"Sir, they changed the details of the meeting at the last minute"
Tutor's personal bodyguard announced, it made a frown to appear on his face.
"When is it rescheduled?" Tutor asked impatiently, this meeting is very important, a lot is at stake.
"Tomorrow night, also Kun Pharinyakorn wanted to let you know the new heir will join the meeting" His bodyguard Meen added.
Way too many changes in the last minute, something felt off. He can't let their agreement to change. He needs to think about all the possibilities that can happen tomorrow and find a way to get what he planned. He needs Thomas.
"You wanted to see me Phi?"
Thomas asked the moment he entered his big brother's office. Tutor's signaled him to take a sit after telling their bodyguards to give them some privacy.
"Something feels off about the Pharinyakorn's. They changed the meeting in the last minute and informed it will be the first time the heir will join" He said to his younger brother. He always shared his deepest thoughts and worries with Thomas, he's the only one he can trust fully.
"They've never done it before" Thomas agreed and arranged his thoughts for a few seconds, leaning his chin on his fingers.
"They must have decided to let the heir into the business, it's more likely that you'll meet with him and not with the father" Thomas said convinced, observing his brother's frown getting even deeper.
That was one of the worst things he expected to happen at some point, but not this soon. The family never mentioned anything about their son that was related to business, only showed him off at big parties. Tutor always saw him from afar, never paid much attention because he had to act nice in front of people that actually mattered to him and his company.
"Why are you so worried about it? I know it's unexpected but it's going to be his first time, I doubt he can do something big enough to trouble us" Thomas tried to cheer up his brother and to ease his thoughts, this meeting is important to them and can change things for worse if it goes wrong.
"We can never be sure" Tutor replied, he has a lot of scenarios in his head and hoped they won't occur.
"Anything new about them?" Tutor changed the subject, he wanted to know if their people found new details about their brothers.
"Not yet, we know they are still in the city but not more than that" Thomas answered and tried his best not to lose his temper even just for a little.
He didn't understand how Tutor can still be worried after all they have done to them. When their parents died they were broken, always in their house or at their parent's grave not moving from their side. The only one who recoverd fast and sacrificed everything for them to keep being one of the biggest families in the market was Tutor.
Meanwhile, Keng always went against Tutor's moves and ideas, he even managed to turn Latte against him and even Thomas for a short while. Luckily, Thomas came back to his senses and tried to understand his incomprehensible behavior and where it was coming from but he couldn't. A month ago they found out Keng and Latte left including a few of their workers with a simple note behind.
"See you soon"
What did it mean? No one knew the exact answer. But Thomas and Tutor knew they were going to meet again and not under good circumstances.
Pharinyakorn's Company
Yim is sitting in his office chair, studying the material in front of him about the Koraphat family for their meeting tomorrow. He wanted to know every single detail about their agreement with his family. He needs to be ready and to prove himself, it's the first time he's going to handle a meeting and he won't let it fail.
He didn't understand a few things and decided to talk about it with his father later, he would like to change a few things that can benefit them. He's not going to make life easy for them.
He tried to remember the family but couldn't even remember their first names. They must have been present at their family and social events, maybe Kong will remember.
"Kong, come here for a second" He called him from his office phone, after a few seconds his younger cousin came in.
"Yes cousin?" Kong asked standing at the door, looks like he's in the middle of something.
"I need you to help me remember something" Yim said and read again the family name. He sucks at remembring names.
"About who?" Kong took a seat in front of him, took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. This paper work will kill him someday, he was sure of it.
"Do you remember the Koraphat family?" Yim asked and tried to find their first names this time.
"Of course, how can you not remember such handsome men?" Kong chuckled and tried to remember one particular face among the four brothers.
"What the hell Kong? I didn't know you were into old and creepy men" Yim was surprised and couldn't control his disgusted expression.
"What? Are you dumb? They are super young" Kong laughed, how the hell is he supposed to be the heir if he didn't know the freaking Koraphat family?
He saw Yim still didn't have the slightest idea about who they are.
"They are four brothers, the eldest one is running the company. He's twenty four years old just like you" Kong informed, seeing Yim being even more shocked.
"Their parents were murdured when he was about fourteen. Since then, he is in charge and the other three brothers help him, and let me say that the third brother is insanly hot" Kong said dreamily, he couldn't forget the first time he layed his eyes on him.
"I don't care how young or handsome they are. All I care is how we can benefit more from them and how we are going to stay above them" Yim said with his strict and serious voice. If their heir is young as well, it won't necessarily be easier, he has to prepare for every possible situation

Tutor was surrounded by his bodyguards as he entered the building of the Pharinyakorn's company. In fact, it's another changed detail- usually the meetings are held in their private house. That's why Meen was asked to be far more cautious this time.
Thomas wanted to attend the meeting but Tutor decided it was best to stay out of it, if he's really going to meet the new heir alone he'd rather handle it by himself. Thomas didn't give up easily, he ended up coming but staying behind at the waiting area on that floor. He wanted to be nearby in case something went wrong. After all, this legal businees is just a backup story for what they really do.
The Pharinyakorn's are part of an impressive Mafia line, only they became smarter and started to build an act to cover up all the shady things they were doing. Only very few partners of theirs knew about them, solely because they are on the same boat.
On the contrary, the Koraphat brothers never tried to hide it, they have so many connections that it's the last thing to worry their mind. Tutor sacrificed his life for this at the time. If he hadn't agreed to their uncle's offer, he would have taken everything they had. He was just waiting for the moment when their family would fall to take advantage of it.
They arrived at the designated place. A bodyguard was already waiting for them at the entrance with two other guards not far away. Tutor waited for their bodyguards to check up on his so they could come in to start the meeting, but they didn't budge. He raised his eyebrow over their act, which doesn't usually happen. Another surprise.
"Mr. Pharinyakorn wants to meet you only." The guard in front of them stated. Tutor chuckled.
"If that's a problem, the meeting is canceled."
That damn bastard. Who does he think he is? Tutor made a sign for his guards to move aside, but Meen stood still.
"Sir, I think it's way too-"
"I know, I have no choice. Just stay here and try to be aware" Tutor cut him off, he has nothing to do even if he wanted to. He needed to get out of here with zero casualties.
The guard checked Tutor all over, after making sure he was clean he opened the door to let him in.
Thomas was in the waiting area of that floor. He's been fidgeting in his chair, it's already been forty minutes. He guessed the meeting was not going smoothly as it used to be. In most of their meetings they closed the deal within the first 15 minutes, then there's a short small talk while they're drinking and that's it.
Ohm, his personal bodyguard almost lost it from sitting and not doing anything. He told him to go get himself a cup of coffee to calm down, he refused to Ohm's offer to bring him anything. After a few more seconds of convincing Ohm that it's okay for him to stay alone for a few minutes he made his way. He didn't want anything other then seeing his big brother coming out of that room smiling.
"Can I offer you a cup of cofee?"
Thomas turned his head to look over his shoulder. A woman dressed as a secretary suggested, her voice was seductive and too colorful.
"No, thank you" He declined as nicely as he can, even though his face is emotionless and he turend his head to his phone right away without waiting for a response. That's him trying to be nice.
"If you need anything don't hesitate to call me, I'll give you anything you need" She said and he could still feel her behind him.
What the hell is wrong with her? Oh, he forgot he's at the Pharinyakorn's company, no wonder they have such employees. After a few more seconds without a reply, he didn't feel her very disturbing presence.
"Hi there, can I help you with anything?" He heard another employee asking him and his very small amount of patience was over.
"What is wrong with you all? Can't you just let me seat here in peace?" Thomas growled, rolling his eyes, still not bothering to look up.
"Well, that's rude" He heard someone saying now closer to him. He looked up and saw a quite tall figure (not taller than him) with glasses standing right in front of him crossing his arms.
"I can say the same thing. In less than a minute, two employees in this place have already hitting up on me, you are one of them by the way" Thomas stated the obvious, looking at Kong with cold eyes.
"I'm sorry to break it down to you, but I wasn't hitting up on you. I'm the head of the Company's Accounting Department and the cousin of the new heir, it's my duty to try to help you" Kong said with a smirk, he knew he was getting on his nerves. Who knew this brother could be even hotter when he's angry?
"Oh, really?" Thomas now stood up to be on his level, he made sure their bodies won't touch but at the same time was the closest to him. Kong looked at him straight in the eyes not backing up, challenging him. Thomas chuckled.
"You're a brave one, didn't think someone here was a decent rival." Thomas said scanning the younger from head to toe. Before Kong could think about something to say, Thomas already made his way to his cousin's office.
Thomas made his way to the office his older brother had entered some time ago. When he almost reached his destination, the door opened and from there Tutor quickly exited, as the guards tried to keep up with him. When he stood in front of him, he just looked at him without saying anything. Thomas understood that they would already talk about it at home.
Chapter Text
Yim sat in his office chair, waiting for Tutor's arrival. He was introduced to him as the CEO of one of the most successful companies in the field. He still couldn't understand how such a young man had managed to reach this status, especially after his parents left the picture at such a young age.
He knew how much his father liked this guy. This is also the reason why until now their deal was unprofitable for their side. At least that's what he thinks. He hasn't told his father what he plans to do, but he's sure he'll let him do whatever he wants as long as he proves himself and makes the company profitable.
He heard whispers through the door, apparently the young man whose name preceded him had arrived. When the door opened, Yim thought he was hallucinating. He looks so young and... attractive. He is not used to other young people in such a position besides him. But he's definitely not going to make life easy for him. He will see how good he really is, as they say.
"You can take a sit" He suggested after the door closed, gesturing with his hand.
The way he sat down conveyed strength, confidence and sharpness. Tutor sat down with his leg resting on the other. He rested his chin on the palm of his hand and looked the young heir straight into the eyes. As if he were testing him.
"You must be surprised after all the changes made at the last minute, Mr. Koraphat" He said with a mysterious smile, he knew the young man was sure to be surprised. That was the goal.
Tutor smiled back and moved his hand from his chin, he intertwined his hands in his lap.
"It was expected to happen, not so early but I am always prepared for any scenario" He replied and it seemed that nothing could move him from his composure. It annoyed the young heir.
"I'm happy to hear that, this way you can adapt to the changes without any problem" Yim smirked, trying to notice any sudden change in the other's expression.
"Changes? Let's hear them out" Tutor challenged, not letting any slip of surprised expression to control his face.
"I know you've been doing business with my father until now, but with me it's going to be different." Yim stated with a serious face, letting go of all the smirks and tests he attempted to make. The statement caused Tutor to raise an eyebrow.
"From now on, you will not receive fifty percent for your share of the deal as always. You'll get thirty percent." Yim said as firmly as he could. All he got in response was a laugh in his face. This caused his hands to clench into a fist.
"It's clear that you don't know what business you're getting into. There's a reason why this part is my profit in the deal. You don't know how to do it and my people do in the best way, your father had many others who tried but failed miserabley" Tutor replied in a harsh tone, he really tried to collect himslef. This young heir's audacity is insane. You can see he's a spoiled brat.
"It has been a long time since then, you can be sure that I will be able to find someone else for this job. In fact, I already have candidates for this in case I need to"
It sounded like a threat to Tutor's ears. If there was something he wasn't willing to shut up and submit to, it was when someone threatened him.
"Be my guest. We'll see if someone will be able to handle it." Tutor replied with a smile that didn't match his eyes. Even though he smiled his eyes were dark and full of anger.
"I guess our paths will part ways from now on. If you change your mind feel free to let me know" Yim said with a smile, standing up and reaching out his hand. Tutor stood up and shook his hand with a strong grip.
"The same goes for you" He was determined not to give this spoiled man the feeling that he had won.
Chapter Text
Thomas didn't know how or why, but he just knew it had to do with them. It's not that they really have a better solution, Mr. Pharinyakorn always got along with them and was satisfied with their work. He suggested Tutor to set up a meeting with Mr. Pharinyakorn alone. That heir bastard can't just come out of nowhere and ruin everything for them.
"His secretary said he is only available tomorrow. I won't be able to come, I have to go and close a deal in Pattaya with Meen" Tutor sighed, signing documents as they are speaking. Suddenly he stopped and looked at his little brother, It seemed as if he had been enlightened.
"You should go instead" Tutor said, and after he had finished signing the last document, he put the pile of documents aside. Giving all of his attention to Thomas.
"Me? Going to talk with Mr. Pharniyakorn alone?" Thomas pointed at himself with a raised brow. He did have understading in those matters, he attended important meetings with Tutor but it was always Tutor and Keng making the big deals.
"Yes. You know the business better than anyone else, I trust you" Tutor stated firmly, making eye contact to prove that he was confident in this decision.
"Keng is no longer here to help me, even though he would do anything but help if we admit it. You were always by my side and you studied and watched, your time has come to be completly involved" Tutor said with a light smile, showing Thomas how much he trusts him and knows that he would do well.
At the Pharniyakorn's Company
Kong was not only the head of the company's accounting department and responsible for hiding the illegal businesses. He was also the unofficial secretary of his spoiled cousin and sometimes of Mr. Pharinyakorn as well. When their secretaries don't do the job properly, he suffers from it in the end.
The secretary of Mr. Pharinyakorn had to go to an urgent case, so now he had the responsibility of receiving the people who needed to come to the meetings by the end of the day. He looked at the calendar on his computer to see who was coming soon and his eyes opened wide. Thomas Khorapat. Alone. Without his big brother.
But the momentary enthusiasm turned into an instant apprehension. He noticed that Mr. Mark Sorntast is on the list. Mark's father is the closest friend and ally of Mr. Pharinyakorn and his own father. They have the strongest alliance since he can remember himself. Mark is older than Kong in a few years and in the industry for a long time. He used to treat Kong well, until he turned twenty and entered the business two years ago. That's where the incessant harassment and comments arrived.
It began with small remarks about how good he looks. At first he didn't attach importance to it, he really thought he was just complimenting him wholeheartdly. But when he started to touch him and look at him in a way that started to make Kong feel uncomfortable he knew it was something else. He tried to shrug him off gently, everytime he touched him he immediately moved but nothing helped.
When he tried to talk about it with his father, he simply replied that Kong was imagining. He always loved Mark like the son he never had. Kong was never a warrior, he preferred not to go deep into all the business of his uncle and father. He had no choice and had to continue his father as the only son. That's why he became an accountant, it's his father's cover story along taking care of other things that relate to Mr. Pharinyakorn. Since the beginning Kong decided that he's not going to do Illegal things, not that hiding them is legal, but he insisted on not being part of the people who carry out these cases. As long as he can at least.
He knew that no matter what he said about Mark, his father and Yim's father would do nothing. They loved him too much, his great job in the company holds a big success and benefit for them. And another things is, they will never dare to go against Mark's father.
A few minutes later, one of the guards on the floor arrived to announce Thomas's arrival. Kong got up from his chair and closed the button on his suit as he prepared for his arrival.
"Welcome Mr. Thomas, follow me" Kong received him politely, leading him with his two bodyguards.
Thomas was just as quiet as the last time he was here. He just followed with no questions.
"You can come in, Mr. Pharinyakorn will be here soon" Kong said with a small smile, he could feel that Thomas was a little nervous. The fact Mr. Pharinyakorn never waited for someone in the office and always made sure they waited for him probably didn't help. He also knew how his cousin planned to mess with them and figured the meeting today was important.
"Good luck" Kong added right before Thomas entered, the elder just nodded at him and made his way inside.
"Hi there, pretty boy"
Hell, he forgot about this. He glanced at his wristwatch, it has been an hour since Thomas entered. In a few minutes it's Mark's appointment.
He looked up and saw Mark leaning with his hands on his table, looking at him like a prey with an annoying smile.
"I told you not to call me like that. You can go and sit over there until it's your turn" Kong said and tried to sound like he's not bothered by his presence. Even though inside, he really wants to run away because if Mark feels brave, he'll do whatever he wants without caring about who's around.
"I like it when you're bossy" Mark said smirking, luckily the door at the end of the hall opened and Thomas got out along Mr. Pharinyakorn. He immediately rushed over to them, reaching when they shook their hands.
"It was a pleasure to meet you Thomas, I hope to see you next time with Mr. Tutor" Mr. Pharinyakorn said with a smile.
"Thank you, it was my pleasure" Thomas answered in a serious tone, shaking his hand firmly.
"Kong, I need to go to your father for something urgent, please tell Mark to wait for a bit. Keep him company" Mr. Pharinyakorn said and without waiting for a response made his way to the floor above them.
Kong felt Thomas' gaze in his direction, he planned on saying something but when he noticed Mark coming to them he stopped and froze in place.
"Baby boy, is it my turn yet?" Mark asked and stood way too close to him.
"Mr. Pharinyakorn needed to go to my father, he said you should wait. And I'll say it again, I told you not to call me by names" Kong again, tried to fight back and took a few steps away from him, he didn't notice he was almost stepping on Thomas who stood behind him.
Thomas sensed what's happening, he never cared about other people's affairs. But when he saw situations where someone was abusing his authority over someone else, he could never ignore it. He knew that Kong had a high position here, but he didn't know who the other person was. And honestly? He didn't care.
"I know that you like it baby, stop playing hard to get we both know I'll get what I want in the end" Mark said with the same smirk that never leaves his face, stepping closer to Kong and it looked like he was not going to stop himself.
Kong didn't know what to do, Mark always managed to show him he could be more shameless. He tried to think fast but before he could come up with something he felt himself being pulled backwards.
"Excuse me, but who the fuck are you?" Thomas asked after grabbing Kong's arm and leading him to stand behind him.
Kong was shocked.

"Excuse me, but who the fuck are you?" Thomas asked after grabbing Kong's arm and leading him to stand behind him.
Mark looked caught off guard for a second, looking at Thomas as if he grew another head.
"And you are?" Mark asked back, he looked angry but tried not to lash out. He put his hands in his pockets, as if trying to restrain himself from holding back.
"I'm someone who's not going to be a bystander and ignore your pathetic behavior" Thomas said in his low, foraml tone. When Mark tried to take a good look at Kong he moved so he could block his sight.
"Again, who the hell are you to lecture me? You look like a high schooler, yet you have the guts to threaten me? Wrong move buddy, you are way out of my league" Mark smirked and took one step closer to him. How Kong wished he could just punch him in the face and made that smirk to vanish.
"Listen, I don't play these games. I'm just saying that you better back off. You are forcing yourself over someone that even a blind person can see that he's clearly not interested" Thomas didn't even flinch from him, his facial expression stayed the same since the beginning.
"You really don't know who I am, don't you? I am-"
"Even though I asked, I don't really give a fuck who you are" Thomas said raising his voice just a little, how he hated that kind of people.
When Mark was about to lash out, Mr. Pharinyakorn came back.
"Oh Thomas you are still here, is everything okay?" He asked confused, it's been ten minutes since their meeting.
"Yes, I'm on my way out" Thomas answered, assuring everything is fine.
"Come on in, son" Mr. Pharinyakorn put his arm around Mark who made sure to throw a death stare at Thomas before both of them entered the office.
"Thank you" Kong thanked him sincerely.
"No worries, he seems like a guy who needs a good beating. I bet everyone compliments and treats him way more than he deserve" Thomas said in a huff, making eye contact with Kong without looking away.
"If it needed give him a punch in the face. I'm sure he's not that high with his position than you are" Thomas added and made his way with his bodyguards towards the exit.
Koraphat Mension
Tutor's head is about to explode. He has never experienced such long negotiations about a deal. It felt like everything he tried to do this week had failed. He always thought luck was on his side, but now he's starting to doubt it.
Tutor walked into his office and poured a glass of whiskey before sitting down in his chair. He massaged his temple, trying to relieve the headache that was attacking him.
"I need you to find out the information about the deal they tried to make with them" Tutor asked Meen who nodded and got out of the office to start investigate.
It turnes out that the Pharinyakorns tried to make a deal with the same company. And somehow, they wanted to buy the exact building he aimed for. The Pharinyakorn's company is diverse, they were taking action in a few different fields while Tutor was focused on real estate. He was trying to purchase the asset half a year ago but had to wait for the right time so it could have a better profit, the time has come and the moment he was about to seal the deal he had to increase the amount of the price after the bid the Pharinyakorns suggested in the last minute.
He wasn't sure what is the reason Mr. Pharinyakorn all of a sudden decided to mess with them. Maybe he really did let the heir to take over the company all at once? He hoped Thomas could settle things today at the meeting.
Tutor and Thomas are on their way to a very important event. Both dressed in black suits, which over time became the identifying mark of their family. This meeting was held every year by Max Kornthas, who is on the list of the ten richest people in Thailand. This family is known to own businesses in every possible field, but their main business is real estate like the Koraphat family. He always invites the ten most successful companies in the market that year along business partners. It's not a business meeting, but this meeting is meant to mark status and maintain connections.
After Thomas told Tutor about the meeting yesterday, he was more determined to be present at today's meeting. Thomas confronted Mr. Pharinyakorn about the changes his son decided to make, Mr. Pharinyakorn in return assured that for him they are still the best in the field and had no problems with them. The problem was that he wanted to let his son make changes and see if he can prove himself. Also after his son came up with reasons for how unprofitable their deal is for them and how much profit there could be if they changed the strategy, Mr. Pharinyakorn decided to let him handle it.
After reaching their destination they got out of the car, their bodyguards surrounded them until they reached the entrance of the building. One of the secretaries entered with them to the elevator and escorted them until they reached the long-awaited floor, the event took place in one of the skyscrapers they own.
Tutor immediately began greeting people and talking to them. Thomas always hated this part, in those moments he was relieved he wasn't the CEO in their family. After greeting a few business partners with his brother he decided to go aside to get them drinks. He looked around while seeping his own, scanning the people attending this year. He saw familiar faces, most of them are their partners or acquaintances with whom they have made deals in the past.
Among the people who were walking around, he suddenly noticed the guy he had run into a week ago at the Pharinyakorn's company. The one who bothered the heir's cousin, he learned that day that his name was Kong. Now it all made sense, this guy thinks the sun is shining from his ass just because he's from a prestigious family.
Thomas intended to take Tutor's drink and go to him, but stopped when he saw the heir walking towards him, he looked like someone who's trying to make trouble.
Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Chapter Text
Tutor was in the middle of a conversation with an old business partner when the heir walked up to him with a mysterious smile and a glass of wine in his hand. He did not stop the conversation even though he noticed his arrival, it made the heir wait nervously which was not so visible. But Tutor didn't miss the way his eyes were clenching and his leg drumming on the floor.
His business partner noticed Yim, which prompted him to congratulate him briefly and end the conversation between them. It was only the two of them now in the middle of the room, Tutor only looked at him unbothered, getting his hands in his pockets to emphasize how unmoved he is by his presence.
"Hello Mr. Koraphat" Yim greeted with an annoying smirk, it felt like he was testing Tutor's patiance and limits every encounter they have.
Tutor only looked at him with a raised brow, he decided no to speak unless he had to. He had already realized that his goal was to attract attention and make him look bad in the eyes of his father. Although now they have kind of separated ways, Tutor didn't like to completely break alliances right away. He has a reputation to maintain, he can't descend to the level of a spoiled young man whose father serves him everything on a silver plate like the one in front of him.
"You know, it's really rude not to answer your colleague" Yim still tried to remain composed, looks like someone can't stand people ignoring him.
"You and I are not colleagues, I only did business with your father as far as I can remember" Tutor answered with a soft tone, he was smart enough not to be too rude yet still being able to get on his nerves.
Yim wanted to answer him, but before he could do so, Thomas decided to come and handed his older brother a glass of whiskey. He only nodded at the heir, not bothering to greet him properly. His blood is boiling every time he sees someone from this company.
"Hi there, long time no see" Mr. Pharinyakorn greeted the brothers, patting his son on the shoulder with a proud smile. Tutor noticed another two colleagues beside him.
"Long time no see Mr. Jirojmontri" Tutor greeted one of them, he wasn't familiar with the other man.
"Please meet Mr. Sorntast, he is on old friend of mine and a very loyal partner in crime" Mr. Pharinyakorn praised the person beside him, it sounded like the beginning of a business proposal, Tutor thought to himself.
"Nice to meet you" Tutor shook his hand with a light smile. Immediately afterwards, Thomas did the same but with his usual stern expression. Tutor sipped from his drink and took a quick look at Thomas, seeing him quiet but listening and observing like always.
"Pleasure is all mine" Mr. Sorntast replied in a smile, Thomas had a bad feeling about him. He had read a few articles about his achievements, he also knew that the three of them had been inseparable allies for many years. Everything about the three of them together felt bad about what was to come.
"I heard that you had a good year" Mr. Sorntast said after the slight introduction, it made Thomas restrain himself from rolling his eyes. He undoubtedly chose the path of flattery in order to start a deal.
Thomas never forgot the people who initially underestimated Tutor. He was one of them. He remembers the first time when the four of them came to sign the first deal between them and the Pharinyakorn family. This man and Mr. Jirojmontri were present at the meeting and advised him not to take the deal, the reason was that they were too young and could not be trusted.
If they had said it when they were at the very beginning of the journey, he would still have understood. But when they met, they had already been in business for three years and were known for their achievements at such a young age. Thomas still thinks that they were simply afraid that Tutor would become a strong ally like them and take their place. That's why even now, before they were offered the planned deal, he is not in favor of it.
It seems that Tutor does not remember Mr. Sorntast, he was only present at the first meeting and since then they have not seen him again. But Thomas remembers everyone, for better and worse.
Unlike Mr. Sorntast, they did continue to run into Mr. Jirojmontri from time to time when he advised them together during meetings. In thomas' eyes he was Mr. Pharinyakorn puppy. Always on his tail and trying to please him.
The conversation continued with a huge amount of flattery and after a few minutes they finally got to the point. They asked Tutor what he thought of an abandoned plot of land in central Bangkok. If it has more potential as a shopping center or as a residential building, and if he was willing to take part in the deal.
"I need to know more details to give my opinion, we can set up an arranged meeting to discuss it" Tutor suggested, he doesn't like to take deals without knowing what it is all about.
Throughout the conversation he tried to ignore the heir's gaze on him, he didn't stop looking at him and examining him for a single moment. He also didn't try to get into his father's words, it feels like he was trying to learn from him despite the smug face he has. Tutor was just like that with his own father, always looking up to him and trying to learn from him as much as he can. He was also sure the heir was very surprised to witness the amount of respect those three old men gave him. He's used to it by now, because of his young age everyone used to be that way.
"Excellent, I'll tell my secretary to contact yours" Mr. Pharinyakorn answered enthusiastically.
"Until the meeting, we can briefly explain in the meantime, my son will be able to give more details" Mr. Sorntast added and without wasting any time, he called his son, who was probably very close to them, because after one call he reached them.
"Son, please meet the Koraphat family, Tutor and his younger brother Thomas" Mr. Sorntast introduced them with a big smile, putting his hand on his son's shoulder bringing him closer.
Chapter 7: Chapt
Chapter Text
Yim couldn't take his eyes off Tutor. He couldn't form it into words, but the guy really caught his attention. His own father who's not keen on showing respect for other people, including those who have a great potential for future achievements and deals for the company, is showing much respect along Kong's and Mark's fathers.
He's so young yet many great and veteran businessmen respect him and waiting for the opportunity to have a word with him to become partners. Also, the way his younger brother is respecting him and looking up to him was another thing that amused him. It annoyed him to death but also made him very curious to know more about him.
The moment Mr. Sorntast introduced Mark to the Koraphat brothers the air shifted. Mark seemed caught off guard, after his father introduced him he mainly greeted Tutor and tried to avoid Thomas. Kong told him about what happened back in the company. How Thomas defended him from Mark.
Yim hated being in the middle. Their fathers are childhood friends, grew up together and into their known-planned future fully aware what is expected from them to become. Just like Yim, Kong and Mark.
Mark and Kong weren't that close to each other, it was Yim who made the three of them stick together. They got along just fine, even though Mark was always a few steps ahead of them due to their age gap. Yim always followed behind, knowing he's the future heir made him want to learn as much as he can. So whenever Mark's dad taught him he was also there.
Kong never took interest in that kind of future, he did enjoy studying and had no problem with becoming an accountant to follow his father's footsteps. But the illegal things were making him feel bad. Kong's father wasn't completely a bad man, but he was indeed very harsh on him and expected more. Yim used to hear in every encounter he had with his own father how worried he is that his only son doesn't seem fit to follow after him.
Kong was only close to Yim but did hang out with him and Mark from time to time, as they grew up they even got along better. But when Kong entered their business and became an "adult" all of a sudden, Mark's behavior shifted. Yim always knew he had tried to get closer to Kong and wanted his attention, but he didn't think he had a romantic motive. He thought Mark wanted to know him better because Kong didn't have much in common with him and they were a bit distant from each other.
Yim tried to talk about it with him, Mark just dodged the questions and made it impossible. He also knew how their fathers loved him and how they wouldn't go against him and his father. Their bond was too strong. Yim couldn't go to his own father and complain when Mr. Jirojmontri himself didn't want to do anything with it.
He will admit though, that he's got respect for Thomas with the way he stood up for Kong even when he doesn't even know him.
When Mark introduced the details he was directing it all at Tutor, who was very attentive and focused. Yim took a quick glance at his father and saw him nodding his head from time to time, observing Tutor to see his reaction and probably get an idea about his thoughts on the matter.
"It is going to be a very profitable property in the center of Bangkok, we will all benefit there is no one who will lose" Mark finished his part in the plan of convincing Tutor, sounding very professional with those three oldies smiling on his sides.
"How does that sound?" Mr. Sorntast asked. Dear lord, they were pushing way too much. He hoped his father will stop him and Mr. Jirojmontri because it makes them seem too desperate.
Tutor thought for a few seconds, seems to considirate the details. Suddenly, he turned to his right.
"Thomas, what are your thoughts about this?" Tutor asked his younger brother, who has been quiet all this time.
No one said anything but the looks of everyone including Yim himself, were surprised and questioning. Tutor of course noticed, and answered with a smile.
"I decided to involve Thomas in more departments of the company, including taking new offers" Tutor said with a slight smirk, he made them understand that this was the answer to the surprise they had intentionally done to him. Of Yim taking over the company out of nowhere. He understood all their steps from the beginning.
"We will have the meeting you wanted, but I have got to say that the the division is not very fair to us with the fact we have to give the largest and most expensive part" Thomas said, aiming more at Yim's father.
Yim could sense Mark was on the edge from his comment, but he held back.
"Okay Mr. Thomas, We'll see you soon then" Mr. Sorntast said with a forced smile, after that Tutor and Thomas made their way to another side of the room. Not even five minutes had passed since their conversation and new people had already approached them.
Yim now understood why they had come to where they are today at such a young age. Both of them are observing and cautious, very strict and professional.
The only difference that Yim noticed for now, is that Tutor lets people talk even when he knows clearly they are lying or trying too hard. Thomas on the other hand, even from this very first and only encounter with him along what he heard from Kong, seemed to be someone who can't tolerate small talks, he wanted people to get to the point and not beat around the bush.
He would not have come far with this attitude as the most responsible of the four brothers. You need to be patient and read the person in front of you carefully, pretending is part of the matter as well. Then it hit him, they are four brothers, where are the other two?
"Hey Mark" He called him out, making him get out of a trance that got into him.
"What?" He growled back, eyes still on Thomas.
"Do you know their family?" He asked, becoming curious about the presence of the other two brothers.
"Hell no, if I did I could recognize that bastard sooner" He said angrily making his way to the table to get himself something to drink. He's so hot-headed.
He searched for Kong in the crowd, the moment they stepped in here he said he was going to find something to eat but wasn't back in sight since.
He went a bit farther from the center, reaching a quieter area where only a very few people sat.
"There you are" Yim said when he reached him, standing in front crossing his arms.
"Kinda hoped you wouldn't find me, not gonna lie" Kong sighed, finishing the muffin in his hand.
"What happened?" Yim asked while taking a seat, crossing his legs and turning his body to face Kong.
"Nothing unusual. Dad already got pissed at me on the way here and Mark is this close to get a punch in the face" Kong muttered under his breath, chugging the carbonated water as if they were a shot of alcohol.
"Maybe you should punch him" Yim agreed, it came to a point that Kong is suffering.
"Easy for you to say, your father would have done something if that asshole did something to you. If I punch him my father will do me worse" Kong snorted, today he was really in a bad mood.
"Anyway, what is it? You came looking for me" Kong changed the subject, it was great because Yim didn't know how to comfort him, he wasn't good in it.
"We just talked to the Koraphat brothers, I remembered you saying they were four. I wondered where are the others" Yim shared his thoughts, scanning his surroundings.
"I don't really know. They used to come to the company a lot more before, especially Tutor and Keng the second brother. But it's been a while since I saw him. The youngest only came once at their first meeting with your father. Tutor don't want him to get into business until he really has to" Kong spilled information like an encyclopedia, his brain was like a computer.
"I didn't think you were into gossip" Tutor voice came from behind them.
Yim and Kong turned their heads backwards, seeing Tutor sitting there finishing his drink. The person he just finished talking with took his leave.
So what do you think about the story so far? I would like to know, thank you for reading this story ♥

"I didn't think you were into gossip" Tutor voice came from behind them.
Yim and Kong turned their heads backwards, seeing Tutor sitting there finishing his drink. The person he just finished talking to took his leave.
"I guess you're into it as well, you just listened to us" Yim shot back, not fazed by his remark.
"It's not my fault that you were born with a megaphone in your throat, everything you say can be heard miles away"
Huh? Did Tutor just...insulted him? Is he imagining?
"Sorry, couldn't hear you. Can you stop mumbling to yourself and speak louder?" Yim retorted back, he felt himself getting worked up. Why is he so daring today? Did they really get on his nerves?
"I'm out of here, I don't have time for this type of shit" Kong excused himself and walked away. Yim wanted to call after him, but he saw Tutor getting up from his seat and that made him to stand up as well.
"I see your ego is hurt badly" Yim said, making Tutor to stop from going further.
"I don't have as much free time as you have" Tutor said now more serious, turning around and getting closer to him so they are face to face.
"When you tried to caught me off guard with you entering the business, I handled it. When you tried to steal that building deal away from me, I managed to keep it. Now tell me, who's ego is hurt exactly?" Tutor asked with his eyebrow raised, staring into his eyes with such confidence, Yim wished he could wash away.
"See you at the meeting Mr. Yim" Tutor said his name in a mocking tone with an annoying little smirk, walking away leaving Yim furious behind.
*
Today Kong was not having anyone's shit. The past few days have been hell, his dad piled so much work for him to do and it was not even his responsibility . Everything had such a short deadline, he couldn't keep up. He didn't have time to turn in a calculated document for some stupid favor Mr. Sorntast asked his father to make, that's why he got an earful from him during the ride. That family can go to hell if it were up to him, he never felt close to them anyway.
After noticing Yim and Tutor were starting to get into an argument, he decided to do himself a favor and leave. He didn't want to be on his father's radar today anymore so he tried to be away from him.
He reached the bar and intended to drink something to ease his mind, but as soon as he sat on a stool he heard his father calling him. He looked to his right and saw him sitting beside Thomas on the bar, his dad looked energetic compared to Thomas who was swinging the glass in his hand looking as if he had enough.
"Yes dad?" Kong asked after reaching them, standing and not taking a seat to make a quick escape the moment he won't be needeed.
"You know Mr. Thomas right? He comes to our company from time to time with Mr. Koraphat" His dad kind of introduced Thomas to him, just making sure in case Kong was not aware of the one in front him. Funny, because it was him who had to do again, someone else's job and had to accompany Thomas to a meeting with Mr. Pharinyakorn the other day.
"Of course" Kong answered, he tried to speak short answers so they can get to the point. But his dad had other plans.
"We have a meeting coming soon, I want you to calculate all the total costs of the property, the price and the division. After you're done, send it to Mark who can present it, and this time without any mistakes" His father said in a normal but at the same time warning voice.
Before Kong had the time to reply he was cut off.
"Actually, I'd like you to attend the meeting and present it yourself" Thomas said making an eye contact with Kong, now he was fully turned and facing away from the bar.
To say Kong was shocked would be an understatement. He felt Thomas was defending him again, as if he could notice the little details about his relationship with his father. It made him really embarrassed. First it was Mark making him feel hopeless in front of him and now his Dad was belittling him.
"With pleasure Mr. Thomas" Kong answered in a smile, he had to fix his appearance. In his daily life he's very confident and good at what he's doing, it's just these two people who appeared to be close to him that made him look bad all the time, especially in front of Thomas.
His father had a surprised expression, he didn't expect Kong to agree. Mainly because he didn't agree for him to join yet. He'd rather Mark to present it and not him but Thomas asked for it and he agreed, it's too late.
"Great, I'll see you both soon" Thomas bid them goodbye, finishing his drink in one shot before making his way to Tutor to make their way back home.
*
"I think I want to take back what I said. It's fine for me not to step in the business" Thomas said the moment their driver pulled out of the parking lot.
"It's too late little brother" Tutor laughed, loosening his tie and opening the upper buttons of his white shirt.
"I just hate all their sweet talking, especially the puppies of Mr. Pharinyakorn, how can you stand it?" Thomas sighed dramatically , looking outside of the window.
"I don't have a choice. Be prepared to hear it from now on, until now you were helping me making decisions behind the scenes. From now on you are going to make them yourself" Tutor said, it was such a tiring event he wanted to go home as soon as possible.
Chapter 9: Chpater 9
Chapter Text
The place was noisy, dark, and full of young and rich people looking for an escape from the routine. Rarely would Tutor allow himself to take a short break from the business and let himself have fun and relax a little. One of his friends organized a party for his birthday and he had no chance of refusing such an invitation.
He told Thomas to keep an eye on their house and pay attention, they received information that their siblings had started contacting their acquaintances. That means they're going to come back soon, if they decide to come back home, who knows why and what will happen. Keng was very impulsive and full of hatred, you could never know his next steps.
Tutor searched for his friend Ping, he was a very good friend of his since childhood. They were very different but managed to get along and keep in touch. He saw him standing in the middle of the dance floor, laughing along Yim. Shit, he didn't expect them to be friends.
He came here to relax and have fun, that made him to make a quick turn for the bar instead and greet his friend later. He knew that as soon as Yim was going to notice his presence, calming down would not be an option.
*
Yim never imagined Tutor being friends with someone like Ping could be a possibility. Ping was so carefree, calm and getting along with everyone. How can someone like him be friends with someone so serious, annoying, vain and a pain in the ass like Tutor.
He saw him coming towards the birthday boy at first, but when he noticed Yim he had an annoyed expression and made a turn to the bar. It made a small smile to slip out, he was avoiding him. Amusing.
What was less amusing a few minutes later was seeing one of Ping's friends clinging on to him for half of the evening. It was none other than Nunew. Every time he has a fight with his boyfriend he would be flirty and clingy with someone to get him jealous. But tonight his boyfriend Zee is not around, he's not related to Ping so Yim didn't understand the reason behind it. What he did know- that it pissed the hell out of him.
"Everybody come here! Let's start the fun for real" Ping yelled, gathering everyone in the living room. That's what Yim liked about him the most- he always made things interesting and fun. After announcing the game they were going to play, Yim was very surprised seeing Tutor not backing off. He didn't look like the type to take part in party games.
Not everyone were keen on taking part in the game so they could still be one group of players. The one who gets the King card pickes two numbers and decide a dare for them. Santa was the one who shuffled the cards and dealt them out.
They sat in a pretty wide circle, Yim knew almost everyone. To his surprise Meen, Tutor's personal bodyguard was present. Very odd if you ask him. None of the guards in his family were ever invited to personal matters.Even though he's the same age as Tutor and an acquaintance of Ping, if it had been his father instead of Tutor, he would still not have brought him with him. For him to bring your bodyguard was to devalue yourself to spend time with him.
Other than him, Auau, Save, Nunew, James, Net, Est, William, Sailub, Pon, Garfield and Benz were sitting with them.
"Let's see what we got!" Pon said enthusiastically, making everyone to grab the cards in front of them.
"Yay! I'm the King" Auau yelled happily, dropping the card on the table.
"Numbers three and five have to lick each other's ears" Auau ordered in a smirk, laying back against the sofa.
"You are disgusting" Save said horrified.
"Thank God I didn't get those numbers" He sighs with relief, placing his card on the table for everyone to see.
"I've got five" Nunew announced unbothered, placing his card on the table as well.
The others also revealed the numbers they received, none of them had the said number. Only he and Totor remained, Yim got number four. This means that Tutor received number three.
Tutor didn't say anything, just exposed the card to everyone with an annoying smile.
Chapter 10: Chapter 10
Chapter Text
Everyone cheered Nunew's and Tutor's names, getting their phones to document what was about to happen. Yim stared at Nunew silently, is he really going to do it? He never took it this far in making his boyfriend jealous.
When Nunew prepared himself and got closer, aiming towards Tutor's left ear, everyone gasped at the noise from the entrance. The door got slammed hard, making everyone to look and seeing Zee standing there, observing what's in front of him. When he met Nunew's eyes his expression darkened. He saw his hand on Tutor's jawline and in the speed of light reached him, taking his hand and urging him to get up on his feet.
He made their way towards the door to take their leave, not forgetting to stop and wish Ping a quick Happy Birthday before vanishing.
"Let's continue" Ping tried to lighten the air, shuffling the cards again. After everyone received the cards, Net revealed that he had received the king's card
"It's not rocket science, pick a fucking number already" James muttered angrily, rolling his eyes at Net who's having a hard time choosing.
"Calm down, princess" Net chuckled, leaning on his knees still thinking.
"Number 8" Net finally chose the first number and announced it, making Save to laugh.
"You will finally feel what you deserve, all your disgusting requests are now coming back to you" Save said satisfied after looking over Auau's shoulder to see his number, he was definitely having the time of his life.
"And number 2" Net added, making the smile on Save's face to vanish.
"I will never seat next to you again! Your presence makes my luck run away from me" Save pouted, throwing his card on the table.
"How can it run away if you didn't have it in the first place?" Auau asked innocently, dodging a punch from Save.
"Listen here love birds" Net said laughing, waiting for the two to be quiet and listen.
"You need to pass a shot through your mouth" He said with an evil smile. Yim really hoped if he's ever going to get a chosen number tonight, that Net will not be the one to decide his dare.
"You are another monster" Save said gritting his teeth, avoiding looking at the taller beside him.
"Drama queen, come on. You finally get the chance you've been waiting for your whole life, use it" Auau said smirking, enjoing every second of it.
"Let's get this over with" Save said determined, taking the small glass and drinking it in one go. Without swallowing it's content, he grabbed the taller's face and poured the shot into his mouth.
He did it fast, not giving Auau and the rest of them to even realize it already happened. Auau was stunned, he wasn't expacting him to do it so easily. After blinking a few times and realizing what had happened, he smirked.
"Can you stop looking at me like a creep?" Save said angrily, crossing his arms and looking at the opposite side.
"Absolutely not" Auau replied, still staring at him.
"I can't stand it anymore, let's keep going" James took the lead and shuffled the cards.
"Let's make it spicy a little" Est said with a content smile, revealing his king card.
"Numbers 7 and 10 need to seat on the other's lap and make out for three minutes"
Everyone cheered, getting excited from the new dare. Yim could also be among them and get excited about it, but he got the number 10. So instead of being enthusiastic, he was more into going up to the highest floor of the building and jumping headfirst from there.
"Go ahead and reveal what you got!" Ping shouted enthusiastically.
Yim was not a believer, but right now he prayed so hard. Just not him. He looked at Tutor who was smirking and showing his card. Number 7.
"Well, that was unexpected" William said surprised.
Chapter 11: Chapter 11
Chapter Text
Tutor didn't seem moved by the dare they were given, Yim hated him even more because of it. He tried his best to show that it didn't bother him. Supposedly.
"What are you waiting for? Come on" Benz urged after none of them made a move.
"I won't sit on his lap, if he wants to he can come to me" Yim said after noticing that Tutor wasn't going to pick up his annoying ass off the couch.
"Then we can wait forever if you'd like" Tutor answered unbothered, laying back.
"Oh my God, just do it so we can move on" Save said along with James that had completely lost his patience.
Yim is not one who would give up so easily, especially not to someone like him. But the way Ping asked him to do it made him give up his ego a bit. He got up from his seat next to Ping and began to make his way towards him.
"Don't flatter yourself, if it wasn't for ping, be sure that you were the one sitting on my lap" Yim muttered, standing right in front of him.
"You can keep telling yourself that" Tutor said with a stupid smirk that never faded from his lips. Before he could do anything he got pulled down, making him to sit on his lap.
"We both know that no matter what, you would end up like this on me anyway" Tutor whispered in his ear, causing him to shudder.
"Can we include a slap before we begin?" Yim turned to Est, asking whole heartdly. Making everyone to laugh and Est to shake his head.
Yim sighed, turning back to Tutor who sneaked his hands around his waist, pulling him closer to his body.
"Don't expect me to be the first to kiss, I'm already at my limit with sitting on you" Yim said sassily, not knowing where he should put his hands.
"You don't need to worry about that Darling" Tutor said, making him to worry despite what he just said.
Yim observed him quietly, making sure not to be the first to start any move. Tutor moved his right hand from his waist to his cheek, holding him gently. Along the massive hate he felt towards him, he couldn't deny the fact he thought Tutor was a fine handsome man since their first encounter.
Tutor slowly closed the gap between them, kissing Yim's underlip slowly and moving his lips. At first Yim didn't plan on reciprocate to him, but when Tutor deepened the kiss and moved both of his hands to his hips squeezing lightly, his body started to move on it's own.
His arms found themselves wrapped around his neck, kissing him back with the same intensity that increased with each passing second. Yim certainly didn't plan on doing it but he found himself biting Tutor's lower lip. It made Tutor to lean back from the kiss, looking at him with darkened eyes. He felt himself being pulled in again to another kiss, only now Tutor entered his tongue, kissing him with such intensity he almost couldn't keep up.
Yim moved his hands to his hair, pulling at the black strands trying to make the kiss go deeper and messing up his appearance. Tutor moved his hands slowly from his upper back to his ass making him yelp against his mouth.
"6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 time is up!" All of a sudden Yim heard the countdown and the moment he heard them finishing, he found himself trying hard to saparate himself from Tutor. Luckily he managed to be the first one to pull away and get off of him. He returned to his seat, wiping his lips and avoiding looking at anyone.
"That was the hottest kiss I've ever witnessed, besides mine of course" Net commented, making James to hit him on his shoulder.
He was doomed. He can't believe he is sitting at this moment inside the Koraphat's mansion. His father is sitting on one side of the long table in the middle of the room, along Mr. Sorntast, Mark, Mr. Jirojmontri and Kong. On the other side of the table were sitting the Koraphat brothers, the eldest one right across from him.
For some odd reason, Meen the bodyguard is sitting with the brothers. It was so weird seeing him now after the party. Especially after witnessing him and Ping making out. Unfortunately, that's not the only thing bothering him at the moment, at the same time he couldn't get out the image of him and Tutor making out on that sofa from inside his head. How is he supposed to do business with him now?
During the meeting he felt Tutor's gaze directed at him constantly. It was very intriguing, he really tried to stay focused on what was being said but he failed miserably. The discussion was held for a long time, and neither side reached an agreement. He knew the brothers were right, but it wasn't profitable for them to admit it.
"Mr. Koraphat we can't give you sixty percent in profits" His father said and sounded really on the edge.
"Considering that we are going to activate connections in order to win the tender and bring partners to build the business, I think it can be possible" Thomas said firmly.
"We also have a significant part in the deal, we are going to invest half of the required amount of money to buy the land" Kong intervened, making Thomas to raise an eyebrow.
Although most of what was said was directed at Tutor, he did not intervene and let Thomas run the meeting.
A knock was suddenly heard, after giving permission one of their bodyguards entered the room and whispered in his father's ear.
"This meeting was held for too long than expected, we have an important meeting and the tender will be held in a few days. We need to reach an agreement now" Mr. Sorntast said in a tone that indicated impatience and anger.
"We don't sign any deal if you don't have the patience and time" Tutor said with authority, putting Mr. Sorntast in his place.
"You can go to the next meeting. Kong and I will continue from here" Yim said, assuring his father that he can handle it.
Chapter Text
To say that Mr. Jirojmontri and Mr. Sorntast were happy with Yim's offer would be absolutely wrong. Mark himself also showed signs of disagreement, but Mr. Pharinyakorn immediately accepted his son's offer.
After they started their way to the next meeting and said goodbye to the brothers, Tutor whispered something in Meen's ear that made him nod and leave the room.
"I understand where you're coming from, but as Thomas said, we're going to invest a lot more resources" Tutor answered to Kong's statement.
"We bring partners as well as you are, the only difference is that they are included in the deal" Yim stated, for the first time not running away from making an eye contact with the eldest brother.
"You mean Mr. Pharinyakorn's little puppies?" Thomas said with a chuckle, leaning back in his chair.
"Excuse me?" Yim was stunned, it's a first to see Thomas not so serious and firm. Let along talking like that.
"Will we ever reach an agreement at this meeting?" Kong asked annoyed, this discussion was leading to nowhere.
"Listen, we all know thet we are right. But I also know that you can't step down and give it to us for some reasons" Tutor said, refraining from saying the reasons why they are not willing to give them the part in question. Ego was one of them as usuall, and so was the fact that Mr. Pharinyakorn's puppies, as Thomas calls them, always felt bothered by the fact the young brothers can have the upper hand.
"So what do you suggest?" Kong asked with hope to reach an agreement.
"Fifty-fifty" Tutor said, observing their reactions.
Yim wanted to refuse, but he knew that Tutor would not agree to sign the deal if the share he received was less than that.
"Deal"
*
Thomas and Kong were outside the office after Tutor asked them to leave him and Yim alone. They were a bit taken aback, but Thomas could think of a few options that his brother had to talk to him. He could choose not to talk to him alone, but given the tension between them, he was not surprised that he asked for it.
"Bold of you to call others little puppies when you look like a frog" Kong said after a small stroll in their hall, a few pictures of their family on the shelf showing.
"Really? A frog? Have you ever seen such a handsome one?" Thomas asked half in disbelief and half amused from his statement.
"A giraffe can also be suitable" Kong said in a chuckle, turning to him from the pictures.
"Why is that?" Thomas asked curiously, stopping a few steps away from him with his hands crossed.
"You have a very long neck" Kong shrugged with his shoulders.
"That's very specific, it means you've been observing me quite closely" Thomas smirked, looking pleased.
"You're right, it took me a while to figure out the best way to strangle you" Kong said cynically, slightly smiling.
"I do think your hands will fit perfectly on my neck though" Thomas said so unbothered Kong thought he didn't hear correctly.
"You're a masochist"
"Can't argue about that" Thomas smirked, stepping closely.
"Kong, let's go" Yim said in a hurry, storming out of the office.
Thomas and Kong looked in the direction he was coming from, noticing Tutor standing at the door, looking pleased.

Chapter Text
It's been a while since the two brothers were present at such a large and elaborate event. They were invited to Mr. Pharinyakorn and Yim's birthday celebration, they united their birthdays that week into one party. The event was attended by people of all ages, both young and old, which is different and refreshing for a change since most of the events to which the siblings are invited are held by older ones, considering their profession.
They didn't encounter any of the Pharinyakorn's yet, but when they took a seat on their designated table they met none other than their uncle.
"Hey boys, long time no see" He greeted them with a big smile.
"Hi uncle" Tutor greeted back, Thomas bowed slightly while taking a seat.
"How are you these days? I've heard the Pharinyakorn's are making things a bit difficult for you lately" He asked with complete hypocrisy, if he had tried a little harder maybe he could have sounded worried about their well-being for once.
"Just a bit" Thomas answered, trying very hard to hold himself from throwing hands. If there was someone he really despised it would be him. He can't believe those assholes made them sit together. Another thing to add on his list of hate for them.
"If you need anything I'm always here to help my favorite nephews" He suggested chuckling, taking a sip from his glass of wine.
"You helped us enough, don't you think?" Tutor answered sharply, losing the small amount of patience left.
Before his uncle could reply, Mr. Pharinyakorn and his son came to their table.
"Mr. Anada, it has been a while since we met" Mr. Pharinyakorn greeted him happily after greeting the brothers first.
"This party just in time to celebrate our return to doing business together after so much time" Mr. Anada said, making Tutor and Thomas to look at each other in wonder.
The rest of their talking was nothing realted to business, making the brothers to stop listening and start figuring out what the hell they are up to.
"Just to let you know, the young people's party on the second floor" Yim said briefly and then disappeared into the crowd.
"I know we are worried, but I think we deserve a drink or two. Let's go, we'll deal with them later" Thomas said to his big brother, he could see the wheels in his head working already.
"I don't want you to have gray hair before reaching twenty five" Thomas chuckled, making the atmosphere less tense. It convinced Tutor to follow him to the second floor and be away from the elders that are constantly making his years shorter.
Reaching that floor, everything was different. The young people in the room went wild on the dance floor, letting off some steam.
"I'm going to the bar, do you want anything?" Tutor asked, feeling the need of his usuall dose of whisky in his system.
"No, I'm fine" Thomas answered, he didn't want to drink today if Tutor was. It's better for one of them to stay sober, even though they never reach a point of becoming a mess. Just in case.
He stood there near the dance floor observing his surroundings, noticing Kong dancing his heart out with his friends. His white buttoned shirt was half way open, the gray suit pants he wore complimented his narrow waist.
"He doesn't know it yet, but he's definitely going home with me tonight"
Thomas looked to his left, seeing Mark standing next to him. He followed his gaze to realize he's talking about Kong. It made him laugh.
"What's so funny asshole?" Mark asked in anger, turning to him fully.
"Your lack of self-awareness" Thomas snickered, not even bothering to make eye contact with him.
"I don't understand why people respect you so much, you can be sure that if you weren't a business partner my father needed, that I wouldn't spare you" Mark said clenching his jaw.
That really made Thomas to laugh, he was trying to control himself badly. He never witnessed such an embarassing encounter before. It caused Mark to lose his restraint, he almost managed to lift his fist when they were interrupted.
"Hi little frog" Kong's voice was heard in front of them, making them both to look at him.

"Hi little frog" Kong's voice was heard in front of them, making them both to look at him.
Thomas didn't like that nickname in the slightest, he sighed while closing his eyes.
"Come on" Kong suddenly grabbed his arm, urging him to go with him. Thomas was surprised, letting himself being pulled to the dance floor.
"You are welcome" Kong said grinning, starting to move to the loud music.
"Excuse me?"
"I just saved you from commiting a murder" Kong proceeded, not stopping his moves.
"I was doing just fine" Thomas muttered, feeling uncomfortable standing in the middle of the crowed.
"What did he say to you that made you so pissed?" Kong asked curiously, noticing Mark staring at them from afar.
Thomas considered whether to tell the truth, after a few seconds of hesitation he decided to be honest.
"He said you were going home with him tonight" Thomas said, feeling the anger coming back to him from minutes ago.
It made Kong to raise his brow in surprise, he stopped dancing and looked at him softly. Kong slowly approached him and placed his arms around his neck.
"What if you're the one I want to come back with tonight?"
Thomas was caught off guard, he wasn't expecting that.
"I'd say that I would love to, but I don't think it's a good idea" Thomas answered, making the younger to frown.
"We're rivals, it will complicate everything" Thomas tried to listen to the rational side and avoid his desire to throw everything away and kiss him.
"Maybe you and my father are, but you are certainly not a rival to me" Kong whispered against his lips making Thomas weak, causing him to unknowingly wrap his arms around his waist bringing him closer.
"If we start there's no going back" Thomas whispered, switching stares from his eyes to his lips every few seconds.
"What are you waiting for?" Kong asked, rubbing their noses against one another.
Thomas moved his right hand to hold the younger's cheek, caressing gently. To say Kong was impatient would be an understatement. The light touch made him to pull Thomas by the hair and making their lips to finally meet.
The kiss started gently, Thomas' hold on his waist and cheek made Kong to long for more, the little squeezes didn't help either. After a few seconds Thomas' grip on his waist tightened, pressing Kong against his body kissing him passiontly, pulling at his bottom lip every few seconds making Kong to gasp against him.
Thomas pulled back breathing heavily, looking at him with hooded eyes.
"Let's get out of here" Kong said, not waiting for a response, taking Thomas' hand and leading him towards the exit.
"Where the fuck you think you're going Kong?"
Mark stopped them when they almost reached the stairs. Two bodyguards standing oneither side of him.
"Who are you to ask me that? I can do whatever the hell I want" Kong said not bothered by him, having somehow a calm and composed reaction. He is so different from Thomas, who is stopping himself from punching him in the face, including the guards.
"You're forgetting he's our rival Kong, he's using you. There's no way I'm letting you go away with him"
That made Thomas to take a step forward, but Kong was faster. Walking closer to Mark and looking at him from head to toe.
"Don't bother, be sure that if I hadn't gone with him tonight, nothing in the world would have made me come back with you" Kong said firmly, causing him to lose face in front of a few people near them.
Kong was so fucking hot talking back to him like that, Thomas was mesmerized.
"Don't even think about telling my father about us, you know that with all the love he has for you business comes first" Kong added right before going past him with Thomas, who grinned at Mark triumphantly.

Chapter Text
Thomas and Kong made their way towards the exit, halfway through Thomas noticed two familiar faces talking to their uncle. Kong was surprised when he felt him stopping behind.
"What's wrong?" Kong asked worriedly, the latter just stood frozen and looked at one of the tables in front of them.
He looked at the same direction and recognized them, Keng and Latte. Tutor and Thomas' brothers.
~~~~
Tutor was drinking his third glass when Yim took a seat beside him on the bar. He sighed.
"I'm always happy to fight with you, but let's save it for another day" Tutor was not interested in getting into another argument, looking ahead of him and not at the man beside him.
"Relax, I'm not here to start a fight" Yim said, making Tutor to move his head sharply in his direction.
"Really?" Tutor asked skeptically, making Yim to chuckle in amusment.
"It's my birthday after all, believe me that the last thing I want is you getting on my nerves. I'm trying here" The heir defended himself, it was very suspicious to Tutor but he somehow looked genuine so he let it be.
"What do you want then?"
"Resolve the obvious sexual tension we have"
Tutor choked on his drink, lightly massaging his chest and neck for relief.
He was really caught off guard here. He never thought Yim could be so straight forward. He thinks it's the first time he made him speachless. Almost.
"You can drop the act, after swallowing the hell out of my mouth the other night you sure know what I'm talking about " Yim insisted, honestly he is doing it more for himself. He couldn't get him out of his head since then. Every time they met Tutor always stared at him shamelessly and reminded him of that kiss, he made it impossible.
"Let's say you are right. How do you want to resolve it exactly?" Tutor asked leaning closer to his face, scanning him from the eyes down to the lips.
"I'm sure you can think of something" Yim said turning his face away from the handsome man, who is still staring at his lips openly.
"It won't end well, you know that" Tutor said in a sudden awarness, returning his gaze to the heir's soft eyes.
"I know that" Yim whispered, he knew it was wrong. He knew that the only way all this would end would be in disaster and regret.
But can he forget that asshole's amazing lips and mesmerizing eyes? Unfortunately no.
They stared at each other in silence, observing one another. It's the longest they've managed to hold on without fighting or insulting each other. He would call it a big accomplishment if you ask him.
"Hey Tutor!"
Net was shouting his name on his way to t them, making him to get out of the daze he got into.
"You better come quickly" Net looked like he ran up here, it had to be something serious.
The last thing he thought could happen tonight would be to meet his missing brothers again. When he reached the other floor he saw Thomas standing in front of their uncle along Keng and Latte, he looked furious and the three of them were wearing smug faces. They knew how to provoke his little brother.
"You really have no fucking shame, do you?" Thomas took one step forward, being stopped by Tutor who's holding his arm and preventing him from getting closer.
"Big brother, long time no see" Keng greeted Tutor, the last time they saw each other was three months ago.
"What is going on here?" Tutor asked Thomas, ignoring Keng's comment towards him. He didn't want things to escalate, people are already watching. Shit, he hates giving other people reasons to gossip about them.
"It turns out that we are now partners with the Pharinyakorns as well" Keng said in a satisfied smile, their uncle on the side looking the exact same. Latte was quiet but definitely took Keng's attitude. He looked content with making Thomas angry.
"They put them in charge of Sukhumvit instead of us" Thomas spat in anger, he never loses his temper in public, at least tries hard no to. But the combination of their uncle and his so called brothers provoking him is beyond him to ignore.
Tutor stopped at the news, his temper slowly rising. Their permanent deal that lasted for years not only fell through, but was also taken from them to be replaced by their own brothers.
Chapter Text
Tutor looked straight into Keng's eyes, staring into his soul. He saw Mr. Pharinyakorn passing by them as if he's completely oblivious to what's happening. He was laughing along Mr. Sorntast walking by his side.
"Mr. Pharinyakorn, the deal you offered us is cancelled. We are no longer partners in any field. Good luck" Tutor said firmly. Presenting a little smirk after seeing the faces of the three old men, showing worry and confusion after trying so hard to get him to agree to their offer.
Tutor and Thomas were on their way home, sitting together at the back of the car.
"I knew something was wrong, but I never thought they would betray us like this" Thomas said infuriated, trying to calm himself by looking outside the window. His mind drifted away, did Kong approach him as part of their plan?
"Me neither. They really underestimated us to think we won't react to such a move. But I guarantee you I will teach them a lesson" Tutor ensured Thomas that it was not going to end like this.
Yim's POV
"Why the hell is your father calling us so urgently?" Yim asked annoyed on his way with Kong to the meeting room.
"I have no idea. Maybe it's about the Koraphats" Kong guessed after noticing his father walking towards the meeting room as if his life depended on it.
"If something got my father to run it's not good"
~~~
"What's so urgent?" Yim's father asked in confusion Kong's father. Making all the people in the room to look at Mr.Jirojmontri in question, he called to this meeting Mr. Sorntast and Mark as well.
"The Koraphats bought the property we wanted" He announced, making his own father and Mr. Sorntast to have a burst.
"What the hell? You've got to be kidding me!" Mr. Sorntast landed a hit on the table, he really worked hard on getting this deal. He couldn't believe they stole it away.
"I didn't think they will go this far" His father said, making him to snort.
"What did you think they would do after the stupid decision you made?" Yim asked raising a brow, making everyone shocked by his comment.
"If you hadn't changed everything behind my back, we wouldn't be in this situation" He added, making Mr. Sorntast and Mr. Jirojmontri to hold back their anger.
"Yim, calm down" Mark tried to make him calm, of course he will. His father is behind all this.
"I won't calm down. Who is supposed to be the future heir, you or me?"
Yim had enough of these two man who tried to control his father all the time. He was tired of him letting them control his actions as they wished.
"Son, you need to calm down. You are the one who said that the deal is not beneficial to us. After we cancelled the deal with them, everyone we hired afterwards couldn't meet their standards. The most logical thing was to take their brothers who worked with them" His father said a few correct points but forgot one small thing or more correctly a deal.
"Everything has a timing, you had to do it after convincing them to buy the land" Yim insisted to prove his point, he can't believe his father all of a sudden started to make such stupid calls. Something was wrong.
Before they could continue the discussion, there was a knock on the door. The secretary entered, followed by Mr. Anada, Keng and Latte.

Chapter Text
The meeting started right away, they discussed the terms of the new contract between the two parties. Yim was quite surprised by the fact they had directly agreed to the offer that their side would receive only thirty percent of the revenue. This was the offer he made to Tutor when he first met with him and he refused outright. It felt they would accept any offer that came their way just to take the place of Tutor and Thomas, it made him feel cautious about the future of their partnership.
Mr. Anada was quite enthusiastic, it seemed that he and Mr. Jirojmontri were getting along well. Keng was the opposite of his older brother, he was sharp but at the same time tried to prove himself way too much in every subject that was discussed. He was talking his thoughts before thinking first, it seems that he is an impulsive type. Mr. Anada was not better than him.
To his surprise, it was Latte who was able to figure out when they were too excited and managed to get them to slow down. He knew from Kong that he was the little brother that Tutor had never wanted to get into this dirty business. It made Yim think about how Tutor would react if he had witnessed this meeting and seen what was happening.
The work in question was on the Sukhumvit area, where there is a wide variety of businesses that pay protection fees every month. The deal with the Koraphat family began back then when both wanted the area to be under their control. Since Mr. Pharinyakorn was stronger in terms of connections at the time, he was able to gain control of the area.
He always liked to leave the dirty business to other people so it's easier to hide traces. He made a suggestion to Tutor that they would be the ones to collect the debts from the businesses for them, in the beginning their profits were only twenty percent of the revenue. But after they proved themselves and did an excellent job, their profits increased to fifty percent.
"How will your way of working differ from your brothers?" Kong challenged them with a question after they promised that their path would be similar but more efficient.
"As you must have noticed, our brothers are a bit kind-hearted. Over time, they began to feel sorry for some of the businesses and gave them the option to pay the price in installments" Latte explained, he looked inexperienced, but he spoke confidently.
"We will make them pay everything at the same time, your income per month will increase from what it was before" Keng assured confidently, looking straight at Kong from across the table, who had asked questions and managed to shake them up a bit from their confidence.
~~~~~
Yim arrived a fundraising event of one of their partners in the company, this is the first time that he is the only representative to come. His father wanted him to start attending events without him and gain the trust of their partners without his presence. The fundraising event was for orphaned children in Sukhumvit, which meant that Tutor was also invited since he was in charge of the area until not long ago.
He never noticed how often they met since he entered the company officially, until this week in which they didn't see each other even once. He won't lie that he yearned to see him, that the kiss still lingered on his lips and the fact he wouldn't mind doing it again. But after what happened with their brothers that now joined forces with his family, a kiss would be a miracle at this point.
The event was relatively small, only a small number of people were invited. Therefore, it was decided that the guests' private security would remain outside. Since Keng and Mr. Anada are the new administrators of the area, they were also invited but have not yet arrived. The truth is that Yim would have preffered them not to come, he didn't like them in the first place and the last thing he wanted was them running after his taile the whole time.
He was chatting with the host of the event near the entrance, when all the guests who entered took pictures that would later be published in the media to encourage donations.
A few minutes later, he arrived. In a black tuxedo suit with a red tie, Tutor came in and stunned everyone who layed their eyes on him. His black hair was slicked back and the charming smile he was presenting just made his look even hotter. The moment he entered all the cameras were filming him and making everyone else to be forgotten.
It's his first attending a fundraising event and to be honest it was boring as hell. He had to make a lot of small talks, all on his own since his father wasn't here to take the lead and it made him a bit drained out of energy. Now they were all sitting, each one in their own table. Listening to the host explaining about the orphanage and inviting the people who run the place to the stage in order.
Mr. Anada and Keng arrived right before the opening speech a while ago, with his luck their table was right next to him. He greeted them briefly and thanked God the host started talking so another useless small talk was prevented.
At the moment, one of the teachers at the orphanage explained their curriculum. He really tried to listen, and maybe he would have succeeded if they hadn't seated Tutor in such a place so visible to him. Damn it, he fell deep.
After losing his concentration for a while, he heard applause, apparently she had finished speaking. He clapped along with everyone and looked around, he noticed a few waiters passing between the tables. He felt grateful because he really needed a glass of wine right now, but after noticing that the waiters were acting strange he felt something was wrong.
They started taking requests from the tables at the front, but it seemed that they were focused on something else, that they were trying to find someone. Apparently they weren't supposed to go to the tables because the host came to one of them and asked what they were doing. At that moment, they pulled out guns and gunshots were heard throughout the place.
Chapter Text
Yim’s first instinct was to duck under the table and disappear.
He tried to keep his cool, tried to think. He had no experience with situations like this. He’d only just begun to step into this world and for the first time he was alone. He had no idea what to do.
Somewhere nearby, one of the shooters barked a question at a woman. Her reply was a terrified scream.
“Shut your mouth!” another voice snapped, followed by a deafening gunshot into the air.
Yim risked a glance through the narrow gap between the tablecloth and the floor. Two of the intruders were speaking in low, tense voices, while the other two stood guard with their rifles raised, ready to fire at the first sign of movement.
He glanced to his right where Mr. Anada and Keng were supposed to be.
Empty. Gone. As if the earth had swallowed them whole. When the hell had they managed to escape?
The gunmen started moving closer, weaving between the tables toward him. Yim’s chest tightened. His breathing grew fast, uneven.
Then—a sudden presence beside him.
Before he could react, a hand clamped over his mouth.
“Calm down. It’s me,” Tutor whispered, hiding him even more from the intruders.
“What’s going on here?” Yim asked, his voice low but shaky.
“I don’t know” Tutor murmured, eyes scanning the room. “But whatever it is—it’s planned. Stay quiet. Stay behind me”
With practiced ease, he slipped a pistol from beneath his suit jacket.
“How did you get that in here? They searched everyone” Yim whispered, startled.
Tutor’s lips curved into a sly smile. “I have my ways” He replied as he loaded the gun and aimed toward the direction of the gunmen.
They could still hear them moving between the tables. At each one, the intruders checked whoever was hiding there. If it wasn’t their target, they asked a single question—one Yim still couldn’t catch. When they drew closer, the voices became clear.
“Damn it, not him” One of the shooters said, hauling a terrified man from under a table.
“Where’s Yim Pharinyakorn?” The man barked at a woman crouched nearby. Yim didn’t know her name, but her fear was unmistakable.
“I—I don’t know. I think he was at the table behind me” She stammered.
Instinctively, Yim grabbed onto Tutor’s sleeve his breath caught. They were here for him.
“Look at me” Tutor said, gripping Yim’s face and forcing his eyes to meet his.
“I’ll distract them. When the time comes, you run to the second exit back there" He nodded toward a door just two rows behind them. The shooters hadn’t reached it yet.
“What are you going to do? I don’t want you to ge—”
“Don’t worry” Tutor cut him off. “I’ll meet you after. Just do what I say.” There was no room for argument.
The moment the gunmen reached their row, Tutor stood. He’d already slipped the pistol back under his jacket, hands raised casually.
“I don’t think I’m the one you’re looking for” he said with a faint smile, meeting their eyes.
“Shit" One muttered. Recognition flickered.
“We don’t want trouble with you. Just tell us where Mr. Pharinyakorn is and we’ll finish our job” Another said. They knew who he was—Tutor’s reputation traveled faster than he did.
“Believe me, I’m the last person who’d know where he is” Tutor replied evenly.
“I think I saw him heading to the bathroom just before you made your grand entrance”
Yim marveled—how could he keep his voice so calm?
“We saw you sitting up front earlier. Why move here? Tell us the truth and we won’t hurt you” One of the gunmen pressed. He hadn’t recognized Tutor, but he noticed details.
“You’re welcome to try” Tutor said, a challenge in his tone. The man stepped forward, but his partner stopped him.
“Maybe he’s telling the truth. We really haven’t seen Pharinyakorn since we came in” The partner reasoned. After a quick exchange, they decided two would check the bathrooms, two would keep searching here.
The pair left. The others turned toward the next table. That was Yim’s moment.
As they yanked the next person from hiding, Yim bolted.
“There! Get him!” one of the shooters shouted. Both swung their rifles toward him.
But Tutor was faster. In one motion, he drew his pistol and shot one of them in the leg. The man went down screaming. The other instantly aimed at Tutor but he dove sideways, toppling a table and taking cover behind it. Bullets chewed into the wood above his head.
He risked a glance toward the exit—Yim was almost out.
The gunfire continued in a deafening rhythm until suddenly, a click—then silence. A jam. The shooter cursed.
This was Tutor’s chance. He shifted to move, ready to fire.
But the crack of new gunfire rang out. The other two had returned from their search.
Chapter Text
“Fuck” Tutor muttered under his breath, ducking back behind the table.
He scanned the room. Guests cowered under every table, terrified. At least he’d seen Yim make it out safe, for now.
“He’s hiding behind a table. He’s armed be careful” one of the shooters warned his partners. They sounded ready to close in and take him out.
Tutor searched for Keng and Mr. Anada. Enemies or not, they could’ve joined forces to stop this chaos. But a quick sweep of the room told him they were gone.
~~~~
“You’ve got to send someone in!”
Yim had made it outside. The moment he saw the first security team, he rushed them begging them to enter.
“We understand but first we need details, what’s happening inside? We have to assess the situation before we move in" The security guard said and then pressed a finger to his earpiece
They were calling for backup. Too slow.
Inside Tutor had revealed his weapon. To the attackers that made him a target.
Yim did something he’d never imagined himself doing. Using his father’s secretary, he’d gotten Thomas’ private number. If anyone could arrive fast and help, it would be him. After the call, Yim quickly called Kong and gave him the bare facts.
Exactly ten minutes later, a black SUV screeched to a stop beside Yim and the security team. Thomas stepped out immediately, suit still immaculate—he must have come straight from a meeting.
“What’s happening in there? Where’s Tutor?” Thomas demanded, slightly out of breath.
“Gunfire started out of nowhere. They were after me” Yim said, voice weakening with every word.
“Tutor got a gun past security. He exposed himself so I could get out” He admitted carefully, wary of how Thomas would react.
“And these idiots” Thomas snapped, glaring at the guards scrambling without direction.
"What are they doing instead of going inside?”
“Yim!” Kong’s voice rang out as he ran up to them.
“You okay?” He asked, gripping his cousin’s shoulders scanning him head to toe.
“I’m fine” Yim tried to reassure him, though his eyes shifted back to Thomas. The younger brother was staring at the entrance, clearly hatching a plan.
Suddenly, fresh gunfire rattled from inside.
“I need you two to distract them” Thomas whispered. Both Yim and Kong looked at him, confused.
“What exactly are you planning?” Kong asked suspiciously. He didn’t like the sound of this at all.
“I’m going in. Just make sure the guards don’t notice me” Thomas said flatly, only deepening their confusion.
“You’re going in alone? Do you even have a weapon?” Kong pressed, incredulous.
“Even if you slip inside, what then? It's four rifles against one handgun” Kong added quickly, laying out the grim odds.
“Like I said, make sure they’re not looking.”
~~~
By the time the shooters reached Tutor’s table he was gone. He’d slipped a few tables forward, buying himself time.
“We’re wasting too much time. The heir’s gone. What now?” One of them asked nervously, beginning to realize their plan was unraveling.
“He’s losing a lot of blood” Another warned, glancing at the man Tutor had shot.
“We’re already in deep. We've got nothing left to lose” Said the coldest of the four, the one who’d never shown an ounce of fear toward Tutor. It was clear that him along with the wounded man, were leading this operation.
“If we can’t take the heir, we’ll take someone else” His voice turned hard.
“Mr. Koraphat, you’ve got five seconds to show yoursel or we take someone else and hurt them in your place”
Chapter Text
Kong wanted to refuse Thomas’s crazy idea, but before he could protest Thomas was already heading toward the compound’s rear entrance.
Kong had no clue how to distract the guards. He watched Thomas creeping closer and closer to his target when suddenly Yim dropped onto him out of nowhere. Damn it. He should’ve warned him first.
“Yim! Wake up!” Kong slipped into character instantly, catching him at the last second and raising his voice to draw attention.
“He’s passed out! Someone call for help!” Kong shouted, panic in his tone. A few guards immediately sprinted off to find assistance.
When one of them tried to help Kong hold Yim who was already slipping from his arms, Kong suddenly let go sending him crashing to the floor.
“Look what you’ve done! He could get worse! Help me lift him, you can see I can’t manage alone!” Kong barked at another guard to assist. The more people distracted, the better. At least, he hoped so.
~~~~
“Mr. Koraphat, your time is up” Their leader announced, making Tutor hesitate on his next move.
“This is on you, Korapat—don’t say we didn’t warn you” The leader added, just as the back exit door swung wide open with a loud crash. Finally, they sent some help Tutor thought.
But before he could even move, the sound of a scuffle broke out. Too quiet for backup. He prayed Yim hadn’t decided to act on his own again.
“I think you’ll be very interested to see who we’re taking instead" One of the gunmen sneered. He sounded far too pleased with himself.
“Tutor, stay down! Don’t move!”
Thomas?
Tutor leapt to his feet, spotting two gunmen holding Thomas—one pressing a rifle to his head, the other covering anyone who might interfere. The wounded man and his helper began heading toward a side door that had been hidden until now.
“Let him go! Take me instead!” Tutor shouted immediately, cursing himself for not stepping out sooner.
“Too late” Their leader grinned nastily. “Your little brother’s worth more to us. Start thinking of a number big enough to make us even consider letting him go.”
“Drop your weapon and kick it over” The man ordered. Tutor didn’t move.
The leader chuckled and turned to Thomas, slamming a fist into his gut. Thomas doubled over, forcing him to drop the only weapon that had given them a fighting chance.
They dragged Thomas toward the door where the other two were already waiting. Tutor saw they weren’t bluffing. If he made a single move, they’d shoot.
He didn’t take his eyes off Thomas for a second—then he suddenly caught Thomas glancing upward. Before Tutor could follow his gaze, Thomas lunged, fighting off his captors just long enough to break free.
Gunfire erupted from the upper floor. Tutor looked up to see Meen, his bodyguard opening fire. In seconds, the last two men holding Thomas were down. Silence fell. Thomas stood there, breathing hard making sure they were both out cold, then shot Tutor a quick grin.
Tutor wanted to both tackle him in relief and punch him for barging in here. But before he could reach him, another shot rang out across the hall.
Everyone screamed and ducked under the tables again. The first gunman—the one who had left with the wounded man—was back. And he’d just shot Thomas.
Chapter Text
Tutor saw Thomas drop to the floor from the impact. He lunged for the spot where he’d thrown his gun earlier and opened fire in sync with Meen above, taking out the remaining shooters.
He sprinted to Thomas and lifted his head. His eyes swept over him quickly—he’d been hit in the upper arm. Blood poured out. Tutor yanked a tablecloth from the nearest table, tore off a strip and wrapped it tight as a tourniquet.
Gunfire echoed in rapid bursts, one after the other, freezing Yim and Kong in place. The worst possible thoughts raced through their heads. Why the hell wasn’t anyone moving toward there?
Just as Yim was about to scream at the head of security who had stood there like a statue for ten solid minutes—the guards finally broke into a run, rushing toward the entrance. About damn time.
They turned toward the gate and saw terrified guests spilling out, sprinting to safety. Medics, summoned earlier by security were already waiting and began treating them on the spot. So far, none of the evacuees were seriously hurt. Just scrapes and bruises, most from panic and chaos.
“Why aren’t they coming out?” Yim muttered, glancing at Kong. His cousin’s arms were crossed, but his eyes betrayed the worry he tried to hide.
Then four medics emerged, carrying a stretcher. Someone was badly hurt. Both Yim and Kong bolted toward it—only to be stopped cold by security guards forming a barrier.
The moment they saw Tutor step out with Meen at his side and no sign of Thomas—they understood.
“Tutor, are you okay?” Yim rushed to him, slipping past the guards. His eyes darted over him, spotting the scratches and small cuts across his face and arms.
“I’m fine. But Thomas…” Tutor’s gaze flicked to the stretcher. Thomas lay there clutching his arm, groaning in pain.
“Mr. Koraphat, you need first aid as well. Please, come with us” One of the medics said.
“I’m going with my brother to the hospital” Tutor answered firmly, already moving toward the ambulance.
“I’m afraid you can’t. We need your statement about what happened inside. We’ll need his too” The medic said, nodding toward Yim.
“I’ll go with Thomas. I’ll keep you updated” Kong interjected. Tutor hesitated for a few seconds before finally giving a reluctant nod.
Kong paced anxiously outside the emergency room. In the ambulance, Thomas had groaned through every bump and swerve as the paramedics checked him for internal damage. Kong had been forced to let Thomas crush his hand in a death grip, silently offering it as an anchor while he writhed in pain. Thomas was strong, too strong. Kong swore his hand might actually fall off.
He didn’t know what to feel. His life wasn’t in immediate danger today unlike them, but the emotional storm raging inside him left him shaken. The care, the pull he felt toward Thomas—it only grew stronger, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. His father would be arriving soon with Mr. Pharinyakorn when he will discover Kong had come here—and worse, had been the one to escort Thomas. He’d probably face hell itself.
After surgery to remove the bullet and stitch the wound in Thomas’s arm, the doctors had to suture another injury. A grazing shot that hadn’t penetrated deeply but still required care.
“There’s no way I’m staying here for three days” Thomas muttered through clenched teeth as the nurse worked on his shoulder.
“Mr. Koraphat, you can’t leave. You just had a bullet removed and stitches put in. You lost a lot of blood we still need to monitor your condition” The nurse reasoned. He looked ready to argue again, but Kong cut him off.
“The show’s over Rambo. You’re staying—no arguments” Kong scolded, arms crossed. His eyes blazed with frustration, but beneath it was raw concern.
“And since when did you become the one in charge of me?” Thomas smirked, deliberately provoking him.
“Since you decided you could save the world on your own” Kong shot back, watching the nurse tie off the bandages around his shoulder.
“So this is it, huh? You’re officially claiming me now? I knew it was only a matter of time before you fell for my charm—ouch!”
The nurse tightened the final knot on the bandage, forcing a hiss of pain from Thomas and cutting his teasing short.
“Thank you” Kong murmured to her before she left the room, leaving them alone.
Thomas’s gaze lingered on him still standing there with arms crossed, eyes dropping briefly to the ruined, bloodstained suit on the floor.
“Come here” Thomas said softly, his cocky tone gone. His eyes were gentler than Kong had ever seen them.
Kong hesitated, then stepped closer. When he was within reach, Thomas tugged him forward with his good arm, pulling him down into his lap.
“Thomas…”
Kong froze, unsure how to respond. But Thomas’s arm slid firmly around his waist, silencing him, forcing his eyes to meet his.
“It’s okay. You don’t have to worry" Thomas whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to his head. Kong rested his forehead on Thomas’s shoulder and wrapped his arms around him.
Yim couldn’t take his eyes off Tutor, seated shirtless in the ambulance while medics tended to both of them. His injuries were minor—scratches from shattered glass, nothing serious. Tutor’s weren’t as severe as Thomas’s but still worse than Yim’s. Deep bruises, a fractured rib that stabbed at him with every breath and a grazing wound at his side that bled stubbornly.
When the medics finally finished, Tutor tried to slip his jacket back on.
“I know I look good, but you don’t have to stare” Tutor joked weakly, trying to lighten the mood.
Yim didn’t answer. He just kept staring—until finally lowering his eyes.
“I’m sorry.”
Tutor blinked, caught off guard. He had no idea where that came from. Yim opened his mouth to explain, but no words followed. Nothing would come out.
Tutor tried to rise, to close the distance between them but pain shot through him. He doubled over, clutching his side.
“Don’t move! You’ll make it worse” Yim panicked, dropping to a crouch in front of him. His hands hovered, checking the wounds making sure they hadn’t reopened.
Tutor’s eyes softened as he watched him. When Yim’s gaze finally met his, it hit him like a storm. His chest fluttered with butterflies, drowning in the warmth of Tutor’s expression.
Tutor raised a hand to his cheek. Yim shut his eyes, surrendering to the touch.
“Where’s my son? Yim!”
His father’s furious voice thundered from outside.
Chapter Text
Tutor took a step back, the moment was ruined. He tried to cover himself as much as possible with the top of the suit and got out of the ambulance where they received first aid quickly. Yim had no time to respond from how fast the latter reacted, within a few seconds his father appeared in front of him.
"What the hell happened?" He asked horrified, observing Yim with his eyes. The moment Yim got out he put his hands on his shoulders and made another check up.
"I don't really know myself"
Yim didn't know where to start, so much happened in such a short time. His mind was still on Tutor and how he left in a blink of an eye. He wanted to talk with him badly and sort things out, but he knew Tutor was still mad at his father and there was no way of saparating his anger with the fact he had no choice but to support his father.
"Give me the details right now" His father turned to one of the security guards from their company.
"Four intruders barged in with weapons, turned out they were looking for your son" The guard explained. The expression on his face indicated that he was surprised and at the same time that he could think of several people who were capable of doing it.
"I heard that security was a mess, why the fuck is that?" His father always created a calm and restrained atmosphere, he hardly curses. Right now he was fuming, he's been like this a lot lately, regardless of the fact that they tried to kill Yim today.
"The policy was that all guards stay behind. They didn't react because it was an unexpected move and tried to understand the situation first. The Koraphat brothers are the ones who saved them" The guard finished his explanation and the expression on his father was one he hadn't seen for a while. He was stunned. Never in his life he would have expected them to do such a thing after what happened between them.
Before his father could process everything Mr. Jirojmontri called out loud.
"Where the hell is Kong?" He yelled while seeking him around.
~~~~~
"Stop staring or I'll choke you with the towel" Kong threatened while whiping Thomas's upper body with a damp cloth.
The doctor ordered not to shower with the bandages on and since Kong started doing it, Thomas hasn't stopped staring.
"You can't blame me with this kind of view in front of me" Thomas answered with a cheeky smile. It made his cheeks flush badly.
"Will you ever say something that's not annoying?" Kong muttered under his breath.
He was blushing furiously, he is not used to this kind of dynamics with Thomas. He felt attracted to him from first sight there's no doubt, but being together in an enviroment that wasn't their comapnies or job related in general with his flirting did things to him.
"Liar. I know you like every shitty word I say. You're way too whipped for me" Thomas said and when Kong looked at him ready to scold, he stopped himself. Thomas was looking at him with such a beautiful smile and warmth in his eyes he swore he could melt on the spot.
"If you know why did you disappear on me?" Kong whispered in a hurt tone. It made the latter to look at him with confusion.
"I understand that you were mad at Mr. Pharinyakorn and my father for making business with your family. But please try and saparate me from them, I am really not involved in those decisions. I'm only in charge of my department and hiding their shitty mafia things. I will never hurt you" Kong tried to show him how sincere he is. If only he could, he would only do things related to his job as an accountant.
"To be honest I was thinking it was a part of a plan" Thomas confessed his assumption. Kong raised an eyebrow in question.
"I thought that your approach to me and your feelings were a pretense as part of a plan to get closer to me" Thomas said and it looks like it's still haunting him.
"Masmas believe me that I'm not like them. I am truly feeling something for you and I will never use you for their company. I promise you" Kong was determined to prove his feelings. He was not going to give up on such a man because of his criminal family.
"How did you just call me?" Thomas asked in a smile, satisfaction written all over his face.
"For God's sake. From all the things I said you got stuck on that? Did you even listen to the rest?" Kong said annoyed, he really wanted to bang his head against the wall sometimes.
"I can do two things at once. I got stuck at that cute nickname you created for me and listened" Thomas said cupping his cheek suddenly with his healthy hand, making their foreheads to be against one another.
"So tell me, are we together now?" Thomas asked, caressing his cheek lightly.
"If it's up to me we are together since the party" Kong answered against his lips, trying his best not to close the distance between them.
"You will have to deal with your father" Thomas sighed, he already noticed how complicated their relationship was. He didn't want to be the reason to make it worse.
"Trust me, nothing can make him proud or happy with me. I will no longer try to please him" Kong decided firmly. He tried all those years to be the best son he could, it was never enough and lately he realized that it never will.
"I trust you. Please tell me if anything happens, if things get bad you can always come to me" Thomas said and kissed him lightly on the lips.
"Okay masmas" Kong agreed with a smile, feeling his heart content with the man beside him.
Chapter Text
Yim arrived early in the morning at the company headquarters. His father had told him to rest after everything that happened, but he couldn’t stay at home doing nothing. His mind was consumed with thoughts of Tutor and the way he had acted toward him. The way he saved him without hesitation and later, in the ambulance the gentleness and care in his touch. All of it was driving Yim insane. He was also deeply surprised by the brothers. Even the way Thomas had thrown himself in front of danger to save Tutor was something he hadn’t expected at all.
He knew they were close, but not to that extent. It was rare to see a bond without ulterior motives, built on such genuine trust. In their world, suspicion was second nature even toward those closest to you. Relationships like that were almost unheard of, especially within families. More often than not, the worst betrayals came from the people you trusted most. Yim was right with the thought—after all, Keng and Latte had betrayed them.
Entering his office, Yim felt like his head was about to burst. He hadn’t spoken to Kong since yesterday and didn’t even know if he had come in today. When he asked his secretary to call him and she said nothing about his absence, he realized Kong must have arrived.
A few minutes later, Kong stepped into the office and shut the door behind him. He was still wearing the same clothes as yesterday.
“You were with Thomas this whole time?” Yim asked, surprised. He had assumed that after Kong’s father discovered he had gone with Thomas to the hospital, he would have dragged him back home immediately.
“Yeah. I didn’t want to leave him alone when he can barely do anything by himself” Kong replied, yawning as he leaned back in his chair.
“Your dad nearly had a heart attack when he found out where you went” Yim said. He couldn’t forget the look on his father’s face when one of the guards revealed where Kong had disappeared to.
“Tell me about it.” Kong sighed. “He showed up at the hospital with your dad. He almost dragged me out himself, but your father told him to leave me alone” His tone suggested he was still surprised by that outcome.
“He probably did it because they helped me yesterday. And because it was you. If it had been me taking Tutor, he would’ve had my head” Yim said, letting out a weary sigh. Everything had grown so complicated.
“Not that Thomas’s guards would’ve let him touch me, but sure” Kong shrugged, a small smile tugging at his lips.
“Am I missing something?” Yim asked. Kong looked oddly relaxed, despite the fact his father could show up at any moment and cause chaos.
“Thomas and I talked things through. We’re together now” Kong said nonchalantly, revealing nothing more.
Yim remembered how ever since he’d taken his role, Kong had never stopped talking about Thomas. Still, he hadn’t expected things to unfold this quickly. He knew about the kiss at the party, of course, and had noticed how Thomas always defended Kong against his father during joint meetings. But he never thought Kong would win him over so fast.
“Do you really think it’ll work? We’re still rivals, and after everything between our parents, things are only going to escalate. Do you think Thomas can separate the two?” Yim asked, though what he really meant was about himself and Tutor. How could Thomas make the separation when Tutor couldn’t?
“We talked about that. One of the reasons he disappeared after the party was because of what happened with their brothers. He thought me getting close to him was all part of our parents’ plan to use him, to spy, to hurt them. But I told him I had nothing to do with their decisions, that I’d never do something like that. He also figured out himself what a fucked up relationship I have with my dad. So… I hope it’ll work” Kong said with such hope, but Yim couldn’t help but feel a bitter pang of envy.
He could never persuade Tutor the way Kong had persuaded Thomas. He couldn’t claim he had no part in those decisions because that was his role. To make decisions. To choose strategies that hurt their rivals, to plot ways to overpower them. He would never be able to promise Tutor otherwise.
~~~~
“Thomas, are you sure about this? Do you really trust him?” Tutor asked skeptically as he lay on another hospital bed on his brother's left side.
After the initial treatment and the testimony he was required to give, the doctors had decided to keep him also hospitalized for observation on his broken rib and injuries.
“I can’t trust anyone a hundred percent" Thomas admitted. “But I do feel like he’s being honest and real with me. At first it was hard to tell if his intentions were genuine, but I believe they are. I know he doesn’t actually like what he does. That’s why he has so many problems with his father. So, I guess that’s another reason to believe he’s not lying” This time, Thomas chose not to hold anything back from Tutor, speaking openly instead of staying vague.
Being with Kong meant Thomas had to make sure Tutor understood—not about them being a couple, but about trust. Tutor needed to be aware, Thomas also wanted to know how he felt about Kong, because closeness between them meant access to knowledge that could one day be used against them. It's not that he will reveal information to him just like that, but he will listen and be exposed to things.
“From what I’ve seen, he really does seem different from the rest of them. He doesn’t belong in that world. He’s too good, I’ve noticed how hard his father makes things for him. And he really does hate Mark. For that alone, I respect him” Tutor said after reflecting on every interaction he’d had with Kong.
“That bastard. I can’t stand him” Thomas muttered with barely contained rage. Just hearing the name was enough to set him off.
“What’s your deal with him?” Tutor asked curiously, shifting so he could sit up and look at Thomas more directly.
“From the moment we crossed paths, we clashed. He made moves on Kong right in front of me, and apparently, he hasn’t stopped harassing him every chance he gets” Thomas answered angrily. He hated that they had to work in the same company.
“Okay. Got it.” Tutor’s voice hardened. He hated men like that, and from that moment, Mark had earned his place on his blacklist.
“Thanks, Tutor. I appreciate it” Thomas said, reaching for a glass of water that was just out of his reach.
“Anytime, little brother. I hope it works out for you. Just… be careful not to lose your temper too much. You’ll need to keep your cool or else you’ll only cause Kong more trouble” Tutor replied, getting up from his bed to finally hand the poor idiot the glass of water he’d been struggling to reach for so long.
Chapter Text
Kong had been waiting all day for the moment he could finally leave work and go to Thomas. By sheer luck, he had managed to avoid his father, thanks to a full schedule of meetings his father had outside the city. He wasn’t supposed to see him until tomorrow.
On his way, he decided to stop by his own house, to shower and change clothes. He hadn’t been home since yesterday, and the disgusting feeling of wearing the same clothes for two days straight had become unbearable. He also knew Tutor was supposed to be with Thomas, so he picked up food for all of them on the way. Those two picky brothers, despite staying in private hospital rooms with better-than-average meals, refused to touch the provided food.
When Kong entered the room, he froze. A stranger, someone he had never seen before was talking to Thomas. The man’s tone was overly eager, and he stood far too close for Kong’s liking. Thomas, still confined to his bed, stared at him with a confused and slightly irritated look, the same expression he had worn the first time Kong ever spoke to him. It was the look Thomas gave whenever he had no patience for small talk or people wasting his time.
Kong glanced around. Tutor wasn’t in the room, but his suit was still draped by the bedside, meaning he hadn’t gone far.
“Excuse me? Who are you?”
Kong cleared his throat before speaking, making sure to announce his presence.
The stranger turned toward him, and Kong immediately disliked what he saw.
“Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Kong. I’m Namping, the new secretary for Mr. Pharinyakorn” He introduced himself with a polite smile and extended his hand.
“And what exactly are you doing here?” Kong asked confused, though he accepted the handshake.
He knew his uncle and cousin had been searching for additional secretaries for a while now, he had been waiting far too long for this moment. Finally, the extra work that their current staff couldn’t handle would no longer fall on him. About damn time.
“Mr. Pharinyakorn asked me to deliver a gift as a token of gratitude to the Koraphat family” Namping explained, then turned his attention back to Thomas.
“I hope that next time we meet, your bodyguards will recognize me and let me in without much trouble. As I said, please feel free to reach out anytime, no matter the hour. Mr. Pharinyakorn wishes to see you and your brother in person, to thank you both formally. I wish you a speedy recovery, Mr. Thomas.” He said with a smile, not breaking eye contact with him even for a second. The man was flirting by his expressions and words with an unsuspecting gentleness. But he noticed it. With that, Namping offered a slight bow toward Kong before heading out.
Kong quickly set the bags of food down on the small table.
“Baby, are you okay?” Thomas asked confused, raising the bed’s backrest so he could sit up.
“What the hell was that?” Kong demanded, arms folded, his voice sharp with anger.
“You mean that weirdo? I have no idea. My guards said he came on behalf of your office. When he insisted on coming in, we had him checked he was clean” Thomas replied, not bothered after he left.
“The next time you let someone flirt with you, it’ll be the end of you” Kong muttered, lips pouting. After catching Thomas’s look, he turned back to arrange the food on the table.
“Don’t worry baby, none of them can be compared to you. I’ve always said your company only hires weirdos and unbearable people” Thomas teased with a chuckle.
Kong shot him a deadly glare.
"Except for you, of course” Thomas quickly added with a conciliatory smile. He tried swinging one leg over the bed, preparing to stand.
“Don’t you dare. Get back in bed. If you want to move around it’ll be after you’ve eaten and I’ll help you. For now, you need food” Kong scolded, leaving Thomas staring at him in admiration. God, he was so cute when he was angry.
“Hey, Kong, I didn’t know you were here” Tutor entered the room with a nurse, who was helping remove the IV line he had been dragging around.
“Perfect timing. I brought food, come sit down” Kong said as he finished setting up the small table between the brothers’ beds.
Tutor sat down with a plate in his lap and began eating. He quickly noticed how Kong, instead of sitting by Thomas’s bedside had chosen the chair next to him and was feeding him a little aggressively. Tutor had no idea what had just happened while he was gone, but one thing was clear someone had Thomas’s leash tightly in hand.
~~~
Meanwhile, Yim was in his office, signing documents for a major deal he had just closed with one of the Koraphat family’s competitors. Another step that would guarantee Tutor’s hatred. Wonderful.
Suddenly, the door burst open and Kong stormed in.
“Remember you’ve got a cousin and a job to do?” Yim teased. It was half a joke, half pure jealousy.
“When exactly did your father’s new secretary start working? Was today his first day?” Kong asked, scowling as he dropped into a chair.
“Yes, why? If I’m not mistaken, he delivered something to their hospital room earlier. Why? Did something happen?” Yim asked, concern flickering in his eyes. He wanted so badly to ask about Tutor’s condition, but he held himself back.
“What happened is that along with the delivery, he decided to deliver himself and hit on Thomas” Kong said with an eye roll, making Yim laugh.
“What did you expect? Practically the whole world has eyes for him and Tutor” Yim replied. And it was true wherever those brothers went, people fell for them instantly. Kong had been right from the start all of them were undeniably attractive.
“Easy for you to say. Let’s see how you react when someone tries that with Tutor in front of you” Kong shot back, making Yim raising a brow at him.
“I know there’s something between you two it’s impossible to hide. But I also know how complicated things are for you. I’m sorry” Kong added, this time in a calmer tone. He had always been good at reading situations and people—especially Yim. He was grateful for every moment he had him around.
“How is he feeling?” Yim finally asked, giving voice to the question that had been eating at him. Kong already knew the situation there was no point pretending anymore.
“He’s fine. Yesterday when he came to visit Thomas, he had to be re-checked on the recommendation of the team who had assessed you two back there. They decided to keep him overnight just in case, but he should be discharged any moment now and head back home.”
“And Thomas?” Yim asked, still flipping through documents and signing.
“He’ll be okay. He still can’t use his arm properly, but the wound wasn’t too deep. He should recover fully soon enough” Kong said with a sigh. How badly he wished he could just be free to stay with him without hiding.
“Be careful with the time you spend there. People have already started watching you. And tomorrow your father comes back” Yim warned. He knew exactly the storm his uncle was going to bring.
“Did you really have to remind me?” Kong groaned in frustration, dropping his head onto the desk and covering it with his hands in defeat.
I know I'm concentrating on Thomas and Kong right now but that's because of the storyline. There will be more Tutor Yim when the time is right for them I'll make it up to you
Chapter Text
All Yim wanted right now was to climb to the top floor of their building and dive headfirst off it. At the moment, he was stuck in a meeting with his father and the two “puppies,” as Thomas liked to call them. He couldn’t believe that nickname had managed to stick in his head so much that he was actually using it. Joining them too were Mr. Anada, Keng, and Latte.
It was their first meeting since signing the deal. A month had passed and now they were reviewing the achievements.
The amount of nonsense pouring out of Mr. Anada’s mouth was more than Yim could endure. He honestly couldn’t tell if he was sitting in a criminals’ meeting as they truly were or in a sales presentation with an advertising agent.
Much to Yim’s dismay, they had managed to reach their goals. Compared to the recent results of Tutor and Thomas, this month they had gotten sixty-five percent of their so called "clients" to pay the full amount up front. No delays, no installment plans.
That meant they saved on the costs of sending people to deal with wasting time on threats, intimidation, or wrecking property as a warning. Greater efficiency. That was all they cared about right now.
After the meeting, he met his additional new secretary- First One. He also learned that First One and Namping were very close friends, having landed the job together. Kong had already warned him about his father's new secretary, but from Yim’s brief impression Namping did his job well and seemed quite pleasant. Of course, Kong wasn’t the most objective judge here. The fact they already knew each other didn’t thrill him, but as long as they did their work properly, he didn’t care what they did outside of it.
In the past two days they had closed a large number of new deals in the company, which meant the accounting department was drowning in work. Yim knew Kong was overloaded. Not only making sure his people did their jobs, closing contracts and handling calculations correctly, but also busy hiding and covering up the illegal deals. He was the only one who could be trusted with such things. He had asked for help before, but there was no one reliable enough not to leak information. Sometimes Yim wondered who carried the heavier weight of expectations himself, or Kong.
~~~
Two weeks had passed since the charity event incident. From what Yim understood, Thomas had recovered and returned to work as usual, despite Kong’s and Tutor’s protests. After endless pleading from Namping and First One who practically chased after Tutor and Thomas they finally managed to set up a meeting.
From Mark’s father, Yim gathered that he wanted to propose a new deal to bring them back into business together. Since their split, their company's stock had dropped. Yim opposed it at all costs, there was no way in hell they’d ever agree to work together again. No matter what was offered. It was going to be embarrassing.
And yet, he agreed to attend the meeting. Because no matter how much he tried to deny it, he wanted to see Tutor. If it weren’t for the secret updates and photos he begged Kong to send him, he would have lost it long ago.
Before the meeting with the brothers, Yim decided to visit his cousin. He’d barely seen him lately, with how buried he was under the department’s workload. When he arrived, he found him on the verge of breaking down. As if he didn’t already have enough to deal with, Yim caught him in the middle of an argument with Mark.
"I’m not going to any business trip with you, forget it” Kong snapped in frustration. He didn’t look well. His appearance was as always perfectly put together, but his face was tired and he even looked a little weak. For the first time, he’d been forced to stay several sleepless nights in a row because of the workload. Yim decided he would have to speak with his father about finding someone to help. He’d even argue with Mr. Jirojmontri if he had to.
“Too bad. Your father and Mr. Pharinyakorn already agreed” Mark replied, folding his arms with a smug expression spreading across his face.
“As if I don’t know you’re the one who suggested it. The last thing my father or Mr. Pharinyakorn care about is me showing up to your precious meetings” Kong shot back, grabbing a freshly printed stack of papers and heading to his desk, Mark trailing after him.
“These meetings are what bring in all the money we make. We need someone there to crunch the numbers and convince our partners in real time how beneficial it all is, when they try to corner us. Don’t worry, I already booked us a suite at the best hotel in the area” Mark replied, as if he hadn’t heard a single word Kong had said. Carrying on as if he were having a completely different conversation.
“I’d rather die than go with you” Kong spat, dropping into his chair and stacking the papers neatly, not even bothering to make eye contact.
“I don’t think you understand. You don’t really—”
“Mark, the interview candidates are here. They’re waiting for you” Yim interrupted, deciding this was the perfect timing to step in and stop Kong from snapping completely. Though by the look on his face, he was already almost there.
“Fine. I’ll talk to you later” Mark said, straightening up from where he had been leaning over Kong’s desk.
“No need. This discussion is over” Kong replied firmly. Before Mark could answer, Yim spoke to Kong again, forcing Mark to move on.
“What now?” Kong muttered in defeat, finally raising his head to meet Yim’s eyes for the first time since he had arrived.
“Nothing. I just wanted to see how you’re doing. Haven’t run into you much lately. And… I can see things aren’t good” Yim said carefully, though true to his family’s lack of tact the words came out harsher than he intended.
“I’ve been drowning in documents for a week, and apparently no one is trustworthy enough to help me with them. I have to oversee an entire department half of them total idiots. On top of that, I haven’t been able to see Thomas properly for days, partly because I can’t and partly because he decided to go back to work. So yes, things are not good” He spoke so fast that for a second Yim thought he was listening to a new rap track. Maybe he’d suggest him consider a music career later, if this kept up. His brain really was twisted sometimes.
“In another fifteen minutes you’ll see your lover, so relax. And I heard my father plans to invite them to stay for the New Year’s event we’re hosting tonight” Yim said, and Kong already seemed a little lighter. At least there was that.
And Yim wouldn’t lie—he was more than excited about the idea himself. For once this month, Mr. Sorntast had actually come up with something worth saying out loud.
Chapter Text
They sat in the conference room Yim, Kong, Mr. Pharinyakorn, Mr. Jirojmontri, and Mr. Sorntast. Mark couldn't attend since he was in an important meeting, and truthfully, Yim didn't understand why his father and Kong's father even needed to be there. It was supposed to be just him and his own father, thanking the brothers for what had happened that day.
The whole thing irritated him more than ever, how they always came as a package deal in every matter involving his father. How was Yim ever supposed to take control of the business when those two were always looming in the background?
It was the first time his father had ever waited for someone else in this room. One rule he had always lived by and taught Yim to follow was simple: always make others wait for you, never the other way around.
Now, it was 7:25 p.m. The meeting was scheduled for 7:15.
In all the meetings Yim had attended with the Koraphat brothers, they had never once been late. Quite the opposite, it almost seemed like they had a thing about punctuality, maybe even a mild obsession. They clearly didn't like lateness. So Yim assumed this delay was deliberate, a way to show that they now held the upper hand.
He glanced at his father sitting beside him and noticed his foot tapping restlessly against the floor. That habit, one Yim had clearly inherited always showed up when either of them was nervous or irritated.
"They've got the nerve to keep us waiting after we sent them an invitation and a present" Mr. Sorntast said irritably, his voice sharp enough to cut through the air.
Yim frowned. We sent them? Wasn't it his father who reached out to them to thank them for the rescue? What did these two even have to do with it?
"Those little bastards think they can just disrespect us like that" Mr. Jirojmontri muttered arms crossed, his tone low but simmering with restrained anger, as if deliberately pouring more fuel into the fire.
"Those 'little bastards' saved my son's life" Mr. Pharinyakorn interjected firmly, turning to both men. "While your so-called new allies, the ones you wanted to replace them with were nowhere to be found when it actually mattered. So if we have to wait, we'll wait."
Yim thought he must have imagined it. Had his father really just said that? Had he actually defended the brothers in front of them?
A strange warmth spread in Yim's chest. He wouldn't lie it felt good. The fact that his father was willing to swallow a bit of his pride because they had saved him meant something.
"Sir, they're here" One of the guards announced, opening the door.
Yim's father nodded and told him to let them in without any security check. Another surprise. He was clearly bending more rules than usual tonight.
"We ran into something unexpected on the way" Tutor said lightly once he sat across from them. He didn't apologize outright, it was more of an offhand remark, but the charm in his tone made it sound deliberate.
He was dressed as always, in a tailored black suit . Though this time from a different designer paired with a white tie and a sleek Prada pin. Thomas, seated beside him wore only the shirt from a black suit with a matching tie. Yim assumed it was because of his injured arm he probably still couldn't dress properly.
"How are you both feeling after the incident? I know you probably don't need anything, but if there's any way we can help, just say the word" Yim's father said, studying the brothers carefully.
"I'm perfectly fine" Tutor replied easily. "Just a few surface injuries healed within days. Thomas is still recovering, but he's healing at an impressive pace" He smiled warmly at Thomas, while the younger brother kept a perfectly composed poker face, just as he had from the moment they walked in.
"We hope you enjoyed the gift we sent as a token of appreciation" Mr. Sorntast said, his smile thin and false as if he hadn't been trashing them minutes earlier. Yim could hardly stand the man.
"Not yet" Tutor replied smoothly. "Once Thomas fully recovers and the doctor gives him permission to celebrate and drink, we'll enjoy it properly. I promise." He could've been a diplomat, Yim thought. That effortless calm and that cool composure were both infuriating and magnetic.
"If you don't mind, we'd like to offer you a deal—"
"Actually, we do mind" Thomas interrupted, his tone calm but sharp, cutting right through Mr. Sorntast's words. "We thought this was just a reconciliation meeting, nothing more."
The air tensed immediately. Yim felt himself shrink a little in his seat, Thomas could be too blunt sometimes. But the look on Kong's face was something else entirely. He'd been quiet and tired the whole evening, but now he looked like he might jump on Thomas across the table beacuse of how much he liked the twisted expression on Mr. Sorntast face at the moment.
"It's been a difficult few weeks for us" Tutor said, stepping in smoothly after his brother's remark. "Given everything that's happened, it's only natural that we rebuild trust gradually. For now, we'll wait."
"No problem at all" Mr. Pharinyakorn said in a relaxed tone, the tension fading from his voice. "I do hope you'll accept my invitation to stay for the New Year's party tonight. You can't refuse me."
"We wouldn't miss it" Tutor replied with a charming smile.

The night carried the low hum of music and murmured conversations.
The company's club was split as always, the lower floor for employees and the upper VIP level reserved for executives and those close to them. Tonight, Tutor and Thomas had been granted access upstairs. They sat at one of the tables alongside Yim's father and a few senior colleagues.
At the bar, Yim and Kong were on their second cocktail, though the evening had only just begun.
"Maybe stop staring and go talk to him already?" Kong said, noticing how Yim's gaze hadn't left Tutor for at least ten minutes.
"Is it my fault he looks that good in Prada?" Yim replied, still not tearing his eyes away from the older brother.
"Then do something about it. Like you said, if you don't plenty of others will"
Kong took another sip, amused.
"And what exactly am I supposed to do? We haven't spoken in two weeks, and even before that things weren't great. Should I just walk up there in front of my father and drag him into one of the upstairs rooms?" Yim snorted, finally breaking his stare.
"That's what I'd do to Thomas right now" Kong admitted shamelessly with a shrug.
"Who are you and what did you do with my quiet, polite cousin?" Yim laughed.
"I'd go talk to him if it weren't for the two pairs of eyes drilling into my back" Kong muttered annoyed.
Yim turned his head and spotted Mr. Jirojmontri and Mark sitting two tables away, both staring directly at Kong.
"He's obsessed with you, I'm starting to get worried" Yim said under his breath.
He'd known it was bad, but not this bad. Not until he started spending every day at the company.
"About time you noticed" Kong sighed, rubbing his face wearily. Tonight he wore contact lenses instead of his usual glasses, probably for the party.
"Hey, baby"
The familiar voice made both of them turn. Thomas stood behind Kong, not too close and not too far, leaning casually against the bar.
"Good thing you came. I was two seconds away from walking over there and dragging you over here" Kong said softly, his voice low and filled with longing.
"I would've thanked you. Another minute in that table and I'd have lost my mind" Thomas glanced toward the crowded table where Tutor sat, surrounded by what looked like a heated debate.
"You're terrible at pretending" Yim said. "No wonder Tutor's the one in charge."
"And you're terrible at pretending you don't want my brother" Thomas shot back, smirking.
"One-Zero to Thomas" Kong declared, grinning affectionately at him.
"Such an objective judge really. Admit it Kong, your boyfriend is hella impulsive" Yim said in a teasing smile.
"I know and I love it" Kong said dreamily. "The look on Mark's father was worth everything. You were so hot when you said that" Kong added and stared at Thomas's lips openly.
"Ugh. I'm out of here" Yim muttered, standing up. "Try to get to a private room before everyone here is traumatized."
He left the bar and wandered toward one of the empty tables near the edge of the balcony. The city lights shimmered beyond the glass.
After a few minutes, he noticed Tutor approaching.
"Mind if I sit here?" Tutor asked, a whiskey glass in his hand. Yim showed with his head as a gesture of approval.
Tutor sat beside him carefully. Too far, Yim thought.
"You doing okay?"
The question surprised him.
"I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" He replied defensively, immediately regretting his tone. Instincts always in the way.
"I just wanted to check. After everything that happened that day you looked a bit shaken" Tutor said softly. His voice was warm and gentle. Nothing like the poised, unreadable man from business meetings. The contrast made Yim's chest tighten.
"And you? Are you really okay? I saw your bruises. They didn't look minor" Yim said carefully, trying to hide the worry in his voice. He probably failed miserabley at that.
"I'm still healing" Tutor admitted. "Barely feel them now. Thomas took it worse. He's still struggling with his arm, though he insists on working. The pain makes him restless" He sighed, guilt flickering in his eyes.
"It's not your fault, you know" Yim said quietly.
"None of it. Not the attack, not what happened to Thomas. You couldn't have known. If anyone's to blame it's me, I was the one who called him."
"You... called him?" Tutor asked, startled. He'd thought Thomas had shown up on his own.
"The security team wasn't doing anything. You were out there taking all the fire alone, I had to do something" Yim confessed. All the masks he'd planned to wear tonight crumbled the moment Tutor looked at him like that. Damn it.
"I really don't know what to do with you, Yim" Tutor said at last, eyes unreadable.
"What do you mean?"
"You frustrate me. Half the time I want you so badly I can hardly breathe and the other half, it feels like you hate me and that I can't stand you near me" He downed the rest of his drink in one swallow.
"You're not wrong" Yim said quietly. Tutor's head snapped toward him.
"I do hate you" He admitted, it was true.
"But I also want you. More than I should"
The air between them cracked with something dangerous, magnetic. Yim wasn't sure who moved first maybe both. One second they were staring at each other. The next, the world outside ceased to exist.
He didn't remember how they ended up upstairs in one of the private rooms. Only the sound of the lock clicking behind them brought him back for a heartbeat before Tutor's lips found his.
The kiss was fierce, breathless the kind that burns through every rule you thought you had. Yim's hands tangled in Tutor's dark hair pulling him closer, while Tutor's fingers gripped his waist eliminating the last inch of distance between them.
"This is going to be a mistake" Tutor murmured against his lips.
"Shut up and kiss me" Yim whispered back, kissing him as he unbuttons his shirt and throws the shirt to hell.
The moment Tutor put his tongue in his mouth, he lost it. They advanced towards the bed in the center of the room, Yim pushed Tutor so that he fell on it. He took off his own clothes and unbuttoned and zipped Tutor's pants so that they were both dressed only in boxers.
"I knew you were wild but not that much" Tutor said satisfied, pulling Yim so that he lies on top of him grabbing his ass, making him to moan.
"Are you going to do something about it?" Yim asked as his lips touched Tutor's. His hands can't stop touching his firm, toned upper body. Hell, how much he wanted it.
"Be sure I will" Tutor said, turning so that he was now above him, breathing heavily with dark eyes staring into his soul.
He grabbed Yim's hands that gripped his back tightly and pressed them against the bed next to his head. He couldn't believe that him dreaming about Tutor manhandling him is really happening. He began to spread warm, open kisses from his jawline to his chest area.
"Fuck Tutor" Yim sighs with pleasure and starts to move without being able to control himself.
Tutor just smiled and looked up at him as he advanced toward his goal. He continued until he reached his thigh, where he stopped and started licking and biting lightly. At this point, Yim began to moan loudly.
"I hope this room is soundproof, if not your reputation is ruined" Tutor chuckled as he was still working on his thigh.
"Come here" Yim said desperately, holding his hair tightly and making it rise to the level of his face, kissing him passionately.
Chapter Text
Thomas and Kong stayed seated at the bar. Keeping a respectable distance between them, far enough to look like two mere colleagues attending a company event together.
After a few quiet minutes alone once Yim had left, they noticed the two other brothers entering. This time, they came without Mr. Anada, only Keng and Latte walked in.
Thomas glanced toward the entrance, eyes sharp and focused, watching Latte wave enthusiastically at Kong calling him over.
"Give me a second, I'll be right back. He asked me to help with something work-related" Kong explained before heading toward the youngest brother.
Thomas didn't like it. Not one bit. But he couldn't say anything, they worked together and he had no right to interfere. No matter how much it bothered him, no matter how much he didn't want Kong involved with them.
He looked at his little brother and at Keng, he couldn't help but remember how things were a few months ago. Things had been far from perfect, but at least they'd been something. And whatever was left from their family was also breaking apart now.
"Thomas" Mr. Jirojmontri greeted him suddenly, taking the seat where his son had been sitting just moments earlier without asking.
"Can I get you a drink?" Thomas offered politely motioning to the bartender, but the older man shook his head. Thomas frowned slightly, curious.
"I have a question for you. Maybe a bit personal" Mr. Jirojmontri said cautiously. That immediately caught his attention, this was the first time in years the man had spoken to him about anything unrelated to work.
"What's going on between you and Kong?" he asked bluntly.
Thomas studied his expression carefully before answering. Judging by his tone, it didn't sound like he suspected anything romantic, at least not yet. He was trying to figure out what kind of "personal" question this was.
"Would you mind clarifying what you mean?" Thomas asked carefully. He preferred to know exactly what he was walking into before he said something he might regret later.
"I've noticed during our recent joint meetings that you seem to hold Kong in very high regard. I'm curious to understand why" Mr. Jirojmontri said in feigned innocence. Thomas couldn't understand how a father could look down on his own son like that , his own flesh and blood.
"What do you mean? From what I've seen since he joined the role, Kong has proven himself more competent than the people who held it before him. The information he provides is always reliable, and his projections are consistently accurate. I don't see any reason not to value his opinion" Thomas said honestly. He truly couldn't understand how he could fail to see that. He should be grateful to have a son that sharp, even if his talents weren't in the darker corners of business.
"We already have Mark, who's more experienced and communicates better. He's more professional overall. I'd appreciate it if in future projects we could have him present at the meetings again, instead of Kong like your recent request" Mr. Jirojmontri added smoothly.
That made Thomas's jaw tighten. The man was seriously insisting on excluding Kong and for what? For Mark?
"To be honest with you, I don't think there'll be any joint projects between us again" Thomas said flatly. "After everything your company did to us, we're not exactly eager to work with you again. Especially not while you still employ our brothers and our uncle who happen to be our direct competitors."
He reminded him of that small detail they seemed to treat as irrelevant. They had stabbed them in the back and he wasn't about to forget it.
"I understand where you're coming from" Mr. Jirojmontri said diplomatically. "But don't forget our companies are among the market leaders. It would be a great loss for both sides not to collaborate, especially with the new opportunities opening up."
Thomas guessed he'd come to talk to him and not Tutor because his older brother had already announced that Thomas would now also be taking the lead in decision-making.
Before he could respond, Kong returned and froze for a second when he saw his father sitting next to Thomas.
"Mark, come here for a moment" Mr. Jirojmontri called, summoning the walking disaster himself. Thomas fought the urge to roll his eyes so hard they'd never come back down.
"Hey, Kong. Hey, Thomas" Mark greeted them with a forced smile, too cheerful, too fake. Thomas already hated that he was here.
"There's a real estate sales convention outside Bangkok soon. Are you planning to attend?" Mr. Jirojmontri asked curiously.
"We haven't decided who'll go yet" Thomas replied carefully. He wasn't sure where this was going. It was an investment fair, one Tutor had planned to attend with him but that might not happen since they had an important business trip to China around the same time. They still hadn't managed to reschedule. They might have to split up.
"Mark will be attending together with Kong" Mr. Jirojmontri continued. "If you go as well, I'd appreciate it if you could spend some time with them. I'm sure we could smooth things over and maybe find a deal beneficial to both sides."
Thomas barely heard the last part, his mind froze on Kong going with Mark. That trip required an overnight stay. They'd be going together?
"I already told Mark I'm not going with him" Kong declared immediately, arms crossing over his chest clearly prepared for battle.
"Kong, I wasn't asking. It's decided already" His father replied in that infuriatingly arrogant tone that made Mark's smile widen like he'd just won something.
"I don't care, Dad. I'm not going" Kong shot back. "I've worked harder this week than I ever have in my life, stayed up countless nights doing work no one else in this company bothered or could touch. I'm taking a few days off and I'm not wasting them on a business trip I'm not needed for just because Mark wants to"
For a moment Mr. Jirojmontri actually looked stunned, then his expression hardened. Anger burning behind his calm mask. Both Thomas and Mark were taken aback. Kong had never spoken to his father like that especially not in front of others.
"We'll talk about this later in private. Unlike you, I don't air family matters in public" Mr. Jirojmontri said coldly, standing up and walking off toward one of the tables across the room.
Kong sat back down beside Thomas, taking another sip from the cocktail he'd abandoned earlier, while Mark lingered behind them.
"Thomas, did you know Kong's never been with anyone? He's still a virgin" Mark said suddenly with a cruel laugh.
Kong choked mid-sip, coughing hard.
"Uhm...Okay?" Thomas asked confused, though he could guess what Mark was trying to do. He was trying to embarrass him. The bastard wouldn't get the satisfaction.
"He's inexperienced. Don't you think someone like that would get obsessively attached if you were his first? I'd advise you to stay away" Mark continued smugly.
That did it. Thomas clenched his jaw, furious at the way Mark so casually humiliated Kong and exposed something so personal.
"You seem to know a lot about obsession" Thomas said evenly. "Maybe from your own twisted one with Kong, I'd guess."
Mark's smile faltered. Thomas wanted a shot of vodka to calm his nerves. The man's mere presence aggravated him, especially with his shoulder wound still aching from the gunshot.
"I've known him since we were kids. It's not obsession I'm just stating facts" Mark said defensively.
Thomas glanced at Kong, who sat frozen. He clearly hadn't expected this not even from Mark.
"He doesn't want you. Get over it" Thomas said coldly. "And I don't care who he's been with or not, what matters is that he's with me now whether you like it or not. So stop worrying about him."
That snapped Kong out of his stunned silence. His expression shifted from disbelief to something almost defiant.
"If my sex life interests you that much, don't worry" Kong said calmly, eyes sharp. "It won't stay that way for long. I'll make sure to text you when the situation changes so you can stay updated" Kong said in determination, he was pissed now.
"W-what the hell?" Mark stammered, caught completely off guard.
Thomas couldn't help the faint smirk tugging at his lips. God, he loved this side of Kong.
"Come on, Thomas. Let's get out of here" Kong said, finishing his cocktail. He stood and started toward the exit, Thomas right behind him not forgetting to throw Mark a mocking smile as they left him there fuming in silent rage.
