[Podfic] Reborn In Blood by Fereael

Summary:

The two shadow men dragging Jin Rulan toss him to the floor of the cell and he immediately sits up, spitting and furious and drags the gag from his mouth with his own bound hands.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing!? Do you know who I am!? Just you wait till my uncles hear about this!!”

“Oh I’m sure they’ll be just heart broken.” The man in black steps forward into the doorway of the cell and one of the shadow men steps forward to place a stool behind him so that he can settle, grinning, onto it. “Unfortunately if you want them to find out anything you’re going to need a tongue for talking or fingers for writing, and well…” The man flips his knife casually from one hand to the other, “You won’t be leaving here with either one.”

 

OR the Mo manor arc gets fucked up when Mo Xuanyu and the Lan juniors get abducted and it causes Wei Wuxian's return to go VERY differently.

This is my very first contribution ever to any fandom. Wish me luck <3

I discovered MXTX, and subsequently the danmei genre in general, early in 2025. I quickly fell down a hyperfixation spiral that eventually lead me to discover AO3 and fandom (which I vaguely knew existed before) . Then I discovered podfics and my life was changed forever. I've listened to well over 500 hours of podfics in the past 6 months and I never stop being awed at how many talented writers there are in the world, just putting out content for the pure joy of it, and of course the people who take the time to record themselves reading so others can consume these works in the format that works best for them.

Anyway, I've been reading nightly to my kid for 10 years now and I feel like I've gotten pretty well practiced at bringing a story to life. At least my kid enjoys my reading. So I thought I would try my hand at recording some Podfics. And I decided to start with Fereael's Reborn in Blood, because I've really enjoyed it, but also because their regular recommendations on Bluesky have lead me to listen to a lot of really great Podfics that I may have overlooked (or never found) just by searching AO3 on my own.
