Chapter Text
“Naruto, kit. Can you please stop yelling? You're going to wake the dead, and they still will not listen to you.” The three-tailed jinchuuriki questioned as she stayed nearby the blonde jinchuuriki, but he was too much interested in his ramen to listen to anyone. “Agh, come on, Mom, you know! It's the only way they can listen to me, or any of us, if you aren't loud.” Naruto grumbled as he turned from the bars that kept him prisoner and his bijuu trapped in the mouth of the Fifth Hokage’s rock bust.
And in Naruto’s mind, his beloved mother figure just happened to be there to keep him safe and not feel too alone.
“They seem to answer me pretty well, but of course, I get away with a lot as well.” Rin murmured and turned her attention to the fox bijuu that lay in her lap. She ran her fingers through his sleeping, warm fur and twirled some of his tails in her hand. Petting the most powerful of the nine bijuu wasn't a power move in the three-tailed jinchuuriki's mind, but the two just enjoyed the bonding time together.
At least, Rin had a calming energy to the nine-tailed duo, and Kurama was a strong source of heat that the cold-blooded duo could enjoy.
Lying next to the slouching against the wall, jinchuuriki was her strange three-tailed turtle pet that always was with his mom for some reason, and at this point, Naruto never questioned what the hell kind of thing it was. And Kurama just never really told Naruto what it was either… he would have if asked, but it was just never asked.
Resting her head against the back of the rocky wall, a gentle yawn came from the three-tailed duo, and Isobu lifted his head to look up at his jinchuuriki. ” It's almost food time, yeah. Maybe we can request some sushi for tomorrow?” Kurama and Rin looked down at the bijuu, and she gave a nod. “Oh, that sounds good. But no eel. I know you love it, but ew.” She murmured and used her other hand to rub it gently over his semi-spiky back.
Isobu was so tiny and there wasn't much detail in this form that the spikes didn't hurt anyone, immune as she was, that he would need to be thrown hard to hurt anyone in his current form. ” Fine, hm. But extra salmon would make it even, I suppose, yeah.”
Another bout of yelling and Naruto finally looked his head in. “Mom! I think the ramen is coming!” He giggled so innocently and, after giving Kurama some scratches under his chin, he jumped off her lap and ran over to join on top of his jinchuuriki's head. ” I still want to request some tape just to cover your mouth for one night, Naruto, but I guess like you, it gets ignored.” Kurama grumbled and yawned as they all felt, except the king of never-ending energy, that a nap would be good after supper.
With a sense of excitement for his ramen and ignoring his bijuu's rude request, Naruto giggled and jumped up and down against the bars while waiting for the food to be delivered. Rin got up from her sitting position and picked up Isobu to carry her on her shoulders. “Maybe a single sleeping pill would work?” The female teased and chortled at the hurt look in her son's eyes from the suggestion. “Mom~! I'm not that bad, you know! I can be quiet when I need to.” He grumbled, but Rin just chortled again, easily reaching up and rubbing her hand through his hair like she had with the fox fur.
“I'm just messing, kit. I wouldn't drug you like that. It'd be too lonely around here without you being my alarm and yelling what we need.” Leaning over and clanking their headbands together, Rin stood back up, and all four watched as the food slowly started to get wheeled down to them. “This food service is getting a little old, though,” Rin murmured and watched as Naruto attempted to reach in for his food, and she took a few steps to easily grab one of the two sticks of fish-shaped taiyaki.
It wasn't hard for her to reach with her being a few inches taller than Naruto, but she doubted she would stay that way after his next growth spurt. While Naruto began to struggle to reach for his still out of reach ramen, Rin allowed Isobu the first bite, allowing him to hold the stick in his mouth while she reached out to grab her son's food as well. “We need a different way of delivering our food, something you can reach without my help.” She grunted and finally managed to grab the side by the top and pulled it closer and close enough for Naruto to eagerly grab it.
“Ah! Thanks Mom! You're the best, you know! I love you!” He always praised her for the simplest of things, and she loved the simple words either way. “I love you, too, Naruto. Now let's eat before it gets cold.” But when he went to step back to enjoy his food while Rin went to reach for her other stick, the sounds of a scuffle above them ended up causing the food platter to fall and send the rest of her food falling to the ground below.
Naruto rushed back to the bars, and Rin grumbled at the lost food. “What the heck caused that? We don't waste food!” With her yelling up to the guard above, and let out a muffled sigh of irritation. “Mmm… did you want to share mine, Mom?” Naruto offered from next to her, but Rin simply shook her head with a grateful smile. She took the leftover fish-shaped food and quickly finished it with not much left after the bijuu took the biggest bite. “No, future Hokage need their food more than I do. I still have one so that'll last me till later, but thanks for the offer.” She looked down, between the bars, and heard some more shuffling and scuffing from above, only for her to take the bitten taiyaki from her bijuu before he seemingly disappeared back into her body.
“Stop! Intruder!”
“Naruto…” The mother jinchuuriki warned her child as he still began to dig into his ramen, but slowly got behind the female jinchuuriki as a way of being protected. ” Someone's coming.” Kurama growled protectively, but Rin simply backed away from the bars when two of the supposed guards were thrown completely over the side of the Hokage mountains by someone, maybe targeting them for some reason.
Naruto was naturally more powerful than Rin ever would be, bijuu and genetics alone topped hers, but she still was overly protective of her adoptive son.
Slowly, two strange male figures descended from the sky to Midway in front of the bars, but even with the idea of a threat looming over them, Naruto still could be heard behind the three-tailed jinchuuriki slurping away without a care in the world. Rin glared at the possible threat, taking note of the strange way they traveled, but also quickly catching on to wearing a Kumo headband while the other didn't seem to have a visible headband. However, she wasn't an idiot to guess the other one wasn't a ninja in some way either.
“A jinchuuriki, all alone, aw, yeah! A jinchuuriki, just a brat, so forlorn.” The one with the cloud headband spoke without even realizing that their target wasn't alone in his captivity. “Hm? Who the heck are you, Miss girl? Naruto, I thought you would be by yourself here.” Another slurp of his ramen, and his cheeks full, Naruto stepped up beside his mother figure and seemed very oblivious to whatever was happening. “Naw, I haven't been alone for a long time. Mom keeps me company. Probably better than Kurama. And you owe her food that you dropped with… whatever this is, you know.” He grumbled rather calmly, and Rin just took a step back and crossed her arms over her chest. “I don't know who you're calling a brat? Nor what you two think you might be doing here.” Not exactly on guard fully yet, this whole scenario was more strange than threatening, but that didn't mean they could just push their luck.
“Lord Killer Bee came to save the poor fox and his jinchuuriki from confinement. I need him for a special assignment. Don't let this end with some misalignment, miss!” The cloud user rapped, but still didn't seem to sway Rin in the slightest. Yes, they were trapped against their own free will, but Rin knew the hard way that the two of them weren't going to have freedom so easily. “What does the land of clouds want with Naruto and Kurama? You guys already have two bijuu, you don't need any more.”
Looking toward Gaara, who was quiet the whole time, Bee just crossed his arms to match her and had to think a bit. “It's only for jinchuuriki business, miss. I can't bring someone like you into the loop, aw yeah! It's for your safety.” Rin turned to give a side eye to Kurama and seemingly reached up to scratch her shoulder. “ Jinchuuriki business, huh? Now that's very interesting.” Isobu bided his time for the three tails duo’s safety, and after doing it for so long, they didn't know who to trust.
Both Gyuki and Shukaku formed on their respective jinchuuriki's shoulders, causing Rin to gasp slightly, and it was hard to hide her excitement. “Gyuki and…” She saw the one tail and seemed to squint a bit, her excitement a little twisted when figuring out why two different jinchuuriki from vastly different lands were together like this. “Shukaku…” She murmured with mistrust about this whole ordeal.
Both Bee and Gaara, and even their bijuu, were surprised by the sudden real name drops of their bijuus like that, and from some lady they still had no idea about. ” They are on our side, Rin, yeah. We can trust them.” The jinchuuriki trusted her bijuu more than most in her life, but might have been biased by something so strange. ”Mm… Maybe, but we just have to wait to see what they want. It still seems so fishy.” Rin looked back at Kurama, who essentially said the same thing as Isobu. ” They're on our side, so let's listen to what they have to say, Naruto, Rin.”
“Just stand back from the bars and we'll open it for you, ya fool!” Bee tried getting the two to understand quicker than it seemed to be clicking, but Rin just didn't trust that easily, bijuu or not. Her attention fell on the lower-ranked tailed bijuu, and she looked at his jinchuuriki with a tilt of her head. “Tell me who you are, then maybe I'll move.” She debated, only for Gaara and Bee to look skeptical and annoyed at the delays. “Sabaku no Gaara. We don't have time for any more delays, so please move back.” He tried to be gentle about this whole ordeal, while Shukaku lifted his hand toward the bars that kept them prisoner.
“Ah! Don't touch those!” Rin's sudden shouting caused Shukaku to pull his sandy paw back and growl rather defensively. ” What the hell? What is your problem, wench?” The tanuki growled out with annoyance only for Rin to move from where their food area was delivered, still deadpanning, and attempt to stick her hand anywhere beyond those two or three seal free bars.
Lightning sparked against the forbidden hand and caused a powerful sealing bolt to travel through the jinchuuriki's body from the tips of her fingers. Naruto stopped mid-slurp of his dinner to gasp out from the smoke that came from the random attack it caused to his mother. They both knew what happened if they tried to leave the jail cell, it hurt them both, jinchuuriki and bijuu, three or nine tails, if either attempted to leave, but the blonde was surprised that his mother did it so willingly.
A slight hiss crossed the female’s lips, and she quickly pulled back to wave her hand in the air, but she kept her feelings under control. “If you attempt to touch the bars as a jinchuuriki, or bijuu, you'll get hurt. I would rather you guys not get hurt just for our sake.” Naruto walked up to look at the burns on his mother's hand, but they turned their attention back to the floating men. ” That was a stupid move, Rin. You could have just warned them instead.” Kurama's ears fell back with concern for the female jinchuuriki, but she used her other hand to lean up against her son's body as if they didn't have a care in the world. “Yes, and since when do bijuu listen to anyone that isn't their jinchuuriki, Kurama?”
Shukaku pulled back from the idea of getting hurt and lay against his jinchuuriki’s shoulder, but didn't say anything much from the move. ” How did you get affected, if you're not a jinchuuriki? Why are you even in there with a jinchuuriki in the first place? If anything seems fishy, it's seeing a normal person care about anything to do with us.” The tanuki spoke of the concern that the one-tailed duo were both feeling about this whole ordeal, only for Rin to smile a bit. “Normal, hm? I haven't been that way for a long time. And I'm not leaving my son alone for too long. I can't have him getting into trouble.”
Her smile grew into a grin, and she stood back up to tap Naruto to back up from the bars. “Blame Kurama for the seal affecting me, his influence is very … strong… I suppose.” Though the fox rolled his eyes at the lie, he didn't feel like correcting it in the slightest. “There. I've warned you. If you still think you can get Naruto out, without hurting yourself or others, then be my guest.”
Kurama didn't understand why the jinchuuriki didn't just tell the truth about what she was to people and tailed beasts they could trust, but wasn't going to be the one to spill her status. Besides, it seemed like it'd be fun for them to slowly figure it out sooner or later.
“Weee! Hell yes! I can handle it, for sure, miss! Just leave it to me!” Demonic chakra began to bubble around the eight-tailed jinchuuriki's body while slowly pulling his arm back with the full intent of punching out the bars. Rin quickly pulled Naruto back by the collar of his jacket to give them more space while Bee easily destroyed the cell that kept them in prison for so long.
With a cough from the growing dust and debris, Rin shook her hand to try to clear away the air next to the three and nine tailed jinchuuriki, and made sure Naruto didn't get hurt, but still kept up her guard when the two fellow jinchuuriki stepped into the leaf jinchuuriki's prison. “Wow, that was amazing, you know! You need to teach me how to do that!” Another slurp of his noodles, and his focus was still mostly on the food while Kurama and Rin focused on the men. However, even with how defensive Rin was, her excitement for the other bijuu was very hard to hide and seemed to push her defensive side away.
“I never thought I'd meet the other bijuu of the nine. They look so cool.” She whispered in amazement, even taking a few steps toward Gaara to look closer at Shukaku, but Gaara still kept his front facing toward the excited woman, as she seemed to give strange vibes to him. “.... For a normal human, you're very knowledgeable about bijuu. We didn't even say their names, and you seem to know them. That's very odd.” He tried to seem intimidating, but Rin just smiled gently down toward the red head. “You are very observant, Gaara, for someone so young. For one with the ultimate defense, you probably don't need anyone to protect you, right?”
Gaara took a step back when Rin's motherly instinct seemed to trigger in such a strange manner when meeting ones like herself, and one so young like Naruto, especially with the idea that they were so alone without anyone for company besides their bijuu. “W-what …. What is wrong with you?” He murmured with an uncomfortable tone in his voice, but Shukaku just looked at her with a strange curiosity. ” This one is a tricky one, Gaara. We should watch her carefully.” Shukaku spoke to his jinchuriki in private, while they quickly caught on to a familiar look that crossed her eyes in less than a moment.
It was a look that she had perfected and caused a glossy look to cross most jinchuuriki when they spoke in private to their bijuu. It was quick and easy to miss if you weren't looking at them right on, or weren't truly paying attention, but it did make the one-tailed duo buck up with a strange feeling falling over them.
The mother jinchuuriki pulled back to stand up and let out a short chortle from what her bijuu seemed to tell her to calm down and that there wasn't the time to play ‘adopt the jinchuuriki’. “Heh, forgive me. We haven't ever had visitors.” Rin played it off, before reaching down and seemingly rubbing her stomach for some reason, but Bee stepped in as time grew short.
“Okay, time to play baby sitter is over. We need to get out of here, Naruto!” Bee spoke to the young nine-tailed jinchuuriki, but seemingly excluded Rin from the whole ordeal. “Mmm, not until I'm done with my ramen.” He spoke high and mighty, but it was almost his second favorite thing in the world, next to Kurama and Rin. “We can get more later. Now isn't the time to eat anyway.” Gaara rebutted, only for all four jinchuuriki's attention to get pulled upward by a female voice yelling at them.
“You're not going anywhere!”
A sudden gust of wind started to suck into the deep side of the prison cell that had been previously blocked off to the jinchuuriki because of more seals, but suddenly started to suck them in one at a time. Even Naruto was separated from the rest of his ramen and was more distraught from that than anything else. They all grunted and attempted to keep from being blown off their feet, but none of the four jinchuuriki were able to keep them footing and were sucked away into the caves below.
Their bijuu were separated from their jinchuuriki as they were taken through the deep and hidden tunnels below Konohagakure, none of which even Rin knew about. The seven different beings fell and landed in different manners, but the three-tailed jinchuuriki ended up landing on her side with her legs and arms tucked into her chest as if she essentially became a ball. Her hardened skin, courtesy of Isobu, helped to protect her from any real damage to her body, but it didn't stop her from grumbling at the rough landing.
” Everyone all right?” Kurama questioned as they tried to get their bearings back, even Rin let out a small groan as she unfurled her body. A flame produced by his tails lit up the area and caught Rin's attention. “I didn't know you could create flames like that, Kurama. And I sure as heck didn't know the prison could pull us in like that. I just hope we don't have to fly like that again.” The mother jinchuuriki walked straight to Naruto and looked him over to make sure he was alright, even fixing his spikey blonde hair with the tips of her fingers.
“Where are we?” Gaara was questioned while Kurama stepped up closer to his jinchuuriki and the female. “We're somewhere below Konohagakure, but I have no idea where,” Rin answered and rested her hand on Naruto's cheek to double-check, only for him to grumble about his ramen, much to the amusement of his mother. “We will get you some more later, Kit. At least, you're alright.” She whispered, about to lean in again to smother him with some love, but pulled her head back when both Gaara and Bee were staring very strangely at the two.
Returning their looks with one of them, being of slight annoyance as if they wanted to say anything, Rin ran her hand through Naruto's hair and stood back up. “What's with the looks?” Rin questioned, without much of a look back at them, when she squatted down with her knees tight together to keep her skirt from riding up, and reached over toward the fox. He squinted at the touch and shook his head to show he wasn't in the mood, but Rin just gave a nod and turned to look at the other bijuu from over her shoulder. “We're not judging you, miss. We're not used to this sort of treatment from normal humans.” Another chuckle, and she shrugged toward the comments. “Eh, whoever is normal?” She didn't even correct, needing to resist the urge to investigate the bijuu further, but simply stood up, took steps, and offered Gaara her hand to help him up.
He glared at it rather warily, then looked her up and down, before grabbing her hand and being easily hoisted up on his feet as if he didn't weigh anything. He seemed to flinch when Rin did a repeat on Gaara with his hair as she did with Naruto. “Such pretty hair. Almost as red as a pure Uzumaki.” She whispered, but stopped when another glossy look crossed her eyes.
A misty sigh crossed her lips and another soft chortle, pulling back to move on to the next jinchuuriki. Gaara was speechless from the whole charade and seemed to look at Shukaku, who just shrugged at the strange habits of the kunoichi. ” There is something weird, but I don't think I don't like it, I guess.” Both one tailed duo felt so off from interacting with the female, but still couldn't figure out why…
Then she moved on to Bee, but he simply got up on his own so as not to rely on a random human. “It's okay! I'm as good as new, getting me down never turns me blue,” Bee rapped out, while Rin looked at Gyuki in passing, but not as many details as the other ones. “The name is Rin Nohara. By the way. You don't have to keep calling me miss.” She spoke out to the three men to try to get them more comfortable with them, but Naruto just tilted his head. “I can still call you mom, right, mom?” The nine-tailed jinchuuriki questioned, but Rin just gently nodded so as not to toy with such a… simple… question. “Yes, Naruto. You can still call me Mom.”
Killer Bee simply shook his head as politely as he could in the situation they were handled, but this had gone on long enough for his taste. “Rin, we can't take you with us. It's not safe, and besides, you couldn't keep up with us even if you tried, fool! You fool!” Rin crossed her arms again and hissed a bit, another thing to incorporate with having a reptilian bijuu as her comrade. “ Stop treating me like I'm not…” She had to stop herself and clinch to her stomach, before backing off from the two. “I'm not going anywhere without my son; nothing can keep us apart.”
Defending herself, the seven beings were suddenly blinded by a harsh light in the distance that burnt out the little flame from Kurama, and practically blinded all the jinchuuriki. “Augh! This is what we get for waiting with all this family nonsense.” Bee complained but good attention seemed to go elsewhere when the flashing from the lights weren't the only thing he seemed to be interested in getting flashed by.
“I can't believe I keep you two together out of pure respect for what you've done for the village in the past, Rin. And yet you attempt to escape with other jinchuuriki, and you think you can get away with it right under our noses?” The fifth Hokage yelled out in defiance to what the jinchuuriki team seemed to have planned, but they couldn't get too far with how long they seemed to linger.
They all looked surprised at the older blonde’s sudden appearance, but it only made Rin get closer to Naruto. The clear look of shame crossed her face, and she gently grasped onto Naruto's jacket sleeve to keep him close by. This was her only fear, and being separated from her son and Kurama was it. “Hello, Lady Tsunade.” She murmured and looked to the side while Naruto reached back to hold her hand, even patting her to try to reassure her. “Don't worry, Mom, Granny Tsunade isn't going to separate us, you know. I promise.” Rin wanted to believe it, but she was good for a reason. And Naruto was that one reason.
“And you two! Of course, other jinchuuriki and bijuu are attracted to other jinchuuriki. Like a moth to a flame. It's pathetic, and at this point, I think I should just keep you as Konoha jinchuuriki just to prove a point.” She threatened, both foreign jinchuuriki and bijuu getting defensive at the idea of being captured again, while Rin just grumbled again. “Isn't two enough? We skipped a war for a mistake in the past, and you want to try adding the other villages to that list?” She murmured so low, and yet Tsunade still caught on to the meaning behind her words.
“Don't start with me, young lady.” Only for Gaara to jump rather defensively at the offended words. “We won't let you capture us again. We all deserve our freedoms!” He yelled out, only to take note of how quiet the eight-tailed jinchuuriki was suddenly being. All the jinchuuriki turned to look at Killer Bee, only to see him staring directly at the Hokage. “Hey, what's wrong with you?”
“N-no bra…” He murmured a bit loudly, but the others didn't seem to catch on, except for the only other adult in the group, who was Rin. “Oh no…” She pinched her nose and looked down at her own chest, then at Tsunade a few times, only to laugh a small bit from the reaction. “Not every woman wears those…” Rin snorted as a female like herself didn't wear such pieces of clothing as they only seemed to burn up under the use of her bijuu chakra, but also really irritated her chidori scars as well. She preferred wrapping her chest to keep everything tight and protected, and bandages were much cheaper and easy to replace in the long run.
Looking questionably at his mother figure, Naruto looked between the eight-tailed jinchuuriki and the Hokage a few times. “Ah! Don't fall for her tricks to octopops. She's actually really old!” This earned him a not-so-soft bump on his forehead from the three-tailed jinchuuriki's knuckle, throwing him back a bit and grumbling from the discomfort. “Don't be rude. Older women deserve love, too.”
The whole conversation caused Bee so much embarrassment that he hid his lower face in his scarf and seemed to be focusing on the floor as if wanting to disappear.
And then it only got more ridiculous when Tsunade decided that gambling their freedom would be the best bet of action in this case. Holding out two dice between her fingers, Tsunade seemed excited about the concept. “A single round of odds or evens. Winner gets their freedom.”
“You want to gamble away our freedom?!” Gaara raised his voice and concern, even Shizune agreed with his pleas, but Rin just waved her hand to get his attention. ” She has really, really bad luck when it comes to gambling, so… take that as you will.” Rin whispered to the red head and pulled Naruto closer to her chest for a hug. Now wasn't the time or place for this, but the fear of losing him still lingered, and it was almost deliberating for the poor kunoichi.
Though Naruto grumbled in her arms, he was still allowed to look at Gaara and Bee, but shrugged from the tight hug. He could understand her fear, but he wouldn't let them get separated. Not his life.
Watching the way the mother jinchuuriki seemed so protective over the blonde jinchuuriki seemed to cause Gaara some slight, unknown feeling to rush over him. He even looked at Shukaku, who again just shrugged at the whole ordeal. ” Don't worry, Rin. I have a plan that could help.” Whispering back at him, Rin didn't look at him, only rubbing her chin against Naruto's head. ” Rin, we're not going anywhere without you. We promise you. So, please take it easy on Naruto.” Kurama wasn't surprised she didn't look his way, but they did watch as Shukaku changed his appearance to match the two dice that Tsunade had been carrying for such high stakes.
This pulled Rin's attention to the one-tailed jinchuuriki and kept an eye on the dice, only to tilt her head and smirk ever so slightly. “Yeah. That could work.” She whispered in approval, even with someone as observant as Shizune seeing the stunt they pulled, but she was quickly told to shut up by their leader.
While Gaara took a seat in front of a gambling mat, Tsunade loaded the bijuu dice into her cup and began to shake it rather furiously. Bee was still under Tsunade’s sexual appeal spell, and though Naruto was allowed to sit, Rin didn't leave his side for a second. Both Gaara and Rin were worried about how much she was shaking it, and Rin leaned over toward Kurama. “Maybe… I probably should have helped here. I don't think we would have gotten dizzy like he's going to be.” Rin whispered again, but Kurama just tilted his head back and forth. ” Even you two would have gotten sick, I'm afraid.”
While everyone was focused on the dice game, no one seemed to catch on to the subtle talks between the fox and turtle jinchuuriki. ” I want to play, yeah. Why do I have to hide, Rin?” Isobu questioned within her body, but Rin just patted his massive head within their shared mindscape. ” It's not safe with us being surrounded, family or not, so we can plan it so we gain our freedoms, alright, Iso? Besides, you can hang in the dimension. Just be a little patient, and I'll make it up to you.” Rin tried to butter up her bijuu, who easily fell for her kind offer and knew she was with it. He gave a nod, and the two just watched, even their future on the line.
Pulling up the cup resulted in a snake eyes that Gaara called even, meaning the group of jinchuurikis and bijuu had won their freedom for themselves!
Tsunade hung her head in shame at the loss, and Naruto seemed to be excited at the idea of being free for once. “Hell yes, we won!” Sadly, it was short-lived when the dice actually shook and transformed back into the one-tailed bijuu. “Aw, Shukaku. Poor guy.” Rin stepped up and rubbed his soft, sandy belly, but Tsunade looked rather confused about the whole ordeal.
“Huh? What's with the tanuki?”
“It's called cheating, ma'am.”
Luckily, a final ditch effort came in the form of Gyuki jumping over Shukaku and spewing a bunch of smoke into the air to cloud the cave and make escape easy. Rin pulled her hand back, stood up, and turned to see Gaara, Bee, and Naruto all standing up and making a run for it. Naruto needed to push Bee to get his mind to work again, “Come on, let's go! Use this time to escape.” Even the three bijuu ran in the smoke to follow their jinchuuriki, while Tsunade yelled for them to stop.
With all the chaos, Rin somehow was separated and truly didn't know her way in the stupid cave systems below the Leaf. These were tunnels that even the Root couldn't teach her about. Tsunade’s voice echoed down the wrong hall that the three-tailed jinchuuriki had run down, causing her to dip into her dimensional travel just to get out of the tunnels once and for all.
“Hey! Don't let them get away! We can't have four jinchuuriki running around the village! It's not safe!”
======
Transporting to the three-tailed bijuu's dimension, she walked her way through the bright and misty floor area only to quickly scoop up her tiny bijuu, who was just biding his time. “Your family is crazy, but it's not like we can't just follow Kurama's trail if we get separated. At least with Naruto being with the other two, they seem smart enough to be able to protect him in the long run. So I guess that's a bonus.” Rin tried to be optimistic about the whole ordeal, but right now they were breaking more rules in recent years than she could ever remember.
” Kurama and Gyuki are threats by themselves, so you are correct. Together, there is no one who takes them in, and I doubt they would stick around the village, nor cause any extra trouble, yeah. Gyuki isn't that type, and Kurama seems in a good mood to listen to this Bee guy, hm.” Isobu felt himself twirling in the air before Rin just placed him on her shoulder. “Lady Tsunade is not going to let this slide, though. There is no way she will let us go so easily, not with everything I know and how powerful Naruto and Kurama are.”
Thinking of their next move, Rin scratched her shoulder of the chidori scars that seemed to be acting up from all the added stress of the past little bit, even taking a small note of how erratic her heart seemed to be from jumping a simple dimension jump. At this point in their connected lives, dimension-hopping was like breathing, but something just felt off for the two. “I wonder what they even wanted from Kurama and Naruto? They come from opposite sides of the map, so there is no way Shukaku and Gyuki’s jinchuuriki had any connection before I'm assuming Bee broke the one-tailed duo out.”
The three tails duo pondered, but Isobu just shook his body. ” I want to go swimming and eat as many fish as we can, yeah.” A level of excitement for the free duo washed over them and caused Rin to chortle. “Alright, you've earned it. But let's find Kurama and Naruto, along with the others, to see if they are alright. Plus. I need to know what they plan on doing. I hate being in the dark.”
Placing the bijuu back on the floor, Rin waved toward her tiny bijuu and teleported back to the real world, finding herself at the complete opposite direction of the other three bijuu and jinchuuriki at the base of the Hokage Rock.
“Now, where did they go?”
