Chapter 1: Death and Respawn..I think??

Chapter Text

Pain…

..Pain has gotten used to, despite their body screams in agony. The mind has become too numb to care.

They keep going. Despite how much their body protest.

..slash..

..throw..

…Use the swords…

..heal..

..slash…

..heal..

It has become a routine, a routine of a battle.

The Mystery Figure..

The reason why they got here in the first place. Yet they still feel like any other opponents they faced, they feel no fear, they feel no ambition..just an opponent to defeat..just an obstacle in their way.

The longing to go home has become a distant dream, a voice that has become faint over time until they no longer crave for it. The homesickness has faded, all their minds are set on one thing.

Defeat anything that comes in their way.

What would they do once this adventure is over? Who knows..that's their future self’s problem..

Right now, they're dealing with this battle.

“Player, Run and rest. I'll handle things here!” Shedletsky said with the stern of his voice..well..is he even Shedletsky?

He wears a black and gold robe, brown wings with golden patterns like a beautiful art piece, showered with the sun’s light. A hood over his head hidden his face with a shadow and yet his eyes are still visible. A look of determination and motivation..

…Hah…

That look reminds them of the old days..

Player shook their head firmly, standing up despite their body protesting. The Mysterious Figure narrowed their eyes with disgust and hate. Looking at Player as a parasite that is harder to kill than a cockroach.

“You are pushing yourself to destruction.” They turned towards Shedletsky with a grin on their face and head tilt in mockery. “Is this how you truly treat your people Telamon? Leading them to their own self-destruction?”

Shedletsky..or Telamon, whatever name he prefers or what glares at the Mysterious Figure. Clearly not liking what they said, Well Player knows he has to keep his image. They don't really care about it..all they live for is to battle anyway..that's what they are good for right?

They no longer remember what they used to do before the time travel.. Digital Graphic Designer…they don't even know how to hold a stylus pen properly…since when was the last time they drew..?

Player can see the Mysterious Figure has their attention on Shedlet-Telamon. Fuck it, just call him Telatsky or whatever.

The Mysterious Figure has their attention on Telatsky which Player took this chance, pulling out the device that is the key to end the Mysterious Figure.

The Mysterious Figure has just noticed the Player and was about to send an attack until Telatsky took this opening and slash them with his Illumina. Earning a hiss of pain from the Figure, glaring at Telatsky as they fought with the Daemonshank against Telatsky’s Illumina.

As the two are busy with sword fighting, Player keep themself hidden with the use of Ghost Potion, once the potion's effect wore off, Player gripped the device and slam it on the Figure's back. That caused them to freeze and quickly turn and hit Player with a slash from the Daemonshank.

It was fast before Player could dodge or block as they were sent back, stumbling from their feet as they could feel the effects of the Daemonshank in their body. They struggled and fell on their knees….poison and.. something else..they couldn't pinpoint what but they could feel it destroying their inside. They arch down and a gurgle escapes their throat, they slap their hands on their mouth.

They couldn't focus much on the battle but Player knows they need to heal, Telatsky can handle this by the sounds of clashing blades, they were only at 10 HP earlier and they are now at 2 HP, the only reason why they're even alive is because of the onion ring’s effect. With trembling hands they opened their inventory and tries to find something that could heal them.

…Dang it, They used up their items already..they also can't use the Ice Dagger since Shedletsky has it.

Player groaned as they felt the poison ruining their insides, they felt nausea. This feels different from Venomshank’s poison. Player shook their head. It's fine, it's fine. They can endure this and deal with it just like always, they'll respawn anyway..they'll be fine..

Player stand, struggling on their feet as they pull out their dynamite from their inventory. They raise it in the air and tried to…to…to….

Player's vision blurred as glitches and darkness invaded their vision, they stumbled forward, struggling to breath and the world felt like it's spinning. Player slowly felt their senses fading as they didn't even notice they lessen their grip on the dynamite making it slip out of their hand.

Green veins could be shown from their body spreading all over their limbs, faster than the Venomshank’s and because they still have the effects of the seven swords and now with the Daemonshank’s effect it's like a battlefield inside of Player's immune system.

Their body cannot handle it, even with the help of Illumina's effect their body has already been falling apart and this is the final straw. Player's vision is darkening as their mind becomes more numb.

They stumble forward and finally, they fall to the ground with a huge thud as their vision finally succumbs to darkness..

…..

….

“Are you well my child?” The king asked once the battle was over, Player gave a nod and smile at him for providing reassurance. The king is never believing that facade smile, he sighs and sits down next to Player. Stroking their head gently, combing his icy fingers through their short hair.

Player blink in puzzlement at what the King is doing, they give him a questioning look and the king just smiles at them in return. “Rest..you need it.”

Player furrowed their eyebrows and open their mout—

“No. Rest, that's finally.” The Cruel King demands with finality on his tone, not letting more protest. Player blink and close their mouth and roll their eyes in annoyance.

It's the reason why they haven't succumbed to exhaustion, every time they called him through the card. He would always check on them after a fight, he seem to remember the past battles every time Player had lost unlike the others..maybe it's because he's dead.

Player always tried to visit Cruel King whenever they stopped by at the Bizville. Listen to them or perhaps stay a bit longer, they like his company..he made them feel safe..

Cruel King in return..has no more purpose after his death, What's the point if he's dead? He will be nothing but a memory and part of history. Nothing and no one knew who he truly was other than “Cruel King”. Perhaps as “Blackrock's King” but never who he is born as.

The only thing that keeps him going is a young adult that also has the mind of a teen. It is odd but the sheer determination they had was what the Cruel King admired. Every losing battle, every challenge. They keep coming back more persistent and stronger.

But the sword is weakening them, The king can see it. Every time they visit, they leak negativity that it's almost toxic and that's what worries Cruel King. Even with every facade reassurance or excuses. Cruel King is never convinced they are fine..he keeps insisting them to sleep..it's working but how long does that last?

The swords are destroying them, it hurts Cruel King to see them getting closer and closer to death's door. Their body, their average robloxian body is not made to handle such curses. Especially seven, for the love of Builderman. Seven curses..

Does Shedletsky even know? Or does he not care and let someone do his work for him?

Cruel King wants to stop this quest, he really does. But what can he do?

He's dead..

…As much as he likes Player's company, he doesn't want them to join him. They still have a lot of things to see, to explore and live their life to the fullest..

…If only….if only..he had met them sooner..or perhaps earlier…would there be a different ending for the both of them….?

“Your highness, Do you want us to put them to Roadtown’s adoption center?” Said a knight as he stares at the King by his side.

The king says nothing as he continues to stare at the basket in front of the castle gates, a brown basket with a red soft cushion with a blanket that's used to wrap around a sleeping infant, a shield to protect them from cold and provide comfort.

The king stares and lost in thought, the knight lifts an eyebrow behind his metallic visor. “..sir?” He questioned, thinking the king may not have heard him.

The king haven't answered yet which starts a concern from the knight. But then the king gently pushes his scepter at the Knight's grip, startling the loyal guard and holding the scepter with uncertainty as if he's holding a sacred artifact and unsure how to hold it right and afraid he might get sent to execution if he holds it wrong.

The king bends over and gently tries to carry the infant, the king blinks in uncertainty. Trying to carry the infant like it's a fragile glass, the king lays the infant's head on his arm and carries the tiny body with both arms. Blinking, he look over at his knight.

“...this is how infants are carried right?" Ask the king, uncertainty yet calm. The knight stare in silence at his king, gears turning inside his head and then it felt like a lever had been flipped.

“..you..you don't mean you'll care for the infant Sire?” The knight asks, hoping the king won't say yes. The king just stares in silence and tilts his head.

“..why not?”

The knight felt himself limp..

Oh dear..

“Sire, are you sure about this?” the knight said sternly. “Taking care of an infant is not an easy task, especially with your duties.”

The king sighs. “I know..but I can't find myself with any partner and..I just don't feel myself wanting to have one..” the King's gaze turns over to the child, he raises his other hand and lightly brushes his finger on the infant's cheek. They stirred in response, it brought a smile on the King's face.

“Plus..who would take over once I'm gone?” Ask the king, the knight slumps forward in defeat.

“...you have no clue how to even raise a child..” said the knight, the King just smiled in return.

“I can learn.”

The knight shook his head in defeat. “Whatever you may say Sire, let's—”

“Hold on.” The knight paused as he looked at his King, the knight lifted an eyebrow with a head tilt. “...Don't make this to the public please…keep this within the Blackrock castle..” said the king as he kept the sleeping infant close to his chest.

The knight is silent before nodding. “As you wish, your highness.” The king smiled in return and nodded. The king walks ahead, keeping the infant closer to his heartbeat as the knight follows behind after taking the basket with him and the castle gates close behind them.

The King's gaze turns over to the infant. Their yellow skin and chubby baby cheeks, it's enough for the king to melt. Why does he have a weakness for children?

Chapter 2: Who's your Father?

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

The infant is still in slumber as the king searches through the basket for anything that has something for the child. A letter or even a toy, but all he ever found is a small note. The king narrowed his eyes and opened the note and took a look at what it said.

Their name is Player, a few months old. We're so sorry but we can't handle a child. Please take care of them.

The king tilts his head and his eyebrows furrow, not only do they leave an infant but they also didn't bother to write more information for the child? Do they truly care for them? The king let out a sigh and rubbed his forehead. He doesn't know why he took in the infant, he could have just agreed and let his knight take the infant to the Roadtown's adoption center. He is not capable of handling a child, especially an infant.

But the more he looked at them, he could feel a whisper on the back of his head that he should take them in..protect them..care for them.

The king sighs, he turns to look back at the infant, still asleep. The king nodded and stares back at the note again.

…So Player huh? It's a fine name..

The King perked up when he heard a knocking door, he stood up from his seat and approach the door. Grabbing the doorknob and twist it open, letting the person from the other side walk in.

Though they didn't walk in, they rushed in.

“Sire! What do you mean you adopted a child?!” A robloxian dressed in a court mage attire said to the king with a panic and confusion in his tone.

The king let out a sigh as he shut the door behind the court mage. “Yes I indeed took in an infant.”

“..an infant?!” The court mage screeches which earn a stern glance from the king. “Be quiet, they are asleep.” He said, which caused the court mage to pause. They look at the bed and they see the infant still wrapped in a soft blanket asleep. The court mage then looks back at the king.

“Okay, my king. I know how you are towards children, but an infant no less? Are you so sure you can handle them?” The court mage asks, The king looks at them with an eyebrow raised. He knows he has no idea how to take care of a young infant but this is the second time he's been asked this. The king sighs again. “I can assure you..and I do not do this alone..” the king said as he looked at the court mage and smiled. “I have you and the other servants after all, right?”

The court mage just sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. “alright..I guess you are right but…why now?” The court mage asks, he knew the king never had any intentions to marry, so that also includes the thought of raising a child.

The king pauses and drifts his gaze over to the sleeping infant, he's silent as he stares. In all truth, he never wants to raise a child, he loves children as much as he loves his people and their joy but he never sees himself to raise one. This one though? Felt different..

The king shook his head and looked over at his friend. “...I guess..I do now..” The court mage stares at the king in silence before sighing once again. “Very well, this is a huge step to take..but I know you'll do well.” The court mage said as the King looked at him, blinking a little surprise but nodded.

“Thank you my friend.”

-

Why haven't they respawn?

It's still all black…and they can't move properly…what's going on?

Are they truly dead?

…Wait…are they really dead?

Player couldn't see anything and they couldn't move their body. It feels like something is keeping them in place.

No, they can't be dead..if they are dead they wouldn't even feel anything. Maybe something has them or perhaps the Mysterious Figure keeps them locked up or something.

They tried to struggle, they could hear but it's all muffled. They tried to force their eyes open. But the light shines in their eyes making them shut it close again.

They groan and keep struggling to escape the restraints. But their limbs get tired easily. It's weird, they haven't even done anything and they're already tired.

It was then they suddenly felt something lifted them off whatever they were laying on. They yelp and struggle more this time, they have to know what's going on, get out of here or something. Is Shedletsky here? They need to get their bag, they have to—

They pause when they feel something pat their back…it's too big for a hand..what the fuck is happening??

They could hear noises but it's difficult to hear properly, was that shushing? Are they threatening them? Why couldn't they open their eyes?

They grunt and keep trying to struggle and open their mouth to yell.

“Waaah!”

…..

..What. The. Fuck..?

“Oh dear, um, Don't cry.”

Who the fuck was that??

The voice is familiar, but it sounds too young, like a young adult.

Also one of the strange things is that they cannot stop their cries which is absolutely confusing for Player, they try to shut themselves up. Trying to keep themselves quiet but they only got louder.

Why do they sound like a crying infant anyway? What's going on?

“Orion- please assist me here, they won't calm down!”

“Why don't you have any milk here?!”

“I just took them in an hour ago! The knights I send to buy supplies won't be back until later!”

“What do you want me to do? Summon a milk with spells?”

“YES!”

“That doesn't exist!”

…uh—

As much as Player want to open their eyes and see what's going on, they are still trying to comprehend what's happening.

Okay so first off..they feel small, like similar when they were using the Shrink Card.

Second, Two male adults from the sound of their voice seem to be the ones that's trying to take care of them it seems..though they are bad at it from the sound of it.

Third..they felt themselves getting carried and they could not stop their body from crying like a child.

And they died..they guessed they did..

…So…this does sound like one of those stories they used to read before the Time Travel to pass the time. They are not sure yet but there's signs.

Player mentally sighs, this is really what they did not sign up for..

They've been busy with thoughts that they were startled when they felt something shoved into their mouth, they mentally blink as they feel their instincts kick in…oh..feeding…uh…yeah this totally checks all the lists that they may have become a baby..

How? They do not know..still, they are not panicking right now because they could still feel the effect of the Ghostwalker..huh…so even with rebirth and stuff, they still have the sword's effects..guess that's permanent then huh?

If Player still has any emotions they would be crying in pure embarrassment that they are probably feeding on a baby bottle of all things. But hey it's necessary for survival so go for it.

“..thank you for the help, Orion..”

“Anything for this one to stop crying, they're a loud one huh? They will be a hassle soon.”

“I can handle it.”

“You sure are persistent Argus.”

“Was that a compliment?”

“You decide on that.”

Hmm…Player can tell that they seem to be close friends..but why do they sound so familiar?

-

The king has sat on the bed, one arm carrying the infant and the other holding the bottle, eyes softening as he watches the infant drink the milk from the bottle. He's very grateful that his friend used his spells to teleport to a nearest market to buy the things that's needed to feed them.

“Don't you have important duties to focus on?” The king asked his friend as the court mage blink in response. “Yeah I do but I'll take care of it later, right now I'm making sure you're doing fine with the child.”

“I have servants to assist me, my friend.” The king said, sweating a little for his friend's concern.

“They’re slow” The court mage said with crossed arms, The king just sighs and smiles at him with a tilt of his head. “Are you perhaps just here because you don't want to do them?” The king questioned, the court mage blink and scoffed.

“So? Plus, I have too much free time anyway!” The court mage said as he then look at the child. “What are you gonna name them?”

The king blink and look down at the infant that has droopy eyes and drinking the milk. “...they have a name by their own parents...” The king replies, the court mage however lifts an eyebrow.

“Didn't they abandon the child?” he asks and the king nods. “Yes they do..but they had a good reason on why..plus. Player is already a good name isn't it?” Said the king while his friend, the court mage judged the name and huff out. “Whatever you say then.” He said with a sigh.

The king smiles and nods at his friend. “Thank you again..truly, Orion.” The court mage stares and smiles back with eyes closed. “No problem, Argus.”

-

It's been a month of the king having a child under his care, his servants are there to assist him alongside his friend the court mage and this is the day where they are finally able to see.

Player is asleep, they start to stir and open their blurry eyes. They only often see blur images for the first few days, so their caretaker..or new father apparently is all just a white and yellow with a bit of blue blur to them, there are also some other people as well but most are just gray, black or white.

However, when they open their eyes and blink a few times. They could see the ceiling…huh…

They blink, turn their little head at the side and see that they're in a crib..yeah, knew it.. they're now a baby. Player sighs, in reality the little pill baby lets out a cute sigh instead of a former young adult who is tired from adventuring and in battles all the time that came across them.

Hey at least they get to see who's their parent now. They try moving their small limbs, they wiggle a little from their soft prison which is a blanket that's wrapped around their small fragile body.

It's a struggle since the blanket had been wrapped tight but not too tight, though it is still a hassle. They unintentionally let out few baby noises while struggling to get their little arms out.

Suddenly they pause when they heard footsteps coming nearby, Player turn their head but they suddenly see a pair of yellow hands reaching down for them.

They were lifted in the air as Player blink and look who has them..

….

….

….

“Hmm…you're awake little one?”

Is this Cruel King??

The man in front of them is younger than the one they remembered, yet has the same crown and attire but with few differences and there's no cape on him. Not only that, he doesn't have that white frosty skin, he has yellow instead.

…Cruel King used to be a yellow skinned robloxian??

Player blink in suprise, blinking a few times as Cruel King tilt his head. Noticing the child's reaction.

“Hmmm…you look more expressive today.” The king hums as he lay the child to his arms, rocking them slowly as he walk over to the door.

“Are you hungry little one? I'm sure the chef has already prepare your bottle for you.” The king cooes as he poke Player's little forehead with a gentle smile.

Player's head is filled with static radio noises.

…They didn't expect for the king…The Cruel King, the same king they had killed, the same king that helps them through their journey and the same king who they visited..

….this confirms that they had traveled so far in the past if Cruel King is this young, he looks like..what? 25? 27?

Last time they see Cruel King, he's at the age of 48. So…are they what? 20+ years in the past? They don't even know the year of this timeline and..how the hell did Cruel King even found them??

Player is too busy with their thoughts that they didn't notice the baby bottle, they just noticed it when they felt a soft nudge on their lips. They blink two times and sees the tip of the baby bottle, they stare at it for a bit before they open their mouth. The king softly push the bottle as they began to feed.

The only good thing that that Ghostwalker ever done. They cannot feel any embarrassment, but just as what they say to themself. It's for survival.

..but damn, they didn't know Cruel King used to have a long hair.

Notes:

I'll try to draw young Cruel King in my Tumblr!! Heads up! And maybe young Ghost Chef/Kitchen Wizard.

Also Headcannon!!

Cruel King used to have yellow skin, he began to have white skin because of the Icedagger. Using the Icedagger made his skin goes white over time.

Chapter 3: Hello Again

Notes:

Cruel King: King Argus

Chef Wizard/ Ghost Chef: Orion

Banished Knight: Sir Dillion

Chapter Text

Taking care of th—his baby is quite an experience. His servants help him a lot which he appreciates, learning how to feed them properly and even changing the diapers. Sure he can make his servants do these things for him but he wants to experience the duty as a parent himself, his servants are busy most of the time anyway, he can't always rely on them.

Though he often sees his baby staring at him most of the time; watching him, even at the crib. Orion, his court mage, had said that it's probably because that they're just looking around curiously especially towards their parents for recognition, In which the king trusts his friend's assumption.

Though sometimes, it feels like they understand him.

The king stares at his baby that has laid on his king sized bed. Wearing a yellow duckling onesie, staring at the king of Blackrock with a look that the king cannot read…it's a little unnerving..sure but its probably normal for babies, right? They like to stare to familiarize themselves within their home.

The king nods to himself in agreement at his own thoughts, that must be right. Of course, what would it be? It's not like they can understand him.

The king pauses when he notices a shift in movement, he looks down again to see the baby still stares at him, blinking while moving their small limbs. The king stares and slightly tilts his head at the side with a smile, a hint of amusement to it.

That is adorable..

The king lifts a finger and gently bumps it softly to the child's nose. “Boop.” The baby pauses and blink before continuing to move their limbs again, The king still has no idea what they're doing. They keep lifting their head followed by their body as if trying to sit up. The king slowly raised an eyebrow.

It's like they're trying to sit..Babies cannot sit at this age right? Or is it normal?

The king sighs, he should have read a book about this.

The king snapped out of his thoughts when he saw little Player trying to turn their body, he's a bit confused until he saw them turning and look like they're about to roll over. That startled him and quickly stops them before they roll over.

“Child! No, do not do that.” The king said with concern, lifting them by their armpits and laying them against his shoulder with his hand at the back of their head. “You cannot do that yet, you might get hurt.” The king said in worry as he breathed out a relief. He doesn't want them to fall out of the bed after all.

Player is restless, they can't move properly and it's quite annoying, they tried several times to even sit and yet their small baby body doesn't cooperate with them.

They are used to moving around and doing things, so laying there doing absolutely nothing makes them restless. They are so used to doing things that just doing nothing feels weird.

They didn't really expect for their afterlife to be a rebirth to a very far past. They don't even know that's even possible but hey, at least Cruel King is alive..

…He's alive

…Alive…

Player's eyes slowly widen in realization. Cruel King is alive, he's young..perhaps Ghost Chef is also alive..then that also means Captain Trotter is alive as well..

..could they perhaps be able to prevent whatever happens in the future? Wait, if they're here. Would they even meet themselves in the future? Could they even stop the kidnapping of Builderman? Also saving Brad?

There are so many possibilities but Player doesn't even know who the Mysterious Figure is, Shedletsky seems to know but he never tells much about it and they didn't pay much attention because their sole focus is getting the swords.

They died before the battle even end….at least that's what Player remembers, it was all too blurry and fuzzy. They couldn't remember much.

..they just need to find what year it is.

Perhaps waiting for a few more years won't be so bad yeah?

Yeah…that's probably right..

….

..hold on..

…Does that mean they're a royalty now?

- 5 years passed -

…Living in a castle is..not that bad..

Their body had developed over the years, making them finally able to move as they were before, like walking and all that stuff.

They were able to crawl at 5 months old, then they began walking around 12; they started speaking around a year old, later now as a 5 years old they can do things that are totally not supposed to do at their age.

Orion, that Player learned he's the Kitchen Wizard or Ghost Chef from their previous life has become their teacher and teaches them the things in kindergarten and bits of elementary level, they already know these things anyway so they learn quickly. Orion had taken a notice to this..

..too quickly in his option..

The king is quite proud that his child is brilliant but Orion on the other hand often looks at Little Player strangely, wondering if it's truly normal. Sure some young robloxians develop early but knowing mathematics equations in seconds?

It's strange for Orion..though the king on the other hand was unaware, he was just pleased and proud that his little one is growing fast though also a hint of fear that they may grow up too fast, doesn't know why though.

Player on the other hand are just glad they can finally do the basic things again, they've been trying over these passed years to gain what they used to have before they died. With this small body they have, it's still quite a struggle, they may have the knowledge but their body isn't so they want to train their body to what it used to be.

Surely, it can't be that hard..

“No.”

Player blink as Cruel King— well, their father now looking down at them with firm disapproval on his face.

“You are too young to perform sword fighting.” The king stated as Player just stared in response. “..just a wooden sword..?” they asked and the king shook his head again.

“Once you are old enough.” The king said and sighs, placing a hand on Player's head and patting them a few times. “I know you have a passion for sword fighting but..perhaps when you are older.” The king said as Player didn't respond but it's clear they are not pleased.

The king knows how much they like it, he had been seeing them watching the knight's train and observing them. He knew they would grow a passion for sword fighting. Even though they don't really show it.

His hand ruffles their hair a little with a smile on his face. “Why not go to Sir Dillion?” Ask the king as Player only blinks, they squint a little to remember who Dillion was.

…Oh right!

The Banished Knight, that was his name.

When their father and Orion are not available, Banished Knight….or Sir Dillion is the one in charge of watching over them. They learned he was one of the king's trusted knights…it's a wonder how he ended up getting banished. Perhaps the Ice Dagger had something to do with it?

It was then a knight came over getting the King's attention and turned his head over to him alone with Player who also stared.

The knight bows with one knee and head lowered. “My king, the Guardians have arrived.” The king's stare went firm, the softened look on his face was replaced with an unreadable expression and gave a nod to his knight, dismissing him with a single wave of his hand.

The knight stands and leaves by the King's silent command. The king stands from his throne and about to step forward until a tug at his pants makes him come to a half. He turned his head over to Player who had their hand gripping their father's pants. The king tilted his head in a silent question.

“..may I come..?” the King's eyes widened a little and thought about it. His child hasn't met the Guardians yet, he doesn't know how they would even react, especially Player. He prefers for them to be with Dillion since a child shouldn't be present at the meeting..

…but that look in their eyes said it otherwise, despite the blank look. The king felt upset because of it. He doesn't know if it's intentional or not. The king couldn't say no, after all their child is very well mannered, he's sure they wouldn't be a disturbance.

“Very well, stay close to me.” He said as Player got closer, The king reached his hand and held their smaller one in a gentle grip as he began walking away with Player walking with him.

In a room filled with the Guardians of the Swords is totally a thing Player is looking forward to, After all since they're in a very far past, not only they are curious of what they look like but they also wanna hear what they are going to talk about.

Stepping to the room, Player scans the people inside. Player sees quite an unfamiliar and familiar bunch. Though Player stays close to their father as he reaches his seat.

One raises an eyebrow beneath his hood when spotting Player. “...I did not know you have a child, Argus..” Player quickly looked at the familiar voice. A guy with those familiar robes and a pair of wings..that's a lot of wings, they've seen it before..who was it again?

The king merely just nods as he kept Player close to him. “No, I did not marry anyone if that's what you were thinking. I just adopted them, Mr. Telamon.” He stated and that's when Player perked up.

Oh right!.. Shedletsky…or Telamon. How come he had a lot of wings back then?

Telamon let out a slight shrug. “Well, it's not that you were the first to bring a child to the meeting.” The king raise an eyebrow at that, it was then that one of the sword guardian rubs the back of his neck with an awkward smile.

Player look over at the guy and that's where they squint their eyes at him…familiar..they look a lot like someone yet..

…oh…

oh

It's…it's Mayor Thaniyel isn't he? He looks a lot younger and..not quite what they expect, but time did affect him that much in the future then huh? He has a quite nice build and hair slightly longer; he has a hat that looks identical to what Brad wears.

“I have brought my son with me. The babysitter wasn't available.” He said with an apologetic smile which the king lifted his eyebrows in realization and shook his head. “Oh no no, it is fine.” He said in response and that's where Telamon snapped his fingers.

“Perfect then, why not have the children play somewhere while we adults continue this meeting. Time is ticking after all.” Telamon said as he tapped his finger against the table in a “tap tap tap”. Impatiently in fact.

Though, Player turn their gaze at Telamon. They saw him staring at them despite the hood on. They knew.. he's observing them..Player, returned their stare back. A hint of intrigue on Telamon's shadowed eyes.

……Did he..?

Player is snapped out of their thoughts when they find themselves getting guided over to the door by some knight.

That's where Player is met face to face with someone they would not think to see again so soon. Messy hair, green sweater with brown pair of pants and a bonnet on his head. Looking away from them with crossed arms looking grumpy.

…Even at a young age they still like the color green huh?

They were taken to the other room earlier and Sir Dillion, the future Banished Knight, is watching over them.

Player stare at the other child, blinking before they lift their hand in a silent greeting. He blink sees them bringing up their hand and looks at it then at them and back at their hand in a confused look on their face.

Player stares blankly, tilting their head. “..Player..” The other child sends some untrusting glare and huffs. “D0n't you like, h4ve a royalty titl3?”

Player blink at the change of their speech, huh. Player decided to not put much attention to it and shrugs in response. They don't really see themselves in any gender. Robloxians choose their own gender anyway, like an accessory that's part of themselves. So they are called “Prince Player” or “Princess Player” by anyone.

Their father had questioned them about what they prefer and they just gave a shrug as an answer. The king had thought that they haven't chosen yet since they're a child but Player didn't correct their father and let it be that way, after all. They don't want to attract more attention to themselves right away. Orion has already begun to suspect something.

He stares at them with disdain before he huffs looking away. Not introducing himself, Player blinks and tilts their head. A small smile tugged on their face. At least they don't get to fight him this time, huh?

So far..Brad hadn't talked to them much, keep giving them a distrust glare at them. They used to be talkative before they time traveled, but now they are just standing there and Sir Dillion is the one that's feeling more awkwardness at the silence than these children.

Seriously, in every child Sir Dillion witnessed. Silence between these two is not what he is really expecting, shouldn't they play by now? What should he do?

Sir Dillion thought about it until an idea came to his mind. “Any of you wanna play sword fighting?”

Player and Brad both perked up.

Remembering what their father said but Player isn't going to lose this opportunity. So they nod.

The king focuses on the meeting but his mind drifts off towards their child, despite trying to focus on what was being said. He cannot help this feeling of worry for them.

Player is not a normal child, he knows that. There are things he has noticed when they grow these passing years.

The lack of emotion, the coldness in their skin and other things that's totally concerning. It's not easily spotted but once he pays attention, he sees it.

He knew…it wasn't normal…he had tried to bring them to any medical center and even at the Roadtown but none could ever detect what was wrong with them. With a sigh the king decided to focus on this later, for now. He must stay focused on the meeting. Though, he had noticed Telamon staring at him.

The king raised an eyebrow with a tilt of his head as a silent question. Telamon stares and turns to look away. The king blinked and felt a little unease. Did he do something wrong..?
