Chapter 1: The slap

Chapter Text

"Hey, Kf" Robin said, walking through the door.

Kid Flash slapped him.

"What the fuck?" Robin said, grabbing his cheek.

"Oh, that was for Aqualad," Kid Flash said.

"No way, what did he do to you that made you slap him?" Robin asked, bewildered.

"He ate my toast" Kid Flash said.

Robin looked at him unimpressed "Wow, what a crime."

Kid Flash kissed the damaged cheek "There, damage repaired"

"Yeah, sure" Robin said, rubbing his cheek.

"What are you doing here, dear?" Kid Flash said, letting him in.

"I came to visit, but I don't feel very welcome" Robin said, frowning.

Kid Flash hugged him and covered his face with kisses "Do you feel welcome now?"

"Very much" Robin said with a smile

"Glad to hear it" Kid Flash said

Chapter 2: The Bat-Family Group Chat

Chapter Text

Dick: Wait a minute, aren't three of the family dating supers?

Jason: More than three, actually.

Dick: No. I mean, Bruce is dating Clark, Tim is dating Kon, and Damian is dating Jon.

Jason: Oh, you're right.

Damian: You're dating Wally.

Tim: And you're dating Roy.

Bruce: And Cass is dating Stephanie.

Dick and Jason: Redheads are hot.

Cass: Stephanie is fun.

Stephanie: And Cass is amazing.

Barbara: Why do I even eat with you guys?

Duke: I ask myself that every day.

Chapter 3: Aunt's visit

Chapter Text

Robin was in Kid Flash's arms, both cuddled up in bed, when the window suddenly opened.

"Bruce sent me to give you therapy" Harley said with a smile

"He's the one who needs therapy" Dick said.

"Yeah, I came after his session" Harley said.

"Do you want to too?" Harley asked Wally.

"I'm fine, thanks" Wally said.

Dick laughed "You wish. You have to be mentally unwell to want to go out with me"

"That's why you need therapy" Harley said.

"I'm sure it's because of my low self-esteem, not my hallucinations" Robin said.

"Everything counts, birdie" Harley said, entering the room

Robin frowned "Don't steal KF's nickname"

"Do you prefer baby bird?" Harley asked, sitting down on the bed

"Yeah" Robin said.

"So baby bird, let's start the session" Harley said.

Chapter 4: Fly

Chapter Text

Robin was flying, flying like his parents used to, like he himself used to in Gotham.

And he was laughing, laughing with his signature laugh that sent villains fleeing because it was a laugh they'd come to recognize and fear.

Then he was falling, falling like his parents had that day. Like he was doing right now.

"Birdie, will you stop giving me heart attacks?" Kid Flash asked, scooping him up in his arms and positioning them both safely on the street.

A more normal laugh came out of his mouth, and Robin said "No."

Wally shook his head, but he was smiling

Chapter 5: The higher mind

Chapter Text

Robin was lying in bed staring at the ceiling.

"What are you thinking about so much?" Wally's face suddenly appeared in his field of vision.

"What if we're toys for a higher mind to have fun with?" Dick asked.

Wally blinked. "Okay, deeper than I wanted to go."

The young redhead lay down on the bed next to his boyfriend.

"What makes you think that?" Kid Flash asked.

"Just four-dimensional vision, like those Catholics who believe in God," Robin said.

"Okay..." Kid Flash said, not quite sure what to do in this kind of situation.

"And what topping is better for pizza, and why don't you ever let me put cereal on it?" Robin suddenly asked.

"Robin, are you high on the Joker's laughing gas again?" Kid Flash asked.

"No, I wasn't even on patrol today," Robin said.

"So what's with all the questions?" Kid Flash asked.

"What's up with you never answering the questions I ask?" Robin replied.

Kid Flash opened and closed his mouth for a few seconds.

"If a higher being plays with our lives, at least I'm glad I got together with you. You've already mangled our language enough to ruin pizza too, buddy," Kid Flash said, laughing.

"Buddy?! That's it, you're out of a wedding" Robin said.

"Nooo, baby, light of my life, my love, ray of sunshine, energy that keeps me alive, please don't leave me without a wedding," Kid Flash begged.

"You're so pathetic" Robin said, laughing.

"You love me that way" Kid Flash said, winking at him

Robin sighed. "I guess I do" but the young man was smiling fondly

Chapter 6: The jump

Chapter Text

"Hey, handsome, is there any crime in the city?" Robin asked, approaching the speedster on the roof.

"What did you call me?" Kid Flash asked.

"Kid Flash. Are you not reacting to your name?" Robin said with a smile.

"You certainly didn't use two words," Kid Flash said, arms crossed.

"Umm, I say so. You should wash your ears," Robin said with a smile, approaching the ledge of the building.

"No. I heard what you said," Kid Flash said, approaching the other.

"Lucky you then, honey," Robin said before jumping.

Kid Flash raised his head and watched Robin disappear into the shadows after landing cleanly on the ground.

"Did he call me handsome?" Kid Flash wondered.

Chapter 7: The phone call

Chapter Text

"Oh yes, Robin, my love," Speedy's voice was heard saying before a groan sounded.

"ROY, SHUT UP. I DON'T GET IN THE MIDST OF YOUR CALLS WITH JAYBIRD," Kid Flash said, mocking the nickname.

Robin blinked and said, "Bad time to call?"

"Never a bad time to talk to you, baby," Kid Flash said.

"EAT IT," Speedy was heard saying.

"I'll make you eat my fist if you don't shut up," Kid Flash said.

Robin laughed softly before saying, "Are you busy today?"

"For you? Never," Kid Flash said.

"Arcade game?" Robin asked.

"At 5?" Kid Flash asked.

"Yes," Robin said.

"Okay," Kid Flash said.

"I love you," Robin said with a smile.

"And love you too" Kid Flash said before hanging up the phone.

Chapter 8: Movie marathon

Chapter Text

"Then you're not going to do anything," Speedy said.

Both watched Robin go into a frenzy of madness and start beating up his team for being idiots, then set the tower on fire.

"No, or he will hit me later" Kid Flash said, leaving his boyfriend to take out his anger on his friends.

Speedy sighed tiredly.

"Besides, when he gets tired, I'm going to steal him and wrap him in a blanket so we can watch a marathon of his favorite movie series at home," Kid Flash said with a smile.

Chapter 9: The fight before going to sleep

Chapter Text

Robin was staring at the ceiling.

He couldn't sleep.

He could never sleep when he wasn't in his lover's arms.

But he and Kid Flash had had a fight this morning.

He didn't know why, to be honest.

One moment they were talking normally, and the next they were yelling at each other about supposed infidelities.

Oh, now he remembered. Robin had gone out to do some shopping with Starfire and Raven, and when he came home, Kid Flash started yelling at him as if he'd caught him having sex with the neighbor.

In the end, he'd left slamming the door, and that's how it ended. He was sleeping on the couch, and the house was dark when he returned.

He continued staring at the ceiling in silence as he put his relationship problems aside.

He closed his eyes and for a few moments forced himself to go to sleep.

It didn't work.

But when he opened them again, he found a familiar silhouette looking at him.

"Move over," Kid Flash said.

"Huh?" Robin said.

"Move over, I'm sleepy, you probably aren't. Damn insomniac," Kid Flash said.

Robin got up and let the taller boy lie down on the couch. He then laid himself down on top of him and put a blanket over them both.

"Now sleep," Kid Flash said, ignoring the other.

Robin blinked, but smiled. Even when they were fighting, they both still came to each other.

It seems Robin wasn't the only one who couldn't sleep if his lover wasn't around.

Chapter 10: The kidnapping

Chapter Text

Robin was at one of those boring superhero galas because he was obviously Batman's protégé and had to be here dying of boredom instead of enjoying an afternoon of watching movies with his boyfriend.

Robin felt hands grab him by the waist and lift him up.

"Harley! YOU SON OF A BITCH, LET ME GO, DAD!" Robin shouted as his aunt pulled him out of the gala through a window.

"Aren't you going to do anything?" Wonder Woman asked, seeing the Joker's ex steal Batman's protégé.

The superheroes looked at Batman, who shrugged and said, "As long as she doesn't kill him, I'm fine. Robin is strong, he'll survive a day in his aunt's care."

Kid Flash heard the door open and shouted, "How was the gala, darling?"

Robin walked in soaked, with seaweed in his hair, cat whiskers made with marker, and a frown.

"Wow, what happened?" Wally asked, running to get a towel and giving it to the boy.

"Harley Quinn, that's what happened," Robin said.

Kid Flash laughed. "Well, at least you didn't suffer at the gala."

"No, I suffered at an amusement park," Robin said.

"You had fun, little bird" Harley said with a smile.

"Fuck you," Robin said, giving him the middle finger.

Harley laughed just like Wally. Robin looked like a sulking wet kitten, and it was adorable.

"Love you too, little pigeon," Harley said, blowing him a kiss before leaving, closing the front door.

Chapter 11: Flowers

Chapter Text

Robin: Sometimes I wish you were like Beast Boy. He gives Raven flowers every day.

Kid Flash: Okay.

*The next day*

Kid Flash gives Raven flowers

Raven: ???

Kid Flash: I don't know, I don't get it either.

Robin banging his head. "I'm dating an idiot."

Chapter 12: Relationship problems?

Chapter Text

Starfire: Hey, are you and your boyfriend okay?

Robin: Yeah, why do you say that?

*Kid Flash tied up like a rodeo pig while Robin is on top of him holding the apple that's preventing him from speaking*

Starfire: Just checking

Chapter 13: Prize

Chapter Text

Jinx: Cyborg, you deserve a treat for putting up with me.

Cyborg: You're my treat, Jinx

Kid Flash: Robin, you deserve a treat too.

Robin: Of course I deserve it. Sometimes you're a real pain in the ass.

Kid Flash: 😏

Robin: And not in a good way. I can still enjoy that one. Not your shitty personality.

Kid Flash: 😔 Why do you hate me? 😭😫

Robin: It's my duty as my enemy's boyfriend.

Chapter 14: Breakfast

Chapter Text

"Wait, are you gay?" Starfire asked.

"Who starts a conversation like that?" Robin asked, putting the spoon of cereal halfway to his mouth.

"Are you?" Star asked.

"No," Robin said.

"No!" The Titans said.

"Are you not?" Kid Flash asked.

Robin frowned. "You're my boyfriend. You should know I'm bi."

"Yeah, right. I forgot," Kid Flash said.

Chapter 15: The smell

Chapter Text

Robin left his room and wrinkled his nose in disgust as he entered the living room. "Why does it smell so bad? Who did you kill?"

"I fell into a toxic waste tank," Kid Flash said with an apologetic smile.

"And you didn't die?" Robin asked, putting a clothespin on his nose.

"Super regeneration," Kid Flash said.

"Even you can't have that," Robin said.

"You'd be surprised what I can do, Wonder Boy," Kid Flash said with a flirtatious smile.

"What are you doing here anyway? Don't you have anywhere else to stink?" Robin said, starting to open the windows.

"No, Speedy kicked me out of the house, saying I was killing everything, including Aqualad's fish," Kid Flash said.

"Well," Starfire said, "What a coincidence we have a decontamination shower."

"The decontamination shower isn't for toxic waste. Give it a hose down first," Robin said.

"At your service, Captain," Cyborg and Beast Boy said, leading the red-haired boy away.

Kid Flash emerged from the decontamination shower with a towel around his waist. Robin was waiting for him with a change of clothes in his hands.

"Do you like the view?" Kid Flash asked flirtatiously.

"You wish I had burned your suit, so grab some clothes. I hope you have a spare at home," Robin said.

"Thanks, love, you're very thoughtful," Kid Flash said with a smile.

The redhead started to change, causing the black-haired boy to turn around to give him some privacy.

"How cute," Kid Flash said with a smile. "Baby, you've seen everything there is to see. And you've certainly seen me naked before."

"Shut up, I like to give people privacy, not like your damn voyeur," Robin said, grateful to continue with his back turned so the other wouldn't see his blush.

"How could I not look, if your body seems to have been carved by the gods themselves, dear" Kid Flash said, already dressed, leaning on the younger boy's shoulders.

"You're impossible," Robin snorted.

"That's how you love me," Kid Flash said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Movie and a blanket?" the redhead asked.

"I'll make some popcorn," Robin said.

Chapter 16: Clueless

Chapter Text

"Hey Robin, do you want to go on a date?" Kid Flash asked on a normal Tuesday.

"Sure," Robin said.

"Sorry?" Speedy said.

"A miracle happened?" Bumblebee asked.

"It can't be," Raven said.

"I'm sure he has a fever, and he hallucinating that it was Star," Aqualad said.

Robin stopped fixing his motorcycle and looked up. "Wait, what I've accepted?"

"A date with Kid Flash," Beast Boy said.

"Oh, that. Oh, yeah. Sure, I'd love to," Robin said, continuing to fix his motorcycle.

"Excuse me?" Starfire said.

"Yeah, I mean, you don't love me. I'm tired of it. He loves me. And he's not so bad when you really know him," Robin said.

"Aww, thanks, darling" Kid Flash said.

"You're welcome," Robin said.

"Wednesday seems cool to you?" Kid Flash asked.

"I'd love to," Robin said with a smile.

Both groups of Titans looked at their leaders in disbelief.

Chapter 17: It's mine, I already licked it

Chapter Text

All this paraphernalia about saliva and belongings started when Robin was 10 and Kid Flash was 12.

They had just finished stopping a grandmother from being attacked and were fighting over who would get the bar the kind lady had given them.

"I say we can share it," Robin said, looking at Kid Flash, who licked the entire fruit bar in one swift motion.

"If it has my saliva, it's mine," Kid Flash said, showing his tongue to his friend.

"How disgusting," Robin replied, grimacing.

And so it all began. They continued licking things to claim ownership over each other.

---

Robin was 14 and had just licked a Birdarang

"Did you just do what I think you did?" 16-year-old Kid Flash asked.

"Claim this weapon with my saliva? Yeah, I did," Robin said.

"Dude," Kid Flash said, laughing. "What does metal taste like?"

"Gross, but it was worth it," Robin said with a smile.

---

When Robin was 16 and Kid Flash was 18, they had a sleepover between the two groups of Titans.

They were watching a movie. Kid Flash didn't know what it was about. He was more concerned with eating and leaning on his newly recovered friend (Kid Flash and Robin had been feuding for six months) than worrying about whatever was on TV.

Then their hands touched as they both went for the last slice of pizza.

The two boys looked at each other and frowned.

"Let go," Robin said.

"You let go, I got it first," Kid Flash said.

"Bullshit," Robin said.

The Titans, feeling the tension, looked at both leaders, who suddenly began rolling on the ground while fighting.

After seven minutes of struggling, Robin sat on Kid Flash and, in a childish act, licked the slice of pizza.

"It's mine, I already licked it," Robin said with a triumphant smile.

Kid Flash sighed in defeat, and the Titans looked confused.

"Context please," Beast Boy said.

"Rule of saliva, if you lick it, it's yours," Kid Flash and Robin said simultaneously with serious looks.

"You can't be serious," Aqualad said.

The two boys nodded, and Speedy slapped his face.

---

Robin and Starfire were talking about going out today to do something. Since they didn't usually spend time together, they were all right.

"How about going out to eat?" Robin asked.

"The spa?" Star suggested.

"Going through the park?" Robin asked.

"Oh, that would be nice," Starfire said happily. "It's a date."

Robin was about to contradict her, but an arm on his shoulder and a voice saying, "It's mine, I already licked it," stopped him.

Robin looked at the voice, which belonged to Kid Flash, who was frowning at Starfire.

"We were 13 when that happened," Robin complained.

"Still counts" Kid Flash said, pulling the boy closer.

Robin snorted, but didn't contradict him. He simply looked at Starfire to clear up the misunderstanding. "It's a get-together, not a date. Dates are with your partner."

"I mean, me," Kid Flash said.

"Shut up, you jealous bastard," Robin said, giving the boy a dirty look.

Star nodded in understanding. "Oh, okay, so we'll meet up as friends at the park at 6."

"Okay," Robin said.

Before he could say anything else, Kid Flash kissed him. Robin calmly let him. And Star went after her pet.

The two boys separated.

"I've never met anyone as jealous as you," Robin said.

"With such a huge prize I get from going out with you, how could I not?" Kid Flash said, kissing the younger boy's cheek.

Robin snorted, but he was smiling.

Chapter 18: The look

Chapter Text

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Robin asked.

"Like, what?" Kid Flash asked, confused.

"Like you want to take me to a motel and have five rounds of sex," Robin said.

"Excuse me?" Kid Flash said, incredulous.

"Yeah, you have that hungry look on your face," Robin said, pointing.

Kid Flash pouted. "But I was just watching the fly fly."

"Honey, we're 16. I respect your boundaries and your time. No, I don't want to sleep with you. Please tell me I wasn't looking at you like a sexual predator 😭😭😭" Kid Flash said.

Robin laughed. "I was messing with you, don't worry."

"You're so mean," Kid Flash said, pouting.

Robin kissed him on the cheek. "I'm sorry. Do you forgive me?"

"Only if you make me food," Kid said, arms crossed.

"As my king commands," Robin said, giving a military salute before heading into the kitchen.

Chapter 19: Bruce

Chapter Text

"Bruce?" Robin asked, looking around the living room.

"No," he said, seeing the empty space.

"Not here either," he said, seeing the empty kitchen.

"In his room? No."

"Movie theater, no."

"Garden, no"

"Kitchen, bathroom, living room, guest room, Batcave, office, office on the second floor. Nothing. He's not there" Dick said, scratching his head, wondering where his father had gone.

"I think he's in the attic, Master Richard," Alfred said, appearing out of nowhere.

"Thanks, Alfred," Dick said, heading up to the attic

"Bruce?" The young man asked when he went upstairs and found the attic light on.

"Here." Batman's deep voice was heard.

Richard followed the voice and found his father crouching down, rummaging through some boxes.

"What are you doing?" Dick asked, looking curiously at his father.

"Just reminiscing," Bruce said. "Can you pass me that box?"

Dick grabbed the box next to him and handed it to him. "Okay..."

Batman opened the box and took out a red book and smiled. "Bingo."

Dick looked at the book and smiled. "A photo album?"

Bruce stood up and started walking toward the exit. "Not just any album, your photo album."

"The one you made when I was like 9 and you said you needed to frame every moment before time closed in on you?" Dick asked, accepting his father's offered hand to lead him down the stairs.

"Yes," Bruce said, smiling.

The two arrived in the living room and sat on the couch. Alfred brought them some blankets and cookies before leaving the room to go find Bruce's photo album.

"Oh, I remember that. That gala was a drag," Dick said, laughing at a photo of him sulking in a suit. It had been taken before he was forced into the car to go to a gala.

"Yeah, but at least we got to laugh at those stuck-up Elders," Bruce said with a smile.

"Hahaha, yeah," Dick said, amused.

"Wait, when did you take that one?" Dick asked, looking at a picture of him asleep in his Robin suit.

"Oh, that was from your first patrol," Bruce said with a smile. "You fell asleep when we finished and I carried you back to the mansion."

"Oh, Mr. Whiskers," Dick said, pointing to an orange cat in a photo.

"Don't remind me, you didn't leave his side for two whole months," Bruce said.

"He was cute and soft, and animals do wonders for people," Dick said.

"You even took him on patrol," Bruce said.

"And he scratched criminals," Dick said, amused.

Bruce shook his head.

"I wonder where he is," Dick said nostalgically.

"Selina still has him at her house," Bruce said.

"You gave Mr. Whiskers to Catwoman?! You told me he went to a ranch," Dick said, pouting.

"In my defense, I didn't want a mangy cat in the mansion." Bruce

"He wasn't mangy. Alfred and I bathed him every Wednesday. You were just jealous that I was giving him more attention than you," Dick said, arms crossed.

"Maybe," Bruce said, turning the page in the scrapbook.

"Oh, look, Wallace," Bruce said, looking at the picture of a cake-stained redhead next to his son, who was smiling and laughing happily.

Sometimes he missed those days; they were happier and simpler.

"What happened to you two?" Bruce asked. "You were very close."

"I started developing feelings, and he must have noticed, so he just walked away" Dick said.

"But aren't you dating now?" Bruce asked.

"Now, we were 13 years old in this picture" Dick said, laughing as he pointed to the photo.

"Hey, Uncle Clark," Dick said, pointing to a photo of himself perched on Superman's shoulders.

"The headaches you gave me just to get me to let you stay with him for a weekend," Batman said.

"You were very paranoid, and you still are. Nothing was going to happen to me with Uncle Clark," Dick said.

"But you burned down an entire country," Bruce said.

"By accident," Dick shrugged.

Bruce sighed tiredly as he shook his head.

"You were no better, Master Bruce. Remember the Ireland incident?" Alfred said, appearing with a green book.

"I thought we weren't going to bring that up anymore," Bruce said.

"What's the Ireland incident?" Dick asked.

"You're too young to hear about that," Alfred said.

"I'm 16," Dick said, pouting.

"Still very young," Bruce said, ruffling the boy's hair.

The three continued looking at the photos in the two albums while Dick listened to the stories behind the photos Bruce had taken.

When they finished the photos, they migrated to the kitchen and began reminiscing about old memories and stories.

"By the way, were you here today for something specific, dear?" Bruce asked after finishing the fifth plate of cookies Alfred had served.

"Nothing important, just wondering if you wanted to come to dinner with the Allens on Friday?" Dick said.

"Do I have to?" Bruce asked.

"Well, Wally and I wanted it to be an in-law/son-in-law dinner," Dick said.

"You're not going to announce an engagement, are you?" Bruce asked.

"No. We're 16, Dad, it's not even legal for us to get married," Dick said, taking a bite of his cookie.

"And I'd like you to go," Dick said, looking his father in the eye.

Bruce smiled. "Okay, I'll go. But I reserve the right to judge both speedsters and your choices in a partner."

"You do that all the time. Besides, Iris wants to meet you," Dick said.

"Why?" Bruce asked.

"Because she's the only one who doesn't know you, and she wants to see what you think of her cooking," Dick said.

"Why?" Bruce asked again.

"Because Wally and Barry are his son and husband, and apparently I have a biased opinion because I eat his son," Dick said.

Bruce choked on his cookie, and Alfred patted him on the back.

"No touching until I'm 54," Bruce said.

"Nah, I'll allow it until I'm 18," Dick said, ignoring his father's horrified expression.

"Dick"

"Bruce"

"Kid"

"Old man"

"My son"

"Dad"

"Please"

"A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do."

"I'm going to make you break up with that pervert who's putting ideas in your head."

"If Wally and I break up because of you, I'll run away from home again and not speak to you for five years."

Bruce looked at him, resigned.

"Anyway, I think It's about time I went. It's getting late, and I don't want the Titans to burn down the tower if they haven't already," Dick said thoughtfully, looking at his clock.

"Please visit more," Bruce said, smiling at his son.

Dick hugged him, and Bruce enjoyed having his boy home again.

"I will," Dick said before hugging Alfred and then leaving.

"It's good to have him back," Alfred said when he heard the front door close.

"Yes," Bruce said with a smile.

Chapter 20: The trouble you can get into by going to a gay bar

Chapter Text

Robin had woken up with a severe headache and heavy eyelids.

Sunlight was shining all over his face, and Robin rubbed his eyes and stretched.

The first thing he noticed when he opened his eyes was that, one, he was naked, which was strange because he always slept in pajamas. And two, this room wasn't his room

Robin turned his head and found he wasn't alone in the bed either.

There was a redhead sleeping peacefully next to him. He was drooling on the pillow and had a peaceful expression on his face.

Robin blinked and realized two other things.

First, he had slept with a cute redhead, and second, he had slept with the civilian identity of Kid Flash.

How did he know this redhead was Kid Flash?

Simple.

His suit was lying on the floor near the door.

Robin groaned in frustration and ran his hand over his face.

"How the hell did I get to sleep with Kid Flash?" Robin mentally wondered.

The young man got out of bed, not disturbing the other man, who was sleeping like a log, and began searching for his clothes.

Somehow, they had ended up scattered all over the room.

Had they been so eager to fuck that they'd simply dropped their clothes along the way?

Robin managed to find his pants under the bed and his T-shirt on the floor, next to his underwear and socks in the corner.

He dressed quickly and took one last look at the young man before climbing out the window.

The good thing about being an acrobat was that you could sneak around the side of a four-story house without being seen or getting killed in the process.

...

Robin entered Raven's room through the window and found the girl muttering in the corner.

"I did something bad" Robin said.

"Me too," Raven said.

"Shit," they both said, looking at each other.

"It's because of things like this that we don't go out that often," Robin said.

"Yeah, but you have to admit, that gay bar we went to was awesome," Raven said.

"Yeah, it was," Robin said with a smile.

"What did you do?" Raven asked, sitting down on the bed.

Robin sat down on the bed too. "You?"

"I asked first" Raven said, sticking her tongue out at him.

Robin sighed and said, "I slept with Kid Flash."

"Me with Rose," Raven said.

"We're screwed," Robin said.

"They're just so sexy," Raven said.

"I know," Robin said.

"Why do our enemies have to be so good-looking?" Raven said

"Now all that's left is for Star to kiss Harley and Beast Boy to kiss Aqualad," Robin said.

The two looked at each other and started laughing.

"That's a good one," Raven said.

"I know," Robin said.

"What are we going to do?" Raven asked.

"I propose ignoring them," Robin said.

"Will it work?" Raven asked.

"If it worked for Batman, it'll work for them," Robin said.

...

Kid Flash was using his speedster powers to stand on the tower's glass.

He'd been wanting to talk to Robin about that night for a month, but the boy either ignored him or left the place whenever he saw him.

That's why he'd decided to go to his room and force him to talk about it.

He was about to kick the window when he turned at the sound and saw Rose standing a few feet away from him.

The two looked at each other, and Kid Flash smirked.

He may have been busy making out with Robin, but he'd seen the mercenary's daughter and the demon girl making out a few feet away from him in that gay bar.

"Good luck," he said before kicking the window and entering the Boy Wonder's room.

...

Robin was quietly sitting on his computer doing stuff when someone kicked his window and a colorful figure came in yelling, "GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION, YOU DAMN BASTARD!"

Luckily the rooms were soundproof 😏😏😏

Robin looked up and down at a Kid Flash approaching him and said, "What are you doing here?"

Kid Flash grabbed him by the waist and slammed him against a nearby wall.

"WTF," Robin said, bewildered by the other's attitude.

Kid Flash grabbed him by the chin and forced him to look at him while frowning at him. "We kissed, we had sex, and you disappear from my bed the next day. I come to talk to you about it, and you ignore me. I'm not a whore so you can come, fuck, pay, and leave."

"I didn't pay" Robin said.

"Oh, the boy can talk" Kid Flash said sarcastically.

Robin frowned at him and crossed his arms. "I prefer you moaning."

"And I like you in four, but we can't have what we want, right?" Kid Flash said angrily.

"Now explain yourself, asshole, and it better be good because I'm three seconds away from fucking you with anger" Kid Flash said.

"Ask permission first" Robin said.

"Give me the explanation already, asshole," Kid Flash said, smacking him on the forehead.

Robin glared at him angrily, but leaned against the wall and said, "What do you want me to say? I freaked out when I woke up in your room and ran away, then ignored you. It's not that complicated."

Kid Flash frowned at him. "Are you even the least bit interested in me?"

"No," Robin said, determined to end it all right here and now.

Kid Flash brought his face closer to the younger boy's, making him nervous with his intense gaze.

"So if you're not interested in me, why did you let me steal your virginity, darling?" Kid Flash asked before kissing him, only to separate a few minutes later.

Robin followed him, trying not to break the kiss, and Kid Flash smiled proudly at the blush on the boy's face.

Robin cleared his throat, seeing that the technique of pushing him away wasn't working.

Kid Flash took a hand from the boy's waist and in a quick movement, removed his hood and removed the Boy Wonder's mask.

"Look me in the eyes and tell me you're not even a little bit interested in me. Do that, and I'll leave, dear" said Kid Flash, looking into the young man's blue eyes.

They were beautiful, and Wally was willing to bet a lot of money that he would get lost in those crystalline eyes many times in the future.

Dick looked at him and really tried. But he couldn't. He couldn't keep lying to himself or to the other. Of course he loved him, with his cute freckles, sun-red hair, heroic deeds, good talker, playful, and somewhat flirtatious. A good kisser, an even better fucker. Laughter from angels themselves and beautiful eyes that compare to nothing Dick has ever seen before (I think I'm going too far)

How could I not love someone like Wally? (Bro, he never told you his name, you fucking stalker)

The boy held his gaze for five minutes before giving up and resting his head on the taller boy's chest while making sounds of disgust at himself. Wally laughed and carried them both to bed.

"Did a cat get the birdie's tongue?" Wally asked jokingly as he smiled at the other and brushed the loose strands of hair away from the other's face.

Dick looked him in the eyes, feeling the other's warm hand resting on his cheek, gently rubbing his thumb.

"I'm sorry I treated you like a whore," Dick said.

"It doesn't matter, now I know how prostitutes feel. It helped me change my perspective on life," Wally said.

"Yeah?" Dick asked.

"Yes," Wally said.

"It's not that I don't love you, it's that the public, the team, the civilians, ourselves. That's a lot of opinions," Dick said.

"Darling," Wally said, kissing the dark-haired man's forehead and clasping one of their hands together.

"I assure you, the only opinion that matters is ours," Wally said.

"You won't say that when the newspapers start slandering us," Dick said.

"The newspapers don't know shit about us. Please don't waste a wonderful opportunity for a gay romance," Wally said.

Dick laughed and looked Wally in the eye. "You're so stupid."

"Okay, fine. But if we break up, don't come throwing things at my tower," Dick said.

"Relax, little bird, the only thing I'll come to throw at you are flowers because I plan to marry you," Wally said.

"Very far in the future, you think," Dick said.

"I like to dream and make Batman mad," Wally said with a smile.

"Well, I hope you also like the icy glares he's going to give you," Dick said.

"I'd jump into a volcano for you. Your father doesn't scare me," Wally said.

"Okay, Romeo, let's stop flirting and get down to business," Robin said, smiling at him.

Wally smiled and climbed on top of him "What better way to celebrate our relationship than fucking?"

Robin grabbed the other's suit and brought it up to his mouth for a kiss. "Less talking and more eating. We can't let Rose and Raven win"

"Did you know that?" Wally said as he undressed.

"I know everything," Robin said as he took off his suit. "I am a detective, after all."

Wally smiled and started leaving kisses and marks along Robin's neck.

"Well, let's put your name to good use, dick" Wally said.

"It's not my name, it's a nickname, but okay" Robin said, moaning as Wally found a spot on his neck.

And they fucked. A la venga cada uno pa su casa

Chapter 21: The ruse

Chapter Text

"You know what?! I'm sick of pretending," Kid Flash said, looking at his partner.

The group of Titans watched the scene. Raven looked worriedly at her leader while the other three watched with smiles.

"What do you mean?" Robin said, looking at Kid Flash, not understanding anything.

Kid Flash frowned at him and said, "I'm sick of pretending that I actually love you. Our whole relationship, all the cheesy things, the gifts. Everything, it was just a ruse. A ruse to get the only thing I wanted: to get you into bed."

"I only went out with you because these idiots paid me 50 dollars to make you fall in love with me. It was so simple, a few nice words, a few gifts, and you were eating out of my hand. How does it feel to have your precious virginity stolen from you and it wasn't even real? I had to fake my orgasms, darling" Kid Flash said mockingly.

"Are you serious?" Robin asked, tears welling up in his eyes and a broken voice.

"Totally seriously," Kid Flash said with an evil grin on his face. "Oh, the baby's going to cry. Go to your mommy, darling. Let her comfort you. Oh, she can't because she's dead."

Robin turned around and walked away.

Raven looked incredulously at her friends, who were just laughing and clapping.

Cyborg handed Kid Flash the promised $50.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Raven said incredulously.

"Oh, come on, Raven. It was a really funny joke," Beast Boy said.

"Yeah, Robin didn't expect any of this," Starfire said.

"Did you see his face? Hahaha. He actually thought someone loved him," Cyborg said.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, you insensitive bastards? How the hell do you play with someone's feelings like that?" Raven said, going after Robin, but not before burying the four of them in snow.

Cyborg made the snow disappear with his cannon and smiled at Kid Flash. "Nice job, dude, you deserved that 50 dollars."

---

On a bridge with a wooden floor and black metal railings,

Robin looked up at the bright moon.

The beauty of the floating stone was reflected in the river below him.

"Please tell me those tears aren't because you believed what I said," a voice said.

Robin lifted his head, tears of laughter streaming down his face. "Oh dear, you've got to do better if you are telling me that your orgasms are fake"

Wally handed a rose to the young man who continued to laugh at him and sighed in relief. "We did it, didn't we?"

"Yes," Robin said happily, resting his head on the young man's shoulder as he watched the moon light up the dark, starry sky.

"Come on, we're missing the train," Wally said, grabbing the young man's hand.

They both ran off laughing as a Dominion mask flew off and sank into the river.

You might be wondering, what the hell just happened?

Well, it's simple, my dear readers.

All of this. It was a ruse.

Yes, Robin and Kid Flash's relationship had started as a bet. Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Starfire went to the speedster's house and proposed a plan. If he managed to sleep with Robin and make him think he was in love with him by the end of the year, they would give him $50 and a spot on the Titans.

Kid Flash obviously accepted. What was it like to mess with his enemy a little and then steal the team back in his face?

The bad thing is that after 5 months, the plan had worked so well that it was Wally who had fallen in love.

After 6 months, Wally, tired of lying to his partner, took advantage of a night when the Titans had gone out partying without their leader to stop by the tower and explain everything.

He had told him about the bet, but he had also explained that even though it all started as a joke, he had ended up falling in love for real.

That's why he was explaining all this to him, because he didn't want to break his heart.

Wally didn't know how he had gotten such an understanding and patient boyfriend because he sat next to him while he cried, begging for forgiveness, and he explained that even though he was hurt and questioning his intentions, he could see that Kid Flash's feelings were genuine, and he ended up forgiving him. Of course, Kid Flash also made an effort to be forgiven.

It had been a different day after having a wonderful sex with his boyfriend when he had the wonderful idea to continue the ruse

"What do you mean?" Wally asked, bewildered.

Robin climbed on top of him and grabbed his face while saying happily, "The deadline is three months away. You've kept your deal, made me fall in love, and slept with me. Let's fake a breakup. We fight, I pretend to cry and feel betrayed while you pretend to be proud of what you did. And then in the night we leave."

"We leave? Where?" Kid Flash asked.

"Far away, to the circus if necessary. You're just as fed up with the behavior of those three as I am. They'll never be a good team. We won't be good heroes. We can be circus performers, reconnect with my roots," Robin said excitedly.

"And Batman? And Raven?" Kid Flash asked.

"Batman doesn't give a shit about my life, and we can explain this to Raven later. I know she's also thinking about leaving the team. I can see her questioning more and more about just kidnapping me and sending us both to Titans East," Robin said.

"We talked to Roy about her joining his team. We can be happy," Robin said excitedly.

"But didn't you want to be a superhero?" Wally asked, puzzled.

"Wally, I only did this for Bruce. Yeah, at first it was fun, and I wanted to save them all. But with how strict and distant Batman has become over the years, it's just not the same. It feels more like a chore to try not to disappoint him than something I'm doing of my own free will," Robin said.

"I want to fly, to be free. Are you coming with me or not?" Richard asked.

"I'll go with you to the end of the earth if you want," Wally said decisively before kissing him.

And Robin laughed, free from the expectations and opinions of others, free from having to play a role, free from the masks he had put on over the years, and above all, free from everyone.

Wally loved his little bird's laughter; it sounded like a song in his ears.

If Dick wanted to fly, Wally would help him achieve it.

All Wally wanted was for his boyfriend to be happy.

So, let the show begin.

Chapter 22: The curls

Chapter Text

Kid Flash came kicking the door, just like he always did when he was going to bother his boyfriend.

"Huh?" Robin said as he turned to see who had barged into his room.

"Awwww," Kid Flash said, seeing his partner with his waves in the air.

Kid Flash quickly took the young man to the bathroom to wash the hand containing the hair gel he was going to apply and smiled as he ran his hands through his partner's natural hair.

"Do you mind?" Robin told him.

"Not at all," Kid Flash replied with a smile.

The black-haired boy slapped him away from his hands and looked at him angrily through the mirror.

Kid Flash pouted at him.

"You're so annoying," Robin said, looking at him before opening the bathroom cabinet to grab his hair gel and fix the hair falling in his face.

Kid Flash knocked the hair gel bottle to the floor, and Robin said angrily, "Dude."

"Leave your hair natural, just for today, please," Kid Flash begged.

"Why? It's uncomfortable and it gets in my face every time I work or fight," Robin said.

"Because I love it. It's super silky and pretty. The waves it creates are so cute that I can't help but run my fingers through them, feeling the soft touch of your hair," Kid Flash said with a smile.

"You're so weird," Robin said.

"But I've convinced you," Kid Flash said. With a smile, he watched as Robin dragged him back to the room.

"Just because I want to take a nap, and your hands running through my hair have always been experts at making me relax," Robin said, throwing him onto the bed.

Kid Flash smiled as Robin curled up on top of him in a comfortable position, letting the other maneuver to tangle his fingers in his hair while he slept peacefully.

"Sweet dreams, my love" Kid Flash said, beginning to run his fingers through the curls he loved so much.

"Night" Robin said, his eyes closed and a smile on his face, beginning to relax.

Chapter 23: In Italy I gave you my hand again

Chapter Text

They certainly weren't friends, but they weren't completely enemies either.

I mean,

Enemies didn't do what they were doing right now.

Lean on each other.

Kid Flash was leaning against a wall, tired of everything, with Robin sprawled across his lap, exhausted.

Robin was resting his elbows on the floor while his torso slumped onto Kid Flash's knees.

Kid Flash had his eyes closed as he stared up at the ceiling and rested a hand on the black-haired head

"Kid," Robin said quietly.

"Umm?" Kid Flash answered, still not moving or opening his eyes.

"Where are we?" Robin asked.

"Safe house," Kid Flash whispered.

None of them knew why they were speaking in low voices, but it seemed appropriate for the situation.

They were silent for a few minutes until Robin spoke again.

"Flash?"

"That's my uncle, Boy Wonder" Kid Flash said, finally opening his eyes to look at the young man on his lap with a haughty smile.

Robin ignored him and continued, "Why is fighting with you more tiring than fighting with my team?"

"Because I have powers and your team is a bunch of lazy people," Kid Flash said, remembering how they got into a hot tub at the first opportunity and did nothing.

"I fight them every day, and you once a month, twice a week if you get annoying. And you wear me down faster than they do" Robin said.

"I'm an expert at getting on your nerves, Robin" Kid Flash said, laughing.

"It's too exhausting. It would be nice if you were just another enemy on my list. But look, we're here in a house in who knows where."

"Italy" Kid Flash said.

"Lying on top of each other, talking calmly like we never talk in public. This isn't the first time we've done this. This isn't the first time either you or I have collapsed in each other's arms, tired of the world and ours lives, only to have the other carry us away just to have a few moments of peace" Robin said.

"What are we doing, Wally?" Robin asked, raising his head to look him in the eye.

Wally laughed without grace and said, "I don't know, Dick. I don't know."

Dick relaxed his body, ready to sleep for a while so he wouldn't have to think, but Wally spoke before the other could close his eyes.

"We know each other's identities. It won't seem like it on the outside. Every fall, every "I'm sick of everything and everyone, I just want the world to go away" has brought us closer. I mean, I know your story, Rob, you know mine. I even helped you pick up flowers for the anniversary of your parents' death. You helped me get out of my abusive parents' care. It's... This isn't what enemies do" Wally said.

"Aren't you tired of all this fighting?" Dick asked, "Because I do."

"I can't keep pretending to hate you. Because I don't. I've come to care about you because of these moments," Wally said.

Dick sighed and said, "We've saved each other's lives too many times to keep yelling at each other for things that happened four years ago."

"I agree with you" Wally said, leaning his head against the wall.

"Can we start over? Screw everyone else. I'm too tired to hold a grudge against you forever" Dick said.

"Yes, please" Wally said with a smile.

Dick stood up and offered a hand to a questioning Wally.

"Dick Grayson, formally known as Robin. Nice to meet you" Dick said.

Wally accepted the hand, and Dick helped him up. The two shook hands while smiling.

"Wally West aka Kid Flash. Nice to meet you too" Wally said.

"Now that that's all settled, do you feel like get changed and seeing Italy?" Robin asked with a smile.

"Do you know Italian?" Kid Flash asked, amused by the other's change of attitude.

"Yes" was the younger one's simple response.

"Let's go then. Let's start a new beginning in Italy" the older one said.

And so the two went upstairs to change from their superhero clothes to civilian clothes more appropriate for the occasion and walked through the streets of some city in Italy while talking and getting to know each other again.

This was the beautiful beginning of a friendship.

P.S. And then they obviously started dating, because I ship them and I'm in charge of this story. But anyway, let's focus on how I made them friends again, which is the focus of this story.

Chapter 24: Sleep

Notes:

This came to me while reading a Lazy Town fanfic.

Chapter Text

Wally woke up feeling a strange sensation. Something was wrong.

He checked the tower only to find all his friends well and sleeping.

He scratched his cheek, wondering what could be bothering him so he couldn't go back to sleep, when an idea struck him and he quickly ran out of the tower.

In the blink of an eye, he found himself in another living room. It was brighter and filled with papers and technology.

It would have been wonderful to see the living room so clean if it weren't for the papers scattered on the floor and the table next to a screen lit up above the sleeping person.

Kid Flash smiled at the sight of the young leader asleep.

Robin always overloaded himself with work.

Wally wished his boyfriend would ask for help instead of doing everything himself, but he knew where he was coming from. He knew how much he'd fought with Batman and then against Batman to avoid being in his shadow. And he knew how alone he'd been and how difficult it was for the other to tell someone he couldn't do it alone and needed help.

Sometimes you can only wish.

Wally gently picked up the sleeping young man in his arms, avoiding waking him, and carried him to his room.

"No, Mom, I have to finish my work for class," his boyfriend murmured in his sleep.

Wally placed him on the mattress and changed him from his superhero costume to pajamas in a flash. He took off his mask and placed it on the nightstand. He tucked the young man into bed and tucked him in.

He smiled as he watched his boyfriend snuggle up in the sheets and smile peacefully.

He kiss his forehead lovingly and whisper, "Goodnight, my love, sweet dreams," before running silently out of the room.

He check the pending work on the table and use my super speed to do it.

He stretch his neck and limbs while looking at the wall clock that read 4 a.m.

He tidy the table and the papers on the floor, then shut down the computer after logging out.

He decided that with everything done, it was a good time to go home and sleep the rest of the night.

He woke up at 9 a.m. and smiled when he saw the text message from my boyfriend that said "I love you. Pancakes to reward you?"

Wally replied "And I love you. I'm in 5" and got out of bed to get dressed and go have breakfast with his boyfriend.

Hopefully, they could spend some time together and Wally could give him those earrings he'd bought a week ago. They were blue crystals and matched his boyfriend's eyes very well. Wally had bought them with his paycheck from a downtown coffee shop in which he works and couldn't wait to see how they looked on his partner.

The sprinter grabbed the earrings and a flower and ran off to see his partner for the second time that day.

Chapter 25: The Batmobile

Chapter Text

"Then let me get this straight," Batman said in a calm, measured voice.

"Okay," his son said.

"You took the Batmobile, crashed it, and got your driver's license revoked," Batman said.

"Yes, but no," Robin said.

An explosion was heard, and Robin took a step away from the ravine.

"It fell off a cliff and exploded. And they still haven't take my driver's license" Robin said as he hacked into the DGT account to reactivate his license with all his points.

"What do you mean, it fell off a cliff?!" Batman asked.

"Yeah, the steering wheel stopped obeying me and went straight into a ravine. Luckily, I managed to open the emergency hatch and get out before I died too," Robin said.

"And now it's on fire, by the way," Robin said, looking at the wreckage.

"Do you know how much it costs to make a Batmobile?" Batman asked angrily.

"You're a billionaire, you have enough money to make 30 Batmobiles," Robin said.

"Maybe I should have jumped off the cliff too," Robin grumbled.

Batman sighed. "I'll ask Alfred to order the parts."

"On it, sir." The butler's voice was heard.

"Are you okay? Do you need me to come get you?" Bruce asked.

"Nah, I'll call Wally, don't worry," Robin said with a smile.

"Okay, please come to the mansion. I won't feel better unless I see with my own eyes that you're okay," Bruce said.

"Understood, dad. I'm going to hang up," Robin said.

And after a quick call and an even quicker trip home, the two young men were in the Batcave infirmary.

"Well, everything looks okay. You're not hurt, dear," Bruce said, affectionately ruffling his son's hair.

"I told you, Dad," Robin said with a smile before jumping off the stretcher.

"I still don't know how you didn't get your driver's license revoked" Wally said.

"Because I'm a hacker, honey" Dick said, winking at him.

"True" Wally said, remembering his boyfriend's computer skills.

"I hope you'll let Alfred give you driving lessons again," Bruce said.

"Do you want me to give Alfred a heart attack?" Dick asked, amused.

"No, I want him to correct you when you decide it's a good idea to go 200 km/h on an 80 km/h highway" Bruce said.

Robin shrugged.

"Are you staying for lunch?" Bruce asked.

"Yeah," Dick said with a smile.

"If you're offering like that, of course I'll go," Wally said with a smile.

Chapter 26: Tim

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

"If you're going in, take off your muddy boots," Dick said without turning to look at the person entering.

Wally was sitting quietly on the couch with his lover when a child jumped up and fell right into his lap. "Ouch, my parts," he said, squeezing Robin's shoulder to cope with the pain.

"Well, you left him without the possibility of having children," Robin said, amused.

"Sorry, Wally," Tim said with an apologetic smile.

"Don't worry, I'll be back in a few minutes," Wally said, trying to give him a reassuring smile, but it came out as a grimace.

The two brothers looked at each other in concern.

"Are you sure you're okay, honey?" Dick asked.

Wally passed the child to his boyfriend and said, "I will be."

Tim smiled apologetically again, and Wally waved him off.

The two left Wally to recover at his own pace.

"It's not that I don't want you here, Tim, but..." Dick began.

"What are you doing here?" Wally finished for him.

"I'm bored at the mansion, and Bruce says I'm bothering him with my nervousness, so he sent me here," Tim said.

"Bruce's always telling his kids to fuck off," Dick said, frowning.

Wally recovered and snuggled up to his boyfriend again, with Tim on Dick's lap.

"What were you doing?" Tim asked, smiling as he snuggled up to them both.

"Watching a movie," Dick said.

"What's it about?" Tim asked, watching dinosaurs on the screen.

"About a man who turns into a dinosaur and has to survive in the Cretaceous," Wally said.

"Interesting," Tim said.

Half an hour later:

"I don't get it. He just needs to get that crystal, which he could have gotten half an hour ago, but he's too stupid to do it." Tim said.

"And now he's dying," Wally said, looking at the screen where the guy actually died.

"Will you all stop criticizing and watch the movie?" Dick said, frowning at them both.

"No," they both said with identical smiles.

Robin shook his head, and the three of them watched the movie for another half hour until it was over.

"I don't understand. It could have all been faster if the kid was a little smarter," Tim said, accompanying the two adults to the kitchen.

"Sometimes stress makes us stupid," Wally said.

"Like that time your solution to being trapped in a burning building was to throw myself out the window?" Dick asked.

"Yeah," Wally said.

"That's stupid. The glass, the explosion, or the fall could have killed him," Tim said, frowning.

"Yeah, well, I mean," Wally began to mutter, "it worked in the end."

"Because you were lucky. You almost died of smoke poisoning before you caught me," Dick said.

"But I didn't," Wally said with a smile.

"By the way, where's your gear?" Tim asked as they ate a sandwich Wally had handed him at the counter.

"Over there," Dick said.

"Hopefully, destroying some property and not bothering us," Wally said, taking a bite of his sandwich.

"Starfire and Raven went to the beauty salon, Cyborg is on a date with Jinx, and Beast Boy is out with his animal friends enjoying the rat life," Dick said.

"Oh," Tim said.

"Well, I hope we can get out without the city going to hell," Wally said.

"Don't jinx it," Dick said.

"I'm not jinxing it," Wally said.

"So, are you guys planning on doing anything else?" Tim asked.

"We were thinking of just going for a walk around the city and seeing what's out there," Dick said.

"Want to join us?" Wally asked.

"I don't have anything better to do," Tim shrugged.

45 minutes later.

"Do we have everything?" Dick asked.

"Yes, honey, you've already checked three times. We're all set," Wally said with a smile.

"Have you been to the bathroom?" Dick asked.

"Yes," Tim and Wally said.

"Okay, let's go then," Dick said with a smile.

"Finally," Tim and Wally said, relieved.

15 minutes later, the three of them were walking around the city, enjoying a pleasant stroll.

"Where do you want to go?" Dick asked.

"Bowling?" Wally asked.

"Umm," Tim said, frowning.

"Escape room?" Dick said.

"Do we have an escape room in Jump City?" Wally asked, curious.

"We're too smart for that," Tim said.

"How about going to a cafe for a drink?" Wally asked.

"Coffee always works for me," Tim said.

"Sure, kid," Dick said with a smile, ruffling the boy's hair.

Tim groaned and started putting his hair back in its proper place.

The three of them walked into a coffee shop and sat at a table in the corner.

They ordered drinks and snacks and waited for their orders.

"Well, I hope everything's going well at home, Tim," Dick said, looking at his little brother through his coffee.

"Same as always. Bruce's doing his thing and going on missions. Cass says hi, by the way," Tim said.

"That's sweet, say hi to her for me," Dick said, smiling at him.

"Jason and Damian say hi, Wally," Tim said.

Wally gulped nervously. "That's sweet of them."

Dick squeezed his hand, and Wally smiled at him.

"Barbara says you should call her more often," Tim said, looking at Richard.

"Honestly, I should meet up with her one of these days," Dick said thoughtfully.

"Do it Wednesday, you're free," Wally said.

"And Duke says he's thinking about changing the light bulbs in the mansion to disco lights," Tim said.

"Tell him I fully support his idea," Dick said with an amused smile.

The three of them continued chatting and having drinks for the rest of the afternoon until nightfall, and they decided it was time to go back.

"You really don't mind if I sleep over?" Tim asked from the guest bed.

"We have plenty of free rooms, Tim," Wally said.

"And I already told Bruce, he'll be coming for you tomorrow. Rest comfortably today," Dick said before kissing his goodnight on the forehead.

"Rest well," Wally said before turning off the light. They both went to their rooms to sleep as well.

Notes:

I wrote this in the morning while I was at the therapist, which I didn't go to because she gave me the wrong appointment. I then continued it while heading to the funeral of a friend's father and finished it the next day after having an emotional conversation with a friend.

It's true that the life of a fanfic author is very strange. I've never had so many things happen to me in one day before.

Chapter 27: That princess is in another castle

Chapter Text

"What's that sound?" Robin said.

"That...is...music?" Beast Boy said.

"I think it's coming from outside," Cyborg said.

The Titans opened the terrace door and looked outside.

"Is that Kid Flash with a band?" Raven asked.

"I think it's the Titans East," Star said.

"I always hid what I feel from you." Kid Flash began to sing while the others played their instruments.

"What's that idiot doing?" Robin asked.

"Sing," Raven answered.

"And now I know why I always hated your princess." Kid Flash sang, pointing at Starfire.

"Wait, does Kid Flash dislike me? Since when?" Starfire said

"For a while," Cyborg said

"Haven't you noticed he's been avoiding you lately," Beast Boy said

"I've missed you after every fight," Kid Flash said

All the Titans look at Robin, who crosses his arms, but a slight blush can be seen around the outline of his mask of dominance

"And now I'll look for you," Kid Flash said with a smile and a wink

Kid Flash points to Starfire. "Sorry, she's in another castle." He then points to Robin and says, "And she's not going to worry about you."

"I've solved your puzzle," Kid Flash said with a smile upon seeing the other's angry expression.

"She's not here, and I'm right here," Kid Flash said with a giant smile on his face.

"He's right, we all knew Starfire didn't love you, my friend," Beast Boy said.

"And even though Kid Flash makes you angry, he's actually been there for many important moments in your life" Cyborg said

"She's very focused on elegance" Kid Flash points to Starfire

"She'll want a prince, not you" Kid Flash points to Speedy

Speedy winks at Star, and she laughs with a blush on her face.

"That princess is in another castle" Kid Flash said, giving Robin a soft look.

"And I'm here"

Robin sighs and closes his eyes as he shakes his head.

The Titans East play their instruments while everyone continues to watch this public confession.

"Sorry, she's in another castle" Kid Flash sang

Starfire flew to Speedy's side and kissed him on the cheek while he smiled at her and continued playing the drums.

"And she won't worry about you" Kid Flash said

Robin sighed and leaned on the terrace railing

"I've solved your puzzle" Kid Flash sang

"She's not here, and I am" Kid Flash said, taking a bouquet of flowers out of his back

"Do you want me to repeat that?" Kid Flash said with a smile as he threw the flowers to Robin, who caught them in mid-air.

"She's very focused on elegance. She'll want a prince, not you. That princess is in another castle. And I'm here" Kid Flash sang

Robin looked between the bouquet of flowers and the boy who was confessing his feelings with a song on his lawn

"I'm here" Kid Flash said with his eyes closed

Robin grabbed the railing and started to go down

"I'm here" Kid Flash said, still with his eyes closed

Robin jumped onto the lawn when he was at a good height and ran across the garden with a smile on his face

"I'm here" Kid Flash sang without opening his eyes

Robin approached him

"I'm here" Kid Flash said, opening his eyes to find Robin in front of him

Robin took the microphone from him, threw him to the ground, and kissed him.

Kid Flash smiled and laughed when they separated.

The two idiots started laughing, lying on the grass

"Did you just sing in the garden just to get a kiss?" Robin asked

"It was worth it" Kid Flash said with a smile, kissing the younger boy's forehead.

Chapter 28: The electric baton

Chapter Text

Batman was giving a boring lecture at League headquarters about the new security measures that had been implemented when the door to the room opened, revealing a young man with black hair, a Dominion mask, and a green, red, and yellow suit carrying a fainted redhead dressed in a red and yellow suit.

"Hey Dad, I know we're not getting along right now, but that idiot scared me, and I hit him with the electric part of my baton, and his heart stopped. I tried shocking him again, but he didn't wake up. You don't have something to wake him up, do you?" Robin explained hastily.

As Batman sighed resignedly,

"Is that my nephew?" Flash asked.

"Isn't that your old partner?" Wonder Woman asked.

"Did you call him dad?" Superman asked.

"Yeah, now, help?" Robin said, looking nervously at his father "I don't dislike him enough to leave him for dead."

Batman sighed again, but with a swipe of his cape, he started walking "Let's go"

The League watched as Batman and the boy left.

"Flash, do you have a nephew?" Superman asked.

"Yes, I've talked about him many times," Flash said.

"I didn't know your nephew was a superhero," Wonder Woman said.

"He trained at Central, but he left for Jump City a few years ago," Flash said.

"I didn't know Robin had moved," Superman said.

"Robin moved?" Wonder Woman asked.

"From Gotham to Jump City, apparently," Superman said.

"No one says anything about Robin calling Batman dad," Green Lantern said.

"Well, Robin was a child when he started. It would make sense," Flash said thoughtfully.

"But Batman's son?" Green Lantern said.

"Shouldn't we give the children to Batman, since he apparently knows how to calm them down in times of crisis?" Superman asked.

"Yes, but knowing how to calm a child isn't the same as knowing how to raise one" Flash said.

While in the League's infirmary, two children and an adult were quite busy.

"AED" Batman said, and Robin handed him the instrument.

They both watched the shock and how the machine told them to start compressions.

"Robin uses the ambu bag while I take care of the compressions," Batman said, handing the breathing apparatus to the boy.

The two did a mental count of 30 compressions and two breaths in perfect synchrony while they waited for the boy to revive or for the AED to tell them to stop.

And after a few long minutes, the boy finally opened his eyes and looked confused at Batman and Robin's worried expressions.

The Bat and the acrobat high-fived each other and smiled before looking away, embarrassed.

Batman cleared his throat and looked at the speedster with a neutral expression "I hope this teaches you not to sneak up on my son"

"Yes, sir" Kid Flash said, taking off the ambu bag and quickly leaving the infirmary to see his uncle.

"Did you call me your son?" Robin asked.

Batman looked at the young man he had watched grow from 8 to 16 and put his bitchy face to rest to block the entrance and remotely turn off the cameras before removing his hood and looking at the boy with an apologetic expression.

"I'm sorry, dear. I'm sorry for yelling at you and telling you that you were nothing to me. You're my greatest pride and I should say it more. I didn't want to turn you into a rich daddy's boy and I preferred a heavy hand to the loving upbringing you had. I know it was hard to change your environment at first and that I didn't make it easy for you over the years, but if you let me, I'd like to improve, not only as a father but as a mentor. I know an apology doesn't fix the traumas I gave you, but I'd like to try to mend them if you'd let me" Bruce said.

"Dad" Dick said with a sobbing voice and tears in his eyes.

"Oh, chum" Bruce said, pulling his son into a hug.

"I'm sorry, I was a bad son. I gave you so many problems, I'm so sorry Dad" Dick said through tears.

"Shh, shh, no darling, no, you were a fantastic son. I didn't know how to be a father. Many of those problems were caused by my fault. I'm sorry my son" Bruce said, hugging Dick tightly.

The two of them remained crying and hugging on the floor of the infirmary.

"Dad."

"Yes"

"I'm sorry I ran away."

"You needed your space, sweetheart, but a phone call would have been nice."

"Can I come over for lunch on Monday?"

"You can come back anytime, Dick. The mansion will always be your home."

"Thank you."

"I love you, I hope you know that."

"I love you too."

The two of them stayed where they were, enjoying the memory of each other and having taken the first step toward reconciliation.

Chapter 29: Robin is sick

Chapter Text

Robin was in bed. His head ached, and opening his eyes was painful.

The darkness helped, but suddenly the lights came on, and Robin whimpered in disgust.

"Dad?"

"No, it's Wally" Kid Flash said, looking at his lover in pain on the bed.

"Love, the Titans called. They were worried" Wally said, placing a hand on Robin's forehead.

Dick leaned into the other's cool touch, which said something because of the two of them, Wally was always the one who was warm.

Dick whimpered again as he snuggled into the blankets and called for his father.

---

Bruce Wayne was in a very important meeting when someone called him on his emergency number.

He apologized to the people in the meeting and walked out into the hallway, entering an empty room.

"Someone better be dead," Bruce said.

"Hi to you too father-in-law. How are you?" Wally said sarcastically.

"Wallace, what do you want?" Bruce wondering why his son's boyfriend had called him on the emergency line.

"DAD!" A pitiful whimper was heard in the background, and Bruce went into detective mode.

"What's going on? Where's my son? Is he okay? I'll kill you if he's not okay, Wallace" Bruce said, his voice concerned but somber at the same time.

"Robs is sick. He won't take his medicine unless you give it to him. So bring your disgusting ass back to the tower, or I'll come get you" Wally said in an authoritative tone.

He could reprimand him later, but for now, all Wally cared about was making his boyfriend feel better. And if getting Batman would do it, Wally had no qualms about playing dirty.

"Dad, my head hurts. Can you kiss it and make it feel better? And cherries, I want cherries," Robin said, pouting in a way that only Wally could see.

"My love, it's not time for... Whatever, I'll get your cherries, honey. Just try to get some sleep until your dad gets here, okay?" Wally said in a sweet voice before switching to a sharp voice and saying to Bruce on the phone, "Or you come now or I'll kidnap your son and take him to the Maldives for three years"

Wally hung up, and Bruce stared at a wall, bewildered but smiling.

His son-in-law could stay with the family; he was going to take good care of Dick.

Now it was his turn to help. He sent a message to Alfred to pick up some things and then wait for him downstairs while he took care of finishing up this meeting.

"Sorry, gentlemen, we'll have to discuss this another time. I just found out my son is sick," Bruce said

"Are you going to leave all this for your son?" One of the suited men said in disbelief.

"Yes" Bruce said simply, closing the briefcase on the table.

---

Robin was asleep when Batman softly entered his room.

He had to snarl at his son's nosy friends.

He wasn't here to answer questions; he was here to take care of his tot.

He walked through the door and navigated the room with his night vision goggles.

He saw a note on the nightstand and picked it up to read it.

"I already gave him medicine. Your son is just as stubborn as you. Now shower him with love and affection and see if you can get him to sleep through the night. He needs to take more medicine in the morning. The bottle is in the refrigerator; it's the blue glass bottle on the very top shelf."

P.S. If he dies, they won't find your body, Bruce-

Well, at least he could say he had a protective son-in-law and that his child was going to be in good hands.

Speaking of his child, he had approached his lap while the other read the letter.

"Dad?" A sleepy voice asked.

"Hey, honey. Go back to sleep. Dad's here now, okay?" Bruce said softly as he maneuvered his son so he was leaning against him and not on his knees.

"You're not leaving in the morning, are you?" Dick asked, narrowing his eyes.

"I'm not going anywhere, my son," Bruce said with a smile before running his fingers through Dick's hair and humming a lullaby softly.

Soon, his arms were full of a sleeping child, and he smiled.

---

When Dick woke up, he thought it had all been a hallucination, but no. He opened his eyes and there was Bruce in all his early morning glory, mouth open and one hand on Dick's waist to stop him from falling.

Dick smiled and said softly "For once, he kept his promise" before snuggling back into his father's arms and going back to sleep

Later, around 12 noon, the two would get up and go to the kitchen, and Dick would take his medicine before enjoying the hot chocolate and syrup on the pancakes his father had made him

Chapter 30: earrings

Chapter Text

"Hey" Tim said, entering the room "Which ones are better?"

Dick, who was sitting on the couch, looked at the objects his little brother was holding

He had two pairs of earrings, one sapphire and one diamond

"What are they for?" Dick asked

"I want to give a pair to my boyfriend" Tim said

"Is it an anniversary?" Dick asked

"No" Tim said

"Wedding? A special date?" Dick said

"No, just a gift" Tim said

"Sapphires" Dick said "Can I have the diamond ones?"

Tim tossed the diamond earrings to his older brother, who slipped them on his ears with a smile.

"You've been buying your boyfriend a lot of things lately. You look like his sugar daddy" Dick said thoughtfully

"You buy Wally expensive things all the time" Tim said

"Touche, but technically speaking, the one paying is usually older than the one receiving, so I'm just his rich boyfriend" Dick said with a smile

"Do you trade money for sex?" Jason said as he continued looking at a picture of a ruby-studded bow and arrow pendant "Because I've seen you pay for entire meals for your boyfriend, and speedsters don't eat cheap"

"Now that I think about it, Bruce used to give me expensive gifts just so I'd stop crying and smile, and he tends to send apology gifts instead of apologizing in person when we argue" Dick said "Last time, he paid for the tower's new security system after I argued with him about my time out of town"

"Ugh, don't bring the old man into this conversation" Jason said, annoyed

"What are all of you boyfriends' sugar daddies?" Cassandra asked, emerging from the shadows.

"It seems so" Stephanie answered, entering the room.

"You're not far behind, you pay Steph things" Tim said, looking at Cassandra.

"I mean, if they have money, they should use it" Barbara said, entering the room as Bruce pushed his wheelchair.

"And with the money we have, anyone would want to be our sugar baby, so at least choose someone who won't go straight for the inheritance" Bruce said

"How are you with Mom?" Damian asked, climbing down from the lamp where he was hiding

"Your mother chased me because of my beautiful face" Bruce said with a smile

"I'm out of here before I throw up" Dick said, getting up from the couch

"Richard!" Bruce told him

"Nope, love your partners all you want, I'll go with mine" Dick said with a smile before leaving the living room and heading to the front door where Wally was waiting for him, he texted him earlier.

"Nice earrings" Wally said when he saw him

"Thanks" Dick said with a smile

Chapter Text

"Bruce, Bruce, Bruce, Bruce," Wally said repeatedly as he ran into the Major's office.

"Wally, for the last time, NO, you can't date my son" Bruce Wayne said, rubbing the bridge of his nose irritably.

"First, I'd be a better son-in-law than that alien who doesn't give a damn about your son, and second, that's not why I'm here" Wally said, glaring at his father-in-law.

"Then why are you here?" Bruce asked.

"The Titans are planning to dress up as Dick's parents tomorrow on April Fool's Day and play a prank on Robs" Wally said, his face showing concern.

Batman pressed a button and said, "Alfred, get the jet ready."

"Okay, Wally. I'm giving you one chance to ask my son out on a date. You screw up and I'll cut you to pieces. Also, if he says no, you'll back out and won't bother him or me anymore." The man said, looking at the young speedster.

Wally lit up as if he'd been told he was going to be paid for his four-year degree.

"Thanks, father-in-law. You won't regret it" Wally said, smiling at him before speeding off.

"I already regret it, but hey, saving my little one is more important" Bruce said, getting up from his desk.

Robin had opened the door, surprised that someone would ring his bell so early in the morning, only to find the Surprised to find that the person standing in the doorway was his father.

"Dad?" Robin asked, puzzled as to what the man was doing there.

"Grab your things, we're leaving" Batman said, arms crossed.

"What? Where? Why?" Robin asked, puzzled.

"Home" Batman said "You've been with these inept people too long"

Robin raised an eyebrow at the man.

Bruce gently placed his hands on his son's shoulders and bent down to be at eye level with the other.

"They're mean to you. They don't listen to you, they don't learn from their mistakes. They only know how to slack off and hit villains. At least I investigate mine before hitting them. They already played a prank on your parents and are planning another. It's time for you to change teams, and I have the perfect new team for you" Batman said with a smile "Besides, it's closer to home"

"I know you want to prove that you are someone outside of me, my shadow, and my legacy. I see it, son. I see how special you are. I'm not your enemy. I'm a concerned father who wants to right the wrongs of the past and get his son back. And to do that, I need to get you out of this toxic environment. You don't even have to come back to the mansion with me. Your new team has a place where you can stay, but please walk me home just for today, just to put my mind at ease. I don't want what happened last year to happen again" Batman said.

"The Titans...are planning...a prank...on...Mom and Dad" Robin said

"Yeah, sorry, honey" Batman said softly

"Wait, you said new team" Robin said, looking his father up and down

"You'll love it, plus Wallace is there" Batman said.

Bruce didn't miss the smile Robin showed when he heard his best friend's name and the way his cheekbones reddened slightly.

He was willing to bet money that his blue eyes would have sparkled if he weren't wearing his dominance mask.

Robin looked from the tower to his father and sighed.

"I'll pack my bags"

Batman smiled as he watched his son re-enter the building.

He had apologized, retrieved his son, and was taking him home. All in one afternoon.

"Is that all?" He asked, looking at all the boxes his son had packed into the jet.

"Yes" Robin said with a smile as he sat in the passenger seat and fastened his seatbelt.

In no time, they were in Gotham.

Richard looked back at the Batcave; it had been a long time since he'd been here.

"You know where your room is. Alfred has it ready. You can go drop your things off and change if you want. We'll go to the cemetery after you get something to eat, and we'll stop to buy some flowers" Batman said.

Dick headed for the staircase that would take him up to the mansion. At the first few steps, he stopped and looked back "Bruce"

"Yes?" the man asked, turning to see his son.

"Thank you" Richard said before climbing the steps.

Batman smiled.

His child may be growing up, but he was still his, and he was going to protect him even when he was angry with him.

Notes:

Yes, the new team is Young Justice.

Chapter 32: Bite + Mom

Chapter Text

It was nighttime, and Robin was enjoying a movie with his boyfriend on the couch.

They were both wearing pajamas and covered with a blanket.

"I don't understand. Stephanie should stay with Ravar, not Tomas. Ravar was there for her when Tomas left her for Sara. Ravar got her out of her depression, and Ravar supported her every step of the way, even though Tomas didn't seem right to her. Besides, they have more chemistry. Why don't they make lesbian movies? What's the point in making everything straight?" Kid Flash said, annoyed, complaining and pointing at the screen.

"Right, Robin?" Kid asked as he continued watching the movie.

Robin had only half-heard his boyfriend's complaint, and he didn't even know where he'd left off because he was too busy staring at his partner's exposed shoulder.

The collar of his pajamas had lowered slightly, revealing the speedster's tanned skin. That succulent piece of meat that was calling to him.

"Robin?" Kid Flash asked, turning his head to look at his partner.

That turn had brought the redhead's shoulder closer to the black-haired boy's mouth, and Robin bit him without thinking.

Kid Flash blinked, somewhat bewildered at first, since Robin was still sinking his teeth into him.

But after a few seconds, the boy's head snapped up and his cheeks began to blush as Robin looked around, although Kid Flash couldn't see the frantic movements of Robin's eyes, since he still had the dominance mask on.

Kid Flash smirked as he watched Robin open and close his mouth without saying a word.

"So... was the meat tasty?" the speedster asked, noticing how the bite was slowly fading thanks to his accelerated healing.

Robin pouted, both because his boyfriend was messing with him and because the bite had already disappeared.

"I wonder if breaking a vein would last longer?" It slipped out of Robin's mind because the disappointment of the bite going away and not staying the same as when he bit Bruce on the wrist was far greater than the shame he felt for having bitten someone after so long holding back the urge.

He knew that biting people wasn't normal, and many found it degrading, like the Gotham elite or the newspapers when he had accidentally bitten one of his father's fingers as a thank you for being able to leave much earlier than planned.

It had been in every newspaper in the city the next day.

Uneducated circus boy bites the millionaire who took him in like a dog.

Bruce and Alfred had explained that they didn't mind being bitten, but Richard was unsure if they really wanted it to or simply pleased him, so he only bit them when he had a really strong urge to show them he loved them, and words weren't enough.

He had bitten Jason a few times before his death, but it had been more to make him angry than out of love and now he hadn't bitten anyone for years.

Until now, of course.

And when he got the impulse, he was asking himself too many questions, like:

If the marks fade quickly, does that mean I can make more marks?

If I bite deeply, does it take longer to heal?

Does he think it's weird that I bite? Disgusting?

Is he going to break up with me because of this?

Wally lifted the young man's head when he began to notice sadness in the air.

Don't ask how he knew.

He simply had a superpower to know when his lover was sad.

"Okay, first, that was unexpected. Second, since when do you bite? Third, please don't break a vein in my neck. But yes, if you bite harder, it takes longer to go away, just like hickeys, honey" said Kid Flash.

Robin looked at him appraisingly, seeing if he could be honest with him or if he was going to laugh in his face later.

Kid Flash smiled calmly at him and gave him space to collect his thoughts.

Robin opened his mouth to say "I like to bite people to show my affection, but people started looking at me like I was a freak when I did it, so I stopped. Does that seem weird to you? Uncomfortable? Do you want to leave me and go, or can I bite you again? Because I would really love to see teeth marks on your neck and continue there in the morning" "Tomorrow."

Kid Flash smiled. "Somehow, that doesn't surprise me. You're not a freak." He kissed his forehead. "Everyone shows affection in different ways. Some kiss, others spend time together, tell each other how much they love each other, or bite each other."

"I don't mind if you bite me again, do it as hard as you want. That way I can tell Barry I got bitten by a bat," Kid Flash said, amused.

Robin smiled, and almost as if he were the one with super speed and not the redhead, he removed his mask of dominance from his eyes. In less than a second, he was already biting the boy's collarbone hard.

Instead of showing up tomorrow with a hickey, he was going to show up with teeth marks on his neck at his uncle's house, but judging by the gleam in Robin's eyes as he looked at the dark bite on his neck. It had been worth it, and in the process, he had learned something new from his favorite boy.

~~Author's Note~~

Enough, I'm 907 words in here alone, and I thought the biting part wouldn't be enough, so I added the mother part 😭😭

Technically, Raven was going to show up to interrupt them due to a nightmare in the middle of this, but I later scrapped it so the two lovebirds could have a heart-to-heart talk

P.S. I assure you, biting people is a love language because I do it to my family all the time, but Robin was luckier than me. My family complains, but Wally doesn't 😢😢😔😔

---

It wasn't unusual for Titans to sometimes find themselves in their rooms without going out.

The strange thing was for one to stay in their room for five days straight without going out even once.

"I've been leaving him dishes, but he doesn't want to come out," Cyborg said.

"He hasn't come out, not even with the promise of seeing my legs," Raven said.

"You need to talk to him, Robin," Starfire said.

That was what had led the raven-haired boy to knock on Beast Boy's room door.

"Beast Boy?"

When he didn't get a reply, he said "We're worried about you. May I come in?"

No one answered, and Robin sighed "I'm going in"

He activated the code that allowed him to enter each room. He had set it up in case something happened to anyone, and the door was locked. Just like Beast Boy's had been a few seconds ago.

The door closed again when Robin entered, leaving the place plunged into darkness. The only light came from a nightlight that cast a dim, warm yellow light.

Robin approached the lump on the bed.

A green wolf was curled up, tears in his eyes, and he looked sadly at Robin.

"Oh, dear" the young man said, sitting down on the bed.

The wolf rested his head on Robin's lap, and the raven-haired man began to run his fingers through the fur, trying to comfort the animal.

"Little beast, I know it won't help at all, but Terra didn't love you. She hit you, insulted you, and didn't want you, little one" Robin said.

Beast Boy transformed back into himself and looked at Robin with tears in his eyes.

"Why? Why didn't she love me? I treated her well, I gave her flowers, I told her how much I loved her" Beast Boy said.

Robin hesitated, but looked at the young man's sad expression and sighed.

"Sometimes people just approach you to get something out of you, in this case information. She wasn't looking to love you Beast Boy, she simply wanted the information you had, and seeing how you were eating out of the palm of her hand, she saw the perfect opportunity to use you. I'm sure there's someone perfect for you in this big wide world; you just have to find them, kid" Robin said.

"And in the meantime, you have us. We're your family, Beast Boy, and we're not leaving you behind" Robin said with a smile, running her fingers through the young man's green hair.

Arms around his waist made him smile.

"Thanks, Mom"

Robin blinked, but quickly recovered from the shock and smiled tenderly "You're welcome, honey"

Chapter 33: Messages and Messages

Chapter Text

Batman: I'm going to need someone more knowledgeable on the subject for this.

*Batman introduced Robin to the chat*

Robin: This better be important, B. I was in the middle of something.

Batman: You can continue fucking Kid Flash later. I need you to look at what I sent you and give us access to the files.

Flash: You said Kid Flash?

Robin: I should start charging for being a hacker.

Batman: Are you coming to dinner on Thursday?

Robin: Can I bring Wally?

Flash: Wally?

Batman: Only if you tell Alfred.

Robin: I will. 😸 By the way, I already sent you the files.

Batman: Great.

Robin: Now, don't bother us until tomorrow. @Flash Barry, I'm going to make your son unable to walk. Bring the wheelchair when you come for him tomorrow.

*Robin kicked himself out of the chat*

Green Lantern: Who was that? He's my new idol.

Batman: My son.

Chapter 34: Me and my obsession with putting women's clothing on men

Chapter Text

"Kf"

"Yeah?" Wally asked, looking at his computer where he was working on the project that cost more than half of the class's grade.

"Kid Flash"

"What?" Wally asked, still staring at the computer.

"Wally"

"What's wrong?" Wally was going to have to turn around or something.

"Wallace"

"Honey, can't you just tell me what's going on instead of repeating my name all the time?" Wally asked before turning around in his desk chair.

"How do I look? Do I look okay?" Dick asked with a grin.

The speedster's jaw dropped.

"Is it too much?" Richard asked, somewhat uncertain "Are the earrings excessive?"

Wally's boyfriend, as Kid Flash liked that word, was dressed in a long-sleeved white blouse, a black pleated skirt with some chains hanging from it, black-painted nails, and blue diamond earrings, along with black ballet flats and white high stockings.

"You know what, I think I better get changed" Robin said

A gust of wind later, he was in his boyfriend's arms, and he was looking at him with a frown

"Don't even think about it" Kid Flash told him "You're so damn gorgeous"

"I don't know whether to fuck off this afternoon with friends and throw you on the bed so I can take off your socks with my teeth, or let you walk around the house like that just so I can admire such beauty every time you walk past me on the couch" Wally said

Dick laughed and asked "So you like it?"

"I love it, angel. You look gorgeous" Wally said with a smile

"I don't know. Is this appropriate clothing for going out to see our friends? You know I get teased enough on a daily basis" Dick said

"If anyone laughs, I'm going to punch them and then leave them in a bear cage covered in honey" Wally said with a serious expression on his face

Robin smiled delightedly "That's why I love you"

"And I love you, love" Wally said back

"I didn't interrupt your project, did I?" Dick asked, looking at his computer with a half-written Word document

"Yes, you did, but it was a good distraction. I can finish it later. Let's go for a walk" Wally said

"Now?" Dick asked, puzzled, as Wally walked down the stairs with him still in his arms

"Yeah, now, so you'll feel more confident later when we go to the tower" Wally said, gently placing Dick on the couch and then going to get his shoes.

"Well, if you say so" Dick said

"Yeah, I said so" Wally said, wearing a jacket and holding his house keys.

The walk was pleasant and entertaining. They entered a cafe where the cashier praised Robin's wardrobe choices and offered them free coffee, arguing that more men should wear skirts and more women should wear suits

When they arrived at the tower at 5 p.m., they received mixed reactions

Disbelief, smiles, bewilderment, astonishment, and the occasional raised eyebrow. But for Robin's benefit, no one laughed or looked at him unpleasantly, not like that old man in the park who started insulting him once they walked past him. A little further and he ends up in a lion cage. Robin had to grab Kid Flash to get him to leave the old man alone. He did get a few good punches, though.

"Wow, Robin, I love your new outfit" Bumblebee said

"Thanks, Bumble" Robin said with a smile

"It looks great on you" Star said

"Black's your color" Raven said

"You're balls-out" Speedy said

"I don't see any hickeys. Has Kid Flash bit you yet?" Aqualad asked

"Well, it's different" Beast Boy said

"At least he has more clothes than that spandex suit" Cyborg said

"Yeah, yeah, very funny, Garth. I liked you better when you were innocent" Kid Flash said

"And I liked you when you weren't sleeping with my friend" Aqualad said with a smile

"Kids, please" Robin said, shaking his head.

"Okay, Monopoly?" Speedy said, taking out the board game

"I think I'm going to win" Starfire said, grabbing her favorite chip

"This is going to be a disaster" Bumblebee said

"A fun disaster" Robin said, sitting on the floor. Unlike what Speedy said, he was wearing shorts under his skirt, so his balls weren't hanging out

"Hope they don't break any more windows" Kid Flash said

"What does it matter if we don't pay for them?" Cyborg said

"Courtesy of the Dark Knight" Beast Boy said

"Long live our sugar daddy" Raven said

"Yeah" Starfire said

"For the hundredth time, Batman isn't your sugar daddy" Robin said "He's just an investor with a lot of money"

"Sugar daddy" the four said

"For that, he'd have to fuck someone in the group" Robin said, organizing his money.

"Who says he doesn't?" Beast Boy said amusedly

"Ugh, please keep the mental images of my dad fucking my friends away from me. You're too young. I don't give a shit that you're a demon, raven, still too young" Robin said, frowning at her best friend, whose mouth was open and ready to speak

"Bruce is fucking who?" Donna asked, entering the elevator

"No one" Robin shouted "Hello, darling"

"Hey, handsome, nice skirt. Do you think I can get away with fucking you in the kitchen before your boyfriend does?" Donna asked, sitting between Raven and Starfire.

"Only if you take me to the stars" Robin replied, winking at her

"Oh, baby, I'll make you see the Milky Way" Donna said with a smile

"If it weren't for the fact that I know it's all just hot air and you're worse flirts than me, I'd be terribly jealous right now" Kid Flash said, grabbing the dice.

The two Wonder Twins laughed, and the game began.

Chapter 35: The hair dye

Chapter Text

"Do you know what day it is today?" Starfire asked at breakfast.

"March 20th?" Cyborg said.

"No, April 1st," Starfire said.

"April Fool's Day?" Beast Boy asked.

"And do you know who's sleeping in his room?" Starfire said with a mischievous smile.

The three of them started laughing like crazy; it was a surprise they didn't wake anyone up.

---

Robin woke up, his spirits a little low. Today was April 1st. The anniversary of his parents' death.

Robin had hoped for a quiet day and to be able to visit his parents' grave in peace.

He must have remembered that today was also April Fool's Day.

When he left his room, he slipped on the wet hallway floor to the entrance of the living room, where a bucket of red dye fell on him, soaking his clothes and face.

"No, no, what the fuck was that?" Starfire asked, "The dye was supposed to fall on his head while he was walking, not slip because it's wet"

"Who scrubbed?, and why is there so much dye in that bucket?" Starfire shouted "We said sufficient to dye your hair red, not to bathe it in it"

"Sorry, I went too far when I poured it" Beast Boy said

"I scrubbed. The hallway was a mess" Cyborg said, appearing around the corner with a mop and bucket

Robin blinked, bewildered, inside the metal bucket.

Starfire sighed and shook her head before carefully taking the bucket from her leader.

"We're sorry, Robin. This was supposed to be a fun prank, not this mess"

"Well, at least you didn't harm me physically or mentally" Robin said

"We apologize for the prank last year" Beast Boy said before turning into an elephant and bathing Robin in soapy water

Cyborg began scrubbing the red water stains off the floor "At least red looks good on you"

"Now you can compete with Kid Flash at that too" Starfire said, passing him a towel.

"To see who has the most dyed red hair?" Robin asked, laughing.

"For your information, I'm a natural redhead" said a voice to his left

"Naturally dyed" Robin replied

"Dyed, my balls" said Kid Flash

"Those too" said Robin

"Shut up, spoiled brat, before I smack you" said Kid Flash

"Deal with health insurance on your own, then" Robin told him

"Why is the hallway red?" Raven asked, appearing out of nowhere.

"Because the prank we planned didn't go as planned" said Cyborg.

"Uh" said Raven, looking at Robin, who continued to drip red dye.

With a snap of the demon's fingers, Robin's head dried.

"Thanks, Rav. Can't you do anything about the color?" Robin asked

"Nope, I like it" Raven said.

"Please tell me I look horrible" Robin said, looking at Kid Flash

"I thought you'd look worse, but red looks good on you. It's different, but it gives you an Ariel look" Kid Flash said

"Thanks, wonderful boyfriend that I hate" Robin said, arms crossed

"You're welcome" Kid Flash said with a smile on his face

Chapter 36: Friendship

Chapter Text

"Bitch, your mother likes me more than you" Robin told him

"That's not true" Kid Flash said

"Who was on whose side?" Robin said with a shit-eating grin "Because I remember Iris still loving me even when we were fighting, but she didn't like you"

"You're lying" Kid Flash said, arms crossed.

"She even invited me to have tea with her" Robin said with a smirk "We pummeled you with criticims"

"My own mother betrayed me" Kid Flash said, a pout forming on his lips.

"Ahhh, what the fuck is that?" Robin asked, jumping into the speedster's arms, pointing at an orange and black thing.

Kid Flash grabbed the young man who had suddenly jumped out and looked at the thing "What the fuck?"

The Titans entered, surprised by their leader's scream, and looked at the living creature.

"Awww, your first friendship," Starfire said.

"My first what?" Robin said.

"What did you name that thing?" Kid Flash asked.

"Friendship" Cyborg said with a smile. "They're hybrid beings that form when a new friendship is created."

"You're kidding me" Robin said, staring at the robot.

"Nope" Cyborg said "There are more living in the tower"

"Friends, come out" Starfire said

And small combinations of the Titans' friendships appeared around the room.

"Have these things been living in the tower the whole time?" Robin asked, still in Kid Flash's arms

"When some friendships were solidified, they appeared" Raven said

"This is weird" Kid Flash said

"Why is this the first time I've seen them?" Robin asked

"Because you didn't have any friends before" Starfire said

"Ideal" Robin said sarcastically

"I told you we should have gone to Central City. This city is too weird" Kid Flash said

"I'm reconsidering" Robin said

"Besides, who doesn't want to start over at a new school?" Kid Flash said with a smile

"Ugh, no. School sucked" Robin said

"That's because you went to Gotham, and to one of those schools for the privileged, spoiled rich" Kid Flash said "There they bully you just for having a penny less"

"Don't remind me" Robin said "What a bunch of shit people"

"Rich people and their stuff" Kid Flash said

The Titans had gotten lost in the middle of their conversation

"Do you know each other?" Cyborg said "Under civilian identity, I mean"

"Yes" they both said

"Really?!" The Titans said, amazed.

"We were best friends until we had a fight like 2 years ago and then we made up 3 months ago" Robin said

"I've known this dwarf for a long time" Kid Flash said with a smile

"Bitch" Robin told him

"Woof woof" Kid Flash said.

"I said bitch, not dog (la broma solo se pilla en español porque dice dije perra, no perro)" Robin said, rolling his eyes.

"It's the same stupid thing. Anyway, what do you say about going to visit Mom?" Kid Flash asked

"Wonderful idea, finally using your brain for more than flirting with girls and eating" Robin said

"Hey!" Kid Flash said to him

"But first" Robin said, taking a gun out of his pocket and shooting the creature "Die, bitch."

"Now let's go" Robin said

"Whatever you say, birdie" Kid Flash said

And taking advantage of the fact that Robin was still in Kid Flash's arms, the speedster ran towards his house to eat Iris's delicious strawberry cake.

Chapter 37: The refrigerator

Chapter Text

Batman entered the Batcave and frowned.

"You're not as well hidden as you think"

A figure emerged from the shadows and smiled at Bruce "Dad, do you happen to know where Wally is?"

Bruce remembered how he had put the speedster in a freezer this morning "No, he's probably in his apartment. Why are you asking?"

Robin shrugged "Wally said he'd stop by the mansion this morning"

"He was only there for an hour and then he left" Batman said with a smirk

"Oh, okay" Robin said

"Why are you looking for him?" Batman asked curiously.

"We were going to go to the movies, but something probably came up for him" Robin said with a shrug

"Do you want to watch a movie with me?" Batman asked.

"Sure, why not?" Said Robin

And so they both went up to the mansion to change clothes and then head to the movie theater.

Around 8 p.m., Dick would leave the place so he could return to his tower, and Bruce would go find the speedster he left in the freezer

"I'm gonna to telling Richard" Wally said as his frozen body fell to the ground

"Try it, he won't believe you" Bruce said

"You underestimate your son, Bruce" Wally said with a smile

"Have fun thawing, Wallace" Bruce said, closing the freezer and leaving the young speedster lying on the floor as he left.

Chapter 38: Unanswered questions

Chapter Text

Robin had returned from some shopping only to find his tower on fire.

What the hell had his friends done just now?

Robin approached the group coughing on the grass and asked calmly (just like Dumbledore), "WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY TOWER? YOU HAVE THREE SECONDS TO EXPLAIN IT."

The four Titans pointed at a fifth person and said simultaneously, "It was his fault."

Robin looked at his boyfriend, who gave him a shy smile

"What the fuck did you do, Wally?" Robin asked, frowning

"I put some oil on the stove and then forgot" the idiot replied

"God, why? What did I do to you to deserve this?" Robin asked, looking up at the sky.

A suspicious cloud shaped like a middle finger appeared in the sky, and Robin looked back at the idiots he was actively choosing to hang out with.

"You know what? I don't care. I'm going to apologize to Bruce and see if he'll let me stay at the mansion. I can't take this anymore" Robin said, turning his body to face everyone and starting to walk in the direction where he had parked his plane

"Our date for Thursday is still on, right?" Kid Flash yelled at him when he saw him walking away

"I'm breaking up with you" Robin replied as he continued walking toward the plane.

"You won't. You know I'll sink into a depression and die if you do" Kid Flash said

"That's emotional manipulation" Robin said

"That's what will happen" Kid Flash said

"I'll bring flowers for your funeral then" Robin told him

"I love you too, baby" Kid Flash said

"Fuck you" Robin told him

"And where will we live?" he heard Beast Boy ask

And Robin smiled as he got on the plane.

Chapter 39: Flowers for the other person

Chapter Text

Kid Flash opened the door, as the doorbell had rang.

"Oh, hello, Robin. Who are the flowers for?" the redhead asked, seeing a large bouquet of flowers wrapped in pink paper and a ribbon.

His boyfriend smiled the most beautiful smile Wally had ever seen. It was as if the warm spring weather itself had smiled in your face, and he said "These are for you."

Kid Flash smiled tenderly and looked at his boyfriend with the sweetest look he could offer.

"They're beautiful, darling, thank you" he said as he took the offered bouquet.

He smelled the floral scent and smiled tenderly, hiding his face among the flower petals.

He wasn't going to say it out loud, but he'd always liked it when he gave flowers to a girl. But since he's a boy, he hasn't received many bouquets in his life. Yes, he has given his boyfriend many roses and other flowers, but he has almost never received live flowers in return. Robin prefers to give glass flowers. Wally had a jar on one of his shelves where he kept all the crystal flowers his boyfriend had given him.

But nothing compared to the good smell of fresh flowers and being able to run his fingers over the petals while admiring the bouquet that would soon be sitting on his desk.

"I know you're usually the one who gives me bouquets, but I thought you'd like to receive flowers sometime too, and that you'd be tired of the crystal ones by now" Robin said, his hands behind his back and a nervous smile on his face.

Kid Flash pulled him towards him and wrapping his free hand around the younger man's waist, kissed him.

"I love it, my love. This is a wonderful gift. Thank you" he said as he released Robin's mouth.

Robin smiled and said "You're welcome"

Wally invited him inside

"Do you want to watch a movie?" I ask with a shout as I place the flowers in a vase of water on my desk

"I'd love to" I hear a shout from downstairs

I take one last look at the flowers with a smile on my face and head downstairs to spend the afternoon with my beloved.

Chapter 40: The party

Chapter Text

It had all started like any other normal day in the tower.

With a party.

An unauthorized party, but one that was thrown anyway.

And as they say,

If you can't beat them, join them.

"Robin?" the Titans asked, seeing their leader not stop the party, but rather become a part of it as if it were his second skin.

He was currently kissing someone.

"Hi" Robin said with a goofy smile on his face.

You could tell by the blush on his face, the bottle in his hand, and the way he leaned on the other person that he was drunk.

The Titans had never seen Robin drunk, in fact, they'd never even seen him drink a beer.

"Do you want anything?" Asked the guy whose mouth Robin had been eating for the last 5 seconds.

And now that they looked at him and his superhero suit, they realized it was Kid Flash.

They were a little slow on the uptake, but they could blame the alcohol for that.

"Wait, Robin! Did you kiss Kid Flash?!" Beast Boy asked.

"Oh, I did more than kiss him" Robin said, smiling as he looked his companion in the eyes.

Kid Flash smiled back, and if it weren't for Raven speaking, he would have continued shoving his tongue down the other's throat.

"Why?" Raven asked

Robin shrugged "He's cute"

The Titans stared at their leader in disbelief

"He's your enemy" Starfire said, confused.

Robin looked from the alien to the speedster

"No, he's my rival. There's a difference" the black-haired boy said

"Besides, there's no rule against kissing your enemy, or in this case, my rival. So if you'll excuse me, I'll continue on with my thing. Great party, by the way" Robin said before grabbing the speedster's hand and walking into the crowd, losing sight of his friends

The two boys ended up laughing in a random room in the tower.

"Oh god, you should have seen their faces at the end" Kid Flash said

"Did you see the looks on their faces when they found us? Hahaha" Robin said, laughing.

"I can't believe you did all that sober. How do you do it?" Kid Flash asked, amused.

"Well, I went to a lot of galas when I was little, so I learned how to drink without getting drunk, pretend to be drunk, and have fun there" Robin said, laughing.

"You're amazing" Kid Flash said

"Thanks" Robin said with a smile

The speedster pulled the younger boy to his side and smiled at him, looking into his eyes.

"Hi" Kid Flash said with a smile.

"Hi" Robin said, an identical smile on his face.

Kid Flash's hand reached for the younger boy's cheek and gently caressed it "Can we keep kissing?"

Robin laughed, but smiled at the redhead and said "Sure"

The two boys leaned in close and continued kissing, this time more slowly, without the tongue and rushing around each other's mouths as they had been doing in the crowd at the party.

Kid Flash helped the boy lie down on the bed while he continued kissing him, moving down to his neck and starting to leave the occasional hickey there.

When the speedster moved up to his ear to nibble it a little, letting his warm breath pass over the inside of it, it sent shivers down Robin's body.

"You know we're not going to fuck, right?" Robin said in a choked voice

Kid Flash raised his head to look at his work and smiled when he saw a blushing Robin, breathing heavily and eyes that looked like they'd been on drugs because of how dilated they pupiles were

The redhead smiled, happy to be able to get rid of his rival's inhibitions.

"But can I keep kissing you? Because I don't mind not fucking, but those lips are addictive" Kid Flash said

"Sure" Robin said, happy that someone would respect his boundaries and ask questions instead of getting angry or ignoring his requests.

The life of a rich, attractive man was hard, and his was even harder.

Kid Flash smiled and tenderly kissed the younger man's forehead in gratitude.

When the door opened, the two boys looked at the intruder.

"Oh, it's busy, I'm leaving" Speedy said, seeing the two boys in bed.

When he properly looked at the clothes they were both wearing, he smiled and said "Hey, you finally got it, good for you" and then closed the door.

Kid Flash stared at the closed door in disbelief, and Robin let out a laugh.

The redhead shook his head and smiled fondly.

"I think we're destined to be interrupted" Robin said, amused.

"Not if we lock it" Kid Flash said with a smile.

"Clever" Robin said "Do it while I go to the bathroom for a moment"

Kid Flash got up to lock the door while Robin went into the bathroom in the room.

He peed and brushed his teeth with the toothbrushes he'd set out in case there were guests, then looked at himself in the mirror.

His superhero suit smelled of sweat and alcohol; his mask was gone a long time ago and is probably lying around somewhere in the tower.

He looked in the mirror and smiled. He had red marks on his neck, his hair was disheveled, and his eyes were shining for the first time in a long time.

Maybe it was the alcohol talking, but he really hadn't enjoyed himself this much in a long time.

He left the room to find a speedster who was no longer wearing his spandex suit but more comfortable clothes like pants and a sweatshirt.

Kid Flash smiled at him and pointed to the small pile of clothes on the corner of the bed.

"I brought you some clothes. I thought you wanted to shower and change. I got them from your room, but I didn't look at anything other than the closet. Plus, you have a good movie section" the speedster said as he stopped looking at Robin to look at the television.

Robin smiled and grabbed the pile of clothes "Thanks"

When Robin came out of the bathroom for the second time, Kid Flash had already found a movie to watch, and now there was a board on the bed with food on it.

"Looks like you were busy" Robin said, getting into bed.

"You can't see a movie without snacks" Kid Flash said with a smile.

It was finally five in the morning, and Kid Flash turned off the television, leaving the board with the leftover food and wrappers on the desk so it wouldn't get in the way.

He got back into bed and looked at the boy who had been asleep for a while. Robin's expression was peaceful and serene.

He smiled as his rival's unconscious body approached his. Their snuggled up together under the sheets, and Kid Flash finally closed his eyes, ready to sleep.

Maybe he had come to the party with the intention of drinking and having fun like the teenager he was supposed to be.

And maybe he had gotten lucky and gotten laid by the person he'd wanted for a while. But this had been better, more intimate than sex.

He had gotten to see the person he had feelings for without walls dividing them.

Only the real him, and it had all been consensual. From the kisses to the reveal of that missing part of his face.

It was simply wonderful to be able to cuddle up with the person he loved and have them reciprocate.

He hoped that by morning their relationship as rivals would be something else. He felt Robin's calm breathing on his neck and decided that tomorrow would decide; it was time to go to sleep.

Chapter 41: Detonate the bomb

Chapter Text

Speedy was a little fed up with the Tamarita's insinuations and the tricks the other Titans played on them.

That's why he had devised this wonderful plan to get the titans to stop bothering him.

"Here" Speedy said, handing him a small metal ball.

"What's this for?" Kid Flash asked, looking at the object.

"You hate Robin, don't you?" Speedy said with a smile.

"Yes" Kid Flash said, not understanding where this conversation was going.

"It's a gift for the Titans. Detonate it. In their tower" Speedy said, smiling.

"Do you want me to detonate Robin in his tower?" Kid Flash said, trying to see if he misunderstood.

"Yes" Speedy said, having heard "Do you want me to detonate it in Robin's tower?"

"You know I could face police charges for that, right?" Kid Flash said, wondering if Roy was really asking him to rape Robin or if it was just his feverish mind.

"I don't care, we'll get you out of jail and clear your record" Speedy said

"Okay" Kid Flash said, shrugging and running out of the house

Speedy smiled. That slime bomb was going to be all over the tower.

In the wonderful Titan Tower, our boys were relaxing on the couch until a speedster appeared in front of the television.

"Dude, we were watching that" Beast Boy complained.

"Hey. I have to detonate you" Kid Flash said with a smile, looking at Robin.

"Sorry?" Robin said, bewildered.

"Apology accepted" Kid Flash said before throwing the ball into the room and quickly carrying Robin to his side.

The Titans found themselves covered in slime and blinking in bewilderment.

Meanwhile, our favorite gays were in Robin's room.

Before the explosion had even finished, the black-haired boy had been thrown onto the bed and had Kid Flash on top of him, covering his mouth with his hand.

The speedster looked at the wall and heard the beep that indicated the slime had exploded in the room.

He smiled and turned to look at his companion, who was looking at him with scared eyes.

"Robin, your breathing is going too fast" Kid Flash said, frowning as he noticed the speed at which Robin exhaled against his hand.

First, he noticed the shiver, then the shudder, coupled with the other's hyperventilation, the scared look, and being in a bed and what he'd told him about detonating it.

"Oh right. This looks terribly wrong" The speedster took the young man's hand from his mouth and ran to the farthest corner of the room he could find from Robin "Sorry. I didn't think this through. I didn't mean to bring up a flashback. I'm not going to rape you or anything. I just came to dirty your living room because Speedy's upset about Star's romantic advances toward him."

"Damn it, why do I never take my words into account?" The speedster cursed himself

"Rob, I'm not going to ruin all the progress we've made just to traumatize you more than you already are" Kid Flash said, regretting his actions.

Because, truth be told, Robin and Kid Flash had been secretly seeing each other for six months. It all started one night when they were fighting at the top of Titan Tower. Kid Flash didn't even remember why they were fighting, but the night had started with shouting and ended with them both sitting next to each other, staring at the stars.

They had talked about the past, the present, and other things that night; they had somehow reached a mutual understanding. And they had continued; every two weeks they would meet somewhere far from everyone, but where they could see the starry sky, and they would talk.

They talked about what frustrated them daily: their mentors, their families, their friends, their studies, everything and nothing. In three months, they were talking about the past, about Kid Flash's abusive parents, about Batman's constant neglect, about how he always gave him impossible goals only to see him fail, about how his father and mother should have a divorce instead of raising a child together, about the team, about galas, about school, and without realizing it, they were talking about their insecurities. About how they feared they wouldn't be good superheroes, about how he couldn't save others if he couldn't even save himself, about how people only saw him as a piece of meat because of his butt and figure. About how his father had started hitting him when he was 4, about how a woman had slept with him without his permission at one of those galas Bruce had forced him to go to, and how he'd gotten yelled at when he got home for not doing what Bruce had asked him to do at the gala.

About how strangers touching them on the skin was a trigger for both of them and how it could lead to panic attacks.

About how neither of them liked deep male voices or authority figures who were supposed to love you.

They talked about their childhoods and adolescences, about girlfriends and boyfriends, about studies and careers. They talked about many things during those starry nights during those 6 months.

They knew each other had plenty of blackmail material and that their enmity or rivalry wasn't as real as they made it seem.

They had found a confidant, a friend, and a shoulder to cry on.

They had found someone who would listen when the adults wouldn't.

They had found salvation, an rock

They both knew how to hit each other if that was what they really wanted.

That's why Kid Flash had screwed up so spectacularly.

He had taken him and told him he was going to detonate him. How did he say that to a rape victim?

Now he was watching his friend's chest rise and fall rapidly and could feel Robin hyperventilating. He could see the fear still in his eyes as he looked at him even though he was feet away.

He could feel his regret and apologies wanting to spill out of his mouth. Kid Flash needed to fix this before Robin dissociated or passed out.

"Dick, I need you to breathe" He forced himself out in a calm tone of voice and sat on the floor to make himself smaller.

"Inhale and exhale" he said, his chest rising and falling exaggeratedly as he breathed in and out.

Robin's eyes stared at him; he felt them piercing his body.

He could feel the other's fear.

Why had he gotten himself into this? Why had he messed up so much?

Under the pleas to a god he didn't believe in, Kid Flash heard him.

A small inhalation before letting out an erratic sigh.

"Okay, Rob, you're doing great" Kid Flash said, encouraging him to continue.

It was a very long 40 minutes of pleading, explaining, and breathing, but they succeeded. Robin's breathing was more stable and calm. He no longer looked at him with scared eyes, but with tired ones.

Kid Flash wanted to get closer, but he knew it wasn't a good idea. Just when he thought things might be going well, he saw it. Teary eyes that broke his heart.

"Shit" he muttered under his breath.

Kid Flash stood up slowly, making all his movements deliberate, and said "Can I come over and hug you?"

he wait for a no so he can sit back down and leave the boy dealing with his emotions despite the fact that it broke his heart, or he wait for an affirmative so he can go comfort him.

Robin's small nod made him smile.

He walked slowly to the younger boy's bed, where he sat down and with visible movements, placed Robin on his lap.

Robin clutched his shirt with his fists and wet it with salty tears.

Kid Flash gently ran his hand through his hair and used the other to rub the younger boy's back.

"There, there, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I forgot. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. My plan was to leave the bomb and then leave. I only took you with me so you wouldn't be covered in slime. I didn't think about my words, I didn't think about my actions. I'm sorry. You put your trust in me and I broke it like an idiot. Sorry. You can hit my legs with your cane. I deserve it" He said as he swung to cradle him and Robin

"I'm the worst, I know. Sorry, you can make fun of me all you want, you can throw a beer bottle at my head if you want, trauma for trauma. Please, sorry, stop crying. You know I hate seeing you cry. I'm so sorry"

And so Kid Flash's mouth continued to utter apologies until Robin's crying stopped and he pulled his head from his chest.

Despite his red, swollen eyes, it was the most adorable sight Kid Flash had ever seen, and he smiled.

"Hello" the redhead said in an immensely soft tone of voice.

"If you do something like that again, I'll kill you, and they won't find your fucking body" Robin said, looking at him sweetly.

Kid Flash sighed in relief "God, I'm so glad you're back to normal"

"I'm going to pass out" Robin said, blinking tiredly.

"Please stay and leave in the morning before I kill you" the black-haired boy said before closing his eyes and going to sleep.

Wally smiled and laid Robin down on the mattress. He let the boy curl up in his lap and ran his fingers through his hair while he watched over his dreams and chased away the nightmares and memories.

When Robin woke up, he didn't find the speedster anywhere, but he did find a note on his nightstand and freshly made breakfast on a plate.

Robin smiled and busied himself tucking a glass bottle into his belt for the next time he ran into the speedster in public.

Chapter 42: The race

Chapter Text

"So how do you plan on winning me ? love" Kid Flash asked with a smile as he stretched.

"Oh don't worry about that, worry about your legs," Robin said with a smile.

"Why? Are you going to give me a nice reward when I beat you?" Kid Flash asked, amused.

"Sort of" Robin said with a shit-eating grin.

"Ready, steady, go," Cyborg said, clicking his pistol.

Wally didn't expect the blow from the metal bar. "Shit, are you Flash, capable of hitting that fast?" He asked while holding his legs, lying on the ground.

The redhead watched as Robin gave him the finger and ran to reach the finish line.

"Fucking cheater" Kid Flash muttered.

"Fuck you, you shouldn't have stolen my team" Robin told him after winning the race.

"But they're a bunch of lazy people" Kid Flash replied.

"They're my bunch of lazy people, and quit the show. I know you're okay" Robin said, arms crossed.

"Well, yeah" Kid Flash said, standing up and crossing his arms.

"There, your reward" Robin said with a smile before giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Now leave my team alone, or I'll call Batman" he whispered threateningly in his ear.

Kid Flash shuddered.

"You're bad" the redhead told him.

"And you handsome. Now off you go. Go find Roy or something. I have things to do" Robin said, waving him off.

Kid Flash smiled "Sure" then grabbed Robin by the waist and kissed him.

Robin had time to put his hands on the taller boy's shoulders as he intertwined them and stood on his tiptoes to continue the kiss.

"Is this supposed to be the all-important race?" Beast Boy asked from the stands, pointing at both boys.

"I wanted Kid Flash to be the new leader" Starfire said with a pout.

"I think Kid Flash wants our leader, not to be one" Cyborg said.

"How gay" Raven said "Are we going to have to put up with them being mushy?"

"Considering that a second ago they were fighting and Robin hit him with his cane, I'd say we'll probably put up with their love-hate relationship" Beast Boy said.

"Well, at least we'll see Kid Flash more often" Starfire said with a smile

"Robin will probably do it, I don't think he'll come after us" Cyborg said, pointing at the two boys who were still kissing.

"Well, if he yells at Kid Flash, he won't yell at us" Raven said, shrugging.

"Well said, babe" Beast Boy said.

"We better go. This looks like it's going to be a long one" Starfire said.

The four of them watched as both boys still hadn't separated from each other and nodded.

Raven made a portal and let the boys be gay.

Chapter 43: Falling asleep

Chapter Text

Kid Flash was admiring his boyfriend. The young man was sleeping peacefully on his shoulder.

Robin had fallen asleep while writing some reports.

Kid Flash smiled happily as he brushed the boy's hair away from his face and then continued writing on the papers.

Robin still had some papers to write when Kid Flash found him asleep at the living room table.

He would have opened him, placed on his lap or in his room where he belonged, but the boy had gotten up and muttered in displeasure, so Kid Flash made a deal with him and got him to sleep, promising that he would do his reports.

Which spoke volumes about how delirious Robin was, because he simply agreed and dragged them to the couch.

Now, as he wrote, glancing sideways from time to time to check that Robin was still asleep, he smiled amusedly.

It seemed that his studies would be of use to him, because writing the reports was quite easy. Seeing the clock at 4 in the morning, he decided he would have to get Robin to bed. He couldn't protest anymore now that his reports were done and placed in a pile on the table.

He picked up the boy and walked to the younger boy's room.

"Wallou, the reports?" Robin murmured softly.

"They're already finished, we're just moving to bed" Kid Flash said with a smile.

"Okay" Robin said before snuggling back into his boyfriend's arms.

Kid Flash smiled fondly and went into the boy's room.

He carried him to bed and quickly changed his clothes, then changed his own as well.

Then the two snuggled up in bed and went to sleep for real, once and for all.

Chapter 44: Kill them Juan, you have to kill them

Chapter Text

Robin didn't even know what the other guy was talking about. He simply closed his eyes to blink and suddenly found himself being held up by his boyfriend to prevent him from crashing into the floor of his room.

"Robin?" Kid Flash asked, worried.

Robin blinked slowly, lifting his head to look at the other guy.

Kid Flash saw the deep circles under his eyes, how his eyes were straining to focus on his face, and how limp he was in his arms.

"Robin, are you okay? Have you been sleeping lately, honey?" Wally asked.

"Yeah, yeah, a few minutes yesterday" Robin said with a smile, ignoring his boyfriend's frown.

"The Titans have just started throwing parties at night, and the music and lights are keeping me awake" the dark-haired boy explained

"How long have the Titans been throwing these parties? Why didn't you tell them to stop?" Kid Flash asked, worried.

"A week ago and I did, but they ignored me, as usual" Robin said, frowning.

An explosion sounded in the distance, and Robin shuddered.

"We're okay!" Beast Boy yelled from somewhere.

"Besides, they don't let me sleep during the day either" Robin said, pointing in the general direction of the boys' noises.

Kid Flash frowned.

"Do you want me to take care of this?" Kid Flash asked,

"No, no, it's not your job" Robin said, looking at him before letting out a giant yawn.

"Robin, please. You're going to fall flat on your face if I don't intervene" Kid Flash said.

"I'm fine" Robin said.

"You're literally lying in my arms" Kid Flash said.

Robin couldn't argue much because it was true.

A terrifying scream echoed through the area, and Raven's voice said "Don't worry, I'm dealing with this demon. He'll shut up in a little while"

Wally looked at his partner, and Dick simply said "Help" while looking at him like a kicked puppy.

Roy entered the tower, which was the Titans East's base of operations, only to find the place covered in green slime and Kid Flash yelling "I don't give a damn that you didn't have to clean at home. I want to see the walls spotless, or I'll throw you in the damn ocean!"

"What's going on?" Speedy ask, approaching his leader

Kid Flash smiled at him and said "The Titans are going to be staying with us for a while"

"How long is a while?" Bumblebee asked, coming out of the kitchen.

"A week" Kid Flash said

"Why do we have to put up with them for a week? And why isn't Robin with them?" Aqualad asked

"Robin is resting in his tower without his annoying roommates. We'll make sure he gets the sleep he deserves by taking care of his Titans" Kid Flash said.

"Your boyfriend asked you to keep them, didn't he?" Speedy asked

"He was on the verge of collapse, Roy. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't help him rest?" The redhead said to the archer

"Couldn't you just kill them or something? They're annoying" Bumblebee said, arms crossed.

"I wish. But Robs would be sad if I did" Kid Flash said

"Not if he joins our team" Bumblebee said, pulling out a shovel and smiling sinisterly.

"Remind me never to make your enemy" Aqualad told him

"You're not going to kill them, Bumble" Kid Flash said

"They're practically begging to be put a arrow in the neck" Speedy said, arms crossed.

"If anyone's going to kill them, it'll be me. Thank you very much. Now put down your weapons and behave yourselves with the guests. You have the right to punish them as you want, but I want them all away from Robs for seven days. Also, we're going to have to patrol his streets, since Robs is dead to the world" Kid Flash said with a grin.

The Titans of the East groaned in frustration.

"I don't care about the complaints or whatever they do. Take them to the woods and leave them there if necessary, but if any of them disturb Dick's sleep, I'll hunt them down and kill them myself. Now behave yourselves with the guests and make them do the chores you don't want to do" Kid Flash said

"Fine" the rest of the team members said, even though they didn't like this new living arrangement.

But an angry Kid Flash wasn't something you wanted without a boyfriend who could calm him down, so they swallowed their curses and complaints and went into the kitchen to eat some donuts.
