Y/N's P.O.V.

The Boar Hat is decorated in tinsel, ribbons and streamers, with candles lit on the tables, wreaths hanging on the door and above the windows, and a pine tree decorated standing in a corner.

We're all standing around the tree, Harlequinn flies up and places the star on the top of the tree, "Ah! It's perfect!" Elizabeth compliments.

"I cannot wait to taste Ban's scraps on Christmas day!" Hawk says from Elizabeth's shoulder.

"Eh? Who said I'm cooking?!" Ban asks.

"Well, it isn't going to be Meliodas!" Hawk exclaims.

"Well then... What about Y/N?" Meliodas looks at me and I blink a few times.

"Yeah!" Harlequinn turns to me, "You used to do an amazing Christmas dinner for me and Elaine!" he says.

"Yeah of fruit... I hardly cooked us meat," I reply and start flying away.

"No! You did!" Meliodas grabs my legs and pulls me back, wrapping his arms around me, and squeezing my breasts, "You did for me," he says.

"Get off of her!" Hawk bounces on Meliodas's head.

"Come on... It's been what? 900 years since the last Christmas meal you made?" Meliodas kisses my blushing cheek as he continues squeezing my breasts, "What do you say?"

I think about a Christmas, "Y/N, come on sweetie it's Christmas day!" Gerheade said.

"Y/N, come on, it's okay!" An unfamiliar voice said.

"But the nasty demon is here..." My voice as a child replied.

"Come on, he's a friend... I'll protect you, I always have done," The unfamiliar voice said.

I wiggle out of his grip and fly towards the stairs then look at them as they all stare at me, "I can't... Not again," I fly into our shared room and lock the door, leaning against the door, "What the hell was that memory?"

Harlequinn's P.O.V.

Meliodas and I look at each other in confusion, "What was that about?" I ask.

Meliodas folds his arms, "I don't know, she's always loved Christmas even when she was a kid," he says.

"You've known her that long, Captain?" Diane asks.

"Well... It's what I was told," Meliodas goes quiet for a bit, "Gerheade, might know... But she... Might be dead," Meliodas sighs and rubs the back of his neck, "Guess we'll never know, she's a stubborn one."

Ban walks over to the bar and picks up a bottle of Vania Ale, "Is there something you'd like to tell us, Ban?" Merlin asks.

Ban sips the ale and looks over to us, "Gerheade is alive... That, uh... Black Hound can bring her here right?" Ban asks.

"She is?" I look at Oslo, "Oslo, can you bring Gerheade here, please?" Oslo barks and disappears.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Gerheade soon arrives through Oslo's portal, she briefly looks at Ban then looks back at me, "King Harlequinn, hello," she says.

"Hello, Gerheade, I'm glad to say that you are alive... And I know, and I have a feeling you do as well... My sister... My big sister is upstairs," I tell her.

"She used her Sunlight Drop on you, didn't she?" Gerheade questions.

"Yes, and Meliodas too," I nod to Meliodas.

"Hello, Gerheade," Meliodas smiles.

"Sir Meliodas... How lovely to see you again," Gerheade says.

"We need your help... It's my sister," Gerheade looks at me worriedly, "Might be nothing... We, uh, asked if she would make us Christmas dinner... And ended upstairs with the door locked," I tell her.

Gerheade looks around, "Has... Uh... Has she used Sunlight Drop a lot... And possibly, on herself?" Gerheade asks and looks at Meliodas.

Meliodas's eyes widened slowly, "Y/N!?!" Meliodas runs upstairs.

"Sir Meliodas, you know shouting at her won't work!" Gerheade says and flies after him.

"Hey! Wait up!" I follow them and watch as Meliodas kicks the door open to see Y/N flying out of the window.

Gerheade flies out and reaches forward, "Sleep!" we watch as Y/N suddenly falls to the ground but lands on Nightshadefol that floats over to us, "There we go... No running off today, sweetie," she says and they fly inside.

"Gerheade... What's going on?" I ask as she places Y/N on the bed.

Gerheade and Meliodas look at each other, "I think it's better if Y/N tells him," Gerheade says.

"Yes... I guess you're right... Can you do it?" Meliodas asks.

"I can, yes," Gerheade makes herbs and fruit appear, I watch as she mixes them together before drawing a swirl on my sister's forehead and Ban, Gowther, Stephan, Elizabeth, Diane, Merlin and Hawk walk in as Gerheade chanted something in old fairy language and a bright gold light comes from Y/N.

"W-What's going on?" Diane asks.

"We're going into Y/N's memories... The ones I locked away from her 3000 years ago before she was put to sleep for a long time," Gerheade answers.

"3000 years ago... She's 2250!" I reply in shock.

"No, she isn't... But even this is a secret from her," Meliodas says as we see us in a forest floating above.

"Where are we?" Hawk asks.

"The Fairy King's Forest, 3000 years ago... Before she was almost destroyed," Gerheade says and floats away as we follow her.

"Lady Y/N! Come on, let's play!" Young Stephan called out.

"Is that, you?" I ask as I look at Stephan.

"Yeah, it is," Stephan answers and we watch as a young Y/N turns around, her wings are multiple colours, gold shining through.

"Those... Aren't her wings..." I say.

"They were," Gerheader answers.

"Just watch," Meliodas tells us.

Young Y/N flew over to Young Stephan, "What game?" she asked.

"First one to the top of The Wise Tree?" Young Stephan wondered.

"But Daddy will notice us then... Last time we did that, he told us off!" Young Y/N said, worriedly.

"Come on! It'll be fun!" Young Stephan said as he flew off.

"Hey! Wait!" Young Y/N flew after him.

We all follow them towards the Wise Tree, which was larger than the one in the previous forest that burnt down.

"Stephan!" Gerheade's voice called out and she squealed as Young Y/N followed him, "Y/N!"

"What's going on?" an unfamiliar male voice asked.

"Y/N and Stephan are racing up the Wise Tree again," Gerheade sighed.

"I got it," he said and spread his large colourful wings and flew after the two young fairies, he grabbed them both and brought them back down, "What are you two doing?"

"Hi, Daddy!" Young Y/N smiled and hugged him.

The male fairy laughed a little and returned the hug, "You think that'll stop you from getting into trouble?" he asked.

"Aww," Young Y/N and Stephan whined.

"Come on, it's Christmas, brother..." Gerheade said.

"Yeah, Daddy! It's Christmas!" Young Y/N bounced in the air causing the others to laugh.

I smile a little and look at Gerheade as she wipes away a tear then I look at Meliodas who has a small smile on his face, "Is that... First Fairy King, Gloxinia?" I ask.

Meliodas looks at me and goes to answer but nothing comes out, "Yes, it is," I look at Gerheade, "She's the daughter of Gloxinia," Gerheade says.

"Okay," Gloxinia chuckled softly, "I'll forget it today, but you two won't get away with it next time, okay?"

"Okay!" the two young fairies answered.

The scene goes fuzzy and the voices go static, I look at Gerheade, "Gerheade, what's going on?" I ask.

"It's the locked spell. It's taking us out of the memory," Gerheade answers.

"Into what?" Ban asks.

As the scene settles we see Y/N older, floating opposite Gloxinia and Gerheade, Y/N was crying, "Gerheade, take us out of this one," Meliodas says.

"I can't," Gerheade answers.

"Y/N, come on sweetie it's Christmas day!" Gerheade said.

"Y/N, come on, it's okay!" Gloxinia said.

"But the nasty demon is here..." Y/N replied.

"Come on, he's a friend... I'll protect you, I always have done,"  Gloxinia said.

"Why are you friends with a nasty demon?" Y/N asked.

"Well... He wants what we do... So does his friend, to stop The Holy War before it starts," Gloxinia said.

"He does?" Y/N asked as she tilted her head.

"Yeah, trust your Dad okay?" Gloxinia said as he offered her his hand.

"Okay," Y/N took his hand and the three of them flew off.

We follow them  into another area of the Wise Tree to see a blonde boy dressed in a green outfit, a Goddess with silver hair, wearing a light blue dress, and a giant with blue skin and four arms, "Gerheade, stop it!" Meliodas pleads.

"I'm sorry I can't," Gerheade replied, also looking worried.

"What is it?" I ask.

"This is how we met Meliodas," Stephan answers and we all look at Meliodas in shock.

"Here we are," the three figures turned around, Meliodas, Elizabeth and Drole.

"Oh, and Elizabeth and Drole," Stephan added.

"Who's this Gloxinia?" Elizabeth asked, looking at Y/N.

"This is my daughter, Y/N... Y/N, say hi," Gloxinia said.

Y/N glances between Elizabeth and Meliodas, "No," she hid behind Gloxinia more.

"Y/N... Come out, I've got a present for you," Drole said.

Y/N pushed herself up, using Gloxinia's shoulders and flew over to Drole, "Uncle Drole!" she called out.

"Hey! Don't use me as a climbing frame!" Gloxinia scolded her.

Y/N hugged Drole's cheek, "Hello!" she said as he chuckled softly at her.

Gloxinia sighed and looked at Meliodas and Elizabeth, "Sorry about her, she's a little nervous about you two... With the upcoming war," Gloxinia told them.

"That's okay, it makes sense... Shall we take a seat Meliodas, until she feels comfortable?" Elizabeth suggested.

"You two don't mind?" Gloxinia questioned.

"Of course not, we're in your home after all," Meliodas said the two of them sat on a branch.

Y/N giggled happily as she flew around Drole's arms as he continued moving them, "I'm gonna get you!" Drole laughed.

"No, you won't!" Y/N laughed, "I'm the second fastest!"

"She is," Gloxinia smiled and blinked, "Huh? Where'd she go?" he questioned and Drole stopped moving his arms, both looked worried.

"Did I hit her?" Drole asked.

"I think we'd notice it if you did," Elizabeth flew over, "I'll help you two look for her," Elizabeth said and she and Gloxinia flew higher, looking in different hiding places as Drole looked around on the surface.

Meliodas chuckled and leaned back, looking behind the branch he was sitting on, "Having fun?" he asked in a whisper and Y/N flinched and looked at him shyly, "You okay?"

Y/N nodded, "Yes," she whispered and poked her head up, hiding behind him and the branch, "They are so silly."

Meliodas looked at the three searching for the young fairy Princess, "Maybe, but I don't think you should scare your father like this," he looked behind him to see she had flown off, "Huh?" he looked around to see her flying away, he smiled and flew after her quietly.

Meliodas followed her to a high branch, she sat on it and looked out at the forest, hearing fairies laughter and singing. Y/N smiled softly and Meliodas sat beside her, she looked at him, "You followed me?" she asked.

"Well, your father is searching for you and if he knew I knew where you were hiding then let you disappear again... I think he'll be quite mad at me," Meliodas smiled, "So... I hear you're scared of demons and goddesses?"

Y/N looked away guiltily, "Shouldn't I be? Demons eat souls, Goddesses can control people's minds... Both of them destroy people's lives just to get what they want. They use giants for their strength and my father for the barrier of the forest," she answered honestly.

Meliodas chuckled softly, "Yeah, you have a point, but I promise Elizabeth and I aren't like that," he said.

"Aren't you? Prince Meliodas," she looked at him, "You've slaughtered thousands, rumoured the next Demon King... I don't believe you want to stop the Holy War. It's laughable," Y/N said as she stood on the branch, "My father and aunt may trust you, but I don't," Y/N flew off quickly.

"Hey!" Meliodas flew after her.

"Stop following me!" Y/N yelled and sped up, flying past other fairies and making them lose their balance.

Meliodas continued to follow her, both of them stopping on different branches, looking at each other then Y/N would fly off and Meliodas followed after her.

"How long did she not trust you?" Merlin asks.

"Didn't take her too long... She told me, she was waiting to see if he'd use his powers to stop her or get annoyed," Gerheade answers.

"Really?" Meliodas questions in surprise.

"Yeah," Gerheade nods.

Y/N landed back in the Wise Tree, in the area where she usually slept and looked back at the forest, looking around, "Did he give up?" she asked.

Meliodas hugged her from behind, "Caught you," Y/N squealed and jumped out of his arms as he chuckled softly as she blushed brightly, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you."

"Y/N!?" Gloxinia and Gerheade hurried in.

"Sorry, we were playing chase," Meliodas chuckled softly and Gloxinia sighed, relaxing.

The scene turns fuzzy and disoriented, we're in the forest, giants, fairies and humans surround the forest and we see a man leaning against a branch that Gerheade and Y/N are sitting on, "Who's that?" Ban asks.

"He looks like you," Diane answers.

"His name was Rou..." Gerheade informs us.

"Bet you two don't like the fact I'm your guard," Rou said.

Y/N looked behind her, "He'll be fine, Y/N," Gerheade told her.

"I...I know... But something doesn't feel right," Y/N said.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Y/N was laid face flat on the ground, her wings were torn from her back, and blood pouring from the two wounds. Her hand was grasped in Gerhead's whose wings were cut in half, her legs were gone. Rou killed the human who attacked the two, feeling guilty for his actions. Gloxinia arrived to see his daughter and sister in the bloody human arms he killed Rou and took his daughter and sister into his arms.

"Gloxinia!" Meliodas called out and flew over, he gasped as he landed, looking at Y/N, "Who did this?"

"The human... Rou," Gloxinia said.

"D...Daddy..." Y/N called out and the two looked at her in shock as she opened her eyes briefly, "H...Hurts..."

"Shhh, it's okay. Don't talk, now. Just rest," Gloxinia said as tears fell from his eyes as Y/N closed her eyes again, he screamed and flew off, dropping the girls.

Meliodas quickly caught them, "Gloxinia!" He called out, then felt them both stirring and looked to see the two opening their eyes again, "Hold on, you two... Elizabeth!" He called out.

Elizabeth flew over quickly and gasped, "Oh my gosh!"

"Please, Elizabeth... Heal them," he pleaded and Elizabeth did as he asked.

Gerheade slept, "Gerheade will need to rest," Elizabeth said.

"Meliodas?" Meliodas looked to see Y/N trying to push herself out of his arm and he helped her to stand, "Where's Dad?" she asked.

"Don't worry about him right now... How do you feel?" Meliodas asked.

"L...Lost..." Y/N turned around and her eyes were wide, Meliodas and Elizabeth looked to see her discarded wings on the floor, "M...My wings...How am I?"

"I healed you..." Elizabeth answered.

"Why?! Why did you heal me? What about everyone else?!" Y/N asked.

"Y/N, please..." Meliodas said.

"No! Everyone should've been healed! It's your race's faults for this! You both massacred everyone!" Y/N yelled.

Meliodas placed his hands on her arms, "Y/N please! You need to calm down! They'll hear you!" he whispered.

"I don't care! Dad's gone who else have I got?!" Y/N asked.

"Me! You have me!" Meliodas replied.

"You're just toying with me! Let me go! Let go of me!" Y/N screamed, trying to get out of his hold but he pulled her closer and hugged her as she burst into tears.

"I won't leave you, I promise... I'll never leave you alone," Meliodas promised.

"Meliodas, Y/N... I'm sorry but we need to get moving... We need to go straight to them, that's the only way this'll end," Elizabeth said.

Meliodas nodded and looked at Y/N, "Ready?" he asked.

"But... What about Dad?" Y/N asked.

"We'll find him afterwards, I promise," Elizabeth said, Y/N nodded and  Meliodas took hold of Y/N and held her as they flew off.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Two gigantic figures stood above the three, "Meliodas!" Y/N ran over to Meliodas lying lifeless on the ground beside Elizabeth, "Ellie! Wake up!" she called out.

"The Fairy Princess," Y/N looked at the figures and gulped, "We have cursed our children, the curse of eternal life and the curse of reincarnation... What should you get?" A deep booming voice questioned.

Y/N gasped and started levitating then started to fly off, but she was caught in a bright white light, she screamed and covered her eyes.

Meliodas looks away and closes his eyes, "She never told me," he says.

"She doesn't remember... Not yet anyway..." Gerheade informs him.

"For your Sin of betraying the Fairy Race and turning you back on Stigma, we curse you with eternal life," a booming female voice said.

"Every time you come back to life, you will forget more and more about your love until he is nothing but a stranger to you and so you will betray your love," the deep booming voice added and  Y/N screamed before she collapsed on the floor.

"H...How is this related though?" Hawk asks.

"It was Christmas time when this happened...I think I get it now..." Gerheade says.

"So do I..." I look at Meliodas, "It's you."

"What do you mean, King?" Diane asks as the scene disappears and we appear back into their shared room.

"She's worried about losing you again," Meliodas looks at me, "Think about it... When the demon attacked when Elaine and I were young it was nearly the festive period," I say.

"How are we back anyway? There was more to show," Gerheade questions.

We hear someone clearing their throat and turn to see Y/N awake, sitting on the bed, "What are you all doing in my room?" she asks.

"Y/N... How are you feeling?" Meliodas asks as he walks over to her.

"Why is everyone in here?" she asks and rubs her head, "Why does my head hurt?"

"Oh, you fell and hit your head," Gerheade flies over, "Harlequinn called me to check on you..."

"Oh..." Y/N clutched her head, "Ugh! Something's wrong..." her eyes turn dull, "Why do I keep seeing a forest I don't remember? Why does Elizabeth have wings? Why is Meliodas there? Who is my Dad?" she questions.

Meliodas's P.O.V.

"Gerheade!" I say.

"Right!" Gerheade touches her with her staff and Y/N fall back asleep and I lay her down.

"Also Gerheade... We can't risk this again, I can't bear to see what will happen if she remembers," Meliodas says.

"But Sir Meliodas, she forgets..." Gerheade says.

"Not at first... I'll explain what happens again, one day... But first... Please... Make her forget her dreams... Again," I say as he holds her hand.

Gerheade uses her staff and removes the memories of her dream, "And you know who else needs to forget," Stephan says as he flies to me.

"Please do it, Gerheade," I say.

"Yes, Sir," Gerheade looks at the others and her staff glows.

"W-What are you doing?" King asks.

"I can't lose her, King, I just can't, I hope you'll understand one day," I say as I gently pull her into my arms Gerheade uses her magic to make everyone forget the memories they just saw.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

I wake up in my shared room to see I'm alone but smell something delicious coming from downstairs, "Ban, must be cooking," I say and walk out of the room and see Ban walking out of his room, "Huh? Ban? You're not cooking?"

"Nope... I wonder who is," Ban says and we head downstairs to see the tables decorated with servings of fruit, vegetables and meat.

"Who's cooking?" Merlin floats behind us with Gowther, Elizabeth, Diane and King following us.

"Morning!" Y/N smiles, "I don't know what happened yesterday, but I don't remember a thing, so thought whatever we did, we could try to repeat today, what do you all think?" she asks.

"Come to think of it..." King thinks for a moment, "I don't remember much either," King says and everyone repeats the same thing but me, Merlin and Stephan.

"Funny... Must've drunk more than we ate as we still have everything... Come on, let's enjoy Christmas today!" Y/N smiles.

I smile and walk over to her, pulling her close to me, "Sounds perfect," we hear Stephan clearing his throat.

"Uh... You two... Might wanna look up," Diane says and we look up to see mistletoe above us and growing.

I look at Y/N, "Are you making it grow?" I ask as her face turns bright red, "Cute," I lightly take hold of her chin and we kiss softly.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

We all continued to enjoy the day, eating the food Y/N cooked for us, opening our presents, singing, dancing and drinking the night away, until we all decided to call it a night.

I silently left mine and Y/N's room and saw Merlin leaning against the opposite wall waiting for me, "I guess you're wondering why her mind changed?" Merlin asks.

"A little," I answer.

"Gerheade made her forget again, her past Christmases with you and especially the other Christmas where she lost you... Without that worry there was nothing to hold her back," Merlin tells me.

"I see, thank you..." I head back into my room and close the door.

"Be careful, Meliodas... One day they will remember again..." I hear Merlin say before she walks off.

I take a deep breath, walk over to the bed, get under covers with Y/N and look at her sleeping peacefully, "I'm not ready for you to remember," I whisper.

Y/N mumbles and wakes up, "Meli? What's wrong?" she whispers.

I smile as she opens her eyes, sleepily, "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you," I whisper.

"It's okay... I wanted to stay awake until you got into bed... I had another present for you," I watch as she turns over, rummaging through her box under the bed.

"Another one?" I ask as she turns back to me and hands over a box, "Thank you," I smile and open it to see it is empty, "I don't... I don't get it..."

Y/N goes silent and I look over to see her blushing, holding the bedcovers to her chin, "Y...You need to look under..."

I frown a little in confusion then my eyes widen a little, "Oh?" I place the box on the floor lightly and gently turn her onto her back, rolling on top of her and see her undergarments red and see-through, with my brand mark circled around her breasts and just above her womanly area, "My, my... I must have been good this year to get this delicious present," I lower closer to her and brush our noses together, "Such a naughty girl."

"S-Shut up..." Y/N blushes brightly and I capture her lips in mine before she can change her mind and cover us with the bedsheets.

Chapter 2: 001.2 - New Years Special

Chapter Text

Please note that none of this will affect the upcoming story, it does follow after the 000 - Christmas Special. This is another little extra for New Year's. Even though this special won't affect the story, it will contain spoilers for the story in this part. So, please read at your own risk, and I hope those of you who read this enjoy it!

Meliodas's POV

I'm downstairs in the tavern with some of the Sins. We were decorating the tavern for the New Year's celebrations. I hold a clipboard. "Food, check. Fireworks, check. Streamers, check. Ale," I look at the stock behind the bar and in the back room, then close the door. "Check, but could always do with some more," I list off.

"Cap'n, you should've thought about the extra booze way before now," Ban says.

I look over to my best friend with my arms folded, "Well, we've had other matters to sort out," I tell him.

"What Christmas that none of us can remember only to have it on Boxing Day?" Ban questions.

I blink a few times. "Yes, exactly! King!" I look over at King. "Please, can you use Oslo to go to Vanya Village and pick up four barrels of their ale?" I ask.

King floats on his Chastiefol looking at me, "I mean, yeah I could ask Oslo to assist me, but... Are you sure we need any more?" King asks.

"King, let me tell you something," I stand tall, with my chest out as I keep my arms folded, "As a tavern owner, you can never have too much booze," I tell him.

"Especially when the owner drinks half of the stock," Diane comments.

"Hey! That's not fair!" I laugh and turn back to King, "So, will you?"

"Yeah, I guess I could go," King replies with a lazy shrug of his shoulders.

"Go where?" Y/N asks as she, Merlin and Gowther walk in.

"Captain wants me to use Oslo to go to Vanya for more ale," King tells her.

Merlin looks over to me, "Are you sure you need more?" she asks.

"Well, both the captain and Ban drink half of our stock," Gowther comments.

"Meli..." Y/N says cutely as she walks over to me with her arms stretched out, making grabby hands at me and I take hold of her hands, "You know I love you-"

"I love you too," I say with a smile.

Y/N's cheeks turn slightly pink and she smiles, "We have enough booze, my love," she says.

"We can never have enough. King is going to get some," I tell her as King floats towards the door.

"No, he isn't," she replies and King stops instantly.

"But we need more booze," I tilt my head at her.

"No, we don't. We have enough. You just want more Vanya Ale because you and Ban guzzle it down like it's water," Y/N smiles sweetly.

"Everyone loves Vanya Ale," I add.

"Maybe, but we have a tavern and we have other booze that people can drink," she says.

"But, Wolfy!" Ban stands behind me, "Vanya Ale is the best!" he says and I nod.

"You're not using my brother and Oslo because you were too preoccupied with something to get some more," Y/N says a little more sternly.

"We need more ale!" Ban and I tell her.

"I can go, sister, I don't mind. Oslo could do with a walk," King tells her.

"See! Yes, King you go get us lots of Vanya Ale!" Ban tells him as I smile at Y/N.

"No, you won't," Y/N looks over her shoulder, her blonde hair shielding her expression from me but from the shiver that visibly ran down King's body I know it wasn't one to question, "You can take Oslo for a walk but you are not going to Vanya," she tells him.

The door opens and Gilthunder walks in rolling a barrel, Howzer and Griamore follow him doing the same, "What's this?" I ask.

"Vanya Ale," Y/N looks at me with a smile, "Like I said... We have enough because I already used Oslo's help to go there and put an order in and after what Gil did to the villagers, he was happy to go and collect them for me so he could apologise," Y/N tells me and flies over to Gilthunder then hugs him, "Thank you!"

"You could've said," Ban says.

"Where would the fun be if I did that?" Y/N asks.

"Let's crack these barrels open!" Ban declares and turns to the barrel only to be thrown against the wall.

"I am sorry, but the Fairy Queen has requested that these barrels are not opened until there is nothing left to drink," Griamore says with his arms folded and his Wall surrounding Howzer and the barrels that are being moved into the back room.

Ban groans and looks at Y/N who is still floating beside Gilthunder with her arms around his shoulders, my eyes twitch at the sight in front of me of my wife, my mates' arms around someone else, "Seriously, Wolfy?!" he questions with a slightly annoyed tone.

"Yes, you aren't opening anything or we won't have any stock. If you want to drink, so elsewhere to do it," Y/N tells him.

"You're so cruel," Ban sighs.

Y/N smiles, "Yes, I am... Thank you, boys!" she presses her cheek against Gilthunder's as she hugs him.

That's enough! "Y/N let go of Gilthunder!" I shout.

"No," Y/N answers bluntly.

"Yes!"

"No!"

I walk over and go to grab her leg but she moves out of my reach, "Oi!" I chase her around Gilthunder, Y/N laughs cutely as she keeps her arms around Gilthunder and moves in a circle as I follow her, "Let go of him!"

"Nope," Y/N says.

Gilthunder closes his eyes, blushing slightly and takes a deep breath, "Lady Y/N, please let go, you're making me rather dizzy," he says.

"Oh," Y/N stops instantly then giggles cutely, "I'm sorry," she says.

I launch at her only to miss and do a tumble roll into a table, I blink in surprise, seeing Y/N floating above Gilthunder with a cheeky smile on her face, "Now, that's just being cheeky," I quickly stand up and hold my arms out, making grabby hands at her, "Come here..." Y/N tilts her head, "Come on."

"Your Majesty!" Stephan flies in carrying two more barrels, "Vanya Village supplied two more barrels, where shall I put them?" he asks.

"In the back, please... Howzer, can you help him please?" Y/N asks as she sits on Gilthunder's left shoulder, well, she doesn't sit she floats but it looks like she's sitting.

"Sure," Howzer walks over and takes a barrel, "This way... Meliodas and Y/N are arguing and using Gil as the middle person again," he says and walks into the back as Stephan flies after him.

"Not arguing, but okay," Y/N smiles as she watches them.

I smirk and take my chance, I launch at her, wrapping my arms around her waist as we tumble back from Gilthunder, Nightshadefol appears behind us, taking most of the impact of us hitting the wall, "I got you!" I say with a smile.

"That's not fair, you caught me when I wasn't looking!" Y/N replies as she folds her arms, pouting.

I smile at her and bring her into me, "So, cute," I compliment then bury my face in her chest and exhale heavily, "Feels so nice!" I rub my face against her chest, knowing her face is going bright red.

"Uh... Captain, sister... If you two are done messing around," the two of us look at King, "What exactly is the plan tonight? We are hosting or celebrating just friends and friends' family?" King asks.

"Both?" We answer.

"Then shouldn't we prepare outside as well? We wouldn't want anyone to miss the fireworks who doesn't want to miss them," King suggests.

"Wonderful idea! I know exactly what to do!" Y/N flies out of my hold and wraps her arms around his, "Stephan!" Stephan flies over and she grabs his arm, "Come with me, I have another job for you two," Y/N says as she pulls them both outside.

»»----- 🐺 -----««

Later this evening, everyone is getting ready for the big night, I'm in my shared room with Y/N who is looking out our bedroom window and I walk over to her, wrapping my arms around her waist. I kiss her cheek and rest my head against hers, "What are you thinking so deeply about?" I ask as she places her hands over mine.

"What the next step for us will be... I feel like... Something is coming," Y/N tells me.

"You do? Well... I know one thing, I'm never letting you go... You're stuck with me Y/N, I'm never letting you go," I tell her.

I feel her exhale deeply, knowing her as well as I do, what I just said had put her mind at ease, "You're right... You keep telling me that," she says.

"Exactly," I lightly poke her nose which brings out a little giggle from her, "You really should start listening to me," I tell her with a smile.

Y/N turns around, staying within my arms and she looks me in the eyes, putting her arms around my shoulder, "Never let me go, Meli," she says.

I see worry in her eyes and I rest my forehead against hers, "Y/N, I'm never going to let you go. You're stuck with me forever," I tell her.

Y/N steps closer and hugs me, tucking her face against my neck, "Good. I'm never letting you go anywhere, either," she says.

"But can you two let each other go right now? The customers are arriving!" Hawk complains as he bounces onto my head.

Y/N looks up at Hawk, "Hi Hawk! Yeah, we'll be right down. Can you tell the others to start without us?" she asks.

"Sure, don't be long!" Hawk replies and bounces off.

Y/N moves out from my arms and walks over to her dressing table, picks up a necklace and places it around her neck, "Y/N, I swear to you, nothing will happen to you, not while I'm alive," I declare.

Y/N turns to me and smiles, "Then I guess, I'm just going to have to keep you alive then," she tells me.

I hold out my hand to her, "Let's go downstairs and enjoy the night," I tell her and she takes hold of my hand.

Y/N's POV

Meliodas and I leave our room, I don't want to worry my husband but the feeling I have of something coming hasn't gone away. I don't know what it is or when it'll be here but it will be very soon. That thought alone scares me, but I know Meliodas will live up to his promise of never letting me go as long as he lives, and that thought also scares me.

"Sister!" I shake my head as I snap out of my dark deep thoughts and look over to my brother, "Where was your head just now?" Harlequinn asks.

"Wasn't it on my neck?" I ask with a tilt of my head and a smile.

Harlequinn looks at me with a blank expression, "Well, yes it was," he says.

"Then there is was... Come on!" I grab Harlequinn's hands and spin us around as Meliodas walks over to the bar to help Stephan with the drinks, "We have work to do," I fly over to the bar and take one of the trays.

»»----- 🐺 -----««

It was a long but exciting night, many friends and their families turned up and the outside tables were also full. Meliodas and Stephan worked behind the bar preparing the drink, Ban was in his element with the food, Merlin was supervising Meliodas to make sure he didn't join in the cooking, Hawk was on clean up, Gowther, Elizabeth, King, Diane and I were serving the customers their orders.

Meliodas rings a bell and everyone looks at him, "It's almost midnight! Those that want to see the fireworks, please make your way outside," Meliodas says and we all watch as all the customers walk outside, so we know we all can follow them.

I fly over to Melidoas, wrap my arms around his waist and fly up to sit on the roof of the tavern with Nightshadefol behind us. Meliodas takes hold of my hand, "Feeling better?" Meliodas asks.

"Much, it's probably nothing, just an overlapping feeling after our fight with Hendrickson," I say.

"Y/N..." he pulls his hand from mine and places it on my thigh, "It's fine to feel like this," I look at him as he smiles at me, "Just don't keep it bottled up, okay? Talk to me."

"Promise," I scoot closer to him and place my head on his chest, listening to his hearts beating then we both flinch slightly as the fireworks begin.

I sit up properly as we watch the multiple colours illuminate the night sky over Liones, the customers cheering and singing amongst themselves. Meliodas's hand rises further up my thigh and I look at him, "Mel-" Meliodas leans in and kisses me, we pull away slightly before leaning back in and kissing each other passionately.

"Happy New Year, my love," Meliodas says.

"Happy New Year," I reply.

"Happy New Year!" The Sins and Elizabeth call out to us and we look at them all holding a mug of ale and drinking.

I lean back on Nightshadefol, beside Meliodas who starts talking with Ban, I close my eyes and picture the Fairy Forest, as it was before I left, before the demon attack, I think of the peaceful days

"Y/N! Stop flying away from me! You need to open up!" An unfamiliar voice rings through my mind.

"Leave me alone, Daddy. I don't want to see your demon friend who keeps chasing me!" I hear myself say as I turn around in my thoughts to see a boy with multiple coloured wings and pink-red long hair.

"Hello Y/N!" Meliodas's voice rings through my mind and I turn to see him wearing a green outfit with a smile on his face.

"Y/N? Y/N?" I snap my eyes open and see Meliodas leaning over me, his smile is gone and worry in his eyes, "I was starting to think you had fallen asleep," I shake my head, "Everyone's heading home... Shall we go inside?" he asks.

"Sure," I nod and sit up as he jumps down and I float down.

"What were you thinking about? When you had your eyes closed," Meliodas asks.

I think for a moment and I cannot remember what the thought was, "I...I can't remember... Huh... Must've been a power nap then," I shrug my shoulders and Melidoas walks into the tavern first.

I walk towards the door and hold it open, "Y/N..." I feel a shiver run down my spine and I look behind me, "You've grown up so much, so beautiful... I won't let you be alone any longer," an unfamiliar voice says in my mind.

I frown in confusion, "Sister?" I yelp and turn around quickly to see the sins looking at me worried, except Merlin who looks intrigued, "A-Are you okay? How much did you drink?" Harlequinn asks worriedly.

"I...I'm fine... I didn't drink much... I'm just... I'm just gonna head to bed, yeah... I'm tired," I say and quickly fly upstairs.

"Intriguing..." I hear Merlin say as I stop at the top of the stairs.

"I'll go check on her," I hear Meliodas say.

"Give her some time, Captain... She may need a little space," Merlin says.

I go into our shared room and get changed into my nightgown before sitting under the bed covers. I look towards the window and think about the voice I heard calling out to me, "Y/N?" Meliodas says as he walks in and sits next to me, "What is it?"

"The upcoming year... Something's going to change..." I look at him as a tear falls from my eye, "And I don't know how to cope with that... I don't want to lose you, but I feel like I will," I sniff and wipe away the tears that start falling, "I...I don't... I don't know why I'm crying."

Meliodas brings me into his arms and kisses my head, "You're okay, I'm not going anywhere and I'm not letting you go anywhere. Whatever comes, we'll deal with it, together. I promise, the new year or any year, we're together and our life together won't end, I promise," Meliodas tells me.

I close my eyes and focus my attention on his hearts beating again, "Sorry, I'm a nightmare when I get like this... I know," I say.

"Shh, it's okay. I know who my mate is, you can be a nightmare all you want with me, I'll never love you any less," he tells me.

I smile softly and tighten my hold around him, "I love you, Meliodas, so much," I say softly.

"And I love you," Meliodas tells me, "Take as long as you need to relax and trust your mind again... I won't push you, King won't and no one else will. We're behind you," Meliodas tells me.

"Thank you... Here's to a new year... What a way to start it?" I chuckle softly.

"We'll get there, together," Meliodas says and I start to feel myself drifting off to sleep from the soothing sound of his hearts.

Chapter 3: 001.3 - Valentines Special

Chapter Text

Please note this special doesn't have any secrets to the upcoming story, it's just a nice little chapter of a Valentine's Day with Meliodas I hope you all enjoy it!

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Meliodas's P.O.V.

It's Valentine's Day and the capital is full of couples, who are walking up and down the streets, arm in arm, with flowers and chocolates and presents being given between themselves, and couples having meals out in cafes and restaurants. As I walk down the street, looking for a perfect gift for my wife, I left it too late to find her something, but with the tavern being busy and being the Eight Deadly Sins in general, it was a little difficult to find the time to sneak off without her noticing, but she always noticed or King did and he'd report to her that I was slacking off.

I look at the florist's stall at the different flowers, No... She can make flowers in her sleep... I move on down the street.

"Captain!" I look up to see Diane walking with King flying beside me, she's waving at me with a big smile.

"What are you doing here?" King hugging his Chastiefol as he glares at me, "Don't tell me you forgot to get her something?"

I smile at them, "What are you talking about? You seriously think I'd be so wrapped up with the tavern that I'd forget to get my wife something for Valentine's Day?" I laugh nervously as they stare at me, "Okay... Maybe it slipped my mind," I reply.

"You two have been together a long time, right? Surely you should know something to get her in an instant," Diane says.

"You'd think so, right? But... We've been apart for over 900 years," I say and scratch the back of my neck, "I know I've been with her for the past 30 years before the Sins, but... I've never thought about spending time with her on his day... I can't even remember what I used to do," I tell them.

"Didn't you used to just be around her?" King asks.

"Yeah... But I swear I gave her something," I reply.

"Well, maybe she'd just like a meal, to spend time with you... And not a meal cooked by you," King suggests.

"That might be a good idea," I scratch my chin, "Either of you seen Ban?" I ask.

"Not since he passed out drunk," Diane says.

"Great, thanks!" I start running towards the food market.

"Where are you going?!" King asks.

"To get ingredients," I tell them.

"I don't even trust the ingredients he's about to get... What do you think, King?" I hear Diane ask.

"Let's go with him," King says and they follow after me.

Y/N's P.O.V.

I'm sitting in a cafe having a cup of tea with Merlin and Gowther, "Okay... When you asked me for tea, I thought you meant experiments not actual... Tea," I say.

"Do you think all I think about is my experiments?" Merlin asks.

"Do you need me to answer that?" I ask.

Merlin chuckles, "I guess not, because I do... But even I like a break," she says.

"I don't believe that," I reply.

"Has the captain arranged anything for today?" Gowther asks and I look at him blankly, "I guess not."

"Were you expecting to do something?" Merlin asks.

I smile softly and shake my head, "You know me, Merlin... I'm not that worried about getting flowers, chocolates or gifts... The most I'd like is just spending time with him, without everyone else getting involved... It might be selfish, but... We haven't had much time alone apart from during the night but we're usually asleep," I say as I look into my tea cup.

"Captain! She doesn't like that!" I hear Harlequinn say and we look to see Meliodas looking at a food stall with Diane and Harlequinn looking nervous at the ingredients he's collecting.

"It looks like the captain is going to cook for you," Gowther says.

"Oh, good lord... Please no," I say as I place my head in my hand.

"You look like you're giving up on life," Gowther observes.

"I feel like it," I finish my drink and place coins on the table, "I'm off shopping... I'll see you both later," I say and walk away.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

I walk towards the tavern carrying two paper bags, I see the lights on inside and hear people talking. I smile slightly, feeling disappointed, "I guess we're working tonight," I say.

"Hey," I turn to see Ban walking up, "What's with that look?" He asks.

"What look?" I ask.

"The look of disappointment," he takes the bags from me, "Thanks for going shopping for me," he says.

"No problem, better I go than you who doesn't pay and would just get ale," I giggle, "So, what are you doing out here? I don't think you're here to greet me?"

"No, I need you to do something for me," I nod slowly and he points in the direction of a lake, "Would you be a dear and get some berries from the lake over there? I would be I kinda need to start cooking for the customers," he asks.

"Uh, sure... What kind?" I ask.

"All of them that aren't poisonous," he walks towards the tavern, "Thanks, Wolfy!"

I sigh and shake my head, "Alright," I say and walk towards the lake.

I slow down looking at the lake to see a large blue and white checkered blanket with six picnic blankets on it, a weaved tray with fruit, another weaved tray with bread and a tent that Meliodas is still hitting what I assume is the last wooden pin, into the ground to hold it up.

"Wh...What is this?" I ask.

Meliodas looks at me in surprise, "You're earlier than I thought you'd be," he says.

"Want me to go back and come back in ten minutes or so?" I ask.

"No, no... It's okay," Meliodas smiles, "I've finished anyway," he says.

"So... What's all this for?" I ask as I walk over to him.

Meliodas stands up, "This is for us... A night away from the Sins and the tavern... A night just for us," he tells me.

I smile at him softly, "Really?"

"Really... I didn't know what to get you but then... King gave me the idea of us just spending time together... Sorry I didn't get you anything," he says.

I shake my head, "It's okay... This is the best," I kiss his cheek, "Thank you, honey," I say.

"Come on, let's get comfortable... Do you wanna sit in the tent or on the blanket?" he asks.

"It's so nice right now, on the blanket," I tell him.

We sit down on the blanket, Meliodas opens the different baskets, one with meat, one with cooked vegetables, one with salad, one with drinks, and one with blankets and drinks. We eat some of the food that was cooked by Ban while talking about the past in the forest and also the future.

"W-What do you mean?" I ask in shock.

"All I want is you," my cheeks turn red, "And our family in one place one day," he tells me.

"Y-You think about that? Having a kid?" I ask.

"How could I not? I want to make you happy and having a kid sounds like fun," he playfully pushes me down and leans over me with a smile, "Especially the making of a kid."

"Do you think of anything else?" I ask.

"Yes," he nods as I stare at him, "But with us being alone right now, under the stars I can't help but wonder," he lowers his face to my neck and kisses it, "What your skin would look like under the light of the stars," he says.

I feel my face heat up as his hands lightly run up my thighs, lifting my legs to perch them against his hip, "Mel..." I whisper.

"Keep it there," he kisses me and puts his hands under my ass, "Hold onto me," I place my hands on his shoulders and he carries me into the tent, "Do not move. I have to be responsible before I give in," he says as he lays me down, putting my head on a pillow and then leaves the tent.

I raise a brow and watch as he packs up the picnic before bringing the baskets into the tent, "Being responsible?" I ask.

"If we leave food out, I wouldn't be surprised if Hawk finds us and interrupts us," he unties the ribbon that's holding open the tent entrance and secures it closed, "Now..." he looks at me as my eyes widen a little, "Where were we?" he asks as he leans over me.

"I'm not sure, you'll have to figure it out yourself," I squeal as he grabs my legs, pulling me into him, positioning himself between my legs and he leans over me, "Have you given in?" I ask.

"Of course I have," he kisses my clothed chest and squeezes my breasts, "You have no idea how hard it is-"

"I can kinda feel it," I answer, blushing brightly.

Meliodas smirks and looks at me, "My, my... That's not what I meant and you know it," he says and leans in, we kiss passionately, wrapping our arms around each other.

Meliodas runs his hand down my back, careful of my wings and squeezes my ass, making me lift my hips, "I love you," he whispers.

"I love you too," I reply before we start kissing again and our hands roam each other's bodies.

The next morning, I wake up inside my husband's arms, I rub my eyes as I adjust the sunlight piercing through the material of the tent, I feel my ass and boobs being played with still and I look to see Meliodas focusing on fiddling with my body, "...

The next morning, I wake up inside my husband's arms, I rub my eyes as I adjust the sunlight piercing through the material of the tent, I feel my ass and boobs being played with still and I look to see Meliodas focusing on fiddling with my body, "Do you ever think of anything else?" I ask with a smile.

"It's really hard to focus on anything else when my beautiful wife is in front of me, naked and so delicious," he whispers and kisses my chest as his hand moves down my stomach.

"M-Meli..." I whisper as my cheek turns bright red.

"Ready for another round?" he asks with a smirk.

"Hey! Cap'n! Wolfy!" Ban calls out and we flinch.

"I thought you said they'd be back by lunchtime today?! It's past noon!" Harlequinn says.

"Maybe they're still enjoying their picnic," Gowther says.

"Or each other," Ban chuckles.

"Why'd they have each other in a picnic?" Hawk gasps, "THAT PERVERTED FREAK!"

I look at Meliodas and brush my fingers through his hair, he closes his eyes as his cheeks heat up from my touch, "I think we need to go home now... But this was a lovely night," I tell him softly.

"If only we could continue," Meliodas sighs.

I giggle and kiss his cheek, "Come on, or else someone might walk in and see me naked," his eyes widen suddenly and he starts dressing me instantly.

"Can't have that!" he says as I laugh.

"Thank you," I say.

"For what?" he asks as he starts getting dressed, with his back to me.

I wrap my arms around his shoulders from behind, gently turning his head to me, "For an amazing Valentine's night, I loved it a lot more than flowers and chocolates," I kiss his cheek, "It made me very happy."

"You're welcome," he says and we kiss.

Chapter 4: 002

Chapter Text

Y/N's P.O.V - Dreamland

The battle is over, Liones is rebuilt and Ban gave us the location of the new fairy forest I was walking down into the basement of the castle, with Harlequinn, Diane, Ban, Gowther, Merlin, King Barta, Elizabeth and Meliodas. I walk behind Meliodas, "Are you sure we can seal it up?" Meliodas asks.

"Yeah, I'm almost positive," Merlin says, "Though we might drain ourselves of energy, so Ban, Gowther and King are here to grab us if we faint... But it is a normal faint nothing else that should be wrong."

"Let's just try and get it over with," I say and Meliodas and Ban open some doors. We see a crack in the air with a red demon's arm out, "Ew."

"You haven't even seen its face," Harlequinn says.

"I don't have to," I answer.

Merlin tells us where to stand and we hold hands, "Repeat this," She says and speaks in another language and we all repeat what she said as the crack closes. Merlin removes the dragon hilt, "I'll keep hold of this if you want Captain."

"No, I'll take it again," Meliodas says and takes the hilt, "I need a broken blade again," He says and Merlin holds the broken blade out to him, "Perfect," He attaches the broken blade to the hilt, "I'll sort it properly later," He looks at me, "Are you ready?"

"Yeah," I look at Barta, "If anything happens."

"I'll send word to the forest, straight away," He nods and I smile.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

I sat downstairs in the tavern with Meliodas, Hawk, Harlequinn, Stephan, Merlin, Ban, Gowther and Diane (In human form) as Hawk's Mama travelled to the nearby destination for the forest. "What's the fairy forest usually like?" Diane asks sitting beside me.

"Bright... Green... Peaceful," I say and look out the window, "The perfect place."

"I agree," Harlequinn says and smiles, "I cannot wait to go home!"

"Calm down King," Meliodas says, "Or should it be Harlequinn?" He asks.

"Ki...King is fine, Captain," Harlequinn says and I smile at them, "What are you smiling at?"

"You used to be stuck with Meliodas, it was adorable," I grin and giggle.

"Oh yeah, I remember... You chasing Y/N with Elaine," Meliodas says and Ban looks over, "You both got me dragged into the game and then shouted at," He chuckles.

"What was Elaine like?" Ban asks and we look over to him, "When she was a child?"

"The same as she was," Harlequinn says, "She got stronger than she was as a child, always beside Y/N, never leaving her side."

"That was both of you," Meliodas says and I nod, "Elaine was like the light of the three of them, she was bubbly, always running around and flying around our feet," He chuckles, "She was amazing."

"She was yes," I nod and smile, "She loved everyone around us and wanted to protect everyone including me, even though it is my job."

"Yeah, that's our Elaine," Harlequinn says.

"Yeah, that is our Elaine," I smile and look out the window, "Happy and bubbly... Always there for everyone around her who were her or our friends, if they weren't then she'd try to fight them."

"Yeah, that's the Elaine I know," Ban chuckles, "Anyway, we're here... We should get out so Hawk's Mama can bury herself in the ground."

"Sounds good," Meliodas says and we all walk outside then jump off Hawk's mama landing safely, "We'll be back soon Hawk's Mama," He waves bye and takes my hand as we follow Ban.

"Are you sure we're going the right way?" Harlequinn asks.

"Yes, I planted the seed," Ban says and stops walking then walks forward and we see the fairy forest, a brand new fairy forest.

"It'll still work," Merlin says and nudges me forward, "We'll wait here."

I nod and fly up opening the vile and fly over the kingdom sprinkling the content of the vile over the forest till it glowed gold.

"It's the Fairy Queen! She's back!" I hear a fairy shout.

I fly to Meliodas and the others, "Done," I smile and fly into the forest with the others following me.

Fairies poke their heads out, from behind trees, flowers and plants, "They're back!" A fairy whispers.

"Looks like everyone remembers," Harlequinn says.

"Of course," Merlin says, "The vile contained both Goddess healing power as well as Sunlight Drop. I had it in case of emergencies with Arthur."

"That makes sense," Meliodas says and brings my hand up to his lips then kisses my knuckles, "You seem happy."

"I am," I smile at him and go behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist, "Ready?" He nods and I fly up to the wise tree. I step onto the tree and walk to Elaine's body, "Oh Elaine..." I sit on my knees and Harlequinn follows.

"Ban said not to bury her just yet," Gerheade says and walks to us, "He wanted to keep her body out, ready for you both as well as so he had something to come back to see."

"I'd like to bury her," I say and look at Gerheade, "Please Gerheade," I stand up and look at Ban, "I'm sorry."

"It's okay, I understand... But..." He sighs, "I know, I'm sorry."

"No need to be sorry, I'm happy you did it," I smile and hug him, "She loves you, always and forever."

"Thank you," He hugs me back.

"Hands off my woman," Meliodas hits him over the head, "Not yours," I giggle and smile at him.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

3 Years Later

I fly around the kingdom with Harlequinn chasing me, "Catch me if you can!" I laugh.

"Get back here and do your duties!" He shouts, "Diane! Merlin! Ban! Help me!" He shouts as we pass the sins.

I giggle and fly around the forest with the four sins chasing after me. I fly onto the balcony of my room and rush inside and then out of the room. I fall into Meliodas, "Wow, easy there," He says.

I lift up and pull him into a narrow corridor, "Shh," I put my finger to my lips.

"Why?" He asks.

"Stop talking," I giggle.

"Make me," He smirks and I lean in and kiss him as the sins run past.

"Where did she go?!" Harlequinn asks.

"I don't know! The Cap'n might know!" Ban says, "Where is he?"

"I don't know, I bet they're together," Diane says.

I lean back from Meliodas who smirks, "That can shut me up, so why are you being chased... Again?" Meliodas asks.

"You make it sound like it's a regular thing," I smile at him.

"It is," He nods with a smirk, "What aren't you doing this time?"

"I've done all of my tasks and now I am bored," I tell him and smile, "So I sneaked away, Harlequinn saw me and thought I was skipping out then started chasing me. It was fun so I played along."

"You're such a child at times," He chuckles and rests his forehead against mine.

"You can be as well," I smile at him.

"That's why we're perfect," He says and kisses me again, "I love you."

"I love you too, forever and always."

"Forever and always," He says and smiles.

End of Dream

I awake and sit in my shared bed, looking around, "Only a dream..." I sigh and lay back down.

The door opens and my little brother, Harlequinn, flies in, "Sister? You're still in bed," I groan and pull the covers over my face, "Hey!" Harlequinn grabs the covers and tries pulling them off me but fails as I have them in a death grip, "L-Let go! Come on! Let go!" Harlequinn struggles.

"I don't wanna!" I whine.

Merlin walks up, "What's all the commotion?" She questions.

"Oh, Merlin... Sorry, were we loud?" Harlequinn asks.

"Not at all, I was coming to see Y/N anyway," I release the covers and Harlequinn falls off his Chastiefol and hits the floor with a thud as I sit up, "What will you do about the forest?" Merlin asks and Harlequinn stands up.

I look down at my lap as I think about my dream, everyone is happy but doubtful that it'll all go to plan. "I don't know. I left them 1000 years ago. I don't deserve to be their Queen," I answer.

"That's nonsense!" Harlequinn flies over to me, startling me, "They deserve to remember," he tells me.

"Is it about a dream you had?" I flinch and look back at my lap, "You want it to be true but you don't know if it will be?" I look at Merlin who smiles a little, "Well, you have the potion that will help them remember, it's up to you if you use it... The Captain was after you, by the way," Merlin says and walks out.

"Okay..." I get out of bed and notice Harlequinn staring at me, "What?"

"I give up," Harlequinn sighs and flies out, "I'm gonna go find Diane..."

I roll my eyes and walk downstairs, "Hey, Mr God, you're making all this economically, right?" Meliodas asks Ban who is cooking while he watches a tiny Hawk in his food scoffing down all he said.

"Don't worry, Cap'n. They're all made from ingredients past the expiration date," Ban says.

"Listen we have to make a lot of money during tomorrow's festival! It's our first time doing business in a long time! We have to put our back into it and..." Meliodas states.

Ban looks at me and grins, showing his canine teeth, "She leaves the room at last, Wolfy," Ban teases.

Meliodas looks at me, "I was only in there a day..." I mumble.

"TWO!" Meliodas and Ban answer.

"I'm sorry..." I sit at a table and Meliodas follows me and starts massaging my shoulders causing me to hum in satisfaction, "That's perfect..." I whisper.

Meliodas smiles, "You've been having bad dreams?" He asks.

"No... They've been good, but making me hesitant..." I tilt her head back, looking at him as he smiles at me, "I know we said we'd go to the forest... But... Can we wait?" I ask.

Meliodas looks at me confused, I feel Ban watching and listening to us, Meliodas smiles and kisses my nose, "Whatever you want, Princess," He says and we kiss.

The door opens and Gilthunder walks in, looking around, "So you really do run a bar!" He says attracting our attention.

"Oh? Little Gil!" Meliodas says as he takes his hands off my shoulders.

"And you, don't live in armour... Good to know," I say with a smile.

Gilthunder smiles, "Are you preparing right now?" He asks.

"Don't worry, come in! Join Y/N she's upset," Meliodas says.

"I'm not upset," I reply.

Meliodas and I stare at each other, "Of course, you're not upset... What was I thinking..." Meliodas looks at Gilthunder as he sits with me, "Welcome to the Boar Hat!" He says and walks behind the bar.

"Then I don't mind if I do," Gilthunder notices tiny Hawk staring at him, "He...Hello... I wanted to apologise to you if I saw you again. I did some terrible things to you in the Forest of White Dreams... I am really sorry," Hawk continues eating, "I understand. It's not something you can forgive just because you've been apologised to..." Gilthunder says.

"I don't think he has any memory of that," I tilt my head and groan as Gilthunder watches me, "Either my wings have gotten heavier or they're growing again. My back and neck hurt," I complain.

"They're not fully grown?" Ban asks.

I glance up at Ban and think for a moment, "I don't know... Sometimes they can grow from a child... I got my... Baby wings we'll call them when I was..." I trail off and stare into space as I try to think about when I first felt this, "I...I don't remember... That's odd, Meli..."

"100," Meliodas walks over and places the drinks on the table, "Here ya go! Your ale!" He sits beside me, "Don't worry about the past," He looks at Gilthunder, "Drink up, Little Gil! It's on the house. I didn't think a day would come where I could drink with you..." Meliodas says.

Gilthunder looks at the ale bottle, "This is... Vanya Ale?" He asks.

Stephan runs in, in his human form, "Girly! Girly!" He tackles me into a hug, knocking me off the stool as the three men watch us, Stephan straddles my stomach as I stare at him, "Prince Harlequinn told me you left your room! Are you okay?! Are you burnt?! I'll burn them!" He rambles.

I blink my eyes and start sitting up as he falls off my stomach and onto my lap, "My back hurts..." I admit.

Stephan and I sit on the floor, Stephan crawls around and gently traces his fingers around my shoulder blade, "Hurts?" I nod, "Hmm... They're probably finishing growing..." I look at him, "They were damaged remember?" Stephan says.

"He can talk normally in that form?" Ban questions.

"We all can," I stand up and exhale heavily, "Guess you're right Stephan..."

Stephan stands up, "Just wanted to tell you both that Elizabeth is properly up and about," He says.

"Looks like whatever you said to her, worked, yeah?" Meliodas asked.

I look between Meliodas who is smiling and Stephan who is glaring at Meliodas, "What's going on?" I ask.

"Nothing, Girly!" Stephan answers quickly.

"...Nothing..." Gilthunder drinks some of the ale, "It's good, right?" Meliodas says.

Gilthunder smiles, "It's really good," He answers.

"Nothing beats drinking after hard work!" Meliodas drinks more of his ale, "And to top it off, working to save the kingdom! Even more of a boost to the taste!" Meliodas says as Ban gives Hawk more expired food.

"Meliodas, Y/N... Once the National Foundation Festival is over, I'm leaving the capital..." Gilthunder says.

"I'm going with him," Stephan says.

"Why?" I ask.

"Even if it was to protect Margaret and deceive Hendrickson, I've hurt countless innocent people... I have no right to call myself a Holy Knight. I will leave the capital, wander the lands on my own feet, and help people who are suffering however I can... To atone for my sins," Gilthunder tells them.

"I tried burning you and a lot of innocent people," I look at Stephan, "I have to make things right as well," He tells me.

"...Gotcha. If it's something you both decided on, we won't criticise you. You're your own men. But what would Margaret do, I wonder?" Meliodas says.

"There's no need to worry for Margaret... There are countless Holy Knights who are capable of replacing me..." Gilthunder says.

I chuckle softly, "Such a boy..." Gilthunder looks at her confused, "What does Margaret want... It's got nothing to do with what you think, Little Gil."

"Y/N..."

I feel my body tense up and walk to the door, opening it and looking outside, "Y/N? What is it?" Meliodas asks.

"Are you okay?" Gilthunder asks.

"Someone was calling me..." I admit.

I see Stephan and Meliodas glance at each other and Stephan walks over to me, "Why don't we get you back to bed and I'll ease your back pain, okay?" Stephan suggests.

"Just don't burn my beautiful wings, okay?" I tell him in a weak voice.

"Promise," Stephan says and they head upstairs.

Stephan and I walk into my and Meliodas's room, "Lay on your front, My Queen," Stephan says and I do as I'm told, getting comfortable then Stephan starts to gently rub around her wings, "I don't remember... When I got my wings..." I tell him.

"That's normal..." Stephan says.

"Do you remember?" I ask.

"Yours? You were 100, your brother and sister were over the moon for you," Stephan tells me.

"I meant yours..."

"I was 50... I remember because you were in danger and all I wanted to do was save you."

"From what?"

Stephan hesitates but smiles, "I don't remember that part... You were a baby though."

"I was?"

"Oh, yes... You were a right cry baby."

"Oh..."

"Though you never cried for yourself, it was always for others, mainly when you were worried for them and you hid a lot."

I smile a little and the tension from my back eases, "Really?"

"Yeah... Fairies, humans, you name it... They were hurt in any way and you'd cry... I think that's why you were made the Queen."

"Hmm... Maybe..."

"Y/N..."

I sit up again suddenly, "Did you hear that?!"

Stephan flinches and shakes his head, "No, nothing... Maybe Prince Harlequinn is hurt?"

"No, I'd feel it and Diane would be here... It's a whisper..."

Stephan smiles, "I'm sure it's nothing," I look at him, "I promise... It's nothing."

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Stephan is applying oil to my shoulder blades where my wings are connected to my body. Meliodas walks in and I sense him trying not to tense up seeing I am lying on my front topless in front of another man, "How's the healing coming along?" He asks as he walks up to the bed.

"A lot better... Just let that soak in, I'll take my leave," Stephan says and walks out.

Meliodas sits on the bed and I look up at him, "Hey... What was all the commotion?" I ask, recalling people shouting in the tavern a few moments ago.

"Oh, Hawk ran off and I told everyone if they can catch him they can ask me to do anything they want," I stare at him blankly, "But no one actually caught him, but me... Ban lured him with food, it was a good trap," Meliodas says.

I chuckle softly shaking my head, "You're an idiot, you know that?"

Meliodas smiles and leans down a little, "Honestly, how bad is the pain?"

"Bad," I lean up and crawl onto his lap as he sits up. I straddle him and hug him as he gently places his hands on her back and I sigh, "I don't know what it is but whenever you touch my bare skin I forget all the pain," I whisper.

Meliodas chuckles, "That's the beauty of being me," he says and we look at each other and kiss, "Oh, Ban and I are having a match at dawn on the mountain. Do you want to come and cheer me on?"

"Sure... Why are you two fighting?" I tilt my head slightly.

"First it was a goddess from the Horn or Cernunnos saying if he kills me Elaine will be brought back to life," my eyes widen, "I should've told you sooner but it didn't happen, so he wants a match because he feels guilty for trying to kill me or something," Meliodas explains.

"Oh, okay... Elaine wouldn't have wanted him to kill you."

Meliodas's P.O.V.

I smile at Y/N's words about what her sister would've wanted, "I know," I watch as Y/N falls asleep, "Okay, time for bed, you," I carefully lay her on the bed and cover her up in a light blanket as she drifts off to sleep properly, I kiss her head, "I won't allow you to be taken from me."

Stephan walks in, "Meliodas, is she asleep now?" I point to the far wall and we walk over, "She told me someone is calling out to her," He says.

"Have you found the Coffin of Eternal Darkness? Merlin has been unable to," I ask.

"No, I was assisting Merlin. Nothing... Do you think it's..." Stephan begins to say.

I cut him off, knowing where he's going with this, "I'll die before she's taken from me. I need you to search all the places Hendrickson worked in and Dreyfus... Just in case Hendrickson tricked him into working on a project," I tell him.

"Of course," Stephan says and walks out.

I walk over to the bed and lie down as she turns into me, I can't help but smile at her sleeping face, "I'll never allow us to be separated again. No matter who tries to part you," I whisper and kiss her head.

Chapter 5: 003

Chapter Text

Y/N's P.O.V

"Y/N! Come on stop running around! Brother  needs  you!"

"Catch me if you can!" I let out a soft giggle as I continue to fly away from someone but ended up banging into someone and falling to the ground, "Owwie..." I  sniff tearfully.

"Are you okay little fairy?" A hand is offered to me.

I blink my sleepy eyes open as I float beside Harlequinn, I'm sitting on my Nightshadefol, I yawn and notice Meliodas looking at me with a smile and I poke him in the eyes instantly, "Why?!" He whines covering his eyes.

"You're creepy... This is too early," I complain.

"I thought King was sloth..." Hawk says.

"I didn't sleep much," I yawn again, covering my mouth and  Nightshadefol expands and I lay down.

The light sound of footsteps starts to get louder and Meliodas walks forward with his hands behind his back as Ban stops when he sees him, "Cap'n," Meliodas smiles as Ban continues walking with his hands deep in his pockets, "Sorry to keep you wai-" Ban begins to say.

"Hey, Ban!" Ban's eyes open wide as he sees a crowd of people, "You're the only one who's late to this party," Hawk says.

"Huh?"

"Been waiting for you, slowpoke," Harlequinn says as he sits legs crossed on his Chastiefol beside me.

"I just love a good festival," Diane says with a smile.

Stephan flies up in his fairy form, "Sorry I'm late," He walks over to Meliodas and pulls him aside, gesturing to Ban one minute and the two start whispering.

I watch them, "What do you think they're talking about?" I ask.

Harlequinn looks over, "You," I look at him in disbelief, "They keep looking over here," He says.

"What have I done now?" I wonder and sigh.

"I don't know what to do..." Harlequinn and I look over at Gilthunder who is standing with Howzer, "I have the chills," Gilthunder says excitedly.

"Oh yeah, that's right. You missed the last Fighting Festival, didn't ya?" Howzer sees Stephan walking over, "Everything good, little man?" He asks.

Stephan's body turns into his human form, "Yeah! Burny time! Burny time!" He bounces and Howzer laughs patting his head.

"He's creepy," Harlequinn comments and I close my eyes.

Harlequinn's P.O.V.

I look at Y/N who is curling up on her Nightshadefol, I can't help but worry about what's going on with her, she's my sister, my Queen, my best friend. I don't know what to do to help her, all I know to do is stay by her side as we watch these two idiots fight.

Meliodas walks back over to Ban as the taller man frowns, his eyebrows twitching, "Dammit Cap'n! Just what the hell is going on here? What's with all these freakin' spectators?!" Ban asks angrily.

"Don't ask me. I don't know. I just brought Y/N. By the time we got out here they were already gathering and getting hyped up," Meliodas tells him.

"How in the world could they-" Ban stops and looks at Y/N who was about to slip off her spirit spear but I quickly grab her and push her back on, I look at her worriedly before looking back at the two best friends.

Ban's eyes move onto the tiny pig perched on Elizabeth's shoulder, "Master! Is this your doing?! You were listening in on my conversation with the Cap'n, weren't you!?" Ban asks angrily.

"Someone stop his yelling please," Y/N whispers.

"Shh... It won't be for much longer," I whisper brushing her blond hair from her face and looking at them again.

"Sure. It's a fight after all. What could be better than having an audience cheering you on?" Hawk questions.

Ban glares at him, "How dare you try and turn my fight into some type of damn festival!"

Elizabeth steps forward, "Sir Ban, I beg you, please don't be hard on Hawk. When he heard you two discussing it, he asked all of us to come and watch. Because, to Hawk and the rest of us, you and Meliodas are so dear," Y/N's eyes open instantly and she sits up suddenly, scaring me with her sudden movement, "We couldn't bear it if anything happened to you," She says.

"I think even Ban can understand something like that," Y/N says.

"Yeah. Why spell it out for him now?" Hawk asks.

"What are you trying to say?" Ban asks as he clenches his fist.

"Fox Sin of Greed, Ban," Ban glances at Merlin, "Have you forgotten?" She walks closer to Meliodas and Ban, "As it clearly states in the Eight Deadly Sins Eight Codes Article Six, any fight to the death between fellow Sins must be stopped by the other Sins working in concert," Behind her stands/floats, me, Gowther, Y/N and Diane looking at the pair, "In other words, if you and the captain here are planning to fight to the death for real, the five of us will have to use all our might to stop you," Merlin says.

"It's too much effort..." Y/N complains.

Harlequinn and Diane look at her worriedly, "Are you alright? You're not worried..." Diane asks.

"Why would I be worried?" Y/N asks and curls up on her Nightshadefol.

"Sister..." I watch her worriedly as Stephan glances at me.

"So it's like that, huh?" Ban flecks his fist, "Hey, Merlin... I dare you to say that again," Ban says in a deadly tone.

"We'll stop you," Merlin repeats not fazed by his tone.

Ban grins, "Sounds like fun," The crowd murmurs and shifts restlessly, "But... Right now my only business is with the Cap'n, so you gawkers can shut up and back off. You could've saved all the fuss. I'm not planning on fighting to the death," Elizabeth sighs as she relaxes and Y/N opens her eyes, looking at the two best friends, "Eight Deadly Sins Eight Codes Article Five," Ban says.

"Okay, time to sleep," Y/N says and pulls her Nightshadefol over her eyes, to block out the sun as the Sins relax.

Merlin smiles, "Any bad blood existing between fellow Sins must be settled through a fight. Huh. Very well then. Now we won't do anything uncivilised," Merlin informs them.

"Wow, who knew we had a code like that," Meliodas says, bewildered.

This idiot Captain!

"You were the one who thought it up, Captain!" I shout waving my fist.

"In that case, if you're to fight, there are a couple of things to be taken care of... I need Y/N fully awake," Merlin says.

Meliodas walks over to Y/N and lightly brushes his fingers through her hair, she stirs and looks at him, "Is it over?" She asks.

Meliodas smiles softly, "Not started yet, we need you awake... I need you to use Sunlight Drop very slightly on yourself, okay?" He says as he helps her to sit up.

"But you told me not to..." Y/N mumbles sleepily.

"Y/N... You're not well, you need it," Diane says.

Y/N looks at Meliodas who nods to her, "O...Okay..." Meliodas pulls her off the pillow form of Nightshadefol, "Sunlight Drop..." Nightshadefol turns into a sunflower and a tiny droplet drips onto her head, the sleepiness and weak appearance instantly disappear, "Better," Y/N says.

Meliodas smiles, kisses her and walks back over to Ban, "All done," He says.

"Thank you, Captain. Secondly," Merlin points to the sky and Meliodas and Ban end up in a giant purple-pink transparent cub in the sky, "You must fight no holds barred. Perfect Cube," Merlin says.

"Awesome," Meliodas looks down at Y/N as she stretches, "This thing is amazing..."

Y/N's P.O.V.

Merlin huffs a small laugh, pleased with herself, "Now you can both brawl to your hearts' content without having to worry about collateral damage. Not to mention we can sit back and watch with no fear," Merlin says.

"And I'm awake because?" I ask, floating beside Merlin, bent over her shoulder.

"We all know how you get when you miss these two fighting," Merlin says.

"I get bored now... Merlin, it's been ten years..." I tell her and float over to the crowd, listening to the various words being spoken.

"A brutal clash between the two heroes who saved the kingdom. Incredible," Griamore says, standing with Gilthunder, Howzer and Stephan.

"I'm the one who saved the kingdom, but whatever," Hawk mutters on Elizabeth's shoulder.

"Ban, you better not lose or I'll never forgive you," Jericho says.

"This will be something we'll not soon forget," Gilthunder says excitedly.

"Eh, it's nothing new to someone like me," Howzer says, hiding his excitement.

Gilthunder looks at him offended, "Come on, don't say that. Even among the Eight Deadly Sings, who graces the top echelon of the Holy Knights, those two are said to be exceptionally gifted fighters," He gazes up at Meliodas and Ban, "Not good," he says.

Stephan looks at him, "What's wrong, Gilly-Gils?" He asked.

"I can't stop my heart from pounding! It's so exciting!" Gilthunder exclaims in excitement.

Stephan and Howzer look at him blankly and Howzer looks away, "Okay, whatever floats your boat, man" Howzer says.

I fly over quietly and float over Gilthunder's shoulder, looking as if I am sitting and I tilt his head up to look at me, "Are you okay, Little Gil?" I ask with a smile

Gilthunder flinches and blushes in embarrassment, "I-I'm okay!" He says.

"Are you sure? You're red, do you have a fever?" I ask as I rest my forehead against his but he backs away as I continue floating in the air, in the same position.

"I'm okay!" He says waving his arms around.

Howzer and Stephan look at him blankly, "Dude, you're so uncool, right now," Howzer says.

"I don't even want to burny you," Stephan says.

"Sister, they're waiting for you!" Harlequinn calls out and I giggle at Gilthunder and his friends before I fly to my brother.

I sit on Nightshadefol and look up to the Perfect Cube to see the two best friends have been waiting for me. Ban steps into his fighting stance and beckons Meliodas to him, surprisingly, even at their distance from us we can hear them, "Alright, then. Come at me, Cap'n. Bring it on," Ban says.

Meliodas bounces back and forth, "Alrighty! I'm not holding back, okay? Ready?" Meliodas says.

Meliodas leaps over to Ban who swings at him but the short blonde male ducks. Together their attacks weren't meeting as they both were able to block each attack effortlessly. Ban finally punches Meliodas in his chest which sends the short blonde backwards and slams him into the wall of the Perfect Cube before sliding to the floor with a trail of blood, "No! Sir Meliodas!" Elizabeth calls out in worry as I just watch them both calmly.

"Uh oh," Hawk says.

"Ban got the better of him," Howzer says.

"No. Look again!" Gilthunder leans forward, "It's a draw!"

Ban's stomach buckles and he coughs up blood as Meliodas jumps with ease onto his feet, Ban smiles and wipes the blood from his mouth. The crowd cheers impressed with the show, "What's with the fooling around, you two?" Harlequinn shouts and the crowd quietens down.

"Yeah, he's right! If you're gonna settle the score, you might as well go at each other like there's no tomorrow!" Diane says as she frowns.

"From what I can tell, they're only fighting at 13% of their total strength," Gowther says, shocking the crowd.

I'm lying on Nightshadefol watching Meliodas stretching above me, she smiles at him softly, "Oh, one more thing," Meliodas looked at the crowd in a glare with a stern voice, "This fight is between Ban and me, got it? If you make too much of a ruckus and distract us, I'm gonna knock all of you into next week," Meliodas threatens in a dark voice that sends shivers down my spine, I can't work out whether the shiver was out of shock or fear or something else, but the crowd gasps at his words.

"Great... Now he's mad at us..." Diane says.

"He'll get over it," I tell them.

"That being said, Y/N is the one exception from that rule," Meliodas gets on his hands and knees looking at me with a grin as I continue smiling at him, "Cheer for me like there's no tomorrow, 'kay?!" He chuckles.

Time to have some of my own fun...

My soft smile turns into a smirk, "Hey, Foxy!" I call out.

"Yeah, Wolfy?!" Ban answers.

"Make it hurt!" I order.

Meliodas's jaw drops, "Y/N! Where's the love?!" He asks, acting heartbroken.

"You got it, Wolfy!" Ban chuckles as the crowd and the Sins, minus Merlin and Gowther, stare at me in shock.

"You're meant to be my wife!" Meliodas whines and I start laughing.

"Heh-heh, I'm not one to keep a lady waiting," Ban says then charges at the short blonde, punching him.

"Lady Y/N," I look over at Elizabeth and see Diane and Harlequinn looking at me with Merlin and Gowther standing behind them, also curious, "What was that about? Did something happen between you and Sir Meliodas?" Elizabeth asked.

"Nah, nothing at all... Gotta make these things interesting, right?" I say and chuckle softly.

"Y/N... We'll be  together  again..."

My face suddenly drops and I sit up, looking around, "Is everything okay?" Diane asks.

"Sister?" Harlequinn says.

"I...I'm fine..." I look at Harlequinn and smile, "It's nothing to worry about... I'm fine," I repeat.

"Are you sure?" Harlequinn asks.

"Maybe this is all too much for you. Maybe you should go home and rest," Elizabeth suggests.

"I said I'm fine, Elizabeth," I look up at the Perfect Cube to see Meliodas swinging Ban through the air by his ankle, "Everything's going to be okay... That's what he keeps telling me and I believe him."

Meliodas releases Ban and he slams against a wall of the Cube and slides down to the bottom leaving a large trail of blood, "Nasty..." Stephan cringes.

Once Ban touches the floor, he springs up and pushes himself off the wall heading to Meliodas. The two continue their back and forth, attacking and blocking.

I sense someone trembling near me, and I look to the side to see Elizabeth's hands trembling and she sighs softly, leaning into my pillow towards her, "You're wondering if those two might end up killing each other for real, huh?" Elizabeth looks at me and I look back at the match, "You don't have to worry, because the rest of us won't let that happen no matter what... Besides... I don't think either of them can die, I mean one is immortal and being crushed, chopped in half and blown up doesn't stop Ban... I'm not sure what does... And with Meli... He's never down for long," I tell her.

The silver-haired woman smiles, "Right."

"Also, if they die, I'll kill them," I add.

"Ummm... I don't think that works," Elizabeth says.

"It is what it is," I wave the topic off.

Diane looks at me, "Y/N, King is going to fight Howzer," Diane says.

"I'm sorry what?" I sit up and look at the pair, "What are you two doing?" I ask.

"I just wanted to say hi!" Howzer says.

"No, you didn't you liar!" Harlequinn looks at me with his fists clenched, looking determined, "I'm defending your honour!" He declares.

I stare at him blankly as I float over to him on my Nightshade in its pillow form, "How? You can't even squash a fly bare-handed..." I question bluntly.

"You're really cruel!" Harlequinn complains.

"Harlequinn..." I rub my head and sigh, "Ugh!" I lean back and flip backwards, staying on my pillow, "Do whatever you want, but..." I grab my brother by his collar and lift him off the ground with ease, glaring at him, "If you make our family and clan a laughing stock I'll make sure you pay," Harlequinn gulps and I smile sweetly, "Okay?" I drop him and he stumbles until he catches his footing, "I'll be rooting for you, Little Brother!" I notice something, "Oh! And I'll be taking this!" I quickly grab his Chastiefol and fly off.

"Hey!" Harlequinn yells.

"My Lady!" Stephan says and holds out his hands then I throw over Chastiefol and he catches it, guarding it.

"Y/N!" Harlequinn yells.

"It's unfair otherwise. You don't see Howzer with a weapon," I point out.

Gilthunder drops to his knees, "Oh man! A fight with King. I am so jealous of Howzer!" He whines manly.

I fly over to Gilthunder and bend over his shoulder looking at him, "Are you having a breakdown?" He looks at me and I smile, "Here's something your buddies know that you don't... King, can't fight barehanded. He lost a fight to a cat once that ate his food... Watch..." We watch as Harlequinn starts the fairy dance before charging at Howzer who stops him by his hand on Harlequinn's forehead then he flicks him away and Stephan catches him in this Chastiefol, "Told ya so," I say, hiding my disappointment but showing my amusement.

Harlequinn sits up and glares at me, "You could've cheered me on!" He complains.

"I'm not even cheering on my husband," I point out and smile at Gilthunder, "Hey, I'm bored," I place her arm around his shoulder, "And the last time you attacked me it was fucking weak it made me want to cry... What do you, Gils? Want a match?" I ask.

"Are you sure?" He asks as his eyes sparkle.

I notice the sparkle and see his face light up, I can't help but hug him, squashing my cheek against his, "Aww! You are just adorable!" I gush.

"Hey!" The two of us look up at Meliodas who is glaring at us, "Get your arms off Little Gil right now!" He yells.

"No!" I cling to the Holy Knight, "He's so handsome and tall!" I say as I swing my legs side to side as I keep my arms around Gilthunder's shoulders.

Meliodas's eye twitches, "Y/N..." He grumbles then Ban whacks him to the ground of the Cube as he's distracted.

"Having fun Wolfy?" Ban asks.

"The best, Foxy!" I giggle and look at Gilthunder, "So, shall we?" I ask and he nods with a smile then I release him and walk over to Elizabeth, "Watch Nightshadefol for me, please."

"Of course, you two be careful," Elizabeth says as she wraps her arms around the pillow.

Merlin snaps her fingers and Gilthunder and I are placed in a Perfect Cube a few meters from Meliodas and Ban. The two of us got into their fighting stances, "What are the rules?" Gilthunder asks.

"How about the last one with energy is the winner? Magic allowed but no making a weapon from the magic... So no creating a lightning sword," I suggest.

"Sounds good," Gilthunder says.

"Hold on," I turn into my human form, a little taller with (e/c) eyes, (h/l) (h/c) hair, "I can't risk you damaging my beautiful wings."

"You and your beautiful wings..." Gilthunder chuckles.

I'm suddenly behind him, "Saying they're ugly?" he flinches, "Be careful, I very much love them more than my mate," I remind him and kick him into a wall.

"Gil!" Margaret calls out.

Gilthunder blinks in surprise and looks at me as I smirk and beckons him to her then the two of them spare without their magic, punching, kicking and dodging at an intense speed.

Harlequinn's P.O.V.

I stare up at my sister as she has a fistfight with Holy Knight Gilthunder in the second Perfect Cube, we don't hear much of their conversation, through the noise from Captain and Ban's fight, "Who knew he could keep up with her..." I say.

"She's giving him some speed so he can enjoy it to the fullest," Gowther says.

"Isn't that against the rules?" Howzer asks.

"No. She gave him speed, not strength. Also, it's a distraction from the voice she's been hearing," Gowther answers.

Y/N lands on the ground with Gilthunder hanging over her shoulder, "That was fast!" Diane, Elizabeth, Howzer and I say in surprise.

"He couldn't keep up..." Y/N pouts and puts Gilthunder down and heals him.

Gilthunder sits up suddenly, "I'm sorry for the boring match!" He says.

"Nah, it's cool... You're still learning and training... How about each year, we have a match when you've learnt more and more and we'll do it until you can't anymore," Y/N suggests.

Gilthunder beams, "Yes!" He nods.

"He's like an excited child..." Stephan says.

"Says you Burn Girly Burn!" Y/N says.

"Rematch?" Protector is behind him and he pales before his body is slammed into the ground, he struggles to get out of the body hole in the earth and looks at her, "No weapons!" Stephan says.

"Well... You threatened me and he protects me... So your fault for suggesting the battle. He's only doing his job," Y/N giggles and suddenly drops to her knees as we all start to feel weak, "Dammit... You bastard..." Y/N faceplants the ground.

"Y/N!" Meliodas yells, he watches as they all drop to their knees and look at Ban.

"Hunter Fest!" Ban says.

Y/N's P.O.V.

I look over to the crowd and see some have passed out while others are struggling to cope with the loss of their energy. I feel magic reaching out to me and I smile, "See you," I wave and disappear with Merlin as she snaps her fingers and we appear further away in a Perfect Cube.

"You and your intuition never cease to amaze me. How did you know I was taking you with me?" Merlin asks.

"Well, you were the one who told me I have more power bottled up than I do right now and if someone else uncovered that then I'd be in big trouble," I say.

"Hmmm... I never thought you paid attention to that sort of stuff," Merlin says.

"We all know that the first Fairy King Gloxinia was strong but he was more known for the beauty of his wings. I've been told I'm just like him and more, I've been told that ever since I became the Fairy Queen over 800 years ago... But... How does Meliodas know I got my wings at 100 if I met him not long after I turned 100... It doesn't make sense," She shrugs, brushing it off, "Maybe he asked Harlequinn or Elaine," I notice that Merlin is staring at me, "Is everything okay?"

"Yes. Just listening," Merlin answers.

"Meli has probably used his trump card after we left, think it's safe?" I wonder.

"Hmm... Probably," Merlin says and snaps her finger, we arrive back with the others and see Meliodas and Ban still fighting and a dust cloud surrounds them, all you can hear is them laughing.

The sun was soon setting, Merlin dropped her Perfect Cube letting the two best friends drop to the floor, both of them exhausted, "A draw?" I ask and Meliodas gives me a weak thumbs up, "Idiot..."

Gilthunder walks over to me, "Are you okay?" He asks.

"I'm fine, a little weak but I'm good," I smile up at him.

"Here," Gilthunder crouches down in front of me and I happily get onto his back.

"You know she can fly right..." Harlequinn points out.

"Hush! I'm getting a piggyback ride!" I giggle and hug Gilthunder, "Yay!" I look over my shoulder to the two best friends.

Meliodas chuckles slightly and hears a loud cough, "Hey, Cap'n. You alive or what?" Ban asks.

"Yeah, just barely... Now that was something... What about you Ban? Are you holding up? I know you're not dead," Meliodas says.

"Nah... I'm good," Ban gets up and walks over to him, "Come on," He grabs Meliodas's arm and pulls him up onto his back, "Let's go back," he says.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Everyone is walking down the mountain, the sound of excited voices, everyone discussing the fight. Gilthunder walks a little in front of Elizabeth with me on his back and Stephan beside him, "Geez, I seriously can't keep up with those two," Harlequinn was floating on his Chastiefol beside us carrying Nightshadefol with Diane, Elizabeth and Hawk together behind us, "I mean, really."

"Same here, but thank goodness they're both alright," Diane says.

"Who's alright, exactly? Master, why don't you let me lean on you?" Ban asks from behind as he carries Meliodas.

Hawk huffs, "Nuh-uh, not happening," He says.

"Elizabeth, you're being awfully quiet. Is something the matter?" Meliodas asks.

Elizabeth continues walking, not turning to him, "Sir Meliodas, you simply went too far today," Elizabeth says and quickly catches up with Gilthunder and me.

"Uh oh, you made her mad," Hawk teases.

"Don't listen to that mean man," Stephan says to Elizabeth who chuckles softly at his words.

"Y/N~" Meliodas calls out and I stick my middle finger up at him.

"That's not Queen-like," Ban points out and suddenly I appear in front of them, "Huh?" He blinks.

"I think you two need to start this walk again," I say and roundhouse kicks Ban and Meliodas back to the top of the mountain, I skip over to Gilthunder humming and jump onto his back, "And now we can walk in peace."

Meliodas's P.O.V.

Later that night, I hurry into the room feeling Y/N's fear, I see her muttering to herself, tossing and turning in her sleep, "Y/N?" I walk over to the bed and sit down, touching her cheek, "It's okay, you're safe," I whisper.

"N...Not safe. Not safe... Not again," Y/N whispers as she continues dreaming.

Harlequinn comes in, rubbing his eyes, "I heard her, is everything okay?" Harlequinn asks.

I walk over to Harlequinn, blocking him from coming further, "Just a bad dream... It's okay, I got it. Go back to bed, she'll be okay in the morning, I promise," I say.

Harlequinn yawns, "Okay..." Harlequinn says and leaves the room.

I close the door and walk back to the bed, sitting down, "Y/N, come on wake up," I say and shake her awake carefully.

Y/N gasps and opens her eyes, "M...Meliodas..." She whispers as she looks at him in a daze.

"Yeah, it's me... Come on, sit up," She does as she's told, "What were you dreaming about?" I ask.

"Dark figures... One reaching for me," I nod my head slowly, "Then I heard your voice... Telling me I was safe... But I didn't feel it..." Y/N says.

"You heard me?" She nods, "Come here," I lean over and we hug each other, "You're safe, I'm here," I tell her.

"I'm scared... Why am I scared?" She asks.

"Shhh, it's okay, I won't let anything to you, I swear it," I promise.

Harlequinn's P.O.V

The following day, I'm flying around Liones looking for Y/N, "Y/N!" I sigh, "Where is she?" I search over the kingdom and finally find her sitting on a clifftop, leaning against a bush, "There you are!" I fly over to her and blink seeing her asleep then sighs, "Seriously, falling asleep in a place like this," I say and sit beside her.

Meliodas walks up, "Hey," I look at him, "She asleep again?" He asks.

"Yeah... Did she have another bad dream?" I ask.

"Yeah... You okay to stay with her, I need to open up the tavern for tonight," Meliodas says.

"Sure Captain," I say and look at the fireworks.

"Thanks, King," Meliodas says and walks off.

"You're mopping..." I flinch and slip off the cliff but fly back up, "You okay?" Y/N asks with a small smile on her face.

"Yeah... I was meant to watch the fireworks with Diane, but... She has to work," I sit beside her.

"And you thought I'd find my sister and sit with her," Y/N giggles.

"Pretty much," I fly up and grab her hands, pulling her up easily as she floats with me, "Come on, let's go home."

"Okay," Y/N says and we fly back to the tavern, but sit on the roof.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Y/N and I continue talking on the roof, laying on our Sacred Treasures in their pillow forms, talking about Y/N's dream, "So, we go home and then something tries to burn it again?" I ask.

"Pretty much... We're all living happily in the forest and these black figures arrive and tear the happiness apart. One of the figures tries taking me but Meli gets in the way," Y/N says.

"It'll work out, right? I mean the Captain won't let anything happen to you," I say.

"That's what he keeps telling me," she sighs and lies on her back looking at the sky, "The more I keep having this dream, the more I don't believe him," she says.

"Hey, King, Wolfy!" The two of us sit up and look down at their drunken team, "Come down and join us!" Ban slurs.

Y/N and I float down to the team and we join everyone in the tavern for drinks until we all pass out drunk on the tavern floor.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Y/N's P.O.V.

I'm gently shaken awake the next morning and open my eyes to see Elizabeth, "Good morning, Lady Y/N... I got you some water," she says.

"Thank you..." I mutter and take the glass sipping it and see everyone still asleep, "You're here early..." I say as I bring my attention back to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth smiles at me softly, "Yes, well, I thought I should help out then I saw you crying in your sleep," I look at her confused then touch my cheeks to find them wet, "Is everything okay?" Elizabeth asks.

"Yeah... Everything will be fine, just another bad dream," I say and clumsily tries to stand up but drops to the floor.

"Y/N?!" The princess crouches down, "Here, hold onto me," Elizabeth says.

"I'm fine... I'm fine..." my voice begins to shake.

Elizabeth looks at me worriedly, I feel like flying away in embarrassment, "Want to help me clean up?" I look at her confusedly and Elizabeth smiles, "You can draw on Sir Meliodas's and Sir Ban's faces and I won't say anything," she suggests.

My mood instantly peaks up and a smile forms on my face, "Now that is an interesting offer... Sure," I stand up and gradually get my balance, "I'll be slow," I tell her.

"It's okay, I'm still clumsy," Elizabeth says and we both laugh a little before we start cleaning as Diane leaves to help the town and we tell her to be careful.

Harlequinn starts walking up and looks around at the mess, "Geez..." he says with a frown.

"Good morning, Little Bro," Harlequinn looks at me, "Sleep well? Would you like some water?" I ask with a smile, feeling more awake than I have the past few days even with Sunlight Drop's help.

I notice the relief look on his face so I'm assuming it's now showing on my face, even with crying in my sleep, "No thanks, I'm fine, sister," he notices I'm carrying empty ale bottles, "Those bottles... Are you two cleaning up by any chance?" he asks.

"Well, I've been cleaning up your messes since you were born, so adding the rest of the Sins and my own mess to the mix, isn't that different," I giggle as Harlequinn blushes at my teasing word, "Anyway, I've been out of it since the fight with Hendrickson and I just want to help out a bit more, ya know?" I shrug.

Harlequinn puts his hands on his hips, straightening his back, "Captain, did you hear what your wife just said? Don't you think you should let her know how much you appreciate her once in a while?" Harlequinn questions as he turns to Meliodas resting to see he is gone.

Meliodas's legs and arms wrap themselves around my waist, "Thanks a bunch! I always show my appreciation for Y/N!" He says as he fondles my breasts and kisses my cheek repeatedly as my face turns bright red.

"Would you get off of her!" Hawk yells and kicks him in the face.

Elizabeth and I giggle sightly as Harlequinn shakes his head, "Anyway King," Meliodas hands tiny Hawk over to Elizabeth, "Isn't there someone you need to thank too?" Meliodas suggests.

"Huh?"

Meliodas places his hand on my hip furthest from him, pulling closer until our hips touch, "After you passed out drunk, Diane never left your side, you know. Stayed up with you all night long," Meliodas says.

Harlequinn stares at his brother-in-law, "Really? Is that true?" He asked.

"Totally true," Meliodas nods.

"I remember something like that," I nod.

"Where's Diane?" Harlequinn flew through the tavern, "Hey, Diane!" He called out.

"Keep your voice down," Harlequinn whirled around to see Howzer walking in, looking as hungover as everyone else but Meliodas, "If you're looking for her, she left early this morning," he says.

"Where'd she go?" Harlequinn asks.

"I'm not sure. She said she'd be back by noon," Elizabeth says.

"Gotcha," Harlequinn looks at me, "Sister," I hum trying to get out of Meliodas's hold, pushing on his chest as he keeps trying to bring me closer with his lips puckered for a kiss, "I'm gonna go look for her, okay? You gonna be okay?" he asks.

"Do I look like I'm not okay!?" I squeak as Meliodas overpowers me, pulls me into him completely and kisses my cheek, I start tapping his cheek, "Yes, yes, I know you're awake but please let me go, I can't help Elizabeth," I tell him.

"Hmm?" Meliodas looks at her confused, "I'm glad you made a friend... Guess I should let you go be with your friend," he says and releases me.

"I'm free!" I cheer and fly over to Elizabeth.

"Howzer," I look at Harlequinn who is getting closer to Howzer with a soft but deadly voice, "There's absolutely no need for you to comfort her. You can just leave all of that to me, okay?" He says and flies off to find Diane.

"That's if you don't fly into a wall because you got a nosebleed just by looking at her!" I call out.

"That was one time!" Harlequinn yells.

Meliodas and I look at each other and start shaking our heads, "Way," the y prolongs for a while, "More than once," I say and Meliodas nods.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

"Y/N..." I walk towards the voice in a daze, "You're getting closer... Come on."

"Y/N!" Meliodas grabs my hand, pulling me into him and I turn to him in surprise, "Hey," he smiles, I see worry and concern filling up his eyes and face.

I look over my shoulder, and squeal to see my feet hanging over a ledge, over a heavy stream with a rough waterfall, "Meli..." I hug him tightly and he returns the hug, "What's wrong with me?" I whisper.

"Shhh, nothing's wrong with you," Meliodas holds me close as he pulls our bodies away from the dangerous stream.

"I hear voices... I follow them... I'm having nightmares..."

"Y/N..."

"I just want it to stop... I want it all to stop."

"It will, I promise."

"Yeah?" I look at him, "When? You keep promising and nothing happens... I'm scared, I'm really scared and I don't get scared, not when I was locked up for 9 years, not when I left the forest..."

"Shhh," he strokes my cheek and kisses my nose, "I won't let anything happen to you, I promise," I hug him tighter and he chuckles softly, "You're very affectionate today."

"Shut up... I nearly walked into a waterfall that would've torn me apart," I mumble.

"I know... I know..." Meliodas picks me up bridal style, "Tomorrow is the day, you need a lot of rest," he says and walks back towards the tavern.

I wrap my arms around his shoulders and playfully nuzzle my cheek against his, causing him to laugh softly, "I'm sorry, Meli."

"It's okay. Merlin isn't worried. I'm not worried. These nightmares will go," he tells me.

"Yeah, if Merlin was worried it would be a problem..." We approach the tavern, "I love you."

"I love you too," Meliodas says and kisses my cheek as he carries me into the tavern, kicking the door closed gently.

Chapter 7: 005

Chapter Text

Y/N's P.O.V.

I put on the tavern's uniform for the first time in a long time and bounce down the stairs humming, "Someone finally had a decent night's rest?" Hawk looks at Meliodas who is smiling smiling at me, "And he seems too happy..." He gasps, "YOU NASTY PERVERT!" He yells.

"Is it so wrong for a married couple to show their love for each other with their bodies?" Meliodas asks, unashamedly.

I walk up to Meliodas and kiss his cheek, "Thank you for last night," I whisper.

"Anything to give you a good night's rest and besides..." he smirks at me, a hint of lust and mischievousness flashing in his eyes, "It was a lot of fun for me as well," Meliodas says.

"You are nasty..." Hawk grumbles.

"You're just jealous," Meliodas says.

I walk away from Meliodas and start cleaning the tavern with Elizabeth, I feel Meliodas's eyes on me, and I feel mischievous this morning myself so I start bending over more times than I need to, flashing my husband every time. I hear him growl under his breath in frustration and Elizabeth looks around at the empty tavern obvious to what's going on, "Is it just me, or have there been fewer customers lately?" Elizabeth questions.

"Yeah. Scraps are getting so hard to come by these days. I'll be one skinny piggy pretty soon," Hawk says from Elizabeth's shoulder.

"Well, it's been quiet before, right, Meli?" I ask leaning on the counter, watching him.

Meliodas sighs, "Why would they stop coming?"

"I bet it's because you're such a terrible cook," Hawk comments.

Elizabeth looks at the pig, "Now, now, take it easy," she says nervously.

Meliodas leaps over the counter and faces me, looking me up and down, "Okay!" He claps his hands as she watches him silently, "It's time for a change!"

Elizabeth and I both stare at Meliodas and my eyes widen as I realise what he's thinking, "Oh hell no!"

"Come on!"

"Nope. I'm not doing it," I furiously shake my head.

"You're doing it though!" he gestures to my outfit.

"Nope, never doing it again!"

"Do what?" Elizabeth asks.

Meliodas wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into him, he smiles at me softly as I look at him unsurely, "Come on... Please, I need your help... My..." He kisses my right cheek as I try to fight a smile, "Adorable," He kisses my left cheek and I give up and start smiling, "And sexy," He kisses my forehead, "Wolf and," He kisses my nose, I see him smiling, knowing he has got me wrapped around his finger, "Fairy Queen," Meliodas says and kisses my lips softly.

I close my eyes and completely give in and wrapping my arms around his shoulder, "One more kiss and I might consider it," Meliodas grins and we  kiss, "I'm not doing it on my own," I inform him

"Oh, don't worry. I know just what to do. You're coming with me," Meliodas says.

"Okay..." I say unsurely.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Meliodas and I walk hand-in-hand through Liones, passing a man calling out to his child as we reach Merlin's workshop and  head inside to see everything in an organised mess, "Still got all your weird little gadgets, don't ya?" Meliodas says as he picks something up instantly and fiddles with it.

"So, what do you want from me?" Merlin asks.

Meliodas smiles at her, "What do I want? You to be a waitress at my tavern!" Merlin just looks at him as her potion poofs out smoke, "Right now, it's just Elizabeth and Diane, but if you and Y/N joined the team, you four would make the perfect Boar Hat Poster Girl Sisters. You'd be bringing in customers left and right!" Meliodas tells us.

"How long have you been planning this, Captain? I see you've already conned your wife into this, but did you honestly think it would work on me?" Merlin asks.

Meliodas laughs sheepishly, "No chance, huh?"

"Captain," Gowther says.

Meliodas smiles with his eyes closed and turns his head to Gowther, "Hey, Gowther, what have you been up to?" He asks as he opens his eyes and he falters as he speaks, seeing Gowther wearing the Boar Hat's uniform.

"Why am I not being considered to be one of the Poster Girl Sisters?" Gowther leans down and puts his hands on his hips, "Why not? Why?" Gowther asks.

Meliodas pushes Gowther away with his finger, "Never mind that. Now why are you wearing the tavern uniform?" He asks.

Gowther straightens up and adjusts his glasses, "It's my favourite," he tells us.

I watch them and I look over to Gowther, "You look so pretty," I say with a smile.

"So do you," Gowther says and we high-ten, kicking a leg backwards and lightly cheers.

Meliodas and Merlin just stare at us, "Gowther, you can't be serious," Meliodas sighs, "Y/N don't encourage him."

"I encourage you..." I point out.

"That she does," Gowther says as he pushes up his glasses.

"Okay, fine, I'll do it," Merlin says as she turns to Meliodas.

I walk over to her mate as we stare at her in shock, "What do you think, imposter?" I ask.

"Must be," Meliodas says with a nod.

Merlin is unfazed by our light insults, "But only after you both have done a little something for me," Merlin says.

"No, that's definitely Merlin," I nod.

"So what do you want us to do?" Meliodas asks.

"I want you both to spy on Gilthunder," Merlin tells us.

"You want us to follow Little Gil?" Meliodas questions.

Merlin places her hands on her hips, "To be precise, I want you to keep a close watch on Gilthunder without being detected and capture whoever's been stalking him," Merlin says.

I place my hands together over my chest and smile dreamily for a bit of effect and fun, "Who wouldn't stalk him? He's so handsome and gorgeous and damn right irresistible," I feel Meliodas's dark but blank expression staring at me and I quickly clear my throat dropping my arms into a fold across my chest, "Somebody's been targeting him? He's never mentioned anything about being followed," I say in a serious tone.

"His stalker is quite good at hiding. As for Gilthunder, he wouldn't even notice. If allowed to escape, the one responsible will become much harder to apprehend," Merlin tells us.

I nod slowly, "This sounds very weird but mysterious... Interesting, this shouldn't be too hard for us, right, honey? I say and bump my hip with my husband's hip.

"Yeah, we got this!" Meliodas says.

"I'll be waiting," Merlin says.

"Let's go!" Meliodas practically bounces out of the room as I fly after him and Gowther walks after us.

Meliodas and Gowther follow me as I fly after Gilthunder's magical presence, I stop behind a crate in a dark alleyway as we see Stephan flying beside Gilthunder, Howzer and Griamore in his fairy form as they move through Liones, "You tried to go after Diane and Prince Harlequinn threatened you?" Stephan laughs softly, "That I have to see," Stephan says.

"Shut up, little man," Howzer groans.

"Nah," Stephan says.

We peek around the corner watching them, "We have eyes on the target," Gowther says.

Meliodas grins, "Alright," He says.

"Let's go," I and the three of us trail between the four Holy Knights, watching Gilthunder as we keep ourselves undetected.

"When I told her of our journey, my dear Margaret... She just nodded without saying a word," Gilthunder says with a slight blush and a smile.

Howzer slapped Gilthunder on the back of his head, "Ha! You're such a ladies' man!" Howzer laughs as Gilthunder complain, Howzer keeps laughing and a roof slab comes loose and drops down onto Howzer's head, causing him to yelp and clutch his head as the three Sins watch in confused silence.

Griamore laughs, "Well that's what you get for messing with Gil," He said.

"Shut up," Howzer was holding his head, "It just had to land right where my old man smacked me," he whines.

"But I must say, you and Princess Margaret really do make for a lovely couple," Griamore says.

Stephan chuckles, "Yeah, even when he had that crazy mage after him since they were kids," Stephan laughs.

"Come on, don't you two start too," Gilthunder says and two bricks land on Stephan's and Griamore's heads.

I frown as I sense the magic just used, I glance to my side to see Meliodas with the same expression, "Gowther, Y/N, did you two feel that too?" Meliodas asks as we watch the four knights talking about the strange occurrences.

"Yes. It was fleeting, but I sensed magic being activated," Gowther says.

"Yeah, let's keep going," I say and we continue to follow the four Holy Knights as they continue walking down the street and we keep hiding in the shadows, using walls, crates and barrels to hide behind.

"Today's off to an interesting start, isn't it?" Gilthunder says as they walk while the three other knights rub their heads, Stephan looks suspicious, Howzer looks angry, and Griamore looks in a self-pitiful state.

"Come on. Let's just get this clean-up over with, you guys," Howzer says.

"Sounds like a plan," Stephan says.

The four knights walk under the wrought iron sign for a shop, it trembles. I grab Meliodas's arm and point to the iron sign, we watch as the sign falls, heading straight for Howzer but Gilthunder dives in the way, shielding his childhood friend and everyone gasps, bracing themselves for impact, but nothing happens. We all watch in surprise as the sign stops falling and floats a few feet above the knights. It hovers there for a moment before floating off and landing on the pavement.

Meliodas puts his hand on his chin as he thinks over the events that we've witnessed, "Okay, I get it. It's all coming together now," Meliodas says.

"Agreed," I nod.

"You've both already figured out who is behind this?" Gowther asks.

"Yeah," Meliodas smiles, "But we're gonna have to catch them as they do it," Meliodas and I follow after Gilthunder, "Alright. Let's keep shadowing them," he says.

"Right," I nod.

Meliodas sneezes and I pull him behind the wall as I see the four knights turning, I cover Meliodas's mouth hoping that they decide that it is just their imagination and they continue walking. I let out a sigh of relief when I hear that's what they decide, walking away and I playfully and lightly slap Meliodas's stomach, "You nearly blew our cover," I whisper.

"Sorry..." Meliodas whispers.

I look behind us and notice that Gowther's gone, "Hey... Where's Gowther got to?" I wonder.

"Completely disappeared... I'm not all that worried, he can cope," Meliodas says calmly.

I look at him, "Meli?" He turns to me as I poke out my bottom lip slightly, in a sulking pout, "Would you be this calm if I... Completely disappeared?" I ask, thinking about my nightmares.

Meliodas stands up straight looking at me, I see that he soon realises that my question has been caused by the dreams and the voices I've recently been experiencing and kisses my cheek taking hold of my hands, "I'd tear the world apart to find you again," he smiles, "Feel better?" He asks.

I nod with a small smile, "Yes, let's keep going," I say, we hold hands and continue following Gilthunder, ducking behind covers and the other knights who look at us strangely when we do.

The four knights stop at a café and sit at an outside table at a café, they order themselves some tea. The waitress leaves and soon returns with a tray that holds a pot of tea and four cups, the look on the waitress was blank.

"Come on," Meliodas takes my hand and we walk over to the table as the knights are about to drink their tea, "Yo," the four knights stop and look at us, "It's the three amigos and their mascot," Meliodas says.

"Who are you calling mascot shrimp?" Stephan asks, annoyedly.

"I like how you know I was talking about you," Meliodas says with a smug smile and Stephan folds his arm and looks away.

"Are you taking a break from putting the town back together?" I ask, smiling at them and Stephan looks over at me.

"Ah, Meliodas, Y/N," Griamore greets us.

"Oh man," Meliodas rubs his shoulder as if he's been doing a hard day's graft, "Truth be told, I've been pretty busy myself and could really use a drink," he looks at Gilthunder and points to the cup, "You don't mind if I have a sip of your tea, do ya?" He asks.

Gilthunder blinks and offers the cup to Meliodas, "Oh, er, sure. Go ahead," he says.

"Thank you," Meliodas takes a big gulp as I watch him closely and slightly worriedly about what my husband is about to drink, but I try not to show it on my face.

"Don't you dare drink that!" A voice shouts and everyone looks around to try and see who's talking but no one is there.

"Who's there? Who said that?!" Griamore demands as the four knights all stand-up.

Meliodas turns around and spits out the tea, spraying it at someone as the tea starts to reveal the shape of a woman. Meliodas, Stephan and I look in silence as Gilthunder, Howzer and Griamore voice their shock, "Three years... It took three years to create that love potion," the woman, Vivian said.

"Wow, some people are just desperate," I comment bluntly, Meliodas tries not to smile and Stephan snorts behind his hand, looking away.

"Who do you think you are, getting in my way after all this time?!" Vivian's voice rises to a shriek and she leaps into the sky, "Fire Ball!" A large ball of fire and she threw it towards Meliodas.

I step in front of Meliodas and hold my hand out, stopping the attack, I produce another fireball behind Vivian's from my hand and fire both back at Vivian. The fireballs hit Vivian, allowing her to now be visible as she falls back to the street, her body smoking for the attack and she stares up with tears in her eyes, "My Gil..." She whines.

"Is that you, Vivian?" Gilthunder asks.

"Just as we thought," Meliodas says.

I walk over to Vivian as she sobs and I clear my throat, Vivian looks up at me and her eyes widen seeing the anger behind my eyes, "No, no, no!" She begs but I kick her in the head, knocking her unconscious.

"Ooh!" Meliodas and Stephan cringe, both of them knowing the pain of being kicked in the head with me.

"Gil," I look up at him and smile softly, "Would you please help me move this sorry ass mage to Merlin's tower? You will! Thank you," I say and skip away towards Merlin's tower.

"You heard her," Stephan says, from his words I know Gilthunder hadn't moved and was opening and closing his mouth in shock like a fish.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

At Merlin's workshop, Meliodas and I stand together beside Gowther, on the main table Vivian is lying on it with chains securing her down. Vivian starts to wake up and she looks up, "Are you alright?" Gilthunder asks, looking at the mage.

Vivian gasps and tries to move, "Is that you, Gil? What?" She looks to see manacles on her wrists, "What is this?" She asks.

"Demon sealing chains," Merlin tells her as she steps closer.

"Master!"

"Pretty impressive, Merlin. How'd you know?" Meliodas asks.

"Well, she is one of my students after all. Now then, as for her punishment, we'll leave that to Sir Gilthunder's more than capable hands," Merlin says as she turns to him.

"My hands?" Gilthunder questions.

"It's your right as someone who suffered for so long from her misdeeds. Since she stole ten years of your life, maybe you want to steal ten years from hers," Merlin suggests.

Vivian flinches and the chains clank, "Have mercy," she begs.

Merlin smiles a little at Vivian, "Or how about we turn her into an ugly toad and toss her out?" She suggests as Gilthunder frowns.

"I like her," I say.

"I'm a good mate right?" I look to my side to see Meliodas looking at me worriedly and I kiss Meliodas's cheek, "That doesn't answer my question," he says as I look back at the scene in front of us, wrapping my arms around Meliodas's.

Vivian looks at Gilthunder worriedly, "No, please, I beg of you," she begins to tug on the chains to try and escape, "All I wanted was to be by Gil's side. That's all I wanted. That's all I've ever needed to be happy," Vivian says as tears roll down her cheeks.

"I forgive you," Meliodas, Merlin and I gasp looking at him, "But only if you truly repent for what you did to Margaret from the bottom of your heart," Gilthunder says.

"Yeah, right," Meliodas, Merlin and I say in unison with blank expressions.

Gilthunder glances at us before looking back at Vivian, "Even so, no matter how misguided Vivian may have been, she was acting out of love. But I can't-," Gilthunder begins.

"That's love?" Gowther questions.

I look at Gowther and rub his arm, "No... It's an obsession, it's unhealthy," I tell him.

"Huh... There really is a difference then?" Gowther questions and looks at me.

"Uhh... Meli," I say.

"I'm not getting involved," Meliodas says and I gasp at him leaving me to have this conversation, that I started, but didn't want to finish.

Gilthunder bends down to look Vivian in the eyes, "You need to promise me, Vivian, you'll forget everything you know about me and move on with your life," Gilthunder says.

"No."

"Told ya," Meliodas says.

Gilthunder visibly deflates, "Oh, Gil... You have such a kind heart," I compliment.

"Anyway," Merlin raises her hand, "I will free you from your bonds as Sir Gilthunder wishes," a strange pink glow surrounds Vivian, "But first... Cursed Engagement," a light circles both Gilthunder and Vivian with with eerie glow, and the chains disappear from Vivian's wrists. Vivian sits up and looks at her left hand where the light gathers, it shrinks further until on her fourth finger the light changes to a stone ring, "No, Sir Gilthunder, repeat the word Remada," Merlin says.

"R-Remada," Vivian's face scrunched up, mottled pink grows over her hand from the ring, she clutches her hand and starts to scream in agony. Vivian falls back, screaming and writhing until she rolls off the table and Y/N watches her blankly, "Hold on... You can't," Gilthunder says.

Merlin ignores him as she watches Vivian shrieking and Merlin just smiles, "The Cursed Engagement ring that I placed on Vivian's finger will control her. The word remada activates its demonic powers subjecting her to the pain of being stabbed throughout her body. The same thing will happen if Vivian tries to cast a spell on Sir Gilthunder," the pain seems to begin to fade but the mark on Vivian's hand is still visible, she stares at it, panting, "That mark will spread every time the curse activates. Once it envelops your entire body, your death will surely be painful and just so you know, that ring and its curse can never be removed," Merlin explains.

"Monster. You're a true devil," Vivian says.

Merlin glares down at her apprentice, "Idiot. You only realise that now," she says coldly.

Meliodas and I shuffle closer together, holding onto each other, "Scary," we say together.

Merlin walks closer to Vivian, looming over her darkly, ignoring us, "Do you have any idea how close you came to committing an unforgivable crime? Spurred on by Hendrickson, you plotted the resurrection of the Demon Clan. Beyond that, you don't even have a clue what the Demon Clan is," Merlin says.

Vivian sits up more clenching her fist, "That's not true. W...We were practically finished with our research on the Red Demon's and we almost had the Grey Demon's figured out as well. Even if they had come back to life in this world, we had no shortage of countermeasures. The Goddess Amber for example," Vivian says as Meliodas and I glance at each other.

"And who made the Goddess Amber?"

"Er, well, you did, master."

"Then heed this advice from its creator. It can capture the Red and Grey Demons rather easily but nothing more powerful," I rest my head on Meliodas's shoulder and he places his arm across my back, "And even then, it's not fool proof."

Vivian gasps, "What are you talking about? You can't mean there are more than Red and Grey Demon's?" She questions.

"You have no idea. Quite simply, both of them are nothing more than weak and lowly foot soldiers. I can assure you there are much higher-ranking demon classes in the Demon Clan. The strongest and most fearsome of them all are the ten who serve the Demon King," Vivian pales as Merlin talks to her coldly and I lift my head from Meliodas's shoulder, listening to my friend, "This extraordinarily powerful group is known as the Ten Commandments. If they're ever resurrected, nothing will stop them from conquering Britannia," Merlin tells her and Vivian is overcome by emotions and sobs into her hands.

Meliodas looks at Merlin, "You freaked her out," he states.

"Ten Commandments... I swear I've heard that before," I say and see Merlin and Meliodas looking at me but I shrug, "Probably the demon attack."

"Possibility," Meliodas says.

Merlin smiles and turns to us properly, "All I did was tell her the truth. Now, my dear captain, since you've gone and fulfilled my request. I shall return the favour," Merlin says.

"Before that..." They all look at me, "I need a favour," I say.

"I already know, but I'm sorry I can't do anything about the voices you're hearing or the dreams you're having," Meliodas looks at Merlin slightly annoyed, "I would say follow them but I don't believe our captain will allow that," Meliodas was already shaking his head, "Then all I suggest is... Once you can identify who the voice belongs to, you inform us immediately. Do you?" Merlin asks.

"It's familiar... Like a friend or something... But my oldest memory is being told I was the Fairy Queen and I had just been born in a sense," I scratch the back of my neck, "Then Harlequinn's birth and Elaine's, then... Meeting Meli... But I... I can't remember anything about the voice... I hear Gerheade's though!" I snap my fingers pointing at Merlin, "Telling me to return for training... But she didn't train me... Or did she?" I ramble slightly and lower my hand which Meliodas takes hold of.

Meliodas looks at Merlin, "Keep me informed about the dreams and voices, okay?" Merlin says and I nod.

Later that evening, people cram their way into the Boar Hat and they are a noisy bunch. Men cheer and whistle seeing me in my human form, Elizabeth, Diane and Merlin in the taverns' uniform and each with a serving tray, "I don't understand why they're so excited. Surely this can't be that different from my usual outfit," Merlin says.

"And I'm not even with my beautiful wings," I sulk.

"What are you two talking about?" We look at Meliodas, "You two make that uniform look really good, and you don't need your wings," he flinches as I glare at him, "My apologies, your beautiful wings," I smile, "To make it look good," he tells him.

"I don't know if I should take that compliment at face value," Merlin says.

"Well, why not?" Meliodas asks as he folds his arms.

"Because you're a pervert," I tell him and Merlin smiles.

"Come on, guys," they turn to see Hawk perched on Elizabeth's shoulder again, "What about Elizabeth, huh?" He asks.

Elizabeth gasps, "Quiet Hawk."

"Everyone knows it looks good on Elizabeth," Meliodas smiles, "No doubt about it, okay?" Meliodas puts his hands on his hips and I subtly roll my eyes, but I catch Merlin looking at me, "From now on, the four of you are gonna sing and dance as the Boar Hat Poster Girl Sisters," Merlin and I look and stare at him blankly as he clenches his fists, "Then business will really be booming!" Meliodas says.

"You want us to sing and dance?" Diane asks.

"Now, now, Captain. You haven't incorporated us into this little song and dance routine of yours as well, have you?" Merlin asks as she points between herself and me.

"Well, of course, you're both in it," he answers.

Merlin and I look at each other and part ways, I head to the stairs and Merlin to the door, "We quit, effective, immediately," we both say together and leave the tavern in their exits.

Meliodas's P.O.V.

I can't help but chuckle softly at their reaction, seeing Y/N and Merlin getting along has always made me smile, "It looks like Y/N and Merlin are out," I smile, "Easy come, easy go, as they say," I say.

"Let them go. We don't need the likes of them. Besides, the Boar Hat always has the Ultimate Poster Body. The Mighty Lord Hawk, remember?" Tiny Hawk says.

My smile disappears as I look at him with an unreadable expression, "Ah, yeah... That's right..." I trail off and glance at the stairs.

"Hey! Why are you giving me that look!?" He squeals and jumps onto my head.

Y/N's P.O.V.

I walk into my shared room and remove my shirt as I turn back into my fairy form wearing a  white dress then flop down on the bed and sigh, "I'm so exhausted..." I mumble.

"Maybe I can be of some assistance," I hum as Gowther walks in, "To find out where you recognise the voice from?" I stare at him blankly, "What?"

"You waited until I was utterly exhausted from the voice and dreams before you suggested your help? Dude, you live with me..." I reply as I sit up on the bed.

"Well, I've been busy with my beloved," my face turns blanker, if that's possible, "Shall I try and find out for you?" Gowther asks.

"Go for it..." I say.

Gowther places his hands on my forehead and a pink light comes from his hands as he searches my memories for the voices and dreams. Gowther pulls away and looks at me, "I can't find anything," he tells me.

"What?" I tilt my head.

Gowther looks at me blankly but I feel the confusion emitting from him, "You've never heard that voice before," I sigh and lower my head, "I feel like I should apologise," Gowther says.

I close my eyes and clench my fists, scrunching up the hem of my dress, "Just give me some space," I tell him as a tear falls onto my clenched fist.

Meliodas's P.O.V.

I walk up the stairs, "You make sure that wife of yours is alright! You're a right mess when she's not around!" Hawk yells at me.

I chuckle softly, knowing he's right and I look at the door of our bedroom and see Gowther walking out, "Gowther... What were you doing?" I ask as I stand near him with my hands stuffed in my pockets.

"Trying to help Y/N. I wasn't much help," Gowther tells me.

I watch him a little, as usual, there's no expression but I notice the conflicted emotion flash in his eyes so I know that he's everything he could think of, "Thank you for trying, Gowther," he nods and walks off as I walk the bedroom and looks at Y/N who is curled up on our bed, hugging her Nightshadefol, "Now... What's wrong with this picture?" I ask, walking over to the bed and lying on the bed, looking at her.

"I'm sulking," she states.

"Yes, you are... Why?"

"He couldn't find where I've heard the voices before," she tells me.

"Come here," I pull Y/N into my arms and kiss her head, "Don't worry about this, the voices are probably from the dream because it's a recurring dream," Y/N holds my hand and I kiss her knuckles, "You don't need to work until you feel better, I was just thinking spending time with the girls would make you feel better," I say.

"Aww..." she looks at me and kisses my cheek, "Thank you for trying to make me feel better but I just need these moments," Y/N says.

I look at her and smile softly, "Ready to come down? I won't make you work," he says.

Y/N thinks for a moment, "Yeah, I'll come down," Y/N says with a slight nod.

Y/N and I make our way downstairs and join everyone in the tavern, "Here she is... Feeling better, Wolfy?" Ban asks.

"Yeah, I'm getting there, Foxy," Y/N looks at me and smiles, "All thanks for my... Sexy Dragon," Y/N says and kisses my cheek before walking over to Ban, quickly.

"You called me it!" I exclaim in surprise pointing at her.

"And I never will again," Y/N says and sits with Ban.

"No, no, no, no, no! Keep calling me that!" I rush to them as they look at me, "You two have nicknames and I'm your mate... I don't have a nickname," I say with my hands on my hips.

"I call you Meli..."

"That's part of my name!"

"But... I like your name," I blink at her response as she smiles, "And I like Meli," I can't help but smile as I see her blushing and I kiss her, "I'll call you the name you want, every so often," Y/N promises me.

"I love you," I whisper.

"Okay, you two are being mushy, that's too much for me while I'm not drunk," Ban complains, in a joking manner.

"Look, another Poster Girl showed up!" A customer says and everyone looks over.

Gowther poses, "Say hello to the Boar Hat's fifth Poster Girl, Gowther. May I take your order?" He asks.

Hawk poses on Gowther's head, "And don't you dare forget about the Boar Hat's Immortal Scraps Star, Lord Hawk!" He declares.

Ban, Harlequinn and I stare blankly, "Rejected," we say together.

Y/N sighs, "Maybe I came downstairs too soon..." she mutters and stands up.

"No!" Diane, Harlequinn, Ban and I shout and my lover sits down again.

"No!" Diane, Harlequinn, Ban and I shout and my lover sits down again

Y/N's P.O.V.

Meliodas, Merlin, Ban, Gowther, Diane, Harlequinn and I stand together in the throne room as King Bartra looks at us, "A shadow of the Ten Commandments?" Meliodas questions.

"Is it some kind of sign?" Diane asks.

"His Highness's power, Vision," Harlequinn informs.

"Through ambiguous words and visuals, he makes predictions about what will happen in the future," Merlin explains.

Gowther adjusts his glasses, "With virtually one hundred per cent accuracy," he says.

King Bartra straightens up, "Listen, there's still one more omen," he said.

"We're listening, what did you see?" Meliodas asks as he steps forward and I place my hand on his arm.

"According to the vision, in a kingdom to the south," King Bartra says.

"The South?" Merlin questions.

"A new nation is emerging. In Camelot, the capital, a monstrous threat swiftly approaches," King Bartra continues.

"Y/N...."

I feel a shiver run down my spine and glance behind me to see nothing there, "Y/N?" I flinch and look at King Bartra, "I saw something... About you," The Sins look at me as my eyes widen, "One of the shadows wraps itself around you and..."

"And..." I ask and grab Meliodas's hand.

"Your Highness?" Meliodas says as he intertwines our fingers.

"...Your light drains from you..." the king says.

Ban and Harlequinn look confused, "My light?" I question as Meliodas glances at me and pulls me closer to her.

"It's going to be okay. I'm here," he whispers to me and kisses my head.

Chapter Text

Y/N's P.O.V

Meliodas and I head to the stairs in new outfits that Elizabeth gifted us with. I'm now wearing a low-back cut light (f/c) dress that comes to my mid-thighs, but I'm still able to fight in it, I think, it has a small Boar Hat logo at the bottom on her right hip. Meliodas and I creep downstairs, hearing Hawk and Elizabeth talking downstairs, I stop before we reach the stairs as we listen into their conversation, "The king wants to hold an award ceremony for us?" Hawk asks.

"Yes! My father is absolutely determined to have one for the Eight Deadly Sins. You're invited too, of course!" Elizabeth tells him.

"...Shouldn't it be for me and the Eight Deadly Sins also happen to be invited?" Elizabeth giggles, "What? What's so funny?" Hawk asks.

Meliodas leaps into the room as I fly over to him, "Sorry to keep ya waiting!" we stand together as Elizabeth beams seeing us in our new outfits, "Tada! How do we look, Elizabeth? We can also use these as our new uniforms for the bar!" Meliodas beams.

Meliodas leaps into the room as I fly over to him, "Sorry to keep ya waiting!" we stand together as Elizabeth beams seeing us in our new outfits, "Tada! How do we look, Elizabeth? We can also use these as our new uniforms for the bar!" Meliodas beams

"Much better than your taste... Though I'm not a fan of a singular logo randomly but... I'll get over it," I say as I twirl in the air.

Elizabeth giggles, "Yes! Yes! You both look wonderful!" she says.

"How did you get our sizes?" Meliodas asks.

"I asked Stephan if he knew and he did, so he helped me," Elizabeth tells them.

"Stephan, huh?" I smile, "You two... See each other often?" I say with a teasing tone.

Elizabeth blushes and Meliodas smiles, "Oh? What's this, Elizabeth?" Meliodas joins in with a teasing tone.

"I-I don't know what you two are talking about!" Elizabeth panics.

"Hey!" Hawk jumps onto Meliodas's head and bounces, "Stop embarrassing her!" he scolds the couple.

Meliodas looks at me with a raised eyebrow, "Why am I the one who is getting told off and attacked, when you started the teasing?" he asks.

I playfully flip my hair over my shoulder, "I'm just amazing like that," I giggle and look at Elizabeth, "I love your dress Elizabeth! So pretty~" I gush.

"T-Thank you!" Elizabeth smiles.

"My preparations are complete as well," we all turn to see Gowther in his new outfit, and he poses, with two fingers by his eye, "Sparkle," he says.

Elizabeth looks at Gowther unsurely, as Meliodas and Hawk stare at him blankly, "Who chose those clothes for you?" Meliodas and Hawk ask together.

Gowther places his hands hands over his mouth, "My cute lover did," he tells him.

Meliodas folds his arms, "You've read so many books that you're losing your grip on reality," Meliodas says.

"Oh, hush. You look lovely!" I compliment.

"So do you!" Gowther replies and they high-ten, kicking a leg backwards and lightly cheers.

Meliodas walks up behind me, wraps an arm over my stomach and pulls me back into him, "Y/N, please stop encouraging him," I look at my husband and go to speak, "And don't say that you encourage me... Again," he says.

"You're just a meanie," I say softly as I puff my cheeks out slightly.

"Quit being adorable," Meliodas lightly rubs his cheek against mine, "You know what it does to me," he whispers.

"Would you knock it off!" Hawk yells.

"Oh? You guys seem to be having fun," Harlequinn says as he floats over yawning.

"Little Brother!" I greet and fly out of Meliodas's arms, hugging my brother and spins us around.

"Wow!" Harlequinn says as he holds on.

"King and Y/N's personalities have switched again. She had more energy while he doesn't," Gowther observes.

"It's called a good night's sleep, at last," Meliodas replies.

"Kingy hasn't changed. Oh wait," Hawk notices the helmet on his hood, "What's that on your hood? A helmet?" Hawk asked.

"Oooh! Let me see! Let me see!" I say excitedly as I fly over my brother and look at the helmet, "Oh... It's Helbram's, aww so sweet!"

"Who?" Hawk asks.

"It's a gift from my best friend," Harlequinn looks at me, "Hey, do you know where Diane is?"

"I think she was getting a new outfit from Merlin," I tilt my head.

"Hey guys, I'm over here! Look outside!" we all head outside to see Diane in a new outfit, "Merlin made this for me! How do I look? How do I look?" Merlin appears beside Meliodas, "Oh! Merlin! I had a hard time choosing between the two you made for me, but I decided on this one!"

"...But I only made one..." Merlin says.

I look over at my brother who is in his human chubbier form, blushing with his thumbs up and I glance at Meliodas, "Hey, brother..." I whisper in his ear.

"Huh?" Harlequinn looks at her, "Yeah, sure. It'll be fun!" Harlequinn smiles and I cheer.

Meliodas looks at us with his arms folded, "What are you two planning?" he asks.

"Nothing," Harlequinn and I say together.

Ban walks out of the tavern, "What? It's already time for the festival?" Ban asks.

"Oh, Ban's new outfit is..." Diane looks over to Ban excitedly and sees he's in his usual outfit, "NOT BEING WORN!"

I fly over to Meliodas and wrap my arms around his shoulders from behind, "Hello you," Meliodas smiles.

"Hello," I giggle and the two of us go into our own little world, nuzzling our cheeks and brushing our noses together as our friends argue amongst themselves about Ban not wearing his new outfit.

"Well, well, well, it's almost time for the festival to begin!" Meliodas says, attracting everyone's attention as I keep my arms around his shoulders.

"Sir Meliodas, please let me help with the work as well!" Elizabeth requests.

"Are you sure?" Meliodas asks.

"Yes!"

I look at Elizabeth and think for a moment, "Actually..." I fly over to Elizabeth and wrap my arms around one of Elizabeth's arms, "I'd like to borrow you for the night if that's okay," I smile at her softly, "Please, there's something I think you would be able to help me with."

"Oh, of course!" Elizabeth replies.

I look at my husband and brother, "We'll be back later," I say and lead Elizabeth away, hearing the Sin's words briefly before they head inside.

"I won't what they're talking about?" Meliodas asks.

"Who knows," Ban answers.

I lead Elizabeth away from the tavern and we sit on a grassy hill, looking out at the kingdom, "Is everything okay, Lady Y/N?" Elizabeth asks.

"Yes! I uh... I wanted to ask you... Because you've been in my position, away from your home, not truly knowing if everyone's okay... Whether... If you could return their memories of you... Would you do it?" I ask as I brush my fingers through the grass, nervously.

"I... That's a difficult one to answer, I left knowing my family to find the Eight Deadly Sins to stop the Holy Knights, but I always knew one day when everything was back to normal, I'd return to them... I think if they didn't remember me, I don't think I'll be able to face tomorrow after all these weeks if I wasn't here now," Elizabeth says.

"It is kinda hard to imagine being in my position, isn't it?" I say and look ahead at the fireworks that go off over the kingdom, "Beautiful."

Elizabeth looks at them, "It is... Lady Y/N... If you want to return to your people you should go," I look at her in surprise as she looks back at me with a smile, "I'm sure Sir Meliodas will follow you, and I'm positive King will be overjoyed... No one is pressuring you to return to them at this exact moment... I'd suggest, thinking it over a little more, and talking to Sir Meliodas about this will help you a lot," Elizabeth says.

"Yeah, you're right... I'll talk to Meli again about this... Thanks, Elizabeth," I smile at her.

"Talk to me about what?" we turn to see Meliodas walking up to us with a smile on his face, "Is everything okay?" he asks.

"I'll let you both talk," Elizabeth says and walks off into the tavern.

Meliodas smiles at Elizabeth before he sits beside me, "Let me guess... You're second-guessing your decision to not return to your people?" I bring my knees up to my chest and wrap my arms around them.

Of course. He knows me too well!

"Hey, now... Come on," Meliodas places an arm around me and pulls me into him, "I'll go anywhere with you, you know that, right?" I nod as I rest my head on his shoulder, "But I can't go there again, I brought a demon with me last time... Well, I didn't bring it, it followed me..."

I close my eyes and try to control my breathing, I don't want to be separated from him, but I want to know how everyone is back home, "I know... I just... Liones and Camelot know who I am, but the fairies don't... My people don't... I don't know why... Why didn't I just fight instead of making everyone forget me? What the hell was I thinking?!" I question, as I start getting annoyed at my past actions.

Meliodas starts to rub my arm and kisses my head, "Shhh, it's okay... Listen to me, sweetheart... Whatever you choose, whatever you want to do, I'll back you," we look at each other, "What does your heart want you to do?" Meliodas asks.

"It wants to see my people... Or what's left of them," I cry into him.

Meliodas pulls me onto his lap and keeps me in his arms, "Then go find them," Meliodas kisses my head, "And I'll be in the tavern waiting for you to return to me," Meliodas says.

I look up at him and place my hand on his cheek, as he smiles at me softly, "A...Are you sure?" I ask.

"Yes," he tucks my blonde hair behind my ear, "Darling, this is something you need to do, I understand. It's not going to be forever, so I can cope without you for a few days," Meliodas starts blinking then suddenly buries his face between my breasts, "Let me get some snuggle time with these babies first!"

I start laughing and hold him into me, my face blushing brightly, "Mel..." he hums against my skin, "I know there are fireworks and work tonight... But... Since I'm leaving tomorrow morning, the sooner I start searching for them the quicker I'm back to you," he looks at me, his eyes tearful and it breaks my heart so I pull him into me again, "So... Do you want to stay with me tonight? All night? And have some alone time?"

Meliodas nods against me, "Yes..." his voice breaks.

"I'll... I'll head in first," I fly off instantly, wiping away my tears and I hear Meliodas following me inside.

Meliodas and I spend the evening together, as I prepare my travel outfit and make sure that Meliodas has everything he needs while I'm away. Once everything is sorted, the two of us spend time in each other's arms, talking, lightly crying and making promises to one another about our future, we weren't together for a few minutes when Meliodas went to check everything was locked up when the tavern closed, which I was completely fine with. I love him when he goes into business mode, no matter what the situation is, a battle, making me smile or making sure our family is safe.

The next morning, I'm awake and dressed in black shorts and a white vest top with a low back, nude tights and my armour boots that reach my knees

The next morning, I'm awake and dressed in black shorts and a white vest top with a low back, nude tights and my armour boots that reach my knees. I walk over to Meliodas who is still asleep in our bed, after last night I want to let him sleep due to how much both of us had cried together but selfishly, I want a real goodbye and a goodbye kiss.

I brush his blonde hair from his fore and kiss his forehead, stirring him awake, "Is it time?" he whispers as his eyes flutter open, looking at me.

"Yeah, it is... I love you so much, honey," I whisper.

"I love you too..." Meliodas sits up, rubbing his eyes and I can't help but smile at him, "Ban's leaving today too... He might have an idea where everyone is," he whispers.

"Okay, thanks... I'm gonna..." I whisper and trail off, I hadn't discussed my thoughts about taking my brother with me.

"Drag King with you?" I smile softly and guilty at him as I nod, "I understand... Contact me if you need me, okay?" he says.

"Same to you, too," we kiss softly, "Thank you for understanding," I say, kissing his forehead again and flying out of our room before I change my mind again, with my Nightshadefol in my arm.

I fly over to Harlequinn who is asleep in the tavern on his Chastiefol and I slap his face lightly, waking him up, "Huh? What?" Harlequinn looks at me sleepily, "You and Captain had a fight?" he asks.

"What? No... I'm... I'm leaving and-" I begin to say.

"You're leaving too?" Harlequinn asks as his eyes open fully in surprise, looking at me.

I nod, "Yeah... I, uh, I changed my mind about our people remembering me... And I uh... Was wondering, if you wanted to come with me?" I tell him.

Harlequinn flies up to be eye level with me, "Seriously?! But where would we go?" Harlequinn asks.

I shrug, "Meli mentioned that Ban might know since he was the last one to see the place," I say.

"He's leaving too... To find a way to revive Elaine though..." Harlequinn tells me.

My eyebrows raise with a small smile, "Huh... Guess her siblings should know more about this... Come on, we'll ambush him," I tell him and pull Harlequinn out of the tavern and we float behind a tree waiting for Ban.

It isn't long before Ban walks out of the tavern and looks at it, "See ya, Cap'n, Wolfy, Master..." Ban says and turns around to see Harlequinn and I floating in front of him on Chastiefol and Nightshadefol.

"Hey, Ban," we say together.

"Planning on sneaking out without telling anybody?" Ban stares at us, "What? Are you so shocked that you're at a loss for words? I felt like something was off between you and the Captain last night, so I asked Mr Pig about it, and I know the gist of what's going on," Harlequinn says.

Ban walks past us, "Honestly, we're happy that Elaine means this much to you... It really does still warm my heart knowing she had someone else," I say as I hug Nightshadefol.

"But our sister is dead, and the forest she guarded was burnt down. That's reality," Harlequinn and I look at Ban, "Where would you possibly go now?" Harlequinn asks.

Ban looks back at us, "The Fairy Queen's Forest," Ban says and our faces drop in shock.

"WHAT?!" I shove Nightshadefol into Harlequinn and fly over to Ban, grabbing his collar, and lifting him off the ground as I glare at him, tearfully, "What did you just say to me... To us?!"

"The Fairy Queen's Forest... But they know it as the Fairy King's Forest... So... You coming with, Fairy Queen?" Ban asks, unfazed by my outburst, "You ready to be their Queen again?" I place Ban on the ground, my hands shaking as I stare at Ban, still in shock.

Ban is staring at me in silence as I'm trying to wrap my head around the information Ban just gave me. Harlequinn flies over to us and places his hands on my arms, "Th...The Fairy Queen's Forest?!" Harlequinn asks.

"Yep," Ban answers.

"Wha...What are you talking about? The forest completely burnt down twenty years ago, and has been a barren land without a single blade of grass since then. I was there ten years ago and saw it with my very own eyes... What could you possibly do there now?" Harlequinn questions as I'm still frozen in surprise, listening to them but not absorbing all the information.

Ban turns around to have his back facing us, "Why does it matter? It has nothing to do with you. Alright, see ya... Wolfy if you wanna join, hurry up or I'll leave ya behind," Ban says as he waves and walks ahead.

Harlequinn and I float beside each other, "Hey, Oslo..." Oslo arrives as Harlequinn takes hold of my hand, comforting me, "What did you think... About what Ban just sa-" Oslo looks away, "Huh?" Oslo stays quiet which attracts my attention, snapping me out of my daze, "Oslo?" Harlequinn says.

"Something's up with him," I take my Nightshadefol from Harlequinn, "I'm going," I say and fly after Ban

Y/N's P.O.V.

Harlequinn and I watch Ban dunk his head into a stream, drinking the water before leaning back, "PFAH! Man, that was good!" Ban says.

Harlequinn watches Ban suspiciously, "You know this isn't the way to the Fairy Forest, right?" Ban grabs Chasteifol and pushes my brother down with his foot. He starts to dry his hair with Chasteifol, "Don't use someone's Sacred Treasure as a towel!" Harlequinn exclaims.

Ban continues on his journey and Harlequinn and I continue to follow him, "Hey, Foxy..." I speak up as I glance around us.

"Yeah, what is it?" Ban asks.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"As I told you, The Fairy Queen's Forest," Ban answers.

"Alright, look..." I fly beside him, bending my body to look him in the eyes, "I know I haven't been there for centuries, but I swear it was the other way," I reply.

"No, it's this way," Harlequinn flies after us, leaning over Ban to look at him with a slight glare, "You're so annoying. How long are you going to follow us?" Ban asks.

"Until you tell my sister the truth. It's not nice leading her on like this," Harlequinn says.

"When have I ever lied to you?"

"When have you ever not lied?"

"Okay. When have I ever lied to Wolfy?"

I glance at Harlequinn who is looking at me, "Hardly ever," I say with a slight shrug.

"Are you sure about this, King? If you leave the bar without telling anyone, Diane will get worried. Come to think of it, she was saying "If King ever left, I'd die of loneliness!" Yep," Ban says.

Harlequinn's face turns bright red, "Wha... Really?!" Harlequinn asks.

"Nope!" Ban answers bluntly and Harlequinn suddenly attacks Ban in the attack with Chastiefol in its Increase dagger form as I cover my mouth with my hands, trying not to giggle at the two of them.

"Yeah, I figured..." Harlequinn smiles sadly as I fly over to him, "Diane only thinks of me as a comrade and a friend," Harlequinn says.

"Didn't you two go to the festival together?" I frown in confusion.

"Diane is a nice girl who has a strong sense of obligation. That was just her way of thanking me for saving her. I think," Harlequinn says.

Ban grins, "King... Not that I care at all!" My eye twitches and I punch Ban in the back of his head, "Oww."

Harlequinn grumbles under his breath, "Ban? You already have Elaine, so what is that over there?" Harlequinn asks, pointing to the side with his thumb.

"Yeah... That?" Ban pulls out his three-sector staff as my brother and I turn around and Ban uses his weapon to send a shockwave to a boulder, causing it to crumble.

Standing behind the boulder is Jericho, "He...Hey!" she says, her cheeks slightly pink.

"It's Janko!" Ban says.

Jericho storms over to them, "It's Jericho!"

"Right, Jericho. What are you doing here?" Ban asks.

"I...I just happened to be wandering around the bar that you were staying at... Yeah. And then I saw you leaving to go somewhere, so I was..." Harlequinn and I watch her as she stands in front of Ban, pointing at him, "I was curious, so I follow you for a bit! You got a problem?!"

I lean into Harlequinn, "How is twenty miles a bit?" I ask in a whisper.

"I don't have the slightest clue," Harlequinn whispers.

"Why are you following me?" Ban asks as he looks at Jericho, confused.

Jericho stares up at him and blushes, "Like hell I know! That's what I want to know! Anyway, it's all your fault! Take responsibility and take me with you!" Jericho tells him.

"The hell? That's so annoying," Ban says.

"Hey," I hug Ban from behind and look at Jericho, "One second, honey," I turn Ban around so he's facing us, "So, uh... What did you do to her again?" I ask.

"Yeah, seriously, she's glaring at you," Harlequinn whispers.

"I just stripped her once, that's all," Ban sighs, "Back in Baste Prison, before I busted you out," Ban answers.

"Oh... Wait you stripped her?" Ban nods, "And you love Elaine?" I question and Ban nods again.

"You're a terrible man," My brother and I say together.

"I'll get the fly swatter out in a minute, you two," Ban warns us.

"I'll still kick your ass," I smirk.

"You would, but he won't," Ban points to Harlequinn.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

The four of us continue walking through Britannia, following Ban, "I...I should've packed lunch," Jericho breathes heavily.

"I'm making you the leader, Ban," Harlequinn yawns.

"I miss Meli..." I sigh sadly as I hug Nightshadefol.

"...How did we end up with such a bizarre party?" Ban looks at me, "And if you miss him so much, go back!" he yells.

"Hey! What are you yelling at me for? You invited me! I brought Harlequinn, she's the tag along," I say.

"I'm not tagging along," Jericho says.

"Kinda are, honey," I reply.

"Why do you call me that?" Jericho asks.

"You smell like honey... When it's frosted," I shrug.

Harlequinn flies over Ban and bends down to look at him, upside-down, "So, Mr Bizarre Leader, are we there yet?" Harlequinn asks.

"Don't call me that," Ban looks up at Harlequinn, "But seriously, King. You really shouldn't come. It's for your own good," Ban looks at me, "And Wolfy," I look back at him, "Are you certain this is what you want to do? You might not get the best reaction either," Ban says.

"Huh? What are you talking about? If you are going to the Fairy Queen's Forest as you say you are, then shouldn't I go there too? If they don't want me there, I'll just leave... I wanna see that everyone is okay and to know they all weren't butchered, is that so wrong?" I reply.

"She's right... And since they won't remember her straight away, I think my presence would be a necessity. The forest can judge the people that pass through with its conscience, so it's highly possible that a villain like you would get rejected. But if you're with me, who is currently known as the Fairy King, I might be able to do something about it," Harlequinn says.

Jericho looks at us confused, "Hey, what are you two talking about? Aren't fairies and fairy forests just legends and fairy tales? Isn't Y/N playing pretend? She's a human," Jericho asks.

I look at Jericho in surprise, "Did you just call me a human?" I question.

"Uh, yeah..." Jericho replies.

I look at my brother, "She insulted my beautiful wings," my voice wavers as I tear up.

"No, she didn't," Harlequinn playfully tosses my towards Ban, making me roll over to Ban on Nightshadefol, "Jericho, by the time you were born, the forest was already burnt down. But aren't, Y/N, the real Fairy Queen, and me, currently known as Fairy King, being right in front of your eyes enough proof for you?" Harlequinn questions.

"Isn't Fairy Queen and Fairy King just a nickname?" Jericho asks.

"How rude!" I whine and hug Ban from behind, "You're my favourite human."

Ban taps my hand a couple of times, "You're my second favourite fairy... My favourite alive fairy, though," Ban replies, "Until she's back."

"I'll take it!" I cheer.

"No matter how you look at it, we're real fairies... Y/N's wings are real!" Harlequinn says.

"But then, all the fairies in the picture books and from looking at Y/N then, have wings, don't they? Why don't you?" Jericho asks.

"Th...That's because-" Harlequinn begins.

"It's like developing breasts and when a bloke's balls drop, Jericho," I blurt out as Ban laughs and Harlequinn blushes as Jericho looks surprised, "I mean... You weren't born with breasts, I wasn't... And Ban didn't have this voice when he first started talking, did he?" I ask.

"You're very different without the Cap'n," Ban observes.

"Oh hush," I reply and a fog suddenly surrounds us, "Huh?"

"When did this fog?!" Jericho moves closer to Ban and grabs his arm, "Isn't this fog too thick?!" Jericho questions.

"Don't grab other people's arms," Ban says.

"Wha... What am I supposed to do? I can't even see what's in front of me! Forget going to the forest, we can't take a single step!" Jericho says.

I feel a warm breeze run over my entire body as if Meliodas's arms were being wrapped around me, bringing me home, "Oh my god..." I hold onto Harlequinn's arm, "Do you feel that?" I ask.

"No... What?" Harlequinn asks.

"We're fine... We're already here," Ban says.

"I feel it..." I fly over to Ban and hug him from behind.

"Easy now," he grabs my hand.

"What?!" Harlequinn and Jericho question.

Jericho goes to move but feels her foot caught in a tree root and yanks her foot from it, "Hey, weren't we just walking through a rocky pass just now? Why are there tree roots?" Jericho hears sniffling and looks to see I'm hugging Ban tightly and crying into his back, "Huh? What's going on?"

I point forward and Jericho looks ahead to see a new Fairy Forest as King stares in shock, "You okay?" Ban asks.

"Thank you..." I whisper.

"Hey, whatcha talking about? Come on," Ban pulls me in front of him, as tears fall from my eyes, sniffs and wipes away her tears, "You really don't look pretty when you're crying," something inside me snaps and I grab his cheeks, pulling at them, "There's my Wolfy!" Ban says and I release him with a smile.

"No...No way," we see fairies flying in the distance, "I don't believe it! Fairies do exist!" Jericho exclaims happily.

"Harlequinn, Harlequinn," I reach for Harlequinn and fly over to him, hugging him as we look at the young Sacred Tree, "Do you feel it now?" I ask with a smile.

"I can definitely feel the same power as the Sacred Tree of the Fairy Forest from that young tree... So..." Harlequinn places his hands on my arms, "The Fairy Forest really was still alive," Harlequinn wipes away his tears, "Great... Great!" he says and I place my head against his.

"The Fairy King!" Fairies call out and Harlequinn and I look up.

"That's... Cisca, Ende and Melik!" Harlequinn says.

"Huh... They've grown, how lovely," I smile softly and release Harlequinn.

"Fairy King!" the three fairies fly down.

Harlequinn flies up happily, "Everyone! You're all alive! I'm so happy to see you again!" Harlequinn calls out.

The three fairies look at him in surprise, "Harlequinn the traitor?!"

"What are you doing here?! Leave this place, now!"

"What?" Harlequinn questions.

"Because you left the forest seven hundred years ago, Lady Elaine was!"

"She guarded the first by herself all that time and lost her life to the demon's attack because of you!"

"Harlequinn..." I go to fly to him but Ban stops me, "Ban..."

"If you had come back soon, Lady Elaine and the forest wouldn't have had to die!"

The three fairies fly past him but Ende stops, "...The forest should have been destroyed then, but because he was entrusted with the seed of the Sacred Tree by Lady Elaine... The forest was revived," she flies on.

"No, all I did was plant the seed," Ban says.

"Welcome back, Fairy King Ban!" the three fairies say.

Melik looks at me, "Who's this Fairy King Ban?"

"A lost fairy?" Cisca asks

"Such pretty wings, I'm jealous!" Ende says.

Ban glances at me, "Stay beside me, 'kay? Cap'n would have my head permanently off my shoulders if something happens to you," Ban says.

"O...Okay," I nod and follow him with Jericho and Harlequinn to the young Sacred Tree.

"We're inside the tree?" Jericho questions.

"Come over here, King," Ban says as I keep my arms around his shoulders and stare ahead in shock.

"What?" Harlequinn questions and Ban pushes Harlequinn in front of him to see Elaine.

"Oh..." I mutter.

"Go on," Ban whispers.

I hesitate and fly up from Ban's shoulders, flying over Ban, "A... Little girl? Is she... A fairy... Too?" Jericho asks.

"Elaine..." I whisper and Harlequinn flies off quickly, "No! Harlequinn!" I fly after him and wrap my arms around him, "I caught you! Huh... Our roles were reversed just then... Talk to me..."

"I can't do it, sister... The way I am now... I don't even have the courage to look at Elaine's face-" Harlequinn says until he's hit in the face with a stone and my eyes widen.

"Leave the forest, Harlequinn!"

"Even if King Ban allows it... We won't stand for it!"

"Hey, new fairy! You shouldn't be friends with him!"

"Huh? New fairy?" I look confused, "Oh, right... Me," I pull Harlequinn into a hug, "I'm here with you," I whisper but Harlequinn pulls me behind him as the fairies start shouting and throwing more stones and branches at him as he keeps me covered.

Oslo appears, "Oslo!" Harlequinn calls out and I look at Oslo as the Black Hound enlarges and scares the fairies.

"Oslo, enough! Come down, please!" I call out and the Black Hound shrinks and looks at us.

"Thanks... But... They're not in the wrong..." Harlequinn sobs and I hug him tighter, "It's just like they said. I abandoned this forest and our sister to save my best friend and the others. But... Not only couldn't I save anybody, I even had to kill my best friend with my own hands," Harlequinn says.

"Well, I abandoned you and Elaine, making you both pick up my pieces. Made everyone forget me, what was I thinking? You left to save your best friend, who can be angry at that?" I reply as I sit down.

Oslo licks my face causing me to giggle as Harlequinn sits with me, "You did that to protect us, you made everyone forget because you loved a demon and that's why the demon first attacked... You protected everyone," Harlequinn says.

I smile softly, "We're a pair aren't we? Same mistake, abandoning our family and never returning until it was too late," I say and lean into Harlequinn who hugs me and Oslo lays over our legs, as we look out to the forest.

Chapter 10: 008

Chapter Text

Y/N's P.O.V.

I stare out at the Fairy Forest, brushing my fingers through Harlequinn's hair as Oslo lightly barks to us, "I'm a failure of a king, even a failure of a prince, beyond saving," I glance at Harlequinn as he speaks and Oslo barks, "Let's go back to the kingdom? Maybe... But... Now that the kingdom is at peace, The Eight Deadly Sins aren't needed anymore," Harlequinn tucks his head into my hair, "I'm neither the Fairy King, nor the Fairy Prince, nor a member of the Eight Deadly Sins. I'm a nobody," Harlequinn mumbles.

"You're my brother, that makes you somebody to me," I say and kiss his head.

"And Diane... She's probably better off without me, too..." Harlequinn sobs into me, "Tell me, who... Who am I?" he questions as he puts his hood up to hide his tears.

I go to speak, "You're you," Harlequinn and I flinch and look up to see Helbram with his arms folded across his chest, "You're still the same cry baby you've always been and you, My Queen, still self-destructing," Helbram says.

"He...Helbram?!" we call out.

"You remember me?!" I ask.

"I'm dead, of course, I do," Helbram says and bows.

Harlequinn lifts off the helmet, "Bu...But you died!" he looks around, "What? Was that... An illusion?"

"No, he's still there," I say, pointing at him.

"No, your sister's right, I'm not an illusion. My soul or something is resting in this helmet. You can only see me if you're looking through it, though... But it seems, given the Queen's power, she can see me when I'm talking," Helbram says.

"Makes... No sense," I answer as Harlequinn puts the helmet on.

"See?" Helbram says.

"I'm just gonna let you two talk..." I say and lean back into Nightshadefol as I pet Oslo until I feel an ominous power suddenly appear and I look towards it.

"Y/N... You really have grown up well... It won't be long my darling girl, I'll see you again. Very soon..."

I feel a shiver run down my spine as I sit up, "Are you okay?" Harlequinn asks as he floats beside me.

"Yeah... Let's get something to eat... I must be hungry," I say and fly off, with him following me and I see Jericho eating berries, "Hey, look... Jericho!" I fly over, "Still out here?"

"Uh, yeah... I was getting hungry," she answers.

"How long do you plan on sitting around here in the Fairy Forest?" Harlequinn asks her.

"Huh? And it concerns you why?" she asks.

"Only a few select humans are welcome in the Fairy Forest..." Harlequinn says.

"I wouldn't say you're exactly welcome yourself, Fairy King," Harlequinn grumbles, "Wherever Ban goes, I go..."

I roll my eyes and zone out as I feel a dark power slowly drawing closer, I look at the sky and forest around me, but nothing seems any different. I flinch when I hear Jericho screeching and look to see she is naked and Harlequinn is scolding Ban.

"As soon as I finish taking care of preparations, I'll be leaving this forest," Ban says.

"Are you returning to the bar?" Harlequinn asks.

"Nope, I'm going to search for some way to revive Elaine. You guys should leave the forest too. Since I'm here now the fairies are all behaving... But, the truth is, they'd like nothing more than to chase you out of here," Ban says.

"Sounds about right," I comment.

"Ban... How about we try to consult with Merlin about Elaine? I'm sure she must know of some feasible method... And on top of that, knowing the Captain, he'd gladly lend us his strength in the matter! Elaine is his family too, don't forget who he married," Harlequinn says.

"I don't have any intention of returning to The Eight Deadly Sins..." Ban says.

I watch as Harlequinn and Ban go back and forth about his actions towards searching for a way to bring Elaine back on his own.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Harlequinn is petting Oslo, "See ya Oslo, please open a portal to Liones for us... The Fairy Forest no longer needs me, so..." he looks over at me as I watch him, "Are you coming too?" he asks.

"Yeah, I need Meli..." I answer.

"Hey, Jericho...Are you planning on staying behind in the forest? Sure you won't regret it?" Harlequinn asks.

"Just leave me be, after all, it's not like I'm a Holy Knight anymore. Besides, I'm sick and tired of having to choke down your lifestyle," Jericho says as we look confused before the forest shakes, "Wha...What is this?! An earthquake?!"

"No... The forest..." We watch as plants grow instantly, "The forest is growing..." Harlequinn says.

"What?! Stop talking nonsense! There's no way a forest just ups and has a growth spurt like that!" Jericho says.

"That's right, normally it would not. Even though this was grown from a seed of the Sacred Tree from the Fairy Queen's forest, there's no way it could have grown this big in just 20 years. After all, the fountain of youth doesn't exist anymore," Harlequinn says and looks at me.

"Don't look at me, I'm not using my magic. The people hate you, they'll probably hate me too," I say.

"No, it does," we turn to see Ende, "Once every few years... That person comes back to give life to the forest," Ende says.

"Ban does? Of course! He drank it... So, he has its powers for the forest," I say.

"You couldn't have worked that out earlier, huh?" Harlequinn questions.

"Well, neither could you," I answer.

"Lady... What did you mean, you weren't using your magic?" Ende flies over to me, "Who are you? You look familiar..."

"I'm no one import...Ant..." I turn around sensing the forest is nervous.

"Sister? What is it?" Harlequinn asks.

"Sister?" Ende questions.

"The forest... It's unsettled, can't you sense it, brother?" I ask.

"N...Not right now..." he answers.

"Y/N... What is it?" Jericho asks as Nightshadefol grabs her by the corners of the pillow and brings her down to the ground, "Oh, thank you..."

"Sir Ban! There's a big scary monster outside the forest!"

"Monster?!" Harlequinn and I say and look up to see a long Albion demon standing in the forest, I watch it shock as it cuts some of the trees in half.

"No, no, no, no, not again!" I say as I fly up, "Nightshadefol!" Nightshadefol flies up to me, turning into a purple scythe and I direct it towards the Albion, hitting it in its head, making it bend backwards as Nightshadefol turns into a gigantic Sunflower, "Don't you dare think about coming after my home... I'm gonna do what I should've done a thousand years ago, and fucking fight properly!"

"Sister!" Harlequinn calls out to me.

"Stay out this Harlequinn! This is my fight!" he flinches as I look at him while I move my arms, controlling Nightshadefol to attack the Albion, "Just do as I say and stay out of the way, get to safety... I'll still be right here when you come back."

"But, you weren't last time!" Harlequinn yells.

"I promise you... I'll still be here... Now Sunflower Drop, to the sky," I snap my finger and Nightshadefol sends a beam of Sunlight Drop to the sky, causing rain to pour over the forest, healing any injured fairy and regaining their memories of me.

I hear the fairies muttering below, "What the? It's raining?" "Who's that?" "Y/N?!"

The Albion swipes its arm at me, knocking me into a tree, "Heh... This is gonna be fun," I smirk as I stand up and fly back up and wipe the blood from my mouth, "I won't let you have your way with my home. You want to destroy my home, my people, you'll have to go through me!"

"Sister!" Harlequinn calls out to me.

"Prince Harlequinn?! Please, you have to get to safety!"

"No, I'm not leaving her!" Harlequinn yells.

"Protector!" I yell and Nightshadefol turns into a gigantic purple bear and starts punching and kicking the Albion making it lean backwards, "Bumblebee!" Nightshadefol turns into a dagger and rapidly attacks Albion.

I notice a shadow cover me, I look up to see the Albion hand about to swat me, "Guardian!" Harlequinn yells and Chastiefol-Guardian jumps up and kicks the hand away as Harlequinn flies to me, "We're in the together, okay?"

"Harlequinn..." I mutter.

"I'm not a kid anymore, Y/N! Let me help you!" I see desperation and pleading shining through his eyes.

I nod my head, "Okay, together," I agree and we fly together, sending our spear spirits are the Albion, but we're knocked back.

"Queen Y/N! Prince Harlequinn!" Gerheade calls out.

"I won't let this forest be destroyed for a third time... Demon, will not win again," I say and snap my fingers as Nightshadefol turns into its Increase mode, flying around its head as I grab Harlequinn, stopping us from falling.

As Harlequinn and I gain our balance, Albion fires an attack at us, knocking us back, "AGH!" we fall to the ground.

"Y/N... Y/N!"

"No..." Ende mutters.

"We're coming!" Gerheade yells.

"No! Stay back!" I yell as Albion swings its arm at the Sacred Tree, cutting it in half and my eyes widen, "NO! Elaine! Ban!" I gasp seeing Ban with a root through his back, him holding Elaine, "Ban..."

Gerheade grabs both Harlequinn and I, "Lady Gerheade! Please leave it to us and get them to safety!"

"Yes!" Gerheade agrees.

"What?" I question.

"Yo...You..." Harlequinn stammers as we watch in surprise as the fairies fly passed us.

"Queen Y/N, Prince Harlequinn, please escape from here!" Ende tells her.

"You're still our Queen and Prince after all!"

"Please don't die, we want to hear all about your adventures since you last saved us!"

"We can't wait to see Lord Meliodas again!"

"What?" I question in shock and Gerheade pushes Harlequinn and me away, "No! Stop! Let me go, Gerheade!" I yell.

"I will do no such thing!" I glare at her, "The forest will be revived as long as The Fairy Queen exists... But if that irreplaceable entity, The Fairy Queen, is gone, what will happen to the Fairy Race... What will happen to the forest?!" Gerheade yells.

"Gerheade! Let me go!" I yell.

"Please, don't let everyone's determination be in vain! Don't turn out like him!" Gerheade tells me and I look at her in confusion, "You are like him in every way, but if you fight that beast, it's really likely you will lose, My Queen. I cannot watch that happen, not after you almost died before."

"What? What are you talking about?!" I look at the fairies, seeing some fighting, and others being killed and reach out my hand.

"Queen Y/N?! Wh...What are you doing?!" Gerheade asks.

"Y/N?!" Harlequinn asks.

"I said before Gerheade... Let go of me!" I use my other arm and elbow her in the face, making her bump into Harlequinn releasing, "You need to work... One more time, I just need a good shot," I look ahead, "Sacred Treasure. RELEASE!" A bright light surrounds me.

Harlequinn's P.O.V.

As the bright light surrounds Y/N, Gerheade and I are knocked backwards, "I'm truly a selfish and pathetic Queen," I look over to the light and vaguely see Y/N and the other fairies fly around us, even the Albion stops, "I want to protect everyone I love, so I will protect this forest. I will protect it from my actions even if it means I have to make them forget me. I wasn't here when my sister was killed, but I'll be dammed if I lose anyone else to the likes of you!" Y/N yells.

"You make me so proud... My darling..."

"True Spirit Scythe, Nightshadefol!" she raises her hands, and Nightshadefol turns into a gigantic scythe with gold and black flames surrounding it.

"Black flames? Is that connected to Lord Meliodas or him?" Gerheade asks and I look at her in confusion.

"Who is 'him', Gerheade?" I ask.

Gerheade covers her mouth with both of her hands as tears fall, "Please, Y/N... Please don't tell me you remember... You can't remember," she whispers and I glare at her, what is she keeping from my sister?

"KILL!" Y/N yells and I look at her in shock as her hands clench, like she's holding the scythe but moves her body, slicing the Albion in half, the impact of the attack causing a large shockwave to move across the entire forest as we all cover our eyes with with arms.

As I look over my arms I see the Albion's legs as it's upper half burns away, Nightshadefol back in its normal spear form and Y/N being caught by Gerheade, "Y/N?" I fly out quickly, "Y/N!" Gerheade calls out.

"She's unconscious, let's get her back to the Sacred Tree," I tell her and we fly over, "Ban, we need your help, it's Y/N!" I call out.

"Don't... Need it..." I look at Y/N who is slowly opening her eyes, "Sunlight... Drop..." she says before closing her eyes and Nightshadefol turns into a sunflower and drops a small droplet into her mouth.

"Y/N..." Gerheade says.

"Ugh..." Y/N rolls onto her front and slowly pushes herself onto her back, "I feel like I just fought a big brute and lost."

"You did fight a big brute, My Queen, but you didn't lose!"

Y/N blinks a few times, "Queen?" she looks at the fairy, "You talking about me?"

"Well, who else? You're the First Fairy Queen after all!"

"That's great, Wolfy," Y/N looks up to see Ban looking at her with a smile, "I'll put the forest back to normal then I'll leave," Ban says.

"No... No need," Y/N stands up on wobbly legs, "I got it," she looks at Jericho, "Hey, girl... Wanna see what I meant earlier?" she's clearly ignoring Ban threatening Gerheade for her actions, against him and Elaine.

"Oh? Me? Sure," Jericho follows Y/N who walks in a shaky line to one of the gaps in the tree to see the forest, Jericho soon places her hands on her shoulders, to help her walk in a straight line.

I watch as Y/N exhales heavily, "Nightshadefol, 10th form..." Nightshadefol flies over to her and leaves the forest as she raises her hand, fairies, Ban and I hurry onto a branch, "Fountain of Youth!" Y/N says and Nightshadefol turns into a large goblet.

Ban's eyes widen, "You've gotten be kidding me!" he yells.

"No," Gerheade flies beside me, "She's the only one who's been able to produce this... Nightshadefol is the flower she was born from," Ban and I look at Gerheade, "She's older than she knows, to begin with, fairies were born from flowers, hers was nightshade... Deadly Nightshade, to be correct. Nightshade grows within the Sacred Tree, in the original tree it was beside the Fountain of Youth and the flowers itself got a lot of splashes from the fountain, especially when fairies needed healing... The flower absorbed the magic from the water and she can recreate a version of the Fountain of Youth, but just for the growth of the forest," Gerheade explains.

"Seriously? Damn..." Ban says.

"Gerheade... Who is this him you were talking about?" I ask.

"Watch," Gerheade tells me and we look up to see the goblet tilt and spin, sprinkling the entire forest in its water, the forest shakes and repairs itself.

"Gerheade," we look to see Y/N flying over, "Who used to call me... ARGH!" she suddenly drops to the ground.

"Y/N!" I jump down with Gerheade, Ban and Jericho, seeing her trying to pull her shirt off her back.

"Get it off!" she yells.

"What?" I ask.

"Get it off me!" she yells and Ban rips the back of her shirt suddenly.

"Ban!" I yell at him.

I gasp seeing her wings briefly change their shape and she screams crawling at the ground, "I don't think that's normal..." Jericho says.

"No, no, no, no, not again!" Gerheade rushes to Y/N and sits on her knees, grabbing her hands, "Look at me, Y/N, look at me," Y/N looks at her, "Prince Harlequinn, watch what I do," I nod, "I need you to breath, okay? I need you to calm down."

"Calm down?! My entire back feels like it's being torn to shreds!" she yells as she quivers in pain.

"Well, it's not, if that helps..." Jericho says then Ban covers her mouth, knowing she wasn't helping the situation.

"Tell me about your dreams," I look at Gerheade in shock, how does she know about them?

"I...I'm in front of ten shadows... One is reaching for me... Calling me their darling girl," she says as tears fall.

"And then what happens?" Gerheade asks.

"She wakes up," I answer.

"You felt someone else in one of these dreams, right? What happened that time?" Gerheade asks.

"Meliodas... He..." Ban and I look at her, she never told me this part before, "He grabs me, taking me away...But he's different... He's wearing green... Holding a gigantic blade... He...He promises I'm going to be okay and that he will protect me and never let me go," she says and I notice her calming down.

"Think of Meliodas, think of your husband," Gerheade says and Y/N's breathing calms down and her golden wings settle in their original shape, and shine brighter, "There we..." she all flinch as Y/N yelps and sees the wings grow by an inch, "Go..."

"Wow..." Jericho leans closer to the wings, "So shiny," she backs up quickly when Y/N starts fluttering them.

"Y/N, what are you doing?" I ask.

"It's not me," Y/N looks over her shoulder as she holds Gerheade's hand and she gasps, seeing her wings shine brighter then the shine dulls a little and her wings have a green edging, "What the heck?!"

"Hey, they changed!" Jericho observes.

"Very good observation, Jonko," Ban comments.

"That's... Not normal," Y/N looks at Gerheade worriedly, "Gerheade..." she says.

Gerheade cups her cheeks and smiles at her softly, "It's okay... I've seen a fairy lose their wings and new wings grow from nothing before because the Sacred Tree deemed that fairy worthy of a new pair... The forest is thanking you for returning to m... Us," Gerheade corrects herself as she tears up, "For fighting for us, for healing the forest... Your wings have not yet finished developing, because you are who are you, your siblings were also late bloomers," my cheeks turn pink as I fold my arms, "So, I'm not surprised they haven't finished becoming what they're meant to be," Gerheade says.

"I...I'll go make you a new dress... I'll make the back completely bear so that nothing gets its way," I say.

"We'll help get supplies!" Ende says and flies off with the fairies.

"Foxy..." Y/N calls out.

Ban crouches down, "I'm here, Wolfy," she moves over to him and leans into him as he holds her close, "I'm right here," he whispers.

"Thank you..." She closes her eyes and reaches for me, I take hold of her hand and kneel opposite Ban.

"For what?" Ban asks.

"Bringing me home at last... Rebuilding my home... Loving my sister," I glance at Gerheade who smiles at me, sadness shown in her smile, "For protecting her, even now... I wish you all the luck to revive her, Ban... You deserve to be happy and I'm so happy it's with her."

"Come on, being soppy isn't your style, Wolfy," Ban says.

"I'm so tired and worn out... Let me be soppy... Jericho..." Jericho crouches down, "Do you have any more of those berries?" she asks.

"No, I'll get you some," Jericho says and runs off with some fairies.

Y/N looks at me, "When you're strength is back... Shall we return to the others?" I ask.

Y/N glances at Gerheade, "I'll watch over and protect the forest... Oslo will be able to bring you both back if anyone attacks... If the Albion attacked here... You're going to be needed, Y/N... Meliodas will need you by his side," she says.

"Y...Yes... Yes, we'll return to them, brother," she says and closes her eyes as she falls asleep.

"What am I, a bed now?" Ban chuckles as he holds her steady, "Get some rest, Wolfy," he kisses her head, "I'm gonna miss you."

"You care for her," Ban looks at Gerheade, "She cares for you too..." Gerheade smiles, "Thank you for looking after them," she says and glances at me.

"Well, King normally tries to kill me like you did, Y/N and Elaine are the only two who didn't... But... You're welcome," Ban says.

"Prince Harlequinn! We got the supplies!" Ende gasps seeing Y/N waking up, "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you," she says.

"It's okay... I want to watch Harlequinn... I don't remember how to do this... Meliodas always buys me outfits," Y/N chuckles.

"Yeah, in perverted taste," Ban chuckles and I nod and start making the dress from the plants the fairies collected and Y/N watches me with a smile on her face.

Chapter 11: 009

Chapter Text

Y/N's P.O.V.

I spin around in my new (f/c) backless dress, my back is entirely uncovered the material starts just above my hips, and a skirt that covers me to mid thigh with a bow tie on my back as a belt.

Harlequinn looks at me while Oslo opens his mouth wide, "I'm glad you like it, but we need to go," he says, offering me his hand which I take.

"Be careful!" Gerheade calls out to us as we're pulled through his portal.

"Diane!" Harlequinn calls out, I'm assuming he's reached the other side but suddenly we're both yanked out.

"That was close," I hear Meliodas say.

"WAH!" we yell as we crash into Nightshadefol and Chastiefol, "Ouch..."

"Huh? Captain?" Harlequinn says as he stands up and helps me up.

"What, Y/N, King? Don't just show up suddenly from a weird place. Where were you two till now?" Meliodas asks as Elizabeth is helping to walk.

"You know far too well that if Oslo uses a portal we can't control where we pop out from!" Harlequinn tells him.

"We followed Ban to the forest," I tell him as I walk over to him.

"Oh? And how was it?" Meliodas asks.

I smile and nod, "Everyone's okay... But..."

He placed a hand on my cheek, "You miss them already, huh? Cutie," he compliments.

"I contacted Bartra in Liones to see if you were still there but he said you were here so here we are! But why?" I ask.

"We had the Demon Race show up in the city and it was chaos here, ya know?" Hawk answers.

"What? Here too?" I look at Meliodas, "An Albion?" he nods, "We had one too."

"Are you okay?" he asks.

"I am now... Nothing really, special happened," I shrug.

"Nothing special happened?! You were practically screaming three hours ago!" Harlequinn turned me to my side, "Her wings grew some more and a new colour been added."

"Yes, brother, I was going to show him later, but yes. I had some issues with the growth and change... Apparently, they were changing shape as well," I say.

"That's not normal, but oh so pretty wings... Hey! It's green like my eyes!" Meliodas notices.

"By the way where's Diane, Gowther and Merlin?" I ask,  changing the subject.

Harlequinn knocks me into Meliodas suddenly, "Is Diane alright?!" he panics and flies ahead.

"And he's off," I wrap my arms around Meliodas's and Elizabeth's waists then fly ahead, carrying them as Elizabeth grabs Hawk.

"Oh, I've got such a strong wife," Meliodas teases.

"Oh, shut up," I roll my eyes and see Diane curled up with a wet blanket on her forehead as I put them down and steady Meliodas.

"You okay with his weight?" Elizabeth asks.

I smile and nod, "Yeah, I feel a lot better after some Sunlight Drop, thank you, Elizabeth," I tell her.

"You used Sunlight Drop on yourself?" Meliodas asks.

"Well, I was weak after the fight," I reply.

"DIANE!" Harlequinn calls out.

"Nyuh... Who is it?" Diane asks as she wakes up.

"Diane!" Diane sits up, "It's me..." Harlequinn says.

I observe Diane as she sits up slightly, looking at my brother but I feel something off, "Something's not right here..." I mutter.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Meliodas asks.

"Um, who are you?" Diane asks, looking at Harlequinn.

"That," I answer as everyone looks at her shocked.

"Come again?" Harlequinn questions, "Wha... What kind of joke is that? You're going to give me a heart attack! It's me, King!"

"King? You mean, that King?" Diane asks.

"Yeah, I'm that King!" Harlequinn says.

Diane starts laughing and I wince at her reaction, "That's funny! King isn't a little boy like you... He's a round, bearded fairy!"

"That's... Sort of true, but..."

"Diane? Are you still half asleep?" Meliodas asks.

"Oh, Meliodas!" Diane says and we go silent.

"Are you okay, Diane?" Diane looks at me with wide eyes as Meliodas keeps squeezing my breast as he has his arm over my shoulders, "Diane?" I say.

"What the hell are you doing to Meliodas, Y/N!?" she yells at me and I blink my eyes a few times in silence.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk and I go to Merlin and tell her about Diane, I learn that Merlin had been turned to stone by lying to Galand of Truth of The Ten Commandments who also attacked Camelot, she was using her Sacred Treasure Aldan to create an illusion of us to talk to.

"I was so shocked... She doesn't remember me or Hawk, but she can still remember Lady Y/N and Sir Meliodas," Elizabeth says.

"I don't remember the last time she called me Meliodas," he says as he puts on his shirt.

"And King got so pale!" Hawk says.

"Me-Merlin!" Harlequinn barges in, in the other form, "More of her memories are disappearing!"

"Her memories are disappearing?" Merlin questions as we all look at him.

"That's right! She recognised Captain, Y/N and me just moments ago, but... Um, how do I describe it? It looks like her memories are disappearing, starting from her most recent ones..." Harlequinn says.

"Come to think of it, Diane used to call me by my name back when we'd just met..." Meliodas says.

"Merlin... Is this really happening because she took a blow to the head?"

"Fascinating..." Merlin says.

"No! It's not!" Harlequinn grabs my hand, "Sister, please can you try and use Sunlight Drop on her?" he asks.

"I mean... Possibly, yeah, if Merlin thinks it'll help and not make it worse," I say and look at Merlin.

"Well, it's never backfired before... We'll take a look at her," Merlin says.

"P... Please!" Harlequinn says and drags me away from Meliodas, "Come on!"

"Harlequinn, you're going to pull my arm off!" I whine as he hurries back to where he left Diane.

I stand on the ground as the world is spinning around me, "She... She's not here? What do you mean?!" Harlequinn yells.

"I don't really know... She suddenly seemed to remember something and left in a big hurry," the guard says.

"Bu... But where did she go?!" Harlequinn asks.

Meliodas places his hand on my back as I watch Harlequinn worriedly, "It is simple," we all look back at Gowther as he walks in with Slader, "She is obviously headed to where she was before she joined The Eight Deadly Sins of Liones," Gowther says.

"What do you mean? Before she joined The Eight Deadly Sins?" Harlequinn asks.

"Her memories after that point have been erased," Gowther says.

"Her memories... Erased? Did... You..." Harlequinn says and I fly over to him, placing my hands on his shoulders from behind for support.

"I erased them, with Lost World," Gowther answers.

"What do you mean, Gowther?! What did you do to Diane?!" Harlequinn questions.

"I wanted to understand emotions, so I altered the memories of Guila. Diane strongly condemned my action, and she said I lost my precious memories with King, but I got them back and that's because they were etched deep into my heart. Important memories and feelings can't be erased, no matter what," Gowther says.

I glance at Meliodas, "Well, I remembered you," I frown a little at his words as he stretches the back of his neck, "Kinda... My body did," he says.

"Are you trying to help?" I ask.

"Is it working?" he asks.

"Not really, honey... But you're proving Diane's point," I say and look back at Harlequinn.

"Gowther... Just what do you think people's memories are?!" he asks.

"King/Harlequinn!" Meliodas and I scold lightly.

Harlequinn turns back into his usual form and I float behind him with my knees bent a little, "No... I have no right to criticise you, but, at least let me ask you this... What made you feel like erasing her memories?" he asks.

Gowther tilts his head to the side, "Feel? I do not understand your question. Feelings are unnecessary for altering the memories of others, are they not? Right, Y/N?" Gowther asks and looks at me, "Did you consider others when you erased yourself from everyone's mind?"

"Gowther!" Meliodas scolds.

"Unnecessary... Huh..." Harlequinn says and looks to the side.

"Hm? What is it? Why are you angry?" Gowther asks.

"Gowther!" Slader scolds.

Harlequinn smiled sadly at him, "I'm not angry, I'm just so utterly disillusioned about you from the bottom of my heart..." Harlequinn controls Chastiefol-Guardian to punch Gowther into the wall, "Don't toy with people's emotions, my sister did what she felt was best at that moment and I know she did it out of love, and after today, we considered what the reactions would be once memories were returned."

I feel a hand on my waist, I look to see Meliodas has pulled me over his shoulders and he starts running as Harlequinn tries to talk to him, "Stop wasting time, King! Get yourself ready! We're going after Diane right away!" Meliodas says.

"Meliodas! I can fly myself!" I tell him.

"Yes, but I get a lovely view to my side," Meliodas says and I squeal as I quickly hold the back of my dress down over my butt.

"Wait for me, Diane! I'll return your memories, I swear it!" Harlequinn declares.

"So, Meli, do you have any idea where she'd go?" I ask.

"I have an idea of where she's headed," Meliodas says.

"Really, captain?!" Harlequinn asks.

"Well, I am the captain, after all," I pinch his cheek, "Ow, ow, ow, I'll behave!" I release him, "Before Diane joined The Eight Deadly Sins, she was supposedly in her homeland," Meliodas answers.

"Then that means..." I lean up as I wrap my legs around his waist, his hands instantly under my butt as I look at him, "The home of the Giant Race, Megadozer," I say.

"That's right!" Meliodas says.

"Where is that, Captain?" Harlequinn asks.

"I've never been there. Merlin, do you know?" Meliodas asks.

"Yes... It's more than three hundred miles north of here past Edinburgh," Merlin tells us.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

We all are in the tavern as Hawk's Mama starts to travel through Britannia to head to Megadozer, "Wait for us, Diane... We'll find you!" Elizabeth says.

"But three hundred miles sure is a long distance," Meliodas says as he stands beside me as I'm sitting on the bar counter, brushing my fingers through his hair, "If you keep doing that, I could fall asleep standing up," we listen into Merlin talking.

"When it's needed the most?" Harlequinn questions.

"From the ruins of Edinburgh Castle in the direction Diane is headed I sense an immeasurably wicked presence," Merlin says.

"...Yeah," Meliodas says and I pull him in front of me, wrapping my arms around his shoulder, "You're very cuddly."

"Sorry..." I start letting go but he keeps my hands in place, "Huh?"

"I like it," I feel my face heat up, "So... What happened in the forest?" Meliodas asks and I tense up.

"Albion attacked... Err..." I say.

"You tried fighting it alone..." Harlequinn says.

"Yeah... Gave everyone back their memories, I got slapped by Albion, Harlequinn helped, we got slapped by Albion, Gerheade tried to take us away, then I killed it," I list off.

"She burnt it," Harlequinn says.

"A part from its legs... Oh, then I repaired the forest," I add.

"You repaired the forest?" Elizabeth asks.

"Yeah..." I nod.

"How?" Slader asks.

"One of Nightshadefol's forms..." My eyes widen as I feel the presence of three beings along with Diane's, "Meli..." the two of us hurry outside.

"I know. Hawk's Mum! Hold up a sec!" he yells and she abruptly stops.

Hawk runs over to us, "Meliodas? Why the sudden stop, you need to take a dump?!" Hawk asks and Meliodas pinches his arm.

"Captain, let's hurry..." Harlequinn gasps, sensing the presence and looks over to it, "What? What are these three crazy presences I'm feeling from way over there?!" he asks.

"Looks like The Ten Commandments are fighting against... Someone we don't know. On The Ten Commandments' side are Galand and Monspeet. The last one though, I have no idea at all," Meliodas says then suddenly I feel a dark presence zooming in on us and Meliodas pulls me into him as everyone leaves the tavern.

"My... My lady! This immense bloodlust... Could... Could it be..." Slader says.

"Yes, it seems they're aware of our existence now as well," Merlin says.

"He was the last one I wanted us to be noticed by... At least he didn't notice you," Meliodas says and I glance at him confused.

"Who?" I ask in confusion and he tightens his grip on my waist, "Meliodas?" I gasp feeling coming approaching us at rapid speed, "What the hell is that?"

"Captain! A great mass of power is headed our way at a crazy speed! Now is not the time to be hugging my sister!" Harlequinn yells.

"Slader, keep Y/N covered!" Meliodas pushes towards the Holy Knight who grabs my wrist, pulling me behind him before I can protest, "Hawk's Mum! Change directions and move at full speed!" Meliodas orders and the giant pig does as it's told but the power follows the same direction.

"The course of the power shifted?... It's homing in on us!" Slader says.

"Wah! Something's coming this way!" Hawk screeches.

Meliodas grabs the hilt of his sword, his Sacred Treasure Lostvayne, "This must be a magic attack, guessing that I'm here. If I use Full Counter, they'll know exactly where we are and that I'm alive, but we don't have a choice," he says.

Hawk's Mum suddenly speeds up, causing us all to stumble and Slader catches me as I slip, "Oh! Thank you!" I say.

"No problem," he says.

"Hawk's Mum, what's wrong?!" Meliodas asks.

"Mummy! Don't go that way!" Hawk yells and pounces onto Meliodas when suddenly Hawk's Mum opens her mouth and eats the flame bird that was approaching us and we all stare in shock.

"D...Did that just happen?" I ask and fly over to Meliodas.

"It did..." Harlequinn says.

"Whoa! That was amazing Hawk's Mum! I can't believe you swallowed that incredible magic in one gulp!" Meliodas compliments.

"That wasn't amazing... That was ridiculous!" Harlequinn replies.

"Hawk's Mum, is your stomach okay?" Elizabeth asks.

"I've never seen anyone eat magic before..." I say as I pet Hawk's mum's head.

"But don't you absorb it... Is it really that different?" Meliodas asks as he tilts his head.

"I absorb normal elemental magic, not demon kind," I answer.

"Captain... I propose an alternative destination," Merlin suggests.

"Wait, Merlin! That's not what we decided! If you don't want to look for Diane, I'll go look for her my-" Harlequinn begins saying.

"Enough, Harlequinn," I speak up.

"But Y/N!"

"No, buts... Merlin, why do you suggest that?" I ask.

"Well, Diane's presence disappeared along with the powerful presence that could face The Ten Commandments on equal footing, and on top of that, it was just a moment before The Ten Commandments made an attack. They're both most likely safe. However, if we carelessly approach the scene, we will only put Diane in more danger," Merlin says.

Harlequinn goes silent and I hug him from behind, causing him to look at me in surprise, "See? We'll save Diane! All of us, together," I tell him.

"Y/N..." Harlequinn says.

"Besides the presence that was fighting The Ten Commandments, all I felt was that they wanted to protect someone, I'm assuming Diane... So, I'm going to believe she's in good hands... If I sense anything that changes, I will let you know immediately, okay?"

"Promise?" he asks.

I press my cheek against him as he grabs my arms, both of us closing our eyes, "I promise."

"So Merlin, you already know where you want to go, right?" Meliodas asks.

"We must make strength ourselves our priority to fight The Ten Commandments... Therefore, we first need to..." Merlin says.

"Fill our stomachs," Hawk inputs but easily gets ignored.

"We'll get Captain's strength back and see exactly what Y/N's new form means," Merlin says and Meliodas and I glance at each other.

"What does that mean?" Hawk asks.

"I am speaking of Captain's power that I took ten years ago, as we escaped the kingdom... And with Y/N, when the ruler of the Fairy Race's appearance changes, even in the slightest their total power level rises, she needs to practice before being put into battle," Merlin says as Meliodas and I hold hands, intertwining our fingers.

"So, where is it now?" Meliodas asks.

"You see... The location isn't far from here... The Sacred Land of the Druids the Philosophers of the Forest, Istar," Merlin answers.

Y/N's P.O.V.

I sit at a table in the tavern and Elizabeth sits beside me, "Lady Y/N?" I hum as I stare ahead, "Is everything okay? You've been staring off into space since Merlin mentioned about..." Elizabeth says.

I look at her and smile softly, "I'm fine, Elizabeth. I was just thinking. I don't feel any different, but... Who's to say I'm not?" I reply.

"Y/N?" I turn to see Meliodas smiling at us, "We're here, ready to head down, you two?" he asks.

"Yeah, let's go," I say and we walk outside, I fly down towards Harlequinn as Meliodas helps Elizabeth off Hawk's Mum.

Meliodas releases Elizabeth's hand, "You got your balance?" he asks.

"Yes, thank you," she smiles and we all look at the different formations of rocks as I fly beside Harlequinn, "So this is the Sacred Land of the Druids, The Philosophers of the Forest?" Elizabeth says.

"Yeah, how long has it been, a little over ten years?" Meliodas questions.

"Sir Meliodas, you're acquainted with the druids?" Elizabeth asks.

"A little bit, because of a mission as The Eight Deadly Sins," he answers.

"But everywhere I look, I just see rocks... I don't see any people at all..." Elizabeth says.

"Just keep walking forward, Elizabeth," I smile and look over at Meliiodas who winks at me, "What is it?"

"Just letting you know that I'm right here," he jogs over to me and pulls me closer to him, "Do you feel any different?" he asks.

"My back no longer feels heavy, if that's what you mean?" I tilt my head as my hands rest on his shoulders, he carries me and my face heats up.

Meliodas brings my body closer to his, as the soothing warmth from his hand is placed on my back, easing the aching pain. He rests his forehead against mine and smiles softly at me, "You are just so adorable... My Adorable Wolf. I love how this makes you shy but we both know we've done worse in our room," he whispers.

"In private, this is public... There's a difference," I reply.

"Oh? The entrance is open already?" Meliodas questions and I look behind me as he releases me, so I begin to fly beside him to see the druids home.

"Oh? The entrance is open already?" Meliodas questions and I look behind me as he releases me, so I begin to fly beside him to see the druids home

"It really is peaceful here..." I take a deep breath, "Please don't encourage her," I say, looking at Meliodas.

Meliodas places his hands behind his head, "Have I ever?" he asks.

"We've been expecting you for a while now!" A female voice calls out and look all look over to two two girls, Jenna and Zaneri with a tall muscular man, Theo, "It's been a long time," Jenna says.

"Eight Deadly Sins," Zaneri finishes.

"Who are they?" Slader asks.

"Heads of the Druids," Harlequinn asks.

Hawks run ahead, assuming who the head of the druids is, but Jenna ends up sticking her staff into his nose, informing him that she's a chief, along with Zaneri.

The man smiles softly at us, "I'm Priest Theo! I protect the chiefs!" Theo says in a soft, childlike voice.

"What?! How old are you?!" Hawk asks.

"Yo, Theo! You've gotta so big!" Meliodas says and holds me still.

"Yep! I am fifteen years old after all, Mr Meliodas," Theo answers.

Jenna is pulling at Hawk's ears as she laughs and he screeches, "This pig is so funny!" she laughs.

"Why you! Don't underestimate me!" Hawk yells.

"You two really need to get out more," I comment lighting.

"Ah, Lady Y/N!" Jenna looks at me and smiles, "I hear three loads of congratulations are in order," I frown in confusion, "You're back together with Meliodas and his memories, your kingdom is alive with their memories, and your wings have developed further! I'm so proud of you!" Jenna gushes.

I feel my face heat up and look down as my hair covers my face, "Thank you..." she says softly.

"Aww! You're getting more embarrassed again, that's so sweet!" Jenna says.

I feel eyes on me and look over to see Zaneri looking at me, I smile at her softly and politely but she looks away. Meliodas walks over to Zaneri, "Yo, Zaneri! We're both a couple of shrimps, huh?" he smiles.

Zaneri takes hold of Meliodas's hand and places it over her breast, "Meliodas, I'm so glad to see you again," she says as she blushes slightly.

I sit on Nightshadefol, needing the pillow to distract myself, I don't want to be making a scene. I feel someone's hands be placed over mine and I look up to see Elizabeth, smiling softly at me, "You okay?" she asks softly.

I blink a few times and smile softly, I hadn't noticed since the fight with Hendrickson, that Elizabeth's love and attraction to Meliodas has faded, "Do you still love him?" I ask quietly.

Elizabeth blinks a few times, "I don't know... It's a strange feeling, but he's your husband and you're my friend now, which makes me really, really, happy," Elizabeth says.

"Yeah... It makes me happy too," I smile and we hug each other.

"Aww, look at you two!" Elizabeth and I look to see Meliodas has pulled his hand from Zaneri and he looks back at the druids, "The reason we're here today is-" he begins to say.

Jenna picks Hawk up and holds him as he tries to get out of her grasp, "We already know why you came to The Sacred Land!"

"Then it's simple, as expected of the druids, you're of great help," Merlin says.

"By the way, Merlin. Are the ones standing over there with you as well?" Jenna asks and I look over my shoulder to see Arthur and Gowther holding back.

"Yes," Merlin answers.

Zaneri looks towards Meliodas and I, "Well then, Meliodas, Y/N, follow me to the tower to my right," Zaneri looks at Elizabeth, "And, you too," Zaneri says.

"Me? Ye...Yes," Elizabeth says.

"Why do I need to go?" I ask.

"We need to establish, if you're going to be okay with your increase of power," Merlin answers.

"Ah, right, okay!" I look back at Harlequinn, "Alright then, see ya and behave," I point at Harlequinn.

"Uh, yeah... I always behave!" he replies as we walk away.

We follow Zaneri into the tower to her right, when we walk inside it's pitch black, "My strength is in here?" Melidoas asks.

"It's so dark..." Elizabeth says.

"...Yes. Meliodas, you will now be put through a trial. Whether we return your strength or not will depend on the results," Zaneri explains.

"What?" Elizabeth and I say.

"Hmm, so in other words, I have to pass whatever this trial is, right?" he asks.

"It will be excruciatingly painful. I worry whether you'll be able to endure it," Zaneri says.

Meliodas bumps his fist against his hand, "If you say that, it'll only make me more pumped up! I'll take whatever trials you throw at me!" he declares.

"Very well. Y/N, you will also be put through a trial of truth, remembrance and betrayal. As much as many people would want you not to remember this... It is vital for your victory," Zaneri says.

"Remember what?" I ask.

"Zaneri, what the hell are you doing?!" Meliodas asks.

"What is she talking about Meliodas?" I ask.

"You've already started to notice mistakes he's been saying, haven't you?" Meliodas and I look at Zaneri, "Dates and ages not matching..." Zaneri says.

"Zaneri!" he snaps.

"I got my wings when I was 100," Zaneri nods, "I met Meliodas when I was..." Meliodas glances at me, "200... Or was I 90?" I hold my head as I scrunch up my face, "I see him in a green outfit but I know I haven't seen him in it... I don't understand what's going on with me..." I say.

"It'll all make sense. Forgive Meliodas, but it is the only way for you to win," Zaneri raises a hand, "Dolchimot, hekatkohbe, omnorea, kiet..."

A bright light surrounds both Meliodas and I, "What is this light?" Meliodas asks.

I squeal and reach out from Meliodas who grabs my hand and I close my hand, "Meliodas!" i call out before I close my eyes, feeling my body being sucked away from the tower.

Y/N's P.O.V. - Trial Memory

The bright light that surrounded me disappears and I open my eyes to see luscious gigantic flowers and trees, ahead I see the original Sacred Tree. I look around to see that both Meliodas, Elizabeth and Zaneri are gone, "What the hell was that?" I ask.

"Y/N!" I look to see a fairy flying over to me, looks like Gerheade but she doesn't have an eye covered, she has both of her legs, "Did you fall asleep again?" Gerheade asks.

"G...Gerheade?" Gerheade smiles softly, "What happened?" I ask.

"Well, brother is looking for you, he wants you to meet his friends," Gerheade says.

"His friends?" my eyes widen as I feel a dark intense bloodlust cover the entire forest briefly, "W...What was that?" I feel my body shaking and I hug myself, "W...Why am I so scared?" I ask.

Gerheade smiles softly as she flies over to me, wrapping her arms around me and picking me up, my eyes widen and I look at myself to see I'm slightly smaller, almost childlike, "Let's go see your Daddy, okay?" Gerheade says and flies off, carrying me.

My eyes widen as I look over my shoulder to see my wings weren't gold and silver, but multiple colours with gold shining through and a quarter of the size they normally are, "W...What's happening?" I ask.

"Don't you remember? It's the start of the Holy War, Gloxinia is talking about a Demon and Goddess about the next steps... Honestly, sweetheart, didn't you listen to him last night? He warned you," Gerheade says as she lands with Sacred Tree.

"There you two are!" I turn to see Gloxinia walking over to us and he takes me from Gerheade and carries me, "What's wrong? Are you scared? You're shaking," he says.

"I...I don't know," I answer.

"She panicked when he arrived," Gerheade answers.

"Y/N... You know I'm going to protect you, right? Come on, it's Christmas and they've never celebrated before I thought I could bring them," Gloxinia said.

"It's Christmas?" I question, tilting my head.

"Y/N, come on sweetie it's Christmas Day!" Gerheade says.

"Y/N, come on, it's okay," Gloxinia says.

"But that power... It's a demon, right?" I question.

"Come on, he's a friend... I'll protect you, I always have done," Gloxinia says.

"Why is a demon here?" I ask.

"Well, he wants what we do... So does his friend, to stop The Holy War before it starts," Gloxinia answers.

"The Holy War?" I question.

"Yeah, trust your Dad, okay?" my eyes open wide as he puts me down and offers me his hand, "Y/N?"

This is what I forgot? I'm the daughter of Gloxinia, the First Fairy King. Impossible... What else have I forgotten?

I hesitantly take hold of his hand, "Okay," I say and we fly together through the Sacred Tree to see Meliodas dressed in a green out, Elizabeth with Goddess wings and a large giant with four arms.

"Here we are," Gloxinia says and the three figures turn around.

Elizabeth's eyes land on me and she smiles softly, "Who's this Gloxinia?" Elizabeth asks.

"This is my daughter, Y/N... Y/N say hi," he says.

"H...Hi..." I stutter.

"Y/N... Come here, I've got a present for you," Drole smiles.

I look at Gloxinia who smiles and kisses my head, "You remember your Uncle Drole, right? I know it's been a few weeks since you last saw him, but he hasn't changed," Gloxinia chuckles, "Go on."

I hesitantly fly over to Drole and he holds his hand out, as I land in it, to see a box, "I hope you like it... Gerheade made it from my design," Drole says.

I place my hands on Drole's hand and look down at Gloxinia who's smiling up at me, "You're really clingy today, sweetheart... It's okay, you can open it," he tells me.

"I think she's a little nervous about Meliodas and Elizabeth," Gerheade says.

"Yeah," Gloxinia glances at me as I move back to the present, "Sorry about her, she's a little nervous about you two... With the upcoming war," I hear Gloxinia say.

I lift open the lid and see a dress folded up, I pull it to see that it was my favourite light blue dress that got ruined when I was in Baste Prison, "This dress..." I whisper and tear up.

"Wah! Why are you crying? What's wrong?" Drole asks worriedly.

"I...It's nothing... Th...Thank you Dro...Uncle Drole," I say.

"You're welcome," Drole smiles as he puts me down, while I put the dress back in the box.

As the day goes by, I try not to appear out of place, but I have no memory of this, which I know is the point. I spent the day beside Gerheade, who I now know is my aunt and the only mother I've ever had, both this is life and the one I remember. We had dinner, spoke, laughed and danced with other fairies.

I'm standing on a branch looking at the forest and I sense someone sitting beside me, "Feeling more comfortable with us, now?" I flinch and look at the love of my life, there's about how he is in this memory that scares me, the power is different, "Sorry, did I startle you?" he smiles.

"No one startles me... I know when someone is trying to sneak up on me, no matter what they are," I answer and look at the fairies dancing and I smile, "I've missed this..."

"Huh? What do you mean?" I blink realising I thought out loud and I start flying off, "Hey! Wait!" Meliodas flies after me.

"Stop following me!" I yell as I speed up, flying past other fairies, making them lose their balance.

I need space to think. I can't think when he's around me!

I stop on a branch and look over my shoulder to see Meliodas has stopped on a branch nearby, looking at me with a soft smile. I keep trying to escape his chase but he's able to keep up with me, he keeps his distance.

I quickly turn a corner and sneak back onto the balcony where I sleep, taking a deep breath, "I think I finally lost him," I sigh and lean on my balcony.

Suddenly, arms wrap around me from behind and my eyes widen as I feel hot breath against my ear, "Caught you," Meliodas says and I squeal, jumping out of his arms, blushing brightly as I look at him in surprise while he chuckles at my reaction, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you."

"How...How did you do that?!" I ask and he looks at me confused.

"Y/N!?" Gloxinia and Gerheade fly into my room and see us.

"What's going on?!" Gloxinia asks.

"Sorry, we were playing chase and I snuck up on her," Meliodas chuckles softly and Gloxinia sighs.

"But no one can sneak up on me! No one can hide their heart from me!" I say.

"Y/N, even you can slip up," Gloxinia say.

I look at him annoyed, "Oh, really? But, I really can't!" I say and jump over the balcony and fly off again, to try and calm down.

It's like the next few months go by normally, slowly I forget I'm in a trial by Zaneri, and my body grows back to its normal size. Not even being nearly killed by the human named Rou that Meliodas, Elizabeth, Gloxinia and Drole picked up after one mission can change my mind.

Meliodas pulls me into his arms, "Gloxinia!" he calls out and he looks down at me and Gerheade, "Hold on, you two... Elizabeth!"

"Oh my gosh!" Elizabeth gasps.

"Please, Elizabeth... Heal them," Meliodas pleads, I've never heard him beg for my life before.

I feel my body being healed and heat coming from Elizabeth's magic as I open my eyes, "Meliodas?" he sighs in relief and pulls me closer into his arm but I pull myself from him as I try to stand up, "Where's Gl...Dad?" I ask.

Meliodas holds me steady, "Don't worry about him right now... How do you feel?" he asks.

"I don't know..." I look over my shoulder to him but I notice my wings are discarded on the floor, "M...My wings... How am I?" I ask as I start shaking and tears fall from my eyes.

"I healed you..." Elizabeth says.

"Why?! Why did you heal me? What about everyone else?!" I ask.

"Y/N, please..." Meliodas says.

"No! Everyone should've been healed! It's your race's fault for this! You both massacred everyone!" I yell I don't feel that way but I can't let it slide, my aunt is unconscious and yes, I know she ends up being okay but if it wasn't for their friendship she'd be happier.

Meliodas places his hands on my are, "Y/N please! You need to calm down! They'll hear you!" he whisper-yells are me.

"I don't care!" I shove him away from him, "Dad's gone, who else have I got?!" I ask.

"Me! You have me!" Meliodas says.

"Twice! I lost my forest because of you twice! I always wondered why I thought three times but now it makes sense... You are the reason this all happened! You toy with me and allow my people, the giants and humans to be collateral damage in your fucking parents, stupid ass, pathetic war and I'm sick of it!" Meliodas doesn't look angry at my words he just pulls me into him, "Let go of me!" I scream, trying to get out of his hold but he keeps me close, as I hear his seven hearts beating, I burst into tears, unable to stop.

"I won't leave you, I promise... I'll never leave you alone," he promises.

Meliodas's P.O.V. - Tower of Trials

I was placed through a trial of watching Liz, another version of my best friend, be murdered again and again and again in Danafol, sixteen years ago. I don't know how many times I've been forced to witness it over and over again.

Sixteen years ago, I forgot why I let my wrath consume me that day, but I finally realised, Y/N would always keep me grounded, without her around I have nothing. I need to show I can cope without her, if she remembers if she starts to hate me, I need to be ready. I need to be ready to cope without her until I regain her trust, but am I ready to lose her again? I need to control my wrath. I need to control my wrath. I need my Y/N!

I open my eyes and see Elizabeth, Princess Elizabeth of Liones, standing in front of me with tears falling from her eyes, "Yo, I'm back!" I wave.

"Meliodas?!" Zaneri says.

"Elizabeth, why are you crying?" I ask.

Elizabeth wipes away her tears, "This is... When I saw you crying, Sir Meliodas, I... And when I heard Y/N screaming..." she says.

I look at Y/N who's still in her trial, her jaw and fists clenched and I wipe away my tears, "What is this crying you speak of" I ask as I look at her blankly.

"Meliodas... If you passed the trial, then... Were you really able to throw away your emotions?" Zaneri asks in a slight panic.

"What are you talking about, Zaneri?" I point to my chest and grin, "What's most important is right here!" Zaneri stammers out a response, "We can talk about that later. I passed my trial and everything, so I'll be taking my strength back when Y/N wakes up... What the hell have you put her through?" I ask as I glare at her.

"She's being shown the truth, that includes yours," Zaneri tells me.

"ARGHH! Meliodas! Ellie!" Y/N screams and we look at her in concern.

Y/N's P.O.V. - Trial Memory

The three of us face off against two gigantic figures, I quickly learn it's The Demon King and The Supreme Deity, "Meliodas!" I run over to Meliodas lying lifeless on the ground beside Elizabeth, "Ellie! Wake up!" I call out.

"The Fairy Princess," I look at the figures and gulp, "We have cursed our children, the curse of eternal life and the curse of reincarnation... What should you get?" A deep booming voice questions, The Demon King.

I gasp and start levitating then try to fly off, but I'm caught in a bright white light, I close my eyes as I scream, "For your Sin of betraying the Fairy Race and turning you back on Stigma, we curse you with eternal life," a booming female voice, The Supreme Deity, says.

"Every time you come back to life, you will forget more and more about your love until he is nothing but a stranger to you and so you will betray your love," The Demon King adds and I scream before I collapse on the floor, feeling cold.

It isn't long before I start to feel warm, a warm wind brushes passed me, "Y/N? Fairy Queen Y/N, please open your eyes," I do as I'm told and I see I'm in a dark place but the Sacred Tree shining in front of me, "I see you remember... Remember what happened to you 3000 years ago," a voice speaks.

My eyes widen, "I...It was the truth? The truth about me... Betrayal of my father... He... He... What happened to him?!" I ask.

"He joined The Ten Commandments out of rage... Now... Are you ready to learn the rest? 3000 years of memories, are you ready for it all? For the test, I put you through to see if you were what we needed after King Dahlia?"

"Why did you make me forget?! I never used to forget!" I ask.

"Why? Because you needed to become your true self."

"My true self?"

"Yes... Who you are now, is just the middle of your story. There is more. Having you remember everything as you did to begin with after you got over the trauma of being killed by The Supreme Deity and The Demon King, stopped your destiny and I was not going to allow that. So I did what any good creator would do, I protected you, altered their curse on you... Instead of forgetting Meliodas, as I know you both well to know that wouldn't stop either of you, I changed it to forgetting what you fear to forget."

"How is that any better?!"

"As much as I hate it, Meliodas helps you be your true self... Now, I'll ask you again... Are you ready to remember everything again you would've remembered until the curse was activated? I'm sorry... I cannot revive those memories, you will have to wait until Elizabeth remembers once again."

"I...I'm ready," I nod.

"I see still it in you... The determination to protect those you call family and to love with all your heart... Brace yourself."

Meliodas's P.O.V. - Tower of Trials

I watch as Y/N starts floating off the ground and multiple lights glow from her wings, "What the hell is happening, Zaneri?!" I ask.

"I don't know, it's not the trial!" Zaneria gasps, "The Sacred Tree... It's getting involved!" she says worriedly, "If it pushes her too far, she'll be weak!"

"Then what do we do?" Elizabeth asks.

"We have to wait, we can't bring her out of this trial, it's beyond us," Zaneri says.

"The Sacred Tree?" I ask.

"Yes, it got involved after realising what those two did, that it would've ruined her destiny," Zaneri answers.

Y/N's P.O.V. - Trial Memory

The Sacred Tree forces memories to unlock within my mind, I see and remember everything. Being the third fairy born after Gloxinia, my father. Meeting Drole, Meliodas and Elizabeth. Losing Dad, Drole and Elizabeth. Reuniting with Meliodas when we both woke up from being killed, knowing I had forgotten my memories of meeting Meliodas due to the trauma. I remember how in my second life I fell in love with him, properly and he returned me to the Fairy Forest, where I was crowd as the Queen.

I remember how Meliodas left and returned and left and returned to the forest, I believe now it has to do with Elizabeth and meeting her reincarnations. Once, the Fairy Forest wanted to test me, to see if I'd pick them or Meliodas, and this is something I wasn't ready to see or hear. The forest refused Meliodas entrance, and put me to sleep for years, seeing where my loyalties lay, for those I loved was what the forest learnt and that included Meliodas - But something still felt missing in my memories.

When I awoke, I was still as the Fairy Queen and Meliodas returned, he quickly learnt I had no memory of him or Gloxinia and Drole, I also had my wings the gold and silver wings. I had passed the test and that gifted with wings once again. Stephan and Gerheade showed me that Meliodas meant no harm, and once again, we fell in love. I was shown the births of Harlequinn and Elaine were gifted to me as my siblings, to replace the father and aunt I had lost, and I'm assuming the forest and Sacred Tree believed I wasn't ready to remember that betrayal, even though I'm not sure how I'd react to it.

I remember my marriage to Meliodas when my siblings were children, placing the fairy wings mate bond on his chest and, his royal demonic crest on my hip, which I keep hidden in case of misunderstanding. It's just a representation of his, not a real demon mark.

What I remembered to be an attack from Zeldris, Meliodas's brother, even when they were sealed away, was a reformed memory by The Sacred Tree, it was an attack from a lone Grey Demon, nothing more.

"Meliodas?!" I call out as I fly around the castle, "Harlequinn! Elaine!" I shout louder.

What I believed to be the demon race, was shifted to a Grey Demon who had caught wind of my and Meliodas's relationship after it saw his mate bond mark.

I see my younger siblings in Meliodas's arms in the sky, facing a demon who looks the sipping image of him but with black hair, who shifted into a Grey Demon. I fly to him, "Meliodas, Elaine, Harlequinn!" I call out and my siblings are released from Meliodas then fly straight into my arms.

"Y/N, to hide with you Kingdom... I'll get rid of them," Meliodas says and looks at me, "I love you Fairy Queen."

My eyes widened, so even everyone in the forest was being tested from being around Meliodas to see where their loyalties lay as well.

I release the prince and princess sending them off to Gerheade. I go to Meliodas and place my hand over the bonded mark, "Forgive me," I whisper looking my love in the eyes and glancing at my siblings, "Protect them Gerheade, you hear me?"

"Yes, my Queen," she lowers her head.

"Y/N?" Meliodas questions, "Don't you dare."

I look at him and see his face, showing how heartbroken he is, "I'm sorry my love... I dare," I say as tears fall down my cheeks. I lean in and kiss him gently before my wings glow gold. I close my eyes as the glow surrounds the Fairy Forest, "Forget about me, forget about your mate," I glance towards the fairies who are cowering, "Forget about your Queen," I glance towards Harlequinn and Elaine who hide with Gerheade, "And forget about your elder sister," I say and open my eyes to see Meliodas and the Grey Demon are gone.

I look around the forest and everyone carrying on as if nothing happened. Gerheade flies to me, now it truly makes sense why she remembers, and taught me that magic for the worst-case scenario, "My Queen, it worked. I promise to protect the new Fairy King and young Lady Elaine until your return. Remember, your healing can bring back memories as well as the healing of a Goddess," Gerheade says, "Your secret is safe with me."

"Thank you, Gerheade," I say and fly away from the Fairy Forest.

Meliodas's P.O.V. - Tower of Trials

Y/N has finally stopped screaming a muttering to herself, her breathing is heavy but calm as she floats back to the ground but her wings are still shining brightly. I watch as she opens her eyes, "Y/N?!" I rush over and take hold of her hand, placing my other on her cheek as Elizabeth hurries to us, "Are you okay? What happened?" I ask.

"I remember..." she whispers and she looks at me, "I remember everything... You, our best friend, my dad, my aunt, the spell, my... Uncle... Our lives together," she smiles softly and places her hand on my cheek as she presses her forehead to mine, "The test I was put under to prove who I would stand by, losing you, loving you, losing you again, loving you again... I remember... Everything."

"B...But.." I stutter as my seven hearts race, if she remembers, Elizabeth isn't going to be far behind and then I'll lose them both, I can't lose her.

"It's going to be okay because I will always fall in love with you... We're going to be okay, this is what I promise you," she whispers.

"I suggest, Meliodas, you go train so your body is ready to take back your strength," Y/N and I look at Zaneri, "Y/N, you need to rest, your wings are still trying to take form from your memories returning. Elizabeth, you still need to finish your trial," Zaneri tells us.

Y/N looks over at Elizabeth, "Are you going to be okay?" she asks.

"Yes! Get some rest, you look tired," Elizabeth smiles.

"Okay," Y/N says and we leave them.

Chapter 14: 012

Chapter Text

Meliodas's P.O.V.

I walk beside Y/N who is walking and looking ahead "Are you okay?" I ask.

"I'm okay... I understand why you didn't want me to remember but..." she takes hold of my hands, making me look at her, "I deserved to know who my family is and now... I just feel awful for Ellie... With how I was to her when I first met her... This time," Y/N says and looks down sadly.

"But you two are okay now, right?" she nods, "And if you remember everything, then you will remember that the very first time, you really did not like Elizabeth because of your jealousy," I smile.

"I was not jealous!"

"You were," she folds her arms over her chest and looks away, blushing, "But, when you and I spent more time together, I fell in love with you, yeah, you were a lot younger than me but you were mature, you were kind and caring-"

"Saying I'm not now?"

I smile and bring one of her hands up to my lips, kissing her knuckles, "You still are... I fell hopelessly in love with you, the months we spent together I fell harder and harder in love with you... When you returned those feelings I was over the moon and even Ellie noticed and she was happy, because she loved another, remember?"

She nods, "Yeah, I remember... Come on... I need to rest, my back aches," she says and we walk towards the Cave of Training.

"How much of 'everything' do you remember?" I ask.

"Just what I would've remembered when I woke up last time... Sacred Tree wanted to protect me or something, I don't understand," she shrugs.

We walk together, up to Hendrickson who is no longer under the control of a demon, "We heard... That you saved Little Gil, Howzer and Stephan," I say.

"You have our thanks... Hendy," Y/N says.

Hendrickson turns to us as he cries, "Of course!" he says.

"Aww! So cute!" Y/N gushes and launches at Hendrickson hugging him, "Aww!"

"I thought your back was aching?" I question with a smile.

Y/N looks at me instantly, "Yes, it is, owwie," she says with a pout and I laugh.

"You need to rest... Hendrickson, can you make sure she does, please?" I ask.

"Of course," Hendrickson says.

"Girly!" Stephan flies over instantly, I get in the way and stop him by grabbing his head, "Huh? Meli! You're here too?!" he asks in his small human form, with the blue hair that covers his eyes.

"Yeah... She needs to rest, Stephan... She remembered, everything," I tell him.

Stephan's surrounded in smoke as he turns into his usual fairy form, with the red hair and fairy wings, "Everything?" he asks.

"Aw, you're no longer Baby Blue," Y/N says and I bite the inside of my mouth, trying not to laugh as Stephan glares at me.

"Baby Blue?" Hendrickson questions.

"Stop calling me that!" Stephan scolds me as he shoves me to the side, kneeling in front of Y/N, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah... Just tired and my back aches... But Zaneri says I need to rest and my wings will take their right form soon," Nightshadefol flies over, "Right on schedule!" Y/N flops down onto it and lays between Stephan and Hendrickson, "I'm gonna rest here."

I smile and walk over to her, before kneeling by her and kissing her head, "I'll be back as soon as I okay?" I say.

"Yeah... Go get stronger, I'm gonna nap," Y/N says and closes her eyes.

Y/N's P.O.V.

As I try to rest and possibly even try to fall asleep to help my wings adjust when I start hearing Jenna and Gilthunder yelling about Meliodas and Harlequinn fighting against each other in the training, "Hendy... Please go have a look at what my boys are doing, I can't relax," I whisper.

"O...Of course," Hendrickson says and I hear footsteps getting further away.

"Is everything okay?" Howzer asks.

"Lady Y/N is needing to relax and having people yelling isn't helping... Lady Jenna, what's going on?" Hendrickson asks.

"They just started fighting each other... I'm sorry Y/N..." I hear Jenna take a deep breath and I pull my Nightshadefol over my ears, "That's quite enough! Come out, both of you!" Jenna yells.

Stephan places his hand on mine, "I'll get to the bottom of it..." he says.

"It's because Meliodas is a demon... I'm not stupid. I hid it from them when they were children, but I should've known it would backfire on me... I should've been honest, but I know Meliodas didn't want anyone to know who wasn't there 3000 years ago," I whisper.

"Hey... It's going to be okay, I'm with you," Stephan says.

"You're always with me," I smile.

Stephan chuckles, "It's what childhood friends are for. I annoyed you from childhood, and now we're ancient, I'm still going to do it," he says.

"You fools! Why were you fighting?!" Jenna asked.

"We got really passionate about what's better, tits or asses! Right?" Meliodas says.

"You dumbass," I sigh.

"Oh, haven't you rested?" Meliodas asks.

I sit up with the help of Stephan and glare at them, "How could I?! Two of my favourite boys are fighting against each other, and everyone is bloody shouting! How the hell am I supposed to right?!" I snap.

Meliodas looks at me sheepishly, "Uh, sorry..." he says.

I curl up on Nightshadefol as it floats us closer, "Y/N? What's going on?" Harlequinn asks.

"Her wings are developing, they need to find the correct form, but as she said... She needs to rest," Stephan says as he flies beside her.

"Oh... Sorry..." Harlequinn looks around, then grabs his discarded jacket then drapes it over me, "Here..."

"Thanks... Your back hurting?" I ask.

"H...How?"

"So proud of you," I smile.

"We'll stay right beside you..." I hear Stephan say as I drift off to sleep.

My eyes flutter open and I register I'm back in mine and Meliodas's room in the Boar Hat tavern, "Hey!" I turn my head to see Meliodas laying beside me with his usual bright smile looking at me, "You're awake at last! How do you feel?" he asks

My eyes flutter open and I register I'm back in mine and Meliodas's room in the Boar Hat tavern, "Hey!" I turn my head to see Meliodas laying beside me with his usual bright smile looking at me, "You're awake at last! How do you feel?" he asks.

"Hungry," I admit.

"Well, then... Let's go get you something to eat!" he jumps off the bed and hurries around the bed, before helping me out of the bed, "Wow..." he stares over my shoulder.

"What is it?" I gulp, "Are they ruined because I was stressed out?" I worry.

He shakes his head with a soft smile, "Take a look in the mirror," he tells me.

I walk over to the mirror to see that my once gold and silver wings four wings, had changed to eight wings, transparent, with different colours on the lining, I notice the two brightest colours are gold and green.

I walk over to the mirror to see that my once gold and silver wings four wings, had changed to eight wings, transparent, with different colours on the lining, I notice the two brightest colours are gold and green

I gasp as I flutter my wings and the transparent parts suddenly change to different colours, "Beautiful," Meliodas compliments.

I turn around and fly over to him, "What about you? It is all back?" I ask.

"It's all here, still adjusting as it grows, but I'm good... Come on, you need food," he says and takes hold of my hand as we head downstairs.

"Oh! Look who's up and about!" Howzer says with a smile.

"I'll go let Prince Harlequinn know," Stephan says and leaves the tavern.

"Hi, Lady Y/N, how are you feeling?" Elizabeth asks.

"Much better, thank you," I smile and notice that the guys are wearing white shirts, black waistcoats and ties, Meliodas's old outfit.

"She's hungry... Hendrickson, can you make her a salad?" Meliodas asks as he walks over to the bar.

"Oh, Lady Y/N, you're wings are beautiful," Elizabeth says.

"Oh, thank you," I smile.

Harlequinn flies in suddenly and hugs me tightly, "Sister!" I return the hug then he pulls away, "Oslo's been summoned," his heart says.

"What?" I reply with my heart.

"Helbram's told me that someone is bringing the dead back to life and Oslo went weird and disappeared! Sister, I need you to come with me, I don't know if I'm right about this, but it might be..." his heart says and I nod.

"You two do know I can hear this conversation right?" we look at Stephan who's rubbing the back of his neck, "And you two look weird, staring at each other like that..." he says.

"What's going on?" Meliodas asks.

Harlequinn and I look at him, "We're going to move separately," he says.

"You're going to move separately? Are you going to look for Diane? You going with him Y/N?" Meliodas asks.

"That's one of the reasons... But there's something else, we absolutely have to go," Harlequinn says.

"Then we'll come with-" Meliodas says.

"This doesn't concern you," I interrupt him and sigh, "You have your own family drama, Meli... We've got ours... You can feel it too, can't you?" Meliodas goes silent, "So can you Stephan... Nature's stirring, and not in a good way and I don't like it," I answer.

"Y/N... You just woke up and you haven't eaten," Meliodas says.

"I'll get something on the way... This is fairy business, Meli... And yes, you are my husband but you can't help with this," I say.

"Do I need to come?" Stephan asks.

"Your choice," I answer.

"Come on, you two... We're family, right?" Meliodas says and my heart breaks, seeing how much he wants to help us.

"Didn't I tell you? I don't trust you... I only want my sister with me on this," Harlequinn tells them as he looks away.

"Well, well, well, that's a problem," Meliodas sighs.

"King! How can you say that?! You can't force Y/N to leave with you!" Gilthunder shouts, "What happened in the Land of Druids?! What part of Meliodas can you not trust?!"

"Everything. I can't believe you guys actually trust him. Someone whose true identity is unknown... Someone who refuses to tell us who he really is... Someone who marries someone and lies to her about it," I cringe at his words, knowing that I know exactly who my husband is.

"I'm the same... I don't know who my real parents are or who I even am... But Sir Meliodas, Lady Y/N and Sir King, you've all helped me," Harlequinn turns away from them, "Sir King!" Elizabeth says.

"Sorry... I have to go... I'll wait outside for you, sister," Harlequinn says and flies out.

I stand in front of Meliodas and Elizabeth before pulling them both into a hug, "I'm sorry, this is all my fault," I say.

"No it's not," Meliodas places his hands on my cheeks, "I asked you to be careful with the truth and you were. Go, your brother needs you more than I do right now. One of us needs to be a good older sibling right?" he says.

I nod, "Okay, be careful," I say as we place our foreheads together.

"You too," we kiss softly, "Give us a holler if something happens, and we'll go to you two right away," Meliodas says.

"Will do," I say.

Stephan walks out with a pouch, "I'll come with you," he says.

"You sure?" I ask.

"Yeah, as you said... It's fairy business," he looks at Elizabeth, "That okay?" he asks as Meliodas and I glance at each other, smiling.

"Uh... Y...Yes! Of course, it's okay!" Elizabeth says with a smile.

Stephan nods and looks at me, "I got you some food for the journey," he says.

"I should've married you, you don't poison me," I joke as I grab Nightshadefol as Meliodas sulks.

"Y/N!" Harlequinn calls out.

I look at Meliodas, "I love you," I say before I fly out with Stephan and we leave with Harlequinn as Meliodas shouts that he loves me back.

As the three of us are flying to find Oslo, I'm eating the berries that Stephan prepared for me when I slow down and the two boys notice as I look elsewhere, "Y/N? What is it?" Harlequinn asks.

"What's the matter?" Stephan asks.

"Foxy..." I whisper.

"What's wrong with Ban?" Harlequinn asks.

"We're going the wrong way," I say and point in a direction, "They're that way... But Oslo, is," I point in the direction Oslo is which is the one we were going in, "That way... The Fairy Forest is that way... He got called there then transported someone, that way," I point in Ban's direction again.

"Right?" Harlequinn says.

"Which fairy in the forest would want to go to Ban?" I ask.

"Elaine, but she's..." Harlequinn sighs, "Are you serious? There's a demon who can bring back the dead?" he asks.

"It's temporarily... The demon Melascula of Faith, if the deceased has any regrets... Even if it's that a parent regrets not being able to get home for their child's birthday she can latch onto that and bring them back," Stephan says.

"Yeah... But they are so far that way, that we won't reach them in time, and Oslo is either ignoring me or he is scared or protecting Gerheade," I say.

"Right, let's pick up the pace!" Harlequinn says and the three of us fly as quickly as we can, to our home.

»»-———— 🐺 ————-««

Harlequinn, Stephan and I finally found Oslo in the fairy and saw the horrified state of the fairies. I didn't need to be told what happened to know my younger sister has woken up. I avoid looking at Gerheade, knowing I'll lose the will to continue fighting, "Oslo!" I call out and he barks charging over as I offer my hand to him, "We need you to take us to who you run off to, okay?"

Oslo barks and opens his mouth, sucking the three of us into his portal, "EEEK!" we hear a familiar screech as we exit the portal on the other side.

"Oslo?" a familiar soft voice says and we stare forward in surprise, "Big Sister! Brother!" Elaine said.

"Elaine!" Harlequin and I say.

"Have your wings changed?" Jericho asks.

"Elaine!/Big Sister!" Elaine and I say as we fly to each other, hugging each other tightly, Elaine bursts out into tears onto my shoulder as Harlequinn flies over and joins in the hug.

"It's okay, I'm here now," I say softly and kiss her head then Harlequinn's.

"Aww, ain't you gonna be a good Mum," Ban teases.

"Can it," I chuckle.

"Oh, Lady Y/N, Sir King," we turn to see Escanor in his weaker form, "Sir Ban tells me you were just with Lady Merlin, h-how is she?" he asks.

Harlequinn and I glance at each other as we float together, "Uh... Well, you see, uh... The thing is..." Harlequinn says.

"Her body is a stone statue... Kinda like, that one," Stephan says and I look at him alarmed as he's pointing at something, I look over and burst out laughing seeing Galand petrified.

"Awesome! That's amazing!" I laugh.

"Y...You know him?" Elaine asks.

"Of him, yeah... Meliodas told me, if you lie to him you turn to stone... Guess he lied or went back on his word," I turn to Escanor, "But, yes... Merlin in a statue, she lied to him, however... Her soul is okay," Y/N say with a smile.

"How is that good?" Jericho asks.

"Well, Britannia is being attacked by demons who eat souls... So, her soul is safe in Aldan... She's working on a way to put her back," I tell them.

"Oh... I think that's the best it's going to be," Escanor says and sneezes, "It's so cold," he shivers.

"We should get some rest, it's your first day with your new wings, and you're probably tired," Stephan places a hand on my shoulder as he looks at Escanor, "Do you need help with rebuilding your... Home?" he asks.

"No, I am retiring and returning to the Sins," Escanor says unsurely.

"Oh, Escanor this is Stephan, he's a knight?" Stephan shrugs, "Right, we'll discuss that later... He's my childhood friend... Stephan this is Escanor, Lion Sin of Pride," I introduce them.

"Nice to meet you, guess we'll be joining you back to the Sins then," Stephan says.

"Great! I have many barrels to deliver until then, Sir Ban, Lady Jericho and Lady Elaine have agreed to help me, with you three we'll get more transported," Escanor beams.

I look up at Stephan as he forces a smile, "Happy to help," he says as my eye twitches.

"Wolfy, you good?" Ban asks smugly.

"Foxy!" I launch at him, headbutting him by accident, he yelps as we tumble over the broken bar counter, "Wow! Ow!" Elaine chuckles softly at us.

"Yes, ow! Don't lunge at random at people! I'm exhausted!" I place my hands on his torso as I sit on his stomach, "Ugh... What are you doing?" Ban asks.

"Sister?" Elaine and Harlequinn call out.

I start chanting in old fairy language, "Y/N! You don't have enough strength right now!" Stephan scolds but I keep chanting and my (e/c) eyes turn gold and shine as my wings glow and flutter, "Why do you never listen?"

I smile and tilt my head, "Done!" I fly off of Ban who starts patting his torso, "I didn't do anything to you... Just for you," I answer.

"Uh... What?" Ban asks.

"I know your soul left your body," Ban's eyes widen as I look at him seriously, "A human with magical power," I gesture for Escanor to approach him, "And I mean... High magical power," I place my hand on Escanors torso and do the same, "The demons will go after you guys because you will help restore their magical power to the fullest. Human souls without powers will also help but not as much... Maybe I should've done the same to everyone back in the tavern... But they've got Meli, so it's fine," I say then begin to ramble.

"How do you know that?" Harlequinn asks.

"Uh... I studied after the demon attack when you two were kids..." I tell them.

"Y/N... Do you know who (Y/N/N) is?" Ban asks.

"Oh, that's her," Stephan points to me, "It's her nickname from when we were kids," Ban's eyes widen a little, "Why?" he asks.

"Galand and Melascula said you and the Cap'n caused a lot of issues in the Holy War..." Ban stands up as my eyes widen, "That you made him betray the demons..."

"I knew, he's a demon!... Wait, what are you saying, Ban? That Y/N knew?" Harlequinn asks.

Ban continues, "That it was your fairy blood that helped seal away the demons," Ban says and I look away, "Wolfy?"

I look back at him and give him daggers, telling him not to press any further, "I'm tired," I fly over to Nightshadefol and curl up on it, "I've never met those demons, Ban, and I doubt I'm the only Y/N who is nicknamed (Y/N/N)... Goodnight," I say and close my eyes, practically running away, while staying on the scene.

Chapter 15: 013

Chapter Text

Y/N's P.O.V.

When I woke up, Harlequinn started asking me a lot of questions from Ban's questions last night, but somehow I easily swerved them and was able to distract Harlequinn by giving him barrels to add to Escanor's wagon. Escanor took us to Vaizel and, Harlequinn, Ban, Jericho, Stephan and I turned speechless at the sight that was left over from Diane's attack.

When we arrived at Vaizel, Escanor admitted he wasn't aware that we had to travel through the maze to get to the main arena. The seven of us started through the maze together but eventually Stephan and I ended up on our own, somehow I felt, straightaway, that it was better that way and when the Earthcrawler attacked, I was right.

I groan in frustration and start banging my head on a wall and Nightshadefol is suddenly placed in the way, by Stephan, "You'll hurt yourself," Stephan says.

"I really should stop letting you lead," I say.

"What? I felt Elizabeth in this direction!"

"She's not here!" I see a gigantic thorn approaching us, I grab Stephan and jump up, missing the thorn. I land on the plant, "Gotcha, let's use this!" I say, putting him down and we start running on the root as more thorns try to impale us but we dodge with ease.

"Come on, you're up! Our organisation assistant, Taizoo!" a familiar voice says.

"Hey, look! We made it!" Stephan says as he grabs me and we jump down into the main centre arena.

"Whoa!" I cheer.

"How on earth did you two escape Death Thorn?" Gloxinia asks and I look at him in shock as he looks at me.

"Hey, Sir Meliodas, it's First Fairy Queen Y/N!" Arthur waves and jogs over to us, "Are you okay? Did you help the fairy?" he asks.

I look at him and smile, "Yes, I'm fine and yes we did. Thank you for thinking of us," she says.

Arthur smiles, "You're welcome, Sir Meliodas has been..." roots surround me, "Fairy Queen Y/N!" he calls out as I'm yanked away and held upside-down in front of Gloxinia.

"Y/N!" my allies call out.

"Let her go!" Meliodas yells.

"Well hello... I just love to see your ugly mugs again, so happy," I taunt.

"Oh, boy she's taunting them... Lord Meliodas, she's pissed!" Stephan panics as I hear him change forms, "Uh oh! Girly in trouble!"

"Stephan! Calm down, you're getting yourself worked up!" I yell.

"Of course, I am! You're hanging upside-down in front of demons!" He continues panicking.

"Stephan, enough!" Meliodas barked.

"Yes sir," Stephan quietens down.

"Oh, how I feel so loved, your Queen tells you to calm down and you don't, her husband says it and you sit down like a dog," I roll my eyes.

"It's really you," I squeak as I'm suddenly turned the right way up, "I've been trying to reach you," Gloxinia says.

"Then I've been successful in ignoring you," I answer.

Gloxinia using Basquias to bring me closer, "Sister!" Elaine and Harlequinn yell in worry.

"Sister? You joined another family?" Gloxinia asks.

"I was given another family after I forgot about my first," I answer.

Gloxinia places his hand on my cheek, "My darling Y/N... My darling little girl, I have mis-" I suddenly headbutt him, knocking him backwards and Nightshadefol turns into mini-scythes cutting up Basquias until I'm free then it turns into Protector and holds me to it, "Y/N!" Gloxinia says.

"You left me to die... I want nothing to do with you," I say and fly over to Meliodas quickly who takes me into his arms.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" he whispers.

"I'm okay, I promise," I whisper.

"Very well... Taizoo," Gloxinia says.

"Welcome, you battle-starved beasts! It seems there were a lot more of you that cleared the labyrinth than we expected! So to kick things off, we'll start with pairs battling it out in a tag-team match competition! Who's with me?!" Taizoo yells.

"I still haven't forgiven him for almost flashing my knickers," I comment.

Meliodas cracks his knuckles, "Don't remind me," Meliodas grumbles.

"Wait one second!" We all turn to the voice, "You've still got another competitor!" We watch as Gowther lands on top of Escanor, knocking him down, "Gowther! Is on the scene!"

"Sir Gowther, you're alright!" Arthur says in relief.

"Huh?" Howzer and Gilthunder look at each other, "I thought he said something about all the life in the labyrinth having vanished?" Howzer says.

"Ooow.... Uh... Would you mind moving your foot just a little bit?" Escanor asks.

Gowther lifts up his foot instantly, "Ah, my apologies... It appears I may have slightly miscalculated my landing position," Gowther says.

Escanor sits up rubbing his head, "Ahh, no worries... People are always telling me I blend into the background... I guess it can't be helped..." Escanor says and his glasses crack.

Gowther tilts his head slightly, "That voice... That physique... And your tone... You... You're..." Escanor notices his glances and screams, "Escanor! It's been forever!" Gowther notices me, "Y/N!"

"Gowther!" I reply.

We both wave at each other happily, "HI!" We do an air-high-ten and kick our leg back.

"That's the Lion Sin, Sir Escanor?" Elizabeth questions.

"Trust me, I know what you're thinking... The man standing before you right now, saying he has self-esteem issues would be an understatement," Meliodas says.

"Wh-wh-wha-what am I gonna do?! The precious glasses that Merlin gifted me th-th-they're beyond repair! Without these, I...I...I just... GAH!" Escanor whales.

"You annoy me. Plus you're bringing the beginning of these festivities to a standstill," Gloxinia says and waves his arm, making Basquias move.

"Don't!" I yell and Basquias suddenly impale Escanor.

"ESCANOR!" Meliodas and I yell and run over to him with Ban.

"I mean, the sooner we get the festival started, we can grant whatever wishes the victor may have... For example..." Gloxinia says as Basquias turns into its 7th Form Moon Rose, a giant pale rose over Escanor.

I stop running and watch a Moon Rose droplet land on Escanor, shocking everyone but Meliodas, Stephan and myself, as we watch the large gaping hole heal instantly.

"Now that I've given everyone just a little taste, let's hurry up and split them up into pairs!" Gloxinia turns to look at Drole, "Well then... The honour's all yours, Drole!" he says.

"Teams of two, right?" Drole moves his four arms around slightly, "Senpanjustu," he says as he brings hands together, the ground shakes and platforms rise from the ground.

I squeal as I lose balance and feel someone grab me, I look up to see Stephan looking at me, "Guess we're not getting split up for some reason?" Stephan says.

"He practically raised you, I wouldn't be surprised if he puts us in cages," I reply as I stand up normally.

"Those standing on the same floating rocks have been chosen by fate to team together..." Stephan and I look at each other, "Now... Put your lives and pride on the line and prepare to battle!" Drole says.

"Well, we found out why, just no cages," Stephan says.

I sigh and stretch, "At least you're not going to go Burn Girly Burn at me again," I giggle as he blushes, "Aww, Baby Blue blushing?"

"Stop calling me that!" he yells.

"I don't wanna," I tell him.

"Oi, Baby Blue!" Stephan turns with a glare towards Meliodas who was standing Ban, "You better not let anything happen to Y/N!" he says.

I look around at the pairs, the pairs were: Stephan and me, Meliodas and Ban, Hendrickson and Baby Griamore, Diane and Harlequinn, two assassins, a travelling monk and assassin, Arthur and a swordsman, Howzer and a lute player, Slader and a gladiator, Gilthunder and a mage, Escanor and Hawk, Gowther and Jericho, a female giant and Oslo, Blue demon and a Holy Knight, two Blue Demons, and two golems of Drole and Gerheade.

"You know, we still need one more team to make it eighteen," Gloxinia says.

"Yes... We do," Drole says.

"I think I have an idea," Gloxinia looks over at Stephan and me, Stephan pushes me behind him causing Gloxinia to chuckle, "Yes, I think I know just what to do..."

"He's staring at us..." I say as I place my hands on his shoulders.

"I know," Stephan says and we watch as Gloxinia uses his magic but we don't see anything happen.

"There we go, eighteen teams," Gloxinia announces.

Each of the pairs on a floating platform forwards a finger of the two stands, "Now then, at last, the tag-team matches can begin in earnest!" Taizoo yells, "Each of your platforms has now arrived at a random one of the stages. The other pair that also arrives with you will be your opponent in this first round!"

"Eighteen teams? My math tells me they only went over sixteen just now... And he did something but I don't see anything," Meliodas says as his platform is near me and Stephan.

"Yep, which means they're two more teams joining the mix," Ban says.

"Well, he looked at us, we don't know what he's planning," Stephan says as I stay behind us.

"Y/N," I look over at Meliodas, "I'm right here, okay? I won't let anything happen to you," he says.

"I know," I smile.

The four of us flinch and turn when we hear two screams to see Elaine and Elizabeth, "Elaine! Elizabeth!" I call out with Meliodas, Ban and Stephan.

"The first rule of the Grand Fight Festival... The use of any and all kinds of weapons, magic and even 'foul play' is permitted. Rule number 2, the conditions of victory are as follows Killing your opponent's teams, rendering them powerless and helpless, or them falling from the battle platform," Gloxinia says.

Elizabeth screams as she nearly backs off the platform but Elaine pulls her back, "Gloxinia you bastard! Elizabeth has nothing to do with this! Return her at once with Lady Elaine!" Stephan yells.

"Lay a single finger on Elaine and I'll fucking dice you into mincemeat!" Ban yells.

"We're the ones that'll be deciding that Baby Blue," Stephan glares at Gloxinia as I grab his arm, "And what is it, my darling Y/N calls you... Foxy?" My eyes widen as I glance at Ban who looks at me, "Unfortunately, the moment they stepped foot into the labyrinth, they became willing participants," Gloxinia chuckles, "But if my darling Y/N wants to side with me instead of you, Meliodas, I might change the rules slightly," he suggests.

"No!" Stephan wraps his arm around my waist, "Don't you even think about it!" he sneers, glaring at Gloxinia, "I know it's your little sister and Elizabeth, but don't you dare think about it," he tells me.

I flinch seeing thrones grow from around Meliodas's platform edging, making both Ban and Meliodas jump back, "Rule number 3, abandoning or forgetting of the battle is strictly prohibited," Gloxinia says.

"Lady Y/N! Sir Stephan! Sir Meliodas!" I look over at Elizabeth, "Do not worry about me! Right now, you need to concentrate on yourself! I'll be okay!" she calls out.

Stephan smiles and rests his head against mine, "She never changes, huh?" he says.

"No," I smile, "She doesn't," I giggle.

"Sister! Ban!" I blink hearing Elaine calling out to me, "I'm fine too! It's as Elizabeth said, you worry about your own fight! And sister, don't you dare think of that man's conditions! We're going to be okay!" Elaine says.

I exhale heavily and look over to another platform, "Harlequinn!" I call out.

"I'm alive!" he calls out, but sounding dazed.

I blink a few times and look at Stephan, "Has he already lost?" Stephan asks.

"I don't know... He says he's alive so... No?" I question tapping my chin in thought as I watch Elaine and Elizabeth fighting against the two assassins.

"We're not moving until they're done, I'm guessing," Stephan says.

"No, we are not," I answer.

We watch as Elaine knocks the assassins back before a smokescreen surrounds their platform and I step forward, grabbing Stephan's hand, "I'm right here," he says.

"Sorry..." I whisper.

"It's okay, I'm nervous too," he says.

I see Elaine fly above the smoke screen, using her magic to move away the smoke, knowing the two men down, "Damn... Look at my sister," I smile, proudly, causing Stephan to chuckle softly.

Our eyes widen slightly, sensing Elizabeth's healing magic, "Is she hurt?!" Stephan asks.

"No... She's healing someone," I say.

"The winners of the first tag match battle are the combo of Elizabeth and Elaine!" Taizoo announces.

I smile then freeze as I hear Elizabeth scream and I see the two assassins get swallowed into the platform and Elaine pulling her back, "Pathetic losers ought to excuse themselves immediately," Gloxinia smirks.

I grab Stephan and we jump backwards as something lands where we were standing, "Now, that's just rude," I smirk.

"Y/N!" Meliodas calls out.

I see a flower golem of Stephan in his smaller fairy form, turning to us, "What the hell is that?!" Stephan yells.

"Errr... It's a plant golem of you," I answer.

"I can see that!" Stephan starts laughing as he looks over my head, "That's hilarious!" he laughs.

I look over to see another plant golem but me when I was a toddler hugging its Nightshadefol while sucking its thumb. I crack my knuckles, "I'll destroy it," I threaten then flinch as the golem of toddler me starts crying and running over to Golem Stephan who hugs it.

"Are you kidding me?!" Stephan and I yell.

"Gloxinia!" I run over to the edge and point at the golems, "What the hell is this shit?! I did not do that!" I yell.

"Still can't hurt a child?" Gloxinia asks.

"Neither can you so shut your fucking mouth!" I point at him.

"What is it?!" Ban asks.

Stephan picks up the toddler me golem, "Her as a toddler," he yelps as golem Stephan jumps on his back, "And me," he says before toppling over.

"Seriously?!" Meliodas and Ban question.

I sigh and cover my face in my hands, "This is the worst," I flinch hearing golem me wailing in tears.

"Y/N! Do something!" Stephan yells as I look to see the golem of him pulling at his hair and setting it on fire.

Golem Stephan bounces on Stephan's back as Golem me continues crying, "Did I seriously cry that much?" I ask, tilting my head.

"Yes," Gloxinia and Drole answer together.

I glare at them before walking over to the golems then remember what Gerheade used to say to us, "Shall we play a game?" the two golems look at me interested, "Come on," I lead them to the middle of the platform and we sit down, "Stephan, join us..."

Stephan walks over unsurely, "What are you planning?" he sits beside me.

"Choose differently from when we were kids," I say to Stephan's heart.

"Rock paper scissors," I say and the two golems perk up, "You against... you... And me against... Me."

"Rock, paper, scissors!" Stephan and I say as we tap our fists against our palms as the golems copy us.

Stephan draws rock as Golem Stephan draws scissors and I draw paper as Golem me draws rock. Two scythes pierce through the golems and immediately multiply, slicing all the plants up until nothing remains.

"That was fast," I hear Gloxinia say and I look over at him, to see him flying beside our platform, "How'd you win?" he asks.

"We've grown up, but you left me to die," I stand up and walk over to him, "So... Why didn't you check I was alive?" I ask.

"You lost your wings..." he says.

"Yeah, I know. Why didn't you stay with me? You left," I ask.

"Y/N..." Stephan says.

"I deserve to know," I fold my arms, "Go on then... What was much more important than checking me and Gerheade were breathing?" I ask.

"Gerheade? Is she alive?" he asks.

I shake my head, "I never said that," I tell him then see the Blue Demons flying above Ban and Meliodas and I look over as Gloxinia flies back over to Drole.

"The winners are the pair Y/N and Stephan!" Taizoo announces as we high-five.

Meliodas's P.O.V.

Why did those things have to make a move now? He was talking to her and now I don't know what's been said!

"What the hell? Flying up in the air like that is playin' dirty," Ban says.

I scratch the back of my head, "If we can't catch 'em, this is gonna be a pain in the ass..." I reply.

"You just wanna hurry on up and feel up Wolfy as soon as possible, don't ya, Cap'n?" Ban questions.

"Please... Like you're not dying to go and snuggle with Elaine," I smirk.

Ban laughs and flicks my hair as I look at him, "Don't lump me in with you, Cap'n."

"Am I wrong? Funny, guess you're still as immature as ever..."

Ban raises a hand to me, "Immature? That's rich coming from you," he says and suddenly his hand is missing, blood spurting from the wrist.

"Huh? Where'd your hand go?" I ask in confusion.

"Don't change the subject," Ban's hand regenerates and points at me, "I ain't like you, Cap'n, who gets his rocks off of feeling up assess."

"Don't be ridiculous... I'm no kid... There's no way I'd be satisfied with just getting my hands on some sweet ass... I'd at least have to squeeze a nice set of titt-!"

Ban looks at me in surprise, "Cap'n... You got something on your face there..."

I flick whatever is on my face, off, "Now you're the one changing the subject," I fold my arms and look at him smugly, "You know what I think Ban? I think the very concept of a woman's cushy, plump, wondrous lumps are just too far beyond your realm of understanding and appreciation."

"Heh?!" Ban looks at me with an annoyed smirk, "Them sounds like fightin' words to me... Let's get one thing straight, Cap'n... You took the words right outta," he clenches his fist and punches me, knocking my head to the side, "My mouth!"

I move my head back, "Ohoooh?"

"That silky-soft, smooth sensation from holding Elaine close is simply the best," Ban grins.

"Silky smooth sensation... Yeah... Sure."

Ban opens his arms to the sides, "I pity you Cap'n, I really do... Those subtle nuances and details always go over your head."

I jump and kick Ban backwards instantly as I grin, "How's this for subtle!"

Y/N's P.O.V.

I am curling into Stephan as my face is burning, Stephan rubs my back, "I think they forgot we can hear them..." Stephan says.

"Tell me about it..." I mumble into his skin in embarrassment.

Meliodas's P.O.V.

I raise a finger as I look at Ban with a determined glare, "Don't make me say it again, Ban! Y/N is the cream of the crop!" I tell him determinedly.

Ban start sitting up as his wounds start healing, "As if... No one holds a candle to Elai...N..." he looks beneath him, "Ah?" he realises he's sat on one of the Blue Demon's that is dead, "How the hell did he die?"

I look around and notice the other one dead behind me, "Look Ban! I don't know how or when, but it looks like they've all been totally wiped out!"

"No way! What the?! So then... Does that mean, we're done?!"

"Looks like... Either way, it was lucky that these guys didn't get matched up against Y/N and Stephan."

"Hah, yeah, if they did, who knows what would've happened to these weaklings."

"The victors... The duo of Meliodas and Ban!" Taizoo calls out and we fist bump.

"Hey, you idiots!" We look over to see Y/N hiding her face in Stephan's stomach, "You know we can hear both your voices and hearts right?! Ban, Y/N does not want to hear about her little sister's silky smooth skin you long to touch! And Meliodas, Y/N does not want you to talk about her body in front of him!" Stephan says nodding his head to the side.

Ban chuckles softly and scratches his neck, "Heh... Sorry Wolfy..." he says.

"I'm not... I'll compliment her body all day lo-" I face plant the platform suddenly, "Ugh..."

"She wants you to be quiet now, Cap'n," Ban says and I look up to see him flexing his fist, knowing he punched me.

"Fine..." I sulk as I stand up.
