Chapter Text

In the dark place of Ignacia , there were an abandon blacksmith shop with a drying view of plants around them. A few soldier around a loyal and constant costumer have arrive with a add letter in his arms. They have stop outside of the shop as their leader Clouse began to speak.

"Blacksmith! I have come here to invite you to Chen's tourdaments of elements. As one of his favorite you will train under him as his student for two years before it will began."

The Blacksmith exit the shop covers in smoke and soot. His expresion is unknow due to the mouth guard and the eyes wrap in a bandage.

"Im not interest in your littel tourdament. Take your boss order and leave me alone."

"Well isnt it disrespect. Master Chen is still giving invitesion to the farthers elemental master before hand. There will be an invite for the ninja's a month before its began. "

"The ninjas? Hah what they nothing to do with me!" He said as he walk inside the forge ready to make another weapon.

"The ninjas are Wu's students , Blacksmith. The ones that taking your sister, Nya."

At that moment the Blacksmith stop at his path as he look at Clouse.

"That curse old man student? Ohh I will make them pay for what they did."

"Yes and one of them is his nepwey , the green ninja."

"When will I go?" Saying in a very scary tone.

"Master have said you need to train as his student with his daugther , the soon heir. Your ride will arrive next week . Hope you are ready , Blacksmith." The last word before they loft wit their order.

A week have past by , and the Blacksmith already ready at the place where he need to be . The boat finally arrive with Clouse on its deck.

"Dont you bothet to wear something more respectable." He said with a venom in his voice.

"Whats wrong with my cloth? This is all I had. Its there is no those fancy suit shop around where Im from."

"At least your wear more cleaner, Blacksmith" he rolls his eyes. After their chat , they ride to the island . The Blacksmith look at the waters in fear. Clouse notice this. "Youe fear is waters I see."

" The water always kills the flames. As much you need it , its will end you drown same as the flame . As much you need and the end it will burn you. They the same but different." "Its looks like you have a very deep bond with your elements, Blacksmith"

"Flame of fire exist when Im born , its always beside me even everyone left me. They show me the truth of the world , the light that I need."

Its not long that they arrive at their destination. Blacksmith looks in amazement at the building. He follow Clouse until the throne room wheres a man known by Chen appears. The man looks excited to see the Blacksmith.

"Oh ho ho ho. Is this the murdeus Blacksmith , Clouse ? I must say he quite perfect to be my student. Come mr. Blacksmith tonight we have dinnerr under your name as a coming ceremony. You do look skinner than I thought. I must say with your hand craft I love it . It there no quality match with any other . Let me lead you to your room."

"Woah umm thank you. Its my honour by your hospitality. I didnt expec my only costomer is this excited to me."

"Well Blacksmith , Its hard to find one that your kind that make a very sturdy sword mix with the price! Im not just a customer but also a busnines man. I have a francise of Chen's noodles all around ninjago. I also have a millions informations from those restorants even about your sister now known as samurai X."

"What!?"

"Oh Samurai X the protector and allise of the ninjas. She the only girl in the team and one that I heard that she is dating with one of them."

"No, no ,no!!! She been manipulate by them ! And dating with one of them! No. I will become your student to find her."

"Well see you tonight."

The last thing he said before he left the Blacksmith in a brightly red room.

In his newly red gold room , thr Blacksmith look in amazement by both the size and the decorations. His room partically the same size of his house and more spaca. There also a bed that looks so comfy that he can sleep like a dacade. He walk to the shelf to see many books that interest him from about forging and samurai weaponds to the lesson he will learn abour , fighttingband history. In his past these books a like gold , as much he want to keep his sister safe he still want her to learn by sendding her to school and treaten everyone in that building . He then look at the closest to see a lot new pair of cloths that like a luxury for him. In that only room have fill his unkown dreams that he once believe he never reach.

After all that a knok can be hear from the door , he open the wooden door to see Clouse. He and his usual demeanor walk up to the closet and pick out a beutiful tradisional japanese clothing , yukata in the theme of white, brown , red and gold. Its look like an emperor cloth to him.

"Since you never have a proper cleaning and never have an seen this type of clothing. I will only help you with your suit and how to wear it . Please srub of those dirt this quite an expensive ." Clouse says as he look at the dirty man.

"I umm thank you? I never have left my home since I know the outside world are dangerous. They take my parents now my sister. Can I have a mask please? I dont want someone fear my face for our first meeting."

"Of course boy, while I go take one of our finest . I suggest you go clean yourself. No dirt allow on this carpet and in the dinning area."

"Yes . I go "

When Clouse finally gone , the Blacksmith finally enter the large luxurius bathroom. Heck even there is a souna at the other side . When he finally drown himself in the hot steaming pool , all the body preasure have immedietly release. Chen realy make his guest in heavens. After the long cleanning session , he practically glowing by all of his skin now no longer cover in soot. Clouse have put a golden half lion kitsuni mask. Thanks for Clouse help he finally ready for the upcoming dinner . Clouse then lead him to a large dinning hall to see Chen who is surrounded by all kinds of food with the both maids and soldier serving him.

"Ahh , Blacksmith! Come and join us in our feast! You looks stunning ."

"Thank you but Its Clouse help."

"Ahh Dont worry much . My daugther soon get here."

Then a female voice shout." Sorry father, Its hard to find a good dress."

Blacksmith look and imidetly time stop. A very beutiful girl in a stunning orange dress with hair same as the flame. Chen notice his expresion and smirk.

"Blacksmith this is my daugther , Skylor. Skylor this is the man thatbmaking our soldier weaponds. "

"Hi Im Skylor Chen . You must be the Blacksmith."

"Y-yeah . I-Im the B-Blacksmith."

"Hahaha. You funny . I like you. So dad there is anything we need to talk.?"

"Well dear , you see I will make Blacksmith here as your body guard for a few weeks! I think it better for you to know her scedule before becoming my student. You also need to train on yourself . You might be strong but is it strong enought to fight the other masters ?. Plus in those weeks I will test you if you are worthy of my student. As long you are not my my student I will not give you anything about you sister, is it a deal?"

At that moment Blacksmith in a chaos. If he want his sister back he need to make himself worthy. The flame thought him that everything have a couse so a risk he need to make.

The Blacksmith awake in the soft bed as he had proper sleep in centuries. The calm noise of birds are odd to him, due to his home land basicly now a baren wasteland have no longer have life in it. He take a deep breath as wispers of voices corruptted his mind about his failure of protecting his sister. So long in isolation can couse some 'little' side effects , maybe his human communication needs to be check. He sign as he began to clean himself and pick a clothing style that fit for fightting, lucky him that all his new wardrobe fill with fighting theme clothing. When he finally exit the room he immedietly meet by two guard and of course Clouse. 

" I see you have awaken more early than I thought. Great that means you do have discipline that can be useful for Master Chen . Follow me Blacksmith he is waitting."

They go to the dinning hall where Chen at the main table enjoying his breakfast. He brighten to see the Blacksmith arrive.

" Ohhh Blacksmith its a beutiful morning isnt it . So my daugther will come here any second. You must remember her scedules. * take breath* afterbreakfastshewillhaveherprivatestudies,thenaround10shewillhavehertrainingwiththegeneral ,nexttra withClousethenwithme.Afterthat lunchthenstudywithClousethentrainthenreadingtimethenfre timesbreakafterthatdinnerreadindingagainthen finish"

In all that Blacksmith blur by Chen fast speach couse him to wisper at Clouse. "Dont want to be rude but what did he said?"

"I will make a scroll of her schedule for you " Blacksmith."

"Thanks. " "Um what both are wispering about?"

"Uh nothing master." Say the Blacksmith.

"oh you can forge at our underground forge. One of our guards will show you during Skylor trainning. You not allow together with her during both her studies and training between me and Clouse."

Then like clockwork Skylor finally come fro her room. "Ah Skylor you dont mind Blacksmith accompany you as your bodyright?"

"Yes father . I dont mind"

"Great , Blacksmith you not allow to go to Clouse area like his office and his private libery studies while mine is my room and my office."

The Blacksmith nod clear the information. Not long he began to follow Skylor while his hearth are racing like a rocket. 'Focust, you here to find Nya not to fall inlove. If you will that means betray her by loving another that by replace her with another. No one will protec you my sister . you will safe when I found you and bring you home'. Twisted mind smile under the mask.

As his client daugther do her dailly routine, blacksmith look at her like a hawk thanks to his years of observing Nya move . Make him remember is a easy task.after a week he able to remember every room and step of each people. The voice he can hear by miles but he do keep control of his insanity in check.

During his free time he thought that if he need to be i the tourdament . He need atleast a proper attire to fight in those accasions. Then he remember that currently Nya is a samurai a armor that use for fighting. What if he make one for himselft? that desing as a warning for all to know. He began to reseach his desing but never fit . Its need to be stronger and dangerous but none of it fit. Maybe when he finally able to train under Chen then he finally know what desing and material he he need.

When his week of becoming a bodyguard are finally over, now he finally infront of Clouse for his training. He observe that Skylor is a straight as a pole and non one of her body are bend like a perfect soldier. Clouse who hold a long stick glare at Blacksmith.

"Do what she doing Blacksmith"

As told Blacksmith try his beat to be straight as a soldier as possible. Years of constant hunch over for making orders of metal into his desire shape have make his back hurt like a devil. When he think he is straight enought Clouse wip his back immedietly .

"Not enought straighter! How will I train you if you unable do the simplest things. "

The Blacksmith try his best but unable too couse Clouse to roll his eyes and sign as take a metal pole put it behind the young man back and began to cast a spell that force his to be straight also couse his back to be heard cracking bone sound as paind role up to kis spine. Clouse the tied a rope around the chest and stomach to secure more of the pole and also cast a spell on the rope to be tighten to a degree he cant breath a single air. Blacksmith now hissing in pains as Clouse put a cup of water above their heads each.

" your current training are to pick these sword and fight me without the cups on your heads collapes."

Clouse direcrtions sound easy as Skylor do it first . The fighting style are similar to fenching style. She do it gracefully until his turn and let say it does not end well for him. The pains at his spine keep creeping him up as he cup keep spill on top of his head, everytimes he fail Clouse will wip him using eighther with the sword or the long stick . At the end of his class' Clouse punish him by the pole stuck his back for a month . He left the class with bruises and slashes cover mostly at the arms. Thanks fully that Skylor have brings bandages just in case. When they arrive at Chen's arena , the man smirk at the Blacksmith.

"Clouse class? Dont worry he always stric with his students. Now skylor could you and Blacksmith fight."

"Wait what?." Te blacksmith sputer

"Well I wanna see your potensial and skill firat so .Now!"

In a moment Skylor immedietly attack, blacksmith in a moment spirnt just in time to escape the blow even with the restrictions at his back he still able to keep up. His style more to one kill not a full blown battel so of course he lose at the end but Chen do look satified .

"Hmmm Its look like that you able to have a decend fight Blacksmith but you do have lack both experence and stamina. Dont worry we build that up before the tourdament. Dont worry I dont be that old man Wu with his first student Morro."

"Who?"

"You see Blacksmith Wu once had his very first student that disapere due to Wu lack of care. Wu once manipultate Morro the master of wind at that time to become the greatest green ninja but fate did not chose him couse him to run away. The old man never came back couse the poor man demise and until now no one have intheric the wind for dacades. NO one know what happen to the element but its known to all that element have gone and forgotten."

The fear stuck like a train to him . Then what will happen to Nya if he isnt worthy of The allience will she will be abonden by that sick old man. The thousand tought hit him like no other. If he need to save her he need to win this tourdament for once and for all.

After knowing the brutal fate of the first student of that wicked old man , the Blacksmith now determines to train. He have train day and night without stop even the breaks he stop using. He sometimes read the scrolls and books in his room and the library that provide to studies the art of both martial arts, battle strategy and crafts so that he could become stronger than he was before. His body once only cover in scar of flame now also cover the scar of both torture and battle. Months past and it's have a very noticeable different on his body, the once crooked body is now straight like any soldiers can be, a longer but cleaner hair that now been style as a ponytail and finally his body now more suitable for battle than only blacksmith. Due to an extreme training he have forgotten about the plans for his armour that for the tournament unknown that the master have a suprise waiting for him.

Sweat and blood have covers his body after an intensive training for him own obsessed to 'save' his little sister but Skylor have come to join him. They have plans to train together and Skylor just want a partner that can rival her own skills. Fire fight fire for all to see , burning red of sensational have fill the training room. After a few hours they have stop to take a brake.

"Hey Blacksmith. Do you have any other names besides the current ones?" Skylor ask to his partner.

"It's a quite a sentetive topic. I once a weak boy back then and when the flame show me ways, I began to follow. Everyone has forgotten about the weak boy back then and now everyone has know me as the blacksmith the one who need to be feared by all. Fear is the thing that shield me and my sister against the danger of the world , the thing that is fuel me when love no longer exists."

"Well I quite gotten bore always hearing nickname or tittles after a while so curiosity have got to me. Smith ,the world outside I never gotten to see. Been stuck here as long as I know so far as I have born. The Kabuki and soldier are my only interactions besides dad and Clouse. No one of the have interacted with me this deep. No one but you , Smith"

"T-thank you . I'm flutter by your comment of word. Skylor is quite a beautiful name for me."

"Hahaha thanks. You know dad will soon pick a new name for you. He do have other suprise as well. You now apart of us now. A family."

"Family. The word that I have forgotten about." He whisper.

"It's Kai , Kai the fire blacksmith."

"Cool name hotshot. So you free this Friday? Dad will have a trip for his food empire."

"Y-yes , I'm free."

"Cool, remember to wear something adventures . Okay?"

After that interactions, as soon he enters his room he immediately crash out. ' Is he going to a date?' he thought to himself. Maybe this is a chance but how about Nya? He still have nearly to collide with the ninjas so maybe he could slow down a bit but of course not . Maybe just one time? Yeah just one date can do. Plust never had any life interactions in years so what can something goes wrong.

The day have finally arrive as Kai wears the traditional Chinese clothing with some plates of armour. When Skylor arrive , she wears a very beautiful simple orange dress that design for long adventures and she also wears black tracksuit pants underneath. She signal him to follow her and let say the terrain is difficult to climb. When the finally reach to the top he could see the whole island and at the farthest of eyes there a colour but small light.

"That Ninjago over there. This is of a few of my secret place. Not much but simple."

"It's beautiful"

"It is . The one that can see all. So I brought noodles! "

Kai look at he weirdly and she just scoffs.

"What , I'm thinking of picnic "

He only nod and they began to eat in silence , enjoy the rest of the night. The breeze of air are cold and calm opposite to the flame he has use. Morro once the wind that was alive have been killed by his uncaring master now he gonna save his sister from the same fate. He is the flames, Skylor the amber and the once alive Morro was the wind, how many people out there with powers like theirs. How many blood that Wu sarcafice for that of the green ninja. He sign as he now thinking of the 'date' that Infront of him. He once hear of the ritual of yong and yang a couple ceremony but he never seen one before so maybe he will find about that. His stomach fill with a flutter of butterfly even thought he currently eating. They talk for hours and not as long as he thought they return to their rooms. Did he do the right decisions to agree to join this tournament?

Conflict by love of two ends, Kai take a deep sign to get of any voice. He read through the books and scrolls to see anything that can help him in the tournament then he found it. A material the known to block any elemental master powers , the vengestone. He wonders if he could melt it and over power the material so he immediately get to work. He ask Chen about the stone and let say immediately got it.

The material are tougher than he thought but that doesn't mean he will rest. If he can over power the material, he just beats any master just a flick. He use it , blacksmithing, melting, burning, fuse it by all with his flames. With his twisted obsession, his arms began to burn by his own fire as it change from flaming red to blue even sometimes invisible if he compress his flames. He chain his body using the material and able to ignite small flames, a start . Then He train in the heaviest of rain so his flames survive but then...

*Blop!*

A piece of vengestone have melted in the rain drop in a container fill with the waters above. Kai shock to heara sound of sizzle in the water similar to a fresh forge sword enters the waters insides. Kai put his hand in the container to find that the block material becomes a drop similar to a drop of water. Whisper in his mind fill with dark fantasy of burning masters shackle of the material know he able to melt. He gave out a maniac laught as loud as he can to be heard by the island itself.

In the palace Clouse and Chen have their private meeting about their master plan until they heard the scary maniac laughter. The duo look at each other and smirk in a sinister way.

"Clouse prepare our new member. He ready."

"Yes master"

" Oh please make sure that armour is finish too."

From another side of the large palace Skylor do her readings until she heard the laughter from afar. She chuckle and slumber her figure a little fill her mind with her own fantasy.

"You did it huh, Hothead." She said as she Imagen her with her insane lover.

In distance of far from the seas, master Wu broke his meditate and breath heavenly to look at an odd angle. His brother , Garmadon who finally free from the overlord enter the room with tea in hand. He look at his younger brother in concern upuntil he felt a familiar element that now able to burn a material that the masters can't overcome. The danger are coming and piece can't last.

In the abandoned land of Ignacia , Nya returns with a suspicious felling. She return to confront her brother but she never found him. She search everywhere in the forge but there is no sign , the place even looks like it been abandoned for months. Then she found a book contain oddly fill with orders of weapons for someone name M.C . No one is insane enought to order handmade blacksmith from her brother but due to the odds she knew he out there hunting.

Chapter Text

Kai have been summon by master Chen to come on the night of the full moon one of thoses secret arena,the blacksmith been guide by both Skylor and Clouse in the dark small path. When the trio arrive, they been meet by an area like ritual decor at the whole arena. Drums and flame surrounded the ground itself as Chen at the middle of it.

"My dear follower! On this moonshine night another member have come to join our serpentine side! He the one who bore one of the elements of creations have been summon to our guide! He the one who been call the killer to all his home, I represent to all of you, Blacksmith!."

The whole arena cheers in pure joy as hundred of army and Kabuki have come just to see him. Kai look around as Skylor and Clouse walk to Chen side each bring out their weapons like the others 5 soldiers.

"Blacksmith boy! You need defeat all this soldier of mine without your powers to finally join our side. Which you pick , win to have everything you want or lose to all that you work for."

As if it's like a command he fight all 5 soldiers with ease but then came the of Chen powerful figures , the heir, his lover, Skylor. She ready with her spear as he ready with his sword,. The duo battle in the most climatic way as if they in war. Kai bloodlust and Skylor trained skill do give a battle a show of their own. The sound of clash metals can be heard constantly as Chen and Clouse look from their podium in amuse, well mostly Chen .

The battle was brutal and long as if it's was a tied but Kai like his fire , will never let his burn out easily. The fire master eyes turn into the colors of the flame as he finally defeat the heir. The arena cheers on that sweet victory as he give Skylor a hand. Chen clap eagerly as he began to give a speech.

"Congratulations Blacksmith, You have won! Now you will drank our soup that contain the bones of the anacondrai and tattoo it's symbols into your skin as a mark of your belong. Since you also defeat my heir, that means you will marry her on her 16 birthday next year! I'm so proud of you son!"

"Wait you never told me about marriage?" Kai ask to Skylor who in his arms.

"Well it more like a vow promise to who defeated me get me hotshots." She answers

As after he give her to the soldiers,he was given the soup . He drank the odd soup as the chamber to the tattoo area have been open. He and Chen walk through the tunnels as they reach to the room that full of snake designs. Chen walk to the artist and give him a paper the he nod. The artist signal him to lay flat at his front so he can put the tattoo on his back. Kai take his breath as he ready to dealt the pain.

It took him some time to finally allow to stand. The artist guide to a full body size mirror for him to see the desing. It's different than any others, a serpent that have its tail similar to a centipede like it been from the creature before it involves into a snake. The creature is in a upside down U surrounded a kanji word that oddly similar to his old dad's banner. Chen arrive and smile..

"Love it son? I pick a special to you. It contain to your origin of your flame."

"What it meant?"

" Follows the old story there a fire master that lost in a realm far from here, the story goes that he also a blacksmith like you. And like you been left alone for a long time , nothing with only a weapon that he created to keep him company. That realm corrupted to who it's enters, the myth goes he also been devoured by the realm to become a centipede. So it's click mix with that fire symbol."

"Thank you, Master Chen ,." He bow .

" Well fire boy , we are a family now. Just call me father."

"Thank you , Father for everything "
