Chapter Text

Eren never knew what a family was. He had seen the person who gave birth to him leave the moment Eren left their body. The other person who helped conceive him didn’t even bother to stick around for the birth. But Eren didn’t feel any connection to these people. They were only the people who created him nothing more.

He had wondered these woods for years now. Over the years he had created himself a nice routine. When the sun rose he’d go and bask in the sun for a while. Afterwards he’d go to the large wall that was near the forest he roamed and he’d scratch at it along with the other titans. He didn’t know why he did this but there was just an urge to always do so. He’d do this till the sun began to set, when it did, he’d return to the forest to rest before doing it all again the next morning.

Though sometimes his routine changed. That happened when the wall would open for a moment letting some small things wearing green cloaks and ridding dear like creatures out. He always felt that urge when he saw them.

He had eaten many of them. It’s not like they tasted good. If they did he wouldn’t know he didn’t have taste buds. But as of lately that urge had felt less strong. Of course he’d still do his routine of scratching the wall every day but he chased the green covered things less. Instead he’d watch them. Which was easy when you were 15 meters tall. Occasionally he’d eat them but that would only be if they attacked him.

He had made names for some of these creatures. His favorites were green number 4 and green number 2. Green number two had hair that reminded him of the sun that was cleanly cut and styled. He always looked so serious. Green number 4 Had a tab skin and brown hair with some stubble. He looks like he would start balding soon. Green number 4 seemed to in charge though he didn’t seem great at it. Most of the other greens died under green number 4s orders. Eren thinks that number 2 would make a good leader. Every time the greens mouth moved to speak the other greens listened and didn’t seem to die.

One day Eren stopped seeing green number 4. Had a Titan eaten him? It wouldn’t be shocking. Many of the greens got killed by his fellow titans. Every time they left the safety of their walls in fact. So why did this upset Eren? Was it because that was one of his favorites? No matter he could replace him. No matter he still had green number 2. Green number 2 seemed to be in charge now. This made Eren feel happier about the loss of his other favorite. Though another feeling was bubbling inside of Eren.

The feeling to protect.

It felt odd. He didn’t know how to react. All he knew was the urge to the greens was completely gone. Yes he still scratched the walls and when he saw some people leaving the walks he of course ate them. But when it came to the greens he wanted to kill any Titan that came near them. So that’s what he did. Any Titan who came close to them would have their spine ripped out before Eren kicked their head off their body. It was like a fun game to him. He had noticed some of the greens had seen him do this and one seemed quite intrigued.

He called that one green number 6. Every time he’d kill a Titan that’d charge at them It made a noise that made his ears hurt. It’d then turn to another shorter green number 5 and make their mouth say things. In response green number 5 would look at ere before grabbing those things off their waists. In the last, it’d do this before flinging at Eren. Be as of recently it stopped flying st him. The things more acted like a warning towards Eren never an actual attack. This put Eren at some peace knowing he wouldn’t be hurt that day. Being threatened was better than being hurt.

Today was different . He had seen a new titan. This one was rather large. Eren himself was the biggest titan he had seen but this one was even bigger than the walls! Eren had been doing his routine of scratching at the wall when he had saw it. He quickly moved out the way as he saw the large Titan pulling its leg back to kick in the wall. As Eren saw the wall break however he felt a wave of worry. He hoped that none of the greens got hurt in that kick. But the feeling was quickly pushed down as he was flooded with the urge.

He flooded in with the other titans as they all grabbed people eating them without a second thought. Though Eren did habe a second thought. He had many in-fact when he was crushing his teeth down on a woman he had seen stuck under some rubble. Though that didn’t stop him, it just slowed him down that’s all.

Eren sighed as he saw all the humans were gone. He had barely eaten any due to these thoughts. Then he saw another new Titan. This one had armor it seemed. Eren watched as it slammed into the other wall breaking it. Eren didn’t even move for a moment. Was this happening? The walls that had held him back for so long had been broken like that? This must be too good to be true! Eren looked at the armored titan who was now looking g right back at him. Eren Turned to walk into the now opened second wall.

Then he felt an unimaginable pain in the back of neck as he heard the noise the greens made when they flew.

Eren fell to the ground with a thud that brought the armored titans attention back to him.

What emerged from the now disintegrating corpse was a person.

Chapter Text

Reiner , Bertolt , and Annie were just sent out on this mission. It hadn’t even been a month. They had been expected to take years. But it hadn’t even been a month and Reiner already had found the founder. No way it was that simple right? But he was looking right at it. A boy, around his age, crawling out of a disintegrating titan corpse. Reiner blinked making sure this was r-hey where the hell did that kid go?!

Eren was scared.

Well at least he thinks he is. He had never felt fear before. But he sure this is what it was. He was shaking and everything looked scary. Everything was big and his body felt sensitive. He had thought he died when he felt that pain in the back of his neck but here he was. Alive. Small but alive.

He knew he needed to hid. What if one of those flying people comes and attacks him again? Would he come back smaller? Everything was already so big. That other titan was staring his down too. What if it was one of those cannibal titans? He couldn’t risk it.

Eren ran, well more crawled, into a house that had crumbled during the fall of the wall. It had a rock that was crushing it. He leaned against it shaking. There were humans running and screaming. So weak. Yet eren felt no desire to eat them. Instead he watched. Like he did with the greenies. He watched.

“Are you alright?!”

One of the people was trying to talk to him. He didn’t understand a single they were saying. So in response he just tried to mimic the noise the greenies would make.

“You’re showing symptoms of having a concussion of something. And where are your clothes?!”

He felt the human pick him up. Eren struggled but this body he was in felt weak and feeble. The was was gentle with him. He didn’t expect that from humans. The man wrapped his coat around him as they ran towards a thing floating on water. There were hundreds of people trying to get on the floating thing. The was pushed past them and got on with no objection from the human’s dictating who got aboard the floating thing. The man seemed to be looking for something or well someone.

“Armin! Mikisa! I’m so glad to see the two of you are okay!”

The man sat him down next to the blonde human. The man hugged the blonde and the black haired that sat next to him. They seemed to of just finished crying. The three spoke as more tears were shed. He didn’t know what they all were saying. But it seemed emotional.

“Who’s he?”

Eren looked over to be met with multiple sets of eyes and the black haired one pointing a finger at him. He was confused before pointing at himself and tilting his head getting a chuckle out of the man.

“I found him sitting at what used to be our home mikisa. He was showing signs of being concussed. He was slurring his words and was well…nude.”

“Is he going to be alright?!”

Said the blonde one. He seemed more concerned in eren health than Eren did.

“That depends how bad his concussion is. But…hopefully the boy will.”

*The man said before ruffling the blondes hair.*

The sun was setting. Why did none of these humans seem to be getting tired? Why be up when your source of energy is gone? Eren began shutting his eyes. He felt the man shaking him trying to wake him but not even another wall falling could wake Eren right now.

This would mess up his routine wouldn’t it?

Chapter Text

When Eren awoke he noticed he was no longer in the back of a floating thing . He was in a……what was he in? He didn’t know what they were called. He sat up and looked down at his hands.

They were so small now. He wasn’t used to being this small. What had happened again? His memory felt all fuzzy… he looked around the…barn? He noticed the two children from earlier fast asleep along with that fan who had dragged Eren into this mess. Eren sniffed the air.

It smelt like a Titan was near. He looked around the space. No Titan. Was one of these people what he was smelling? He went up to the girl. Smelling her. No… he next went up to the boy with the golden hair. No… they both just made his nose hurt. They stunk.

He lastly went up to the man and leaned in too close to him and smelt him. He smelled him again. Then again. He would’ve sniffed him for a fourth time if he hadn’t woken up.

“What the…what are you doing?!”

The man said sitting up and putting on two see through circle things. He looked worried and confused. Eren mimicked the sounds of the greenies again but the man stayed confused.

Eren let out a sigh. He put his arms up making his hands look like claws. He dramatically stomped and leaned down to pretend to grad something. He took said imaginary thing and bit it before pointing at the man. He did this two more times mimicking the movements of a Titan before the man seemed to understand.

The man’s eyes seemed to widen in confusion and fear at the understanding. He pointed at himself and Eren nodded again. Finally! The non green greenie understood!

“How……”

He said standing up before baking away from Eren. Eren excitedly pointed at himself too before happily jumping. The man didn’t seem as happy as Eren.

“You’re a Titan…..”

The man said it what seemed to be realization. Titan! That’s what Eren was! That was the silly greenie noise for him! That’s why they shouted it whenever he was near!

“A Titan!”

Eren chirped happily. The man on the other hand seemed a mix of relief. Greenie emotions were so odd…

The man had dragged Eren into the woods. Eren wasn’t sure what was going on. He had heard the man mumbling about how ‘he was so happy he wouldn’t have to give Armin if Mikasa this burden’ or something else Eren didn’t understand.

They travelled deep into the woods. The trees were high. So high he couldn’t even see the walls. They finally stopped after what seemed like forever. The man let go of Eren.

“Turn into your Titan form”

Eren tilted his head. The man let out a sigh before mimicking what Eren had done earlier before pointing at the ground. Eren nodded in understanding. Wait how does he turn back to a Titan?

The man’s eyes seemed sighed again before biting his hand. Blood dripped from his hand to the ground. In a flash of lights the man morphed into a Titan. Tall and hairy. And ugly. The Titan shifted to be laying face down. Eren stared as he saw the same man burst out the nape. Woah…

The man pointed at Eren and this time Eren nodded in understanding. He bit his hand (ow) and focused really hard. Lights flashed and he himself morphed into his own 15 meter Titan. He looked down at the man who was doing the action for eating. Did this man was Eren to eat him? Eren winced and shook his head his messy hair shaking.

The man in response nodded. This went on for about 30 more times. Before Eren neck began to hurt. He leaned down picking up the man. It saddened him he’d have to eat his new friend… Eren opened his mouth and a sickening church came as Eren swallowed the man.

He always hated the taste of other titans.
