think this was a good idea?"

Ash raised his sword, slightly frustrated. "That’s what I’ve been saying since we got here!"

4cvit stood in front of them, putting his hands out to silence them.

“I think we’d be fine with him on our team, we’ve got bigger problems than ClownPierce now.”

The words hung in the air, each one carrying the weight of a hundred possible outcomes. Ash’s grip on his sword tightened, but he didn’t swing. Not yet. Jumper and Squiddo exchanged a look, both knowing that whatever came next was going to be more dangerous than they had ever imagined.

ClownPierce’s laugh subsided, but his smirk didn’t fade. "Bigger problems, huh?" His voice was dripping with amusement, but there was something else behind it, something darker, like he was toying with them. "Like what, exactly? You all think you’ve got this figured out?"

“I don’t think we have it figured out,” Jumper said evenly, stepping forward, her eyes locking onto him. "But we do know that this world is changing, Clown, and we need to figure out why before the rules start bending in ways we can’t control."

ClownPierce raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued, but his posture was still casual, like he wasn’t entirely convinced. "And you think you can stop me? You and your little team?" His gaze flickered over to 4cvit, who was still standing between them, arms crossed. "What’s your plan, 4c? You think the server’s going to come together with all these egos flaring up?"

4cvit stood tall, his name glowing blue and unwavering above his head. His voice was calm, but there was a quiet power behind it now. "The server doesn’t have to come together. We do. You and me. We have our roles to play. But right now, your role isn’t making things worse."

Clown’s smile turned colder. "Making things worse? I’m just here to see how things play out. I’m not the problem. You are."

Squiddo spoke up, her voice sharp but cautious. "We all saw it. The way the world shifted when we woke up. It’s not just us. Something bigger’s at play here. And if we don’t figure it out, it’ll swallow us all up, god or not."

"Swallowed whole, huh?" ClownPierce mused, his tone taking on a mocking edge. "And here I thought you were the smart one, Jumper. What, you think you can out think the game?"

"I think we need more than just brute force to get through this." Jumper’s voice was steady, no hint of uncertainty in it. "We need allies, not enemies."

There was a long silence. Clown’s eyes darted between the group, as if weighing his options. The silence was thick, the weight of their words pressing down on him. He wasn’t used to having his authority questioned.

"You know," he said, his grin returning, "you’re all just too soft. Too willing to play nice." He looked directly at Jumper now. "You, of all people, should know, this world isn’t here for alliances. It’s here for power. And I’m the one holding the sword."

"We’re all holding swords now, Clown," Ash snapped, his voice laced with frustration. "You think you’re the only one who can handle power?"
ClownPierce’s smirk faltered for a moment, but he quickly recovered. "No. But I sure as hell intend to use mine."

Jumper stepped forward, her gaze hardening. "You don’t need to fight this alone, Clown. We can’t keep pretending we’re just players anymore. The stakes are higher. You want to fight, fine. But you can’t be blind to the bigger picture. You can’t ignore what’s coming."

Clown’s eyes flickered with something, regret, maybe? It was hard to tell behind the layers of his arrogance. His stance relaxed slightly, and for a split second, he almost looked like he was considering her words.

But then, the door behind him slammed shut with a deafening noise.

The air shifted. A deep, unsettling energy seemed to saturate the stone walls. It was like a dark cloud descending upon them.

Spoke.

The shadowy figure materialized from the darkness, his form towering and somehow more solid than the air around him. His eyes glowed a faint white, like embers in a dying fire. His name tag appeared, a rainbow glow beneath it: Spoke: Overseer

Squiddo’s breath caught in her throat. "Spoke?!" She stepped back, a mix of shock and disbelief running through her veins. "How are you-"

Spoke raised a hand, a slow, deliberate motion that made everyone pause. "No need for introductions, Squiddo. I’ve been… watching. Waiting." His voice was smooth, almost hypnotic, but there was a hint of something unsettling in it. Spoke spoke(haha get it ?)

Ash took a step back, wary of the sudden shift in the room. "Overseer?" he muttered, disbelief heavy in his voice. "What the hell does that even mean?"

Spoke’s lips curved into a faint, almost amused smile. "It means, my dear Ashswag, that I see all, I know all, I know more than you ever will, and I have the power to destroy everything."

Jumper narrowed her eyes. "Are you here to fight, too? Or are you just going to sit back and watch everything burn?"

Spoke’s gaze flickered over to her, and for a moment, there was a flicker of recognition. "I’m not here to fight, Jumper. I’m here to tip the scales. The question is… are you all ready to accept what’s coming?"

Clown stepped forward, his sword gleaming in the dim light, his grin widening once again. "Spoke, huh? This makes things interesting."

Spoke tilted his head, studying Clown with a casual but intense gaze. "Interesting? Hardly. You’ve been playing the game of war, but this is something else entirely. You can’t win a battle against gods with only strength."

Ash took a step forward, eyeing Spoke with suspicion. "And what makes you think you’re so special? You just showed up out of nowhere."

"Fate’s a funny thing," Spoke replied softly, his voice almost a whisper. "It’s not about what you want. It’s about what you’re destined to have."

The air around them seemed to hum, vibrating with the energy of his words. The room felt colder, darker.

Jumper’s eyes flicked between Clown and Spoke, trying to piece together what they were up to. "What the hell does that mean? What are you trying to tell us?"

Spoke’s eyes gleamed. "That everything in this world is a gamble. And the odds are stacked against you."

He raised his hand, a small, golden coin materializing in the air, draping into his hand, spinning slowly, glowing with an eerie light.

"For you, the question isn’t whether you’ll win," Spoke continued, his voice low, dangerous. "The question is: What will you lose to get there?"

Ash gritted his teeth. "Great. Another god spouting cryptic bullshit."

Spoke’s gaze shifted to 4cvit. "Unity, huh? You still think you can hold everything together? The power of friendship or some other MLP shit?" He gave a small, almost imperceptible laugh. "I’ve seen the future. And it’s not what you think."

A sudden wind swirled around the room, and Spoke disappeared into thin air, leaving only the faint glow of the coin behind.

The group stood in stunned silence, the air still heavy with his presence.

Jumper exhaled slowly, her voice cutting through the tension. "So, we’ve got a God of War, a God of Unity, a God of Intelligence… and now an Overseer. How can this get worse?"

Ash scowled. "I don’t like this. We don’t know what the hell’s going on."

4cvit placed a hand on his shoulder. "I don’t think any of us do. But we’ve got each other, and we’ve got our roles. That’s the only thing that matters now."

Jumper nodded. "We find out what the hell Spoke meant. And then, we stop whatever’s coming."

The doors behind them creaked open once more, and they stepped out of the eerie fortress into the sunlight, the weight of their newfound powers, god-like abilities, settling on their shoulders like an invisible burden.

The game had changed.

Now, they needed to figure how to play.
