YAYY...I think..

ok. time for the fic!

keep in mind, in this AU/fic sprouts been a cunt to Cosmo for a bit now, so the mains have had enough.

3rd person pov

oh yeah. COSMO AND SPROUT ARENT DATING!!! THERE ARE NO SHIPS IN THIS FIC!11!

Cosmo and sprout were baking as always. until Cosmo asked a question.

"hey sprout? do we have anymore flour? I think we ran out."

sprout turned his head to Cosmo, his expression unreadable as he focused on the baking.

"No. I don't know. check underneath the cabinet."

Cosmo noticed sprouts change in demeanor and didn't want to bother him any further, so he looked under the cabinet and found nothing so he didn't mention it to sprout.

an hour later, Cosmo didn't finish the baking process because of the lack of flour, sprout got pissed off.

sprout sighed, and he looked at Cosmo angrily.

"did you ever find the flour?"

Cosmo froze, he didn't mention the flour to sprout. oh shit, he was fucked for sure.

"u-um..I forgot to tell you."

Cosmo said nervously, he looked away from sprout, he felt sprouts eyes burning into his body.

"cosmo."

cosmo looked back at sprout.

"why didn't you fucking tell me."

Cosmo sighed. a shaky nervous one.

"s-sprout you seemed busy so I didn't want to..um bother you."

"and either way..you seemed mad anyway so I didn't want to annoy you-"

cosmos nervous explanation was cut off by a slap to his face by sprout.

for a moment, everything was silent. sprouts angry breathing making the silence feel more agonizing as the slap stung on his hand and it left a slight red mark on cosmos face.

"....did you learn your lesson on being a pathetic, stupid bitch, Cosmo?"

sprout said harshly. his tone being cold and ruthless.

"y-yes I did."

cosmo said. trying to think of anything to avoid the tears falling out.

"good." sprout said, getting back to his baking. "now go to your room, I'll handle the rest."

Cosmo just walked away silently, tears falling from his eyes as he sat down in a corner and sobbed quietly, until Astro walked over.

"cosmo? are you okay? what happened?"

astro asked, one of his stars coming up to wipe cosmos tears from his eyes.

"its sprout again..he slapped me."

Astros eyes narrowed, and what seemed to be a flicker of anger appeared in his face.

"is that so?"

he said, his tone completely different from before.

"come with me Cosmo, we are going to the other mains."

Cosmo got up and walked beside Astro, holding onto his blanket and wiping his tears with his sleeve, he felt terrible, this wasn't the first time. he hopes it will stop soon.

"don't worry cos, we will sort this out, okay?

said Astro, in a calm tone of voice.

"okay."

said Cosmo, as they entered the room where all the mains were. they seemed to be playing poker of some sort.

Cosmo sat down, his face showing a nervous expression as the mains stopped their game of poker to look at him and Astro.

Shelly looked over at Astro and Cosmo, noticing something wrong.

"what brings you here cosmo?"

Shelly said in a happy tone, the other mains waiting for his response

Cosmo stayed silent for a bit. until Astro spoke for him.

"Well um..sprout slapped his cheek over a disagreement."

the room went silent after that.

Bobette looked up from her poker cards, her expression unreadable.

"repeat that."

Astros eye went slightly wide, Bobettes angry tone making him shake a little.

"r-repeat what..?"

Bobettes eyes narrowed at the dumb question. but she kept calm and told him what to repeat.

"what you said sprout did to cosmo, repeat that."

Astros eyes narrowed in fear, but he swallowed the lump in his throat and repeated what he said.

"I said sprout smacked Cosmo. l-like..over a disagreement in the kitchen..I-i think.

he said. all the other mains in the room looking pissed. pebble growled, showing his teeth. coal also understood, growling and barking at the mention of sprout.

"shh shh..calm down you two.."

Bobette said, petting coal and pebble to calm them down.

Vee sighed. a sigh of anger coming out her speakers.

"ugh. this again. why don't we teach sprout a lesson? he clearly hasn't learned about the talk we gave him last time about hurting cosmo."

vee said, clearly pissed off about what sprout did. she had trouble feeling emotions sometimes. but she knew when to feel them at least. Her robotic voice making the room a bit more tense than before.

Shelly then chimed in, her voice low and angry.

"Its been like what. A MILLION FUCKING TIMES?! we have spoken to him REPEATEDLY ABOUT FUCKING HITTING AND ABUSING COSMO!"

Bassie nodded, agreeing with what Shelly said, she also chimed in, saying her point of view on this situation.

"We need to teach him a lesson about hurting Cosmo. Its been enough and he still hasn't learned, we have to be more harsh."

her voice was soft, but felt..intimidating.

meanwhile, Cosmo was In his seat. he was dissociating right then and there. he was thinking about when sprout was the bestest friend he could ask for. what happened?

Astro noticed cosmos blank staring, knowing that he was dissociating. he gave Cosmo a big, long hug while all the other mains were discussing how to give sprout a well deserved consequence.

"its okay cos..we are here for you."

cosmo leaned into the hug, after what felt like forever, they stopped hugging when the others came to an agreement.

Bobette looked over to Astro and Cosmo, her eyes burning into theirs.

She then spoke, a calm, monotone voice followed as she said her plan to Astro and Cosmo.

"Shelly, bassie, vee, and I have come up with a plan to deal with sprout." She grinned. a wide, creepy grin as she continued with her sentence. "We have decided. to torture him to death. and I have two friends that are pretty good with weapons!"

Vee, Shelly and bassie grinned at the idea. Astro just looked at them in disbelief, but..he also felt..good at the thought of it?

Cosmo definitely didn't fucking agree to this. what the hell was Bobette on about?! torturing and killing sprout?? that's fucked up. he decided to speak out about this.

"Bobette, WHAT THE FUCK?! IM NOT DOING THAT! WHAT IF I GET CAUGHT?? I HAVE A REPUTATION TO UPHOLD!" he said, his voice angry and filled with a bit of fear. he just couldn't fucking believe what he heard. "AND WHO THE FUCK ARE THOSE TWO FRIENDS?! WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE WOULD HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF WEAPONS IN GARDEN VIEW?!

Bobette chuckled. her weary and creepy grin never leaving. "Don't worry Cosmo. I have all the answers to your questions."

"First off. sprout has tortured you countless times, within the fact that he used your friendship as a way to keep you near him and hurt you more."

She said, as she lit a cigarette and took a drag, passing it to Shelly afterwards. "So, wouldn't it be fair to just. eliminate him? it would be way better than having him around. he is a failure of a main. don't worry about your reputation."

after she said that, she adjusted the white fur boa around her neck before continuing. "I will take care of everything. Ill make sure we don't get caught."

After Bobettes explaining, Cosmo seemed convinced, a look of agreement in his eyes as he thinks about what she said, but she forgot to answer one question, who were the friends good with weapons?

"Okay. I'm a little convinced. but who were the two friends you mentioned earlier?" he said."

Bobette laughed. "Oh how could I forget? its looey and yatta of course! they are amazing with sadism and their weapons are super useful!"

Cosmo let out a shaky laugh, clearly not understanding how that's good but..whatever. he'd rather know later than now.

"H-hah..yeah..so anyway..how are we gonna..torture him?"

Bobettes grin faded, looking confused for a moment...until the other mains came out with ideas.

Shelly said enthusiastically. "We can make him watch gore! or maybe burn him with boiling water!"

Vee grinned at the idea. she gave her own idea as well. "We can also maybe skin him then put salt in it. it would hurt like fuck."

Bobette looked around, confused as to where the hell those ideas are coming from. "W-what the fuck?! where did you guys-"

She was cut off by bassie, who gave another idea. "We can also cut him. or burn him with cigarettes. either one works."

Astro chimed in. "Maybe we can drug him. make him feel so terrible he can't fight back."

Bobette had a cartoony thinking expression on her face when she thought of the perfect idea of what to do to sprout. "Well, we can always think up more things when we are with looey and yatta. maybe..we can take out his organs in the end!"

the other mains looked happy at the idea, cheering Bobette on. Bobette smiled and waved as if she was a famous popstar Infront of paparazzi.

Cosmo giggled at the stupid stance she had, he then asked a question. "Hehe..Well..how are we gonna get sprout with us? I mean..he's not easy to convince.

Bobette smiled at Cosmo, seeming to have everything planned out already. "Don't worry! we will just kidnap him. you will lure him in." Her demeanor changed when she said Cosmo would lure sprout in.

Cosmo was more concerned about the fact that she had thought of all this in like a few minutes but..whatever. he nodded and said a few shaky words.

"I-i shouldn't feel bad right? I mean..sprout has hit me so many times..and abused me emotionally and mentally..if uh..thats the same thing..isn't it? whatever..but. should I feel bad?"

Bobette adjusted her white fur boa again after she had been fiddling with it while thinking about her sadistic plans for sprout. her voice a low murmur. "Dont worry. he deserves everything coming to him."

She then noticed the time and realized it was time for bed. it was 2 in the morning. wayyy past time than usual but the mains were very focused on this.

She sighed and then looked back at the other mains. "Everyone. to sleep."

The mains nodded and went to their bedrooms except astro. Bobette picked up pebble and coal and brung them to her room, but before she closed it, she gave Cosmo and Astro a smile and then closed it."

The silence was loud, it was really loud. but Astro broke it with a small sentence.

"Um..Cosmo. I have a spare mattress in my room if you want to sleep with me."

Cosmo smiled, he nodded. "Yeah of course! I'd love to!"

Afterwards, they enter his room. it was very calming. it felt cool and cozy. they both got into bed and got comfortable before Astro said this.

"Big day tomorrow, eh?" he said, his voice a little nervous.

Cosmo looked up from the pillow, the blue light illuminating the room slightly. "yup..I'm just glad sprouts getting a taste of his own medicine for once."

Astro nodded. "Yeah you're right. okay Cosmo. goodnight."

Cosmo yawned and he replied. "goodnight Astro.."

They then fell into a deep, restful sleep as the events of the next day seemed miles away.

Chapter Text

Cosmo woke up the next day feeling groggy and unmotivated. He then looked over to astro who was sleeping peacefully on another bed near him.

 

Cosmos eyes then widened as he remembered as to why he was here.

 

“oh god..i forgot.” Cosmo murmured. He didn’t want to get up. His body ached. Cosmo lied in bed for a bit longer, waiting for the others to wake up.

 

A few minutes later, he heard pebble and coal barking and bobettes muffled voice from her room.

 

Cosmo felt too tired for this. Isn’t this too much? Is..murdering sprout too much? Well. He understands the torturing part. But..killing him?

 

He decided he should talk to them about that. He didn’t want sprout dead. He just wanted him to change. Cosmo then came out of astros room, being silent and trying not to bother astro too much.

 

He prepared himself a small sandwich and a cup of coffee. He didn’t have an appetite, but he needed to eat, or else he would feel weak.

Atleast an hour later. The other mains woke up, first Bobette, then vee, then shelly. Then bassie. Lastly, astro.

 

They call came out to the main living room outside all of their rooms. All looking a bit tired except for Bobette.

 

“Goodmorning everyone!” she said in a happy tone.

 

“Morning.” Replied cosmo. “So..how are we gonna do this luring him in thing?”

 

The other mains looked over to Bobette, waiting for a response.

 

Bobette sighed. “Well. We are gonna use you cosmo.”

 

“Whatwhatwhat NO! what the FUCK?” Cosmo said panicked. “He literally just slapped the shit out of me a day ago!”

 

Bobette rolled her eyes. “Oh calm down cosmo. Its not like we will be leaving you alone with him anyway. We will be watching.”

 

Cosmo blinked slowly, this seemed odd. Maybe its just the feeling of this happening so fast to him, but he nodded slowly.

 

“Good! Now, let me tell you the plan.” She adjusted the fur boa around her neck and looked over to the other mains.

 

“Shelly will go over to sprout first and say she got more flour. Then, vee will eavesdrop on their conversation to tell us whats happening.”

 

“Then, shelly will bring him to you. And you will ask him to bake! Then we will grab him from behind and tie him down, but that’s for us..not you. So don’t worry about that!” Bobette said it in a very happy tone, worrying cosmo about her wellbeing, AND the plan.

 

“Um..sounds..good? I guess?” Cosmo said worried. “What is astro and bassie gonna do though?”

“They will just stay here and help us tie sprout up. Got it?” Bobette replied.

“Um. G-got it.” Cosmo mumbled nervously. He looked over to shelly who got up and adjusted her dress. She grabbed vee’s hand and walked to the door, waiting for Cosmo to follow.

 

"Come on Cosmo, we don't have all day." Shelly said as she opened the door. Cosmo looked to the other mains who were getting supplies to tie sprout up.

"Coming. Damn." Cosmo got up and followed them out, bobette watched as Astro and bassie got a chair ready for sprout.

Cosmo then walked down that long hallway, hearing vee and Shelly talk, but he didn't register any of it. he just hoped that they were doing the right choice.

He then noticed that Shelly and vee stopped, they were Infront of the kitchen, sprout was inside luckily.

Cosmo peeked inside, seeing sprout using a measuring cup to measure something. was it flour? no wait they had run out of that. probably baking soda.

"So..is shelly gonna go in there?-"

"Pfft!" Shelly cut Cosmo off. "FUCK no! you're gonna go in there Cosmo!"

"Wait what the hell?? Bobette said YOU would go in there!" Cosmo said in a panicked whisper, he thought Shelly would listen to what bobette said.

“Yeah right. I am NOT going in there with sprout, you got that.”

 

Cosmo was so confused. “But why shelly..? I thought..i thought you wanted to help.”

 

Shelly sighed, vee watched their interaction closely.

 

“Listen cos, I do want to help you. Youre my friend. But I cant do this. You have to, you have to be brave for us. To get this over with okay? I promise me and vee will watch over you.”

 

Shelly adjusted her dress, and continued. “I just want you to fight for yourself, cos.”

 

She stared into his eyes for a bit, waiting for him to reply.

 

“Ill..ill try being brave..its just hard to.” Cosmo looked down. He looked ashamed of being scared.

 

Vee chimed in, giving her own thoughts, “Cosmo. It is okay. We are all scared. Bobette is the only one who is not.”

 

“The only way to stop being scared is to face your fears.”

 

Cosmo thought about that, then looked over to sprout who was too busy trying to measure. He still hasn’t finished?

 

“Ill go.” Cosmo walked towards sprout and tapped his shoulder.

 

Sprout turned to look to cosmo, his expression softer than before.

 

“oh, hey cosmo. Did you learn your lesson?”

 

Cosmo nodded. “I did. But did you get any flour..?” he said while looking down at the floor.

 

“No I didn’t. I guess we didn’t have any after all.”

 

“Well..i have some..follow me.”

 

Sprout narrowed his eyes. “Well why cant you just bring it to me, stupid?”

 

Cosmo backed away every so slightly. “Well..um. its too heavy for me. It’s a big bag of flour. So It doesn’t run out fast.”

 

Sprout looked to the empty bag of flour in the trashcan, then back at cosmo.

 

“Ok sure, ill follow you.”

 

Cosmo looked behind sprout and saw shelly and vee giving him a reassuring smile and a thumbs up. They then ran off to the room where the other mains so sprout didn’t see them.

 

Cosmo then walked past sprout, and sprout started following.

 

The walk was silent, until sprout spoke up.

 

“Where did you get the bag of flour?”

 

Cosmos mind raced, trying to find an answer.

 

“Um..i just got it from the closet. Yeah.”

 

Sprout looked confused but just nodded and kept walking.

 

Then, they arrived.

 

The room was empty, cosmo was confused. So was sprout.

 

“So..wheres this stupid bag huh?” sprout said, getting agitated.

 

“j-just wait..ill go get it..”

 

Just as cosmo turned away to pretend to get something. He heard a muffled scream and then looked back.

 

He was horrified to see Bobette holding a cloth over sprouts face, sprout struggling and trying to kick her off and fighting back.

 

Cosmo froze. He saw the other mains getting a rope ready.

 

He felt scared. Terrified. His mind swirled with emotions. Anger, regret. But most of all.

 

Guilt.

 

He dimly registered as sprouts struggles became slower and slower, and as he passed out in bobettes arms.

 

Bobette grinned and carried him to the chair, astro then tied sprout to the chair and gave Bobette a thumbs up.

 

Cosmo stopped zoning out as he heard bobettes voice.

 

“Good job cos, you did good.” She said as she had a warm smile on her face.

 

“Y-yeah..no problem.” Cosmo answered.

 

“Alright guys! Get the supplies, and get a table and some napkins. This is gonna be messy.”

 

Astro, shelly vee and bassie went to get the supplies.

 

Cosmo stayed silent next to Bobette.

 

“Bobette?”

 

“Yeah?”

 

“Is..is this the right choice?”

 

Bobette looked a bit surprised, but that faded as quickly as it came.

 

“yeah. I promise it’s the right choice.” Bobette replied. She put a hand on his back.

“It will be okay.”

 

“Okay Bobette.”

 

Bobette stayed silent for a bit, then said something.

 

“You know. Youre really brave.”

Cosmo looked surprised at that, he didn’t expect her to say that so suddenly.

 

“I am?”

 

“Of course. Now, I have some cookies I stole from sprout, if youd like them.”

“From sprout? Hes gonna be pissed-“

 

He then remembered what they were gonna do.

Oh. Nevermind. And..i would like those cookies. Thank you.”

 

“No problem! They are in the lunchroom!”

 

Cosmo walked to the lunchroom, leaving Bobette alone with her thoughts.

 

She rubbed her forehead with her hand.

 

“Damn..i should stop smoking so much. It gives me terrible headaches.”

 

She sat down on the floor waiting for the others to come back. She looked over to sprout, then her hands.

 

Even she asked herself if this was the right choice.

 

But oh well, too late to turn back now.
