Chapter 1: Authors Note

Chapter Text

Hello Readers! This is my first real fanfiction on this site that isn't a one shot.

I don't know much about Arcane so I am relying on the wiki and my boyfriend's nerdiness for most of that lore, feel free to correct any errors in the comments! However I am a huge nerd about BHNA so there shouldn't be many errors with that.

This work is inspired by a long term roleplay with said boyfriend, so the pacing may be off but I am trying my best here. I don't have all the tags and characters added yet so those will no doubt increase with time.

Enough said! I hope you will enjoy this fic, and posting will unfortunately not be constant since I am a slow, slow man.

I hope you enjoy when I eventually post some chapters!

Chapter 2: Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Summary:

The initial meeting of the PLF and the Council

Chapter Text

Jayce watched as the purple gate opened on the other side of the room. It looked more like a shapely cloud of smoke than it did a portal. He knew they were meeting with the dominant powers of Zaun, something involving diplomatic relations between the two cities. It was a good step forward, but it made him nervous. He could feel the tensions of the other counselors, and Salo’s seething frustration at such a meeting.
It took several minutes for anyone to step through the gate. And when they did, there were several murmurs. A scarred man in his late twenties was the first to exit, followed by maybe eight other people. The murmurs went silent when what seemed to be a teenage girl, who sat cheerfully in her seat. After everyone was settled in, a man in an orange coat stepped forward, producing several blue marbles from his pocket.
“We apologize for the delay, we got caught in a small skirmish on route!” The man says with a dramatic flourish. The teenage girl hopped up, taking each marble and going around the room, giving each to one of the counselors. Once everyone had a marble, the man snapped his fingers and they became patterned, fluffy blankets. The teenage girl went around and wrapped each person in their blanket.
“What’s this for?” Mel asked as she glanced at the blanket in her own lap.
“During the ‘skirmish’ one of us was required to use our quirk. It overheats him, and we don't need him boiling his brain just yet.” The one in the blue parka said as he climbed onto the back of one of the chairs. Placing his hands on either side of the scarred man’s temples. The teenage girl hurried over and placed several open water bottles next to them, which froze quickly as the temperature in the room dropped below frigid.
The ice in the bottles slipped out of their containers and settled on either side of the man’s temples, emitting steam as it made contact with his skin. Heimerdinger cleared his throat to get the attention of his fellow counselors.
“These are the nine lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation front,” He paused as he glanced at them.
They’ve agreed to help us with Noxus’ advances.” He says. Watching as a wave of understanding washed over their side of the room.
“Would you mind introducing yourselves?” He asked. The teenage girl jumped out of her seat yet again, nodding her head enthusiastically.
“I can do that!” She chirped, grinning at everyone in the room. Running over to the man in the orange coat.
“We’ll start with him!” She said happily, making sure everyone was paying attention to her words.

Notes:

Hey guys! This chapter is going to be short since I just want to get it out. I promise ethe next one will be longer.

Chapter 3: Heed the Raven's Call.

Summary:

Hey all! I decided to include some tweaks to the MHA canon that I'll detail in the Chapter notes at the end!

Anyways, thank you so much for reading, I'm really happy that at least one person is enjoying my silly idea.

Chapter Text

Toga draped her arms around the orange clad man with a smile.
“This is Mister Compress! He’s one the commanders for our Brown Regiment, or a support regiment,” She pauses as she bounds over to the man with a sort of mutation quirk. Leaning on him and hugging the male as she pops her leg up.
“This is Spinner! He’s the other commander of our Brown Regiment!” She finishes as the lizard-like male sighs and pats her shoulder.
“Support…does your organization have multiple regiments and such?” Mel inquires as she leans forward in her seat. Head resting on her chin.
“It does.”
The counselors turned to look at the person who had spoken, and it appeared to be the scarred man who’d been steaming earlier. He remained silent after the two words, his head tilted back into the lap of the individual in the parka.
Toga laughs a bit and nods confirmation to the statement, running over to a man with a more quiet demeanor. She places a hand on her own collarbone.
“My name is Himeko Toga! I’m the co-commander of the Carmine Regiment, and this is Skeptic. My fellow Carmine co-commander!” She smiles as she hugs the man’s arm. She shifts but doesn’t yank away from her.
“We handle intelligence gathering for the Front.” The man says as he shifts his feet. Looking at his nails. Toga laughs a bit before pulling the man in the full bodysuit over to the man in a sort of mobility aid.
“This is Twice and Re-Destro!” She smiles and gestures to each one as she said their name. The man in the bodysuit, Twice, waves at them before crouching down and flashing them a thumbs down motion. The other man, Re-Destro, simply nods in acknowledgement.
“They are our Black Division, or strategy!” She says as she hugs Twice, the man embraces her in turn without much hesitation.
“Strategy..Intelligence and Support, this seem’s rather in depth.” Mel mutters to herself as she watches each individual closely. Trying to decipher more about them from their body language and appearance. The blond teen skips to the two individuals seated in the center of the group; the individual clad in the parka, and the man covered in purple scars.
“This is Iceman, the co-commander of the Violet Regiment, our guerilla group.” Toga smiles as she pats Iceman on the knee. They cannot see their face, but they can tell that they shot her a stern look.
“And this is Dabi, the other co-commander of the Violet Regiment. He’s also our current Acting Grand Commander.” Toga says, gently patting Dabi’s shoulder.
“Acting Grand Commander?” Jayce asks, a bit confused. Leaning forward, on the edge of his seat.
“The Grand Commander is currently in a non-disclosed location, he’s undergoing a vital procedure.” Geten says, a tad sour in tone as he shifts his legs. Dabi seems uncaring to the confusion, choosing not to comment.
“I don't mean to sound rude, but what exactly are his qualifications for such a position, to make such decisions for the organization?” Mel hums, leaning forward once more in her seat. The question earns some odd looks and a few muttered words from the individuals across the table.
“Dabi is the right hand man to the Grand Commander, he is the most qualified individual for such a position. It was the Grand Commander's personal choice for a stand in.” Spinner hisses, a forked tongue darting between his teeth. The others mumble in agreement, Dabi himself only bows a small cloud of smoke out of his nose. The acrid smell lingering for several moments.
“Before any of you get too comfortable and start to dig into the meat of this gathering, I do think it is quite vital that we await the arrival of the other six individuals!” Mister Compress says with a flourish of his hand. Almost like a magician striking a pose.
“Compress is correct, we won't participate in discussions beyond introductions until the others get their asses here.” Dabi says, shifting in his seat to be more comfortable. Earning a few mutters from the counselors, due to the foul language.
A second portal forms behind three of the empty chairs, the smokey black mass ominous in it’s time appearance.
“I apologize for the tardiness.” A male voice says as two individuals stepped through the portal. One in all white with a strange bird-like mask, and the other in black with a faded green and black jacket with gloves. He was also sporting a red and gold beak mask. The man sits in his seat and crosses his legs. His white clad companion sitting next to him.
“You may refer to me as Chronostasis, and you will refer to the boss as Overhaul.” The man says, as his boss leans forward to observe the room.
“Please, just call me Chiskai, I’m sure our collaboration will be tolerable.”

Notes:

As promised these are the changes I've made.

- I decided to make Re-Destro a Co-Commander to the Black Regiment to give him more of a purpose. I wanted him to have more interactions with the other characters in the later chapters, thus the change in his position.

- Chisaki: I know Kai got nerfed and thrown into prison but I love him too much not to include him and the Shie Hassaikai. Not to mention he does play a vital role in the later chapters I have planned out. To accommodate that, the end of the Shie Hassaikai Arc in canon is a bit altered. Instead of a success, the raid (By Enforcers and a few heroes in this AU, and UA students were not permitted to be involved in teh conflict bc of Piltover's stricter laws) fails, allowing the Yakuza group to escape. They also take Eri with them. On top of this, this is a good-dad Kai AU, since it adds a few emotional beats in the more Kai-Centric chapters. The quirk-erasers still exist, but they were just manufactured in a different way instead of using Eri's blood as a primary component. I hope you guys are okay with that! Kai is one of my favorite characters and I had to include him in a more major role.
