Enchanted To Meet You

Summary:

Isagi, Yukimiya, Kurona and Hiori spend together in summer festival during the break after NEL.

Notes:

When I listened to Taylor Swift's "Enchanted", I thought of Yukki and Isagi as well as reading Wind Breaker manga chap 180. I've always wanted to write this fanfic but I was too busy lol. Finally, I managed to write this. Ofc, I cannot ditch my Hiori and Kurona coz they deserve to be in my ykis fanfic.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Isagi, Kurona and Hiori were at the summer festival, enjoying their break from Blue Lock after Ego gave them three weeks off. (Hiori- half-sleeve hoodie and jeans, Isagi-half-sleeve hoodie layered over a t-shirt and long pants, Kurona- t-shirt and jeans)

Hiori glanced around. “Has anyone seen Yukki?”

“Where is he?” Kurona asked as he was looking left and right.

“You know what? I’ll just text him,” Isagi pulled out his phone.

Before he could type, Yukimiya appeared behind them. He was dressed in a button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up and long pants. “Sorry for making you guys wait.”

Isagi’s cheeks flushed the moment he saw him. Yukimiya wasn’t wearing his glasses?!

“Yukki, what happened to your glasses?” Hiori asked.

“Wait, did your eyesight finally get better?” Kurona added excitedly.

“Not exactly,” Yukimiya replied. “Since we’re not playing any intense matches, I figured I’d give my eyes a break. I brought my glasses in case my vision gets blurry again.”

He paused, then looked at Isagi. “Wait… why is Isagi’s face all red?”

“Uh…” Isagi stammered as he was clearly flustered.

Hiori and Kurona exchanged looks and grinned mischievously.

“Don’t tell me Yukki’s too handsome for you without his glasses?” Hiori teased as he was nudging him.

“Come on, just tell him he’s cute!” Kurona laughed, patting Isagi on the back.

“Guys… stop it…” Isagi squeaked, his face turning a deeper shade of red.

Yukimiya smirked and stepped closer to him. “Aww, Isagi, am I too good for you without my glasses? You’re looking at me like I’m a movie star,” he grabbed Isagi’s shoulder.

“Y-you… ahhh…” Isagi could barely speak.

“Alright, alright,” Yukimiya chuckled. “I’ll put them back on—don’t want to distract poor Isagi all day.” He winked and slipped his glasses on.

“That was adorable, Isagi!” Kurona teased again.

“Stop it…” Isagi muttered but still blushing.

“Okay, let’s enjoy the summer festival!” Yukimiya was leading the way as the four of them walked into the festival grounds.

---

As they entered the main street of the summer festival, colorful lights and laughter filled the air.

“Woah, there are so many shops!” Isagi’s eyes sparkled.

“I’ve never been to a summer festival before... This is mesmerizing,” Hiori murmured, looking around in awe.

“Seriously, Hiori,” Yukimiya said with a gentle smile, “you should come here more often.”

“I know, right?” Hiori chuckled. “Maybe I’ll bring Karasu next time.”

“You bet,” Yukimiya grinned. “So, where do you guys wanna go first?”

Just then, Isagi and Kurona stopped, staring intently at a nearby yukata shop.

“I wanna wear that! Let’s go, let’s go!” Kurona cheered.

“Me too, Kurona!” Isagi agreed, practically bouncing.

“Well, you two go ahead and try some on,” Yukimiya was amused.

“Can’t wait to see both of you in yukata,” Hiori added with a smirk.

With wide smiles, Isagi and Kurona dashed toward the shop, already talking about colors and patterns.

A few minutes later,

Isagi and Kurona stepped out of the shop, each adjusting their new yukata.

Isagi wore a deep blue one with white accents, while Kurona’s was a light pink with a subtle pattern.

“Aww, you two look cute in those!” Hiori said with a soft smile.

“It’s so adorable,” Yukimiya said with a wink. “Right, Isagi?”

“Ye-yeah…” Isagi mumbled, blushing as he avoided eye contact.

Kurona laughed. “Isagi’s gone full shy mode again.”

“Honestly, you both pull off the look really well,” Yukimiya added. “Now I feel underdressed.”

“You should’ve joined us,” Kurona teased. “Matching couple moment?”

Isagi turned even redder. “K-Kurona!”

Yukimiya smirked. “Next time. I’ll save a yukata just for you, Isagi.”

---

The group wandered deeper into the summer festival, colorful lanterns lighting the way and the sounds of laughter and cheerful music filling the air.

“Let’s try some games!” Kurona pointed ahead excitedly.

“Ring toss!” Hiori's eyes lighting up as he spotted the booth.

He stepped forward with focused. “Watch this.”

Hiori tossed the rings one by one with calm precision. On his final throw, the ring landed perfectly around the prize pole.

“Nice one, Hiori!” Isagi clapped with a grin.

“You make it look too easy,” Kurona added.

“Alright, my turn,” Yukimiya said confidently as they approached the shooting darts stall.

“Yukimiya, are you sure you’re gonna pull that off?” Isagi asked as he raising an eyebrow.

“What? I’m blind, huh?” Yukimiya shot him a playful smirk.

He picked up a dart, narrowed his eyes at the plush prizes on the shelf and with precise aim, it knocked down the target on his very first try.

“Whaaat?!” Kurona shouted.

“No way, first try?” Hiori laughed.

“Damn, Yukki!” Isagi added as they all clapped and cheered.

The stall owner handed Yukimiya a fluffy shark plushie. Yukimiya turned to Kurona and smiled.

“Here. This one’s yours.”

Kurona blinked and was surprised, then lit up. “For me? Aww, thanks, Yukki!”

Meanwhile, Isagi had wandered over to the traditional goldfish scooping game. He crouched by the tank, brows furrowed, carefully dipping the delicate paper scooper into the water.

“Be gentle, Isagi,” Yukimiya called teasingly from behind.

“I know what I’m doing,” Isagi replied, tongue sticking out in concentration. But on his second attempt, the paper tore—and the fish darted away.

“Ahh, man…” Isagi sighed.

“You tried,” Hiori chuckled, giving him a pat on the back.

They spent a little more time playing different festival games, their hands gradually filling with small prizes and snacks on sticks.

---

Eventually, their stomachs growled.

“Okay, I’m starving,” Kurona was hugging his shark plushie.

“Same here,” Hiori nodded.

“Let’s grab food,” Isagi's eyes scanning for stalls.

They brought yakisoba, takoyaki, taiyaki and chilled fruit drinks from the festival stalls. Finding a quiet spot near the lantern-lit path, the four of them sat together and began munching on their food.

Hiori and Isagi were both digging into their yakisoba, steam rising from the noodles as they chatted between bites. Yukimiya sipped casually from his fruit drink while Kurona took a delighted bite of his taiyaki, red bean filling oozing out slightly.

Later, only three pieces of takoyaki remained. Hiori and Kurona had already finished theirs, leaving the last few for Isagi and Yukimiya to share.

They each took one. Only one takoyaki ball was left in the box.

“You take that, Yukki,” Isagi offered, glancing at him.

“No, it’s all yours,” Yukimiya replied, shaking his head.

“Are you sure?” Isagi looked at him with concerned.

“I’m full, Isagi,” Yukimiya smiled.

Isagi nodded and popped the last piece into his mouth, cheeks puffed slightly as he chewed.

Just then, Hiori stood up. “Guys, Kurona and I are gonna check out the other side of the stalls. We’ll catch you two around midnight, alright?”

“Sure,” Isagi and Yukimiya said in unison.

“See ya! See ya!” Kurona waved enthusiastically as he held Hiori’s hand,  disappearing into the crowd of festival-goers.

---

After Hiori and Kurona left, Isagi and Yukimiya wandered further down the path, away from the crowded festival grounds. The noise faded behind them as they reached a quiet lake shimmering under the moonlight. Lanterns floated on the water’s surface, their reflections gently swaying with the ripples.

They stood side by side, watching the stillness.

“…Do you ever think about what’s next for us?” Isagi asked softly.

Yukimiya glanced at him. “You mean… after Blue Lock?”

“Yeah,” Isagi nodded. “What happens if one of us becomes the final striker?”

Yukimiya exhaled, then looked out over the lake. “If that happens…it's the end for us, I guess. Honestly, I want us to still be together. Teammates. Partners while staying in Blue Lock.” He turned to Isagi. “You changed my life, you know. Before you, I was just chasing my dream alone. But now… I’ve found my ego because of you.”

Isagi blinked and was taken aback.

Yukimiya smiled, more genuine than ever. “You challenged me, pushed me, made me believe in something more than just myself. And I’m grateful, Isagi. I wouldn’t have made it this far without you.”

Isagi’s heart tightened. “I feel the same. You’re not just a teammate, Yukki. You’ve supported me in ways no one else has. Always backing me up...even when I'm in doubt.”  He stepped closer, his cheeks flushed a gentle pink. “It’s… enchanted to meet you. I’m glad you’re… here.”

Yukimiya’s eyes softened as he watched Isagi, warmth blooming in his chest. A light blush dusted his cheeks. “Me too,”

Their eyes met, holding the moment in silence.

Isagi reached out and gently wrapped his arms around Yukimiya’s shoulders.

Yukimiya then wrapped his arms around Isagi’s waist, drawing him in.

They pressed their lips together.

Later, as they leaned back, fireworks burst above the lake, their colors reflecting on the water and lighting up their faces.

Hiori and Kurona returned just then, both looking up.

Yukimiya’s eyes sparkled as he whispered, “It’s beautiful.”

“I love this view,” Hiori added, smiling softly.

“Boom! Boom!” Kurona cheered, mimicking the fireworks with a grin.

Isagi, still holding Yukimiya’s hand, looked up and said, “It’s amazing.”

They all stood together, watching the sky light up: a perfect end to a perfect summer night.

As the fireworks slowly faded from the sky, Hiori glanced over at Isagi and Yukimiya who were still standing close, hands brushing, faces slightly red but smiling.

Kurona noticed too and smirked. “What exactly did we miss while we were gone?”

Isagi nearly jumped. “W-what? Nothing! We were just—watching the fireworks!”

“Sure, fireworks,” Hiori said as he was folding his arms with a knowing look. “Totally not the emotional heart-to-heart followed by a kiss kind of fireworks.”

Isagi's entire face turned bright red. “H-Hiori!!”

Yukimiya chuckled. “They’re not wrong.”

Kurona gasped dramatically. “No way. You actually kissed?! You really kissed?! And we missed it?!”

“You don’t have to scream it to the whole festival,” Isagi mumbled, trying to hide his face in his hands.

Hiori grinned and leaned over to Kurona. “Told you they’d finally confess tonight.”

Kurona nodded. “Yep. We should’ve left them alone sooner. Maybe they’d already be planning the wedding.”

“Guys!” Isagi groaned.

Yukimiya laughed softly and gave Isagi a gentle nudge. “Don’t worry, Isagi. I think it’s sweet.”

Isagi peeked at him through his fingers. “…You’re enjoying this way too much.”

“Can you blame me?” Yukimiya smirked. “I finally got my moment with you.”

Hiori smiled warmly. “Looks like You two were meant for each other.”

Despite the teasing, Isagi’s blush softened into a smile. He looked at Yukimiya and gently squeezed his hand. “Yeah… we do.”

As the last of the fireworks faded into the night sky, the four of them stood close, laughing, teasing and feeling more connected than ever.

Notes:

Seriously, love both yukisagi and hiyk(hiori, isagi, yukimiya, kurona). I love the firework part tbh.
